Speaker 1 (00:00):
Listen. This is your week of Hallo Breakfast Club to
show you love to hate from the East to the West,
Coat dj Envy, angela Ye, Cholomagne. The rule is show
on the planet. This is where I respect this show
because this is a voice of society. James in the game.
Guys are the coveted morning show. What y'all earning? Epacting
(00:20):
the coach Sure wake up in the morning and they stayed.
Want to hear that Breakfast the world's most dangerous morning show.
Good Morning Usa yo yo yo yo yo yo yo
(00:41):
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo Yo. Angela's House,
Cholomagne was popping piece of the planet is Monday. Angela
Ye's out in Bahamas Ange leaving in the Bahammas. She
went to the Buju Bantan concert. Yeah, when Stella got
her groove back on her girls went out there and
I heard that we're going to check out Boo. I
(01:03):
heard that was the longest concert ever because you know,
Lord Duvall performed on that show, said he opened up.
They said Kodak Black performed as well. So it was
four acts, but they said the show ended at five
o'clock in the morning. Really, Vossa, he went on at
eight thirty. Then Kodak went on that too in the morning. No,
Bouji went on that too, and then Kodak went on
at four in the morning. Showed it in't into like
five thirty in the morning. Goodness gracious said. They said
(01:25):
people from the Bahama didn't even start getting there to him,
and well, that's the Caribbean for you, that's the West end.
They usually start a lot later. Yeah, but yeah, but
that's it. You're taken advantage of your whole stereotype of
Caribbeans by being that late. Goodness, crazy, my god. We
shout out to the troops in Bakron. I was in
Bakron for the troops Friday, so it's like a big
weekend for them. It's ah F one weekend when they
(01:46):
have the F one races, and it's just it's just dope.
You know that all the troops came out. They usually
don't get too many artists or too many you know,
I would say, anybody from the United States there. So
they all party. They gotta be out by twelve o'clock.
So at eleven fifty five, you start seeing all the
troops stick out ahad back to barracks. They gotta head
back to their cribs because they have to be back
in their house and by one o'clock. So but it
was a good time. So shout to all the troops.
(02:06):
They listened every morning, so on the Armed Forces Network.
Versus Club is syndicated on the Armed Forces Network. That's
one hundred and fifty countries on Forces Network. So good
morning to you guys. And after that, I did my
seminar out in Miami. Shout everybody that was in Miami.
You know. I did the real estate seminar. Why I
try to teach our community about real estate. It was
it was it wasn't um as big as a lot
of the other venues. We still had over six hundred
people there, close to seven hundred, but the power went
(02:29):
out in Miami, so it was just h but people
didn't leave, man, they didn't leave. They we talked about
real estate in the dark and people stayed the whole time.
So shout everybody that came out to our seminar in Miami.
And then on my way back, I got the I'm
gonna be honest with you. I'm in I'm sitting here
thinking this morning. I'm like, you know what, we were
talking about it and like not talking about it. It's
(02:49):
not gonna make it, not at all, not be true,
not at all. I don't even believe we're saying this
on a Monday morning. Yeah, we gotta say first, rest
in peace to Nipsey Hustle. I don't even sound right.
It don't sound right. It didn't sound right yesterday when
I heard it. Definitely don't sign right this morning. Not
Nipsey rest in peace. Nipsey a real good brother. He
died at the age of thirty three. Um. I know
(03:11):
a lot of people like to say things like that
when people passed away, like, oh, he was a good brother.
Not Nipsey was a really really solid individual, not even
just as a rapper, but as a man first and foremost,
you know what I'm saying, Like, like, you know, we
used to share books with each other together, Like he's
he's a very solid brother. It's always about you know,
healing with him and you know, just becoming a better
(03:33):
individual every day and helping himself to help his community.
Like not Nipsey, man, You're not supposed to take Nipsey out. Yeah,
Like I said, he's a good dude. I know him
for a long time. I know him when he had
before he was the Nipsey hustle that everybody knew and
people weren't necessarily sure if he could rap. And you know,
he was toying with def Jam at the time where
he was going to sign a deaf Jam and then
(03:54):
he was signed a deaf Jam and then the Jamaine
Duprie and and us kind of got him out that
situation so he could keep his man. And he's a
very smart businessman. You know. It's just very very very
sad they took Nipsey away, not not Nipsey man. And
please stop it. All these dumb ass conspiracy theories about
they killed him over Doctor C documentary. Doctor know that
that is not the situation. That is not the case
(04:16):
whatsoever this is. And that's another classic example of screet nonsense. Yeah,
people just go with anything. So, you know, we had
the pleasure of interview and Nipsey last year's last. We
interview Nipsey a few times, but the last one was
last year. It was last year after Victory Lap. Victory
Lap came out, So we're gonna get that on this morning. Man.
That was a very good but it was a very
good last me. What was some of my favorite interviews
(04:37):
last year? That was always at the top of my list.
And you know, Victory Lap was my favorite rap album
of last year, so that was a great conversation. Right,
all right, Well, nah, I can't even believe we're sitting
here hand rest in peace, Nipsey hustle on a Monday
morning to sense the senseless gun violence. All right, front
page News. We'll give you more details, We'll tell you
all we know about it, and we got more. Don't move.
It's a breafast club. Good morning. From experience, hiring is challenge,
(05:00):
but fortunately there's one place you can go where hiring
is simple, fast and smart, a place where growing businesses
connect to qualify candidates. That place is zip recruiter, dot
com slash Breakfast. It's been so challenging because we own
a business Juices for Life in Brooklyn, and the turnover rate,
I mean, there's a lot of people there is their
first job, or they're doing this as they're going to
(05:20):
school at the same time, so people's circumstances change all
the time. We're always having to hire new people, and
anybody that gets hired has to have a food handler's license,
so that also narrows down the playing field. Fortunately, with
zip recruiter, we are able to find qualify candidates. It
doesn't take too long, and we don't have to worry
about applicants who don't have that license. Zip recruiter makes
it so easy. Right now, my listeners can try zip
(05:41):
recruiter for free at this exclusive web address zip recruiter
dot com, slash breakfast that's zip recruiter dot com, slash
b r e A k f a st that's zip
recruiter dot com, slash breakfast, zip recruiter The smartest way
to hire morning. Everybody is d J M. V Angeli, Ye,
Charlomagne the God. We are the breakfast Club. Let's get
(06:03):
in some front page news. Now, if you watch college basketball,
the NCUBAA Final four is here, Michigan State, Texas Tech
and Virginia versus Auburn. Now Duke. Everybody thought, Duke, we
might have gold take it all the way. But no,
they lost to Michigan State sixty eight sixty seven. Yeah,
I could. I thought Michigan State was gonna be Dukee.
The only reason I thought Michigan State was gonna be
(06:23):
Duke is because Duke has had some very very close
games and the tournament thus far. So they looked ready,
but just not that quite ready, you know. And and
I do think, uh, you know, Michigan State is gonna
in the whole thing. I figured, like, whoever won between
Michigan State and Duke was going the whole thing. I
think Michigan State's going the whole thing. Now some sad
news who got to say rest in pieces? She just
joined us with saying rest in piece again. In the
Nipsey Hustle, he died at the age of thirty three.
(06:47):
He was at his store. He has a store called
Marathon in LA and three people. Somebody came up to
him and shot. Three people was shot, one died and
it was Nipsey Hustle. Three with rushed to the hospital.
M They just said the suspects as a blackmail in
his twenties. They said he fled on foot and there
was a driver waiting for him. They believed the driver
was a female. Oh yeah, the screets already know exactly
(07:09):
who it was. How I went down, So you know,
that young man, he might as well just go turn
himself into the police unless he just wants to die
on the screet because it's going to happen now. The
last thing, last thing Nipsey Hustle tweeted was having strong
enemies is a blessing. I don't know, man, this is
one of them that's very, very hard to process because
Nipsey Hustle was a very solid individual who was who
(07:31):
was putting out nothing nothing but positive energy. I mean
when I say nothing but positive energy, nothing but positive energy.
You know, he was investing into his community, he was
investing into himself as a human being. He loved his girl,
he loved his family. I don't know, bro, and y'all
ain'tupposed to take Nipsey out. And in all your individuals
that were posting the videos of Nipsy while he was
(07:53):
laying on the floor and blood was coming from like,
there's no reason. You're only doing that for yourself. There's
no reason to tape that. Not only tape it, there's
no reason to repost it. You're only reposting that for
your likes and for your retweets and for your comments.
And you know what else, I hate all you people
out there that you're saying things like, you know, pray
for pray for such and such when bad things happened.
I hope y'all actually pray before y'all post that. I
(08:16):
hope y'all don't post that and then don't put the
prayer behind it, because prayer really does change things. So
if you're just posting the prey and not actually praying,
it's pointless. I just rest in peace, and definitely rest
in peace and condolences to his family. This is one
of my This is one of those ones I just
don't understand. I mean, I understand because the streets is
just ignorant as hell, but I don't know. All right, Well,
(08:39):
we're gonna get on a Nipsey hustle next hour. When
when he was here last year, he was talking about
his album Victor Relapse. Sometimes we interview Nipsey over during
the Breast Club. I remember about three times. Are first
time was early early like twenty twelve, right maybe twenty eleven,
twenty eleven, twenty twelve. Then there was that no he
called you when when when you said something a little
(09:01):
lefty cold and check you, I was, why are you
bringing that up? Just remember I think we do bring
that up in the interview. Yeah, I think that was
that up here, or no, that was on Twitter. That
was on Twitter Twitter. Yeah, so I got it. We're
gonna get that back on. Don't move, get it off
your chest? Is next eight hundred five eight five one
on five one. If you need to vent, hit us
up right now. Maybe you had a horrible weekend, or
(09:21):
maybe you just want to spread some positivity. Hit us
up right now. The number again, it's eight hundred five
eighty five one on five one. It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning, the Breakfast Club, Wake up, wake up wall
your time to get it off your chest with your
man or black. We want to hear from you on
(09:41):
a breakfast block. Hello. Who's this? Hey? This is Masha.
