the week. How you feeling?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Just? I feel good? You feel good? Absolutely? What you
do yesterday?
Speaker 4 (00:25):
Yo?
Speaker 1 (00:25):
So I did?
Speaker 5 (00:27):
Actually I worked on my book. I'm working on my
book right now. But I watched the show from Do
you ever do you watch?
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (00:33):
So, I love horror movies, but I also love horror series, right,
and the MGM plus has this show is called From and.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
It's so good.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
The first season was good, second season was all right, yo,
but the third season took so long because of the
writer strike, right, and then they finally came out with
season three, and it's pissing me off. Don't you hate
when the first two seasons be good of a show
and then it just starts like confusing you. Yes, I'm
not saying it's bad, but it's confusing me. But I'm
already hooked, so I gotta keep watching. But I get
more and more pissed off every episode.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Is it like that because you took so long to
see episode three because of the strike? Or is it
because it's they just the writing just got worse.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I just think it's like they don't know what they're
doing with it.
Speaker 6 (01:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
I feel like the writing got worse or maybe like somebody, maybe.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Everybody quits and it was like no direction.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
Yeah, so I'm like, oh, but I'm a hook so
I gotta keep watching. That's that's that's my That's what
made me mad yesterday.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Okay, well, I gotta wish your happy birthday to my
oldest Madison.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Drop a bomb for Madison every birthday girl.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Last night we were bringing in her twenty third birthday.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
We went to this spot. I gotta take you one time.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
It's called the Record Room, all right, And if you
ever get a chance to come to New York City
or in close to the area's a record room. And
the reason it makes it so dope is on Tuesdays
they do R and B music, but they can you
can only the DJ can only use records, So you're
not going to get a lot of the newer records
because of the newer songs don't come on records, so
it'd be the classics.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Yeah, so this is real DJ, and it'd be real DJ.
But it be a vibe.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
When you walk in, it feels like a living room,
like like it's just couches and sofas. It's not bottle
service where you got No, it's not like that at all.
And it's just it's just a great vibe. And uh,
we celebrated her last night. I love going out with
my daughter, but I hate going out with my daughter.
Speaker 7 (02:17):
Right.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
I love it because it's my it's my daughter, it's
my girl. Like we have a good.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Time and my wife and the family and friends they come.
But it also is I become security. I'm the one
that got to pay the bill. And then when you
got to when you got daughters or your wife, there's
no celebrity.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
It's no like somebody go get the car. You gotta
go get the car.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
In the car, you drop off in the front because
they got heels, and I gotta park down the block
and the walk to the walk to the club, I
gotta walk into the bathroom.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
It's just a lot. It is it's just a lot.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
But we had a good time last night. Yeah, we
had a great time last night the record room. So
if you have a New York can get a chance
to experience that. It was just it was just a
fun vibe. And then you know, you got you got.
You know, everybody's my age that you know helped raise it,
because I always say a villain helps raising So everybody's
there dancing, so you got the I call them the aunties,
got the old dance, and they're embarrassing her and they do.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
It, but they think they do it. They think they're
killing it, and they doing the genuine role.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
And She's looking like, okay, all stop, can you tell
them to stop that?
Speaker 1 (03:13):
And I'm dying.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
I don't know how to dance, so I started doing
stupid danceing the rerun and all types of rodbotis.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
She's like that back.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yeah, it was a good time. But let's get the
show cracking. Rosie for the dances joining us this morning.
Ros Yeah, she's gonna be doing a commentator for the
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fights.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
We're gonna talk to Rosie Perez. She's never been a
pare her.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Don't think and then she has a new series called
Before out right now, so we're gonna be talking to
Rosie Perez. Alright, we got front patients. When we come back,
Morgan will be joining us. We don't go anywhere. It's
the breakfast Club. Get your ass up morning. Everybody is
TJ N V Jess hilarious, Charlamage the guy.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
We are the breakfast Club. Let's get in some front
page news.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
Good morning, Yain, good morning, good morning. I was gonna say,
maybe he skipped out because we got that word that,
uh that the Cowboys quarterback is out for the rest
of the season.
Speaker 8 (04:03):
Is that why ch'allamine is not here today?
Speaker 1 (04:04):
No Cowboys are gonna win anyway, So it's just it
is what it is.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
We got that word about Dak being out for the
rest of the season though. Okay, good morning, y'all, Good morning,
v How y'all feeling.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Good?
Speaker 8 (04:15):
Good? Okay, So let's get into it.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
President Biden will host President elect Trump at the White
House today. The two are set to meet in the
Oval Office at eleven a m. Eastern. Trump's team said
he is looking forward to the meeting. The ritual did
not take place, however, at the twenty twenty election, when
Trump was claiming election fraud. Now White House Press Secretary
Karin Jean Pierre, she says the meeting is important to
(04:37):
President Biden. Let's hear more from the Press Secretary Karine
John Pierre.
Speaker 9 (04:42):
He believes in the norms, he believes in our institution.
Speaker 8 (04:45):
He believes in the peaceful transfer of power. The American
people made their decision on this election, and it.
Speaker 10 (04:51):
Is important to him.
Speaker 11 (04:52):
It is important, not just because it's important to him,
but it's important to the American people.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Yeah. As President electis Trump is expected to take office
as the nation's forty seventh president on January twenty twentieth,
after being the forty fifth president.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Go ahead, let me ask you, guys, after somebody slammed
you into media for.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Years, talk so disrespectful about.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
You and your age, and you have this and you
have that, could you just just meet with him or say,
here's some peaceful true you didn't even want to meet
with me last time.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Now, can you just meet with somebody?
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Or it is like, look, you don't f for me,
I don't f what you January twenty six is your date.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
You pull up. I'm a pull out.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
I literally would. I would not, I would not want
to meet with that person. But Biden probably forgot, are
you right? No, he probably don't even know right.
Speaker 6 (05:36):
I was gonna say, I do think that he believes
and he's it's been his stance all along. It's what
does he say? Basically the American people over the party.
So that's the case, then you know, hey, that's what
you got. Meanwhile, as we as if we didn't see
this coming, a federal judge is striking down a Biden
immigration program that kept undocumented spouses and American citizens from
(05:57):
being deported. The Biden administration started a policy at all
August that called keeping Families Together, which allowed hundreds of
thousands of undocumented spouses to work legally in the US
while they sought citizenship because of course they're married to
a US citizen. Now, on Thursday, at Trump appointed judge
in Texas he struck down that program and said Congress
(06:17):
had not given the executive branch the authority to implement
such a policy. Look, not only like they said, Holman said,
just support the whole family, even if you are a
US citizen. I guess so, you know, manager expectations. People
recently elected US senators are officially arriving on Capitol Hill
this week for orientation. Among them is Pennsylvania Republican Dave McCormick,
(06:39):
who said he's excited, while Democratic Senator elect Andy Kim
says his constituents in New Jersey want something done about
the high cost of living. Let's hear from newly elected
Senators Dave McCormick and Andy Kem.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
I'm excited to be here.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
I'm glad that i've been I've writed the orientation and
excited to get to work for praying about the change
that the people.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Of are great.
Speaker 12 (07:02):
Commas may have commanded and excited to get to work, but.
Speaker 13 (07:06):
I know that that was a big part of it,
just feeling like, you know, government right now is non tackling.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
Things in any meaningful way, you know, in terms of.
Speaker 14 (07:14):
Their day to day living.
Speaker 6 (07:16):
Yes, this is important to note because I believe NBC
News has still not yet called Pennsylvania for the Senate race,
and McCormick's opponent, Bob Casey, has yet to concede now.
McCormick was invited to attend the orientation by Democrat pradickt
Senate Leader Chuck Schumer, among others arriving yesterday. Democratic Senator
elect Andy Kim, of course from New Jersey. Senator elect
(07:37):
Jim Justice, a Republican from West Virginia. Meanwhile, Senate Republicans
are voting today to select their new leader. Kentucky Senator
Mitch McConnell is stepping down, and three contenders are vying
for the job. South Dakota's John Thune, Texas John Cornyn,
and Florida's Rick Scott are all looking to become the
party's leader in the upper chamber. Congress just returned to
(07:58):
Capitol Hill yesterday after a month long recess. Again, and
in case you missed it, the family completely unrelated to politics,
but the family of Tyree Nichols is continuing their legal
battle against the City of Memphis.
Speaker 8 (08:10):
Nichols's mother, Rwan Wells, is expected.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
To appear in court or appeared in court yesterday after
her son was beaten to death by several former city
police officers during the traffic stop back in January of
last year. Now, National civil rights Attorney's Ben Crump, who
is representing the family, says the focus of the five
hundred and fifty million dollar lawsuit against the city is
to get rid of so called police oppression units like
(08:35):
the one the now former officers were a part of.
Now the trial for the case is scheduled to begin
on January twenty seventh, exactly two years since Memphis leaders
released the video of Nichols beating. And we'll get into
what's going on in the transition, the official transition of
power at seven eight m with President Elect Trump. And
there's some other stories locally that we'll touch on in
(08:57):
New York and New Jersey. That's your front page news
for six sayam. Stick around at seven am for more.

Speaker 17 (10:13):
I'm wondering if Biden was the resign right now and
a point, Kamala Harris the president, wouldn't that make her
the first black woman president? Until I called him, don't
want the idiot takes office?
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yes, she would be the first black woman president. She'd
be the first woman president. Absolutely.
Speaker 17 (10:34):
So wouldn't that be We put that out there in
the atmosphere.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
I mean they've been putting it out there in the atmosphere,
but you know, I'll be honest, I don't think Kamala
would want that, you know, because she didn't win it,
and it's almost like a consolation prize. Would you would
you want a consolation prize like that that you for
the campaign you lost and now they saying we're gonna
give you this for sixty days.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
I wouldn't. Yes, considering run the country.
Speaker 17 (11:00):
I think this issue English and then all of that
merch that the orange idiot has on planed and all
of that would be a waist.

a man, She can't get no support. She ain't got
nobody else to go to.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
So why do you want? What does she do? So
disrespectful that you're kicking Tanya out of the house.
Speaker 14 (13:44):
Bro Yo, it's not just you know, it's just discomfort.
Speaker 7 (13:48):
Isn't that enough?
Speaker 1 (13:50):
You just want your house back to to yourself. Did
you give her a little bit of time?
Speaker 4 (13:54):
Yeah? But not.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
I love her and respect that she cool. And you

Speaker 8 (15:14):
But he is just Robermore.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Just don't do no lines, don't.
Speaker 23 (15:18):
Do no talk.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Nobody talk world Why Jeff worldwide mess on the Breakfast Club.
He's the coaching ship.
Speaker 18 (15:29):
She was able to get y'all to see something and
understand something that nobody.
Speaker 16 (15:34):
Could get you to see.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
The time to set it off.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
Okay, So ray J got on social media yesterday to
address Pastor Jamal Brown about the interview that they did together,
and this is what he said.
Speaker 24 (15:45):
Yeah, I got nothing but love for Pastor Briant. Shout
out to Jamal Bryant, shout out to bun Alvarez. But
if y'all play that interview, somebody gets snatched off the
poor pit. Don't play the interview.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
It's not clear. It's out of bounce.
Speaker 24 (16:00):
Me and Pastor Brian need to talk because the way
I was what treated was dirty and illegal, and I
don't like it, and I don't want.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Nobody to play that of you. I don't care if
you're from the church or not.
