Speaker 2 (03:55):
Me's here, so we're kicking with me.

Speaker 9 (03:56):
Me.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Let's get in some front page news.

Speaker 7 (03:59):
What something me?

Speaker 10 (04:00):
Me?

Speaker 5 (04:01):
What's up? Good morning, y'all.

Speaker 11 (04:03):
How you doing, Mary?

Speaker 7 (04:05):
Good?

Speaker 11 (04:05):
Good morning?

Speaker 12 (04:06):
All right, So let's start with news out of Chicago
this morning, where officials are racing for a major federal
immigration enforcement operation that could.

Speaker 11 (04:14):
Begin as soon as this week.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Now.

Speaker 11 (04:16):
Over the weekend, the.

Speaker 12 (04:17):
City's mayor, Brandon Johnson signed an executive order making it
clear that Chicago police will not participate in federal immigration raids.

Speaker 11 (04:25):
Let's listen to what he had to say.

Speaker 13 (04:27):
This order affirms that the Chicago Police Department will not
collaborate with military personnel on police patrols or civil immigration enforcement.
This order affirms the CPD officers will be directed to
wear CPD uniforms and refrain from wearing masks so that
residents can clearly distinguish them from federal agents. We do

(04:50):
not want to see tanks in our streets. We do
not want to see families ripped apart. We do not
want grandmothers thrown into the back of unmarked banks. We
don't want to see homeless Chicagoans harassed or disappeared by
federal agents. We don't want to see Chicagoans arrested for
sitting on their porch. That's not who we are as

(05:12):
a city, and that's not who we are as a nation.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
So question, is there a difference between federal immigration offices
and ICE? I thought ICE was federal immigration offices.

Speaker 11 (05:22):
It's the same thing, is okay?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah? And no local law enforcement? Of course, the country
is joining in with ICE.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Right everybody's basically saying, ICE, you on your own or
are local enforcement helping.

Speaker 12 (05:33):
I'm glad you asked that because that's what's coming up next.
Because Homeland Security Secretary of Christi Nomes, she confirmed this
weekend on Face the Nation that the Trump administration plans
who expand those ICE operations and that they are working
with some local cities and governments.

Speaker 11 (05:47):
And let's listen to what Christy Nome had to say.

Speaker 14 (05:50):
I think there's a lot of cities that are dealing
with crime and violence right now, and so we haven't
taken anything off the table. We've been making sure that
we have the resources and the equipment to go in.
We've been working to partner with every single agency that
we can We have hundreds and hundreds of agreements with
local law enforcements, sheriffs, a city administrators and mayors across

(06:12):
the country that want to solve problems. I'd encourage every
single big city San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, whatever they are,
if they want to help make their cities safer, more prosperous,
allow people the opportunity to walk in freedom, like the
people of Washington, DC are now and enjoying going out
to eat at night and not having to worry if
they're going to be a victim of a carjacking or

(06:33):
a robbery, they should call us because we will work
with anybody and do what we can to make sure
that we're upholding our constitution, upholding the law, but making
sure their families are safe.

Speaker 11 (06:45):
So this is so.

Speaker 12 (06:47):
President Trump has repeatedly criticized Chicago's leadership about the rising violence,
and despite reports that there's a twenty one percent drop
in overall violent crime and a thirty two percent drop
in homicides this year. But over the holiday weekend this
Labor Day holiday weekend, forty eight people were shot eight
fought fatally across Chicago, and so President Trump is using

(07:09):
that he posted on twenty on what was it true
social that twenty four people were shot in Chicago last weekend.

Speaker 11 (07:16):
I'm not even talking about this weekend.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
And JB.

Speaker 12 (07:18):
Pritzer, who was a governor, says he doesn't need help
fighting crime. Trump calls him crazy and says he better
straighten it out before they get there.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
It feels like they want to do in Chicago what
they did in DC. But now they are turning this
to an ice issue. So which is it? Is it
an immigration issue or a crime issue? Are they conflating
the two?

Speaker 12 (07:37):
I think they're conflating the two for sure, for sure.
And they're going after all major cities. They reports at
Boston maybe next, so we shall see. And so while
Chicago races for those federal raids, there are new growing
concerns this morning about the administration's impact on the nation's health.

Speaker 11 (07:56):
So nine former.

Speaker 12 (07:57):
Directors of the CDC are speaking out and they are
warning that political influence from Trump the Trump administration, the
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior, is
putting the nation at risk. And an op ed published
in the New York Times, the former directors, whose ten
years span from nineteen seventy seven to now, and all
who have served under both Republican and Democratic presidents warned

(08:20):
that Kennedy's control of health policy, funding and research is
unlike anything we have ever seen before, unlike anything our
country has ever experienced. Their essay cites several alarming key
decisions that Kennedy has made under his leadership, including firing
thousands of federal health workers, canceling five hundred million dollars
in mr INNA vaccine research, which is COVID nineteen research,

(08:43):
and removing all seventeen members of the CDC's Vaccine Advisory Committee,
placing them with his own appointees, all of which are
vaccine skeptic.

Speaker 11 (08:53):
People who hold those views.

Speaker 12 (08:55):
Doctor Richard Bessart, he is one of the co authors
of the op ed and a former actor CDC director.
This is what he had to say to ABC News
about the changes that he's making.

Speaker 15 (09:06):
What is happening at the CDC is not business as usual.
This is not just the change of an administration and
different priorities. We have a Secretary of Health who is
a strong ideologue. He came in as one of the
nation's leading anti vaccine proponents, and he is step by
step dismantling an agency that is critical to health, the

(09:28):
health of everyone in America, in every single community.

Speaker 12 (09:33):
And so this warning is coming after they removed the
CDC director, doctor Susan Monteniez, last month, after she refused
to design to resign. The White House say she wasn't
aligned with their make America Healthy Again agenda. Now, following
her removal, they put in a senior a new senior official,
and he is a Silicone Valley investor. His name is

(09:54):
Jim O'Neill, and he has of course promoted unproven COVID
nineteen treatment and he has been named acting CDC director.
And so this week all eyes will be on Capitol
Hill as a Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy is scheduled
to testify before Congress, where he is expected to face
tough questions about his leadership and the growing turmoil inside

(10:15):
the CDC.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
All right, well, thank you, Mimi, you're.

Speaker 12 (10:19):
Welcome, and coming up at seven. They're growing concerns this
morning about the president's health. We're learning what the White
House is saying about that, and we'll talk about that next.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
We're gonna get into it now.

Speaker 20 (19:25):
In the first video, he talked about heading to Charleston,
South Carolina to sing in Bacari selling Boocari sellers vur renewals.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yes, Bookari sellers and ellen Seller's got they renewed their
vows this past Friday in Charleston, South Carolina.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
Yeah, did you know it was a journey for Tyres
to get there? Did you know.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Everything I didn't even know was gonna be there? Oh? Listen?

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Okay. He says that he was a surprise, So let's
take a listener.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
I don't even know it was a wedding renov until
I got there.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Was that a surprise for y'all too?

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Okay, Well, so Tyree talks about what hit your wife to.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Tell you to show up. It was a black tide
and they didn't tell us what it was fire. I
loved that.

Speaker 20 (19:58):
Well, okay, so Tyree's he got online on after he
got there and did his thing and talked about how
God was so good because he even made it there.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
Let's take a listen to Teres on God.

Speaker 22 (20:08):
I've been having some intimate and beautiful exchanges and moments
with God, and I know it's him. I know it's
him because it's impossible that something that I thought was
on the brink of destruction got turned around. I might
be handsome, I might have the gift of the gab.

(20:30):
I might live in this I might be an entertainer.
I might be all of these different things. But I
can't say that I'm responsible for that. I didn't fix that.
I'm not the reason I didn't file for bankruptcy just
last week. I'm not the reason that some way, somehow,
all of the legal fees that I owe my ex

(20:53):
somehow showed up.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
I'm good.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
I'm not that good now.

Speaker 20 (20:59):
Not only he's saying he's not that good, but he
talks about God saving him because when he was in
the airport to make it to South Carolina, the flight
almost didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
Let's SAYLD listen to him on missing the flight.

Speaker 22 (21:10):
My father just passed away. I went to Charleston, South
Carolina yesterday. It's a brother that's on CNN. He just
celebrated ten years of marriage. So he brought Bishop td
Jakes to Charleston, South Carolina to renew his vows. What

(21:30):
this beautiful this man paid me to go and sing
to his wife? Said, Tyrese is a favorite, sweet lady. Lately,
What am I gonna do? Stay my wife loves you, bro.
I just want to surprise her with you. I missed
my flight. I missed my flight, and I was like,
Bishop td Jakes is gonna be there.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
My father just died. Oh I can use the hug.

Speaker 22 (21:56):
From Jake's I need this so badly, but.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
I missed my flight.

Speaker 20 (22:00):
Now, he says he he says he got the So
this is what happened, he says. A woman in the
red jacket Dulto walks up to him, tells him that
he got the flight they put him on. He's in
certainty thirty to upgrade him the first class. He makes it,
he's able to sing. And when he gets there, TD
Jakes was actually waiting for him five hours later.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
Let's say listen, I.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Knew Bishop Jakes was gone. There ain't no way Bischop
Jakes is still there. What he did and what he
was supposed to do was five hours ago.

Speaker 22 (22:27):
I was like, oh, man, I really wanted to see him,
really wanted this man to pray for me, pray over me.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Sew my plane land.

Speaker 23 (22:34):
He said, hey, TDD, I said, what, Bishop Jakes is
still here. I said, what, Yeah, he's waiting on you.
Him and his wife, they said they want to see you.
They want to pray for you, they want to pray
over you. And then he'd waiting for five hours. He
knew you mischief flight, he knew you wanted to see him.
What he was there to do is already over.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
You're not lying because bits of tvjs definitely came up
to me and asked me have I seen tyrese him?
I was like, I was, excuse me, Bishop, I didn't
know what.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
And just so you know, Saturday in Atlanta, the airports
had a major problem the train Friday.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
It was Friday or I think having Friday.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
The train systems were down, so you know the train,
so you go to walk. So a lot of my
friends missed their flights to day supposed to cousins festivals.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Like yeah, so it was. It was bad Atlanta Friday, Saturday.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
I do want to drop on the clues bombs for
Tyree because boy, that brother can sing. Like we always
know tyreseea talent and we know you can sing. But
I hadn't heard Tyree's live in a long time. And
to see Tyree's on stage in such an intimate setting
with no background singers and just my man DJ Puff
Happy Born Day, DJ Puff.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
DJ Puff was just.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Playing the instrumentals and Tyreesee was singing over him. Phenomenal job.
He still sounds amazing.

Speaker 20 (23:48):
Yes, well, yeah, and he made it there and he
was able to see Uh.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
He also talked about you. He just mentioned you real quick.

Speaker 20 (23:53):
He said he saw you and your beautiful wife and
it was just a great time because it was what
he needed.

