you know really, you know I get there, It's like
it's already crossed over.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
If I get up, if I sleep intil like noon,

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I gotta have a breakfast.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Okay, that's all right, breakfast.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Tackle thing going on. Yeah, it's like a one minute drive,
so it's not too bad.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Okay Yo. How much fun was ww RAW on Netflix?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
At the end of it, Dome man, that was that
was like a mini mania.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
It was I thought I was. I was, like right,
all the lessends.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Were If you would have called it WrestleMania forty point
one or forty point two, whatever it would have passed,
it would have totally made sense. Like the amount of
ain't events that it was just back to back to
back to back to back. You open up the thing
with the Rocke, you know, I'm sorry, you open it
up a triple H and the freaking Pyro and yeah,
I mean that was pretty epic. And then the Rock

(01:13):
comes out. We were sitting behind the Rock's mom, so
it was really cool.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Oh she's sweet. I love her.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
She's sweet, but she does give her own color commentary A.
She kept looking at her because she knew we were
into it, right. She kept turning around. She was like,
I'm not feeling this, which when her when Roman Reigns
in the Rock were in the ring, she felt like
something was going to go down and she was not
feeling that she would. She didn't like the tension that
was being put, the tension between the family. You know,

(01:39):
all related, bro, Yeah you're not. They're all they're all connected,
they're all related.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
You don't want to mess with that Polynesian family right there. Hey,
I've talked to the mom. She said she has never
missed her son in the ring, never, and you don't
have much. That dude travels and all that, and I
was like, really, that's crazy. That's that's that, that's some.
That's some support right there, and I love that she's
still there and she's so so for I think it's awesome.
You were actually sitting exactly on the other side because

(02:04):
you were next to like Ashton Kutcher and all that.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
We were on the other side of the ring.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, they were pointing you out there like he's over there.
I'm like, I don't see.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Him, and then I oh, your boys, your boy saw
your boys? H yeah, okay, yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I saw your dimple dog like he only one guy
has a dimples, dude.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
It was so it was so funny, You're sure was
cool by the way.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
It was so funny because you know how we'll go,
this is awesome, this is awesome, and sometimes they went uh,
oh fuck. It was the one that they uh, the
one where they're cussing, I'm fucking up this whole story
and joke right here, he'll hit it.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
It'll be cool, though, Oh no, we won't.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
No fuck, no, hold on a second, not you suck
you no bullshit? What was the other one they're yelling
gab that like there was this is awesome and this
is bullshit.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
No, this is bullshit, or this is you said something
that they did? Were they chanting oh yeah, yeah right,
holy shit, holy shit. That was it. Holy shit, holy shit,
my little.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Guy, you know, my five year old, my recently turned
five year old. It's going holy shit, general, hey, chill, chill.
And then when it got all quiet, he would continue,
holy shit, holy shit, and well, all.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
The adults were leting. Eh, he's got a new phrase, dude.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
It was I was dying because you know, they were
getting so into it was so funny. Anyway, man, we
got to go to Mania. Well, I'm gonna see you
later today, so we'll talk about it. But that's gonna
be awesome. It's gonna be in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I already got the whole thing set up. I'm gonna
have a sweet, So if you want to be part
of that, let's do it. I gotta do it. Show up, dude,
I'll already have a.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Sweet, perfect perfect, good looking out bro, good looking out.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I talked about you glowingly of course, on my show
the other day about the new comedy special that just dropped.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I did. I said, Hey, this fool is multi generational.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
You could be five to ninety five and ethnically across
all the boards.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
I think that's a testament to his talent.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
I said that, I said, I'm so happy for him
and proud that he's continuing to kill it after all
these years. But in this particular Netflix special for those
who may not be familiar, the Legend of Fluffy is
the title, what are you talking about this son?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
You know what? It's a it's a career of almost
thirty years, you know, bro. And I'm just like, what's
been going on lately? Good or bad? And there's there's
quite a bit of bad. And it's one of those
things where you know, sometimes in life you got to
get them lemons and you got to make lemonade. And
so this is a.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Big special about limonadas at a lot of things that
happened that I found a way to spinning trying to
find the positive in it and if nothing else, it's
at least, you know, a good story.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Hey, that's a great attitude to have it. I know
you shot it in Miami. How is that?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I'm way too old for Miami. I'll just say it
right now. I'm late. Late. It's a whole different energy, man.
It's like, you know, don't get me wrong. I was
dressed for the part, but I can't hang like I
used to. I remember twenty years ago being in Miami
and I felt like I was like losing touch with
being able to go out. I can't hang, I can't
they I got invited to so many parties and I'm like,