He y'all, I'm well, Charla, I love you, I love
you more, Mysha, I love all y'all. Though, Vy, we're
gonna see you in Atlanta two that you're okay, I
can't wait to see you. Hey, what's up? Hey he's
(10:01):
in the Bahamas. Oh okay, what's up? I gotta get
some stuff off my tast what's up? So me and
my sister got a letter from Social Security Office to
another year saying that there was an over payment for
our so security benefits and we were minors and that
we needed to pay it back. So we go up there,
we fill out a waiver to get the money ways
(10:24):
because obviously we were kids, so we shouldn't have to
pay that back. And apparently I found out this week
that Social Kity office never even entered in any of
my paperwork, never even started the process. And then I
found out Saturday night that it was taken out of
my taxes. So damn, I just lost sixteen hundred dollars.
(10:44):
So you thought that money was coming, you was ready
to spend it. And then I mean, that's crazy. And
then the crazy part is my guardians also went and
got two credit cards in my name when I was eighteen,
and so they just see credits messed up. They just
out here. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, that's just crazy.
I'm sorry, mama, sixteen years ago, I'm sorry I lost Well,
(11:06):
I'm sorry, Mama, I can't That's all I say. Have
a good morning. However, now I don't fix my credit now.
But it's just things like damn, it's one thing after another. Well,
thank you for calling mama. Hello, who's this from Hey, Hey,
what's up? Bro? Are you doing? How you doing, sir? Okay,
I'm on on the on radio or what? Yes you are? Man?
Get it off your chest? Well? Well, I mean I was.
(11:27):
I was telling Andrew about the guys wearing two of
hair and you know they gotta struggle that he just
starting up. But more importantly is that it's one of
these people that are uh molested children and having sex
with these beliders and these rings they found out about
what them? You seak one about to take any of
these people to trial? I have no idea what you're told.
(11:49):
Are you talking about? You talk about the Catholic priests? Well,
I mean you had there, Peter Kate just was that one?
I mean, and these people are like untouchable. You know
who you come about? Man Hill, are was involved with it?
Everybody involved? I can't. I don't. I don't know what
I can't not this morning. I can't. Jesus Christ, I can't. Brandon,
what's up? Brandon? That was ing? What's up? My brother?
(12:11):
Get it off your chests? Bron Russell woke up this
morning seeing that a few times in La Man, I've
been to marriage on a few times. It was just
a rough situation waking up to that right there. Man, Yeah,
that that that one hurt, bro, everyone hurt that one.
That one hit different. Yeah, man, it was man like
you could good dude, for sure they did a lot
black n Yep, that was not the one that was
(12:34):
supposed to take away from him, my brother, definitely, definitely
not definitely not you two man, get it off your chests.
Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. If
you need to vent hit us uthing right now, it
was the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. This
is your time to get it off your chests. Whether
you're man or blast. So people have the same indutry.
(12:56):
We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club. Jamie,
come in, Hey Andy, how are you guys doing you good? Good? Good?
Get it off your chest. I am a wife of
a blended family. I had a daughter with a man
prior now I've remarried someone else. My daughter is twenty
three years old. I talked to you guys about her before,
and she's serving right now overseas, and I know she's
(13:19):
going to hear this on the radio or her podcast.
I am so sick of her going back telling her
birth father. What goes on in the house with me
and her stepdad. Her stepdad has doing her since she's
four years old. When she graduated the high school. The
first thing she told us, I'm grown. What is that
supposed to me? But we're still helping her out. I'm
(13:40):
so sick of it. Why you keep telling her what's
going on? If she's overseas, she should know what's going on.
She just left the goversea. She was in our house,
you know, and I just want her to Her boyfriend
told us she totally changed when she comes around her parents.
I know she spoiled. Each one of us have to
take ownership to that. But the bs that she shoots out,
(14:02):
I'm so sick of that. Well, life is short, mama listening.
Yes it is. And I'm her mother, I'm not her friends.
She talks to me like I'm a piece of crap. No,
I agree, I got that conversation with hard mean, life
is short, and she would overseas in the military. You
never know what's promised for tomorrow, so you should call
it up, talk about it and work it out. Yeah,
and you gotta remember you her mother, so you know
(14:23):
better than she does. So you can't be all in
your feelings the way that she is. Yeah, have a point.
Thanks guys, you have a great morning. I'm sorry about
your lord. All right, thank you, Mama, Trav. What's going on?
What's up? Trap? What's going on you? Hey? You're in
the Bahamas? Bro, Bro? Yeah, you in the Bahamas? How
you don't know? You in the Mahamas, the Mohammas. I
(14:44):
definitely should know that we're going on. I'm sorry, what's up? Says?
How are you? I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Listen man,
Um that definitely person. Want to say rest in peace
to nip Nipsey Hustle and um you know some crazy
that's you gonna call today anyway, Like even before I
thought of dude about Nipsy because I know if you
guys saw all like on the very first day of
warm weather that Philadelphia had, the news was talking about
(15:05):
everything that happened, what happened out there. Oh my goodness, man,
they had they had like they had like um, they
had like six six different people got shot, Like two
different people got murdered. They're really huge fight on South Streets.
Like two people got sad. There was like a whole
night of violence on Saturday and then you're talking about
it on the news. Man. It's just basically, yeah, listen man,
if you literally and one thing that bothers me if
(15:26):
you live especially if you live in a violent city. Man. Yeah,
I mean I've seen somebody that before, like in person,
like you should not be sharing stuff like that on
social media. Man. I don't know what's wrong with people
that they sit in and they and see it did
like somebody dying in the street and they pull their
camera out and record it. And then and then people
sharing on social media like so because people want because
because people do things for self serving purposes. They want
(15:48):
their lives, they want their retweets, they want to get
their comment slit. They don't got nothing to do with
sharing the actual information. They sharn't like, if anything, you
should be trying to help that man, not recording them. Yeah,
absolutely right. So I want to tell you man, like
because it was like next the whole energy was was
you know, building that community up, putting wealth into the community,
into the community, and nvy after you're doing this all
(16:09):
the time, like with your real estate and then building
up the black community. I understand when people say about you,
saying you out of touch because you're rich and all that.
But now, man, after keep doing what you're doing, keep
putting that energy out there. And man, all right, well
thank you, I guess thank you. You got it. Man
A good one. Bro alrighty, now get it off your chest.
Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. If
you need to vent, you can hit this up at
(16:29):
any time. Now when we come back, we got to
talk Beyonce. The NAACP Awards and you see it, neither
watch it? Are you damn right? I'll watch the NCP Awards,
the only one of the only award shows I actually
enjoyed watching. Okay. I was on a flight back from
Bahrn and it's Tambuda, so I didn't get to see it.
But we'll talk about it when we come back. It's
the Breakfast Club. Good morning, The Breakfast Club, blackcast, Monday Morning, boy, yeah, horrible,
(16:57):
Monday morning, man morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlomagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get
to the rumors. Let's talk to NAACP Awards. It's about
this is the rumor Report with Angela Ye on the
Breakfast Club. Now over the weekend, was the NABACP Image Awards.
(17:21):
Did you see him? Sure? Did watch them on on Saturday?
And no HD? Why TV one? N h D TV one?
What's up? Man? Seriously? Is it just my TV TV one?
Don't seem like it's an HD. No, I don't know.
I didn't. I didn't say got good programming on TV one.
I watched Good Times, I watch Unsensored, I watch you know,
Sanford and Sign when they on TV one. Why y'all
in an h D? I don't know. Well, anyway, let's
(17:41):
get to the awards. So what what was tell us
about the wards A little bit? Some of some of
the dope awards? Who won some of the dope awards?
You know Beyonce one Entertainer of the Year, which I
which I knew was gonna happen, because you're not gonna
have Beyonce in the building and not have Beyonce. Uh
come on that damn stage. Well, let's let's have Beyonce speech.
Regina King, I love you so much. You've taught us patience, persistence,
(18:04):
and how to be masterful in your craft. Chadwick Boseman
is teaching children to dream and to see themselves as kings.
Lebron James has taught us that strength of all forms
in leading by example and providing education for our kids.
Ryan Kolgod tells our stories in a way that celebrates
our history, improves that we do have power at the
(18:25):
box office. And I'm honored to be included among all
of you and to be a part of our vital, thriving,
beautiful community. You know what that was dope because she
used her a moment to lift up other people to
the other people she named were the people that were
against her in that category. And I just thought that
was dope because there really are no losers in that category.
But when you Beyonce, right, what statue can they give you?
(18:46):
That's really some type of validation, Like you're Beyonce already,
You're already certified. She used her moment the lift of
other people. I thought that was dope, dropping a clue
box to Beyonce. Damn it, when I am a pinket
smith went free those card that's own bias. And also
jay Z would up the President Award? Can we hear that?
Abraham Lincoln had a quote, it's not the amount of
years in your life, the amount of life and your
(19:07):
years the counting the end and that quote it embodies
my beautiful grandmother who am I like to dedicate this
award too. Her name is Hattie White, her and my mother,
Glory Carter. I grew up believing I could do anything,
that I can accomplish anything because of those strong women
in my house. I like to dedicate this award. It's
(19:28):
a beautiful woman in my life. It's Beyonce just because
of the white suit. I'm still confused about that award.
What president president of the ACP. I don't know President
Donald Trump, Barack Obama? Like, who what president? Like, I
don't understand what president gave hold of that award. I'm
still confused about that one. I don't know. And he
(19:49):
started it off kind of saluting the president. He was
making a joke about Donald Trumps and he says them
about Donald Gloves. I'm like, what president? He was confused.
I'm still confused. Okay, what president? I don't know, but
that is it now. Also, I heard that they told
everybody that was presenting, don't do any jokes about Jesse Smollett. Well,
Chris Rock didn't listen. They said, no Jesse Smollett jokes. Yeah,
(20:12):
I know, I know what a waste of light skinn
You know you know what I could do it that
light skin, that curl it had My career would be damn.
What the hell was he thinking? From now on? I
never know just your Jesse. From now on, you don't
even get the U no more that you was respect.
(20:35):
You aren't getting no respect from me. I think that
was part of Chris's joke though, him saying, uh, to
make no jokes. I don't think that double az PMGE
Awards called that much about jest to say not to
make no Jesse jokes. Jesse not eximpt from these jokes.
