Speaker 1 (00:21):
I feel blessed, black and holly favor, but happy to
be here another day to serve our beautiful listeners.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
What's happening? Yes, it's Friday. The weekend is here? Dammit.
How you feeling?

Speaker 5 (00:30):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (00:30):
Yes, yeah, I feel good?

Speaker 7 (00:33):
Charla Man?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I feel incredible? Man, God is good. You know, when
you wake up in the morning, you should really just
thank God for another day of life because there's a
lot of people, you know, who woke up dead this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
A right, so you know when you wake up and
they didn't wake up?

Speaker 8 (00:47):
Yo?

Speaker 6 (00:47):
What is envy? Literally said the same thing yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I said that yesterday.

Speaker 6 (00:52):
I mean if I go to sleep and then I
wake up up and be dead, I'm like, Yo, you're not.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Gonna wake up and listen he listens to me to
but no, you could though you don't know you like,
you know when you watch stuff like a Vengers end
game and you see them pass away and then they
wake up in like, you know, another place.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
You could wake up in another place. We don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
He really don't, you know, But I'm just for everybody
who woke up in this dimension. Thank you, thank God? Okay,
thank God?

Speaker 9 (01:17):
All right, Well today Gary Owen will be Jordan Us.
You know Gary Owen, comedian. He has a new special.
It's called Gary Owen. No s it's on.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
You too, yes, because Netflix won't give him a special.
I'm mad, I'm miss Gary.

Speaker 10 (01:34):
But no.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
The only reason I keep bringing that up is because
Gary really wants a Netflix special. He always talks about
it like that's his thing, like he wants that, but
for some reason, it just keeps evading him. But everybody
around him gets one. You tell you had Nate Jackson
on a couple of weeks ago, and he got one,
and him and Gary used to do a podcast together.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Y'all bring that up. I hope you about that.

Speaker 9 (01:54):
He talks about that. He talks about biting Nate Jackson's
whole style. He talks about Lauren and Lauren wigs.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
He talks about Jess and yo, we go through that,
we go through.

Speaker 9 (02:04):
The gamut of all the things that he said in
the last couple of months. He didn't not say nothing
but her Wig.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
Oh he didn't know.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
I made that up. Yes, sorry, I can. I could.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
I mean, any comedian that they would hone in on
that though, I can understand that being a target.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (02:17):
So yeah, So we had a great conversation with Gary
on it was it was. It was a good conversation.
So we get that back on and then we got
front page news. All right, Morgan, to be Joe.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
And also also today is Friday, so you know on
Fridays we do the people's donkeys, so you can call
in and give somebody the credit they deserve for being
stupid this morning.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
That's right, all right, Well we got front page news.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Next.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Good morning morning.

Speaker 9 (02:39):
Everybody is dj NV, Jess, Hilarry is Charlamage the guy.

Speaker 7 (02:43):
We are the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 9 (02:44):
Let's get in some front page news.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
What's up, Morgan?

Speaker 11 (02:49):
Hey, Hey, how we feeling on a Friday?

Speaker 6 (02:51):
Felling good girl?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
All right?

Speaker 11 (02:54):
I love to hear it.

Speaker 12 (02:55):
All right, So first off, front page three, of the
five soldiers shot at Georgia Sports Stewart are out of
the hospital.

Speaker 11 (03:01):
That's great news, right.

Speaker 12 (03:02):
Brigadier General John Loubis provided updates on the two who
remain hospitalized, and he also praised the response to the shooting.

Speaker 11 (03:10):
Let's take a listen to his comments. Get into it.

Speaker 13 (03:13):
One soldier remains as an impatient here at Win Army,
right here on Fort Stewart. She's doing very well in
high spirits.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Of course, she's got a little bit of a road
to recovery.

Speaker 13 (03:22):
We're hopeful she may be released as early as this weekend,
but that will just depend on how things heal up
over the next couple of days. And we have one
soldier that remains at Savannah Memorial. We trained internally for
the worst case scenario, and our doctors and our medics
and our soldiers responded exactly as we trained them to do.
And now our job is to make sure that we
care for them as they.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Walk through this.

Speaker 11 (03:43):
Brigadier General Lubis Yes.

Speaker 12 (03:46):
He went on to talk about efforts to bring the
brigade back together by offering support to their fellow soldiers.
Of course, the suspected gunman and active duty military member
was taken into custody following the attack. He is identified
as Sergeant Cornelius Radford and you was stationed at the
base and ended up being subdued by fellow soldiers.

Speaker 14 (04:03):
He's believed to have used his.

Speaker 12 (04:04):
Own personal handgun in the shooting, not an army issued weapon.
But of course, the investigation into why this all took
place is ongoing and I will continue to keep you
guys posted. Meanwhile, in international affairs, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
net and Yahoo says his country intends to take full
control of the Gaza Strip, not to retain, but not
to retain it.

Speaker 11 (04:24):
He sat down with Fox News two months.

Speaker 12 (04:26):
Ahead of the two year anniversary of the start of
the war with Hamas is really Prime Minister Benjamin and
Yahoo said Hamas must be removed from Gaza.

Speaker 11 (04:37):
Let's take a listen to his comments.

Speaker 15 (04:40):
We don't want to govern it. We don't want to
be there as a governing body. We want to hand
it over to our forces that will govern it properly
without threatening us and giving Ghazan's a good life.

Speaker 12 (04:56):
Yes, Sontan Yahoo claimed Hamas is hurting their own people
in Gaza, and he went on to say the only
way a different future for Gaza is to remove The
only way to have a different future for Gaza is
to remove Hamas, which he also called a neo Nazi army.
He also claimed Tomas is behind the starvation in Gaza
and Israel is trying to change that. Now the US

(05:17):
has pledged to help and offer more aid and open
more aid centers in Gaza.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Now.

Speaker 12 (05:23):
Meanwhile, the UN is calling for Israel to immediately halt
its plans of that military takeover of the Gaza Strip.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights released a statement
today saying the military plans runs contrary to the ruling
of International Court of Justice that Israel must bring its
occupation to an end as soon as possible now. UK

(05:43):
Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned Israel's plan this morning as
well and said it will only bring more bloodshed to
Palestinians and China also spoke out against the plan, calling
on Israel to immediately cease its dangerous actions. So again,
we will keep you posted on what's taking place on
the Godza Strip as it relates to the Palestinians and

(06:04):
the Israel as well.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Another who does it, Who does Israel?

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Answer too, because it seems like someone is always trying
to tell Israel to not do something, but they don't
ever seem to listen.

Speaker 11 (06:14):
I'll listening, not answer for that one.

Speaker 12 (06:18):
No, who gonna check me bo, says BB and other
international affairs. President Trump says Russian President Vladimir Putin would
like to speak with him and meet with him. Speaking
from the Oval Office, Trump said both Putin and Ukrainian
President Zelenski both want to meet with him as as
the Friday deadline today for Russia to start the ceasefire
talk approaches, Trump told reporters it's not necessary for Putin

(06:41):
to meet with Zelensky prior to the meeting. Prior to
meeting with himself, he was asked if he will impose
strict tariffs on Russia today if Putin does not come
to the table, and the President says that's up to Putin.

Speaker 11 (06:54):
In other news, The Trump Trump President the President.

Speaker 12 (06:57):
President Trump is honoring nearly one hundred Purple Heart recipients
that took place in a ceremony yesterday at the White
House on National Purple Heart Date. Trump said the nation
gives the recipients and their families everlasting thanks.

Speaker 11 (07:11):
Let's take a listen to his comments.

Speaker 16 (07:13):
And we're here to honor and celebrate the unyielding patriotism
and grit and devotion to America's Purple Heart veterans.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Is great emotion and great love. Today we give our.

Speaker 16 (07:26):
Everlasting thanks to you and your unbelievable families.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
We want to thank you very much for being here.

Speaker 6 (07:32):
It's my great honor for sure.

Speaker 12 (07:35):
Definitely saluting those. Some of the recipients and attendance include
three veterans who gave their Purple Heart mederals to the
President following the assassination attempt on his life yet last year.
The Purple Heart is America's oldest military decoration and it
honors those killed or injured in combat. So salute to
those recipients. That's your front page news for six am.

(07:56):
Stick around at seven am. We'll actually get into what's
happening with those w NBA games and uh, those.

Speaker 11 (08:04):
Those sex choys that seem to make it on the court.
We'll talk about that.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
So say, Bill, do still flying? I heard them one?
I heard another one got thrown last night.

Speaker 2 (08:11):

Speaker 2 (14:37):
We got the latest with Lauren coming up.

Speaker 11 (14:38):
Yes we do.

Speaker 14 (14:39):
I broke an exclusive yesterday. Shannon's Sharp and miss Tillman,
the woman who suited for defamation. They came to a resolution.
Were gona talk about the settlement all right.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
We'll get into that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good Morning,
The Breakfast Club, Good Morning.

Speaker 9 (14:56):
Everybody's dj NV just hilarious. Charlamagne guy, we are the
Breakfast Club. Let's get to the latest with Lauren.

Speaker 7 (15:02):
Larm Be coming straight fast.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
She gets some who somebody that knows somebody detail.

Speaker 14 (15:09):
I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about everything,
and she'd be having the latest.

Speaker 7 (15:13):
On the latest with Lauren la Rosa.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Sometimes you have sometimes you have details. Sometimes you have
a little bit of everything.

Speaker 7 (15:21):
The latest on the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Talk to me.

Speaker 14 (15:24):
See yesterday I broke an exclusive that Shannon Sharp and
Chad Johnson al Cho Cinco they reached a resolution in
that defamation lawsuit. The woman Jamia Jimalita Tillman out of Chicago.
That's the woman who was viral in the Usher video.
She had the moment with Usher when viral and then
all the people said she had a husband and her
husband was leaving her allegedly, Well, she came after or

(15:46):
not came after, but she fouled a lawsuit agains Shannon
Sharp and Altro Cinco because they reported falsely according to
her on that moment. And yesterday it was entered into Pacer,
which is the online system, that this was dismissed and
that a resolution had been found and that the court
had decided that they were going to dismiss it, but
nothing would be awarded in court, so no money, no reward.

(16:06):
I was then told by a source that outside of court,
a settlement or resolution was reached. It was a mutual
resolution that was reached. And I also received a statement
from Jimmie to Tilman, and she says, we look forward
to future discussions about the positive contributions mister Sharp and
I both make to the community. I wish him, his
family and the business endeavors to continued success. So that's done.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Resolution don't always mean that she got a payment.

Speaker 14 (16:32):
Though it doesn't. It doesn't always mean that she got
a payment, but you know, I haven't. I have a
pretty good inkling of kind of what happened, but I
don't know a number. But I do a pretty good
inkling of what happened. And I did try and reach
out to her attorneys because miss Tilman said, you know what,
I'm done with this. There's nothing else I can tell you.
Because I asked her, She's like, I can't comment on it,

(16:53):
and I heard nothing back on the number. The inkling
is that I know that there was more than just
a hey, let's just get rid of this and I
should settle this. But there was a she's very well
taken care of, was what. There was a there was
a settlement. There was money involved.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Oh so you think there was that payment? Yeah, this
is this is from Lauren la Rossa. Lauren Larrossa thinks
there was a pain.

