Latest with Lorna Rosa there as well after you listen
to this episode. Right, So, there have been reports of

(00:46):
Remy Ma throwing shots Clarissa Shield's Way on a song
potentially a disc record. Now, there's an artistnamed Connie Diamond.
She is a fire artist. I love Connie Diamond. She
is out of New York. I believe is out of
the Bronx. Let me see, I feel like she'd be
saying big bronx. Okay, yeah, out of the bronx here

(01:06):
in New York. And you guys may remember her, recognize
her because she had that song. Well, first of all,
if you're from New York, you know Connie Diamond in
general because a lot of the female rap scene here,
I mean, she's a part of it. You can't ignore her.
I got to know her music this summer that I
moved to New York. Everywhere I went out, they were
playing like because you know, there's a lot of the

(01:27):
drill artists and that's like such a big thing here
in New York. But when it comes to the female
drill rappers, there weren't a lot of female drill rappers
that that I was hearing. So the summer that I
moved to New York, Maya the Don and Connie Diamond
like their music was it was running crazy and Lolerbrook
of course was running crazy here in New York. She

(01:48):
had the song get on Ratchet that remy Ma hopped on.
The remix of that song was everywhere. So even if
you're not here in New York, you're probably familiar with
that song. But Connie Diamond dropped a new project. It
is called Underdogs Season two. Now, this project dropped September
or around September twelve, so it's only been circulating for
a few weeks. But there is a song on this

(02:09):
project that fans are pointing to because remy Ma, who
is a very close friend of hers. By the way,
she's talked about remy Ma and just some of the
things that she's been able to learn from remy as
a female rapper, a rapper from New York, you know,
one of the rap girls who's like sexy and beautiful
and doing other things, but also she raps in her
personas very much don't play with her, and we know

(02:30):
that that is that was remy Ma as well, so
you can kind of see where the mentorship and the
friendship and the you know, all the vibes come in there.
So they've gotten really close from that time, and Connie
credits her, you know, for giving her advice and being
able to be you know, one phone call away all
the time. Now this song drops on her Underdog season
two project, and the fans go crazy, and there have

(02:52):
been reports that this song is a disc to Clarissa Shields.
I have spoken to Connie Diamond and she tells me
this was not a this song at all. That is
not true. Let's take a listen to the song. It
said that you number two when you mad him the one,
it ain't my fault.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
You're dusty and bummer.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I look like that verse right there from the song
is what people you know, that's what people are pointing to. Now, okay,
to the fans point when you hear, uh, why would
I fight you? You're number two? Why would I fight
you when I'm the one? It's you know, Clarissa Shill
walks around rightfully so because she is number one, and
what she does letting people know she's number one. We

(03:31):
saw them argue back and forth online and that whole
thing with you know, Pet Poos and Clarissa, and you know,
when Remy aired out the situation and we then learned
that uh, Pet Poos and Clarissa were dating in the
first place. There was a lot of arguing back and forth.
And during that argument, Clarissa Shields came out and said,
y'all come get in the ring. Let's let's let's box like,
come get in the ring. And that was put out

(03:54):
there for her as well, and Remy's like, wow, now
why would I do that, like so rightfully so fans.
You know, there were a few entertainment outlets that picked
up on this as well too. I get it. I
think we all kind of And then also the name
of the song is head Tap. The name of the
song is head Tap. Okay, everything in this one little part,

(04:16):
but mind you, it's a full song. But everything in
this one little part you could definitely take and infer
could have been direct shots or jabs, no pun intended
at Clarissa Shields. But from what I'm told by Connie Diamond,
it is not a dis song. Now, I do have
a friend who mentioned to me that, you know, prior
to me reaching out to Connie, I reached out to

(04:37):
someone kind of close to the situation who had told
me the same thing that it was not a disc track,
that they were just in the booth talking, you know,
doing what they do, talking and talk, doing what they do.
But this was not something that was like, Okay, this
is the moment where I'm taking shots at her on
a record that is not Remy's focus at this point.
Is it's you know what I'm told. But I do
want to say though, I mean, the song get me

(05:00):
attention Connie Diamond just dropped the project. So now if
y'all gonna talk about this and we gonna talk about it,
you gotta go listen to the full project. I want
to say. In me researching this song and trying to
figure out because and trying to figure out if this
was a this or not, I got more in depth
with what the project even is because it's called Underdog
Season two. So Connie Diamond put this out in the