That's the kind of comedy. I like comedy that comes
from a real place. God damn it ain't now. I'm
also Kanye West announced that he will be doing Coachell.
(20:55):
I know at first they said that he wasn't awards
no that well we finished with that. That was always
gonna say what you gotta do you see Kanye, No
guy say that. Let's tell Kanye West. He announced that
he will be performing at Coachella. Announcement that we just
booked another show. We will be doing Sunday Service sun
(21:15):
Rise that Coachella. Kanye wants to be Kirk Franklin so
bad dropping a clue bomb for Kanye Franklin. No, that's stope.
I love what he's doing. If you don't know Sunday Services.
Every Sunday morning, he comes out there with a choir
and they play hip hop songs that they make religious
and making the gospel the best, best way to make
people feel, best way to make people forget that you
(21:37):
was embracing white supremacy and the Maga had to take
it back to the Black church, take it right back
to God. Absolutely right. So if you ever see Kanye
performing at Coachella doing Sunday Service with a Maga hat on,
you got a bomb on him. Bro, bring some tomatoes
just in case he tries to do something sported like that. Market. Okay,
all right, well that is your room or report now
(21:58):
when we come back. We got front page new will
give you all the details or Nipsey Hustle. Also the
Final four night keep it locked as the breakfast club
God Morning Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlemagne
the God. We are the breakfast Club. Now let's get
in some front page news. Now, the Final Four. If
you watch Ncuba basketball, a fourth left to Michigan State
(22:19):
versus Texas Tech and Virginia versus Aubur. Now, people were
kind of surprised that Duke lost to Michigan State. They
lost sixty eight to sixty seven. I kind of saw
that coming. Michigan State is a great team. I actually
feel like the winner of the Duke Michigan State game
is gonna win the whole thing. So I would put
my money on Michigan State to win the final four
at this point, right, and we gotta say, and this
(22:40):
is so horrible, let's say may rest in peace to
Nipsey Hustle. He passed away at the age of thirty three.
He was shot in la He was in front of
his marathon store. They said, I guess the sale came
up to him and fired a bunch of shots. Three
people were hit and he died, you know three, you know,
all three were rushed to the hospital. He was the
only one that passed away. So we just want to
say rest in peace and sent alcadoless to his family.
(23:03):
There was a picture if you've seen it. He was
just taking a picture with a young girl right beforehand.
So it's just very very sad. Man. Rest in peace.
He was a great brother, great brothers got the statement.
You know what I'm saying, Nipsey was all about building.
He was all about, you know, being the best version
of himself. He was all about investing back into his community,
you know what I mean. Like he was all about
just just just being healthy on all levels, mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally.
(23:28):
Like Nipsey was a really really good dude man. And
I really wish y'all would stop saying he got killed
because of a doctor CV documentary that he was working on. OA.
I really wish you all would stop saying that nonsense.
And his family and friends wish she would stop saying that. Okay,
you know, Nipsey didn't get killed because of a doctor
CV documentary, And if he got killed because of a
dumbass individual, if he got killed for the same reasons,
(23:49):
tens of thousands of brothers get killed every day and
that reason is absolutely nothing b screet nonsense, and best
believe the screets already know who did it. So you know,
young man, you can need to turn yourself in get
killed in the street. Either way, it's not gonna end
good for you. And the last tweety put out, which
was I believe an hour beforehand or beforehand having strong
(24:09):
enemies as a blessing. And that was the last tweety
put out before the incident. So I want to ask
some I don't ask y'all a question to everybody that
goes around spreading these conspiracy theories. The government will go
out of his way, the government with God. You think
the government with God of his way to kill Nipsey
hustle from making a documentary on doctor CB. Couldn't that
same government wipe away all information on doctor CB off
the internet? Couldn't that same government take out doctor CB's family, Like,
(24:30):
come on, man, stop with the nonsense. Understand it. Nipsey
got killed over some bs screet nonsense. You got killed
for nothing, nothing, absolutely positively nothing, by bye bye. A
sucker ass individual. And that's you know that, And that's
that's the crazy thing. You know, a lot of these
killings that are happening, or people that look like like
each other. You know, they're all black, they all they're
(24:51):
all from the same same area, same hood, same everything.
Why can't our own for what exactly? You don't you don't,
you don't know what, you don't just walk up on
Nipsey like that and in that area in front of
his store. That just doesn't happen. Okay, that's how you
know it was somebody from around that from around that way,
didn't rob them, like stop, Like it's for what took
(25:12):
that man's life? For what? That man has two kids, girlfriend, fiance,
over what, family over what feeds? The hood supplies and
and protects and continues to push people to rebuild, into build,
to buy real estate, into entrepreneurship and all that the
why the hood the hood far time often cuts his
(25:33):
nose off despite his face, like you're taking out people
who could be lifelines for the community, you know what
I'm saying. You wonder why people make it and then
they stay away from the hood. You got a brother
who made it, you know, and immediately took his money
and put it right back into his community, you know.
Like it's a lot. It's a lot of things Nipsey
had planned for that area that people may not even realize.
(25:56):
I'm talking about from the low income housing to you know,
teaching people how to do tech, all kinds of stuff. Man,
and y'all just took him out for what for what?
All Right, Well, when we come back. We're gonna replay
our interview with Nipsey Hustle. He stopped through last year.
We got a chance to talk to him about everything.
His album, Victory Lap came out right after Victory Lab Drop,
(26:17):
so we're gonna talk to We're gonna play that, so
I don't move, keep it locked. It's the Breakfast Club,
Go Morning, j Envy Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy. We
are the Breakfast Club now again. Rest in peace to
Nipsey Hustle. I believe we're really saying that on a
Monday morning. Man, It's like, it's a lot of things,
you know, you don't expect to say that definitely is
one of them. Right now. He was shot and murdered
(26:39):
over the weekend, and he stopped by here last February. February. Yes,
Victory Lap came out last year in February. You know,
Victory Lap is my favorite rap album in two and eighteen.
I think that I think he came here on like
the twenty if if I'm not mistaken, Yeah, feb we
added on the twenty first, So we're gonna get that
back on. We talked about so much that interview, so
(27:01):
that was a great interview. Man, it's like an hour
long and we covered a lot of ground in that interview.
You know, well, let's get into it. Now. What up?
What up? What up? What's up? My brother's deal? Bro? Now,
I don't know nothing about LA politics? But are you
allowed to weary that much? Read? I could do it,
I won't, Man, it's my brand, So you know what
I'm saying. Absolutely, I like I read look with gold,
you know. I mean people tripped like that with the
(27:21):
colors you wear or depend like Again, everybody knows who
I am far as where I belong, so you know
I'll be seeing like internet uh comments some time when
I'll be flamed up. But in La, you know what
I mean, we grew up. If you was a real one,
you can wear what you want. That don't really apply,
you know what I'm saying. If it's still heavy like
(27:43):
that though. I mean it's like if I'm in somebody
elsehood with a gang of red on and I'm not
a known face and I'm in a crip hood, Yeah,
it'll probably I probably get addressed, But I don't think
I had that problem. They'd be like, that's n it.
You know what I'm saying, congratulations on the album. Man. Finally, Yeah,
Victory Lapping stores, go grab that stream that all that
(28:05):
I've had too. It took too long, right, you had
a lot to prove on that, Yeah, I did. Let's
talk about it now. The album's built first and formal.
You love the album. I hear a lot that you
don't like weirdo rappers. Well, I think you're talking about
the line when I was like the saint this weird
rappings used to Yeah, I just feel like you know, um,
I felt pressure a little bit from where the game
(28:25):
is at. And it ain't no distant nobody specific, just
like it ain't in a direction of what we grew
up on in terms of like you gotta say something,
you know what I mean, You gotta be a man
of respect or a woman of respect, you know what
I mean? Even from like just the drug stuff, like
you know that was never glorified in rap culture. We
could almost like led by Scarface of jay Z or
(28:48):
Tupac lyrics if we ain't had no principles, like a
man around, we could live by the lyrics and come
out as a solid individual. So that's what I meant,
just as far as like you know, just returning to
that direction, I don't know like telling people what to do,
but just you know, try to represent the principles that
I grew up on in rap music. That's one thing
(29:09):
I like a bunch of music. It always has socially
redeeming value to it. On Dedication, you know, Kendrick says
that this man El said, do a song with nip
here better Crypa Kendricks that he a man first? Or
do you hear what he speaks about from black businesses?
The false imprisonments and he said, listen closest, bigger than
deduces and four. So is that a challenge for you
to get people to see you from more than the
stereotypical West Coast gangster Revere? I mean people people received
(29:31):
me based on what I said, so I wouldn't I
wouldn't blame people for that. I came in and said,
that's why I'm from and it's when I represent. But
it was for a reason I wanted. I wanted to establish,
you know, what I belonged to, and I looked at
it like jail. That's what I used to tell my
homies because even some of my homeboys would be like, well,
you can't come out talking about the hood and specifically
you know what I mean. When you walk into a dorm,
(29:53):
the first thing you establish is where you from, and
then from there you get into the person behind this.
Just in case whoever got a problem with this, where
your enemies is. You go to the back, you haund
of your business, and then you get into like, okay,
I could actually with you. You you know what I mean,
We get to know each other, but you get that
out the way first. And so um Also, I wanted
to I wanted my message to impact gang culture. You
(30:18):
know what I'm saying. I wanted what I had to
say to impact individuals like myself, young people. I was
in these areas that I was controlled by a gang banging.
I didn't want to appreciate the choir, but I wanted
to be able to say, you know, I'm one of you,
and where I'm gonna go, wherever I end up, you're
gonna You're gonna know that you can end up there too,
whether it's at the top of the game or in
a successful situation as a business owner. I came from
(30:41):
this and it's it's authentic and I'm not on the
outside of this culture. That's why I came in like
I came in. I wasn't trying to like be on
no super tough guys. You know what I'm saying. I
just wanted to be clear that you know, wherever I
take it, I'm not I'm not different. I'm exactly the same.