Speaker 7 (17:13):
Yes, her opinion.

Speaker 9 (17:15):
I mean, I will say this, if you say some
some wrong news and I tell you it's wrong and
you don't correct it, and it's been a long time
and I keep telling you that it's wrong and it's
affecting me and my life and things on the internet,
and people don't take it down.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Yeah, she should. She should be uh yeah, taking care.

Speaker 14 (17:29):
Of And I saw when I posted the story, I
saw people reacting to it and kind of like attacking
her for doing what she did. And I don't. I
feel like if she felt like it was incorrect and
it was messing up what she had going on, Like,
what's wrong with her doing that?

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Oh no, nothing at all. I mean, listen, free speech
is not free.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
There's a price to pay for everything that comes out
of your mouth, and folks can cash in at any
time if they're spreading wrong information. So like all the
podcasters and the YouTube was the content creators. The reality is,
when you get on these platforms and say things that
aren't true, you can be held liable. It's just a
matter of when and if a person wants to pursue
the case, they can.

Speaker 14 (18:05):
Yeah, agreed.

Speaker 12 (18:07):
Well.

Speaker 14 (18:07):
In other news, shifting gears a bit, Eddie Murphy sat
down with Speedy Mormon over on Complex three six Speedy
three sixty with Speedy Speedy be getting the people. Okay,
this interview was it was Sweedy's interviews are very short,
but they're always good. Eddie Murphy talked about a lot
of different things, but one of the things he talked
about was he ranked his worst movies in his best movies. More,

(18:29):
he tried to Let's take a listen to Eddie Murphy
on what he thinks his worst movies are.

Speaker 21 (18:33):
It'd be easier to name the full worst movie.

Speaker 7 (18:35):
So let's hear them.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
What do you got?

Speaker 21 (18:37):
Nash holy Man?

Speaker 7 (18:40):
Some say Norbit, but I like Norviy.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
I love Norbit.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
You know.

Speaker 21 (18:43):
Norbod came out when right after I got the Oscar nomination,
and there were articles it was like, how can he
get an Oscar?

Speaker 4 (18:49):
He did this? It's like two different movies, and I
wrote Norby with my brother Charlie. And here's the thing
with Norba.

Speaker 21 (18:57):
When it came out, they I got voted it for
for the worst Actor of the decade, worst actor, and
the worst actress.

Speaker 7 (19:09):
Actress.

Speaker 21 (19:10):
They gave me for worst actress, Worst actor, Worst Actor
of the decade.

Speaker 14 (19:15):
I was like, come on, yeah, I thought that that
was pretty interesting. Worst actor was actress at the same time.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
That crazy.

Speaker 7 (19:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (19:25):
He also talked about, you know, just in playing in
the Nutty Professor old on.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
God, I disagree with it his mouth. I mean that
his Mount Rushmore. But you know what, I disagree with
his Mount Rushmore.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Eddie Murphy movies.

Speaker 7 (19:38):
He's about his worst movies, he said.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Oh, he said.

Speaker 14 (19:45):
Best, Now, you could do it when I do the best.
So I'll come back to you. But so we're going
to get to the best movies that he thinks were
the best of his career. But he did mention that
if he had to tell people, like one character that
like showcases career best, it would be Nutty Professor because
he did so much in that movie. And then Speedy Acca,
what were your best movies? Rank those? Let's take a
listen to that.

Speaker 21 (20:05):
Yeah, Nutty Professor has a bunch of stuff in it.
It's all these different characters and have to play different stuff.
And if I just had to take one movie just
to represent my whole, it would be Nutty Professor.

Speaker 22 (20:19):
When you think about what the mount Rushmore of Eddie
Murphy movies is, what's on there for.

Speaker 21 (20:23):
You coming to America, Nutty Professor, Shrek, Let's say forty
eight out? Oh no, no, wait a second, because the
dream Girls is great. Yeah, so let's take off. I'll
take forty eight hours off and put dream Girls only hills.

Speaker 6 (20:40):
What about Life see Life.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Exactly, Yes, it's exactly see for me, it would be
coming to America Life, Nutty Professor.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
And then I'm on that last one.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
I'm a little hung up between Golden Child, Harlem Nights, all.

Speaker 7 (20:54):
The nice nice.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Yeah, that's my that's my same one. But hallm Nights, Okay,
All Time is coming to America. I watched that a
thousand times. I watched Life of than Times Life too.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Yeah, Callumn Knights.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, coming to America. Life and Nutty Professor seemed like
givings to me. It's just that last one out, that
last one between Golden Child, Halem Knights and Boomerang, I
get I was getting hung up on He said that.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
When I saw Golden Chill, I forgot about gold.

Speaker 7 (21:27):
Like that was oh man, that was a classic.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
He was.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
It was just it was just interesting to first of all,
dropping the clues Box of Speed. It was just interesting
to listen to what Eddie thought his best movies were,
because I ain't I wasn't I like those movies he
named without like.

Speaker 14 (21:45):
Nah rush yeah. And out of all those movies, it
seems like, you listen to the interview, but hopefully maybe
just m bed In. Out of all those movies, how
many do you guys think he actually had the audition for.

Speaker 9 (21:57):
None from his whole career his career, I heard Beverly
Hills Cop because it wasn't for me, for somebody else,
and then he tried it.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
I thought it was these Beverly Hills Cop forty eight
dollars was made for Sylvesters to loan. I got who
I forgot which one aren't?

Speaker 14 (22:14):
Eddie Murphy said, out of his whole career, he's never
had an audition for one movie. But he did have
the audition for Snel and that was the only thing
he's ever audition.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
For Crazy, I've said none, Yeah, I thought one. Yeah,
some things are just written for certain people. When you
know you write these projects, you already got somebody in mind. Yes,
that's genius one hundred percent.

Speaker 14 (22:32):
And out of his big career, he talked about his
legacy and how he wants people to remember his legacy
based on his career. Let's say listen to that as
we close.

Speaker 22 (22:39):
Do you ever think about legacy at all? I mean,
obviously you're so stamped in this, but do you ever
think about legacy?

Speaker 21 (22:45):
My legacy is my children, Like this is what I
do to make a living. It's that my legacy.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
My legacy at all.

Speaker 21 (22:53):
A legacy is you know my children that I produced,
these wonderful, well balanced human beings that I'm proud of that. Yeah,
that are good people. That are ten good people, Like
I don't have the one Oh this is the boothss
celebrity that kid, I don't have any of that. Like,

(23:15):
all my kids are really good people, and that's my
legacy that you know, I got these great kids that
I produced.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Dope, Yeah, dope, Eddie Murphy Man City Hall.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Yes, I dropped for Speedy earlier. But Eddie Murphy Senior Hall, Keenan,
Ivory Williams, Robert Townsend at different level of legends, right there, man,
different level of icons. We throw those words around, legend
and icon when it comes to certain people.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
With those individuals.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Different foundations, foundations of black Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Yeah, you gotta put Martin in there. You gotta put
Will Smith as well.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Hell yeah, yeah, Hey man, I said what I said, bro,
it's a different era. Eddie City and Robert Townsend was
a different.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Era, Mike.

Speaker 23 (24:04):
He wants you to know.

Speaker 7 (24:05):
No, I don't agree.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
It's a different era.

Speaker 7 (24:10):
Area we talked about.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
We talked about the foundations of how Martin, Martin and
Will stand on the shoulders of people like Eddie Arthenil
Keenan and Robert town shoulders.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
I can't wait, Jess. All right, Well that is the
latest with Lauren. Thank you Lauren.

Speaker 9 (24:27):
Now when we come back, we got Front Page News
and then Gary Owen is coming in here to check Lauren,
so we'll get.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
Into that and a little bit.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Don't do that.

Speaker 14 (24:34):
Don't get that way, man in trouble.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
This morning.

Speaker 7 (24:36):
M's the breakfast boy. You gotta be white the breakfast club.
Your mornings will never be the same.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
Good morning.

Speaker 9 (24:42):
Everybody is DJ n V Jess hilarious, Charlamagne the guy.

Speaker 7 (24:46):
We are the breakfast club.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Let's get in some front page.

Speaker 9 (24:49):
News and some quick dial though news. Another dealzo was
thrown on a w n B A game on the court.
This time it was tough enough. It was a per
this time, so they changed the color from lyme green
to purple. And they did it with ladies two seconds left.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Ladies, let me tell you how you get you get
back when the NBA start. You gotta start throwing pocket
pocket poom pooms on the on the floor. No, that's
what you gotta do. You gotta, yes, go get through
little pocket poom pooms and throw them on the floor
at the NBA games. That's how you get your get back.

Speaker 14 (25:21):
No, okay, so thought, all right, y'all, let's get into it.

Speaker 12 (25:25):
So. WNBA is dealing with more incidents involving the sex
toys being thrown at games now. One recently landed near
the feet of Indiana Fever stars Sophie Cunningham, who would
previously ask fans on social media to stop posting a stop.

Speaker 14 (25:39):
Growing them because it would end up hurting a player.

Speaker 12 (25:42):
Now, the first incident happened on July twenty ninth in Atlanta,
followed by multiple incidents leading up to last night. As
MB spoke about, this comes most recently as a man
is facing legal truffle. Now, he isn't the guy that's
actually doing him. He's only just okay, spoiler alert, he
just following the trend.

Speaker 11 (25:59):
Okay.

Speaker 12 (26:00):
So this guy is in legal trouble after throwing a
sex toy that struck a nine year old girl and
her uncle at a w NBA game. Eighteen year old
Caden Lopez was booked into Maricopa County Jail on suspicion
of disorderly conduct, assault, and public display of explicit sexual
material during a game between the Connecticut Sun and Mercury
Phoenix on Tuesday. Now, Lopez reportedly told officers he was

(26:22):
sorry and he was following a stupid prank.

Speaker 11 (26:25):
That was trending on social media.

Speaker 12 (26:26):
Now, according to court documents, the adult male victim was
interviewed and says that he does desire prosecution. So y'all
better be careful and you know, doing all of this,
the w NBA coaches are, you know, coming out basically
saying we're not the butt of a joke.

Speaker 14 (26:41):
That's Cheryl Reeves, not the butt of a joke.

Speaker 11 (26:46):
But you know, they're pretty livid with what's going on
and they wanted to stop.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
So yeah, So right now the w NBA is on
high dialdo alert because a lot of this stuff is
happening towards the end of the game.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
And so I know, around like the last.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Several seconds of the game, everybody's on high alert, just
waiting for dil doos to fly.

Speaker 12 (27:07):
That's great, so yeah again, sure, read the Minnesota Leak's
head coach. She said, there they are a problem, and
it's not funny. She said they need to take action.
So you know, you guys be careful out there now.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
It's not funny, but it is funny and it's wild.
How whenever the deal, though, gets thrown on the court,
everybody acts like it's used. Like people be grabbing towels,
nobody wants to touch you with their bare hands. People
be kicking it like it's not a used deal though, we.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Don't you don't know.