Speaker 8 (23:57):
Man.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
Butcari and Ellen had an amazing and amazing wedding renewal
on on on Friday.

Speaker 20 (24:04):
Yes, yeah, we talked about up here too. When he
went to surprises Dad, remember he did that. It was
like they hadn't seen each other in some years. And
with surprising oh yes album too, Yes, that was another
part of it. Beautiful Yes, and dropped album. It's like
the cousin what's the other what's the album before that
was beautiful Yes, it's the cousin of beautiful Pain. He

(24:25):
dropped it while he was in the airport or sort
of something like that, like he was submitting it for
the Grammys while he was in the airport.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
They didn't think that they would make it. They ended
up making it, and then he.

Speaker 20 (24:33):
Made it the Charleston, South Carolina to drop well, he
just he said he was mixing mastering it in the airport.
I don't know if it's out right now. I know
it made the Grammy submissions though, Okay, yes.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Major, the recording is major. He's saying that the car
wasn't too. He was phenomenal.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
Is he a rock artist? I don't know, performed then whatever?

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 20 (25:01):
Has been looking for Mary j Blige, remember, because he
was trying to do a song with her. But that's
one thing God didn't work out for him. Let's say
lit't sen Tory j Blige.

Speaker 24 (25:09):
I tried my best to get married j Blige on
both songs, or she passed on it. It's okay, I
feel a way about it. I'm heard. I'm really hurt.
I can't lie. I was more so heard about her
passing on the song because like a mad scientist, I
went into the studio and when I tell you, I

(25:30):
customize this song, I.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Made this tailor made for Mary.

Speaker 24 (25:38):
And if y'all can get this message to marry you,
my Capricorn sister, I don't even think you understand how.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Much I love you.

Speaker 24 (25:45):
You are just so one of a kind, your heart,
your soul, your compassion, loyal to a default at times
I love you. I'm disappointed that you didn't do my song,
but so much equity over all these years.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
I ain't gonna hold that to you.

Speaker 20 (26:05):
Yeah, he had been looking for for some time. But
that a woman is out now Mary.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
You said no, She said no, Tyre, you don't know
what Mary got going on in her life.

Speaker 5 (26:16):
Let her be, He said, I hold it against her.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
But but you did that video because you want everybody
to go harass her basically on our page and say no.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
The time, speaking the time.

Speaker 20 (26:28):
Oh, so this is beyond measure. So this is Kelsey Ashley.
She's a black woman designer. This is a part of
her collection. So her beyond measure is all about being
powerful beyond measure.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Thought of your boyfriends.

Speaker 5 (26:42):
That are holding him down?

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Stuff going, I thought you. One of her boyfriend was like, wait,
this is proved that I got you on locker.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
There's not one of my boyfriend's. There's one person.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
One person, say his name, say his name. That looks
like one is around me. Do that? That's oh, that's
definitely you want to be one to Dixice pit Bull so.

Speaker 20 (27:03):
Bad, I want to make a video. I'm going to
sit like because I got some things to get off.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
Video make a video hold and said it's pit Bull
Starter Kit's.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
Album is out now.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
It is give it what painful?

Speaker 4 (27:21):
The beautiful chain on your neck look painfully beautiful.

Speaker 20 (27:26):
It is heavy. Yes, it's a real dog chain things.
I don't know if it's a dog chain really, but yeah,
like it's meant to be.

Speaker 5 (27:35):
We're breaking the chains and the boundary set on us measure.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
You need to tell your stylis we is free you don't.
That is the latest we got front page news. I'm
going to join you because I just it's.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
The breakfast warning. Everybody is d j n V just hilarious.
Charlamagne the guy, we are the breakfast we love. Let's
get back in some front page news.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
What up?

Speaker 10 (28:02):
Meaning what's up?

Speaker 11 (28:03):
Y'all?

Speaker 12 (28:04):
All right, So there are big changes ahead for former
VP Kamala Harris after President Trump.

Speaker 11 (28:09):
Abruptly pulled her Secret Service protection.

Speaker 12 (28:12):
Harris will now be protected by the California Highway Patrol
That This move comes after Trump signed an order last
week ending her detail. As of Monday, Harris had been
granted an extension by President Joe Biden through July.

Speaker 11 (28:26):
Of twenty twenty six.

Speaker 12 (28:27):
Now without that extension, her security would have ended just
six months after leaving office, as it does for every
vice president.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Now.

Speaker 12 (28:35):
Following the announcement, Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor
Karen Bass they met to discuss Harris's safety at her
Los Angeles home. Newsom's office did not confirm details, saying
they don't comment on security arrangements, but the governor did
release a statement saying the safety of our public officials
should never be subject to erratic, vindictive political impulses. Now,

(28:56):
the California Highway Patrol they have a Protective Service DIVISI,
which will now handle her security. It's the same specialized
unit that protects the governor, other state ride officials, and
visiting dignitaries. Now, the timing comes just weeks before Harris
begins a fifteen stop international book tour to promote her
book It's called one hundred and seven Days, which details

(29:18):
her one hundred and seven Days presidential campaign following President
Biden's exit from the twenty twenty four race.

Speaker 11 (29:24):
Now stopped or planned.

Speaker 12 (29:25):
In London, Toronto, and several US cities, but it still
remains unclear whether the CHP will protect her beyond California.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Listen, that's crazy. I think that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
It's actually ice cold, especially being that you know, like
you said me and Donald Trump knows she's going on
her book tour. But I personally believe that Israeli trained
security is some of the best security in the world,
if not the best. So I feel like APAK should
pay for Vice President Kamala Harrison's security for all that
elected officials have done for Israel, for all that of

(29:59):
a PAC invest in elected officials in our country, I
feel like APEAK should pay.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
For Vice President Kamala Harris's security for sure.

Speaker 11 (30:09):
Just switching gears a little bit.

Speaker 12 (30:11):
There are new questions this morning too about President Trump's health.

Speaker 11 (30:15):
I don't know if you guys.

Speaker 12 (30:15):
Saw this, but he posted a week old photo of himself.

Speaker 11 (30:18):
Golfing now that happened over the weekend, and then.

Speaker 12 (30:21):
He shared the photo on true social He posted it
of him and an NFL coach, John Gruden, writing great
playing golf with him, A really nice guy.

Speaker 11 (30:30):
True character.

Speaker 12 (30:31):
But online users they quickly pointed out that that photo
was taking taken August twenty third, and not the day
he said it. He took it this weekend, so that
Field claims that the White House, maybe trying to manage
perceptions about the president's health. Now, this post came after
speculation on social media where users noted that Trump hadn't
been seen publicly for several days, and by Saturday afternoon,

(30:54):
trump health was the top search topic on Google and
where is Donald Trump was being on x now over
the weekend past spectators they questioned how well Trump may
be and after the persistent bruising was spot in on
the back of his hand, and then rumors have further
grown since Vice President Jade Vance he told USA Today

(31:16):
and that he was prepared to step in as commander
in chief should anything happen.

Speaker 11 (31:20):
He gave that interview. Let's listen to what he had
to say during that interview.

Speaker 6 (31:24):
The President is an incredibly good health, He's got incredible energy.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
And while most of the people who work.

Speaker 6 (31:30):
Around the President of United States are younger than he is,
I think that we find that he actually is the
last person who goes to sleep, He's the last person
making phone calls at night, and he's the first person
who wakes up with the first person making phone calls
in the morning. So, yes, things can always happen. Yes,
terrible tragedies happened, but I feel very confident that President
of the United States is in good shape, is going

(31:51):
to serve out the remainder of his term and do
great things for the American people. And if God forbid
there's a terrible tragedy, I can't think of better on
the job training than what I've gotten over the last
two hundred days.

Speaker 12 (32:00):
So despite all this scrutiny Trump, of course, he's been
active online. He posted dozens of messages on true social
over the week and including new calls in mail and voting,
declaring Washington, DC as a crime free zone.

Speaker 11 (32:12):
He also wrote that he's never felt better in his life.

Speaker 12 (32:15):
And I checked the White House public schedule. The President
is expected to make an announcement this afternoon in the
Oval Office at two pm, so I'm sure people will
be watching to see him there. And finally, switching gears.
While we'll be watching that announcement, I wanted to talk
a little bit. I'm Charlemagne. I want to talk about
something you were a part of this weekend. The International
African American Museum in Charleston. They hosted a free Labor

(32:38):
Day event called Vibes on the Yard and thanks to
the Black Effect podcast network and Charlemagne families got free
admission to the museum all day.

Speaker 11 (32:46):
Yes, could you tell us a little bit about it.

Speaker 12 (32:49):
It was the celebration of culture and there was music
and local vendors and the line was wrapped around the building.

Speaker 7 (32:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
I mean, you know, when I heard, you know, President Trump,
you know, say what he said about the smith Stone
and you know, you know, just how museums need to
be changed to reflect accurate history in America, I was like, well,
they already do reflect accurate history in America. And I
just started thinking about the International African American Museum, which
I am on the board of in Charleston, South Carolina. So,
you know, I just hit up doctor Tanya Matthews, who's

(33:17):
the CEO down there, and just you know, thought about
some things that we could do. And I knew that
they were having the yard party on Monday, so I'm
just like, yo, why don't have sponsor free admission? And
so that's what we did, and you know, a lot
a lot of people came out there yesterday. So I
hope that they enjoyed themselves, and I hope some people
left and became members of the International African American Museum.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
I want to become members.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
So if you are ever in Charleston, South Carolina, you
should go visit the.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
International African American Museum.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
It is on Gatsam's Wharf and I forgot the exact number,
but damn their half of all enslaved Africans who came
in America came through that port where the museum is built,
so you should definitely go visit.

Speaker 11 (33:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (33:56):
I saw that it was forty percent of enslaved Africans
arrived at that port Shawlah, so.

Speaker 11 (34:03):
Very very interesting.

Speaker 12 (34:03):
And then they're also doing a road to five hundred
thousand campaign which they want to welcome half a million visitors.

Speaker 11 (34:10):
By the end of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
So yes, a right, So please go to IAA Museum
dot org for more information on the International African American Museum.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Man beautiful, beautiful facility.

Speaker 11 (34:22):
It is absolutely check that out.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
All right, y'all?

Speaker 12 (34:26):
Well, thank you that is your front page news I

and for more coverage, follow the Black Information Network or
download the free iHeartRadio app and visit bi nnews dot com.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Thank you, all right, Sean Tomorrow all right.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
When we come back. Coach k and Mel Carter will
be joining us. They are the largest black control franchise
the ease in Bojangles history. And we'll talk to the nest,
so don't move. It's to Breakfast Club. Morning, the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 25 (34:56):
Good morning everybody.