Speaker 24 (16:11):
Like like, be respectful and do people right, don't call
people out they name, and don't make people feel like
they're not safe in a place where they thought they
were safe. I'm telling you right now, we need to
work it out because if we don't, that's gonna be
a problem.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Jesus Christ.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Okay, So there's no contact on what happened or when
we're wrong or you know, when the interview comes out
or whatever, but passa. Jamal Brynt responded by posting a
picture of you know, him and ray J with a
long ass caption and of course I'm not gonna read that,
but basically he's saying he don't usually.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Edit his interviews or anything like that.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
He could have just put it out at you know,
no edit and just put it out. But for the
sake of brotherhood and you know, the respect that he
has for ray J, he did agree to edit it,
clean it up, and then to put it out. I
think Reggie wanted to see it because my thing thing
is if he said that he would edit it, you
know he's compromising, then why did you, you know, why
(17:05):
did you go to the internet.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
That's basically what REJ did.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
He still like put it on blast, and I think
he went from he went from saying edit it to
I don't even want it out right now.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
But I think he just wants to look at.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
It, you know, And I hate when anybody that does that,
especially artists, when you do interviews, and then after the interview,
you'd be like, damn, maybe I shouldn't have said that. Yeah,
maybe don't say that in the interview, because now you
want somebody to go back on the integrity and then
take something out, which can kill the flow of an interview.
And I love RAYJ, but we see that a lot
with a bunch of artists. They'll come and they'll do
(17:37):
an interview like, oh, can you take this out? Yeah,
and you know you don't want to because it's like, no,
that kills the interview. We're going to ask the question now,
you don't have to answer. I could ask you whatever
you want. You could just say, you know what, I'm
not answering that question right now. No, I don't feel
comfortable talking about that right now. No, you know what,
next time we'll talk about that, or my lawyers won't
allow me to talk about that.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
But it's something.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
But if it is something that's going to get ray
J in trouble, you know, yes, the pastor should take
it out because you don't want to see any other body.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
You don't want to see anybody get in trouble. You
don't want to see aybody go to.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Jail for a misword or something that might be perceived
the wrong way.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
So anything, but you just got to know how to
pivot correct. You have to know.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
And Ray has been in the business long enough to
know how to pivot. And then we've seen Reje interviews before,
We've seen how he is and how he gets. I
don't know how he was that day, so I can't
really speak to that. But he also shared another story,
I mean another video to his story.
Speaker 24 (18:26):
Just tried to shoot me and tried to kill me
and you want me to apologize you.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
That Right now, I'm about to say the pastor to
come up with a hammer out like what the hell?
Speaker 5 (18:37):
No, no, so we said he shared the video, this
video to the story, the last one that we just
played before Pastor Jamal Brian even responded to him. So
we don't know if one thing has to do with
the other. We don't know if this is to pass
to Brian or not. But this was this was like
the last thing that Ray said, So we don't know.
We don't know if he that's just him Ray Jing
(18:58):
or if that really really happened.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
I seen the rumors yesterday. I seen somebody say it
was the past of us. See somebody said it was
did these kids? I see so many things, but you
also got to understand one thing about ray J. Ray
J is entertainer, yes, and sometimes ray J will troll
you to get people on this page and then the
next thing you see is RAYC on TV.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
He has some shows dropping.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
His platform is a network going on, so you know,
but prayers up for j bray for him.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Social media sends love to Jazzmine Brown.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
So earlier this week, we released our interview with Doctor
Sei and Brian, and during the interview, Doctor Bryan spoke
on Cam Newton's relationship with Jasmine Brown.
Speaker 25 (19:34):
Who I would love to have a conversation with, whether
whether it's on camera and off with Jazz, I think
that she needs tools on how to be in this
relationship if she's gonna stay and if she chooses to leave,
she needs tools on how to also pivot that. And
it's not about having a conversation with her or having
a session with her to get her to change her mind.
It's about getting her to feel supported and showing compassion
(19:55):
and then trying to figure out what she wants to
navigate from here.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
And dealing with that whole. But what can you say
to her that'll change? I think how happy she is.
I think it's helping her come to herself. I think
that Jazz got herself into something that one she didn't
understand that she was getting herself into.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
And I think she would love to backpaddle if she could.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
I don't know you can just say that about somebody
like you think she got herself into something that she
didn't understand. I mean, I just I don't understand if
you never talk to Jazz in it, because some women
are okay and happy in their situations.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Every woman don't want one thing correct, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
But if y'all don't remember Cam Newton recently spoke about
cheating on Jazz.
Speaker 26 (20:35):
As long as I've been with Jazz, Jazz has not
been the only person that I've had sex with. Jazz
allows me to speak to her and we are able
to have banter. As long as I've been with Jazz,
I cannot honestly say that I've only been with Jazz,
And I think as we grow, and I hate that
I embarrassed her because no woman ever wants to admit
(20:56):
that openly that their person has not always been with
them only. I don't feel that she judges my action.
She holds me accountable to my action, and she asks
me certain things that, Yo, how can I do certain
things to better so that this won't be a normalcy
for you moving forward.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Yeah, So after our interview with doctor Bryant, people were
flooding Jasmin's comments. They were praying for you girls, sending
you love. It's okay. And the confusing thing is she
ain't ask for none of that. That girl was happy
with her newborn baby, and she's on tour. Jasmon got
a show on b ET Plus, and she's thriving in
her love. And I remember a recent well it's not
(21:38):
too recent, but someone's back. Jasmine had did an interview
with somebody and I don't know do we have audio
for that?
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Red?
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Okay, play that.
Speaker 8 (21:45):
What does a submissive woman do for her men?
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Everything?
Speaker 8 (21:49):
What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (21:50):
You know?
Speaker 9 (21:51):
Like packing his bag, unpacking his bag, just making sure
all the things that he wants. And I pretty much
read his mind, like before you can ever ask me
for something, I'm already on it.
Speaker 27 (22:01):
He's spoiled he's Ryan, but I love that like I
want him to be that. I think my biggest flex
is how I treat my man. And I've been known
to love people back to health and sometimes it's very draining,
but my love is my superpower. And I used to
hate that about myself, but now it's like I'm just
embracing it, like that's who I am.
Speaker 8 (22:19):
Like, if I love you, I can heal you.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
And if she can heal him, Doctor Brown, what you
gonna do? You know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (22:25):
Just when I already made it clear that she's unbothered
by everything that's going on. So still prayers up for everybody.
But I just feel like if somebody don't come to
just mind.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
To business, Yeah, I mean I agree with you, like
I respect and I love doctor Shane and Bryan, but
I don't think everybody needs therapy. Yeah, And I think
people figure out their own lives and situations. Meaning if
Jasmine is happy and cam Newton is happy and they're
comfortable with how their relationship is, then that's how they are.
Everybody's everybody's relationship is not the same. If he did cheat,
(22:55):
if he did step out and they dealt with it
in the house, and they're cool with it, and they're
patching it up and they're working on get into a
better place.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
That's what they're doing. Like you said, Jazz might be fine.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
This might be something that's old that they dealt with,
and they're talking about me and my wife. We talk
about what we've been through in our book, and that
was ten years ago, but we're able to talk about
it now because hopefully we can help somebody else that's
going through the same problems, the same situation. It don't
make you a sucker if you pack your man's bag.
It'll make you a suck if you cook for your wife.
Because when I do these trips, my daughter packs my bag.
(23:24):
When I get home, my wife unpacks my bag. On Sundays,
I cook for the whole family.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
I don't care. That's that's family. That's what love is. Yeah,
And then it's right.
Speaker 5 (23:32):
You said, that's what love is, and that's what Jasmine
and Cam's love is. So just leave them people alone,
that's right, And that's just with.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
The mess all right.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Now, when we come back, we got front page news
and that will be joining us.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
I don't know why I liked for you.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
To beat them. Dominican allegation. I don't know what she'd
be joining us in a little bit. It don't go anywhere.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
And also Charlemagne is out.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
So if you want to give somebody donkey of the day,
you could get on the phone lines right now. Eight
hundred five eight five, one oh five one, give whoever
you want donkey of the day.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
All right, it's the breakfastlu Good morning, the Breakfast Club.
Your mornings will never be the same morning.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Everybody is j NV, Jess hilarious, Charlamagne, gud We are
the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Let's get in some front page news.
Speaker 8 (24:14):
Goodman and Morgan, good morning, good morning, let's get into it.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
So a New York judge is delaying his presidential immunity
ruling in President elect Trump's hush money case.
Speaker 8 (24:23):
Now, court record show Judge Juan Merchant.
Speaker 6 (24:26):
Has agreed to freeze the case until next week while
prosecutors decide what to do now that Trump will be
the next commander in chief. Now, Merchants said he will
be deciding whether the case should be tossed after the
Supreme Court ruled Trump had some immunity. Now Trump was
set to be sentenced on November twenty six for his
felony conviction connected to payments made to adult film actress
Stormy Daniels. Now, keep in mind, Trump is also continuing
(24:50):
to build his administration select members for his cabinet.
Speaker 8 (24:53):
He says billionaire Elon.
Speaker 6 (24:55):
Musk and former presidential candidate Vivick Ramaswami will head the
new Department of Government Efficiency. Now, Trump claims the two
will pave the way for the administration to dismantle government
bureaucracy and restructural federal agencies. Remember he was saying that
he doesn't want the EVE Department of Education.
Speaker 8 (25:13):
He wants to dismantle them. So those type of federal agencies.
Speaker 6 (25:16):
Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla and the social
media platform Access, this will send shock waves through the
system and anyone involved in government waste. Trump says their
work will conclude no later than July fourth of twenty
twenty six, though they have a two year plan or
essentially a year and a half planted.
Speaker 14 (25:34):
Cheesh.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Now, so well, let wait, will wait.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
So he's putt in Elon Musk as a person to
cut I guess spending from the government.
Speaker 8 (25:42):
Essentially, yes, government efficiency.
Speaker 6 (25:44):
So however, the government is being run so for example,
talking about those restructuring certain federal agencies.
Speaker 8 (25:49):
So if Trump.
Speaker 6 (25:50):
Decides that Department of Justice is not viable for him,
he may restructure it, or he may try to.
Speaker 8 (25:56):
Eliminate it altogether.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
Jesus Christ and Lusk and Ramaswami are going to be
heading those efforts.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
That's crazy.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
Yes, So elected officials across New York are being tapped
to join President elect Donald Trump's administration. New York Governor
Democrat Cathy Hope was reacting to Trump after they as
a state New York congresswoman, a last Defanic, and former
Long Island Congressman Lee Zelden to join his cabinet. Now,
Hope says, New Yorkers are familiar with the parents you
(26:23):
Hope Seldon a long time excuse me, long time a
Long Island resident, will recognize climate change.
Speaker 8 (26:29):
Let's hear from New York Governor Kathy Hopel.
Speaker 28 (26:32):
Certainly they are not individuals I would have picked an administration,
but uh, you know, Donald Trump won the election. It's
his prerogative to select who he chooses. And you know,
certainly they're individuals that are well known to New York State.