Speaker 9 (27:37):
You don't know that, you don't you don't know people
are dealing with these deals before they throw it, like
you don't know.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
That is true. That is true.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Somebody throwing wait till somebody throw one that sticks to
the court, and then the people.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
Gotta keep jerk.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
That's crazy switching gears.

Speaker 12 (27:58):
So President Trump's the sweeping slate of global tariffs went
into effect overnight, and poor taxes will reach levels not
seen in the country in almost one hundred years, with
over sixty countries and the European Union facing rates of
fifteen percent or more. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett spoke about
the administration's ultimate goal.

Speaker 11 (28:16):
Let's hear from him.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
We are trying to rebalance trade in America. Let's favor.

Speaker 24 (28:22):
We want to bring back the high precision manufacturing jobs.
We want to get rid of these big deficits that
we have with countries that have created these big surpluses
and the gudit our manufacturing base base.

Speaker 12 (28:38):
So a wide variety of products will be hit, ranging
from appliances, cars, food and furniture and both. In a
post on truth Social just after things went into affect,
Trump said, billions of dollars are now flowing into the US.

Speaker 11 (28:52):
That's what he's see. Okay.

Speaker 12 (28:54):
Elsewhere, the FBI has agreed to track down a group
of Texas Democrats who fled the state and protest of redistricting.
The request was made by Senator John Cornyn, who says
it's important that this group of rogue Democrats be held accountable,
adding it's important to get these lawmakers home and back
to work.

Speaker 11 (29:11):
Let's take a listen to his comments.

Speaker 25 (29:13):
We cannot allow these rogue legislators to avoid their constitutional
responsibilities and make a mockery out of Texas. We resolve
our differences by debating and voting, not by running away
and hiding from our constituents. In addition to avoiding their
duty while on a public relations tour, these cowardly legislators
are blocking vital flood relief.

Speaker 12 (29:35):
So FBI agents will be assisting state troopers who are
ordered or were ordered by the governor to arrest those
involved in the quorum break. Now, again, state troopers do
not have any jurisdiction in the states that those Dems
left to Illinois, New York and Boston or Massachusetts. Rather,
civil wars have been issued, but again, local law enforcement

(29:57):
can't make arrests outside of the states. It's interesting to
see how FBI what role FBI will be playing. It
says that they will be assisting state troopers, but it's
interesting considering that you know FBI E to fad so,
but that's your front page news.

Speaker 11 (30:11):

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Call us one one hundred and five A five one
oh five to one. It's the People's donkey. You know
it's Friday. We allow y'all to call in and give
somebody the credit they deserve for being stupid. You can
give somebody the biggest he haul. Reach out and touch
this right now. It's the world's most dangerous morning show,
The Breakfast Club.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
Yep.

Speaker 9 (30:43):
And when we come back, Gary Owen will be joining us.
We'll talk to him next year. Is a new comedy
special Gary Owen no s so we'll talk come next.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
It's The Breakfast Club. Good Morning, The Breakfast Club.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
Morning.

Speaker 9 (30:56):
Everybody is DJ NV Jess Hilarios. Shall I mean the guy?
We are The Breakfast Club law La Rosa is here
as well. We got a special guess in the belt, Yes,
we do.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
One of my favorite comedians ladies and gentlemen, I don't know,
but one of my favorite gentlemen.

Speaker 7 (31:13):
Yes, let's get ratings about the skyrocket.

Speaker 14 (31:17):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (31:18):
How are you feeling?

Speaker 7 (31:19):
First and foremost? How's everything is great? No complaints?

Speaker 2 (31:22):
I've been I've been really watching your clips the last
couple of the.

Speaker 9 (31:28):
Last the last couple of weeks, I've been watching your clips,
and I just want to say salute to you. I've
seen a couple of clips where one guy, which was
kind of weird. I thought it was kind of weird.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
His wife died, Yes, and he still went to see
Gary Owen.

Speaker 9 (31:42):
Yes, two days two days later, two days later, uh,
because he was supposed to go with his wife and
his wife died and he still went, which was surprised,
And but he went and Gary, you decided to take
care of the funeral course.

Speaker 7 (31:53):
The well they cremated her creed. I took calarn and
I gave him. I gave him more because they had
to take off work for month, but he didn't. I
don't think he had a a GoFundMe. So he got
that and that got over fourteen thousand.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (32:08):
So he got But the reason it just was kind
of spur of the moment, but it was more he
didn't ask, because then you see the good and the
bad side of social media to do something like that,
because I had my DMS got overrun. Well, since you
helped him, help me.

Speaker 8 (32:22):
Can you do this?

Speaker 7 (32:24):
Alls he sent me a message was he told me
that his wife passed. They and then when I saw
his page. They go to a lot of comedy shows.
That was their thing. So they got pictures of all
kinds of comedians and so he's I'm going to go
because she wanted. She we were supposed to go, and
so that's why I took care of it. Because he
didn't ask. He said, Man, I don't know if you
do meet and Greece, but I really like to get

(32:45):
a picture with you. That's all he wanted.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
That's all he wanted.

Speaker 9 (32:47):
Yeah, yeah, I could even tell even when he was asking,
he was stuttering like I'm not here for this, but
thank you.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
And I wanted to know.

Speaker 9 (32:54):
You know, because you pick on. I don't want to
say pick on, but you will call people out at
a show. Have you ever called out somebody and it
was wrong? Like I've done it up here all the time,
but like, so what does your mom think? And they'd
be like, my mom's dead. Like it's happened a bunch
of times. So has that happened to Yeah, you just
be like, oh the way to.

Speaker 7 (33:08):
Bring the show down. You had a conversation. You're there
to laugh, But that's gonna happen, you know, not mean
like that. People think I'm just doing like crowd work.
Sometimes I get interrupted and we're taping it now. So
I finally got a full time camera person with me,
which I should have did a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Oh that's why I'm seeing so many clips now. Yeah,
well I got the right or too.

Speaker 7 (33:32):
I mean I had camera guys, but then I'd be like,
why did you stop it there? Now I got it.
Took trial and error. Now I got the right team.
So that's why I think you're seeing me more in
the algorithms and the clips are better because they're actually
capturing it and they're editing it correctly, you know.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
What I mean.

Speaker 6 (33:50):
So you're so you were always doing it, you just
got a team to actually capture it, edit it and
put it together.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (33:57):
Thanks to Nate Jackson. Okay, I saw him here last week.

Speaker 9 (34:01):
We don't get today Jackson, but also Lon Rosa that's
sitting to the right of you threw a shot at you,
just just just you. Yeah, there was another white comedian here,
and I think she was trying to pick two white
comedians against him.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
That white comedian, Yes, and she just threw a shot
at you for no reason. And we didn't. Let's let's
listen to the order and know what's going on the player.

Speaker 7 (34:24):
But they brought to Kendrick lamar thing. Listened to it,
and all of a sudden, the girl that fills in
for just hilarious, that was there when I was there
a few months ago. They said, you know, Kendrick has
never really said who he's talking about. Andrew's like, how
do we even know Kendrick was talking about me?

Speaker 19 (34:38):
Now?

Speaker 21 (34:38):
Envy Charlotte Magne and the Schultz is like, we all know.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
Who Kendrick was talking about. He could have been talking
about Gary Owen and literally goes, ain't nobody check it
for Gary.

Speaker 7 (34:50):
I tell you this girl and I can't remember her name,
I don't know what her issue was with.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Me is, but I'd be like, we heard, how did
I catch a strain? Anybody checking for Gary Olwen in Baltimore.
Somebody check it for me?

Speaker 7 (35:05):
Worried I love murd out Nash for this weekend.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
Somebody check it.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (35:12):
It reminded me of was like when Terrese got Man
because I said I said a joke, Like in her mind,
I'm not a real celeb. Yeah, she doesn't take me serious. Yeah,
it doesn't feel I bet you. In her mind if
she was booking the show, she wouldn't have me on.
I bet you in her mind she is no, no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
No, no, Gary, you like that?

Speaker 8 (35:34):
No?

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Hold on?

Speaker 14 (35:35):
Why first before we ask me questions? Do you know
my name?

Speaker 12 (35:38):
Now?

Speaker 4 (35:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (35:39):
Laura l Rossa from Delaware went to Delaware State.

Speaker 23 (35:42):
Okay, people come from me.

Speaker 14 (35:46):
They act like they don't know my name.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
But you.

Speaker 10 (35:51):
Shot?

Speaker 15 (35:52):
Did you?

Speaker 14 (35:53):
First of all, it wasn't a shot.

Speaker 17 (35:55):
What you are? I?

Speaker 23 (35:56):
Okay?

Speaker 14 (35:56):
So I have a can you be quiet?

Speaker 7 (35:59):
All right?

Speaker 14 (35:59):
I have a tendency to say things and I don't
think much of it. But then I'm realizing that people
It hits people differently, because I thought I was saying
that during that time, it was very clear what Kendrick
Lamar was talking about because Andrew Schultz in the conversation
that he had was all over the news, and then
the Kendrick Lamar stuff happened, so over the news.

Speaker 7 (36:20):
Gary Owen, don't be all over the news, but show
with Kendrick. Andrew's never work with Kendrick.

Speaker 14 (36:25):
At the same time, y'all know what I'm talking about. Like,
it was very clear at the time what was happening.
It wasn't a dig at you. It was like a
I thought we all saw the same thing.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
I saw.

Speaker 14 (36:36):
You said, I think I think you a celebrity.

Speaker 7 (36:40):
No, I just want content. I want you to react.
I don't take none of this personal. And if I'm
doing a ram, I'm like, yeah, they probably picked this up,
and sure enough he took that bab No, I mean no,
I saw you in the car. Yeah, it helped out,
helped both of us out. Now, look, then they're gonna
clip this up and we're still riding that kindred train.

Speaker 9 (37:03):
We're still kicking it with Gary Owen. Now, Gary, it
seems like you have a problem with black women. First
it was Lauren, then to the left of you, you
and Jess Hilarious were back and forth because yes, I
ain't never.

Speaker 6 (37:16):
Saying nothing, but I and I don't know why this
white man decided to attack Met's listen me.

Speaker 7 (37:25):
Yeah, Jess Hilarious went to Detroit did the Mike Mike
EV's Comedy Club, which Mike has had nothing to do
with it. His name is on it, but I guess
it just wasn't run well the weekend she was there,
but she goes on the birst Cup and she goes,
you know, they told me Damon Williams is gonna be
on the show. I get there, it's Damon Williams. I

(37:46):
don't know, No, Damn Damon Williams. And I'm going, Jess.
Everybody knows Damon Williams in the comedy world, everybody, everybody, everybody.
I don't know why she took that moment to dig
on Damon issues and apology to Damon Damn, kind of
discrediting him, like, I don't know, Damn Damon Williams. Every

(38:07):
comic knows Damon Williams.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
Out of Chicago.

Speaker 6 (38:11):
I'm from Baltimore. I ain't from no damned Chicago.

Speaker 7 (38:14):
Williams.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yeah I do. Now I know who he is.

Speaker 6 (38:17):
Now he's dude, Yeah, yeah, obviously, but I met him
one time backstage, right he was on the same show.
I meet so many people on one shows with.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 7 (38:28):
So it was the damn Yeah, it was the damn
you said, I don't know Dann Williams. You don't know no,
damn Damon Williams.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
She was more taking her frustration out on the nightclub club.