(05:22):
caption this is what kind of got me thinking, maybe
this is not a disc track, Like maybe this is
just the rap girls really rapping. Her caption, Connie Diamond
posted the album art for this and said, Underdogs don't
move alone. These are the masterminds behind the boards that
gave Underdog season its heartbeat, and she's like, you know,

(05:42):
just showing love to some of the people that worked
on the project with her. She says, this ain't just
my season, as our season of producers, the creatives, the engineers,
the visionaries, every Underdog that helped make Underdog Season two legendary,
even the ones that are no longer with us. Thank you. Sidebar.
The people working behind the scenes never get enough shine,
so less turn the lights drop a heart if you ready,

(06:03):
so stuff like that. I'm like, I don't know. I
really think maybe this is just her seasoned feeling and
Connie Diamond, you know, and having this conversation with her
about this project behind the scenes and getting ready for
the segment. I invited her to come on to the
show so we can have a conversation just about like,
you know, where the New York rap girl scene is,
for the girls at our cost that are underground that
are blowing up. I know Connie Diamond has been I

(06:26):
feel like she has kind of left kind of like
that underground world. But I do think that she's still
fighting for a lot of people in a lot of
ears to hear her. So when I read this caption,
I'm like, I think that this project, she wants this
to be just kind of like yo, I'm here, even
though she's been here, but like a like no pun
intending to Clorisa Shields, but like she's stepping in the ring.

(06:47):
She ready for the fight. She's here and that's the
energy that this record with Rein is giving. So nothing
more we can say on that, because again, you heard it,
you heard it right from the source, You heard it
right from Connie Diamond herself via the Ladiest to Laurena
that this was not a diss at Clarissa Shields, This
was not a disc song. They just doing what they
do now. In other news speaking of this is or

(07:15):
lack thereof, I think Mariah Carey then kind of you know,
through some shots Nick Cannon's way, and we're gonna be
hearing that pretty soon. So Mariah Carey has a new
project coming out that she has been going around everywhere
and promoting it. When she was at the Eye Her festival,
she talked a lot about it. She's been doing. She
did ka Sanatch stream which I saw a video earlier

(07:36):
of tylerl who's a part of Like Kay's Like Streamer group,
saying that Mariah Carey was the worst guest they ever had.
And there are a lot of the Lambs, which you know,
I'm a Lamb, I'm a Mariah Carey fan, that we're
upset about him for saying that. We're upset at him
for saying that. I think a lot of it is
the age thing, because Mariah Carey is Mariah Carey, and

(07:58):
she's older and he's here younger. You know, people that
we're just now getting to meet I get it, but
I I honestly, I felt like what he said wasn't disrespectful,
it was just honest. So second listener, is how lit
the word celebrity?

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Oh my gosh that has came to Mafia throwne three right,
Cary ding On. And I only say and I only
say Mariah Carry because I feel like her intentions was
to promote her album and and I and I don't
feel like there's nothing wrong with that. You feel I'm saying,

(08:31):
because business, business, you gotta respect, you gotta respect good business.
You feel I'm saying, but what was it? What was it?
What was the exchange for us? Like I know she
didn't want to sing. I know she didn't want to dance.
You feel them saying, But I feel like Kai he
hed up his in the burger. She promoted her album
cause I spoke to kids, He did everything that he
wanted to eat. Everything that that probably was her team
attentions and her attentions, And I feel like it wasn't
really there wasn't really nothing in the change. If you're

(08:51):
gonna come on Mafia Throne, you feel I'm saying, you
have to come and you have to be vulnerable. You
feel I'm saying, you have to come. Be ready to
do what's in the box, Be ready to do hot ones,
be ready to jump in the pool, be ready to
you what I'm saying. Be ready to come, come have fun.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
So the album is called Here for All. The album
drops on September twenty six. Now the album you Know There.
Anderson Park is on the album, who she also talks
about in this Girl King interview. Not only is he
in the album, but he's in one of the visuals
for the album, for the song that he's on, and
they're very much in love in this video. Okay, smiling, happy, touchy, touchy,