Speaker 5 (34:57):
It's DJ n V.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Just hilarious.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Cholmon the guy we are the Breakfast Club. Lorla Rosa
is here as well. We got some special guests.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
In the building.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
Yes, indeed, we got Coach Kine has been up here
several times, and we got the brother of Alacarta.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Welcome, thank you, thank you. It's my first time. Yeah,
first time here.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Now if they don't know who you are, you want
to break down who you are and what you've done
in this industry.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Me man, long time coming.

Speaker 26 (35:20):
I did music for twenty years, ten of it for
free and then I got paid for the other And
I used to be the senior vice president of A
and R Republic Records. Went over to Warner after that
for three years, and I just left Wanner like it's
the first time saying it.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
I'm leaving Warner. Why why are you starting your only thing?

Speaker 26 (35:44):
I saw right starting I started signing different second Estate.
Second State was a joint venture at Warner. I was
doing that in consult for their and our team. Starting
sign in the streamer space, I started managing this kid
named Rod.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
He just did uh subbotine in the American Dream Mall.

Speaker 26 (36:03):
He did thirty days, thirty nights slip there, and I
just really liked that space. So I'm doing that and
just focus on these restaurants for real, for you know
what I'm saying, But that's really it. Just focus on
this new company and focus on hopefully turning these restaurants
into one hundred restaurants in the next five years.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
You said A and R. Yeah, right.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
I feel like A and R doesn't exist anymore. And
both of you brothers came from a place where y'all
were strong and rs for your artists.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Does A and R exist anymore? Do we need A
and RS?

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Because it seems like the music is just getting trashed.
There's no guidances.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
I think we need A and R. That's the problem. Yep.

Speaker 7 (36:38):
You know, they got rid of artists development and started
everybody start treating the music like stockbrokers, you know what
I'm saying, and chasing a number, number, number, and you know,
and that became now labels, I should say, chase songs
instead of building and developed artists. You know what I'm saying.
Once you build it, you build it, you build a artist,
it turns into a brand. And you know that's how

(36:59):
you know we q see like I studied, We studied
the Motowns and you know the Russells and you know
those labels, And I think it needs to come back.
I think that's the problem. It's oversaturated and nobody's like
Bill Stars.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Now you don't know who Coach K is.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Coach K The first time I met the Muse with
GZ then one of the creators and owners of QC
that brought all the slash Yati Gucci. He did Gucci
back in the day, Bud he brought city girls, migos,
I mean just a host of them. But they actually
built from the ground up. These artists didn't have hits
at the time. You guys worked and created the hits
and created what y'all wanted to do, which we don't

(37:38):
see anymore.

Speaker 6 (37:39):
You know.

Speaker 26 (37:39):
One of the things that got me and I love
Republic Record, shout out to Manti and Avery, but it
became this like you don't really need A and R
no more. You know how many kids I flew to
New York City because they had a song that was trending,
and by day three the song was going down and
I had to just explain to them, we don't want
to do to deal no more, you know what I'm saying.

(38:00):
So it's like you need A and R. But it's
such a research game now that it's kind of hard
to be at A and R because it's like you
could have an artist that's the best, and you like
you want to build them up, but a kid from
you know, Michigan, got something that's streaming. They don't even
have the song is they go after it. So like
that's why my coach and like QC and like the

(38:22):
last of that that's left for real, for real, that's
really in what's a dude name?

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Top Dog?

Speaker 26 (38:26):
Are they really still building artists, you know what I'm saying,
instead of just like chasing what's moving and it works.
And it's kind of like, I guess it could be
a better business model because you could develop an act
and they don't work. But a lot of it that
just start trending, they don't really go nowhere.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Also feel like you got to have those boutique labels
like the QC you need it, like the Top Dog,
because the reality is y'all care. They simply just don't care.
I look at like some of the last few releases
that came out.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
From people did fantastic album, All Still fantastic album, Tianna
Taylor fantastic album.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
But they don't even feel like a Vince. They feel
like if somebody just put it out there and did
did the minimal amount of work possible and now.

Speaker 26 (39:07):
But think about it, right, every artist that's big, let's
say the Top Two, Drake, Ken, Drake, Little Baby.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Every one of these acts came from a joint venture.

Speaker 26 (39:19):
So they had somebody in the middle, like a coach
who cared, you know what I'm saying, Like TV who
cared cash money. They had somebody who sat between the label.
It was like, Yo, we ain't gonna do that. We're
gonna do this. Like every success in Republic except for
Post Malone is through a joint venture.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Wayne Nikki, even Taylor.

Speaker 26 (39:40):
It's all joint ventures with somebody who was standing in
the middle who cared, you know what I'm saying. So
you need somebody who cared.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Can we drop a bomb for a little baby.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Man, little baby sells so many goddamn records, and it's
so quiet about it. He's like diamond twice, right, diamond twice,
and nobody talks about it. Is insane. You were telling
me the numbers earlier.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
I was pulling it up. So my turn is on Billboards.

Speaker 20 (40:04):
He's number one of the build Boards twenty the top
R and B and hip hop albums of the twenty
first century.

Speaker 5 (40:09):
When you saw that, how did you feel about it?

Speaker 7 (40:11):
I mean I felt I felt really good. But you know,
when we was making that album, I knew it was special,
you know what I'm saying. And what made it so
special is when the album dropped. It dropped February twenty twenty,
two weeks two weeks later, like the middle of February,
because like two weeks later the world crash, you know

(40:31):
what I'm saying, And it was it was like it
was really it was really a messed up time because
he didn't really get to go tour that album because
everybody was down for a year and a half basically,
you know what I'm saying. But it stood a test
of time up where like it was like every song
I was like damn, damn, damn, and it just kept
going to the point like right now, like freestyle seven

(40:54):
years later, it's just club.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
It was like that's his dreams.

Speaker 7 (40:58):
M yeah, Jesus, but yeah, it's it's you know, it's
a really good feeling. It's a really good feeling. That
body of work was a well put body of work,
you know what I'm saying. And he had been developed
over time, and you know, it's a good feeling.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
Did you think that he was gonna come with you know,
basically the soundtrack for that year with a song like
the Bigger Picture.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
When you think of all the artists that.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
You thought was gonna come and represent with music, Little
Baby was not on my Bengal car to come with
the record.

Speaker 7 (41:29):
You know what. It was crazy, you know what I'm saying.
Like he went in. I remember him doing a Bigger Picture,
you know. I remember he called us, was like, yeah,
I'm gonna do this record, you know what I'm saying.
He played it. I was like, oh man, this is
about to change the game. He's like he said, me
and Pete down and say, man, listen, I don't want
this to sit on my album. I want to sit
on I want to sit alone. I don't want to

(41:53):
make the money from this album, you know what I'm saying.
Because everybody kept you need to speak up, you need
to speak up, you need to speak up because he's
big in the community and they know he had a voice,
you know, talk to the kids. He was like, I
want this song, and we had to go to the label.
He was like, I want this song all the money
that it generates. I want this song. That money. I
wanted to go to charities, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Yea justice reform, criminal justice reform, yeah, everything, you know.

Speaker 7 (42:16):
And to go to the label like hey, this is
what we want to do, and they was like, yeah,
you know what I'm saying. But he was like I
don't even you know. Like that's how he because everybody's like,
we need you to come mar so we need to
come speak. He went and cut the record. He's like,
this is how I want to get my point across.
He was very vulnerable on the record, Like I hadn't
heard him that vulnerable, you know what I'm saying, and
let it out and then we gave it to the
world and boom.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
So y'all ain't make no money off that record.

Speaker 7 (42:38):
Nah, we donated it.

Speaker 5 (42:42):
The number was at like one point five million, Like
where is it now?

Speaker 2 (42:47):
We got that?

Speaker 20 (42:48):
Man, I don't think people understand the impact of that
song and what that means to just give that all
to you know, a great thing he did, but that's
a huge amount of money.

Speaker 7 (42:58):
And so even even that year it got nominated for
Grammys and he got performed Grammys, was like it was close,
still closed, you know what I'm saying, Like we had
a big performance, but you know, and really get to
get the magic of what it really was was still.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Kicking it with Coach k and Mel Carter.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Now you guys jumped into the fast food business, right, yes,
why you jumped into the bo jingles franchising?

Speaker 2 (43:22):
And how'd y'all get together to do it? So?

Speaker 7 (43:24):
So me and Mel met twelve years ago music. We
met on you know, on some music stuff. You know
what I'm saying. We became super good friends. My brother,
you know, he was coming up in a business.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
I literally was starting.

Speaker 7 (43:37):
QC when me and him met, you know what I'm saying,
I was like, I got this idea. You know, he
had an artist from Brooklyn he was doing. He was like, man,
I need your help. I was like, we're gonna help
each other. You see what I'm saying. Because I was
at the I was doing a come up here. I'm
leaving management, well, still managing, but was doubling down on,
you know, starting a label.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Man.

Speaker 7 (43:56):
You know, we had a really good bond. You know,
it's a good good brother. And what about four maybe
four years ago, five years ago? Male, start making this moves,
you know what I'm saying. In New York, like meeting
a lot of people and doing things.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
I'm like. He was like, yo, when I find something.

Speaker 7 (44:12):
You know what I'm saying, because you was all you
always kept it real with me, you know, like even
when he went to go.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
Get a job, he was like, ya, I need you
to call these folks and tell me this thing.

Speaker 7 (44:20):
It's real, you know. But you know, once I find something,
I gonna pull you in.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
Called me.

Speaker 7 (44:25):
He was like, man, what you know about bow Jangles.
I was like, WHOA, that's crazy. I went to school
in Raleigh, North Carolina. You know what I'm saying. I
played basketball at Saint Augustine. Boat Jangles kept me alive.
That berry biscuit biscuits kept me alive. You know what
I'm saying, like gate that song. I was and I
never even heard of bot Jangles coming from Indianapolis, Indiana,

(44:48):
where I'm from. I got down there. I was like
the thing. And it was two minutes from my campus,
you know. So when they called me with the opportunity,
I was like, hell yeah, I man, you know what
I'm saying. I was like, what we can do? What
I was like, I'm in. He's all right, let me
let me, you know, go center down and really research
and find out everything because I know you're busy, you

(45:08):
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
And when I get.

Speaker 7 (45:10):
Everything from all the information and I'm gonna put it
in front of you, here we are and you know,
it's funny.

Speaker 26 (45:16):
How that opportunity came to me is having the right mentors,
you know what I'm saying. The network and dynamed Mike
Novagrads who m Dave Barry, got a podcast with them
based on business. It's called Business Untitled. They were actually
going to I mean whatever it's south there now. They
were going to buy pop POD's and they ended up
that fell through and they bought both Jangles because they

(45:38):
felt like it was the next best brand and That's
how the opportunity came about. And I just started really
looking into the brand. I always wanted to own something
and like like as a kid, like man, it'd be
cooler on McDonald's, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (45:49):
And it came out.