Speaker 6 (38:37):
It was just more so, and it was you weren't
the only one.

Speaker 5 (38:40):
It was.

Speaker 7 (38:40):
It was a lot of people.

Speaker 6 (38:41):
I think he called an ax to make videos to
say like, yo, come on. It showed he ruining my credibility.
I'm valid, I'm in these streets. I've been like a
pioneer and can y'all please let her know who I am?
And it was it was you, amongst other you know
o G comics that made the video and said it.
But I'm like, yo, I really did not know who
he was until pictures were posted. A couple of pictures

(39:04):
were posted from one night at a club we were.

Speaker 7 (39:07):
On dra.

Speaker 6 (39:09):
Yes, I did, I swear. I meet so many people
like I just did not remember. Oh that's Dami Williams. Okay,
cool even still only met him one time. Now, my bad,
But like I'm not gonna say sorry because I didn't
know who he was by name, and every comic does
not know Dami Williams. Every comic does not know me.

(39:33):
Every comic don't even know your ass. Every don't know everybody.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
Some people are just like dumb, we know what that is.

Speaker 6 (39:42):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 7 (39:42):
But it's like I I did not know ye well
he ran with it, and like I said, it's all content.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
I didn't.

Speaker 7 (39:49):
I didn't say.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
No, So you just jomked in. You didn't even even caught.

Speaker 7 (39:55):
Yeah, listen, I'm very listen, I'm very strategic what I say.
You don't see me call them out their name. You
don't see me saying they should get fired. You don't
see me saying they're not good at their job.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
I don't ever.

Speaker 7 (40:10):
I'm like, anybody check for Gary, you know who damn
Damon Williams is. And then I just keep it moving.
I'm like, yeah, they're gonna respond. I literally go to
my phone and be like, oh yeah, Lauren did it.
When I go on, Jess is gonna bring this up.

Speaker 6 (40:25):
And you know what's crazy when you did that when
you posted the video, somebody was like, why telling me
from PAB was gonna make a video talking about I said,
tell me from probably don't know, no, damn d But
I was like, you know that's Gary.

Speaker 7 (40:37):
Yeah, so boom yeah we're talking about it. Am Me
gonna get the smoke.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
Smoke.

Speaker 7 (40:46):
I'm a respectful, like beef person, just like her, Lauren.
She just good at her job.

Speaker 14 (40:51):
You did say that, he did?

Speaker 6 (40:53):
He said very hip hop veron was a dish.

Speaker 14 (40:56):
You just that was good at my job. You said,
I take my hip hop very seriously. Like that was
like a you say, did your name exactly?

Speaker 4 (41:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (41:01):
That was purpose.

Speaker 14 (41:03):
If you think I'm good at my job, you can say,
now are you good at your job?

Speaker 7 (41:06):
I think you add something to the show. You know
what I mean, You're it's good to have a little
antagonist every now and then.

Speaker 23 (41:11):
But what does that do for you though?

Speaker 14 (41:13):
At where you are? Because like, wow, yeah it's fun.

Speaker 7 (41:18):
Can we have fun in this?

Speaker 14 (41:20):
No, I'm just saying where you are? Meaning so when
I when you said I didn't think you were a celebrity,
I was like, what, I've been watching you. My household
has been watching you forever. I do think you're a celebrity.
I'm saying where you are as if like you're at
a point where like that type of trolling do you
need to do that.

Speaker 7 (41:37):
I don't think it was trolling.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
I like the breakfast club.

Speaker 14 (41:39):
So I chime in, you're commentating, commentating that same thing
you're doing. Yeah, but I feel like my comment like
you're you're here saying those weren't your true feelings. If
I say something that's really how I feel.

Speaker 7 (41:52):
Yeah, I'm completely fake on the Internet.

Speaker 14 (41:54):
Yes, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (41:55):
I mean, I did. One of my specials is literally
called hashtag doing what I do because I go, I'm lying.
If I need a hashtag, I'm lying. I'm taking pictures
in front of yachts. I wasn't on the yacht. I
was lying.

Speaker 6 (42:07):
So that's what bow Wow got all that face?

Speaker 4 (42:09):
Yeah, probably did.

Speaker 7 (42:12):
That's where I got it from. I got from the
best when he was on Private Planninggo, that's a good idea.

Speaker 6 (42:20):
Yeah, so you got your comedy special.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Gary was not the one on Netflix.

Speaker 7 (42:24):
No, you know that's a lie.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
You you got to do a video.

Speaker 14 (42:31):
Netflix yet?

Speaker 2 (42:32):
But yo, so do you really does it really grind
the gears when people call you?

Speaker 1 (42:37):
Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 6 (42:41):
When people say Gary Owens not.

Speaker 7 (42:44):
I don't think the public, but I think when a
promoter hires me and you put on the flyer. I'm like, dude,
you what the wrong name on the flyer? The funny
it just happened last week, uh Stevid. They did some
promo video about some city I'm coming to and it
was Gary Owen. I go, bro, And he's like, why
aren't you reposting it? I go because you got the
name wrong. They don't do it to nobody else. You

(43:05):
don't see Bruce Bruce's.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Earthquakes.

Speaker 7 (43:09):
But just hilarious, you know.

Speaker 9 (43:15):
Now, you know, on a serious note, you are funny.
You sell out shows all the time, sell out specials
all the time. Yeah, what did you do to an
executive at Netflix? Did you bang somebody's Why you did
you bang somebody's?

Speaker 1 (43:27):
Man?

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Like, what did you do where they are not reaching
out to you?

Speaker 7 (43:30):
Like, I don't know. It's ridiculous, now come on, I know,
I but you know what it's been. People think like
I got all this these special all these networks. Now
it was BT had a good relationship with them when
they were doing comedy, and then show Time had a
good relationship with them, so Showtime stopped doing comedy specials.
So it pretty much there's three buyers, right, now Hulu,

(43:50):
Amazon and Netflix. Right, So I don't know, do you
ask me, I don't know.

Speaker 9 (43:56):
See comedians getting special that you feel like he's not
better than me, He's not better.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
I think we all think we're better than everybody else.

Speaker 7 (44:02):
If we're being honest, we're like, but I would, I'm
not ever bitter towards another guy getting a Netflix special.
I'm like, yeah, that's fine, because I'm doing fine.

Speaker 4 (44:10):
Like I'm selling out everywhere.

Speaker 7 (44:12):
In advance, you know what I mean. So I'm YouTube's
I finally figured figured it out with YouTube. I said,
who was the highest paid people on TV? It was
judges and it was daytime talk show hosts. And I
was like, why cause they're on every day? Correct, that's
why you knew Jerry Jerry Springer was on once a week.
He wouldn't have been. So I go, I gotta post

(44:32):
a clip every day. I have to take over people's
phones and I have to post good clips. Once I
figured that out, I go, it just went. And this
is all in the last like three months. And it
just went because even my guy Adam who's he's like
slash opener and he's also my web guy. It was
the best DM I ever answered this guy DM me

(44:52):
like two years ago and said, hey, I'm just starting
out doing stand up. You know, I've been watching you forever.
And I said, I looked at this page. Who is
your clips? He goes, I do it myself. I said,
you can come down to a guest spot. We said
the West Palm Beach improv I go if you film
me and let me see how the clips look me.
And it's been seamless ever since. It took a while
for me to bring him on like full time, but now,

(45:13):
but you just hired for the clips.

Speaker 4 (45:15):
Oh.

Speaker 7 (45:15):
He's very funny and he takes the craft serious. Like
even when he's not with me, he's on stage every
night he's oping Mike and he's I'm like, dude, you
want to stage again. So he takes the craft serious
and I love the way he edits me. And it's
just it's seamless. So I'll even call him to be
like that that clip wasn't funny, take down or it's
too short or you know, but we were good together.

(45:36):
But that's what that's what's happened over the last like
three months. We finally was like we made a decision.
Every day we got to post a clip.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
Yeah, you know that's work because I can tell the difference.

Speaker 6 (45:45):
Yeah. So he's a comedian.

Speaker 7 (45:47):
He's a comedian names Adam Fink.

Speaker 6 (45:49):
And he is a videographer and he does He came
from like doing rap videos.

Speaker 7 (45:54):
He was like working with Big Sean and some other people,
and so working with me is great. He goes, there's
less weed. Yeah, I'm getting paid on time, no offense. Hey, yeah,
I got paid, but I have to ask you know
what I mean, don't get my money. The video's over.
The song's number two.

Speaker 9 (46:14):
Was still kicking it with Gary Owen. So you had
a crazy divorce and it's finally over. You moved on
and everything is good. So you've been You spoke about
your relationship with your kids. Has that got any better
at all?

Speaker 7 (46:25):
Son got right after I left here last time. Son
got ahold of me. So now we're good. He was
just in Vegas with me last two weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (46:31):
How did y'all make the interview?

Speaker 7 (46:33):
He didn't see the interview. He had an issue at
his job and he needed my help, needed my advice.
So he just called at a left field. It was
funny because out of my open we're in Philly and
he matched with this girl on tender and he goes, yo,
I got to feel in. This girl's trying to catfish me.
Can you go to the bar with me just to
play wing man?

Speaker 4 (46:53):
All right?

Speaker 7 (46:54):
So we're walking to the bar and my phone rings.
It's my son. I looked up and go, my son's
called me, and I go, I'm siding call me like
three years So I picked up. I said, good luck
with your Tinder date.

Speaker 4 (47:06):
I hope, but I'm out.

Speaker 7 (47:08):
So we talked for like three four hours at night
and then, uh, yeah, we're as close as ever now.
It just took it took time. Daughter is still still nothing,
but she's uh she's gonna be a tough.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
On the crack.

Speaker 14 (47:21):
Have you attempted to reach out to your daughter since always?

Speaker 5 (47:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (47:25):
I always do, But you know, I don't have I
don't have any I don't have a way to contact her.
She's not on social media. She got a new cell phone,
so I have I have no way other than an email.

Speaker 14 (47:36):
She told her brother not to give you her number.

Speaker 7 (47:40):
Well it's it's a little different than that. I'll keep
that between them. I'll keep that between them. I don't
want everything. I'll be on the breakfast club.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Yeah, but that's good. But what was that initial conversation,
like it was like my son?

Speaker 7 (47:51):
Was it natural? Was it like, hey, how's it going?

Speaker 9 (47:53):
It was like, hey, Dad, we haven't spokes speak, Like,
how was that that conversation after three years?

Speaker 7 (47:57):
Because it's still your son? Yeah, but you still got
a place for y'all.

Speaker 17 (48:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (48:02):
The first thing he said was, Dude, I know we
got a lot to work on. I know we'll get
to it, but I really need your help with this
problem right now. So I went into immediate like dad mode,
like all right, this is what we gotta do. And
then it just so happened. I was gonna be in
the Bay Area like two weeks later, and that's where
he lives. So the phone call happens two weeks later,

(48:22):
we got to reconnect and then uh, and then he
ended up flying back to Houston with me. I said,
you wanna you wanna fly back Monday when I fly back? Yeah,
because you got the twins. So we got to meet
the twins. And then everything's good. Now he's got it.
You know, he's got his favorite already.