(09:28):
all the things, but the little shot that I think
and this is not anything she confirmed in an interview,
but I'm gonna tell you how I got here. So
let's say a listen. Mariah Carey talks about a song
that she wrote where she mentions or she kind so
kind of like an open letter to a narcissist that
she had to deal with in her life. Let's take
a listen.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I won't entertain all your narcissistic ways. I want allow it.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Did you have a specific person in mind or was
that just a random thought? Were you're looking at her
picture internally, why did you want to include that one?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I liked it.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
I liked the vibe of it, you know, But it's
it's a little sourcing.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Now, y'all know, we just had a conversation with Nick
Cannon at the Breakfast Club and one of the things
he revealed to us was that he recently was diagnosed
as a narcissist. Now, granted, the album drops in a
few weeks, Mariah Carey's album, so there's no way she
saw that interview and then went and wrote this song,
and you know whatever. And of course Nick Cannon is

(10:25):
not the only narcissist in the world. It maybe one
of like the only people I know that when actually
got diagnosed with it. By the way, I don't think
men can be diagnosed as narcissists. If we're chatting about it,
I'm joking, but I do think that it was. I
think it's interesting. I think it's interesting to sit down
with Nick Cannon and hear him say what he said
on the Breakfast Club and hear him say that it

(10:45):
took him up until this time to even understand that
he was a narcissist, and to you know, to start
getting some help or having conversations with people about it,
and Mariah Carey makes his whole record about dealing with
the narciss is at some point in her life. I'm
putting two and two together just because I mean, it's

(11:06):
just what I do. But y'all let me know what
y'all think here with this one. If she may have
been talking about her, because I think a lot of
the conversation around Mariah carry and Nick Cannon is always
I mean a lot of it. Nick Cannon has contributed
to too that he couldn't handle being with her because of
her fame and you know, all of those things, and
he's spoken to that, but we never really got to

(11:27):
hear too much about what she felt from him in
that relationship because he couldn't handle those things. And he
talked about his ego and that relationship relationship in certain
things at the Breakfast Club as well. So I don't know,
I think I'm picking up when Mariah's putting down. I
kind of think she's talking about her, But you know,
that's just me inferring here. But one of the things

(11:48):
she did talk about indefinitely, and she kind of didn't
talk around. She gave us enough to be able to
take it and leave with it. Gael King asked her
about her current relationship or lack their of, with Anderson
Pock and here's what she had.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
I reached out to him. Why he's brilliant.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Well, that's a good reason.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
He's really a great artist.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Now, you know, there are pictures of you all holding hands.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Is this just he just likes to hold my hand?
He just grabs my hand. I don't know what he's doing.
I think holding hands is very nice.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Are you saying it's just strictly we're just friends, But
because now people are cheering for you, thinking, I hope
this is a thing, or maybe it's.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Not a thing.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
How do you see it?

Speaker 3 (12:29):
He's a handholding club.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I know it. That's right, hand holding club. I'm gonna
use that one. She said, he's in the hand holding club.
I think the you know, as you get older and
you're dating and this is not all new for you,
and you know it's different when you're Mariah Carried number one,
and Anderson Pocket is famous as well too. But when
you're Mariah Carried bringing people into your world, and now

(12:55):
especially because she has kids now her and Nick Cannon's twins,
are older to the point where they can recognized Mommy
got a little friend. He not just our uncle, This
is mommy's friend friend. I don't know if you've ever
had to call your mom's friend your uncle.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
I have.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
It is a very confusing experience if you know, you know,
but they know what's going on. So at this point,
I think she has to approach things the way that
she's approaching them. And this is not since his first
rodeo whatsoever. So I do understand that she, you know,
she knows how to navigate it in a way where
she can express what she just expressed, which gives that

(13:28):
she's happy with where they are. It's important to her
because he's spending very quality time and very sensitive time
with her. But you ain't gonna get too much else, period,
And that's all. She did the same thing about Nick
Cannon in an interview too as well.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
I kind of feel like it's best if I don't
talk about him because he can just be in his
own world.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
At the end of the day, y'all, there is a
lot to talk about. No, we didn't get into some
things this episode, but y'all choose to be here with
me every single episode to do it. This is the
latest with the Rosa. I appreciate you guys every single
time you tune in. I will see you Lowriders in
my next episode. M