Speaker 26 (45:50):
We end up buying raised twenty five million dollars, bought
seventeen bow Jangles, and now grew it to twenty eight,
opening another two now now opening four this year.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Congratulations operating. Yeah, seventeen in South Carolina.

Speaker 26 (46:09):
We opened in the first one in Florence that's band
Wine and one in Uga on the campus that do
band wine.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
First boat j Angles ever with ban Wine.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
So being one, so you can go there, you can
get there, get you.

Speaker 2 (46:23):
Yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 26 (46:24):
But you know, like when I tell this story, like
I'm more involved than coach, you know what I'm saying,
because coaches running the whole entire label.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
I'm more run this. It wasn't easy to get to
this these you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 26 (46:37):
The first year we bought it, the EBITDA which is
the profit was at two point five million dollars. When
we bought it, COVID hit stores closed down. We was
getting this crazy thing that was happening with the employees.
I don't know if you remember the government if you
had an unemployment they was giving you four hundred dollars

(46:59):
on your check if you left.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
So we was getting employees.

Speaker 26 (47:02):
That work for two weeks quit get our five hundred
from unemployment, and the government gave him four hundred extra.
So we had so much turnover. Now we got over
a thousand employees, which eighty percent of them is black,
you know what I'm saying, And like we was getting
two hundred people turning over.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
Then we had to shut down stores.

Speaker 26 (47:21):
So iba I went from like two point five million
to like a million eight which that trips every alarm
with the bank. So it was like, oh my god,
we just like dropped the ball on this. Had the restructure,
had a bad partner coach want me about that.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
We got rid of him.

Speaker 26 (47:41):
And our restructure, hired a guy named Rob who's the
CEO of the company, a CFO Reid Robin, and restructure
the management team, and you know, thank god, today the
business is we're doing seven point nine million dollars in
EBITDA this year, on track to do nine point something
million next year.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Every year since since the fall revenue increase.

Speaker 26 (48:07):
Yeah, so you know, but I say that to say,
like being an entrepreneur, man, I always tell people like
it's eighty percent headaches, eighty percent stress, but that twenty
percent be really worth it.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
You know what I'm saying. What's the biggest obstacles you
guys face?

Speaker 1 (48:21):
Because you hear all the time tariffs is affecting this
or uh, this is affecting the farm life.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
You know, people don't want this or they want this.
So what is the biggest obstacles you guys have to face?
In this part?

Speaker 26 (48:31):
I mean and and this, The tariffs didn't really affect
us that much, you know what I'm saying. But like,
the biggest obstacles I had to face me and Coach
had to face was getting the management team right, people working.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
You know what I'm saying, getting people working right business.
You know what I'm saying, The management right.

Speaker 26 (48:47):
We got almost we probably got eleven hundred employees. You know,
we don't have.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Fights at the store.

Speaker 26 (48:55):
You see all that time, like and you you really
be like, please don't be my store because you get sued.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 26 (49:01):
But I tell you, one of the great moments I
had somewhere in South Carolina, and they got the store
pretty nice ready. And you know, we hire a lot
of x cons. We give second chances, like just people
like us. I'm a high school dropout, kicked out, so
we hire people like ourselves that just we want to
give opportunities too. And I went there and they had

(49:22):
this store like super ready. They ain't know what I
look like. And this one dude, he came up to me.
He had just came out like maybe a year ago,
and he been working and he still works there.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
I can't remember his name. And he was like, man,
you know, I thought Coach k was the guy from Duke.
That's what he said. And he said, and they told
me the boss, the other boss was coming from New York. Man.
We was scared.

Speaker 26 (49:45):
We was like we thought it was like, you know,
a white corporate guy like you like me. And I'm like, yeah,
I'm just like you, like you don't even understand how
much I'm like you. And he gave me a hug,
you know what I'm saying. And he was like, man,
this is it's good to see this, you know what
I'm saying. And I was like, yo, if I could
do this, you could really do this because I had

(50:05):
no I don't even know how I did this. I
just did it with God, you know what I'm saying.
Did it with God, did it with Coach, had the
right friends, the right mentors, and like networking is everything,
and like, you know, you could be a good networker,
but if you're only networking in Flatbush, you're only gonna
meet people from Flatbush, you know what I'm saying. So
you got to get outside your comfort zone and really

(50:26):
like network with people like yourself, people like you know,
I hired you for a party, like fifteen years ago.
I was throwing events in the live you remember that
on full Ton in Brooklyn. So I was charging He
charged me like forty grand back then, something I can't remember.

(50:48):
But you know, so I just been like networking my
whole life. And I don't treat networking as like I
want a network with people that I feel I could
be friends with.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
You know what I'm saying. I'm way past that stage.

Speaker 26 (51:00):
I gotta like be around somebody I don't like, just
to make it make something happen. So like Coach, my brother,
we're gonna do both Jangles together, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
So for kids. Man, it ain't easy.

Speaker 26 (51:11):
It's really really really hard every day and feel like
and I'm sure y'all know that I heard you got
a couple of.

Speaker 2 (51:18):
Yeah, me and my wife we got two.

Speaker 4 (51:20):
We bought six, but we got two that's are currently
operating in South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
That's Walter brother Crystal Crystals. What it's like, uhlid Yeah,
like sliders. Yeah, we should we should talk on that,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 26 (51:34):
And because we got a lot of spaces like in
both we can do uh, we can do burgers, we
can't do chicken.

Speaker 2 (51:40):
Okay, so it works perfectly. That's a conversation. So we
could definitely have a conversation with congrats on the thank you.
We're still kicking it with Coach k and mel Carter Charlamagne.
I want to ask you all the same question about franchising.

Speaker 4 (51:52):
How important is regional identity when it comes to franchising,
Because you know bo Jangles coming to New York, chick
flaying New York, it don't hit the same for me
coming from the South chick fil.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
I was excited at first.

Speaker 5 (52:04):
I can't imagine bo Jingles in New York.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
I'm from New York.

Speaker 20 (52:09):
No, I'm from Delaware. But that's why I haven't feeling
from down south. And I only know what Bojangles from
when I'm down south. Like I know literally when you're
driving when you hit certain areas because you see.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
Yeah yeah, but like you look forward to end. And
if I'm in Florida, I look forward to the looking.

Speaker 7 (52:26):
But it's in and out.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Came here, it'll be a line for twenty days, absolutely,
and Chick fil A is still it's still a line.
Chick fil A. I know all this stuff because I'm
in it, right.

Speaker 26 (52:36):
Chick fil a average unit volumes is seven million, that's
the average, and worst they do our average unit volumes
is two point nine million. I got one store. We
got one store that's doing five million, which is amazing.
Chick fil A average or does seven millions. Crazy in
New York City average Chick fil A does twelve million dollarge.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
So somebody liked it. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
So I still like having a regional identity with some
of these franchises.

Speaker 7 (53:03):
I know they still do have regional identity. They definitely
I think that's a Chick fil A come here the people,
that's you know, because Let's be clear, most people from
New York, Blennet, just from the South, you know what
I'm saying. So they used to coming back and forth
from Grandmama, Auntie this or that, you know, so you know,
once when it came, it's like, whoa, this is here now,
so let's flood it, you know what I'm say, because

(53:24):
you know you're not used to getting it.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
And once it's good, yeah, once it's good, you know.

Speaker 26 (53:30):
And your point you were saying earlier about our cheap
fast food used to be great point. What we did
with our company, we created a fight dollar box outside
of corporate, outside of they can't really tell you what
to do with your pricing. And that fight dollar box,
our company is now comping twelve percent high in corporate and.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Every other franchise is a good affording.

Speaker 26 (53:55):
You know what I'm saying. So now everybody's running to
our stores for the five dollar box.

Speaker 2 (53:59):
And Christine Crystal meal deal.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
Yeah, my kids went to Pope the other day was
fourteen dollars. It was just for strips, fries and the juice.
And I could not believe. I said, Nah, We're gonna.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
Go home and cooked.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
I'll take the town of cook I couldn't. I could
not give Popeyes slup Pope's fourteen dollars. And you know
I got six kids.

Speaker 5 (54:19):
You left, Pope.

Speaker 7 (54:20):
They had would you cook?

Speaker 2 (54:23):
What did you cook? I could burgers? How much you
think the burgers are in? He so I ran, I said,
I go to J's, run a big box of burgers. Couset.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
We twenty two dollars for the big angus burgers and
put them on the thing, put the little fries in
the thing and it was good.

Speaker 2 (54:34):
After twenty minutes they had their meal. You know, I'm
a pappy that cooks, though, so you know, if this
don't work out Bojangles. But y'all right about that five
dollars price point? Man, that changes a lot, like we
got all change.

Speaker 4 (54:46):
They got a four ninety nine meal deal for I
think it's what two crystal burgers, a small frying and drink.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Then we got a breakfast meal deal for two for
five dollars.

Speaker 26 (54:54):
Bro you can't get four for five dollars nowhere right,
So when you could and it's good, you know.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
People are running.

Speaker 26 (55:00):
I'm like, this is crazy with twelve comping twelve percent higher.
And I'm sure you've seen since you did that, it
just went crazy because let's be real, times is real rough.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Right now, he's patty four dollars right step down? Oh
my god, that's crazy. See where you're getting you a
b Patty from though Bodagga. They said we might in
fly Bush is the first one coming and Flatbush.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
I wanted to ask, you know, back to me, I
know you still deal with with with YACHTI what were
your thoughts when when I feel like everybody was attacking
Yachty and I feel like when sometimes we do things
wrong as a community, instead of having a conversation, we're attacking.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
We like to cancel.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
And obviously he had a conversation that went back and apologized.
So what was your thought when you heard Yahdy's line?

Speaker 7 (55:48):
And did you call him?

Speaker 2 (55:50):
Actually I didn't.

Speaker 7 (55:50):
I hadn't even talked to him until I seen because
he's he's in Australia on tour with with you know so,
and I was I was just in Southeast eight, so
we was kind of we miss each other until every
like him and Stephen had a conversation, you know what
I'm saying. But like when I heard I was like,
you know, me and Stephen were really good we're real cool.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
You know.

Speaker 7 (56:10):
I was like, I'm gonna put them together. But it
happened naturally because y'ally, you know, if he makes a mistake,
you know what I'm saying. The kid is so he's
just a really good person and he's free you know
what I'm saying. And sometimes you know, a lot of
they just don't be thinking, you know. So he's just
going writing the line come out, and then he gets

(56:30):
to the backlash. You know, he's smart. He's like, I'm
gonna here Stephen. So he hit him personally, you know
what I'm saying. They talk personally, which everything was cool.
You know, he lost up, did what he needed to do,
talk to him like a man. They did that and
I was gone, you know. But I mean a lot
of times I think, you know, these artists have free will, man,
and sometimes at the end they just they just writing
and thinking and not thinking about you know, everything else.

(56:53):
You know what I'm saying, can come.

Speaker 2 (56:54):
With it, but they I don't think he was a
technical People use it at a moment to teach, Yeah
for sure. Yeah.