Speaker 9 (48:39):
To be honest, when you first seen that number, did
you think it was a money call, like you know,
like because you know when your kids call, it's.

Speaker 7 (48:45):
Either or they need some money. Oh no, he has
no problems for money. Okay, that's not an issue with him.
Let me tell you. Yeah yeah, yeah. I was like this, Oh,
you're making up for that three years, So it wasn't
it money. I need avice was that that wasn't a
money call. There's been money call since that's natural.

Speaker 8 (49:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (49:08):
Did you have a moment where you, like, because the
last time you're hearing you talked about it, it was
it was a little bit emotional for you, ish, did
you have a moment where you like, we're like, oh, okay,
like I finally got to the point where me and
my son are reconnecting. You were able to like take
it in.

Speaker 7 (49:20):
And like yeah, yeah, yeah, but you know, I was
like I was able to like be honest with them
about the divorce. It had nothing to do with you.
That's too me and your mom because I think he
I think and maybe my daughter feel that way too.
I think they probably think they had something to do
with it, And I was like, dude, it had nothing
to do with you nothing, So yeah, you got you

(49:41):
kind of replayed the years lost in your brain. But
then where we're at now, well, you know, we're good.

Speaker 4 (49:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (49:48):
I didn't miss a wedding. I didn't miss like him
having kids or anything like that. So I think that
would be that would be tough. Like if my daughter
ever when she does get married, My god, I hope
we're back. Can touch by them?

Speaker 4 (50:00):
You know? Yeah, all that?

Speaker 14 (50:03):
Do you change how you do your jokes now, because,
like I mean, from this point on, because your son's
watching and you know all the things, and you had
jokes about the divorce and all that stuff. Did y'all
talk about that?

Speaker 7 (50:13):
No, he's he's got a dark sense of humor like
I do. So he was good with it twenty four
Oh yeah, yeah, he's an adult now.

Speaker 4 (50:22):
Yeah, so now he's good.

Speaker 7 (50:23):
He'd be cracking up. And then you know, it's funny
because now he's kind of hanging out at the comedy
club up there in the Bay Area because I when
I did the show, I brought him up there and
everybody knew him from back in the day we used
to come around. So now he's kind of hanging out
there a lot. So he's meeting a lot of the comedians.
So it's been good because I think I've been cool
with most comedians. I'm like Jess, you know, with Damon.

(50:46):
I mean, at one it stay sold out, he sold out.
We added Sunday, it's sold out. You want to talk
about Atlanta next week sold out. We did add a show,
We did ad a show Sunday in Atlanta, and then
in two weeks I got eleven shows in DC. They're
sold out.

Speaker 6 (51:01):
I don't know that's right, girl.

Speaker 8 (51:05):
You better.

Speaker 7 (51:09):
Oh wait a minute. I mean I'm in Virginia Beach
in October. October, so you better tell.

Speaker 6 (51:18):
That's right.

Speaker 14 (51:18):
No more divorced jokes because it came up in court me.

Speaker 7 (51:22):
I know that with that thing, it came up mediation. Yeah,
that was funny. Though I can't even lie. I never
even like the same thing. If I'm talking about Jeff,
we're talking about Lauren. It's all content. Even in the divorce.
I was like, even with the mediation, it was content,
like I was acting like I was serious. I was like,
that's kind of funny, you know what I mean, you

(51:43):
got it.

Speaker 6 (51:43):
It's just and it's like, I know, the lawyers don't
even know when to take you serious.

Speaker 7 (51:47):
This is why I learned. This is the biggest thing
I learned. I help anybody's getting a divorce listen and
then you hear it all the time. Get to a
point where you're cordial with your ex, and you, guys,
decide what you want to do that's fair to everybody.
Because this is when I knew these lawyers are playing
us this. We were held up for a couple of
weeks over life insurance. She wanted to take out like

(52:10):
like a I think it was like a five minut
do our live insurance policy on me?

Speaker 15 (52:13):
Right?

Speaker 13 (52:13):
You?

Speaker 4 (52:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (52:14):
Me in case I passed away? So she's good, right, yeah,
but she's got to play the premium. I'm not paying it.
So my lawyer went back and forth to her lawyer.
Oh that's too much for life insurance.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
I said, I'm dead.

Speaker 7 (52:25):
I don't care what it is she's paying for it.

Speaker 4 (52:28):
I don't care what my policy is.

Speaker 7 (52:29):
They go, well, I don't think the live asurance should
be bigger than the divorce settlement. I go, who cares?
When I realized I'm getting the bill, like, okay, why
am I getting charged every email over there, I said,
it's done. Give it to her. I'm done. And then
when I finally we finally get to a point where
you're like that, I go, this is so pointless. They
will literally find one thing to keep it going. And

(52:51):
that kept it going for a couple of weeks. That dang,
if I'm dead, how much does she get? I don't,
I don't care. I'm although you get a physical and he's.

Speaker 6 (53:01):
Just getting your money, taking more money to prolong it.

Speaker 7 (53:04):
And I finally told her. I was like, I finally
got to a point where I called her.

Speaker 4 (53:07):
I said, look, we just got to get this over with.

Speaker 7 (53:09):
Trust me on this. I said, yeah, I wasn't the
best with fidelity, but I never did you wrong financially,
you know what I mean. So so you feeling all right?

Speaker 6 (53:18):
Yeah, you all call you gorgeous right?

Speaker 7 (53:22):
Every now and then it'll creep back up, like, well,
stay badly. I think the it's funny. I want to
stays a little bit like when I had the twins.
I randomly sorry to airport and I said, hey, you
know I had twins. He goes yeah, and I go, well,
do you want to see them?

Speaker 15 (53:42):
She just no.

Speaker 7 (53:42):
I said, I know you do. So I showed her
the twins right so that.

Speaker 2 (53:47):
Yes, it's fun.

Speaker 14 (53:49):
It's not fun.

Speaker 6 (53:50):
She thought it was fun him by now.

Speaker 7 (53:54):
So anyways, she goes, there's this white arm and there's
this white leg in the side of the picture. She goes,
who's that. I go to nanny, given nanny, even nanny,
we have a nanny. I go, well, you met me
at the wrong time. If you be now, you would
have a nanny.

Speaker 6 (54:11):
He's a.

Speaker 14 (54:14):
I would have threw my drink at you.

Speaker 7 (54:17):
Why it's funny, Laura, when you get divorced, you'll know.
I'm glad. I'm glad we're friends again. Lauren L. Rosa
from Delaware, Delaware State. But just know, if I ever
say anything, I don't mean it. I don't at all.

(54:40):
Anybody check it from any about you.

Speaker 6 (54:42):
You should have called it.

Speaker 7 (54:43):
Laura from TMZS, Delaware States. It's the breakfast Club. Good
morning morning.

Speaker 2 (54:50):
Everybody's d j Envy, Jess, Larry Charlamagne the guy. We
are the breakfast Club. Let's get to the latest with Lauren.

Speaker 7 (54:57):
Want becoming a straight.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
She gets to be somebody that knows somebody detail.

Speaker 14 (55:03):
I'm a lone girl that knows a little bit about everything,
and she'd be.

Speaker 4 (55:07):
Having the latest on you. The latest with Lauren la Rose.
Sometimes you have fact. Sometimes you have details, sometimes you
have a little bit of everything.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
On the breakfast club talking to me.

Speaker 14 (55:19):
All righty. So we've been talking about BT in them
suspending the Hip Hop Awards and the Soul Train Awards.
So Fat Joe has his show, Joe and Jada with Jadakisse,
and you know, he's hosted the awards for BT. He's
done it three years in a row. So he commented
on what he thinks is actually going on over there
and why this happened. Let's say a listen to Fat
Joe BT.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
This is a form of gentrification.

Speaker 11 (55:40):
What's going on right now?

Speaker 2 (55:42):
So BT came up as a community station for black people.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
Bob Johnson took the check. He sold it first black
billionaire or whatever the case may be, he sold it.
He sold it to Viacom Paramount. Little by little over
the years, quietly, they've been firing a lot of people
behind the scenes in BT. And everybody you asked something
to say, they've been firing them and this and this
and that. The budget not for me, but the budget

(56:09):
just kept getting just getting chopped and chopped and chopped.
And last year I debuted my single with Cali in
the VMA's and Katie Perry still flying through the air,
they still blowing out of the cannons. They still got
the budgets, and so in the entertainment world, this was
like a form of gentrification. They kept underfunding them and
you ain't got no money to be creative.

Speaker 14 (56:31):
Yeah, so that's his take on it.

Speaker 4 (56:33):
But now Joe makes some great points.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
I mean, the budget kept getting smaller and smaller because
the way people was consuming content was different.

Speaker 4 (56:41):
And I don't know if BT adjusted fast enough.

Speaker 1 (56:44):
And you know, when you don't adjust fast enough and
people start going to other places for content, then your
if you and audience get smaller. So then when you
want to start doing when you want to do those
big award shows like the BT Hip Hop Awards and
the Soul Train Awards and everything else, if you an
audience ain't there, the sponsorship money ain't there, and so
now you don't have either one.

Speaker 7 (57:02):
But that's that's the main reason.

Speaker 9 (57:03):
I'm sure, like the budgets get smaller because there's no
sponsorship dollars because people are not watching it. So if
they can't pay for it, they're not gonna get those
big budgets like before.

Speaker 14 (57:11):
Yeah, exactly that and fat Joe says, Honestly, I know
that they're saying, you know, the BT Awards are going
to be fine, and even though the ratings and all
the things. But Fat Joe says, if there's one misstep
with the BT Awards, that could be next too, because
if that is happening, it's happening across the board. BT
doesn't have room to slip. Unfortunately they don't, so you know,
he's just putting it out there.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
One misstep is simply one big sponsor, literally, one big
sponsor saying we not interested this year, literally, and that'll
be it.

Speaker 14 (57:41):
Well, speaking of live shows or lack thereof, yesterday Diddy's
team talked about him wanting to do something at MSG
when he comes home whenever. That is well, man, they
are butchering Diddy's weight to sentence in because now they
went and did press following that to try and clean
it up and clarify what they meant or didn't mean.
Let's take a listen to Mark Agniffilow, Diddy's attorney on

(58:04):
Madison Square Garden.

Speaker 26 (58:06):
While he did say to me that he hopes one
day his fortune would take him maybe back to Madison
Square Garden, I think that is if ever years down
the road, and that is not in his immediate conception.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
That is something quite frankly, I hope for him. He's
working very hard in jail.

Speaker 26 (58:23):
I think he is spending a lot of time thinking
about aspects of himself that caused him to be there.
I think he's someone who's very conscious of the fact
that he has these, you know, tremendous blessings in his life,
but he also has imperfections, as we all do. And
I think he's really spent a lot of time thinking
about that. And you know, the word that I used

(58:44):
in you know, been using and I want to use
it now is redemption, and redemption is earned, redemption is
not given, and I think he has done the hard
work to earn redemption.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
If I'm diddy, I'm just like, shut up. Yeah, I'm like,
there's no reason to to. I haven't got somethings yet.
You shouldn't be going interviews.