I've been through everything you've been through or you're gonna
go through as a somebody in that culture is what
(31:01):
is a better crip? What does that mean? I don't
know because I ain't saying, but what I would assume
Kendrick meant was that, um, somebody that is not one
bias or outside of communicating with a blood or somebody
from the other side of the tracks. Maybe that's what
he meant. That's what I took it, as you know,
(31:22):
But we had to ask Kendrick his his his take
on what he meant by that. You talk about the
West Coach's infrastructure. It was a period when you needed
adopted Drake co sign to get out of the West.
Why why do you think that changed? Drake Man he built. Uh.
I call it an island. If you look at music,
it's like three or four islands in rap music, you
know what I mean. And a lot of a lot
(31:43):
of things that you might not know, well y'all know,
but that the people might not know are connected to
these islands. They connected. You got to like Jimmy Iveen
doctor Drake Island, which you gotta lets start. The artist
Tupac came under that, Drake Snoop game. Um Kendrick, well yeah,
Kendrick is a part of the top Dog thing as well.
But it connects, you know what I'm saying. And so
(32:04):
then you got like the Leoor def Jam Island and
that not the island records. I'm just saying, you know
what I'm saying. Yeah, and rough Frauder's murder ain't Rockefeller, Yeah,
you know, um Kanye, then all the artists that came
out to ya fall under that, and then you got,
um whatever happened on Sony, you know what I mean.
(32:25):
And so it was one of them three options for artists.
And unless you you wanted to go what I called
just taking the stairs and figuring out how to how
to get into one of those situations as your own thing.
Top Dog did it. You know what I'm saying. Top
Dog created his own thing. And so that was my
goal to build an island myself. You know what I
mean I saw what even like Jay, they got rock
(32:47):
Nations that saw Island right. Absolutely, that's his own thing.
Even though it came from then being an artist connected
to another situation, they have turned that into its own operation.
What kind of conversations did you and did he have?
Because you and did he? Yeah, formed a relationship if
I assume through Lauren London and Cassie Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Book threw me Tolio. You know, no, I'm saying Lauren.
(33:09):
Lauren introduced me to Puff. I mean I knew Puff,
but it was it was more of a personal relationship
out to you know, uh we was at Cassie something
like that. You know who made you want to get
a old feel like? Did he and put him on Young?
That's crazy? Did he did? He chose Young? I'll try
to get you more rapper because I was. I was
referencing to Hate Me Now video and what what what
(33:30):
his his presence on that record with nas brought to it.
I'm like, look this this the record, this rapp. I
want you to get on this, put the mink on,
get in the video. We're gonna make a movie. And
he was like, um, he told me the whole story
behind that he like Broadbuster forty million out of check
a week before I did that movie, So I wouldn't
I mean that video, wow, So like that's that's the
energy you saw in that video, Like I wouldn't spend
(33:51):
all this dough on the chain and we got tigers.
He's like, I got the biggest check in my life. Yeah,
so he like we probably gonna be able to recreate that.
I'm saying, but you know, um, when I played the
rest of the songs for him, he heard Young and
he chose that record. Yeah, so you know, he just
went in the booth and then start you know that, yeah,
start gassing, you know, but even still like raps. He
(34:13):
gave me some real production advice on that record. When
I played it for him, it was different than what
y'all heard enough, yeah, and he was like, listen, bro.
He pulled up Natural warn Killers, Boy, Ice Cube and
Doctor Dre Like, this is what you're going for. This
is what y'all trying to do on this record. Maximize it,
make it sound like this. And we went back in
the studio and I played it for my producers and
then we turned it up and added a sin flead
(34:36):
all the way through so it sound more like West
Coast violent, you know what I mean? And I felt
what he said. After the fun I was a little set,
like what you mean, banging, but after I reapproached it,
it was room to make the record better. All right.
Well that was part one of our interview with Nipsey Hustle. Again,
rest in peace, Nipsey Hustle. If he just joined us,
we're reairing when Nipsey Hustle stopped through. When we come back,
(34:58):
we'll get in the part two about interview keeping lock.
It's the breakfast Club. Go Morning Morning. Everybody is DJ
Envy Angela Ye, Charlemagne the guy, we are the Breakfast Club.
If you just joined us, We're gonna re air our
interview with Nipsey Hustle. This is part two. Charlemagne, you
said with Hard Knock Life on the album, Yeah, yeah,
did you have to clear what do you have to
clear that? With jay Z? Okay okay, yeah, you know
(35:19):
what's crazy about that record? I thought you played the
keys over just where you have to clear us a
hard motivation recorde, hustling MOTIVASTI yeah, So when jay Z
got Annie to clear the record, I guess when he
paid him. He said, y'a gotta let every other rap
artists after me used it. Wow. Yeah, so that was
his that was his deal with with with whoever the
(35:40):
producers and dings, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, so
we benefited off his negotiation in nineteen ninety eight. Wow.
We just had to get jay Z to clear it
because when he cleared it with the owners of the copyright,
he made it to where any hip hop artist after
him could use the record. Jay did that, so hopefully
you don't have to go through that. Yeah. So everybody,
(36:00):
every hip hop artist gotta clear with Jay first. Where
they just need to skilled me. They just need the
jay Z clearance to any Clarence as good long as
they are hip hop artists. Jays always showed you love.
But didn't he buy like a thousand copies of your Crenshaw?
I was the thousand. He bought a hundred copies of Crenshaw.
That was one hundred dollars. Ok. Yeah, yeah, And now
you didn't even know him back then. Now. I mean,
you know, I met j in La years ago at
(36:21):
a concert. I was just backstage and I you know,
I ran up to I ain't run up to him
just like, what's up. I'm Nip, you know what I mean.
I'm from La Brom rolling sixties. He actually bought a
low rider. The story is, I ain't never asked him,
but he bought a low rider from one of my homeboys,
Money Mike. That's in the Maya video. That's to me.
They yeah, you know what I mean, he bought that
from one of my homeboys, one of my j homies
from La. I was an old school hustler. That was
(36:42):
really his. Huh yeah that was here. He bought that
being so real. Yeah yeah, yeah, that's confirmed, you know
what I mean. Wow. So I just was like, yeah,
I'm I'm Nip, I'm rolling sixties. He's like, nah, I know.
And you know, this was years before the Crenshaw thing.
He like, you know, y'all doing your thing. He keep going.
So that was the only come but we ever had
until the Crenshaw thing. But um yeah, Jake been a
(37:04):
hunted man, so you know what I mean, a lot
of love and now Blue Laces too, one of my
favorite records on the album You Make a Spook who
Sat by the Door reference you know about that man? Yeah? Absolutely,
But I don't I don't think you are spook sat
by the door. I think you're intended to pretty clip.
Well now, I would say so, but even to the
to the point made earlier. That's one of the reasons
I was so vocal about where I was coming from
(37:24):
and what I represented, because I knew, I knew who
I wanted to mobilize, you know what I mean. You know,
if anybody ain't seen that book, I mean, see that movie.
You read the book. It's about a gang member from
Chicago who, uh, you know, presented himself in a way
he never kind of cases he was. He was. He
had a clean cut look, and he infiltrated the CIA, yep.
(37:45):
And he became educated and became and basically he used
the agenda, which was to have a token in the
CIA for political reasons. You know, we're gonna speak blunt um.
He used it against it. And I think that in
terms of hip hop, if you think of the message
that they embrace, I feel parallel with like, you know
what I mean, the power structure. I don't mean the
(38:07):
culture hip hop, but the power structure music they got
prescribed personas they expect from us, you know what I'm saying.
So I feel like the way he used their intention
against him was was one of my underlying strategies. You know,
you gotta put the medicine in the candy. And it
was interested by that book. All his people used to
call him my uncle Tom and the coon, you know
what I'm saying. Yeah, but he was there working for
(38:28):
them the whole time. Yeah, and he and he I
don't want to go blow nothing up like he did
in the movie, you know what I mean, But just
in terms of being able to mobilize his homies toward
to a harder cause. You know, there's a lot of
little jewels that you're saying, And that's what I like.
Like I said, the medicine really isn't the candy, because Eve,
when you drop a ball, like about doctor Sevey. Yeah,
like just that one thing they killed doctor Sevey will
make somebody go research se Doctor ceb Take. I never
(38:59):
met him, I metis wife, and I take his products
for sure. Why did they kill all holistic doctors messing
up the medical You short stopping the grind. Why don't
you get killed for the hustling in front of the spot.
You're short stopping the grind? And they checked his billions,
You got that get flipped for a couple hundred thousand,
So you're playing with some pharmaceutical money, you know, and
(39:22):
what's crazy. I'm working on doing a documentary on the trial.
In nineteen eighty five, doctor Seby went to trial against
New York right because he put the newspaper cure age.
Did he did? He beat the case and he went
to federal court the next day and beat that case
on record, and nobody talk about it. We're still talking
to Nipsey Hustle. He's in the building right now. Now.
(39:42):
We happened with reboking And were you telling the rebok
the Rebok do the release that you were there? Nah,
I didn't. I didn't endorse me with Puma right recently. Um,
I don't want to go too deep into that because man,
I ain't I ain't uh faking. But I don't want
to go too far into details with the with the
other thing because it's something that we're gonna pursue. But um,
(40:06):
you know, it wasn't authorized, It wasn't authorized, and they
put all money in on the shoe. They put rich
rolling on the shoe. I don't even that's that's some gang.
You don't put rich rolling on the shoe. You know,
you gotta pay thousands of people. It's doing life in
jail that, you know what I mean, fall under that structure.
So you gotta be careful with that. You know, I don't.
(40:27):
I'm not even taking a check for nothing. To say,
Rich Rolling, I would have told him. I'd have told
the designers, no, bro, stay clear that you can't copy right.
It's like putting crip on a shoe or something. Who
you're gonna pay And that caused the problems for you, like, oh,
you got paid off and not even outside of that,
because if if I was right, I would I would
stand on being right. That's not right. I'm not. I'm
(40:49):
not the beneficiary of that. You can't just pay me
and think that. And they, by the way, they didn't
pay me. But you can't just pay me and think
that we paid nip Man he speak for the nab Ross.
I got a hundred years. You know what I'm saying,
what I looked like taking a check. I can't do that.