Hopefully they'll look out for us in their positions and
you know, the EPA is a very important position to
(26:54):
the residents of all across the state, but particularly Long Island,
especially since Long Island had a one thousand year flooding
event not long ago. Hopefully these are all factors that
the new head of EPA will know what was happening
in his backyard and to try to help solve problems,
not create more.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (27:12):
So Stafanic will service the US ambassador to the UN,
while Seldon will head up the Environmental Protection Agency. So
at least we know that those federal agencies will be
within standing. Meanwhile, New York City Governor excuse me, New
York City Mayor Eric Adams. He's responding to President elect
Trump's mass deportation plan.
Speaker 18 (27:32):
Now.
Speaker 6 (27:32):
Adams says he doesn't support any plan for mass deportations,
calling the idea in humane. He went on to say
he is a supporter of a secure, secure border and
making sure anyone who is undocumented in the country has
a pathway to employment. Let's hear more from Mayor Eric Adams.
Speaker 20 (27:49):
All the conversations that we're hearing right now, I say,
let's tone down those conversations and come up with real
solutions to fix our immigration problem. We're going to do
everything possible to make sure that people are treated in
the dignity and humane way that we've done for these
last few years. When you come into this country, you
should be told here's where you're going for three years,
(28:10):
and here the services you're going to provide there during
that time, and after the three years, moving around the
country where you want to go.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
But now you're providing a service to the country. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (28:19):
So the comments, of course come after President elect.
Speaker 6 (28:21):
Trump named Tom Homan as the borders are in his
upcoming administration, and he said day one, they're going to
be working to have these mass deportations, especially in sanctuary cities.
Speaker 8 (28:32):
In New York Is that a sanctuary city?
Speaker 6 (28:34):
And when asked by a reporter about the election outcome,
Adams said he blamed it on a far left agenda
as to why Democrats lost the election, although he did
not elaborate. Now, remember Tony Hinchcliffe, the comedian who had
the garbage Island Puerto Rican joke. Yep, Well, he isn't
necessarily apologizing for his joke, but he does admit that
(28:54):
the venue may have not been the right place for
his humor. Now, the comedian called Puerto Rico a floating
out island of garbage at the October twenty seventh rally,
and in his latest Killed twenty podcast recorded recently. In
that episode, he said he apologizes to absolutely nobody and
said he was exercising his right to free speech.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
Sheesh, what do you think about that as a comedian though,
just like you know when yeah, when a comedian just
goes that left, he's like, I'm not apologizing, but it
just seemed like that was that was some of that
wasn't funny?
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Yeah, no, hell no.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
And then as a comedian, if you travel, you don't
ever expect to have a show in that place, like
you know, I mean, you limit yourself when you do
things like that. It's definitely not going to if we
can't go, it's no way. So no, I don't agree
with that. I don't Some things are just not funny.
You just can't touch certain things like that, and it's obvious.
Speaker 6 (29:43):
In other local news, out of Wayne, New Jersey, a
teacher's aid is facing child abuse charges after a nineteen
year old Megan Hornage allegedly slammed and dragged a two
year old at the apple Montassori School back on August twelfth,
a two year old sheesh Now. The CEO Apple Montessori Schools,
Andrea Vargas says we are aware and have been cooperating
(30:04):
with investigation since day one. She adds that we maintain
vigorous or excuse me, rigorous hiring standards and checks for
our employees, and the safety of the children in our
care continues to be a type top priority. Now Hornage,
if convicted, she faces the fourth degree abuse of a
child that carries a maximum sensus of eighteen years in prison. Now,
(30:29):
you were telling me off air that this story hits
close to home to you, Envy.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Yeah, Now, when I seen this story this morning, yeah,
it hit very close to home because you know, I
have six kids and Madison, Logan, London, Jackson, and Brooklyn
all went to that school, went to that Apple Montssori
and that you know, we always hear, we do hear
sometimes where a teacher will grab a student, or a
teacher will say something to the students that's not right.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
But you got to look at it like that, that's
a two year old. Yeah, my baby Paytent right now
is too about to be three.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
And if I looked on that cam because you know,
Apple Montessori has cameras where you can actually observe the
classes and things like that.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
But if I looked on that camera and.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
See that teacher's aid drag my two year old, slam
my two year old, how am I not as a dad?
Or how's my wife not as a mom? Not going
to be able to put hands on that person on
that teacher's aid, you know what I mean? So when
I see things like that, and Apple Montessori is expensive,
like it's not cheap, like it's expensive, So you know, yeah,
(31:26):
it's right. They got to do a better situation of
getting these teacher aids and teachers. Now I know that
the young girl was nineteen, maybe nineteen is not an
age where you should be dealing with two year old
three year olds because two year olds I was just
telling just behind the scenes. My two year old is
one of those two year olds. She's if I would
have had her first, she probably be the only child
I have, Like she's that COVID baby. But you know,
(31:48):
sometimes trying to deal with that at a young age
is not right. But how do you not, as a
parent want to put hands and feet on that person?
Speaker 15 (31:55):
You know?
Speaker 8 (31:55):
Yeah, And in this case.
Speaker 15 (31:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (31:58):
I'm a mom, so it seems completely justified to be,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Honestly, I'm not.
Speaker 6 (32:02):
The one to sit here and take the high road
on that one. I'm definitely gonna ride for mine persolutely.
And that's your front page news, Okay, all right, I'm
working with Follow me on social ad Morkan Media, and
for more news coverage of course, follow apt Black Information Network,
download the free iHeartRadio app, and visit us at bi
nnews dot com.
Speaker 8 (32:19):
Happy Hunk Day.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Right now, when we come back, Rosie Perez will be
joining us, all right. She's gonna be doing the play
by play commentary for the Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight
this weekend. And also she has a new series on
Apple TV Call Before. She's gonna be joining us Rose
when we come back. And also Charlemagne is out today.
So if you want to give somebody donkey of the
(32:41):
day eight hundred five eight five one oh five one,
you can give donkey to whoever you want. A right
phone lines are wide open. Eight hundred five eight five
one oh five one is the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
Good morning, the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
Warning, everybody is dj n V Jess Hilarious, Charlamage, the guy.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
We are the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
We got a special guest in the building, the icon
living Rosie Peaz.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Welcome.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
Thank you so much. I'm feeling great.
Speaker 13 (33:08):
You're showing me a birth certificate or some idea or something.
I refuse to believe you sixty years I refuse to
believe that you just turned sixteen in September. I refuse
to believe that, yes, I.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
Am sixty years old. And everyone keeps telling me I'm
sixty years old. But it's all good.
Speaker 13 (33:24):
They only bring it up your age because you don't
look it. No, like, oh, congratulations, you turned sixty.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
That's the only reason.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
Oh well, thank you.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
An iconic career? Do you stay booked and busy for years?
You've been? But how is that?
Speaker 17 (33:40):
You know what it is?
Speaker 4 (33:41):
It's like I love boxing and I believe in that
champion spirit, and anytime I got knocked down, I just
I just brush it off. I'm like, okay, let's go,
you know what I mean? Like my life was hard
as a child, not getting a role. It's not hard. Yeah,
that's just part of life, and it's it's fine. And
I also think it's because any other actors are listening.
(34:03):
Don't be afraid of audition, don't think you're above it. Yeah,
because that's because I was a choreographer and all the
dancers that didn't want to audition for me didn't get
the job. Like I had to see what you had. Yeah,
you know what I mean. It may be different. I
know your great idea, so but it may not fit
the video that that I'm working for right now. So
(34:23):
it's like that. And also beyond time, be professional, be courteous,
and be prepared. And so I think that that has
offered me longevity as well, you know, because people will say, Okay,
she works really really hard, go ahead and hire her.
Speaker 7 (34:39):
Yea.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
What was your big acting break?
Speaker 13 (34:41):
I know everybody alway talked about you want to live
in color, But what was the acting break, Like, what
was the role that caused everything to take off for you?
Speaker 4 (34:47):
What was my first role? It was doing the right thing, okay,
but what really really set it off, in my opinion,
was white Man Cancer.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Absolutely yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
And I fought hard for that one. I fought hard.
I was the only person of color in the casting
and it was all just a sea of white ladies,
and I was like, oh, dear God, and yeah, but
it's just like that. It's like, all right, another championship round,
let's go, let's go, And man, did I have to
walk myself down from the edge.
Speaker 26 (35:16):
It was.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
It was really tough. But yeah, I think that was
the one that really did it.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
How difficult was it back then?
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Because we all love your accent, but back then, you know,
when you're going into these rooms, they might be like, well,
who was this accent?
Speaker 1 (35:27):
You know, she sounds to New York? Was that ever
a problem?
Speaker 4 (35:30):
All the time? All the time, it was a problem.
And then I would bring up other actors. I was like,
you don't have a problem with this accent. She's French,
Why you don't have a problem with hu? But this
person is British. Why don't you have a problem her?
Is that your racism showing? I'm like, yeah, I said it,
you know, and that's who I just was, That's who
I am, you know. And I would challenge them on
(35:51):
it and everything, and sometimes it didn't work out, but
a lot of times it did. And when I first
went into the industry, backlash that I really got was
from the Latino unity are telling me shut up, sit down,
stop rocking. The boat, and I was like rocking the boat.
I was like, what are you talking about? All the
struggles that you had and have done for me? Let
(36:11):
me relish in it, you know what I mean? Like,
what are you talking about? Why aren't you celebrating the
fruits of your struggle. I don't want to be in
that boat.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
Yeah, oh my own boat.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
So that was really hurtful. That was something I had
to push through, and it was it was just difficult.
Like people don't understand how difficult it was for me.
But I just, like I said, I just kept focused
and just kept pushing through, just showing up.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
We know where you got to start from, right, because
you just weren't an actress, you were a dancer, a choreographer.
What was the start to say this is what I
wanted to do? What did you see that say, you
know what, I want to be in that business? Because
you could have did anything. You could have said, I
want to be an astronaut, I want to be a doctor,
I want to be an attorney.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
But you wanted to go into that. What got you
into that and who pushed you towards that? Especially back then?
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Well, actually I was in college to become a marine biologist.
So I was studying viol camp and then I meet
the talents out for soul training. Didn't take it seriously.
I just thought it was fun until my father made
me quit. God rest his Soul. And then when I
met little Silas Junior got rest his soul. He was
a and all guy at MCA Records, and he said
(37:13):
he came to soul training and he goes, why aren't
you dancing like that on the camera. I said, Don
Cornelisz doesn't like it. He goes, what's that? That's hip hop? Right? So, yeah,
that's hip hop. He says, I want you to teach
that to artist I have. He's going to leave this
boy band. I said, who is it? Because I'm not
going to tell you. Just show up. And I said, well,
I'm not a choreographer. He goes, I'll pay you sixteen
hundred a day. I said, I'll see you Monday, that's right.
(37:35):
And so when I got there, I didn't know I
was supposed to show him a routine. I made up
the whole thing on the spot, right, and it was
pretty bad when I made up and everything, and that
was Bobby Brown. So it was my first still I
went back to school. And it wasn't until Spike Lee
came into my life.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
But what video? Was it for Bobby Brown? So we
could go back and.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
Look, I did two videos was don't be cruel and
my prerogative. I'm the one that wired heart and soul
for him. Wow. And and then when every little step
I take, he didn't hire me, and I was heart broken.
But he hired heart and so and I was happy
for them, and I had to I told him. I
called him up. I was like, y'all killed it, man,
(38:15):
I hate to say it. And it became his most
iconic video.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Those guys had a Spike Lee, you said, you mess
Spike Lee. How did you meet Spike Lee?