(04:57):
I got a really nice room and it's warm, and
I'm just gonna go and do that.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
We're the same Asian. I'm exactly there with you. Miami's
while too, because they'd be having dinner like at ten o'clock.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
I'm like, what I'm not. I'm not down for that.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
I can hang, but I can go hard maybe one night,
and then I got to tap out for like a week,
you know what I'm saying. Then then then I'm like
I'm no good. I'm like useless. I'm gonna supposed to
be product.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
You have to be able to drink and then get
to the airport at six a m.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Wow, I remember that.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Yeah, drink in the airport and wake up really good.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Still, you know those are the days, shit, those are
the days. It catches up real quick. You're doing a
lot of tour dates on the calendar for twenty twenty five.
I feel like you never take a break, bro, But
you I know you love being on the road, does it?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Does it become taxing physically?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
It does? It does. And I actually took a break
the month of December, which was crazy because, uh, in
order for me to take this break successfully, I had
to leaveless state, and so I went to Texas for
almost a month. And I'm like, wow, Okay, I slept
so much. I was going to bed roughly around five
am on average, just because I was still stuck on

(06:02):
California time. But then I was sleeping in until like
one two o'clock in the afternoon. And I have I
have power shutters on the on the windows, so it
basically like for hurricanes and stuff like that, you have
the button and it just bousically like a you're ready
for the purge, and so purge are hurricanes, whichever one
wants to get you, and it blacks out the house.
And so because it's so dark, I was able to

(06:24):
sleep in and just rest. It was it was a
trip to not be performing. I mean, don't get me wrong,
I snuck in a couple of comedy club shows, but
that's nothing as far as like, yeah, the tour and
the week to week.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
No, it's good to disconnect with it was nice.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, it was nice. And I think the only reason
I came back is because of the launch of the Special,
and of course I wanted to be at day one
at WWE. And now just this next week is just
going to be crazy. From here, I'm going to New
York to do more press for the Special and then
back on the road.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Good for you.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Man.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Is it true about a year ago you mentioned you
actually considered retiring from comedy.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I retiring It was more so of a conversation, you know,
just like, ah, after Dodger Stadium, because it's like, man,
this is like such an awesome storybook ending, because it's
like it's twenty five years almost to the day, like
to time. It like that, like really like twenty five
years is if you have a regular nine to five,
twenty five years is already the retirement time. I get

(07:22):
the gold watch. Yeah, and you know, off to the sunset.
I'm gonna start fishing. But I thought that, like, how
am I gonna top Dodger Stadium. I'm like, I don't,
you know, I feel like I've peaked out as far
as specials go, Like what do you do after that?
What's the new goal? And so it's hard to get motivated.
But I still love doing this, and I still feel
young enough and still relevant, even though I don't want

(07:42):
to hang out late night in Miami and have you know,
dinner at eleven right now?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Exactly, you still got that, but I did talk about it.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
I just think that i'd get bored.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Yeah, no, that makes sense, and you would, and you would.
You got too much.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Energy, bro, I'd be like Brady Brady freaking. He was like,
I'm done with football. Then, like you know, a month later,
you're like a ship. I'm here at the house. I
need to go through something exactly.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
I'm exactly exactly exactly.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I want to talk about this fan meat and greet
that you're doing at the iconic Randy's Donuts right here
in La celebrating.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
The release of the special. Did you get to make
like a special donut for the event?

