Speaker 2 (00:39):
Selena's on the cover of the new issue of Annity
Fair right now, where she made a.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Very vulnerable confession.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
She said she's not going to be able to ever
carry her own children. She's battled lupus, which required a
kidney transplant a few years back, and it would just
be too dangerous to try and conceive naturally. She's talked
about having kids with Benny Blanco, so she'll either adopt
or hire a surrogate. Oh so if you're able to

(01:07):
get a surrogate, then your I guess the eggs and all.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
That is still not necessarily not necessarily no, because she
she that's just a house for whose ever embryo it is.
She could get an egg from somebody else if she
can't produce them and use Benny's sperm and create an embryo.
It doesn't it doesn't necessarily mean it's hers.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Oh, okay, got it. Thank you for explaining. Well, we
don't know that.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
We do know, though, adoption is always an option, so
there are other options out there. Thank God for modern medicine.
And you know what, she probably made a lot of
women who are in a similar position feel a little comfortable,
a little bet about themselves her being vocal about it.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
So that was a very powerful statement she gave.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I'm sure because this happens more often that than you hear.
So it's a very relatable thing. And you know, she's
helping people have that or.

Speaker 1 (01:58):

opposed to before, they weren't able.

Think you need family fair to really make a splash
these days at the box office, Deadpool and Inside Out
beetlejuicees are all big family well Deadpools righted are?

Speaker 3 (03:30):
But well we let our sun see it?

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Did I did let them stands?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Or I should say brought appeal because of Marvel and
what have you. You're Amar Courtney Lopez. Time to learn
a new live pack. What is the topic today at
Courtney's corner?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Snack packs?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Snack packs?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Snack packs? Well, a normal ziplockbag is usually too big
to fill for snacks for the kids lunch boxes, although
they do come in snack sizes different sizes now. But
if you don't have those small and here's a trick
to save space and resources, so your heat and eye,
you know, on the stove for a few seconds, cut
the entire zip bloc bag down the middle. The hot
knife will seal the plastic, leaving you with two smaller

(04:09):
bags and those are the perfect size for the kids
snacks if you don't already have the smaller bags.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I saw this video of someone doing this hack of
yours on ig and it looked like it worked perfectly.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
I'm like, oh, that's pretty clever.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
It was very satisfying to watch.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
It was very satisfying to watch. I want to go
try it when we got home to.

Speaker 3 (04:30):

said sushi had a football game Mario in triple digit heat.
What happened to hot dogs and peanuts? Well, that does
kind of sound disgusting.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
It sounds it sounds a little bougie. I do my
save so myfe myself, Cracker Bread, two seventy nine.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
We also assuming the sushi wasn't just sitting in the sun.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yeah, no, it was not just sitting in the sun.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
So we had a sports of palooza this past weekend. Friday,
we went to the Dodgers game while we were having
a heat wave here. First pitch was around seven ten.
It was ninety two degrees outside.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
But the sun's not bad.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
The sun was down though, and it kind of fell.
You would have loved it, honey, because you're always cold.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
It was kind of nice.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I had a nice cold margarita right there. And by
the way, no, I do not drive when I'm showing
these videos with my kids, I'm not. Yes, Sonny, my
youngest drove.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
But that was nice.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
But then on Sunday we got to go to the
NFL home opener of the La Chargers and the Harbaugh
era has been gone.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
They were looking they were looking good and consistent and consistent.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
It gets a tough team in the Raiders and fortunate
enough to be in the owner suite and yeah, I
get a little fancy up in there. They have a
nice spread sushi and uh no hot dogs.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
They got hot dogs and stuff for the kids. They
got a different stum hot dog. No they do. They
got hot dogs, but they.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Were offering other stuff and my son wanted a Californi
year old.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
So he got in there.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
And on the way out of the stadium, you can
stop at one of the carts and get a bacon
wrap hot dog.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Mario Courtney Lopez Here was some quick buzz for you,
Oscar and anyone are Kathy Bates is making retirement plans?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Oh, she says.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
The reboot of Mattlocke is going to be her last gig,
and then she's going to hand up that series. By
the way, premiere September twenty second on CBS and Paramount Plus.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
She's sweet. I remember she came and spoke at my college.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Wow, she's a very good actress. And I wonder why
she wants to make that announcement.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Okay, you know what, good for her?

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I'm maybe thinking of someone else, Kathy Bates.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Oh gosh, I don't remember. Kathy Bates is no misery.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Oh my gosh, what about Mario Courtney Lopez? Here got
a couple new additions to the Egoch Club. Benji Passek
and Justin Paul won an Emmy this past weekend, completing
the four trophy cycle. They won for their song from
Only Murders in the Building. The songwriters previously went an
Oscar for their work in La La Land, a Tony

(08:13):
for Dear Evan Hanson, an a Grammy for the Greatest Showmen.
Now that's impressive because they're different shows. Sometimes you can
win different categories with the same song. They actually want
different songs.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
So yeah, they're they're very talented.

Speaker 6 (08:26):
However, they're winning for songs, so it's not really for
like acting or not share. So it's not like you're
really winning it. I mean you're winning it, but there's
an action.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
How many awards do you have them?

