Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario a little bit Dan, Hello, Fez
joining me down Zoom from the Fox drama The Cleaning
Lady actor Levine Andrews. Welcome to show Man, How are
you bad? Thank you? Thanks for having me, Thank you
for taking the time. Um, you're a series regular for
season two. Just had my guy, Oliver Hudson on the
show not too long ago. I love this premise. Who's
(00:21):
your character this season? My character, his name is Robert Kamdar. Um,
what's the best way to describe him? Very quickly and
educated criminal? Those are the best kind. Those are the
best kind right there. That must be fun to play.
They work within the law normally, don't they? Yeah? Well yes,
say do we were? There's a whole community here in
l a of them. Um. Is your character someone willing
(00:44):
to stand up to the cartell or is he just
trying to get the girl at the end of the
day the latter, I think, Um, who has stood up
to the car town? Well, it's if they have, they
failed miserably because they're ruthless. It's a whole another deal.
It's not the mob. The car Hotel's a whole another deal,
right there. Um. We were also in the dropout on
(01:05):
Hulu had received a lot of awards and attention. Congratulations
on that. Were you surprised at all the accletes? No? Um,
that sounds incredibly arrogant, but I thought we didn't um.
And Amanda was brilliant and it was extremely well written.
I mean, considering those those are real people. Um. And
(01:29):
I remember Amanda saying, like, you know, how how do
we render these people as human beings? Because without insulting them? Uh,
how did they get away with that? You know? Uh?
Yet try and make that real, to give it an
emotional reality. Was you know, that's a task, and hopefully
(01:51):
we came close to doing it. Absolutely, we've been involved
in some very cool projects. Um. Speaking of which, let's
talk a little lost on the twenty years now since
it's debut. Can't believe that? Could you see someone trying
to reboot that? At some point everything gets rebooted, doesn't it.
I was just that'd be a clever way to revisit that.
(02:14):
They're lost yet again. I mean again, it's it's like
when when you mentioned the amount of time that's gone past,
It's like, my my youngest was born during that by
two thousand and five and sixteen now and like you
just just just doing this this project, the cleaning Lady.
I meet cast members who were obviously younger than I am,
(02:36):
and they grew up watching it, right makes you feel
it makes you feel a little, uh, a little senior.
You mentioned one child? How many? How many children do
you have? I have a thirty year old and another
boy in England? Oh? Nice, nice, Well what are they into?
He's a full grown man. Well he writes for the
(02:57):
theater and just as a fisherman. But he was his California.
He was like, he's like Malibupia catching sharks. I love that,
both of them into cool stuff right there. I love it.
Two boys? Huh excellent? Um, are you finding that audiences
are discovering Lost or some of the other projects because
(03:18):
of streaming now you get to reach so many more
people in generations that way. Well, when I wander around supermarkets,
as I tend to do from time to time, I've
noticed that people got into Lost during the pandemic, and uh,
I mean they've been very complementary. But it seems to
have it seems to have a life outside of what
I thought it was, right, which I guess it is
(03:41):
a good thing very new. Anytime you can reach an
audience and they can see your work, I think it
is a very cool thing. Is this true, Navin that
you you have some tab dancing skills? Did you take?
Are you a trained dancwer? Absolutely not, So that's a
that's a rumor out there. It's a good one. Who
said that I had to do like Bollywood dancing for
a film um called Bride and Prejudice. But I was
(04:02):
trained for nine weeks to do that. It did not
come nat from me. It's not okay. That must have
been a fun process, though he was arduous. It is.
It is. It's a lot of work. It's like learning
a new language. Smoke cigarettes, Yeah, are you smoker heavy?
What do we up to? A pack a day? Two
packs a day when I'm working? Which is two packs
(04:23):
a day? Really? And yet your voice sounds golden and syrupy,
he did. There's no gravel to it for someone who
smokes two packs a day. Like if you listen to
Larry King, he sounded like he smoked two packs a day.
That's very kind of you. But maybe it's the cigarette.
Maybe it is, Well, what are those cigarettes? I haven't
gotten here a Marbora Lights, Marboro Lights. All right, I
(04:45):
like your style, old school. You'll appreciate this story. Then,
do you have you ever? Because I only seen Dennis
Quaid do this one time. We're at a golf course.
He had two cigarettes lit at the same time and
he held him down like this, and I was like wow.
Then he was doing this taking alternate puffs. I've never
seen anyone does that. But I was wondering if someone
who smokes tupacs, do you do the two cigarette move.
(05:06):
It does happened. It does happen. So you and Dennis
Quaid are the only ones. Wow, So it does happen.
I love it. I love it. Um. Cleaning Lady's very
cool show. Most was drama on Fox in the last
couple of years. Congratulations on its success. For you out there,
watch The Cleaning Lady. If you haven't, it's Mondays on Fox. Navigan,
thanks for checking in. Thank you so much. Maria with