Speaker 9 (59:00):
Don't talk about me being in Madison Square Garden, the
Apollo and the Fried Chicken Spot.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
Don't talk about nothing. Just say hey, we'll see what
he gets sentenced.

Speaker 14 (59:08):
Wow, Like ah, yeah, Well, in addition to that, you
remember there was a conversation that Nicole west Moreland, like, you.

Speaker 4 (59:17):
Got a freak off, just like, why did you scream
like that?

Speaker 2 (59:26):
Just frustrate you talk and you sound horrible, he said,
and then you try to talk again to fix yourself
from the horrible thing, to make it worse, and you
make it worse.

Speaker 14 (59:35):
It's just like, ah, well, the parting conversation is this
looking pretty crazy too, because now Nicole west Moreland, who
said that they were having conversations with Trump, had to
go back and clarify what she meant as well, on
the same day that Mark did. Let's say a listen
to Nicole.

Speaker 27 (59:50):
So I saw you on CNN yesterday saying that there
had been conversations with the Trump administration. Are you able
to say who those conversations were with.

Speaker 6 (59:59):
No, No, I'm not in the weeds on that to
that extent.

Speaker 12 (01:00:04):
I'm part of the trial team and right now we're
laser focused on preparing for October third.

Speaker 27 (01:00:10):
But he did make your point of saying that he
was aware that, despite their previous friendship, that Sean Combs
had said some pretty negative things about Trump. You know,
if you're Donald Trump, why if you reread those comments,
should you contemplate a potential.

Speaker 12 (01:00:26):
Part because you are you want to do what's right
and what's fair, and you're not going to let anything
cloud those decision makings.

Speaker 27 (01:00:35):
I would say from your response that you are quite
hopeful that he will get pardoned by Donald Trump.

Speaker 11 (01:00:41):
I think being pardon would be the right thing to do.

Speaker 14 (01:00:45):
So we're hopeful, completely different. It really makes them look crazy.
I don't know what's happening over there, but man, it
ain't looking good whatsoever right now at all.

Speaker 23 (01:00:57):
Yes.

Speaker 14 (01:00:58):
Well, in other news, in other live show news, So
Offset was on Carmela Anthony Show seven pm in Brooklyn
and he talked about a plethora of things. So they
did talk about that BT Awards reunion that we saw
him in Quavo doing honor takeoff. But first he talked
about the group itself, in the fact that he never

(01:01:19):
wanted the group to even break up. Let's take a
listen to that.

Speaker 7 (01:01:22):
What was your seven PM moment? We're going solo?

Speaker 28 (01:01:25):
That was the that was the Big four because it
was like I just wanted more for myself as artists,
you know what I mean, and won't never on know,
like i feel like I'm better, bigger than none of
that it is. I wanted more for myself as an artist,
and I felt like the business of that corporation, of
that situation wasn't allowing it to be a better situation

(01:01:48):
business wise, and like, I got kids and shit, like
and a lot of cats. We're trying to get it
done when it's too late, Bro, you feel me like
the business business wise and like I got kids and
like and a lot of cats. We're trying to get
it down when it's too late.

Speaker 14 (01:02:04):
It doubled. But yeah, so basically when all that happened,
don't know if you guys remember when it was not
even announced, but when we started seeing the Migos kind
of break apart and Takeoff and Quavo were doing interviews
and Offset was out of it, it made it seem like,
you know, Offset was the issue and that's why they
weren't continuing. So I thought that it was such a
good thing to hear him say like he wanted it

(01:02:24):
to continue. It was just a business thing. I don't
think people really understood that at the time. Now, he
also sat down and talked about as we closed, I know,
we're wrapping up now. He talked about the loss of
Takeoff and We saw Quavo and Offset reunite at the
BET Awards back in twenty twenty three to honor him,
and he talked about, you know, just dealing with that
and how hard it's been a sick lessen.

Speaker 5 (01:02:46):
Well.

Speaker 28 (01:02:46):
I wrote it, Man, we took the biggest loss forever
and like people don't understand like personally losing a bro. Yeah,
I don't want to continue that, like it doesn't. It
ain't the same juice bro it even if it could
be bigger than it was, just because that happened. A
lot of rose ride wave off of bad situations and
like because it'll be bigger after because you know how
people people they give people flyers from bad like that

(01:03:09):
us Like that's like it's like it's like your brother's
sleeping in one house with your mommy and daddy and
goddamn now y'all just wake up and it ain't the
brother in the house no more.

Speaker 21 (01:03:19):
Yeah, it don't feel the same.

Speaker 28 (01:03:20):
So it didn't even so once that happening, it was
definitely like, oh that was another that was another PM
mom in life.

Speaker 7 (01:03:28):
Because I was about to drop an album and I
just the album.

Speaker 21 (01:03:33):
I didn't want to do music.

Speaker 14 (01:03:36):
Yeah, so he got He got pretty candid.

Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
I totally understand what he's saying, like like take off
passed away, like he's no longer here. He died, Like
the fact people wanted wanted them to just keep it
moving like nothing happened was ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
Like your whole world stops.

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Forget the professional aspect, just personally as a human, Like
you know how traumatic that is.

Speaker 14 (01:03:59):
Yeah, and you know, and obviously it's something that he's
going to be dealing with every single day. But I
think people don't look at, you know, these celebrities and
these superstars as people. So this interview was really good
because he got super candid with with the guys over there.
And the album that he was talking about is Kiri,
which he is coming out with on August twenty second,
So you know, he's back and he's trying to do
the things to push the aubumen and get it out there.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
All right, Hey, salute to seven PM in Brooklyn dropping
the clothes box with seven PM in Brooklyn. My god,
cast Merrow Carmelo Anthony, that phenomenal job over there.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
That's right, Well, that is the latest with Lauren and
you know what, guys, Lauren has been lying to us
because she's in Atlanta, And she said she was in
Atlanta doing some podcasting today.

Speaker 14 (01:04:41):
I'll be there today the podcast Festival swelve forty five.

Speaker 9 (01:04:44):
She had a grand opening yesterday, and I heard you
were at the Sene grand opening grabbing all those clothes yesterday.

Speaker 14 (01:04:51):
I was not, and I don't need to go so
grand opening machine. I just ordered it online because it
closed with like three dollars what SHA.

Speaker 9 (01:04:56):
Opened the store and they said there was like ten
thousand people out there trying to buy clothes and wigs
and things like that.

Speaker 17 (01:05:02):
For you.

Speaker 14 (01:05:04):
First of all, I even get here till like midnight.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):

donkey to?

Speaker 5 (01:05:09):

Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
Well, you know she ain't got the density.

Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
Brazilian virgin body waved wigs with the bags for thirty
four seventy two to forty seven percent off Saty walls.

Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
I'm sure she scooped up some of those.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
But today is the people's donkey, you know what I'm saying.
Today Today is the people's donkey. You know you can
call in one one hundred and five eight five, one
oh five to one and give somebody the credit.

Speaker 4 (01:05:29):

Speaker 1 (01:05:49):
Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one donkey

is what we allow people to call in and give
folks the credit they deserve for being stupid. Whoever you
want to give the biggest heat hard two, you can
do that right now.

Speaker 4 (01:06:03):
So good morning. Who's this Asha Ayisha?

Speaker 5 (01:06:07):

Speaker 19 (01:06:17):

anybody that our contract was in it and there was
no position to come back to.

Speaker 4 (01:06:27):
Well, who's the company?

Speaker 19 (01:06:29):
The State of North Carolina, Oh, the.

Speaker 4 (01:06:31):

Speaker 4 (01:06:35):
Got you got you, so, so you out of work
right now.

Speaker 18 (01:06:38):
Basically I will become October first, and that was the
very last minute and they definitely did not even take
into consideration.

Speaker 19 (01:06:45):
To allow us to find something within the time frame.

Speaker 10 (01:06:49):
So it's just like, yeah, now.

Speaker 19 (01:06:50):
I'm back to the daring board and applying for job.

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
Well, you about to be one of those numbers in
that unemployment statistic that Donald Trump says isn't true.

Speaker 19 (01:07:00):
M And the coral thing is actually be graduated school
for Coma Gusta. So, I mean, I guess it's a
good thing, but at the same college, just like the
job was, you know, for my degree.

Speaker 4 (01:07:10):
So it's just it's just it's just a temporary, temporary
set back, that's all. Nothing permanent. I'm sure.

Speaker 17 (01:07:18):
Oh yeah, yeah, no, I know.

Speaker 19 (01:07:20):

Speaker 4 (01:11:02):
Okay, that's not true.

Speaker 1 (01:11:03):
I opened the show. Oh no, no, you're right. But
I was sitting here. I was just trying to give
Envy a little bit of time and then I went up.
I went up anyway, Yes, that is true. If that
wasn't Tuesday, though, what are your proof?

Speaker 4 (01:11:16):
My time card is my proof, man, You ain't no supervid.

Speaker 4 (01:11:51):

that was clearly got this spot blowing up on the
t app and they are over it. Okay, they are
disgusted by the t app, But that's all we got
for today.

Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
Every Friday we do the People's Donkey.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):

Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
All right, thank you Charlamagne. Now let's open up the

Speaker 8 (01:12:42):
Now.

Speaker 9 (01:12:43):
Gary Owen just joined us a couple of minutes ago,
and he was talking about how he leveled up on
his X.

Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
Now, this is what he said.

Speaker 7 (01:12:50):
When I had the twins, I randomly sorry the airport
and I say, hey, you know I had twins because yeah,
And I go, well, do you want to see them?
She just no, I said, I know you do, So
I showed the twins right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
So, yes, it's fun.

Speaker 14 (01:13:05):
Is not fun?

Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
She thought it was fun.

Speaker 7 (01:13:07):
So anyways, she goes, there's this white arm and there's
this white leg in the side of the picture. She goes,
who's that. I go to nanny.

Speaker 4 (01:13:14):
She even nanny.

Speaker 7 (01:13:15):
Even nanny, we have a nanny. I go, well, you
met me at the wrong time. You was gonna be
Now you would have a Nanny's So.

Speaker 9 (01:13:25):
Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. Have
you ever leveled up on an X? Or has an
ex ever leveled up on you? Now we'll get to Yes.
I know Lauren has nothing to talk about with this one.

Speaker 14 (01:13:37):
But what exes that ain't never leveled enoughing life? When
I left?

Speaker 9 (01:13:45):
And what you was saying, crickets eight dread five five
one ex level Here we go.

Speaker 4 (01:13:54):
I'm not saying I'm a.

Speaker 14 (01:13:55):
Mine my business, No, my my business saying no, no, no.

Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
We'll do, we'll do when we come back. Cricket's. It's
the Breakfast Club. Good morning, your phone call in right now,
call me at your opinion to the breakfast Club top
break it down. Eight hundred five eight five one oh
five one.

Speaker 7 (01:14:16):
The Breakfast Club.

Speaker 4 (01:14:23):
It's topic time.

Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
Eight hundred five eight five one five one to join
into the discussion with the breakfast Club. Morning everybody.

