Speaker 1 (00:01):
With Maria Lopez. It's up here on Mario Lopez Hotline.
Is lighting up? Joining me now on the phone from
the show Fuller House on Netflix. My girl Candice can't remember. Hey,
how are you? Hi? I'm so good? How are you?
You know what I'm doing? I'm doing well? Can this
considering still busy? Uh? The kids being at home is
probably the most challenging. What what about yourself? How how

(00:22):
you holding up during quarantine? Yeah, I'm sure we're holding up. Okay,
I actually, you know I was. I started two thousand
nineteen off as an empty nester, but now I've got
all three kids back in my home and I'm loving it.
My kids are older though, so um, we're you know,
we're having a good time in in spite of the

(00:44):
craziness that's going on in the world. We're just I'm
kind of coveting the family time, you know what. I'm
with you on that. I'm really loving spending as much time.
I mean, I joke, but I'm spending obviously a significant
amount of time, and I'm loving because I don't know
when I will be able to do it again to
this extent. Yeah, right, So I'm appreciately I feel like,
that's the silver lining. This is, this is consolidated quality

(01:08):
family time I never would have had, and I seeing
that as the positive in all of this. And it's
so I can't believe when you you just said you
were an empty nester. My god, because you you look great,
but you still, in my eyes, seems so young. I
can't believe all of you. When you had your first child,
I was, well, we're about this sage, right, Yeah, I
think you had a big head start on you though. Yes.

(01:29):
I so I was married at twenty and I had
my first two. Oh yeah, you were a baby, Which
is kind of cool because you still get to be
young and kind of hang with your kids and and
do all this fun stuff and have the energy. Wow,
that's great. Yeah, pretty close with my kids. So I
bet that's awesome. How many of you got again? Three?

(01:49):
Oh that's great, that's great. Yeah, likewise, that's cool. So
so what about staying active? Are you able to to
keep up with fitness or what are you doing around? Uh?
That kind Yeah, you know, my fitness game has actually
been pretty strong. I've been working out like a beast
all from home. I've been like, but you know, that's
it just starts my day off. Starts my day off right,

(02:12):
and it gives me energy and then it it also
gives me a schedule to you know, be productive. And
I get sweaty, so I have to shower, you know,
I can't like lay around in my sweats all day.
So the fitness game has been really strong. I've actually
been doing some of those workouts live on Instagram just
to share with people and encourage them to get their

(02:33):
bodies moving and you know, not not be stagnant at
home to get out. Good for you, Good for you.
And you're also hosting this big benefit concert on Sunday,
Hope Rising. Tell me about it. Yeah, this is such
a a special event. So my brother Kirk Cameron and
I uh he called me a couple of weeks ago,

(02:54):
and there's been some other really wonderful benefit concerts that
have aired on television, and we watched them, and while
they were great, we we honestly felt like there was
something really big missing from them, and that was the
one element that offers true hope to the world, and
that's God. So we thought, you know, we want to

(03:16):
put together a concert with incredible music with UH and
and and a great, great inspirational messages. So we started
calling all of our our friends and people we knew,
and we have put together an unbelievable lineup. It's the
cream of the crop Grammy Award winning contemporary Christian artists

(03:36):
and inspirational speakers, um. And it's airing on Facebook Live
this Sunday, five pm Pacific time, a p m. Eastern time,
and you know, all the all the proceeds. We're hoping
to raise money for Samaritan's Purse. They are an organization
that have boots on the ground right now in New
York City, uh in Central Park. They've got those white

(04:00):
tents up and online mobile hospital uh sorry, not online,
but mobile hospitals, and they do incredible work. So you know,
we put this this concert together just because we wanted
to give hope to the world. No one's benefiting financially
from it. We've all just done this out of our pockets,

(04:22):
as well as all of the artists like Casting Crowns, Mercy,
Me for King and Country, uh, Natalie Grant, Kirk Franklin,
I mean tens of people. Everyone's just given their time
and energy so we can help people that are affected
by COVID nineteen. Good for you. That is awesome to
hear in such an important time for faith right now
and especially in these tough times, you turned to God.

(04:44):
I'm all about it, so so bravo on that. And
like you said, the money goes to Samaritan's Purse. Uh great,
great cause there um was that difficult to put together
all the all the people involved and everything, or my
last thames because the answers like yes and no. To
produce a live benefit concert of this magnitude in two

(05:08):
weeks is almost unheard of and but but we've managed
to do it because all of the artists that we asked,
they all jumped on board immediately. Nobody turned us down.
But we have been working around the clock to put
this together and and have it for everyone. But you know,
where there's passion, you will get things done and that's

(05:31):
why we've gotten it done. So awesome, awesome, good for you.
We'll look forward to to checking it out. And I
want to talk full our house just briefly. Have the
final episodes already been filmed? Any idea when they'll come out?
They have already been filmed, yes, but we have. We
are actually announcing the air date next week, so you
can tune into my socials on Instagram or Facebook and uh,

(05:54):
next week will be telling you when those last nine
episodes are going to drop, and it's not too far away.
We we've had, like I've had so many people say, please,
since we're in quarantine, you let them release the last
episodes of Fuller House now. But we're so we're announcing
that day next week. Nice. Yeah, you got captive audience, right,
might as well take advantage of that. And I know

(06:15):
you recently had a birthday. Happy belated, Um. Were you
able to celebrate despite the social distancing. Yeah, man, I
have one of the best birthdays ever. I was surrounded
by my husband and my three kids, the people I
love the most, and we just did We did all
my favorite things, like we cooked all of my favorite dishes,

(06:38):
and we baked carrot cake, which is my favorite cake.
And there was no pressure I had. I didn't have
to host anyone, I didn't have to worry about getting
dressed up like right, hung out and enjoyed the day.
And my family surprised me with a brand new bicycle
that is so gorgeous and I just can't wait till
I can actually get out onto the bike. Path at

(06:59):
the beach and rye it yeah, I know, well, hopefully
it's around the corner. Um. Always nice catching up with you, Candice.
Appreciate you taking the time. Watch Hope Rising Sunday at
eight pm Eastern on Facebook Live Canada. Stay safe and
healthy and best to the family. Thanks Mario, to you too,
Thank you so much. You got well. Thank you, take
care Okay, bye on with Mario. A little petty