Speaker 20 (57:00):
I watched the documentary you guys did with JT when
she first came home, and it showed how like also
to a Little Babies documentary. You guys are almost it's
such a family or felt like such a family at your.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
Man. It's family oriented.

Speaker 7 (57:14):
Man, That's how we run our business, you know, because I'm.

Speaker 20 (57:17):
Just wondering now, like how the dynamic works because it's
just JT. And are you guys still I do still
see like young Miami talking about you guys sometimes.

Speaker 7 (57:26):
Our relationship, like we still have a great relationships, see Miami,
we text each other every Everything is still cool. It's
just at the time where she wanted to go with
her career, just things didn't It didn't match your work,
you know. So it was like, hey, I'm not going
to never hold nobody back, you know what I'm saying,
that's what you want to do free? You know, free
will you can go, you know and explore any option
you want to do. It's still love too.

Speaker 20 (57:48):
Did it break your heart still? Because I think we
were all waiting for them to have that big, major
run together.

Speaker 7 (57:53):
It didn't break my heart because I've been in the
game a long time and I know people grow apart.
You know what I'm saying, Like this be real, Like
that's why I think a lot of If you look
in the business, we were the only ones out there
with groups. You know what I'm saying. Everybody was scared
of groups. I mean, I mean they I used to
get Man, you're crazy, you know, to do a group.
But I think that's what that was our sweet spot,
you know what I'm saying. So it didn't break my

(58:16):
heart just because hip hop raised me and I watched
and studied you know, music, you know what I'm saying.
And I mean, eventually, people are gonna grow apart, you
know what I'm saying. And we worked hard at it,
you know, and who knows, one day it may happen again,
you know what I'm saying. But like people just grow apart.

Speaker 2 (58:34):
How did the untimely passion of a Takeoff?

Speaker 7 (58:38):
I mean it packed me to this day still, you
know what I'm saying, Like take Off was probably one
of the nicest, humble, like any artist I ever worked with,
you know what I'm saying, Like he just was. It
was God's child, man, you know what I'm saying, Like
for real, and that moment, Man, I'm still messed up
on that moment. Man, it's even hard to talk about it.

(59:00):
You know what I'm saying me just because you know, yeah,
it's a hard.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
One, bro.

Speaker 20 (59:05):
Absolutely, a lot of the artists you've worked with too,
there's always like an entrepreneurial spirit about them, and y'all
empowered them.

Speaker 7 (59:12):
To do that. That's I mean telling you developing an artist,
you turn them into a brand. You know what I'm saying.
And me being a manager for so long, you know,
I only ate off the ancillary, never ate off the product.
The ancillary and the ancillary is all the businesses built
around the artists. So once when you build an artist,
it's like okay, my soon as outside the artists, I'm like, yo,

(59:33):
so how big do you want to go? You know?
I said, my goal is to turn you into a brand.
Are you ready for that? You know? I want to
turn into a brand and everything you touch, all the
ancillary that you think. You know, you like this, you
like that, Let's turn that into a business where you
control and your own.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
I like having y'all love here, man and having this
conversation because when people see y'all, it's inspiring. There's so
many people that look like us that don't even know
things like this are possible, you know what I mean,
Like franchising.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
It's something I always wanted to do, thinking about like
what E Class was doing and for sure, you know,
and how did you get into No, I got it
watching people like this, bro. But I got into it
because the two change, because you know, Two Changs became
the head of creative marketing for Crystal. And then I
saw a little Duball. Little Duball was down at doll

(01:00:21):
Day with all the Crystal burke and I'm damn, I
see Crystal in a minute. I just asked him what
you get that from? And that's when he told me
about Two Changs And I'm like, oh, two change at
the creative markets I hit him changing tech. I'm like, yo, man,
I want to talk about just seeing what's up for Crystal.
And they plugged me right in. That's they plugged me
right in. And it just made sense. My team was like, yo,
let's do it, you know.

Speaker 26 (01:00:39):
And what we do for brands as a culture, like
we add a lot of value to that. We don't
own a lot of times, you know what I'm saying.
So I don't own Both Jangles, but I'm on these
restaurants and I'm gonna help build it up. You know what,
I'm saying instead of just like taking some money to
help promo them. So it's like, you know again, I
want to preach to these kids like you got to

(01:00:59):
own on something, you gotta you got to own sign
and congrats on the crystals.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
Your brother's big, y'all. It's inspired hearing y'all talk. Thirty
twenty eight, currently operating thirty two coming. Oh that's incredible
to open next week.

Speaker 26 (01:01:12):
One on the campus A U G A uh one
that's the big one. Wow and uh the first one
downtown Florence.

Speaker 12 (01:01:21):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
So yeah, we're excited about that. Thank you the brothers
for joining us.

Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
Man, thank you guys having courage and keep pushing well.
Coach k MELCARTERA. Yes, indeed, it's the breakfast Club.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Good morning, and you see how they ruined our life
this morning by bringing up all them bull It was
what they called the Bulberry business Berry biscuits.

Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
I tried to tell y'all they hit it hit right, yes,
and you high hit didn't it yet?

Speaker 14 (01:01:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Hit yeah, didn't late man, take it on those own. No,
I don't want to.

Speaker 5 (01:01:52):
You can't eat it this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
I don't want you. I took half. I took a half.

Speaker 5 (01:01:55):
I feel like them.

Speaker 13 (01:01:56):
Three.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Oh man, I'm trying to tell you sleeping now now want.

Speaker 20 (01:01:59):
To I want to take home and warm it up
and relax, which is which is cool to one of
the mom I was sandwiches outside too.

Speaker 5 (01:02:08):
Yeah, I got the steak.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Lauren didn't even wash her hands. She just broken and
ab gave it to me.

Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
First of all, I had just finished my makeup and
I had washed my hands, and you hate it was.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
Yeah, okay, she's from Delaware. It's okay. First of all,
you thing with no water in Delaware. Let's get to
the latest.

Speaker 5 (01:02:25):
Warm be coming straight fast.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
She gets them from.

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
Somebody that knows, somebody to detail.

Speaker 5 (01:02:32):
I'm a home girl that knows a little bit about everything.

Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
She'd be having the latest on it. The latest with
Lauren la Rosa. Sometimes you have sometimes you have details,
Sometimes you have a little bit of everything. It's the
latest on the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 20 (01:02:47):
Well, speaking of Atlanta, so over the weekend there has
been some conversations Atlanta and a lot of artists on
There have been online debating and going back and forth
because you know how we've been up here talking about
Gunna and the conversations around can people support Gunn's music
or not. So now the conversation and the light is
shining Young Thug's way because there is alleged audio that

(01:03:10):
is leaked. These audios are supposed to be jail calls
of Young Thug having conversations with various people and he's
discussing Gunna and some other things. But prior to this
audio leaking, there was another alleged interrogation video that dropped,
and this video was of Young Thug or you know,
allegedly Young Thug in a room having a conversation with

(01:03:32):
police about Little Wayne toward buses being shot up in
the person who allegedly did that, right, because I have
not myself spoken to any jail that has told me
that that video is actually what we think it is
in the same Yeah, but listen, the way that the
internet is set up today, I am going to until
until I myself speak to a jail unportant exactly.

Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
Yes, the way.

Speaker 20 (01:03:57):
He came out, well, listen what he came out and
was talking of about. What was a back and forth
between him and Raalow. They were online arguing when Rollo's
another music artists from Atlanta. They were online going back
and forth because Rallo began to have conversations about that
interrogation video that happened in or did not happen.

Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
Okay, that's what he was referring to.

Speaker 20 (01:04:14):
He says that when in the video that people are
now seeing, he says that what he said online or
in that conversation helped his friend. Now moving forward, uh So,
now we get to the Gunna part of it, because
now these jail phone calls begin to leak, and in
one of the phone calls, Young Thug is having a
conversation about Gonna and the whole Rico and Gonna testifying.

(01:04:35):
And we've never heard Young Thug speak directly on this.
I take listen to Young Thug talking about Gunna in Arica.

Speaker 25 (01:04:41):
He made, which which they still got a pool to show,
which I don't think they gonna be able to pool
because it's just not a game. He gave the jurors
the agreement that it's a game. He said, why I say,
is a game? And he know people in this on
this trial who committed crime furtherance of the game. You
don't know nobody on the Cape.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
That's a lie.

Speaker 25 (01:05:03):
That's a full blow out. I know I know individuals
and on this case that committed crimes in furtherance of
the game.

Speaker 8 (01:05:09):
That's rico.

Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
So if.

Speaker 25 (01:05:12):
You really you've got a light to.

Speaker 8 (01:05:13):
It and you don't know nobody on the case, you ain't.

Speaker 25 (01:05:17):
You ain't ever committed no crime. You can't committed no crime.
You can't committed no crime on the only three people
you know on this case. I ain't now one of
the committed no crime. For you talking about you know why,
you know why sale members on this case that committed
crimes in furtherance of the game. You just made it
a case.

Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
You just made it the case.

Speaker 5 (01:05:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 20 (01:05:36):
So he's talking about when Gunner was in court and
he was asked about you know, being in the car
and things being found in the car and who they
belonged to and if YSL was actually a game.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
He was just fonding, yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am, Yes ma'am.
That that that video right, yes.

Speaker 7 (01:05:49):
Now.

Speaker 20 (01:05:49):
So in addition to uh these audios that audio being released,
there was also another audio that was released of Gunna
having a I'm sorry not gonna of of young Thug
having a conversation with twenty one Savage about what Gunna
did and how that should be taken by people said, listen.

Speaker 8 (01:06:07):
To that, Oh the like Shotty did what he did
with the intention of hurting you. Feel what I'm saying,
I don't really get that vibe from him. I feel
like he's just drain. That's just my opinion.

Speaker 25 (01:06:19):
I just look at the goddamnself. Was thinking about that
one day, like, I ain't gonna say that back that.
I might, I might be like, man, man, don did
what they had to do, but I'm like, the hell
that's gonna change because I feel like it's really old
for your career. The afue for that might go number one,
but as they after something like on.

Speaker 8 (01:06:35):
A real Noah, if you hold his career in your hand,
what I'm telling you, if you come out right now,
tell the what what he did went wrong? Because them
folks are already on the internet life man, God, that
keep racking with them ever since she dropped that song.
They're like, man, we racking. If you come out and
tell the world.

Speaker 4 (01:06:53):
That you was in agreeings with his career, ain't no
man dropping the clues balls in twenty one Savage. The
first nest time I ever had a conversation with twenty
one was he on the Breakfast Club and if you
go back and watch that interview from nine years ago,
I told him after talking to him that he had
his head on right. You can tell he was smarter
than most. And after listening to numerous costs between him

(01:07:13):
and Thug this weekend, yes, I still stand on.

Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
That, Doug. You should have listened to twenty one.