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I have a couple ribbons from school.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
I Feel you, I feel you well.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
They're the twenty of the twenty first members of the club,
along with artists like Viola Davis, Jennifer Hudson, and John Legend.
So congrats to all.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Al Mario, Courtney Lopez. Got some celebs turning a year older.
We're gonna try to guess the agents.

Speaker 4 (08:57):

Speaker 6 (08:59):
We've had them on our You've had him on Access
a few times from Wild and Out's Matt Rife.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
I don't know because his face is very square. Now
it's a little different.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
I'm squared out or rectangle.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
I'm going to say thirty.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Uh my boys, a youngster.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
I'm gonna say he is twenty seven, twenty nine, okay,
twenty nine.

Speaker 6 (09:18):
Ryan Felipe from Cruel Intentions, I know what you did
last summer Reese's.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Ex Well, his daughter I think is like twenty one,
So I'm going to say he's my I'm gonna say
he's hitting fifth level fifty.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
Fifty one fifty is correct. And Colin Firth from The
King Speech Bridget Jones Diary Your favorite Christmas movie ever?

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Yep, Love.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Actually, I think Colin Firth is thirty nine.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
I knew. I knew you were trying to work something up.
I saw it in your face.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
You know me.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
I'm calling his age as fifty seven sixty four.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I was closed at thirty nine.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Lopez coming up, Mario Lopez here, my wife, Courtney. Let's
take it like what's trending on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
Chloe Bailey clears up those dating rumors with Ghanna. If
you want to hear what she's gonna say, you can
search for the Breakfast Club to hear that.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Jeff Bridges talks about the legacy of the Big Labowski.
You can listen to that by searching. Conan O'Brien needs
a friend, doesn't even any friends. Yet every time I
say his name, you feel bad. How bad?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I got to interview Jeff Bridges my shrekss Daily recently
what a nice guy and still a great wig at
seventy five.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
It's a great voice.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
He does have a very cool, laid bag voice.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
And Kristin Crook gave us a sneak peek at her
new show, Murder in a Small Town. You can check
that out by searching for On with Mario.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
What Upmorrow, Courtney Lopez, You're a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey.
We're given major ces this past weekend at the US
soap and they were smooth chee singing, long music.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Taking in the sun that Swifty swooning on social media
and if you haven't seen the pics yet, take a
look at On with Mario dot com.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Let's get back to music, y' all.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Mario, Courtney Lopez an NBC giving us less Jimmy fallon.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
On with Mario Lopez, Hollywood, but so Jimmy.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Kimmel predicted earlier this year that late night TV has
no future, and this may be a sign it's starting
to come true. NBC is cutting the Tonight Show to
four days a week, and they're going to air repeats
on Fridays. Stephen Colbert, Kimmel, Seth Meyers and The Daily
Show are all already on a.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Four day a week schedule.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Earlier this year, NBC cut the live band from Seth
Meyers Show to save money. Now there's a lot of
reasons for this. Streaming is obviously affected late night TV
not as many people are kind of tuning in as
they were. Streaming, by the way, is not really even
making money. That's why a lot of them more consolidating YouTube

(12:03):
is having an effect. I think maybe they've gotten a
little political and it's so divisive these days. A lot
of people have turned off because of that. But it's
all across the board. It's not just a Jimmy fallon.
And to be honest, a lot of their popular segments
or viral moments become very popular the next day on
the internet, so you don't have to stay up late anymore.
So it is the dawn of a new era.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Y'a a Mario Courtney Lopez time. No for one last thing.
LA will be representing at the Super Bowl in February.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Rapper Kendrick Lamar has announced that he has performed the
halftime show.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
He is going to be the first rapper to be the.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Sole headline act. Doctor Dre snuper and Eminem shared the
stage in twenty twenty two.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
This is huge news.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yes it is.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Wh woh woh woh whah, Yeah exactly. I can't believe
get it? Did you just say get it?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Oh my gosh, Tom, I can't believe that he was
chosen for this particular super Bowl because it's in New Orleans.
A lot of people thought it might be low Wayne,
and there's a lot of talent that comes from New
Orleans in Louisiana. Maybe he'll make a guest appearance, but
it was very controversial.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
The next day. It just tips off the incredible year
he had.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And the first thing I thought was poor Drake because
his Fomula song is a dis song and it's just
going next Maybe Drake will make a surprise appearance and audience,
you know what, how a wild would that be if
Drake joined him on stage?

Speaker 5 (13:24):
Will not be?

Speaker 3 (13:24):
And they hugged it out.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (13:26):
That is an awesome point if you get because here's
the irony. Drake I just read has had more Billboard
one hundred hits than any other artist in history, and.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
By like a lot.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yeah, so his catalog is insane and I don't think
he'd want to play second fiddle necessarily, right, but man,
that would be very cool.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
More Mario Lopez on the way all right.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Time for us to punch up. We are back tomorrow
the new case in Courtney's court.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
And all the latest Tillywood buzz. Until then, this is
Mario and Courtney Lopez saying good night