I'm grinding all my life. You tell a story where
somebody got stomped out, and you say fifty and midweather
(41:10):
bounced from y'alling big, Because what was that that was
a long time ago man at the club. Me and
YG was performing that in Vegas called Strip Hot, and uh,
you know somebody Melee broke out and uh, you know
it ain't going a nice favor. It didn't that started it,
and uh just so happened. Fifty and Mayweather was in
the club. You know, they had all the cars and
(41:31):
it really just come to show up and uh, you
know it made the news. It was a big old thing.
But tried to robbers, you know what I mean. Like
somebody was waiting outside in my section. It was all
girls coming into section and take pictures. And you know,
you be in a section, your chain hang, you stand
on the couch and you know, somebody was like, where
are you from? One of the things you're a fan.
(41:51):
I'm like, hunt, you got my concert? You don't know
what I'm from? From La bro He's like, no, where
are you from? And I frowned. I guess my homeboys
seeing me frowning, don't fending. And then it just a
big my life broke out, you know what I'm saying.
But yeah, that's what that was about. It's on YouTube.
Those footage is on YouTube. But fifty and maywey the
bound for y'all, like they need they need to get
out the club. Well, you that was probably taking out
(42:14):
of context. They left the same time twenty thirty security
or fifty was it with fifty thirty people? So yeah, yeah,
that was good money on. I wasn't saying like they
needed our help. It's just like, you know, a little
fact they was in the building, and you know that
got footage and floored on the internet arguing with the
police in the front of the club. You know, I
(42:36):
just I'll be trying to revolve around really that took place,
you know what I mean? Just to go back to
the doctor seventy three real quick? What makes you want
to do a documentary? Okay, get it right, man, it
makes you want to do a documentary about doctor ceb.
I think the story is important. I think it's a
powerful narrative, you know what I mean. And I think
if imagine this, anybody in this room, if I could say, hey,
somebody cured age, I'll be like, yeah, right, and then
(42:59):
I can show you an example of him going a trial,
improving in a court to a jury that he cured
a's I'll be interested in that absolutely, and y'all will
look into the way he did it, right, So I
feel like more soul than like champion. His products or
explaining his methodology put some light on that case. Imagine
(43:21):
being able to cure cancer or being able to cure
any type of herpes and all kinds, and that's what
he do about what he did. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he
used to send all types of vitamins up to the station.
Yea herpes. No, I said vitamins. Did you hear me?
I said, gys crazy? All right? That was part two
of our interview with Nipsey Hustle. With re airing our
(43:43):
interview he stopped through last year, and let's get on
a Nipsey Hustle mini mix, play a couple of his
joint So, I Sai, don't move. It's to breakfast club?
Good morning? Was it, Nipsey Hustle mini mix? If he
just joined us again, rest in peace to Nipsey Hustle.
He was killed over the weekend and we're replaying an
interview that we did with him a year ago, all right,
so let's get back into that now. Nipsey, you were
talking about Cardi and her wearing different colors. No, that's
(44:06):
not what I said. And you know what I mean.
Just yeah, I like Cardi B Cardi B Di diverse
for me. Yeah, that's that's that's a fact. Like anybody
don't like Cardi day a hater. I used to watch
her I G clips and be laughing, like this girl crazy,
But her personality is golden, you know what I mean.
But wrong is wrong? Right is right? Bro, That's what
(44:28):
I grew up on that loved me. Bro gonna tell me, Bro,
you was wrong? Right? All right, don't tell me that
in public. Wait till we get back to the hood.
I might set off a melee and we gonna fight
with me. But when we get back to the hood, Bro,
that was But don't do that. You're gonna have us.
You're gonna get us in a wreck. Wrong is wrong, Right,
it's right. That terminology she used is like real nook.
Let me just for the record, that's how bloods talk.
(44:50):
Blood says crab, bloods say flute, crips say slop, crips
say dead like the files. With all my homeboys, I'll
be like, bro, give me a dead boy. That's how
we talk. But I'll be intentionally respectful on the record
because we're talking about a public environment, which is the
(45:11):
music industry. You feel what I'm saying. We saw what
happened with death Row, So we're gonna set tripping public
You're gonna get count on camera squabbling. You're gonna violate
while you were three hundred million sugar night. You're gonna
go to the pen. Pockey gonna die right around that happened.
That was game banging, That was set tripping publicly, So
(45:33):
we would be bad leaders to read create that. What
about somebody like Takashi sixth nine. I don't want to
talk about other people for real. You know what I'm saying.
I feel I feel my own way about it, but
God bless everybody. Man, get your money. You feel me
what I said about Cardi big ask me and so
I spoke on it. But I don't want to hate
on Cardi. B get your money. Cardi. I respect what
(45:54):
you're doing. You know what I'm saying. She done a
verse for me. I see to me goes, I shake
their hand. I'm saying I respect her. Come up, she
came from the gutter about saying disrespectful things on I
G I'm gonna always be like that. Ain't the move,
That's not That's not what you're supposed to do. Now,
do I tell you what to do? Nah? You get
(46:15):
it how you live. If you like it, I love it.
I just know me and mine. We're gonna move this
way because I'm always stand on what I do. So
that if I walk into a room full of bloods
and I ain't gonna be like, oh, they go to slobs,
I'm not gonna talk like that, because that's that's called
being a cell soldier on some jail. You know what
I'm saying, Get that's in the cell, popping it because
(46:37):
you can't get touched. You're hiding behind the cell. You
know what I'm saying, pop the gates. Talk like that.
If you ain't gonna talk like that, then keep it
one way. I've been in a tank with a hunted
bloods before. I'm from six old crib. I ain't gonna
call the slops to kill me. But I ain't even
this is where I'm from, homie. You feel what I'm saying,
(46:58):
and so same the other way around. I've been in
dorm with a hundred crips in two or three bloods
and it ain't using that terminology. They not. That's just
against the laws of nature. This is just self preservation
gonna prevent you. I'm talking like that. That's what I
was speaking on. But for the record, and just for
the New York bangers, I respect reals everywhere in every
(47:22):
city and state. You can't take that from nobody. Gang
culture came from out of LA I don't mean it
ain't real to New York that pushing aligned as bloods
and crips. But we gotta be honest. We gotta speak honestly.
We can't be political about the dead and doing life
for you know what I'm saying. So that's that's that's
(47:43):
my stance on it. But like I said, everybody get money. Man.
I respect Carty, you know what I mean. She linked
up with with Wacko. One of my respect he had
pool And you know I ain't mad out of deal thing.
I just my personal opinion. It's in your interest not
to be public this in gangs, you know what I'm saying,
unless you want to put your security at risk, because
(48:04):
it ain't gonna be you shooting or getting shot at.
You're gonna be pushed into the car. You know, we
were talking about checking in and how do you feel
about checking in? Because I mean, it's it's a big thing,
especially in LA. You know what I mean, because it's
so open, and you mean, you could drive in a
block in LA one block, it'd be a sunny, clean block,
mixed block, you in the middle of the hood. Yeah,
checking in is it suggests friendly extortion when you say
(48:27):
checking in. A relationship is different because we all need relationships,
you know what I'm saying. I'm sure when you travel
you from New York, but you got relationships all over
the country, Charlotte, man, you got relationships all over it,
and I'm sure you do too, and a relationship I don't.
I don't believe in fake relationships. So it just established
genuine relationships. Everywhere you go, you'll be in a better position.
(48:50):
And you do that off being respectful and being you know,
you're reciprocated. Somebody come to your city, Bro, you need something,
whether it's a car, some weed, you know what I mean,
and you want to go somewhere to eat what you need?
You out of town. I got you, not just some
protection you feel me, So I wouldn't say to check in.
I don't know about that, but just I got relationships
(49:11):
in New York that it's respect. When I pull up.
You know what I mean to make sure I got
whatever I need. Same in La, I can get you
from the airport. Bro. You could take my car. You
could come to my store. You could you meet my homeboys.
You could get numbers. If you any problems or whatever,
just call in or you want to know where to
go eat at. That ain't because you had to, That's
because specially Yeah, we get strengthen numbers and we only
(49:32):
from one place. You know. My last question for Nip Man,
because I'm riding in the car and I'm like, boy,
Nip gonna get into for this. You said that your
mistress is creole. How do you get away with that? Man?
It's music man, I said, I said, my wife is
a cno. I said this life is a free throw
my life. My wife is a cno. But my mistress
is creole. You know that was that was number one.
(49:55):
I recorded that before me before I had a girl.
For real. That's that's the That's a fact though I
ain't just But then again, this music man like my
girls an actress? If she kissing on camera, what I'm
gonna be mad? No, do your thing. I love I
love the fact that you said your girls so you're
back together, Y'll go yeah, yeah, yeah, were solid players
up too. Man. That's all I'm saying about that. Never
(50:17):
even because she don't play. Yeah, no, run down on you. Yes,
she ran down on you know. Charlotta Magne went hard.
You know what I'm saying. But yeah, boogie boogie boogie man.
You know, she knows how to defend herself and stand up,
you know what I mean. And you know she from
la she grew up. Um. A lot of people might
think she got a privileged background. She ain't got no
privilege background. Think she's new new in real life, that's yeah, yeah, yeah,
(50:40):
yeah no, but she comes from lag Man and you
know what I mean, she's seen Charlotte Mayne zero then,
but she told I told her. I told her from
jump though. I'm like, you're gonna meet Charlette Magne and like,
Charlotte man, respect Charlotte man, you know what I mean.
Charlotte Maygne known for being honest and you know what
I mean, ruffling feathers, but I know his stance and
I'm like, y'all got the similar mentality in terms of
(51:00):
like what's right? You know what I'm saying. So yeah,
she she got a lot of love and respect for you.
We appreciate you joining us. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, And
it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Yeah. This is the
rumor report with Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. The
(51:23):
shout that did he if you see Diddy out there,
give Diddy a hug? Did He posted a picture of
his ex kim Porter and um, he posted a picture
He basically said he remembers her flying to see him
for a video shoot, just talked about their love, how
much he loved her, and people started leaving comments and
I'm tired of seeing Did he go back and forth
with these people? Because did he? Don't owe nobody no
(51:43):
explanation as to why he did certain things in his
life the way he did them. So one of the
comments was, you had all his love for her secretly,
but yet dated other women when she was living? Oh god,
shut up? So did he respond? Um? And then the
lady was like, why didn't you marry her? Did he responded?