Speaker 4 (01:07:18):
Okay, there is nobody I heard give you better advice
in this whole situation than that young man.

Speaker 20 (01:07:23):
I agree, I agree, and I want to say too,
because he talked about, like you know, because there's so
many casts been in some of the costs. He talked
about the music and what would happen with gun his
career and how things will move forward. And this weekend
Gunna hosted his first meetup of the Run Club. They
have a five K happening actually tomorrow September third at
Prospect Park.

Speaker 5 (01:07:42):
It's already sold out.

Speaker 20 (01:07:43):
He hosted this first meet up and he was giving
a motivational speech just about where he is in life
right now, and it made me think, all of this
stuff is happening, and he has moved on and chose
a whole different route, and he still he did his
last album on Thug's label, so he's a free agent,
last one. He's moved on as far as him is concerned.
He is concerned his concerts are still sold out. He
does arena well, not arenas, but he does a concert halls.

(01:08:05):
He sells them out.

Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
He doesn't care. He has moved on.

Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
It just seems strange that these grown ass men and
it's not just one, two three, it's like eight of them. Yeah,
talking about snitching at this age, Like we got to
get to a point where we got to move on.
We can't even think about the negativity. Like these brothers
are making money legally a lot of it, and to
go back and to do all that, it just sounds stupid.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
And everybody knows these calls are taped.

Speaker 4 (01:08:26):
Yeah, the streets are so exhausting in corny, Like we
gotta start clowning people that are in the street. I
don't judge people for what they do in survival mode,
but man, when you know better, you have to do better.
And at this point, we have more than enough examples
of why the streets are corny, So we should really
start clowning people who make these poor life choices that
either land you in jail dead are labeled to snitch

(01:08:48):
that's the only three.

Speaker 20 (01:08:50):
Well, Pete kind of says something to the effect of
what you're trying to say, like this is this is
all has been dead.

Speaker 5 (01:08:54):
Like the first I saw what was saying from QC. Yes, yeah,
he said we need more more.

Speaker 20 (01:09:00):
Why I do have a Gunner's speech that he gave
it to the Run Club cause I thought it was
like it it was very timely for like, okay, let's
just move on.

Speaker 5 (01:09:06):
Let's take a listen to Gunner.

Speaker 27 (01:09:07):
Feel like everyone in here, y'all taking that step to
just like push yourself and you who knows how far
you gonna go and where you gonna go.

Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
It ain't up to me, It's up to God. You
drove yourself to this end.

Speaker 7 (01:09:19):
We didn't.

Speaker 27 (01:09:19):
He didn't make you come here. You push yourself to come,
So patch yourself on the back. I think y'all for
coming here too, because it's like it's a it's a
beginning of something that's gonna be way bigger.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
Than I didn't under see it.

Speaker 27 (01:09:30):
But like just showing up like y'all they want and
sh like y'all motivating me is just like damn, somebody's
showing up not to just hear my music. Like it
just can't work out for you though, to really feel
that if we be going through and we wanna get
it out in the gym cause we be thanks, everything
ain't easy.

Speaker 25 (01:09:46):
So once again, thank y'all for coming and.

Speaker 27 (01:09:50):
Pushing me to keep going too, cause y'all like day wants.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Kind of percentence.

Speaker 20 (01:09:54):
And then the press release for the Run Club it
says Gunna has spent the last two years on a
powerful physical and mental transformation, So you know, good to see.

Speaker 5 (01:10:02):
Definitely tell yeah, I know he looks like in music.
Definitely looks happier at peace.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:10:08):
And what's sad about this is a young thug became
a victim of an environment that he created because if
he hadn't been so hard on Gunner, people wouldn't be
so hard on him right now, Oh my god. Yes,
And because of how he treated Gunner, he created these
rules of engagement that now these street artists for street artists,
in their quotes, are going.

Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
To be forced to use on him. He should have
listened to twenty one Savage.

Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
Twenty one Savage gave young thug the best advice in
this whole situation.

Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
If he would have moved like twenty one told to move,
none of this would be happen.

Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
Because he told him that we just played the audio.

Speaker 20 (01:10:42):
Yeah, when he told him, like listen, like he did
what was best for him, y'all all should did what
was best for y'all.

Speaker 5 (01:10:47):
Let him like, let's move on us.

Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
And he told him, you hold your career in his hand,
like yes, Like it wasn't that deep true, especially being
in people around you did the same exact thing.

Speaker 20 (01:10:58):
And the person who took the charge took the charge,
so both of y'all should have been like, well, I
ain't gonna to do this.

Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
Was that y'all should have kept the music.

Speaker 4 (01:11:04):
That's why I understand why people conflate the two between
the streets and the music. When you get the opportunity
to do something legit and you get the opportunity to
make money legit, focus on that.

Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
They can live two lives. People, Well, what does thug
do now?

Speaker 20 (01:11:17):
Because to your point, I went and checked this Twitter
he on the twenty seventh, he retweeted the Thucker Daily page,
the fan page that talked about the interrogation video, and
the retweet he posted says, y'all are so gullible and
hurt nothing that thug said can be misconstrued for snitching,
so he feels like he has to explain himself.

Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
What does he do from her?

Speaker 4 (01:11:36):
Listen, I don't care who's snitching and who not snitching
to me. You know what, Doug need a record. Doug
need a slap. Doug need one of them joints. He
needs one of them ones.

Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
That's what Gunna did. Gunna came out and gave you
a few of.

Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
Than ones twice, drop twice, the album that had Brand
and Butter on it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:53):
And now in the last year, albody gave you that slap.
What f you mean?

Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
I'm staying you need a record, like you need a record?
Nobody care about who you telling? Why do I care
somebody snitching the night? I got a nice but day
at the house. Okay, I am game for my day.
I give a damn about day.

Speaker 2 (01:12:06):
He's in prison, exactly, give a damn boy who telling?

Speaker 5 (01:12:09):
Now?

Speaker 8 (01:12:09):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:12:09):
Wow? Would I care?

Speaker 7 (01:12:11):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Well, that is the latest with Lauren Charlamannehore giving that
donkey two man.

Speaker 4 (01:12:14):
Four after the hour, boy speaking a stand away from
these young niggas. There's a man named a Cise camp
post Rres who's nineteen year old. He needs to come
to the front of the congregation. We need to have
a word with him. This man killing people at baptisms.
We'll talk about it. What week that we'll talk about it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
God damn it. All right, we'll get to that next
the breakfast club. Good morning. You try to Charlotte. Some
Donkey to Day is just sa himself. Charlotte, man was
ready for I read the donkey again, Charla donc Yes
you are.

Speaker 5 (01:12:51):
Charlotte Dane the same.

Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
Yes, Donkey to Day for Tuesday, September second.

Speaker 4 (01:12:56):
Go to a nineteen year old man name a Cease
camp post to a Cease has been charged with murder.
He murdered a thirty five year old man named Christian
Gabrielle Montez.

Speaker 2 (01:13:06):
Rip to that man, sending his family healing and energy and.

Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Stories like this is why I believe segregation was a
great concept that was poorly executed. Okay, it should have
never been based on race. It should have been based
on behavior. And if you're basing on behavior, then you're
probably gonna segregate based on age. See a nineteen year
old and a thirty five year old don't got no
business being around each other. In twenty twenty five, okay,
unless they're like your close relative, like your child, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Nephew, niece, maybe a cousin. Cousin's pushing it. Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:13:37):
Mixing these y ns with us old the folks is
like mixing chicken with pork, and I don't eat swine. Okay,
I don't have time to be around these youngins who's
frontal cortex hasn't developed yet. But here's the problem. Okay,
you grown doing grown things. Somebody invites one of these
youngins to your grown folks function, and then one of
these youngins ruins the party. What do you mean one
of these youngins ruins the party, Uncle Charlotte, will let

(01:13:59):
me explain. This young nineteen year old man shot a
thirty five year old man at a baptism for the
man's son.

Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
I repeat, this young nineteen year old man shot and killed.

Speaker 4 (01:14:12):
A thirty five year old man at a baptism for
the man's son. A baptism a public declaration of one's
commitment to follow Jesus.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Now, I'm gonna tell you something.

Speaker 4 (01:14:24):
Both of these brothers was out of the line, okay, Christian,
according the witnesses confronted the nineteen year old about the
nineteen year old firing a handgun earlier in the evening
near Christian's Park vehicle.

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
That right there would have been enough for me. Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
If I wasn't choosing to call the police on now
young man after that, then I am going to choose
to not be around him, and I'm gonna choose to
not have him around me. If I saw him fire
a gun near my vehicle earlier that day and I
didn't call the police, I'm telling the whole family, I
don't want a cease at my son's baptism.

Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
Keep that foolishness away from me. I don't want him around.

Speaker 4 (01:14:58):
Full stop to see still came and Christian, according to witnesses,
confronted him about firing the gun. They got describing and
that young man went and got his pistol and shot Christian.

Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
Okay. He claimed it was him self defense because he
got hands put on him.

Speaker 4 (01:15:12):
What medical staff say he had at least two gun
shot wounds, one to his upper chest and one to
his back, which suggests he was shot more than once
and possibly tried to turn away our fell I can
give you multiple reasons why I don't like to be
around any youngins unless it's in mentorship capacity.

Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
Okay, the list is long. Number one. The musical disconnect.

Speaker 4 (01:15:32):
Okay, y'all arguing about who to go between Yeat and
knife Spice, us old head still arguing about who really
won between Nods and jay Z.

Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:15:39):
The fact that we all need slang translators. Okay, these
kids be saying riz and get yeah. Meanwhile, I'm over
here being gay for my body.

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
I need to be around people who can name at
least six members of Wu Tang. I need to be
around people who can sing I Love You by Mary J.
Blige verbatim. Do you know the contray code?

Speaker 3 (01:15:59):
Huh?

Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
Do you have to sit down for a second after
swag surfing? Do you have to go get a cold
glass of water after wilding out the knuck? If you
buck see? If that is the case, then you are
my people. Okay, you and my age bracket. We all
just trying to get home to our kids after a
night of grown folks fun. By the way, this don't
happen for us at clubs, not no more. Okay, it
happens at wedding receptions and alumni parties. This with those

(01:16:23):
little jitterbugs, those little Waiians shouldn't be invited, okay, unless they.

Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
Are close close family.

Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
But this story might even be debunking that theory because
this was a family function. This was a family gathering, okay,
not just any family gathering of baptism. The only blood
we should have been thinking about in this moment was
the blood of Jesus. But instead the poor brother's Christian
blood was spilled because of a young man who made

(01:16:49):
a permanent decision based off a temporary emotion. Please give
a cease compost turess the biggest he hull. That's it,
very sad as an understatement. All right, Well, thank you
for that donkey today, sir. Now when we come back,

(01:17:09):
let's open up the phone lines eight hundred and five
eight five one oh five one.

Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
You know, the US Opens in town and the match
had to be stopped the other day. That's because a
tennis star. Her name is Carolina Muchova or Macova Micavomucova, Muchova.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
One of five.

