I'm doing well, brother, Nice to see you again. Den
of Thieves two Pantera that's hitting theaters January tenth. It's
a sequel to your action movie. What's up with Big Nick?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
In this one? He's a big jerk, is what he is? Y?
You know.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
In the first one, I avoided the clutches of the
lapd which is just a win in general. And then yeah,
I head over to Europe for a new heightst Big
Nick gets wind of where I am and, just like
the leach that he is, he was to come over
there and get a piece of the act.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Well, I've seen a little. It looks pretty intense and
you do a good job. And it was was fitty
in this one? Is Fitty's that in this one?
Speaker 1 (00:57):
No, he's just a producer. Man fifty died in the first.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
I don't know if he got resurrected or something. Okay,
Oh no, no, No.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
He's a cool dude, though I'm sure he appreciated working
with you and.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Has a lot of respect for you and your dad.
Right there? Was that a good time?
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Yeah, man, we we were the Jackson.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Boys over there.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
He's Curtis fifty cent Jackson Jackson, so we have fun
with that.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I call him uncle. Curtis fifty is my guy. You know.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
I got to see where this premiere is going to be,
and I hope he's there because I love chopping it
up with that dude. The last time I saw him,
crazy enough, I was at a disgusting Boston Celtics game.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
But you know, fifty is my guy. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
No, me too, likewise, and I know you work with
Gerard Butler. That dude's a trip. So I got a
friend of mine who is a designer. He told me
he designed his crib and Gerard asked for a tepee
in his backyard, like like a like a TV, like
an Indian style tepee. And I'm like, for real, like
a TV's Like, yeah, what's he doing there? Is like
I don't know, but he wanted a TP.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Weird a weird.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
You got to ask all me about his TP.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah that's a trick.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Man.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Hey, I know you're a big wrestling fan because I'll
be seeing you at these WWE events.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
And you've got a podcast called No Contest Wrestling. What
you talk about on.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
There man a bit of everything.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
You know. We we obviously me and my co host T. J.
Jefferson of The Rich Eysen Show. Uh, we get on there,
you know, obviously do the recap of the week of
what's been going on, kind of where we think storylines
are going and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
And my favorite part.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
About it is the interviews we've We've been blessed with,
you know, being able to talk to some people that
I really admire.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Our first guest was a friend of mine.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
I kind of had to open the Black Book and
be liked a favor and uh.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
It would seeing Pump.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
After that, I had to hit another friend of mine,
swear from ae W And after that, we've had Mark, Henry,
Eric Bischoff, Bianca bel.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Aire, we just had Trick Williams last week.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
So it's you know, it's been really cool and I
think what makes ours a little different is we really
want to tap into the fan side of the superstars.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Because you know, they've been on a bunch.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Of shows where they talk about what's going on, Yeah,
talk about what's going to happen, and that's really it,
and we want to know. We want to see that
fan side of you because you know, through media training,
I've been taught.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
That relatability is lickability.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
So when people can see that fandom within the superstars,
I think they have a new level of appreciation for him.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
When it's all.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Said, absolutely that's my approach as well. You're absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
What were your thoughts on the Vince McMahon doc.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
See the Vince Doc.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
I felt like as a wrestling fan, I've heard the
stories of million times.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
You know, it was great for.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
People who are interested, who don't watch on a weekly basis,
or who aren't as well versed.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
In just sports entertainment. But I've heard those stories before.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Man, you know, I've heard about the Monday Night Wars.
I know about the Montreal screw Job. I think the
biggest thing that I took from in was his relationship
with Shame. I was at WrestleMania thirty two where he
jumped off the cell and I remember thinking like, man,
(04:35):
this dude does not have to do this, and he
puts on for us. I got such a love for
Shane McMahon because I see myself in him a little bit.
You know. Obviously his relationship with his father has its
holes in it, but just a guy who gave his
(04:56):
all for the family name as a son of a legend.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Man.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
I respect that dude so much and I would love
to have a conversation with him, not about you know,
Vince or any of that.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
But just his psyche on Dude. The stuff you jump.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Off of that fool was crazy, I would know. I
thought it was fascinating. Man, I really enjoyed it real quick.
Give me your mount rushmore of all time favorite wrestlers.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
All right, these are my just so the public knows.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
These are my all time favorite personal This has nothing
to do with nobody else, but uh, the rock gotta
be up there, Stone Cold gotta be up there.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah that was me, dude. That was That was me
for sure.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
And I gotta go with Oh, this is this is
rough because I'm gonna leave somebody off and I'm gonna
be mad and I'm gonna be like, yo, hit Mario,
Oh somebody that I like really enjoyed, because I really
in my mind Triple H is there.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
But I know in my heart of hearts, I hated
Triple H. When I was a kid. But I respect
what he.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Did, so I'm gonna put I'm gonna put Taker there
because he was my original first favorite wrestler.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yeah, and then the and for the fourth spot, I
gotta go. I gotta go with the greatest of all time,
rubber Rings. Bro my goat right there.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Hey, man, I refect.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
I respect the uh, the the passion out there.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
I love it. Hey, what's up with music? You wrapping
it all these days? Or what's up?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
No?
Speaker 4 (06:30):
I when it When it came time to make a
career choice, you know, I gave up music because, you know,
just to be completely transparent, I feel that Hollywood type
casts rappers. I know what I like just as a
rap baby myself. I know what my dad can do.
I know what rolls my dad can kill, and I
(06:52):
feel like there is a a stigma put on him
because so many people know Ice Q and not Osh
Jackson Senior.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Like I know the levels that my dad has and.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Most of his heartfelt performances are stuff that he's written
for himself. And I know there's just certain roles that
the powers that be are they just can't see a
rapper in because they have this ideology of who they
are as a person without you know, even sitting down
with him. I always say that nobody wants to see
(07:28):
Superman throw one hundred dollars.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Bills in the club, you know, so they're just not
going to do that.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
And you know, as far as making a name for myself,
which is anybody with a jr.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Attached to the end of their name knows how.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Hard that can be, especially when you do a movie
about the guy that is your dad. But when it
came to making a name for myself, I know that
music wise, there's nothing I'm going to do to be
able to touch what that guy did, you know, for
our family. But I know there are plenty of trophies
and things out there that he wasn't considered for that
(08:02):
he deserves in film, and so I'm going to go
get those. When I was a kid, I wanted this
is very superficial. When I was a kid and I
wanted that goal. I wanted that popcorn from MTV so bad.
And like I saw, my dad nominated a few times
for the MTV Movie Awards and we never got the popcorn,
and that bothered me so much.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
And when I did straight out of confident.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
It just happened to fall on the twenty fifth anniversary
of the MTV Movie Awards.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
And I won the popcorn.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
And the first time my family got the popcorn, it
had my name on it. And so that's how I
know I'm destined to get the trophies in film for us.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
Hey, man, you manifested that. Good for you. I'm sure,
I'm very proud brother.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Well, listen, I want everyone to be sure to catch
Oshay in the new action movie Gennathee's to Pantera when
it hits theaters on January tenth. Thanks for checking in, brother,
and I'll see you at the end to it. Dome
w Hey, we're gonna we have to get you in
the ring. Player, We'll square up, We'll.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Get in there.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Listen, give me a year, give me let me get
my R and B body together.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
That sounds good, all right, man, take care, all right, man,
you too.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
Get you on with Mario Lopez.