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Yeah? They made me. They said, what kind of donut
would GABRILOK, let's just say, I'm like, come on, it
would be a chocolate cake donut. So they got a
chocolate donut, they cut it in half, they filled it
full of cream, they put all kinds of chocolate stuff
on top, and then more whipped cream. So, I mean
it's it's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
It is just it's a sight, dude, coffee and donuts.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
It really is. You can't even like if you try
to bite it, You're just gonna get cream all over
your face.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
It's it's almost Hey, you're used.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
To that, right, come up from.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
The place right there. Hey, I don't think I've ever
asked you this, but I'm just curious. Who's the mount
Rushmore for you? Comic wise?

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Ooh of comics, Yeah, of comics. Well, I can tell
you that for me, Eddie Murphy was was who I
was watching as a kid who got me into comedy.
Robin Williams is who really got me excited about performing.
I loved his energy. I loved how everything felt spontaneous.
I loved his characters. I love the voices and the
silliness and the heart that he put into it. So

(09:23):
it would be Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Paul Rodriguez. Also
because he was the first brown person I saw doing
it and I became a quick fan of his and
everything that he said was so relatable, and even when
he had his sitcom AKA Pablo, I'm like, Wow, he's
he's got a TV show.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
I was in that bolt that Do you know? I
was in that?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I was doing I was his nephew Tomas.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
In aka so many years.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yeah, I'm gonna send you. I'm gonna send you a pick.
I'm in Forarid. I'm gonna send your pick because somebody
said we were it there. Yeah, I was ten years old.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Is that when you were still able to rock the single? It?
I was.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I was rocking a scene like because I was wrestling young.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
But as I if you tell me your fourth person,
I'm gonna find this picture and send it to you.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
What a trip? So okay, So to answer your question,
Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Paul Rudrie List and I guess
if I had to pick a fourth one, wow, Like
I'm trying to think of who really, because then you know,
everybody's got their their people. And I mean, I'm telling
you more so comics that were influential to me. But

(10:30):
if I had to just go like a fan of
like somebody that you know, like if I had to
go just based on today, my Mount Rushmore, my Mount
Rushmore comics for today would probably be like a Chris
Rock Bill burd definitely Bill burd H. I do like Chappelle.
I think Chappelle is awesome. And man, that next one

(10:53):
is a little challenging.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I'm like, you have to put yourself on there. I
put you in there.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
I think that's kind of weird.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
We nominate you, know, we nominate you.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I know, but you do with that. Okay, but but
I you know, otherwise it just feels kind of no.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
I get you, I get you. I sorry, fine, Carrot Top,
we'll do Carrot, We'll do ca Hey, all right, I
think I think you should do me. That's a great
that's a great list. You can't go wrong. Ay, tribought
on the picture I just sent you right now.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Oh shoot, you sent me the pic already.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Okay, somebody just injuries crit Oh wow is that wild?
That's crazy?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Huh. Dang, I didn't recognize you.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
No single, no single it.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Hey, bro, you've always had epic hair. Dudem so jealous.
Look at that. That hair was not going anywhere. I
thought there was gonna last. I made it to twenty
seventeen and then it just petered out. And it's like, yeah, yes,
you got a good run. Hand you could hear retired
before I did.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Yeah, hey, they went twenty five years and checked out
just like that.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
All do you think Paul Paul was right there?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
And he was pretty young, dude, that he looks good now.
So I was ten, so he's had to be I
think he was in his twenties, maybe twenty seven or something.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Is he pushing seventy right now?

Speaker 2 (12:09):
He's got to be what's the math on that? So yeah,
he's gotta probably be pushing seventy. Yeah, but he he
looks good now, you know, he kind of looks you know,
he looks good, looks the same.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
So yeah, what a trip man that you said that.
I love you that you brought that up. But listen.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Importantly, be sure to check out my guy's new stand
up special, The Legend of Fluffy, which is streaming right
now on Netflix.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