Speaker 4 (38:23):
I met him in a nightclub and we got in
an argument and he said, this is fate. And I
thought he was trying to hit on me, and I
was like, you wish and he just kind of stopped
cracking up and he was like, no, no, no, I'm
not director film director. And I was like what it
was my girlfriend, my colleague, buddy Mary Wade. I went
to throw out the his business card and she went
in the garbage and took it out. She goes, are
(38:44):
you stupid? Just give him a call. And then he
asked me to audition for Do the Right Thing, and
I did it. And then after we filmed it, I
went back to school. I'm thinking whatever. And it wasn't
until I went to the premiere and I saw the
magic all come together and that was it. I remember
sitting I don't think I've ever said this to anybody.
I was sitting in the in the theater. Tears were
(39:04):
going down my line and one of my half sisters
thought it was because of the nudity, and it wasn't.
It was just like, my life has to change. This
is what I want to do.
Speaker 29 (39:15):
And that was it.
Speaker 13 (39:15):
That was a turning point, the most classic scene, one
of the most classic scenes in black cinema history. Though
there wasn't nothing to cry, had a lot of us
doing that ice cube move. I was doing the ice
cube move because and what.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Did your parents say when they when they seen that?
Speaker 3 (39:31):
And you were going college, you were going to be
a marine biologist, and now you were doing something that
at the time, I would say most parents, especially in
our community, did not understand in the black and brown
community like that.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
My father was very upset. He was very upset. He
was very upset with me on soul Train and that's
the reason why I stopped dancing. He was like, no,
I don't know who you are coming down that line.
Speaker 8 (39:52):
And I was like, oh my god.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
And I quit and everybody was like, why are you quitting?
I said, my father told me to quit, and being
in California, they didn't understand that. They didn't stay on
in the culture. And I was like, my father told
me to quit. I have to quit. How are you
I think I was nineteen twenty. And then when I
did do the right thing, I called up my God
and I said, I just want to tell you it's
an artistic film. He goes, okay, and I said okay,
(40:17):
and I thought he understood. And he had a viewing
party in Puerto Rico and invited the whole entire town Jesus,
and he said that he went into cardiac and died.
Oh he he was like, grab this. They were telling me.
I was like, oh my gosh. And I called him
up and I was crying. I was like, I'm so sorry.
(40:38):
He goes, next time, next time, you tell me, and
he says, but you're a grown woman now and I
can't tell you what to do and I'll support you,
but please don't humiliate me again.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
We got more with Rosie Perez when we come back,
don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
Good morning, warning everybody, it's the DJ Envy Jess, Hilarious,
Charlamagne the Guy.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
We are the Breakfast Club kicking it with Rosie Perez.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
She's gonna be doing the play by play commentary for
the Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight this weekend.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
Jess, what was most enjoyable for you? Dancing or acting? Like,
which one is more easier and more enjoyable. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (41:15):
That's a good question. The dancing. The dancing, that's a
true love for me. Yeah, I've always been dancing. But
the acting. You know, when you get that one lover
and you can't get it out of your mind, you
can't get him out of your mind, and like he
just puts it on you and you're like.
Speaker 5 (41:29):
Yeah, yes, ma'am, I just had a baby, so I
know all about that, Yes, all about that. Yeah, that's
what acting is.
Speaker 15 (41:37):
OK.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
I was gonna ask you know, you choreographed so many
different videos from Jenny Jackson, Bobby Brown, j Diana Ross.
Speaker 4 (41:43):
What was your favorite and why my favorite client was
Heavy D and the Boys because I loved Harry. I
loved him and I had a lot of fun. My
best client was OKOOLJ because Todd was the most professional
person I had ever worked with. That's why he's still
in the game now. Like he just I mean, at
such a young age, he just had his stuff locked
(42:06):
down and he was like, this is how we are
gonna go. But I would say my favorite was Diana Ross.
She didn't show up to any of the rehearsals. I
was pissed. I was like, I'm gonna quit, and it
was like, don't quit, don't quit. And then I was like,
when she shows up, I'm gonna tell her something. And
her daughters, Tracy and Chutney came to see me. They're like,
(42:26):
oh my god, mom's darting to see you. And I
was like, yeah, okay, I'm dying to see hotel. And
so they opened up the trail. Her door to Tresh
was high Go.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
And I was like, oh my god, the boss, the boss.
Speaker 8 (42:41):
And she said come on in.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
I said really, and I just turned to mush and
then she gets up there, no rehearsal. She says, let
me see that hippie hop I fell out lamping and
I showed her a few steps.
Speaker 8 (42:52):
Got it like that, really got it like that?
Speaker 16 (42:55):
And she was just game.
Speaker 4 (42:57):
She was like wow, And I just I just love professionals,
you know, I just really love people who come with
the a game. I just love that.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
You know, how difficult was it being a woman, you know,
in the industry coming up back then? You know, we
hear about so many different stories of men trying to
take advances and so many different things.
Speaker 1 (43:14):
Was that is difficult for you as well?
Speaker 4 (43:16):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (43:17):
What was what was the hardest point? Was one thing
that you remember? You would like I just remember this
moment to this day, and I wish that on no
other woman.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
It was a person, and everyone wants me to say
his name, but I'm like, his life is now, so
it's okay. He got his come up and sp went
to an audition and people are like, well, why did
you go to so and Soul's hotel room. That's what
they used to do. Like even for Fearless, I met
the casting director and the director Peter Weir in a
hotel room, and you auditioned for them. And so this
(43:44):
one individual wanted me to meet with him, and my
first thing was like, why is it so late at night?
I don't feel comfortable. Oh no, no, no, don't worry
about it. Don't worry about it. When I went there,
he starts rubbing my shoulders and I said, we are
you rubbing my shoulders? He said, you're oh so tight
you need a relax and I said, okay, but you
don't have to rub my shoulders please, and he goes,
(44:05):
you know what, your career is not going to go far.
And I said, why is that. He goes, you don't
even want me to give you a massage. I said,
I thought this was an audition. I don't need a massage,
and he goes, We're done.
Speaker 15 (44:16):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (44:17):
You know, like somebody else, a different young woman who
is not as strong, would have probably caved. You know,
people like tried to blame that type of woman. That's
not the woman's fault, it's that asshole's form. But it
has happened to me, you know, especially in the music industry.
Music industry was really tough. The misogyny was enormous and
(44:38):
I had to fight against it all the time, all
the time. And God forbid, if you actually like somebody
in the music industry and you wanted to go out
with them, then you would labeled the whore like these Meanwhile,
all the men are screwing everything that walks, and so
it was really hard. It was very very difficult, you know,
but I developed a reputation and it was to my benefit.
Speaker 18 (45:01):
You know.
Speaker 4 (45:01):
They're like, oh my gosh, she's such like yes, yeah,
so don't try it good, you know, but it was
it was hard. It was very difficult.
Speaker 5 (45:08):
Was there ever a role that that you went out
for that you didn't get that you really wanted? Yeah, okay,
a lot, yeah, a lot of them.
Speaker 4 (45:15):
When was the Matrix, I had the worst audition of
my life. They laughed me out of the rule you
want to tell you because it was such a humiliation.
It was terrible. It was terrible. I swear to god,
I don't even want to sorry.
Speaker 1 (45:32):
But it's funny because the Cassie directed.
Speaker 4 (45:34):
I was like, I know, I didn't get she goes,
you know, she's walking me out of the room and
the two brothers they're looking at me.
Speaker 8 (45:43):
That was great.
Speaker 4 (45:43):
I said, no one stopply and then they start laughing
and then I was like, anyway, by and she's still
laughing and when I closed the door, I hear.
Speaker 18 (45:58):
It was.
Speaker 4 (45:58):
It was terrible. It was, it was terrible. That's when
I went over to my best friend Pire at Julie's house. Yeah,
eleven thirty in the morning, would a join in a
glass of wine?
Speaker 6 (46:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (46:12):
That was one. Another one was I forgot the name
of the movie, but Drew Barrymore got it. I wanted
it so badly, but I didn't audition for that one.
They were going to meet with me, but then they said, oh,
we've already made a decision, and I said, oh man,
but I couldn't hate on her because she was so
good in it too, you know. So yeah, so there
(46:33):
was a couple.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
Yeah, talk to us about before the new Apple TV series.
What is that about? Oh?
Speaker 4 (46:39):
That is really it's a psychological thriller. It's really kind
of creepy. The kid in it is really fantastic. Billy
Crystal is amazing in it. Home cast is Judith Light,
Hope Davis all the way down. Robert Townsend, Oh wow, Yeah,
he's great in it. But it's about a man who
recently experienced the death of his wife and he's in
denial of it, and he he's not grieving properly, and
(47:02):
then he meets this boy. This boy just shows up
out his house and he doesn't understand why this boy
is gravitating to him. And I play the boy's forster mother,
and and he's very he's a very troubled young kid.
And so what the real theme is about the show
is about is that if you don't get past your past,
(47:22):
it will come back and haunt you. And so in
this TV series, it really is haunting the things that
he won't deal with. And it's also about past lives,
like sometimes if you don't deal with your trauma, you'll
come back to this earth, maybe as another person or
another being, but that trauma will come and double itself
until you deal with it. So that's not really what
(47:43):
the series is about.
Speaker 1 (47:44):
Was this role of challenge at all? This row was
a big, very different.
Speaker 4 (47:47):
From yeah it is, and it was it was I
didn't want it at first, and Billy was like, oh no,
I got you, don't worry about it, and he was
very supportive. But I gained twenty over twenty pounds during shing.
You know, every time it just got too difficult, I
would go over to craft service and gone, you know
(48:08):
and warn Troup was like this press. They had to
take my costumes out a couple of times. A couple
of times they had to like throw away costumes like
I thought I was wearing that. You don't fit in
that anymore?
Speaker 1 (48:21):
Oh god, you know.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
So it was it was hard. And my husband went
through it, you know, come home and just just wouldn't
want to talk and just want to go to bed
and put the covers over my head and stuff like that.
So it's hard.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
All we got more with Rosie Perez when we come back,
so so don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club. Good
morning morning everybody. It's DJ Envy.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne the Guy. We are to Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with Rosie Perez. He's gonna be
doing a play by play commentary this weekend for the
Mike Tyson, Jake Paul Fight.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Now.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Since you here, I gotta ask you a hip hop question.
You and Tupac were close, Yes, we were very close.
How did you How did you pop.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Come so close? And how did y'all meet?
Speaker 4 (48:58):
We met on tour. I was with Heavy D and
the Boys and Digital Underground. They were opening. I also
doubled as a roadie, meaning I would have to carry
their bags. And we're getting off the Taumac and here
comes this guy and he's carrying their bags and he
said what's up. I said, hey, how you doing? What's up?
And like I had my guard up because you know,
(49:19):
misogyny and everything. He goes un Pac and I said,
what's your name? He goes Pac like Tupac and I
went Tupac. He goes Shakhor. I said, like the.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
Black Panthers, he goes Yo me.
Speaker 4 (49:29):
And you're gonna be friends. That I knew that. I
was like, oh, and I said, will you carry this bag?
He said sure, and he carried the bag and we
and that was it. That was the beginning of a friendship.