I was scared? And somebody else said, and you never
have I married her? Why? Yes? I said that you
fake my opinion? Did he respond? It never fake. I
(52:05):
wasn't ready and that's that I'm ready now, but it's
too late. Don't be like me. Did he understand that
none of these people really care. They just are happy
to be getting a response from Diddy. And somebody said,
definitely should have made her wife. Did he responded, facts city,
They only leaving those kind of comments because you're responding
to people leaving those kind of comments. And then somebody says,
(52:25):
but you ended up messing with Jalo at that time.
Did he said? Yes? I did? Oh? Why did he
responded to everybody? Man? Man, listen, man, God bless everybody?
Y'all wild for no reason. Leave people to hell alone.
Let people grieve the way that the man I didn't
shout out to Diddy. All right now, little Wayne. He
reportedly paid up the irs fourteen million dollars. It's hurt
(52:47):
my heart this weekend. He was accused of missing seven
million dollars tax payment in twenty eleven and another six
million payment in twenty twelve, So that's a total of
fourteen million dollars. This is another thing that hurt my
heart this weekend. Reason this hurt my heart is number one.
It was so bitter sweet because I felt good that
the brother was able to pay fourteen million dollars in taxes, correct,
But how the hell do you end up on fourteen
(53:08):
million dollars in taxes? Please lord? But I mean, I
don't want to say that's a good problem, but you
know that means you know how much money he had
to make to old fourteen million years. But it's not
a good problem. Okay, anytime you got an older iris
that any amount of money is not a good problem.
But for eight million dollars, come on, man, Now, there
was rumors all weekend long that jay Z paid part
of that or paid some of that, So I'm not
(53:29):
I'm not sure, but I've seen those going around. But
I mean, fourteen million dollars is a lot of bread.
And if you think about it, that was at the
time allegedly where he wasn't getting his money from burd Man,
and he probably all the money that he made, he
had bills, he had expenses, he has kids that he
was probably just paying all his bills until he got
his money. So he got his money in. He don't
know what the reason fourteen million dollars. All I know
(53:49):
is that story hurt me this weekend. I definitely called
my account. I was like, will be good man, Man,
that's all you want to know. Sometimes I just saidill
be good, all right. He said, yeah, we're good, So
I'm good, all right, all right now. And lastly, Takashi's
ex managers shoddy, do we have audio? We have audio?
This right? It looks like, uh, he pleaded guilty. He
took it. I guess he took a guilty play and
(54:10):
he's gonna possibly serve up to fifteen years in prison.
All right. He uh is saying that Takashi broke every
code and every rule out this mother effa. He said
he's an ungrateful rat bastard. And that's pretty much it.
That's the screets. That's what happens in the streets. When
you live that kind of like style, you know you're
gonna end up one or two places jail, a dead jail.
(54:33):
So you know he's in jail, he does does he
hopefully he makes it to his fifteen years and he
comes home up better and change man. Yeah, because it
could be a lot worse. He could be dead. Yeah,
that's true. You know. All right, Well that is your
room or report now, Charlemagne. They sucks. I just want
you to know that Monday today today sucks in fact
that Nipsey Hustle is dead is horrible. Like this really
(54:55):
is a terrible way to start the month off. And
every month is something new. Well know what I'm saying.
You start off in January, it's something everybody can laugh
at like Soldier board, and February is Jesse Smollett. The
last month is r Kelly and Michael Jackson. What did
this month bring? Something that none of us want? This
sucks plays the horrible Monday. Let want you to know
(55:17):
that I'm not in the mood for nothing. To be
honest with you, Well, you gotta get your donkey somebody, bro, Yes,
I do so. I guess we can turn this into
a teachable moment in some way, shape or form. We
need our guy, Marie Hardwood to come to the front
of the congregation. We'd like to have a world with him.
Maybe we can have a conversation about etiquette when it
comes to you know, women and other men's women. Okay, right,
all right, both, okay, all right, let's get into it now.
(55:40):
Don't get the day is up? NeXT's the breakfast Club.
Good morning, the breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be
the same. Hey, what up? Y'all? As DJ envy and
I'm excited to check out The Last Og. It's back
with new episodes only on TBS with Tracy Morgan Tiffany Hatters.
The show has me crying with laughter. And don't forget
it was the number one a new cable comedy of
(56:01):
twenty eighteen. Don't miss The Last Og tomorrow ten thirty
nine thirty cent you only on TBS. Don't he a date?
You get dunk day? You are adrect you. I'm gonna
(56:21):
fatten all that around your They want this man's too,
Dogan Blowers man. They wait for Charlomagne to have to
make a judgment. Who was gonna be on the donkey
of the day. They chose you the practice club bitch.
Who's donkey of the day to day? Yes, don't here
to day? From Monday April first goes to my guy,
Amory Hardwick goes from Power. That's all guy, okay, But
(56:42):
don't here to day is not discriminating. This is a
very teachable moment. What we need to teach to day
is the proper procedure for greeting another man's woman. Now,
I don't care if that woman is your friend, are
a complete stranger. I don't care if that woman's man
is your friend. Are a complete scranger. It's just certain
things you don't do when you greet somebody else. It's
significant other are you know women in general? Now I
have to explain this to you because unless you are
(57:04):
watching us on revote, you can't see the visual. I'm
sure you saw this online. But the twenty nineteen NACP
Image Awards was this past Saturday, and Sir Carter from
Brooklyn and Your Highness from Houston commonly known as jay
Z and Beyonce were in attendance and everyone came to
pay their royal respects. Now, I've had the pleasure and
privilege of meeting Beyonce a couple of times in my life,
and both times I greeted her, I looked during her eyes,
(57:26):
shook her hand. I said, hello, peace, queen. How are
you you know? Introduce it to my wife? She shakes
my wife hand. You keep it moving? Why? Well, one,
because to meet that's the respectful thing to do. I
used to be an extreme hugger. I still am, but
nowadays if I don't know you like that, nope, okay.
I don't want to violate anyone to make them feel
like they have to hug you because you went for it.
I don't know Beyonce like that, so I would never
(57:48):
all right, I don't know what her greeting is. She's
from the South, so she could be one of those women.
When you reach her hand, she says, no, I'm a hugger.
If that's the case, cool, You give her a hug
because she told you to light little squeezes, keep it moving. Now,
I highly out Beyonce moves like that with no. I'm
gonna say ninety seven percent of the people she ain't counters.
You can't just hug. Beyond say you shouldn't just hug.
Beyond say, you shouldn't just hug any woman you don't
(58:09):
know like that, especially when she's with her man. Show
some respect, Okay, I don't. I don't do that to
any of my homegirls. I don't do that to anybody's girl.
The most I would do is give my home girl
a hug if she's with her man, and there won't
be no long, tight embrace, something quicken to the point.
But Amari Hardwick doesn't have bude by those rules because
you as you can see if you're watching Revolte, Amari
hugged Beyonce and he kissed her on the cheek. The
(58:33):
seconds later he kissed her on the cheek again. Now
this could just be me, but I felt like I
saw Beyonce looking like, homie, you're doing too much. But
even if Beyonce was perfectly okay with it, my brother's no,
all right, that is not properly etiquette. When greeting someone
else's woman doesn't have anything to do with her man
being insecure. It's no twisted definition of toxic masculinity. You
(58:55):
shouldn't do that simply out of respect, respect for that
woman's bondaries and respect for her man. Amara got a wife.
I would love for someone to show Amara that video
and ask him how he would feel if someone did
that to his wife or envy. What what if a
man did that to your wife? Um, if I was
there like that, Yes, I mean we didn't have some problem.
We have some furniture moving. He didn't gonna say all
(59:17):
that furniture. He did a little too much, too much. Yeah,
I mean a guys grabbed your ass in front of
your wife. So that was a little bit too much too.
So I just want to I just want to put
that out there he didn't. He didn't grab my ass.
He smacked masks and said, good job. This difference, it's
like you know when you play basketball. Okay. But I
think Amara got caught up all right. I think Amara
got so excited to be c beyond say like a
(59:38):
lot of people do, that he lost his cool. But
the reason this is a teachable moment is because we
as men have to learn our boundaries. You should not
feel entitled to kids any woman once or twice, you know,
without her permission. I was reading an article in New
York magazine by a woman named Lucy Flores. I think
you pronounced that she was a nominee for lieutenant governor
in Nevada back in twenty fourteen, and she told a
story about former Vice President Joe Biden coming up behind her,
(01:00:01):
putting two hands on her shoulders, leaning into her, and
kissing her on the back back of her head. Now,
Joe Biden says never did he believe he acted inappropriately.
If it is suggested he did so, he will listen respectfully.
He also said that America has arribbed at an important
time when women feel they can and should relate their experience,
should be able to explain their experiences and men should
(01:00:22):
pay attention, and Joe Biden says he will. He is
absolutely right, And I hope Omar is not watching all
his backlash and feeling defensive because I'm sure his intentions
weren't disrespectful, but that doesn't mean it wasn't disrespectful. Intention
is one thing, but impact is another. And Omari, when
women are telling you that you did something inappropriate, like
so many of them are telling you online right now,
(01:00:45):
we need to just shut the hell up and listen.
And fellas we need to learn from the mistakes of others.
Please give Amar hard with the sweet sides of the Hamletones.
Oh no you are dogee, Oh the day, oh the day.
(01:01:11):
I feel free to tell me if I'm reaching a
little bit or people online are reaching a little bit,
because I just feel like that was improper etiquette to
do it wasn't proper etiquette. I don't think he I
don't think he meant to kiss y. I don't think
he meant to kiss her that close to her lips um.
But I do think he was doing too much. But
it could have been a lot of anything. It could
have been. You know, they were at the Double ACP Awards.
Maybe he had a little too much to drink. Jesus Christ,
(01:01:33):
he's gonna say the man was drunk all of this guy.
Maybe he was because yeah, that's not like, that's not
something you do. Maybe he was nervous, he was kind
of I think he shot because he was Beyonce excited.
