Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen is the Breakfast Club and Jamie Fox
what a baby? Jamie was so man, Jamie Fox suck
if you ever figured out baby, Yeah, I'm good now,
Thank you good man, because I was like, man, if
I need to, I mean, you know what I need
to do to him? Jamie Fox gives me great advice
on relationships and everything. Sometimes you know, I gotta ask

(00:21):
him something really, But we were chilling though. That was like,
that was a moment Jamie Fox and get Bellair for
the first time when he was filming Annie when he
was staying in New York. So, damn, Jamie, you don't
got to the point now where you um, you can't
sleep with all the girls no more. So you just
give it a vice, you know, you know, you know,
you know what. It's crazy right you start looking at
him like, damn, you know you out have been smashing

(00:43):
by man. He didn't offer on my way out if
you need you know, I say, if you need a stunt,
if you need a stunt teens, I'm like, yo, whatever, yeah,
I appreciate you to what's this song? We about the premiere?
Right now? Tell us about it? Yo? You know want
first of all, when I talk about music, I'm not

(01:03):
Jamie Fox. I'm back to the starving artists. I'm back
to like just now trying to like figure it all out,
and so you know, I really, you know, I get nervous.
I mean it ain't It's just like, you know, we
was in Vegas when when we tried to one song
and it failed, right, that was the two Chains record, right,
party in the party? Yeah, you know, I was rocking

(01:26):
in Vegas. It was rocking out there in Vegas. I
think I think we were rocking. Oh okay, you know
what I'm saying. I mean our vibe was great, right right,
But let's keep it real, Jamie Fox, You've had some
great songs already. I actually love your music, so I
can't complain sort of failed right, like right when the
song got off the stage. That's when I think it
was bad. I got sued for that record, right. Yeah.

(01:47):
That was the other thing too, because I had like
a feeling seemed like seem like I heard first of
all the hook I've already heard before because that was
back in the day. But I was like, well, maybe
they'll let me ride, you know, Jamie trying with around
then it's man, somebody else had already sung it and
it was crazy. It's like I said, man, maybe I
thought it was another person because I heard an echo
and another studio, but you know how it goes. And

(02:12):
we didn't want to disrespect the guy and everything like
that said, we'll let that go anyway, cut to the
chase this one. I really am excited about this when
it's this kid, Casey and Orlando, who's a fantastic artist
and fantastic matter. And what's special about this is he
sort of he sort of took a step back on
doing his album, uh, to facilitate on my album because

(02:33):
you know how this man, you know, we all been
in this game for so long. So if you if
you do a song and you're successful or whatever like that,
it actually makes it tougher to reinvent yourself. So, uh,
it's called you Chase Me, which is crazy. That's what we
we was just talking about. You know. It's like, you know,
the song is sort of like about you know, meeting
this girl, you know that that sort of you know,
change me now. I want to you know, kick it

(02:54):
with her, you know. So it's it's it's uh, it's dope,
and we've got Chris Brown on their young Chris Brown,
who's on his young thing. So it's it's fly now
hold on the woman that changed you? Katie Holmes, Well
what happened? No, it's going on, man, Hello, And before
we play that, I gotta say your daughter's absolutely beautiful

(03:16):
for you. Oh man, you know what, it's crazy. My
daughter just turned twenty one. She was in London, yoke.
It was crazy. She had an incredible birthday party. But
to see that she's twenty one now is just not
I mean, we you know, we're doing shots together. It
was crazy. What happened to the Pretty Young Thing record?
I thought you had a record, Pretty Young Thing produced
by Muscle. Yeah. Yeah, you know what, man? Sometimes hey man, look,

(03:38):
sometimes sometimes the vibe in the studio and the weed
and everything make you take that thing is real, the thing,
and then at a while the it ain't. It Just
don't it make you know why you should have got
tied on it? You know what. Look man, I'm gonna
tell you it's tough, bro. It's like, you know, this
music game is so tough. It's like if you do
something too young or too you know, to gimmicky along

(04:01):
with the same sort of thing. It just doesn't play,
you know, and and and that's that's the way it
should be. It's like, you know, that's why I stay
grinding on it until I until I find it. But
I'm really happy about the whole body of the album.
And some of those records it was just like tests.
You know, they didn't necessarily task to test. But I
think the bars were about to drop right now. I
really feel good about them. That's true because you're old

(04:23):
enough when you do a record like pretty Young Thing,
you kind of come off as kind of creepy. Yeah,
I mean, yeah it, dude. I mean, man, you can't
you know, you put it to putty, this way to putty.
My my daughter be like, dad, don't don't. Don't get
too young on us now, Like I because I had
on some young shoes one time and she was like, Yo,
what's with them shoes? This is what the kids want?

(04:45):
She said, Dad, you got old, you got civil rights feet.
You can't. You can't win a type of shoes, dad.
And it's true because sometimes I see some of my
homies to be out of this my age. But we're
still trying to you know, we're still up in the
club game. The shoe game be wrong. I'm like, especially
them shoes that have all of them, the spikes on them,
the buckles and zippers. Yeah, man, I look dog, the

(05:06):
shoes I had on if somebody smoked me into getting them,
like your fox dash, and then it looked like I
had on some ice skates and some click I'm playing
a football game on an ice skating ring. So I
was like, listen, I'm done with that. So she keeps
me a perspective on what to do. Now, jam you
talk about letting the stuff go. Now, why you just
don't go ball then? Because you be keeping that young headline?