And then I see him go up on stage and
he's there dancing doing the Humpty dun, you know, And
I was like, this guy's a star. And I remember
(49:51):
telling Heavy that governas, I said, he's a star, he's
a star. Why don't they lay him out front.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
And lo and behold, wow, now is it true that
you played wingman with with him? And Madonna?
Speaker 1 (50:01):
Was that true?
Speaker 4 (50:04):
And I was dating a wrap up and I promised
that rapper would never say his name to and we
were supposed to go to so trim music. What's in
At the last minute, literally half hour before we're getting calm, I'm.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Like, yo, where are you late?
Speaker 4 (50:20):
I can't go? Why can't you go? Because my girlfriend
will see me on the on the TV screen with
you what girlfriend? And I lost it and then hopping
to call and he goes, what's wrong? And I told
him I was like hysteric on the phone. He's like, yo,
f that N word. Yo, I'm going with you. I
said what he said, that's right, he said, fiction, makeup.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
We're going.
Speaker 4 (50:41):
We're gonna roll up in there like we a couple,
and it's gonna kill him. I was like, what are
you talking about.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
He's like, yo, I'm telling you get it together.
Speaker 4 (50:49):
I'm on my way. We get into the limousine and
at that time, nobody knew I smoked weight. There was
only a few people that, you know, because there was
such a stigma back then and everything. And we get
there and he goes and I'm I'm about to cry. Oh,
and we roll out.
Speaker 15 (51:09):
You know.
Speaker 4 (51:10):
When the limousine opened, the door opened, it was like
teaching char movie and he grabbed my hand and I
looked at him and and he goes, God, they said,
we're gonna be fronting right now. I said, okay. There
were so many women in the music industry that wanted
to beat my ad. They were coming up to him like, oh,
(51:31):
that's you, now, that's that's you, and I'm like, you know,
and I was like and I was getting mad at him.
I was like, yo, man, who else, what are the
girls gonna come up here? And and then he is
cracking up. And then this one girl, she was a
rapper too, she came up and she tried to get
in my face and I looked that part and I said,
(51:51):
you better tell her to step off. You better tell
her that I'm not the one. You better tell her
that I will beat And he was like, that's my girl.
And I'm like, it's not funny, you know what. I
really thought I was gonna get it. So I was like,
I don't want to be around you right now. And
so then I go to the bathroom and Madonna was
(52:13):
there and she's like you with him. I was like, no, no,
this was all this is all fake, this is all phony.
She goes, oh, could you hooked me up? I went, yeah,
get away from him. And I went over there and
I told him. He's like, Yo, what's up. And I
was like, she's over there. And he left me. He
left me and and he when he went with her,
(52:35):
And even like after the show was over, I was like,
where is he? He was gone. He was gone. I
saw him at the after party.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (52:42):
Yeah, yeah, So they had a good time.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
Before we get to the first Lady of Box and
I got to ask, there's always been rumors that you
and Jal had beef.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
Is that any true for that?
Speaker 15 (52:50):
No?
Speaker 4 (52:50):
You know, all I want to say about that is
I'm a grown ass woman and I wish her well.
I really do. There's no room for that. We're all
we're grown you know.
Speaker 3 (53:00):
Now let's talk about the first Lydia Boxing. You were
going to be hosting and being a commentator for the
Jake Paul Tyson fight.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
Yes, how did that come about?
Speaker 4 (53:09):
Oh my gosh, I got a call. I couldn't believe it.
It was Netflix MVP and the executive producers of the event.
They're the ones that came up with the idea. And
I was in shock. And at first I was just
supposed to be a co host with Kate Abdu Scott now.
And then they came back and they said, you know what,
we changed our mind. We want you to do color commentary.
(53:31):
And I went, no, no, no, no, no, you should
leave that to the professionals. And they said, we just
want the voice that you have on Twitter, the voice
that you have when you are hanging out with boxing people.
That's what we want from you. So we did a
test run and we watched the fight with the sound
off as if we were going to do it. And
I was so nervous at first, and then as it
(53:53):
was going on and on, I'm getting so into it
and I'm.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
Cracking jokes and I'm like, Joe, did you see that shot?
Oh my god, with the left just down.
Speaker 4 (54:03):
And so when it was over, I thought, they're not
going to hire me for this, and my manager Tark,
was like, we'll hear from them probably on Monday, and
he went, he went, they just hired you for it.
Speaker 1 (54:15):
I was like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (54:16):
So the pressure is on.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
So who's your favorite in the fight? Who do you
want to win?
Speaker 7 (54:20):
Can you say?
Speaker 1 (54:20):
Or now that you're a commentation.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
Because you you know, because of course you came you
come from the age of Mike Tyson, Right, so I
would just have to say, you leaning, you're not gonna
say it, but you've seen the Tyson fights. You've seen
them knock people out in the streets. So it's almost
like you want to see Mike just one good time.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
Yeah, yeah, well you know, let me try, let me
try and get something.
Speaker 6 (54:51):
All right.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
You gotta tell us who you want to win or
the rapper that you dated, Yeah, why you had a
third one. I'm not saying it. I try to step up.
Speaker 4 (55:07):
You know, I could give my opinions on the fight
as opposed to who I want to win. So with
Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, I think it could go
either way, honestly. Honestly because Jake has his youth, so
there's that stana, a stamina that he has an advantage of.
(55:27):
He's been more active. That's a big asset in boxing.
You have to stay active. But the latest videos from
Mike Tyson on social media, You're like, what that is
not the Mike Tyson who even went up against what
was it four or five years ago against Roy Jones
Junior in an exhibition fight. Right, So this is a
two eight fight, two minute eight round fight. And if
(55:50):
he's looking that good, I think Jake Paul should take
it very seriously. And in the fighters meeting, he said
he is taking it seriously. He's not. He believes he
could win. He has that champion belief. But Tyson interviewing him,
it was eerie. It was eerie because he was not
messing around. He was all business because I know Mike.
(56:11):
Mike is goofy and he's funny, and he's emotional and
this he had boom in fight mode zone I'm not
playing And I said, wow. Everybody on the Fighter's meeting,
we were all like and even the guy the executives,
anybody else has another question for.
Speaker 7 (56:30):
Good, you know.
Speaker 4 (56:31):
So that's why I'm saying, Wow, Okay, this is going
to be a really good one.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
Absolutely, well, we appreciate you for joining us today, some
ladies and gentlemen. She's gonna be commentating to fight this
Friday on Netflix. Now you don't have to pay Netflix.
As long as you have a Netflix membership, you can
watch it right yes, And.
Speaker 4 (56:48):
Also the prelimbs are gonna be on YouTube, on MVP's
YouTube for free and on Netflix YouTube channel. I didn't
even know they had a YouTube channel. It's called you know,
because of the sound clicks to them, and you can
wash the prelims there, and please wash the prelims, especially
(57:08):
if you're a boxing fan, because Shoeshoe Bruce Shoeshoe Carrington
is going to be the opening fout.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
All right, well, we appreciate you for joining us this morning,
ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 3 (57:17):
It's Rosie Perez. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, morning everybody.
Speaker 1 (57:20):
It's t J n V.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne the God. We are the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Good morning. Let's get to Jess with the mess. News
is real, black lies, justic Robin Moore, just don't do
the lines.
Speaker 15 (57:30):
Don't do.
Speaker 14 (57:36):
Ro whi Jess worldwide.
Speaker 1 (57:40):
On the Breakfast Club, the Coaching Ship.
Speaker 18 (57:42):
She was able to get y'all to see something and
understand something that.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Nobody could get you to see this time to set
it it off. Okay.
Speaker 5 (57:50):
So Skott Jackson confirms her pregnancy with People magazine.
Speaker 1 (57:54):
Shout out to Scott Jackson. Congratulations, baby girl.
Speaker 5 (57:56):
She said, I'm thrilled to begin this new chapter in
my life and bracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
My heart is so full.
Speaker 5 (58:04):
So the confirmation came after pictures of Scott with the
baby bump started circulating. Also, back when she got arrested
for arguing with her boyfriend in public, she told the
police that she was pregnant, but people thought that she
was just saying that to get out of the get
out of going to jail because she had put her
hands on our boyfriend and she told them that she
was pregnant and engaged. Shortly after her pregnancy was confirmed,
(58:28):
a post on her boyfriend social media came up and
it said on why I'm salty, I got this dumb
ass Disney Chanel bitch pregnant. I hate this whole damn Yeah.
And now notice that it says Disney Chanell bitch. He
didn't spell channel right, Oh, this was Disney Chisney channel bitch.
Speaker 1 (58:49):
That's what I said. Had a Disney bag that was
that I missed.
Speaker 10 (58:53):
No.
Speaker 1 (58:53):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (58:54):
So shortly after that the post was deleted, though, and
Sky and her mother went to social social media and
said that his page was hacked. He never said this,
end of story, and her mother said he never said this.
Stop being messy, okay.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
But people were speculating in the comments like who the
hell is he for somebody to hack his social media
and say this. Now we know that they have like
a history of like quarrels and confusion. Seems toxic because yeah,
it definitely seems toxic.
Speaker 5 (59:22):
And she's so little, but she got the little hands
or whatever because she had put her hands on them
once's back or whatever. But her mom and her they
they said that it was his account was hacked. He
hasn't said anything. And the page, I'm not sure if
the page is back up or not yet, but that's
that post is down.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
Yeah, that's a perfect excuse when something goes out when
you don't, when you don't when you want to take
it back.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
I'm so sick of everybody just said it was hacked.
It was hacked. Yeah, now they only put that one
thing on there, but it was it was hacked. It
if I'm a hack somebody, I'm doing all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
Well that's the thing. If if you're gonna say your
pages hacked, you gotta keep going. You gotta write like
thirty things like you know, you gotta you gotta go
like the extra I was alien before, Like you got
to go so far and be like oh yeah, all right,
you just can't put one.
Speaker 5 (01:00:04):
Thing yeah, and then it can't only be hacked for
like ten seconds and then now you got it back.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
You know how long it.
Speaker 5 (01:00:09):
Takes you to get you you got to go through
all of these policies with these social especially on socials
like TikTok and Instagram, they make it hard for you
to get your stuff back because you have to prove
to them who you are to get back into your
your account.
Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
So you know, if you got to go through the
whole hack, then you got to go at least five
days of big hacky going crazy for five days, like
I got my page back.
Speaker 5 (01:00:30):
Well, holy blink one time, brother, if you are hostage, Jesus, Jesus,
move it on.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
Footage of P and.
Speaker 5 (01:00:38):
B Rocks murder surfaces, so the video of his murder.
It was released yesterday. The video shows that the murder
was a set up by someone inside the restaurant, and
Anagarcia from True Crime News recap the footage on CBS Philadelphia.
Speaker 11 (01:00:52):
Let's talk about the girlfriend because at first, wasn't there
kind of like an implication that maybe she was involved
in some way on this The inmvolcation was she had
posted a picture from Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles where this happened,
to the location. She's saying, where we are, where we are,
and she posts a picture of the food, the chicken
and the waffles, not of them, not that she's with him,
(01:01:13):
and then the shooting happens. But what we didn't know
then that we know now is that that photo had
nothing to do with the murder of pmb Rock. The
setup had started the minute he walked into the restaurant.
He's wearing half a million dollars in jewelry. There's someone there,
spots him, does a fist bump. We see this on
the video. He contacts someone else, a father and son team,
(01:01:34):
and the food was delayed by almost forty minutes. But
it was just slow that day in the restaurant. The
girlfriend blamed herself for this murder, that it was all
her fault.
Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
It wasn't her fault. That's very sad. And you know
the fact that and I hate, I hate sometimes we
do to each other. Man. The brother came in to
get some food.
Speaker 3 (01:01:54):
You seen him, You see the jewelry on, and then
jealousy and envy took over, right, you wanted that, so
you call, you know the pops and then the pops
brings his son to rob him.
Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
And they said the meal took forty minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
We all been to Roscos chicken waffles, and there's nowhere
in hell chicken and waffles.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Take forty minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
And if I make it at home from scratch and
I got to chase the chicken in the backyard, it
don't take no damn forty minutes. So that that was
a full setup and everybody involved should be charged with
that because that man lost his life. And a clip
that you didn't play is they said that when the
boy came in to rob him, it was like he
damned this shot before P and B even was gonna
(01:02:30):
take the jewelry off or not. It was like it
was second So P and B didn' even have a
second to take his chain off. He didn't have a
second to react. He came in there shooting and he
lost his life over a piece of jewelry.
Speaker 1 (01:02:42):
And it is said, and I do.
Speaker 5 (01:02:45):
Give my prayers to his girlfriend, you know, his girlfriend,
because everybody was blaming her, you know, it was even
celebrities that was coming out, you know, blaming her, and
that even that could have played on her mental where
she felt suicidal. She could have took her own life, right,
you know, because she and she started blaming herself, like
Ana Garcia said, so.
Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
That's her name.
Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
Yet, like Ana Garcia said, so, I'm glad that this
did come out and that we do know. Yeah, we
gotta we gotta look at at life differently. And a
lot of times people look from a jealousy or envious eye,
and we have to look for an inspirational eye. And
the reason I say that is Pim b Rock came
from some of the worst areas in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, right,
and he made it out rapping and he he gave
(01:03:29):
so many people jobs and opportunities, hype man, producers, engineers,
managers and all that. And he was living his best
life and he tried to do something against the grain.
Speaker 18 (01:03:38):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:03:38):
You look at Philly, you look at Baltimore, you look
at Brooklyn, you look at Queens, you look at Ohio,
you look at Houston. There's so many hoods out there
that there are a lot of people that's not doing well,
selling drugs, doing stuff that's illegal.
Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
And he made it out the correct way.
Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
And he was going to get some food with his
with his girl and his life was taken over a
piece of jewelry that he worked hard for and that
he shouldn't have to worry about that.
Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
And I say that all the time. He shouldnt. People say, well,
he shouldn't have been there, he shouldn't have did this. No,
they shouldn't. He should be able to go where he
wants to go. That's what he should be able to do.
Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
He shouldn't have to worry about, especially somebody looking like
him feeling jealous and say I want that, Like, that's
fp you took his life so for a piece of
jewelry that you don't even have now because now you're
spending the rest of your life in prison.
Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
Yeah, that's horrible.
Speaker 5 (01:04:18):
Man shooter definitely got what he deserve. And that is
just what the masking. I'm gonna push this story to
the third This is funny. We're gonna have a funny
hour next time.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
People ain't gonna have the same heart as you. But
that can't change you.
Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
You still gotta be out there. You still gotta be
out there helping people. You gotta do what's right, because
at the end of the day, is who you are
as a person.
Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
You can't expect people to have the.
Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
Same heart, the same morals, the same anything as you are,
the same stanzas. But you still gotta keep being yourself.
And it's crazy that I'm saying that because I'm the

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
That's there you go. Therunk is out there is out there,
all right, brother, back to the money now, but all
that dunk right?
Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
All right, Well, let's hope up the phone lines. That's
clear the lines eight hundred five eight five one on
five won player on the lines, playering the lines, playing
the lines. Now, you wanted to talk about something April
Jones had said right her, rent, Yes, she was.
Speaker 5 (01:09:11):
She went on Live I think it was yesterday or asday,
and she was saying like how this guy wanted to
see her, and she wanted to see the guy, the
guys in New York. She's not so he wanted her
to pay for her own flight something like that. But
she got so upset with that she did. Obviously, she
didn't go. She didn't never make it to New York
to see the guy, but she wanted him to pay
for her flight. And her is her and her friend
(01:09:33):
or her and whoever she was with, and they was
like just going in on guys and how you know
working mothers that they didn't guys want the working mothers
and the women to pay for everything.
Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
And I agree with a lot of what she said.
Whoa whoa, whoa whoa whoa No no, no, no no.
Speaker 5 (01:09:51):
I agree with what she was saying about how guys
are way different than they used to be.
Speaker 7 (01:09:55):
I do.
Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
I do agree with that. I don't agree with how
she was really he really.
Speaker 5 (01:10:00):
Upseted this guy because he wanted her to pay for
her because she had to pay for her own flight, okay,
to get to New York. He could have had, you know,
he got you when you get or he might might
have flew you back.
Speaker 3 (01:10:09):
All right, all right, well let's let's open up the
phone lines eight hundred and five eight five one on
five one not whoa woa. I just want to say,
this is the reason I said woo woa, whoa whoa
whoa is because now with everything going on in this world,
is this thing called sex traffic case and no longer
or and I could be wrong, are you allowed to
fly in a woman for sexy?
Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
So damn if you want sex with me?
Speaker 3 (01:10:34):
You gotta fly yourself, and then we could y'all take
care and then I can fly you out, and I could.
Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
Fly you out, but I'm not flying you in. And
then you say, you know you sex traffic. Nah, next
thing I said, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:10:45):
I didn't read the whole didd cations, but I seen
something in the did kas where he said he flew
somebody's state to state.
Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Uh huh. Now nobody flies state to state. You got
to get here on your own, dang. So so this
this diddy stuff is scaring people. This is ain't not
mad at that man.
Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
That man probably said, no, you want this d you
gotta fly in for the deed, but I'll fly you
back home.
Speaker 5 (01:11:02):
My thing is, what does that say about your pockets
than what you do? And I'm like, you can't even
buy yourself a flight match?
Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
What are you doing?
Speaker 15 (01:11:09):
Like?
Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
I can get to a city. So this is the thing.
Speaker 5 (01:11:12):
If a god tells me, look, you just gotta get here,
and I and I fly there, you cover everything else
and all of that all right?
Speaker 1 (01:11:18):
Cool? I still even fly myself home.
Speaker 5 (01:11:21):
Hold on, if I want to see you as bad
as you want to see me, why can't I contribute
to my own.
Speaker 1 (01:11:25):
My own flight. Hold on myself, let me turn around?
Speaker 8 (01:11:28):
What yo?
Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Now, I'm a girl, right, okay, now I'm a girl. Okay,
Oh you don't think I'm worth that flight. This nani
that I'm about to.
Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
Give you ain't worth three four hundred dollars to put
me on a Spirit flight?
Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
All right now, I'm my head, my nails, this my my, my,
my JJ ain't worth put me on a flight.
Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
I'm the guy.
Speaker 5 (01:11:44):
I'm the guy, sweetie. I get but JAJ anyway I can.
I can get the JAJ with somebody that's already in
New York.
Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
This is rejuvenated for JJ. This is some new JJ
you ain't never have and you don't know whateverse some
i'mna do. I'm gonna do that little thing that you like.
You want me to turn you around. I'm gonna do
that little thing that you like. You ain't gonna fly
me in yo. Now, I don't want to be the
guy no more.
Speaker 1 (01:12:06):
I want to be the guy.
Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
Eight hundred five A five one oh five on what's
your thoughts? Let's discuss is the breakfast club? Good morning,
it's the breakfast club.
Speaker 13 (01:12:23):
It's topic time called eight hundred five five one five
one to join into the discussion with the Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
Club Morning Everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:12:32):
It's tej n V, Jess, Hilaris, Charlamagne, the God we
are the Breakfast Club. Charlotte is out now if you're
just joining us, we're talking about something that April Jones
said on uh I guess she ran to yesterday on Instagram,
you know April Jones and Marion's baby Mom. She was
on Love and Hip Hop. So what does she say now?
Speaker 5 (01:12:49):
So she was basically upset because it was a guy
that she is talking to and he lives in New
York and she does not, and he wanted her to
come see him, and she wanted to come. Se that
she wanted him to pay for her flight and he didn't,
and so she had made that a whole thing, went
online and ranted about it. How men are different these
days and they expect so much of us without giving anything,
(01:13:12):
And basically, yeah, that's it.
Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
So let's listen what is happening with the men in
the world.
Speaker 29 (01:13:19):
They want to be catered to. They give you bare minimum,
They don't want to spend money. Men will come with
the bill, will come to the table, and the men
don't grab the bill. Women are grabbing the bill first,
and we are paying.
Speaker 16 (01:13:34):
For the bill. Some mandy said, how about he come
to you?
Speaker 30 (01:13:38):
But that wouldn't even That's fine, come to me, but
don't ask, don't yeah, don't say you're not gonna fly me,
but come to New York.
Speaker 10 (01:13:44):
Okay, you're gonna send for me? Because he could have
easily just been like, I want to see you, I
will come to you.
Speaker 16 (01:13:52):
What is happening with the men?
Speaker 1 (01:13:54):
What are your thoughts on it?
Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
I feel like it's like some things. I agree with
what she was saying. Guys definitely and the reason why.
So every guy is not like that, but a lot
of guys are different. Man is the climate of men
have changed these days? You know, we do a lot
more than guys do now. But I feel I've always
had a problem with a woman who feel like everything
(01:14:17):
should be paid for, especially like when you just start
talking to a person like you don't feel like you
gotta pay for nothing, like the guys in a whole
nother city. Cool, if you want to see him as
bad as he want to see you, what's wrong with
you covering your flight and when you get there, he
take care of everything else. He might send you back.
What if that was What if he just wanted to
see if you would pay for something one time? Now
(01:14:37):
he paying for stuff for the rest of the duration
of whatever y'all got going on.
Speaker 3 (01:14:42):
You're right and see if I was Thank god am married,
because if I was dating right now and I've seen
somebody from out of town, I would.
Speaker 1 (01:14:48):
Be scared to fly to man. I would be scared
to fly him in.
Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
Then you have some relationships and later on they say, well,
that was sex trafficking, right, because that's what people have
been saying. The definition has been the last couple of
months that was scared of is shadow me.
Speaker 1 (01:15:00):
So I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Yeah, I got money, I'm good, But fly me and
let me know you want to see me as much
as I want to see Then when you get here,
I got you, I got the hotel, I got dinner.
You want to get your hair done, your nails done,
you want to have a great time while you're in town.
Speaker 1 (01:15:13):
I'll take care of that. But show me you wanted
to see me as much as I want to see you. Period.
Let's go to the phone lines. Hello, who's this from
von from Ohio? What's uping? Talk to us? What you
think what and what Jess.
Speaker 7 (01:15:24):
Now, look that's what I would thinking. First of all,
just do a real woman, do a real one, because
see not a lot of females would would have said that,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 23 (01:15:32):
But yeah, like you're right though, like for somebody not
the place for paper or flight and then you go
online and through a pantry and mad because you can't get.
Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
To New York like kill It's crazy.