He was a little you know, starstruck. Could have been that,
That's what I think it was. It could have been
it could have been a bunch of that because he
held a little too tight, Like that was a little
too tight. Tell me, maybe it was a little too tipsy.
You don't do that a normal person. You just ain't
(01:01:54):
go no, you ain't just gonna hold you were like,
all right, once again, where is Julius? Whenever we see
beyond getting the attack, that's not attack, that's not it's
by a fan. And I'm talking about the actual the fan.
Remember the fan is Julius in these situations. I don't know,
but he didn't get attacked there. But let's open up
the phone us right, eight hundred five eighty five, one
(01:02:17):
oh five one. What's proper etiquette when talking to someone's
girl a wife, that's right? Think about it. You killed
Silver for the same type of stuff goes, I'm with you.
I like a good handshake, I look you in your eyes.
Shake and then every once in a while somebody else say, hey,
you know, we don't do handshakes. We do hugs. And
then you just get him a little, quick little hug. Oh,
keep it moving and count how long this hug was played?
(01:02:38):
One more time. Let me come, let me see. All right,
there goes you know, he takes a picture of hold
let me come all right. Then he goes kiss one, two, three.
That's too many. That's too many. He didn't go that fall,
he didn't go that phone is about four dollars or
six second hug and kisses. See, wow, that's too far.
Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one? What's
(01:02:59):
proper etiquette when talking to someone's wife? A girl? Are
just women in general? Look, he can't get pepper sprayed? Where?
Where was Ti? Ti? Where? I don't know? Call us
up right now, pepper spray somebody in a minute. That's
my stuff like that. It's the breakfast club. Good morning,
the breakfast club. DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy.
(01:03:23):
We are the breakfast club. Now, if you just joined us.
Charlomagne gave Amari hard awake donkey of the day, yes, man,
and salute is listening to the Breakfast Club right now,
Man fifty, get your man all right? Somebody passed to
scrap the hole, Okay, goddamn it. I can't believe that
what I just witnessed. But I gave Amari donkey the
day because I just feel like he violated. You know
what I'm saying. He gave Beyonce a six second hog
(01:03:45):
but in two kisses. But this is what I was thinking.
This is what I was thinking. Right, They are pretty cool.
They've been in movies with each other before, so maybe
they are the movie together where she was No, because
nobody we would remember about beyond. I ain't been in
that many movies for us not to remember. I don't
feel like you violated. And it's not even about Beyonce
(01:04:06):
being somebody's woman. Right, as a man, if you don't
know a woman like that, you shouldn't hug her, and
you damn sure she shouldn't kiss her twice in the face,
not in this error. Yeah, I'm with you, like you
know it was. It got to be like a two
second rule or something. One second rule. He was holding
up for four seconds and he double kissed. Now he
got a little line, have you ever met beyon Yes,
(01:04:28):
what did you? How did you agree? Beyonce? I kiss
beyond the check? Wow, that was before hold though, that
was a long time ago. Time times. Send me to
Peppers praying, Peppers praying before you don't worry about the time.
That was a long time ago. She came to the
radio and she gave me a hug and a kiss.
It was like it just had to be a long
time ago. Beyonce was doing radio that it was a
long time ago. This is what I was on the
(01:04:49):
other station. This had to be when Beyonce was doing
Destiny's Child. Nah, this was maybe her first solo. I
did radio in twenty years. It's about twenty years ago.
Probably probably walked into a radio station. And at least
eighteen years let me see, that had to be walking
to a radio station. And sixteen years ago her her
mom walked in a matter of fact, I was in
the hall. It was WBLS. She wasn't she wasn't been
(01:05:10):
there for some charity. She was not dead, but she
was not all right. And then you'd be hard pressed
to find a Beyonce radio interview. It was it was
during that time she was actually there doing some reads
or some drops or something like that. I've met Beyonce twice.
Both times I've shook in her hand. That's it, and
I would't even think of doing anything else. And then
when she was with Ja, I met her in the
club a couple of times and I just shook hands,
(01:05:30):
ain't good to see you and kept it moving. That's it.
Then that's the way it should be. I don't know
what the hell made on't Marie think that he could
hug Beyonce for six seconds and kissed her twice on
the cheek. You think you would think jay Z is silver? Hello?
How you doing? What's up? Bro? That we're talking? Mario Hardwick? Right?
What's the proper etiquette when talking to someone's wife? Man?
I presson believe you should just shake her hand, that's it.
(01:05:53):
I don't think you should be she reached for a hug,
that's different. But you hug her, kissing hard and cheek twice,
and that's what they do. That's what I said. If
she says you're am a hugger and she and you're
leaning for a quick hug cool, but going in for
the hug yourself. Man. Stop being scared. Man, I'm Brooklyn
and that's how you acting well Black you're doing now?
(01:06:15):
My car worker, man, he wanted to put in his
two sets. When you're scared to get on the phone.
I was like, I was looking from Queen Charlan for
South Carolina. Hello, who's this? Yes, this is Tanya. Hey Tanya?
What's proper etiquette when talking to someone's wife? Envy? First
of all, you're very insecure. Yeah, you have insecurities. Why
are you gonna move furnitures and Charlemagne, you're actually reaching
because he's embracing the queen. You guys are taking it
(01:06:38):
and blue it out of you. Ain't gottabrace the queen
twice media And yes, I am insecure, I admit it.
That's part of my whole thing of a minute. I
don't think it got anything to do it in security.
I think you got to do a respecting women's boundaries. No,
it is. It is just insecurity because he's embracing the Queen.
We don't know what type of relationship they have for you.
The girl had to say, Okay, he's kissing her too close,
(01:07:00):
he's holding all too tight. Stop it so you don't
think Beyonce looked uncomfortable in no way shape before? She
did look uncomfortable after, Yes she did. Did you see
the video? No, I hope every man you meet today
hugs you for six seconds and kisses you twice on
the mouth. And I don't have a problem with that
because guess what, anyone that hugs me I have to
know them. No, no, no, no, no, no no no.
(01:07:23):
You guys are blowing it out of proportion, and so
is actually social media as well, and you're encouraging it.
You guys, has to stop so you don't think we
should be in place, So you don't think we should
see Yes, you don't think we should Envy and Charlemagne
do you? Guys? Has got to encourage us to love
each other. Stop it will. I may encourage us to
(01:07:43):
love each other, but if a group of women tell
me that what another man did to a woman's inappropriate,
I'm gonna stopping. Listen. I think that's just common sense.
No it's not. It's not inappropriate. Okay, well I hope
it's not inappropriate. You don't know, like I say, I
have to read it rate we don't know what the
relationship that they have. Her man is staying right there.
(01:08:03):
I don't think he was ever disrespect jay Z staying
it right now. You have a boyfriend husband, Man, you
have a boyfriend husband. Yes, I do, Yes, I do.
I'm actually married. Okay. Now, if a woman came to
your husband, kissed him one time on the cheek and
hugged him from braised him for six seconds and the
kiss him to getting, no problem because I'm secure with
my man security. But I'll tell you what myself. I
(01:08:25):
hope I gotta stop. I hope that you get hugged
by every man you meet today and kiss twice. And
I hope my Friday, you gotta be cold, soul and
the flu. You just you just wish herpes on a woman.
Guys just wish herpes in a woman. Eight hundred five
A five one on five one. What's proper etiquette when
talking to someone's wife? Call us now it's the breakfast club,
(01:08:47):
Good morning, wanting everybody's DJ envy Angela yee, Charlemagne the guy.
We are the breakfast club. Now if you just joined
Charlemagne gave him Urray Hardwick donkey of the day. Yes,
for violating Beyonce's boundaries. I don't know, man, Maybe this
is just me, but I just feel like we as
men sometimes we don't realize how we make women feel.
(01:09:07):
And I was just reading this article from the New
York magazine a couple of days ago about Joe Biden
and how you know, he walked up behind this young woman.
I think her name was like Lucy Flora. He said
he didn't do it, though, but well, no, he didn't
say he didn't do it. He no, he said that
he didn't feel like what he did was inappropriate. I
thought he say, didn't recall do he said he believed
He said he does not believe he acted inappropriately, but
(01:09:29):
he said if it's suggested I did so, he will
listen respectfully the same way. I don't think that Amary
Hardwick meant to disrespect beyond say, you know what I'm saying.
I just think that sometimes we as men, we just
do things, and you know, we feel entitled to things,
and sometimes we overstep our boundaries a lot of bit right.
And I think that in this case, this is what
Amary Hardwick did. Now I said they were in a
movie together, they were actually in the family feud video
(01:09:51):
with each other beyond Ja and Omar, so they might
be they might know each other well. And that was Hey,
I know you well, but I still think it's a
little too much for me. Put you in a video.
Don't mean that you can help my wife for six
seconds and kiss her twice. It was four seconds before,
now six seconds. Kids off in four seconds. I was
giving you at least three seconds of kids. But if
you get two off in four seconds, you wowing ghost. Well,
(01:10:12):
let's go to the phone. We have Angela online, Angela.
Good morning, good morning, good morning. We're asking what's proper
etiquette when you're talking to someone's wife. Hands off period,
hands off period. You know, I don't think staring hello
goodbye like you said, look at them in the eyes
and say hello and keep it moving. In the hood,
(01:10:33):
we all know that that's something worse. You don't have
to say, you know, it's just gun out of respect.
And I think as far as with with Amari thing,
I think that Saint Patrick, characters really get into his head.
Like I think some mental as though they're entitled to
treat women this way when they get into a certain
position of power. Um in the hood and in the
(01:10:54):
movie business, you know, I'm making a certain amount of
money and I'm able to treat women like this, you know,
and women put this up out there. It's clear that
Beyonce was kind of, you know, distraught by it. You
can tell, I would say distraught. She didn't like it.
She was uncomfortable to look like you know, the women
in the Nation of Islam. You know, you can't even
shake those sisters hands, you know what I'm saying, Like
you supposed to just greet them politely and keep it moving,
(01:11:17):
like you can't even shake them sisters hands. Nonetheless, hugged
him and trying to kiss him. Hello, who's this? What's
going on? Man? His legacy? Legacy? What's up? Bro? We're
talking about what's proper etiquette when talking to someone's wife. Listen,
First of all, I want to say rest in peace,
the hustle absolutely. First things first, Yo, Omari, he's bugging man.