(05:26):
You know? But but see that's the thing though, it's Hollywood,
so I gotta do that. Okay, Okay, my head, My
head ain't built like that. What is that, m planta?
What do you how do you do? No? No, that's
just that's just flotting. He'sagne. Now you want to make
up the things? I see that, Yeah, but I don't know.

(05:47):
I don't wear make up. But I want them headline
I want them headline tips. If you got them now,
all the great's got them headlines, you know, Lebron Fox
you know? Now? Why why back to music man what
you're doing so good with the movies and acting. Why
music again, That's what I wanted to do in the
first place. It's like when I came when I came
out here, like I actually when I got on The

(06:09):
Living Color, it was like, you know, the comedy sort
of hit first, and I feel like, you know, like
I laid down like tracks in comedy, like no one
could every race. But then it was like, how do
I been back to the music. I remember being on
The Living Color dressed as wand that Teddy Riley is
there and it's a brand new you know, I'm just

(06:29):
on the show for the first time, so he don't
really know who I am. So I went and grab
my cassette tape at that time, and I'm running down
the hallway because Teddy Riley's getting ready to leave. I'm like, yo, man,
I want you to I do music. He looked at
me like impossible, and I was like, oh snap. So
I had to sort of fight through all of that,
fight through all the comedy, fight through all the acting,
and get back to what I wanted to do in

(06:50):
the first place. And then you know, I run into
this cat name Kanye West, who's at my crib and
one of my house parties, and that the party was
like at that time, it was pub and it was
jay Z. It was real, all these cats, and he said,
I got the song called slow Jams I want you
to sing on. And then that's what changed everything, because
people who have viewed me as just the comedian or

(07:11):
whatever you they now see me as a singer. So
then you know, once the music start to drop, I said, oh,
this is where I want to be in the first place.
And now I'm in a comfortable position where I can drop.
I can't. I can't take the chances with it. You
know what I'm saying. Are you never gonna went back
to Kanye and did anything? I mean, you know, like this,
this is what I also do too. It's like sometimes

(07:32):
you know, like I don't know when you're doing so much.
Sometimes it's just it ain't the right fit, you know
what I'm saying. But but hopefully hopefully, I mean, because
you know, I texted Man. You know, I'll be like, Yo,
what's up? Whatever? You know? I know you're in Paris.
What movie you got coming through the pipeline? Anything we
should be looking out for. I'll be honest with you.
I'm trying to figure everything out right now. But I

(07:53):
just went in with paramount with with with Mike Tyson.
Some gonna do the Mike Tyson story last year that
you were signing on the play Mike Tyson. Listen man
to be in the same room pitching Mike Tyson a
pair of my Mike Tyson on one side, I'm on
the other side and doing Mike Tyson at the same
time and Martin Scorsese at the ham. So this will
be the first boxing movie that Martin Scorsese has done

(08:17):
since Raging Bull. So that's the thing that you sort
of like, Okay, okay, that's the one that's and this
is gonna be Mike Tyson, you know, Like I called
Mike like a year ago. I was like, Mike heysan
all praised it to our live. I'm happy. My brother said,
why we call that? We call I don't have any
money anymore And I said, why do you say that?
He said, because no one, no one can take anything
from me anymore. I'm just so happy to know of

(08:38):
U's trying to take anything from me. And I said,
that's the story. The story of the guy who, at
eighteen years old had sixty million dollars in his pocket
and everybody's trying to get it. And now the grown
guy who sits back and reflects on the whole thing
of like the money was the downfall. So and it's
not about Mike being you know, Mike Tyler is not
that flamboyant. It's him ordering his food, it's him talking

(09:01):
to his kids, it's him reflecting. So it's that's that's
the one thing. I'm the site back. But you know
how this I'm met Mike Tysons. I'm met Mike Tyson,
I'm on stage at twenty one twenty two. I go
to my Mike Tyson joke. Nobody laughs at all. I said,
what's up? And then the dude in the back said, yo,
Mike Tyson is in here. And I'm like, oh, snap man,
that's what he was knock and casting out for now.

(09:23):
He had that bullword sweatsuit, just knocking cast on the
street out. Then the dude said, yo, Mike said, do
the joke. It better be funny. So I do the joke.
Get a standing ovation And I started hanging out with
Mike when like twenty one twenty two, when he was
riding around in Ferrari trucks and all kinds of stuff.
So I've seen it from a distance his whole life.
So now that's why it's gonna be so dope to
be able to to to embody that joint. And I'm

(09:46):
telling you, I'm ballooned up to like about two hundred
and five pounds and took the pictures and I'm telling
you it's like people are gonna be sitting next to me.
Like I said, I wanted to be able to wear
his kids look at me and say that's daddy. Wow.
All right, now you got that's a big thing because
you know, you did Ray, so you set the ball,
set the ball. But but that's but that's why I know,
like I know the formula. But see here to say,
after I did Ray, every old black man script that

(10:09):
was trying to give to they want to do Marm's.
They want to I was like, come on, man, it
was it was crazy. Absolutely, We appreciate you for checking in.
You know, we support you. Next time you're in New York,
you gotta come up here. You gotta come see us soon. Man, man,
I'm coming. Thank you, Jamie and Hey, and go to
church and pray for Doug. Williams. Man, what happened? Go
to church and pray for Doug Williams. I think you
still got bad Calm on you for killing that boy.

(10:30):
Hey hey, but that was dark fall. Hey man, you
know how to look. Never let your comedy sword down. Man,
I always got mine, shot Jamie Fives ladies and gentlemen.
It's Breakfast Club. Good morning, Breakfast Club.