Speaker 3 (01:17:24):
You ain't trying to be wrong now, one of the five.

Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
You're trying to prove you don't need to be deported
so bad. One of the five.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
She's playing in the US Open. She looked in the
stands and she's seen her ex boyfriend. Here's the news report.

Speaker 28 (01:17:37):
This match was briefly interrupted after world number thirteen Carolina
Mahova spotted her ex boyfriend in the crowd. Mahova was
serving down in the first set when it became clear
that she was upset. She stopped a few times to
wipe her eyes. The umpire asked if she was okay.
The commentators were trying to work out what was going on.

Speaker 29 (01:17:54):
She's normally a player that stays pretty even killed, so
this something is definitely bothering her for her to have
this reaction right now.

Speaker 28 (01:18:01):
This went down in the second US Open round Mahovah
against Saronica Stayer, a match that Mahovah did go on
to win, but the ex boyfriend part of it all
only became clear in the post match press conference. In
a script translated by The Athletic, Mahovah said, opposite my bench,
my ex boyfriend sat down. He sometimes shows up at
places where he shouldn't be. That startled me a bit.

(01:18:21):
I told him to leave.

Speaker 11 (01:18:22):
He didn't, but later he did.

Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
Go poor young.

Speaker 1 (01:18:26):
So the question eight hundred five eight five one oh
five to one has an ex ever showed up at
the wrong time or wrong spot.

Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:18:34):
That's why you're a tennis player in the US Open.
You shouldn't even be looking at this thing.

Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
But he sat right behind the bench, so when she
walked to the bench, he was probably sitting there like
with a big ass grin on.

Speaker 4 (01:18:44):
That's diabolical. That's when we also don't know what she's
been through with this young that's my thing. So when
you see a person you start living all that trauma
and all the things that this person puts you through.

Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
I totally get it.

Speaker 5 (01:18:55):
But she supposed to use that is fuel rage and
going beat that person's egg on, you know, like in
tennis obviously, but like you use that as rage. Now,
I do understand what you're saying, because he probably the
breakup is probably recent. What if he broke up with
her the day before, or what if they broke up
or she broke up with him the week before, whatever,

(01:19:16):
if it was recent, I get it.

Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
But it's like, yo, this is the US Open years ago,
and maybe he puts so much trauma on her it's
almost like the Boogeyman.

Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
So it's like, oh, yeah, well, let's open up the phone.

Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
Lines eight hundred five eight five, one oh five one.
Has this happened to you? Let's discuss.

Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
It's the Breakfast Club, Good Morning, that's double Breakfast Club Morning.

Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
Everybody is the DJ Envy, just hilarious, charlamage the guy.

Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
We are the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 1 (01:19:43):
If you're just joining us, we're opening up the phone
lines eight hundred five eight five, one oh five to one.
We're talking about US Open Star. Carolina Mukhova Muchova, Mukava, Mukova.

Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
I don't know the bright saying. I've said it a
bunch of different names. Hey, when you try to act
like you're not Dominican.

Speaker 1 (01:20:00):
I'm not going to do She's from check. She's like
she's not Spanish. But anyway, she was talking about her
match the other day where she broke down crime because
she's seen her ex list listen.

Speaker 28 (01:20:10):
This match was briefly interrupted after world number thirteen Carolina
Mahovah spotted her ex boyfriend in the crowd. Mahovah was
serving down in the first set when it became clear
that she was upset. She stopped a few times to
wipe her eyes. The umpire asked if she was okay.
The commentators were trying to work out what was going on.

Speaker 29 (01:20:27):
She's normally a clear that Stee's pretty even killed, so
this something is definitely bothering her for her to have
this reaction right now.

Speaker 28 (01:20:34):
This went down in the second US Open round Mahovah
against Saronica Stayer, a match that Mahovah did go on
to win, but the ex boyfriend part of it all
only became clear in the post match press conference. In
a script translated by The Athletic, Mahovah said, opposite my bench,
my ex boyfriend sat down. He sometimes shows up at
places where he shouldn't be. That startled me a bit.

(01:20:54):
I told him to leave.

Speaker 11 (01:20:55):
He didn't, but later he did go.

Speaker 1 (01:20:58):
So we're asking eight hundred and five e five one
oh five to one has an ex ever shown them
at the wrong time?

Speaker 2 (01:21:04):
That is the question? Has this happen to you?

Speaker 12 (01:21:06):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:21:07):
To be honest, no, my axes ain't never show up
at the wrong time. In fact, they show up at
the right time. They get their ass roasted and get
their ass on.

Speaker 4 (01:21:14):
But now, have you ever showed up at one of
your ex's places at the wrong gun, or anywhere with
your ex at the wrong time?

Speaker 2 (01:21:20):
You know your stories?

Speaker 5 (01:21:22):
No, you did not yet here, nothing about me, nothing
in you lying, because the whole world would have been
there if you live. No, no, that's never happened.

Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
Hello, who's this?

Speaker 12 (01:21:32):
What's up? Y'all?

Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
Are hey?

Speaker 7 (01:21:35):
I breath?

Speaker 2 (01:21:38):
How's the ex ever shown them at the wrong time
for you? Bree?

Speaker 21 (01:21:41):
Yes, First, I want to start by saying, Hey, if
the Charlamagne es, I love her, and y'all, I'm glad
y'all got me on because I really could show out
one day because I can never get through it. But
now you'll y'all like, but anyway, Yeah, So I co
pered with my daughter said, and we would have a
meeting place on Sunday waffle House.

Speaker 10 (01:22:04):
My ex knew that because we was together for like
five years.

Speaker 21 (01:22:07):
Sometimes he would take me. So after we broke up,
I left him in the dust, changed my number, I moved.
She said, oh I know where to fund her. That
man was at the waffle house on a Sunday. So
when my daughter's there, they pull it off. I looked like,
who's blocking me in? This man done blocked me in,
jumped out the car with flowers trying to get me back.

Speaker 6 (01:22:29):
Y'all.

Speaker 19 (01:22:29):
I was scared for my life.

Speaker 5 (01:22:31):
Isn't fair for your life?

Speaker 21 (01:22:32):
I was since he was tall aggressive, that's why I
left me. Oh you can't show up with flowers, old baby.

Speaker 19 (01:22:39):
No, it was so crazy. I was like, oh my god,
I played the nine and so if he moved the
car and I was like, yet, Mina see you.

Speaker 21 (01:22:46):
Writing this copy that's my real number.

Speaker 2 (01:22:49):
Damn app, I'm shock. I'm shocked you didn't call the
pulley that.

Speaker 17 (01:22:54):
Would have made a wife.

Speaker 21 (01:22:57):
About the police.

Speaker 10 (01:22:58):
I did that before it made the word no.

Speaker 21 (01:23:00):
So yes, it definitely showed up.

Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
At But you know, it's it's strange though, because like,
I don't want somebody like you Bree to have to
deal with this guy.

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
So you get out that one situation, but then what
about the next situation?

Speaker 1 (01:23:12):
Sometimes the next situation, she said, if he doesn't care
about it might make it worse, right.

Speaker 21 (01:23:17):
And that's why I have n't put myself.

Speaker 10 (01:23:18):
I don't even mess what he to do.

Speaker 21 (01:23:19):
Some I'm single, I don't even care, Like I don't
deal with nobody because I'm just like, right now, I'm
just finding me because that that relationship really took a
toll on me because it wasn't that long. So right
now I'm just like, you know, in a better place.

Speaker 10 (01:23:33):
My daughter's singing in high school. I'm focused on that.

Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
I'm happy for you.

Speaker 3 (01:23:37):
Yeah, Hello, who's this KK from Brownsville?

Speaker 10 (01:23:41):
Good uncle's was good auntie?

Speaker 5 (01:23:44):
Best game?

Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
We'll talk to us. What happened with you? KK?

Speaker 10 (01:23:47):
So my story is my ex girl showed up for
my birthday party with the girl that I cheated on
her with.

Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
But that's not the end of the story. Kind of
a legend already, but I want to hear more.

Speaker 10 (01:24:00):
Our current girl was there with me, with the with
the girl that I'm cheating on her with.

Speaker 9 (01:24:05):
So all of them there at the same time.

Speaker 10 (01:24:07):
So all my friends noticed that, so they got the
cameras in our faces. Now now they're trying to see
how what's gonna go down.

Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
So I'm sneaky, so I know how to maneuver.

Speaker 10 (01:24:16):
So the thing is, I'm left before they even some
happy birthday. So I'm like, I'm out of here, you
know what I'm saying. So now they all wondering where
I'm at. They you know what I'm saying. It's all
on cameras.

Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
It's kid. I'll send it to y'all and let me
tell you something. First of all, how old are you?
Number one, I'm thirty four. You're way too over that
kind of behavior.

Speaker 4 (01:24:32):
Number two, you're not sneaky because you said all your
people knew what was going on. Real sneaky is nobody
knowing you that knocked any of them ladies off except
for you and them ladies.

Speaker 10 (01:24:43):
Nah, but you know I'm sending them bros.

Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
No, you don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:24:46):
You don't tell your bros nothing. Your bros don't need
to know nothing. Moving silence, young brother.

Speaker 8 (01:24:53):
You're right, you're right right, But now.

Speaker 3 (01:24:55):
Grow up though, you ain't got to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
No more girls grow all right, Yeah, you are too
old for that. Thirty four is way too over.

Speaker 1 (01:25:02):
That kind of If you're just joining us, we're asking
has an ex ever shown up at the wrong time?
That's because during the US Open, one of the tennis
players she broke down crying because her ex was in
the stairs.

Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
Let's listen.

Speaker 28 (01:25:14):
This match was briefly interrupted after world number thirteen Carolina
Mahovah spotted her ex boyfriend in the crowd.

Speaker 11 (01:25:21):
Jehovah was serving down in the.

Speaker 28 (01:25:22):
First set when it became clear that she was upset.
She stopped a few times to wipe her eyes. The
umpire asked if she was okay. The commentators were trying
to work out what was going on.

Speaker 29 (01:25:31):
She's normally a clear of that ST's pretty even killed,
so this something is definitely bothering her for her to
have this reaction right now.

Speaker 28 (01:25:38):
This went down in the second US Open round Mahovah
against Saronica Stayer, a match that Mahovah did go on
to win, but the ex boyfriend part of it all
only became clear in the post match press conference. In
a script translated by The Athletic, Mahovah said, opposite my bench,
my ex boyfriend sat down. He sometimes shows up at
places where he shouldn't be. That startled me a bit.

(01:25:58):
I told him to leave.

Speaker 11 (01:26:00):
He didn't fop. Later he did guard.

Speaker 1 (01:26:02):
So we're asking eight hundred five eight five one oh
five to one, has this ever happened to you?

Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
We got Charlie on the line. Charlie, what's up?

Speaker 8 (01:26:08):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (01:26:09):
What's going on? Brother? Your door?