Speaker 9 (01:14:32):
It's DJ Envy, just hilarious, Charlamagne the guy. We are
the breakfast Club. Lawn of Roses here as well, Nephew
just joining us. We're talking about leveling up now.

Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
This conversation comes from Gary Owen, who was just here
talked about the time he ran into his ex wife
at the airport.

Speaker 7 (01:14:46):
When I had the twins. I randomly sorry the airport
and I said, hey, you know I had twins because yeah,
And I go, well, you want to see them? She
just no, I said, I know you do. So I
showed her the.

Speaker 4 (01:14:57):
Twins, right, so.

Speaker 6 (01:15:02):
Not fun. She thought it was fun.

Speaker 7 (01:15:04):
So anyways, she goes, there's this white arm and there's
this white leg in the side of the picture. She goes,
who's that? I go, then, nanny, she have a nanny.
Even nanny, we have a nanny. I go, well, you
met me at the wrong time. Now you would have nanny.

Speaker 6 (01:15:21):
He's a.

Speaker 14 (01:15:24):
I would have threw my drink at you.

Speaker 9 (01:15:27):
So we're asking eight hundred five A five one, five
to one. Have you has an X ever leveled up
on you? Or you leveled up on an X like that?
Let's start with you.

Speaker 6 (01:15:35):
Yeah, have I ever leveled up on an EX? I
mean that, like, why what are we talking about? But
has an EX ever leveled up on me? I mean,
I don't know, I don't I don't know.

Speaker 30 (01:15:46):
You know.

Speaker 6 (01:15:47):
The craziest thing is I never really focused on that
because once you move on, you're done, you know what
I mean? And then I don't really have exes. The
only X I keep in such with is your own,
my son's father. So I don't really keep up or
keeping such with any of my exes at all.

Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
Now, Lauren, how many exes leveled up on you leveled
up on me?

Speaker 14 (01:16:05):
Out of the little bit of excess, I have zero?

Speaker 4 (01:16:09):
Who is going to by the way, who's going Who's
going to admit to this?

Speaker 14 (01:16:12):
Nobody's gonna be like, yeah, if I had an ex that,
I mean, I'm they're doing God bless them. They are
great people and they're doing well. But if I had
an exit, I felt like, man, I missed that, or
he's doing great? Woo you was that crazy? I would
say it. I don't feel like that.

Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
No, I would because no matter because no, because no
matter what the person does, Like say, if the person
got more money than the person that you just left,
the X, go on say something negative about their personality?
Are they not a good person? Like like they're gonna
find a flaw in whoever you move on to. Ain't
nobody gonna be like, yeah, man, did.

Speaker 14 (01:16:48):
If you're in a good place about where you are now,
you don't have you don't lean back on the herd.
I'm gonna through so much with my ex, and I
still say he's a great person. Gonna happen to somebody.

Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
I ain't talking about you. I'm talking about the X.
It's about the level up. Yes, I'm talking about the
person you left. The person you left ain't gonna be like, yeah,
she's doing better with the person better.

Speaker 14 (01:17:06):
Than me, you know, he talking?

Speaker 7 (01:17:09):
Well, we got right here?

Speaker 4 (01:17:10):
Hello?

Speaker 7 (01:17:10):
Who's this right?

Speaker 5 (01:17:11):
Right?

Speaker 7 (01:17:12):
Man?

Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
Now you set your EX leveled up on you?

Speaker 25 (01:17:14):
No?

Speaker 10 (01:17:14):
No, no, no, no, I leveled up of course.

Speaker 4 (01:17:17):
So what happened he's coming out? Of course?

Speaker 17 (01:17:20):
Oh no.

Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
When I was with her, she used to always be like,
always why I gotta do women duties and cleaning all
that and go, you know, have.

Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
For spending some money on bills. She used to be like,
find somebody to do that and then get back to me.

Speaker 10 (01:17:33):
And then when I broke up with somebody that looked better,
get back to it.

Speaker 17 (01:17:41):
Did I get back to it?

Speaker 5 (01:17:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 17 (01:17:42):
Hell yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
Would you say founder rounder and send the picture?

Speaker 13 (01:17:51):
Ye?

Speaker 6 (01:17:53):
Hello?

Speaker 7 (01:17:53):
Hello, who's this?

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
What's your name?

Speaker 19 (01:17:56):
My name is Ivy?

Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
And now your X leveled up on you?

Speaker 19 (01:18:00):
No, I level it up on my ast.

Speaker 31 (01:18:05):
What happened we were involved in a drunk driver accident.
So we ended up breaking up before the court date,
so I support date. I pulled up in that bend
and he didn't have no car and I ad for
a ride.

Speaker 12 (01:18:19):
He was like yeah, and I drove off.

Speaker 1 (01:18:23):
Cast your question, why did y'all bring up before the
court date? Because you can't snitch on your boyfriend because
I know you went there and told what happened.

Speaker 7 (01:18:27):
I know you told her he was.

Speaker 31 (01:18:31):
No heated on me and he didn't think that I found.

Speaker 4 (01:18:35):
Out, But I found out, damn well, And what did
you tell on him in court? Though?

Speaker 31 (01:18:42):
No, we were We weren't on the same side in
court because somebody hit us.

Speaker 4 (01:18:45):
Okay, okay, rush away.

Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
She got she got cheated on, you hung.

Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
That's exactly how Envy was treating Gary on rushing the
out to the studio. Why do you mean doing other people?

Speaker 5 (01:19:01):
Man?

Speaker 10 (01:19:03):
Hello?

Speaker 7 (01:19:04):
Who's this?

Speaker 5 (01:19:05):
Hi?

Speaker 14 (01:19:05):
Molan?

Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
This is Alano now Amanda in a note that says
you leveled up on your Indian man?

Speaker 5 (01:19:11):
What?

Speaker 20 (01:19:13):
I don't know?

Speaker 18 (01:19:15):
That's funny, but I absoutely did.

Speaker 6 (01:19:18):
I haven't.

Speaker 4 (01:19:18):
Okay.

Speaker 18 (01:19:20):
I lost twenty seven family members, not in an accident.
I lost them because They didn't want to talk to me,
my younger cousins, older cousins, my entire family because I
decided to try a different type of relationship. I decided
to be with an African American man. When I did that,

(01:19:41):
my family said no, they didn't want.

Speaker 10 (01:19:44):
Nothing to do with that.

Speaker 18 (01:19:46):
At that time, I was married, I was in the
middle of a divorce. I was still legally married, but
I had left left the house I had.

Speaker 19 (01:19:54):
I left.

Speaker 18 (01:19:54):
I had Spanish friends who were telling me I shouldn't
be living the way I was living, you know, like
my ex husband wouldn't allow me to have friends, or
like if I tried to go out with my cousins,
I couldn't go out with them. They could come to
my house. And I had a pretty house, but I
used to call it a pretty.

Speaker 20 (01:20:12):
Little jail cell.

Speaker 19 (01:20:13):
That's what I used to call it.

Speaker 6 (01:20:14):
Really, I know.

Speaker 18 (01:20:15):
And I was just stuck in that situation. And my
friends that I kept for years, like in secrecy, kept
female friends in secrecy, were like, no, uh uh, you're
live in America. You should not be with this person.
I don't care, like I don't care about the background.
They just kept telling me, if this is wrong, So
he made over.

Speaker 19 (01:20:35):
One hundred and fifty thousand dollars at that time.

Speaker 14 (01:20:38):
That was a long time ago.

Speaker 18 (01:20:39):
It was talking about ten years ago. So my family
did not want me to leave this man. They wanted
me to stay with him, and it just got really bad.
Abuse and everything else played a.

Speaker 31 (01:20:50):
Big part into it.

Speaker 18 (01:20:52):
So at that time I started, I started going to
school in secrecy like the internet had just did the
online school, and started doing all these things behind his
back that would level me up. Long story short, I
met an African American guy and he became my husband,
and I've been with him for thirteen years now and we.

Speaker 10 (01:21:12):
Live the same life.

Speaker 18 (01:21:13):
Both of us are in the medical field. And long
story short about my ex husband, he's a piece he's
just he's a.

Speaker 8 (01:21:20):
Piece of garbage.

Speaker 18 (01:21:21):
He has no job. The job that he used to
flow in my face for one hundred and fifty thousand
that made him so high up in the world. He
no longer has it. They fired him for stealing it.
Is so much so I leveled up in many ways,
and I think my success to my current husband, who
helping through school, who helped me through everything. Guys like

(01:21:45):
this is a real story and it's a beautiful story.

Speaker 4 (01:21:48):
What about your family?

Speaker 10 (01:21:49):
Now?

Speaker 4 (01:21:49):
Has your family accepted him? After thirteen years?

Speaker 18 (01:21:52):
They won't speak to me. I'm agian. They think that
being with a black man is just the wrongest way.
I'll never forget. One of my family members who I
love beer and near, told me I'm gonna get ads.

Speaker 4 (01:22:05):
Like that.

Speaker 6 (01:22:08):
Going to fall because will be even like, no, they're
they're wrong.

Speaker 18 (01:22:15):
They're all wrong.

Speaker 31 (01:22:15):
And I mean this.

Speaker 18 (01:22:17):
I know, I'm on the radio.

Speaker 22 (01:22:19):
Who I mean this?

Speaker 18 (01:22:21):
They all think like that, I really mean this. They
do like all the older generation that if you bring
up a black man home, but it's so weird. I
can bring a Chinese man home and they'll mess with him.
They'll oh, this is a great guy, blah blah blah.
But the moment I set foot in that house with
African American mass, I'm gonna get this. That and the

(01:22:43):
third every STV that's whatever in the books.

Speaker 4 (01:22:47):
They believe, they believe all the stereotypes about black people. Now, listen,
have you ever.

Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
Said mom, and have you ever told your mom and
your aunt, look, he's a great man and he has
a huge penis.

Speaker 4 (01:22:57):
Do you think that.

Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
Now?

Speaker 7 (01:23:00):
I tried.

Speaker 12 (01:23:00):
I tried.

Speaker 18 (01:23:01):
I said I've never this man has never hit me.
This man has never put a mark on me. I've
been with him for thirteen years. This man has never
ever hit me.

Speaker 9 (01:23:10):
Ever, Charlamagne cares more about did you tell your parents
about his penis? That's what Charlamage's asking.

Speaker 4 (01:23:15):
I didn't even say. I didn't say anything about that.

Speaker 7 (01:23:18):
Never mind, thank you.

Speaker 9 (01:23:19):
I'm sorry I didn't even say that that you did crazy.
I'm sorry with that, and thank you for calling in
it and sharing your story.

Speaker 7 (01:23:25):
Mama.

Speaker 1 (01:23:26):
Yes, by the way, nobody is going to admit, yeah,
my ex leveled up. That's not how ego works.

Speaker 4 (01:23:34):
A person, especially a man, might say yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (01:23:37):
Lost a good one, but they're not gonna say I
lost a good one and she went and found somebody
better than me.

Speaker 2 (01:23:47):
Hello, who's this?

Speaker 6 (01:23:48):
Who was going on?

Speaker 17 (01:23:49):
Good morning?

Speaker 5 (01:23:52):
What's up? Brother?

Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
We're talking about being leveled up on now, somebody leveled up,
leveled up on you.

Speaker 19 (01:23:57):
Yeah, sure, she leveled up on me about good morning, everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:24:02):
That morning, Good morning. I never thought we would find
somebody like you. The floor is yours, tell us.

Speaker 20 (01:24:08):
Oh, just be honest, man, it was just happened about
six seven years ago. I was younger, than her. Obviously
she older than me. Yeah, I didn't understand at the time, y'all.
So I pretty well was just holding her down, hold
her back, not trying to do.

Speaker 8 (01:24:22):
The best of I ad Now I'm doing better myself.

Speaker 20 (01:24:24):
But she did level up on a crib on sight.

Speaker 1 (01:24:29):
No no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no time abut telling me that's not what I'm saying.
You said she leveled up on you and she got
a crib. I'm talking about the man that she's with.
Is the man she with now better than you?

Speaker 20 (01:24:40):
Oh no, I would think you.

Speaker 6 (01:24:44):
You just think that.

Speaker 5 (01:24:47):
You mean what you mean.

Speaker 17 (01:24:48):
I can't say.

Speaker 1 (01:24:49):
I don't know how he No, no, no, no, I
understand what you said. You would proved my point. It's like,
no man's going to admit that another man is better
than him. You saying that she level up in life,
meaning she got a car in the house and stuff,
now oh.

Speaker 6 (01:25:03):
Yeah, hell yeah yeah, but but not nothing about the
guy that she with, though he not better than you.

Speaker 10 (01:25:09):
I would.

Speaker 14 (01:25:13):
I just got to say, in your books, your first one,
don't you talk about your like something but a bigger
penis or something.

Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
Penis don't mean bigger penis. Don't mean he better than me.

Speaker 14 (01:25:25):
I'm just saying so you've been leveled up on before
she spent the.

Speaker 1 (01:25:31):
Block though, you know, damn like what he he just
had a bigger penis crazy, just like this women, I'm
sure that you know.

Speaker 4 (01:25:41):
Never mind, go ahead, go ahead. I don't want to
hurt your feeling. I don't want to hurt lawrence feelings
on this fine Friday.

Speaker 14 (01:25:49):
What's got any of you want to fine Friday?

Speaker 4 (01:25:51):
Okay, I will say what I want to say.

Speaker 14 (01:25:54):
Go ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:25:55):
Now, one of lawrence exes left Lauren for a white woman.
Oh no, Lawrence built like a white woman. That's because
Lauren built like a white woman. So why why have
a second rate version of something?

Speaker 21 (01:26:05):
Just go to.

Speaker 14 (01:26:10):
You're so mad that my body beat team? That's number one. Wow,
because your waste don't be giving.

Speaker 6 (01:26:15):
Him not a thing?

Speaker 4 (01:26:17):
You talking about waste. I know you're not talking about.

Speaker 14 (01:26:21):
Waste because it's don't be there. This is ain't nobody
leave me for nothing when he stumbled upon after me
and got nothing to.

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
Do with me.

Speaker 14 (01:26:32):
Still, but the caller say, his function is his function.
I'm over here in mind.

Speaker 4 (01:26:37):
You have to rely.

Speaker 1 (01:26:40):
Can I say one more thing say one more things,
one more thing, go ahead, go Lauren built like Wendy Williams.

Speaker 2 (01:26:47):
Yo, you know what talking about?

Speaker 17 (01:26:51):
We got the.

Speaker 7 (01:26:54):
Young This is a get.

Speaker 5 (01:27:00):
It was bad.

Speaker 23 (01:27:01):
It was traumatized on her bill.

Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
It's the Breakfast the Moonic, the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 4 (01:27:12):
Morning.

Speaker 2 (01:27:12):
Everybody is d J n V just hilarious. Charlamagne the guy.
We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to pass the auks.

Speaker 5 (01:27:31):
Yeah, d J comes.

Speaker 13 (01:27:35):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Ny had a long night? She got sunglasses on.

Speaker 30 (01:27:40):
I'm gonna say the sunglasses aren't because I'm trying to
be cool.

Speaker 23 (01:27:43):
They're like the the p O V Blu ray is
it the you got the camera and so like some
little POV content like okay on the radio, that.

Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
Damn lie but I let you rock? What do you
mean like that?

Speaker 7 (01:27:56):
There you go?

Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
Now I can see the light.

Speaker 23 (01:27:58):
Oh my god, Why what I lie about that?

Speaker 6 (01:28:00):
That's so silly?

Speaker 30 (01:28:01):
But okay, let's get into the music. This week, j
I D dropped the project. It's called God Does Like Ugly.
This is his fourth studio album and has features from
Tidals on Earth Game, Sierra, Vince Staples, The Vince Staple
One's Crazy, and a clip a Clipse record.

Speaker 23 (01:28:16):
That's crazy too.

Speaker 30 (01:28:16):
But I want to get into the Sierra record because
it's a it's a really big record. It feels good
and it's called Skates for J I D that's fire
and you.

Speaker 4 (01:28:26):
Know what that'd be?

Speaker 6 (01:28:28):
That should be the theme song for your nineteen and
ninety now party.

Speaker 24 (01:28:31):
Hello.

Speaker 6 (01:28:33):
Yes, it's definitely giving that.

Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
Yes, what.

Speaker 4 (01:28:38):
Temple was that to?

Speaker 1 (01:28:39):
It's a certain temple that just make a person over
forty five just can't stop?

Speaker 4 (01:28:42):
Is that like?

Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
It's like between I would say between one twenty five
and forty temple.

Speaker 4 (01:28:47):
Yeah, dang, realize you're back in your knees. Ain't what
they used to be exactly?

Speaker 17 (01:28:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 30 (01:28:57):
Way, Yeah, shout out to J. He was doing a
dollar in the dream tours he did for his last fund.
Was in Atlanta yesterday. He did the New York one
on Tuesday that I was at and it was phenomenal
and metro Booman's listening party was actually really dope too.

Speaker 23 (01:29:11):
I went in person to see, you know, if feeling
it in.

Speaker 30 (01:29:13):
Real time would make me like the project a little more,
And I would say, there's like three records I do
actually like, but still not my favorite project from him.

Speaker 23 (01:29:22):
But anyway, keeping it Atlanta.

Speaker 30 (01:29:24):
Gunna just dropped his project after announcing his project on Monday,
and fans have been speculating that this is going to
be his last project on YSL, hence the name that
last one. But it has features from Berna, Boy, Whiz Kidsake,
and Offset. But I'm gonna get into this joint with
Bernard called WGFT.

Speaker 6 (01:29:41):
I'm trying to catch the beat and.

Speaker 23 (01:29:43):
You know that part, there was a lot going on
in that selected part.

Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
Yeah, that was a that was a bad selection that part.

Speaker 7 (01:29:48):
But soundope though, Yeah, I was playing No.

Speaker 1 (01:29:52):
I was just saying, I listened to you played Jed,
and I listened to Gunna, and it just makes me wonder,
what is the sound of Atlanta now? Like like I
think of like the Offset Bodies record, and it seems
like they're making these big global sounding records, like it's
not for the script clubs anymore and more for like
the stadiums in the festivals.

Speaker 30 (01:30:09):
Yeah, I definitely can agree with that, the fact that
both of them are two different ends of Atlanta, but
two different sounds. I think Gunna is going definitely global
with all these African features on his project, but also
did too like he has a joint on his project
with Jesse Rayes where he's rapping in Spanish. So like,
I think that's just like where we're at now, especially

(01:30:30):
both of them, like in their career, they're at a
point where they can do stuff like this.

Speaker 5 (01:30:34):
But I like it.

Speaker 23 (01:30:35):
And then the last one is Baby Chief Do It.
He's been going viral all year.

Speaker 30 (01:30:39):
People have been comparing him to Riley, saying that he's
like the real life version of Riley.

Speaker 23 (01:30:44):
Baby Chief, Baby Chief.

Speaker 6 (01:30:46):
Okay, Baby Chief, Baby Chief do it.

Speaker 23 (01:30:49):
Baby, that's funny. But he's from Chicago and this record
has been going viral. It's called went West. All right,
all right, that might be for Thewaiians.

Speaker 6 (01:30:59):
Yeah, okay, cool, that ain't for unk right there, you
know what I'm saying, salute the Baby Chief do It.

Speaker 4 (01:31:05):
But that ain't for that.

Speaker 1 (01:31:06):
Ain't that makes that makes the corners, That makes the
corners all levels in my body start going up. And
I started looking around, like, wait, the little Wayians with
the ski mask.

Speaker 30 (01:31:18):
In somewhere, all right, Okay, fine, well, yes, shout out
to Baby Chief. He's he's I just recently interviewed him
on my podcast, and he's actually like really smart and
he's super young, but he's still a teenager, so I
think he has a bright future ahead.

Speaker 23 (01:31:31):
Of him looking forward to that. But I do have
an announcement.

Speaker 30 (01:31:35):
I'm super excited to invite you guys to the Echo,
which is going to be a rap night, power by
a certified vibe, no Hollywood behavior, no bottle service, just
good energy and real hip hop. So we're gonna be
bridging the gaps from the ogs to the new wave.
But the night curated by Me, Static Select the Ninth
Wonder and Rob Markman, and the idea of it is

(01:31:57):
just to like create a space for is to pull
up and just wrap, you know, like we want to
touch people who are fans of rap, and we want
to have a cool space, kind of like lyricist lounge
back in the day.

Speaker 23 (01:32:07):
So if you guys are okay.

Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
Okay, I thought you were talking about the music, Okay. No,
I thought I would be somewhere. I hear Baby Chief
do it, and then I hear you know, like new addition,
and I'm like, I don't know if.

Speaker 4 (01:32:18):
I want to be there.

Speaker 23 (01:32:19):
No, no, no, We're not that broad in the spectrum.
It's just it's going to be a a rap night.

Speaker 30 (01:32:25):
So you'll hear a Tribe, you'll hear j I. D,
you'll hear clips, but you'll also hear Nico brim coy Cash.
So we're just trying to bridge the gaps together. So
if you guys are interested, definitely go to Certified vibe
dot com. Get you a ticket. While you're there, definitely
tap into the certified playlist if you like the records
that you heard today. And then also while you're over there,
it makes you, guys check out my new interview with

Speaker 7 (01:32:57):
Do it make me want to go buy a dog?

Speaker 4 (01:32:58):
I'm scared a dog?

Speaker 7 (01:33:01):
Are you stupid?

Speaker 23 (01:33:02):
You got a dog?

Speaker 7 (01:33:03):
A couple?

Speaker 11 (01:33:04):
Oh wow?

Speaker 6 (01:33:05):
Yeah, see I'm flexing with the dogs on Shaver. Oh yeah,
that's right. You didn't see it because he never showed
the dogs. He showed his house.

Speaker 9 (01:33:12):
I'm screaming, gets your request and we throw it back
on the Friday's The Breakfast Club Go Morning.

Speaker 2 (01:33:21):
You're checking out The Breakfast Club Morning everybody. It's DJ Envy,
just hilarious, Charlamagne the guy.

Speaker 9 (01:33:28):