Speaker 7 (01:15:42):
Yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 23 (01:15:43):
And I and I feel like like nowadays, like borderline ladies,
like there's there's a thin line between prostitutions and you
know what I mean, a lot of today's a lot
of people it's like if you don't have this, you're
not buying me there, we're not want if I just
want to let you know, brother, we have to start
(01:16:03):
calling the police on them up prostitution just to do
she wants you up to money first, something to do
with it. Take Twitter and let her wake up to
the police, let her.
Speaker 31 (01:16:20):
Man let her.
Speaker 23 (01:16:23):
But you know what I mean, Like I said, though
I feel what you're saying this, I'm just saying there's
the same, you know, prostitution.
Speaker 1 (01:16:29):
Absolutely, brother, Hello, who's this Hi?
Speaker 7 (01:16:35):
This is John?
Speaker 1 (01:16:36):
Hey, John Good morning. What's your thoughts, John, Good morning.
Speaker 30 (01:16:39):
My thoughts is that I will fly myself in and
then I will have.
Speaker 14 (01:16:43):
Some money just in case i'll find myself on.
Speaker 1 (01:16:46):
So you wouldn't You wouldn't expect them to to fly
you out.
Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
You fly yourself in to see how it goes, and
you you would you would be okay, well, flying yourself in,
That's right, yes.
Speaker 17 (01:16:54):
I would, because you know, I used to know this lady.
Steadily she said, if you're gonna meet a guy, have
your way there and have your way back.
Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
Just think, okay, all right, thanking Yard. Rico, Good morning, Rico,
Good morning morning. What's your thoughts? Rico?
Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
No didny man, no ditty. That's those times is over with.
They gotta fly to the out, no questions as a
smatter of debate.
Speaker 23 (01:17:20):
That's just that's just the way it is now.
Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
Mm hm.
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
So it's no more getting flewed in.
Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
Nah, no more game flew in?
Speaker 17 (01:17:28):
Man.
Speaker 14 (01:17:28):
You see what's going on here?
Speaker 17 (01:17:29):
Man?
Speaker 1 (01:17:29):
They trying.
Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
If the girl gets flown in and she don't like
her experience, she could go ahead and just say, oh,
oh he did this to me, he did that to me. No,
you there gotta be some kind of proof of you know, consent, consent.
Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
Well, even if she flies herself in and she don't
want to do it, that's just because she flew herself in.
Speaker 1 (01:17:48):
That's me, that's consent. You just you just can't do it.
Speaker 14 (01:17:50):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, no ditty, I said.
Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
No, Oh my goodness, Rico eight hundred five eight five
one five one if he's just joining us April Jones.
Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
She did this rant on Instagram, asking what your thought is?
Just play a ran again?
Speaker 10 (01:18:02):
What is happening with the men in the world?
Speaker 29 (01:18:06):
They want to be catered to, They give you bare minimum,
They don't want to spend money. Men will come with
the bill, will come to the table, and the men
don't grab the bill. Women are grabbing the bill first,
and we are paying for the bill.
Speaker 16 (01:18:23):
Somebody said, how about he come to you?
Speaker 30 (01:18:24):
But that wouldn't even that's fine, come to me, but
don't ask like, don't yeah, don't say you're not gonna
fly me, but come to New York. Okay, you're gonna
send for me, because he could have easily just s
been like, I want to see you, I will come
to you.
Speaker 10 (01:18:38):
What is happening with the men?
Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
All right, what's your thoughts. Call us up right now.
It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning and.
Speaker 4 (01:18:48):
Club.
Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
Let's say if y'all talking about it, no, we talking out.
It's topic times called eight hundred five eighty five one
five one to join into the discussion with the Breakfast
Club Morning.
Speaker 3 (01:19:01):
Everybody is the j n V, Jess Hilariy and Charlomagne
the guy. We are to Breakfast Club. If you're just
joining us, we're talking about April Jones. You know her
from Love and Hip Hop. Of course that's O Marion's
baby mama.
Speaker 1 (01:19:12):
And this is what she said.
Speaker 29 (01:19:14):
What is happening with the men in the world. They
want to be catered to. They give you bare minimum.
They don't want to spend money. Men will come with
the bill, will come to the table, and the men
don't grab the bill. Women are grabbing the bill first,
and we are paying.
Speaker 16 (01:19:33):
For the bill. Somebody said, how about he come to you?
Speaker 30 (01:19:36):
But that wouldn't even that's fine, come to me, but
don't ask like, don't yeah, don't say you're not gonna
fly me, but come to New York.
Speaker 10 (01:19:43):
Okay, you're gonna send for me, because he could have
easily just been like, I want to see you, I
will come to you. What is happening with the men?
Speaker 1 (01:19:52):
So, now what's your take on this?
Speaker 5 (01:19:54):
Yes, I said said this before, I'm gonna say it again.
I feel like, always have yourself. If you got yourself,
then nobody can ever leave you stranded. You can never expect, like,
don't hold a guy at too high of a standard
where you feel like he's automatically gonna pay for something
or he is supposed to. He's not obligated to pay
(01:20:14):
for anything, right, Yeah, like, get yourself there.
Speaker 3 (01:20:17):
I agree, I know nobody would get fluid in you know,
you get yourself hidden and then you know, then I'll
fly you home. But you're not gonna say I traffick
you from LA to New York and then get No,
it's not gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
This is expensive prostitution expensive. Hello, who's this all right?
Speaker 31 (01:20:33):
This is Jessica calling from Decat, Illinois.
Speaker 1 (01:20:36):
Hey, Jessica, what's your thoughts?
Speaker 7 (01:20:38):
My thoughts?
Speaker 31 (01:20:39):
Is this what April you were seeing with doctor Dre
So I don't see how she was even entertaining a
man that this is even the conversation, because after you
at a certain level of a billionaire, you shouldn't even
have to talk to somebody about getting fleu out for one. Yeah,
but if I did have to talk to somebody, I
(01:20:59):
almost my self out just to show you that I'm
a ball, Like would I get there? You gotta cover
everything just to show me.
Speaker 14 (01:21:07):
The energy back?
Speaker 1 (01:21:08):
Thank you girl, Thank you, because.
Speaker 31 (01:21:09):
I'm gonna make sure that I get I mean, that's
on me. If we're talking like that, that's on me.
Speaker 16 (01:21:14):
I'm gonna show you I'm a ball.
Speaker 31 (01:21:16):
But you were sing with doctor Dray, so I don't
get it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:19):
Yeah, and where it is Diggs, Right, that's what I
was thinking.
Speaker 19 (01:21:25):
With a whole another Yeah, yeah, you ain't looking so
good with this one.
Speaker 31 (01:21:33):
I can't be proud about getting flew out like I'm
a boss.
Speaker 7 (01:21:36):
I'm gonna do it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:37):
I wish I would thank you. Mama. Hello, who's this?
It's Mohio all right, I'm not gonna repeat that name.
What's your thoughts?
Speaker 22 (01:21:45):
Hey, I'm not Why ain't nobody else like only brothers
who got average to blow average type?
Speaker 4 (01:21:54):
Game?
Speaker 22 (01:21:54):
Gotta pay one time? It's local, no planes. But there
was a woman who called me and said she needed
a tune up, but she needed a babysitter. I said,
call me back when you handled that babysitter issue. And
then she called me back and she needed a ride.
I didn't feel like getting up, so she had to
catch a taxi. I didn't think she was gonna do it.
(01:22:18):
I was just on something because I can't. But she
got a babysitter. Hey for the babysitter kind of tax
you over to my house while I had two cars
in my driveway. They're functional, but I felt kind of
bad the next day, so I did at least take
her home.
Speaker 7 (01:22:32):
Yeah, I was here.
Speaker 1 (01:22:34):
What's wrong with you?
Speaker 31 (01:22:34):
Sir?
Speaker 1 (01:22:35):
You couldn't get out?
Speaker 14 (01:22:36):
And I got you.
Speaker 22 (01:22:37):
I got you when you get here. Oh, by the way, Jess, congratulations,
you gave birth to a whole, full grown baby, ninety
inch toddler and already back at work.
Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (01:22:51):
Now, what's your name again? You know this is how
stupid I am. But it was like she needed a
tune up. I was like she needed a tune for
her car. I just call you said, nah, need I
got it now, I got it.
Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
Goodbye, sir, I got you, go man, goodbye.
Speaker 5 (01:23:05):
No, that's different because they had two cars. She got
the babysitter.
Speaker 1 (01:23:09):
She got at it.
Speaker 5 (01:23:10):
Look what she did call him ask them for money
for the babysitting. He said, no, all right, I'm with you.
I'm not paying for nobody to watch the kids. But
he couldn't come pick her up.
Speaker 1 (01:23:17):
She must have been she must have been desperate.
Speaker 3 (01:23:20):
Yes, because you know when when a woman I would
assume needs to tune up, right, I would assume that
there's a lot of guys that would be able to like,
I'll tune you up?
Speaker 1 (01:23:28):
Like why him? Like why am I gonna get a
babysit and take a taxi? We got called? He must
have a man be the best tune up?
Speaker 7 (01:23:36):
Hello?
Speaker 1 (01:23:36):
Was this my little?
Speaker 8 (01:23:38):
My little?
Speaker 14 (01:23:38):
From queen?
Speaker 1 (01:23:39):
Mellow? From queen? What's up? Mellow? What's your thoughts?
Speaker 14 (01:23:41):
I felt like if they had a conversation beforehand, then
it's all right from.
Speaker 7 (01:23:47):
It's something her to get out there?
Speaker 14 (01:23:49):
Remember when I got you on the way back?
Speaker 1 (01:23:51):
Okay, so you agreeing that she got to get ass
over there?
Speaker 22 (01:23:55):
Yeah, okay, I got you?
Speaker 1 (01:23:56):
All right? Well, thank you? What's the more of this story?
Speaker 7 (01:23:59):
Jess?
Speaker 1 (01:24:00):
Keep money in your own make account. Be a boss.
Even if you not a boss.
Speaker 5 (01:24:03):
If you not a boss, you ain't You don't have
time to be messing with no guys that no boss
yourself up and be able to at least get yourself
somewhere and get yourself back.
Speaker 1 (01:24:13):
Please, and don't depend on somebody else.
Speaker 2 (01:24:17):
Don't.
Speaker 1 (01:24:17):
Don't just assume that.
Speaker 5 (01:24:19):
A guy is obligated to to fly you out like
that's I don't know where that monseter came from.
Speaker 1 (01:24:24):
Pride them damn city girls, that's where that mindset came from.
Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
Because see what's gonna wind up happening. You're gonna say,
all right, yeah, I got you your your you know,
go to the airport, your tickets there, and when she
gets there, it's gonna be spirit.
Speaker 1 (01:24:37):
In the middle seat, no extra leg room, and she
got to pay for her bags.
Speaker 15 (01:24:41):
On that.
Speaker 1 (01:24:43):
That that's actually true. You're asking for it. You asking
for a flight.
Speaker 5 (01:24:45):
You want to gotta fly you out. Yeah, you're gonna
find your ass in emergency role and.
Speaker 1 (01:24:50):
It's gonna be connected.
Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
You gonna have to stop in either Detroit or Houston,
and then you have to take a connection to all.
Speaker 1 (01:24:59):
Of that just because you don't want to pay for
your flight. That's crazy. All right, Well we got just
with the mess coming up what we're talking about.
Speaker 5 (01:25:04):
Yes, we do listen, I'll be Sure is posting cryptic
messages about Quincy.
Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
We're gonna break it all down, all right, we'll get
to that next. It's the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 1 (01:25:14):
Good morning, the Breakfast Club, Good morning. Everybody is dej.
Speaker 3 (01:25:20):
Envy, Jess, Hilarry, Charlamagne to God. We are the Breakfast Club.
Let's get to jest with.
Speaker 1 (01:25:24):
The message you use is real, butther is just co
Robin Moore just don't do no line, don't do.
Speaker 23 (01:25:30):
That talk.
Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
World why jests worldwide message on the Breakfast Club the coach.
Speaker 18 (01:25:41):
She was able to get y'all to see something and
understand something that nobody could get you to see.
Speaker 5 (01:25:46):
The sun set it off, all right, So I'll be
Sure's message to his son. Okay, So he shared a
cryptic message on his Instagram story, seemingly taking shots at
Diddy's relationship with his son Quincy. All right, So if
you're not familiar with that dynamic, Quincy is the son
of Elbie Shore and Kim Porter, and when kim Porter
(01:26:07):
got with Diddy, Diddy took Quincy and e raised him
as his own son. Over the years, Quincy and Lbie
Shore they've had their issues.
Speaker 1 (01:26:14):
And with that being said.
Speaker 5 (01:26:15):
The post that lb Shore shared to his story said
nothing breaks a dad more than seeing his love for
his kids turned into a weapon.
Speaker 1 (01:26:22):
Hashtag frequency.
Speaker 14 (01:26:25):
All right.
Speaker 5 (01:26:25):
Now, the post could be taken a few different ways,
so as it started circulating, everyone called it cryptic because
you know how Diddy has been recently referring to like
everything like frequency. He's been saying like frequency change, the frequency,
love frequency.
Speaker 1 (01:26:40):
So and he and he spelled.
Speaker 5 (01:26:43):
It was just certain things that he spelled fr e
lb show f r E and then Quincy and then
he added this post to his highlights on his page
Justice for Lady KP all right, and this was just
two hours ago. He said he wants his message to
be loud and clear, so he shared another post to
(01:27:04):
its Instagram and it's a picture of Diddy and fifty cent.
Now it's the Netflix docu saries that fifty soul to
Netflix after he won the bidding war, and it said,
f around and find out. All y'all who thought you
knew are going to feel so efing stupid after thirty
years when you find out the truth. I was silent
(01:27:26):
until now for a damn good reason. Uncryptic this right.
Speaker 3 (01:27:30):
It's sad because you could tell let Albi Shaw wants
he wants a relationship with the sonship. Yeah, and for
whatever reason, it's not you know, going the way that
I think he wants it to go. For whatever reason,
maybe you know, Quincy feels like he wasn't there. But
you know, I couldn't imagine not having a relationship with
my dad or not having a relationship with my son.
And it's difficult because you know, boys do what they
want to do. Like you know, Logan is probably my
(01:27:52):
heartest child when it comes to the love that I
have for all of them, because he's like me, He's
like his pops. He's you know, he wants to be independent,
he wants to do things himself. He's the type of
kid that you could say, don't touch the pan because
it's hot. He's still on try but then let me
see how how it is. That's that's him. So having
relationships with it with with with his son is always difficult.
So I hope they mend that in the.
Speaker 5 (01:28:12):
Especially why I'll be sure is still here. You know,
definitely would love to see that work out. Oh well,
Prayers up and more to come soon. Mark Zuckerberg was
in the studio with T Pain. Okay, so hopefully it's
some music coming about. He posted to his story a
picture of him in tea pain and in the studio
and it said it's happening guys.
Speaker 1 (01:28:33):
Yeah, Mark posted does not T Pain? Mark is he
rapping hours? He is in there with T Pain. I
don't know what they're doing. It's just a picture though,
and it says it's happening, guys. You should look at it.
They might be gaming or something like. Oh, they're in
the studio.
Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
That's a that's a board like the music board. That's
when a billionaire just gets bored, like he's got so
much money. So I'm gonna put out a routal now,
like that's just bored. But if that's something that he
always wanted to do.
Speaker 1 (01:28:57):
He's a billionaire. He can do whatever he wants, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:28:59):
But yeah, all right, well cause I'm looking forward to
a T Paint Mark Zuckerberg track.
Speaker 15 (01:29:04):
You.
Speaker 1 (01:29:05):
Yeah. I want to know what he got.
Speaker 3 (01:29:07):
I want to know how much he paid T Pain
because I don't want no money. Just give me some stocks. Listen,
let's give me some stocks in Facebook. I'll take a couple, Okay,
I'll take a couple I'll take one.
Speaker 1 (01:29:16):
No, that's true. That's true, all right.
Speaker 5 (01:29:19):
Chris Brown earns eighteen new r I A A certifications,
all right, so no guidance. Eleven time platinum, that's first
Diamond single. So drive a clues bomb for my man Brown.
That's my man, that's my man's I gotta put the

Speaker 1 (01:29:50):

Speaker 5 (01:29:50):

man's music, all right, two time platinum, called me every day,
and to go that single, and to my Bed Platinum,

Speaker 1 (01:30:02):

Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
Congratulations to Chris Brown, well deserved. I mean, he's a
phenomenal like artist, phenomenal entertainer. I heard he moved out
to Vegas, so I mean I would love to see
a residency for him. Just think about what a Chris
Brown residency would be where he doesn't have to travel
city to city and everything's set up, and his tricks
and the acrobats, the acrobatic stuff that he does, and
then Jim flipping and jumping and performing and seeing the dancing.
(01:30:28):
I just think that would be dope, Christmas. He's one
of those artists that's just once in a lifetime type
of artists.
Speaker 1 (01:30:32):
He's an unbelievable person period. Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:30:35):
And then lastly, John Krasinski is People's twenty twenty four

Speaker 1 (01:30:41):
You don't know, John, Okay, do you have a watch
the show to the Office that's Jim. No, damn. What
about the Fantastic Four? He played No.
Speaker 5 (01:30:49):
One of the Marvel movies he plays somebody in there.
But John Krasinsky. He was in Quiet Place one. He
was the dad he died.
Speaker 1 (01:30:56):
I didn't see Quiet Place one or two. Jesus Christ.
You in media, you don't watch nothing. You don't listen
to nothing. You don't see nothing. I told you growing
up my parents we never watched none of the white stuff.
We just it was always a yeah, not mine. I
mean didn't watch that.
Speaker 4 (01:31:11):

But is he sexy?
Speaker 5 (01:31:15):

he's one of my favorite actors in the series The Office,
other the Steve keral But.
Speaker 1 (01:31:23):
How do you get sexy over all those all those? Yeah,
because all those other sexy man pause and it is no,
it is some uh it to me?
Speaker 5 (01:31:32):
It could have been other people chosen over John Krazinsky.
But I mean he ain't half bad.
Speaker 1 (01:31:37):
But he looked all right. I mean people like the rock.
Speaker 3 (01:31:39):
Let me see it like a stressed soccer that That's
what he looked like. That's like a stressed sock of
that picture. His son just lost that got another picture.
Speaker 5 (01:31:47):
Yeah, definitely do look like he stressed out over his
son who ain't getting in the game. All right, either way,
Congratulations John Krazinsky. He definitely gonna accept this because I
definitely said I don't think he's sexy, but I'm gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:31:57):
Put in my application for the Sexies man. If he
could get set seues, man, I'm gonna put my application
and I'm gonna do mad push ups. Make my arms
a little bit, because I said, my arms look a
little like you know that post litle picure was like,
somebody post a pictures like this is why men shouldn't
skip on day in the gym.
Speaker 1 (01:32:11):
I was hurt by that. I know I've been in
the gym every day since. That's stupid chick that said that.
Oh his little feelings hurt. My feelings was hurt. That
is just with the mess. All right, thank you Jess.
Speaker 3 (01:32:22):
Now when we come back, we got the people's choice mixed.
Let me just salute to uh r V, a friend
of mine's birthday and my daughter's birthday is today.
Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
Drop a bomb for Madison, my oldest. She was twenty three.
Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
We partied last night, we celebrated. We had a great time.
Salute to the village that came out. All my family
and friends that you know are part of helping that
that raising her. I call them out village. Everybody has
a part in what they do, whether it's giving advice
or helping out, or watching or driving or whatever they have.
I always say, it's a village that that helps raise
our kids. And I love each and every one of
(01:32:53):
everybody that came out last night. So happy birthday, Maddie.
Speaker 1 (01:32:56):
I love you. I just FaceTime.
Speaker 3 (01:32:57):
She was like that I am not going to work today? Off,
all right, well you do what you want. It's your birthday.
Just to Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Your
mornings will never be the.
Speaker 1 (01:33:07):
Same morning everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:33:08):
It's the EJ N V Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne the God.
We are the Breakfast Club. And we got a special
guest on the line right now, my brother Ray Quawn
the chef.
Speaker 26 (01:33:18):
What up?
Speaker 14 (01:33:18):
Ray Yell, Y'allut what out y'all?
Speaker 1 (01:33:22):
How you feeling? How's everything?
Speaker 14 (01:33:23):
I'm schelling man selling a beautiful, beautiful day, beautiful birthday
in the town.
Speaker 3 (01:33:28):
You know absolutely if you don't know, Ray Kuan is
opening up a dispensary. Today is the grand opening. It's
called Hash Story of Cannabis Dispensary is out in Newark,
New Jersey. First and foremost, congratulations Ray, Yeah, congrats, thank.
Speaker 10 (01:33:42):
You, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 14 (01:33:44):
Appreciate y'all, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (01:33:45):
Now, how did you get into this space?
Speaker 3 (01:33:47):
Because I know it's very difficult to get a license,
and I know it was difficult, especially in New Jersey,
So what made you want to do one in Jersey?
Speaker 14 (01:33:54):
Well, you know, you know, Jersey is so close to
stat now and I grew up in Jersey and you know,
between Jersey and stat Down it's like being home.
Speaker 6 (01:34:04):
You know.
Speaker 14 (01:34:05):
I remember when I was a kid, you know, all
my mom's it's like, yo, you can stay out after
the lights come on. Go Well, we would go hang
out in Newark and you know what I mean, just
back and forth from here to Shadland.
Speaker 1 (01:34:20):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:34:20):
You know a lot of people have been having issues
with opening dispensaries in the New York, New Jersey area.
Speaker 1 (01:34:26):
What was that process like for you?
Speaker 28 (01:34:28):
Oh?
Speaker 14 (01:34:28):
Man, it was serious, very serious.
Speaker 8 (01:34:31):
You know.
Speaker 14 (01:34:31):
It's just all about having your eyes dotted Tea's cross,
you know, having the right lawyers representing your business and
just doing the right thing, just making sure you got
everything on point. You know, it's serious though. You know,
Jersey don't play no games. But it was just all
about me and my team really doing everything the right way.
Speaker 15 (01:34:52):
You knew.
Speaker 14 (01:34:52):
He was passionate about it, you know, wanted to just
make sure everything was straight.
Speaker 18 (01:34:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:34:57):
Most people don't know I was. I was actually doing
one in in Jersey at one time. And it's very costly.
And when I say, they go through everything, and it's
not just you and your partners. They do go through that,
but also they go through your business and where you
want to put it. So if you're too close to
a church or too close to a school, or you're
too close to a bus stop, or you're too close
like there's certain things that you have to make sure
(01:35:19):
that everything passes because they are very very very very