Speaker 7 (01:26:12):
Right?

Speaker 8 (01:26:13):
Good morning?

Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
Good morning?

Speaker 10 (01:26:14):
Yeah, Charlie June.

Speaker 9 (01:26:15):
You're from Jaconville, Florida.

Speaker 2 (01:26:17):
Now talk to us. Brother.

Speaker 9 (01:26:18):
Hey, Hey, so man, let me tell you about this
per last day. So I'm chilling one night, man, I
had something flying here, real fine, we chilling, got thebalccony
door open, wine music plays, were feeling good. And why
my ex came through the balcony. Came through my balcony door. Man.

Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
She thinks she's Santa Card. The whole night she thought
she was Santa Claus.

Speaker 9 (01:26:39):
Yeah, man, man, check this out.

Speaker 10 (01:26:40):
And I'm on the second floor. How she clean put
on her home girls. She stood on her homegirl's shoulders
and pulled herself up over.

Speaker 9 (01:26:48):
My guy, Damn bacaon.

Speaker 7 (01:26:50):
She's strong.

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Legend.

Speaker 9 (01:26:52):
I was in the military, man, So you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 10 (01:26:54):
I'm dealing with the athletic women.

Speaker 25 (01:26:55):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
Damn oh man, I'm trying to break them up.

Speaker 3 (01:26:59):
Man.

Speaker 10 (01:26:59):
And what I finally call him her down?

Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
I see.

Speaker 10 (01:27:01):
I said, you can't be doing this, man, You're doing
this to yourself.

Speaker 17 (01:27:04):
Man.

Speaker 8 (01:27:05):
And just how I knew she was crazy.

Speaker 9 (01:27:07):
She left the same way she came in.

Speaker 10 (01:27:09):
John Thor, the goddamn.

Speaker 9 (01:27:10):
Factor, letting on her feet legend, Damn well wal the
whole night, man, the whole night, and she and she
wanted to fight, so she she climbed up the balcony.

Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
Beat you girls, you want to fight?

Speaker 10 (01:27:20):
Oh, she needs to be the other girl was just
that real me letty and I'm gonna just stable better.

Speaker 2 (01:27:24):
So I was like, man, she needs to be an
action here on mill Man. You need to call her
back and be her agent. We need to get her
in some action movie. Christ Hello, who's this Amy? Amy?
Good morning? Talk to wapping with you Andy.

Speaker 19 (01:27:40):
So I had to pull up on me one night
at karaoke. M Yeah, that's definitely not the move. So
I had posted on face that I was going to
carry yoskey. I actually posted where we were Goways and
he showed up. He was right there at the front
with the fort a smug look on his face. And
when I realized he was out there.

Speaker 8 (01:27:59):
I just took the whole my her phone and just.

Speaker 19 (01:28:00):
Threw it right in the space.

Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
Man, Yeah, it'd be like that.

Speaker 19 (01:28:06):
I agree with her response, what.

Speaker 4 (01:28:08):
Did he do to you that triggered you? Because that's
what I was saying earlier. She probably saw him and
remembered some trauma, like what did he do that really,
you know, set you off?

Speaker 19 (01:28:15):
Absolutely, he used to follow places, even like curtain relationship.
He was just like a very controlling type of person
that I couldn't move without you know, him knowing where
I was going, and if I didn't call back or
inswer my phone in a certain amount of trying, it
was a problem. So he gave me a sucker vines. God,
so to see his face like, oh no, you can't.

(01:28:36):
You can't just be where I'm at randomly like that,
because now I feel like I got to descend myself.

Speaker 2 (01:28:41):
Gotcha, got thank you, mam. What's the moral of the story, guys?

Speaker 22 (01:28:46):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:28:46):
To me, the moral of the story is knowing when
to leave people alone and give them space is an
underappreciated skill. Because if you know this person don't want
to be around you, but you're still coming in this
person's space and coming into the environments that they're in,
You're trying to f with this person. You're trying to
help with this person is mental. You're trying to mess
with this person emotionally.

Speaker 2 (01:29:03):
To me, that's whack. So knowing when to leave people
alone and give them spaces an underappreciated skill. All right, Well,
we got the latest with Lauren coming up, so don't
go anywhere. It's the breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club.

On the breakfast club, talk to me.

Speaker 20 (01:30:37):
Kai Sinnat or Kysinette has begun Mafia thron three, which
is where he streams twenty four to seven, you know,
all day long, all night long, and he brings guests
on all the things.

Speaker 5 (01:30:49):
So yesterday I kicked off. It was late.

Speaker 20 (01:30:51):
So it kicked off with Miles Knton who is the
nephew or the little cousin on the Yes he sunghow, Yes,
he sung in the intro of it. And then Kyant
came on with Jabbwaukee's.

Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
Ja He practiced that that wasn't just copy, it was dope.

Speaker 7 (01:31:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:31:10):
By the way, Jabawauke is gonna be doing nothing for
nobody for them to pull up the stream, says a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
That had come days before because they had a whole
dancing routine.

Speaker 20 (01:31:20):
Yeah, same, Yeah, it was fire and then at the
top of the stream, Lola Blazion, Baby, Lola, Lola Clark.

Speaker 2 (01:31:30):
She came.

Speaker 20 (01:31:33):
Yeah, she's doing like a daily news thing with Mafia,
So she's like the news anchor. So she gives you
like the updates of like what's happening within the stream
and in the chat and all the things. So she
appeared yesterday. Kim Kardashian was his first guest on the streams.
She popped up yesterday. Oh no, baby, this is a
full production. Yeah, don't play with Kai. So yeah, so

(01:31:54):
she kicked out. She kicked it off as his first guest,
Kim Kardashian. She was there saying, I didn't see Northwest
in the stream, and we know Northwest loves.

Speaker 2 (01:32:03):
Stream.

Speaker 5 (01:32:03):
Maybe she'll come later on in the stream.

Speaker 20 (01:32:05):
But Kim did you know, sat down and had some
conversations with them, and she talked a bit about homework
with them.

Speaker 5 (01:32:10):
Let's say a listen, Kay doing a lot of crazy stuff.

Speaker 10 (01:32:13):
He's not doing his homework on time, Like he gotta
start this moment.

Speaker 2 (01:32:16):
I wanted to do his homework.

Speaker 30 (01:32:17):
I don't give a damn if goddamn no school started,
You're gonna start that goddamn home because.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
You too, y'all to be on the video games all day.
We be in the gym, you waiting up.

Speaker 22 (01:32:27):
You gotta do your homework.

Speaker 11 (01:32:28):
Man, I don't believe in homework.

Speaker 7 (01:32:36):
Homework.

Speaker 12 (01:32:38):
I'm gonna tell you why, because like you gotta go home,
the in school for eight hours a day.

Speaker 11 (01:32:43):
When they come home like they need to all say
that you sports time with their family. I think the
homework should be left for like in school.

Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
A good teacher. That is a valid point, very valid.

Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
I said that even back when my son went to
a charter school. Yo, all they do is work. They
get these big thick packets for homework almost every other day.
Shout out to you know, Kip Harmony, the charter school.
But I just always felt like that was too much.
I think, way too much. And they spend most of
their day in school already and right on the weekends
like they should. They should be able to chill.

Speaker 1 (01:33:23):
Like you said, if a kid has any activity, they're
done school between two and three o'clock.

Speaker 2 (01:33:27):
Then the activity usually.

Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
Starts at four, so they get an hour to eat
and then they're in their activity for two three hours.
That's seven by the time they home and eat with
their family. Then they got to or I should say,
then the parents got to do homework. No, it's a lot,
it's it's definitely a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:33:41):
Now I do believe in home projects. Now, home projects
should be sent home, like the little science projects or
the art projects, something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
Homework every day.

Speaker 7 (01:33:48):
I do not like that.

Speaker 1 (01:33:49):
Well, I mean summer stuff too, because my daughter, my
daughters was up late last night finishing their summer projects.

Speaker 5 (01:33:53):
Crazy okay, I just know you got projects over the summer.

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
Yes, okay, that's what my daughter had to do, four
of them.

Speaker 5 (01:33:59):
Wow okay. Well also too, so what Kai is doing
throughout the stream.

Speaker 20 (01:34:05):
If he gets to one million subs and last I
saw it was seven hours ago, he's at one hundred
and thirty thousand. If he gets to one million, Lebron
will come and cut off his dreads on stream. And
also fifteen percent of the revenue from Mafia Don three
is going to the school that he's building, that Kaisana
is building, Kasinet is building in Nigeria. So he has
some reps come on and talking and updates about that

(01:34:26):
as well too. But another thing he is doing, and
when I saw this, I was like, wait, what is that?
Gabe he has a on the radar room set up
in the house. Let's take a listen to Gabe popping
up on Mafia thon three.

Speaker 19 (01:34:37):
Now in the room that we couldn't see last time.

Speaker 17 (01:34:40):
Everybody go into right here. We got my brother on
the radar in the building on the radar. Yes, sir, baby,
we're here in the house.

Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
A lot of the times, this is where.

Speaker 30 (01:34:55):
Be able to record music here, yep, record music. We'll
be able to have the guests come in and do
live freestyles, hosts, co hosts, all the radar ex Mafia.
Than this is the radio station. Okay, this will be
the radio station. We have a lot of people that
are gonna come through freestyle and get out. If you
want to record a song here, we.

Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
Can already came and asked.

Speaker 30 (01:35:18):
I think I think it would be cool if we
had smaller artists come through here and have a chance
at something.

Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
All right, pre set you on the radar. By the way,
that's what Gave already does already has you know, artists
that aren't necessarily the biggest come on there. Yeah, he
already doing it now he's doing it on a way
bigger platform, which is which is why I never understand
when they do these hip hopo lists.

Speaker 4 (01:35:42):
Complex, I'm talking to you, how is gay p not
ranked super high on these hip hopulists when he's got
the premier.

Speaker 2 (01:35:48):
Vehicle, pre style platform for rappers for the last few years.

Speaker 4 (01:35:52):
Right, what are we talking about? Drake pulled up on
the radar, Big Sean Mill.

Speaker 1 (01:35:59):
Drake is in a numerous time, not just once. He
did it a couple of times he did. He did
it one with Central Ce and I think he did
it one on some other time.

Speaker 2 (01:36:05):
No, I just remember it with Central Sein wrong about that.

Speaker 20 (01:36:07):
It's the place to go if you're trying to break
the artist, is where you're supposed to be at. So
I don't understand that either. But I thought it was
so fire when I saw that, and I thought it
was like with Kay. I thought the balance of everything,
like he still knows what's going on. But then it's
like big, you have all these huge celebrities there. So
I thought it was great.

Speaker 2 (01:36:21):
Kyle got his boys on there, he got the I
saw Reggie on it. I haven't watched the whole Scream yet.

Speaker 5 (01:36:26):
I tried to watch the food one last night. I
fell asleep.