(01:11:38):
No way should he be kissing nobody's wife twice right
in front of the dude. Yeah, that was why I'm saying.
He gave her. He gave you said it was six seconds,
a six second hug. That was far enough. Then you
go and kiss up twice? Nah, no way, man, no
way furniture is moving. I'm with you. I don't think it.
Do you think it's a situation to fight over? But
(01:11:58):
I do think it's distry respectful. You gotta check. I
think it's disrespectful to do that, even if that's not
somebody's wife for somebody's girl. Like, I just feel like
you're doing too much with a woman when you're doing
all of that exactly the double kiss? Did you kiss
my wife close to the lips? Man? Come on, you
kiss your wife close to the lips? You mean to
tell me that furnace is not moving? I'm with you, bro.
(01:12:19):
Y'all brothers acting like y'all ain't mad that I'm already
did a double kiss, But y'all get mad and want
to fight when he do a double tap. You know
what I'm saying he's doing. He'd do a double tap
on one of them pictures and like it, y'all mad.
So imagine how y'all feeling a double kiss? Yeah, exactly exactly.
Man a, y'all thank you, bro. So what's the morrow
of the story? Comorrow of the story is no your boundaries? Man,
that's all like simple as that, No your boundaries? And
(01:12:40):
it don't got it does have something to do with
Beyonce being somebody's wife. But also just don't be violating
women in that way. Don't listen to that young lady
who told you it's okay. I'm not taking those chances
in twenty nineteen, I'm mind you, God damn business, shake
the hands, say hello, keep it moving, Pete queen. You
know you're absolutely right. All right, well, all right, when
we come back. We got rumors, of course, Angela Yee
(01:13:00):
is out of town. She's in the Bahamas. But we'll
tell you about j Cole. He's gonna be an executive
producer of someone's album. I'll tell you about that when
we come back. It's the Breakfast Club Morning, The Breakfast Club,
Your Morning's will never be the same. They what up, y'all?
A's DJ Envy and I'm excited to check out The
Last Og. It's back with new episodes only on TBS
with Tracy Morgan Tiffany Hatters. The show has me crying
(01:13:23):
with laughter, and don't forget it was the number one
new cable comedy of twenty eighteen. Don't miss The Last
Og tomorrow ten thirty nine thirty cent you only on
TBS the Breakfast Club. This just oh go go guys,
(01:13:44):
it's the report with Breakfast Club. Now people will surprised
when j Cole brought Young Thug on tour, but now
it looks like he will be executive producing Young Thugs
new album. I don't think I'm here for that. Why Nah,
Young Thug is nice, super but I don't think he
needs Jay Cole the executive produce his album. Like, Nah,
(01:14:05):
it might sound dope. No, I'm not interested in that.
Not don't sound all right. Jay Cole makes a certain
tone of music, you know what I'm saying. Like it's
like and I like Jay Cole's music, but it's like
when you're riding around when it's not raining, so you
turn your winshield wipers on and the winshield wipers are
going off. You if you wake up one morning and
you feel like you want to do some spring cleaning,
you know what I'm saying, You throw some J Cole on.
(01:14:27):
You know that doesn't seem very I want to hear
Jay Cole executive produce Young Thugs up. That's my point.
He's not exciting enough to produce a Young Thug up.
And who turns on the winsheard wipers when it's not raining.
People who listen to Ja Cole, you're an idiot man now.
Also why being almighty j He talks about him his
attack when he was in the city, you know, the
young man who he was beat up and robbed, and
(01:14:47):
he actually talks about it after the incident happened. I
ain't gonna I was laughing about it. I'm like, they
got me. I let him give me. They got me.
But it's like, what are we doing? We don't do nothing,
and we just act weak and like are you took
an ELM? You got your eyes big? I'm like, this
is how I get paid. It's my career. I'm about
to drop a song with the stitches in my face
because everybody want to see him. I knew it was
(01:15:07):
my fault. I didn't have no security. I don't have
a problem with that. That's his life experience. If he
wants to share life experience through music, I don't see
the issue. But you know it's he was on Fifth Avenue.
He was he was shopping in one of the richest
areas in the in the US. What that means I
wouldn't expect that you need security there either when you'll,
Negro is gonna learn you can get it any in
there now, right, you absolutely got I got punched in
(01:15:28):
the back of my head right here, and Tribecca, well,
the knew where you were. They were coming to. That
was they were coming to hit That was a hit man,
Shut up. They were coming to get you. That wasn't
a mistake. That was like, oh, Charlemagne, oh let me
punch him in the head. They was like, we're coming
to punch them. It's true. They had the cameras rolling
and never see that, right, And they put that video
out edited with graphics and everything. Now, one time you
got punched the first punch in there, the second punch
of the second punch in the head didn't end well
(01:15:49):
for that. Yeah, it didn't well for him. You saw
that video. Come on now, yeah, yeager, he was way bigger. Okay,
come on. But then when we went back in there
and he popped back up, we thought he had a
gun and we definitely, damn right, I put it on
him pretty bad. Was he not bleeding? He was bleeding?
Was he laid out for a while, he was knocked
(01:16:10):
out By the time he came up and got me.
He was still on the floor. I just want to
throw that out there, all right, where's the video? He
got the vid? No, the dog got the video. I
don't need to put that out. I didn't want the
first video. I'm not I'm not in the galifying of
that kind of stuff. That's coining to me. All right.
And lastly we got to see rest in peace to
Nipsey Hustle. He was killed murdered over the weekend in
la He was in front of his store Marathon. They
(01:16:32):
said somebody walked up to him and shot him a
couple of times. It was three individuals that was shot
Nipsey Hustle. All three were rushed to the hospital and
he died. All right. Petered to the good brother Nipsey Hustle.
Man um that he's just a great dude. And I
know a lot of people like to say things like
that when he passed, when people passed, But no, Nipsey
Hustle really was everything that he said. He was a
good dude. He was about he was about higher learning
(01:16:53):
at all times. You know what I'm saying. He was
being a better becoming a better version of himself. And
you know, by being a better version of himself. He
was becoming a better man for his community and it
showed and all of his actions correct. So please also, man,
show that man some respect, you know, show his family respect,
show his friends respect, and stop saying he was killed
by the government or he was killed because of the
documentary he was doing on Doctor TV. That's very insensitive
(01:17:15):
to his family and friends because the screets already know
who did it. Nipsey got killed for the same reason
tens of thousands of brothers get killed every day, and
that's for nothing, some senseless, screet nonsense. I guarantee you
it's gonna be somebody from the hood, from that same
community that he probably knew exactly because you can't just
walk up on Nipsey Hustle, especially in that area in
front of his store. Guarantee you Nipsey knew the guy
who did it. And it's about nothing like it usually is. Man.
(01:17:37):
So so rest in peace to that the good brother
Nipsey Hustle Man. Absolutely, yeah, definitely rest in peace. And
the last tweet he put out before he was killed
was having strong enemies. It's a blessing. Yes, that was
his last tweet. Best believe or the screets already know
who did it. So you know, young man, you can
need to turn yourself in get killed in the street.
Either way, it's not going in well for you. Yeah.
They say he ran off on foot, there was a
(01:17:58):
driver waiting for him, and they if the driver was
possibly a female. So all right, well, Nipsey, that's something
I don't be honest with. Tuesday sucked yesterday. Yeah, when
I heard that news yesterday, it sucked when I when
I'm coming into work today, it sucked because I feel
like there's nothing you can really say about Nipsey Hustle
other than rest in Piece and that he was a great, great,
great brother, a great individual who the sky was the limit.
(01:18:23):
Yeah for that, young man. All right, well, rest in
Piece again. We're gonna start off the mix one of
his Joe. He played a mini mix earlier today, so
we're gonna start the mix off with his joint shout
to Revolte. We'll see you guys later. Everybody else to
People's Choice mixes up next. We're gonna start it off
with some Nipsey and don't forget if you mister Dalken,
we're gonna get that back on, so don't move. It's
the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Your morning's
will never be the same GA with up Y'alla's DJ
(01:18:46):
Envy and I'm excited to check out The Last Og.
It's back with new episodes only on TBS with Tracy
Morgan Tiffany Hatters. The show has me crying with laughter
and don't forget it was the number one new cable
comedy of twenty eighteen. Don't miss The Last Og tomorrow
ten thirty nine thirty cent you only on TBS. Wanting
Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlemagne the God. We
(01:19:09):
are the Breakfast Club now again. Shout out to all
the troops out there that listen to us on the radio.
I was out in Bakron over the weekend. DJ and
for the troops had an amazing time, So shout to
all the troops. Those are the troops that they guard
the water space by Afghanistan to make sure that there's
no situations and no problems. So shout to all the
troops out there. And also shout to everybody that came
(01:19:31):
out to my real estate seminar. We did one in
Miami over the weekend, just teaching people about real estate,
teaching them you know, what they need to do if
they want to invest in real estate. They're not only
that bringing the plugs. I would say, bringing the plug
that's what I call them to the actual seminars. So
if you need to fix your credit, the person is
there to help with your credit. If you need lending financing,
(01:19:51):
whether it's hard money lending on conventional lending, we bring
that person too. If you need to find deals, we
bring real estate experts from the area, and you know,
in the area that we invest in. So shout out
to everybody that came yet over close to seven hundred people.
The power went out in Miami and nobody left. We
did it in the dark, and everybody it was a
great turnout to shout to you. The next one we're
doing it in the shut up. The next one we're
(01:20:14):
doing is Detroit and then uh, Atlanta. So it's where
we buy properties. I own a couple of houses in Detroit,
a couple of properties in Atlanta. So we're just teaching
people about real estate and hopefully you guys get in
real estate and create some well for your kids. All right, man,
we gotta thought, you know, being able to pass pass
things on our kids other than hurt and trauma. Absolutely,
(01:20:34):
because that's all we're passing on to our kids nowadays. Absolutely.
And rest in peace to Nipsey Hustle again. So sad man,
I don't even. I don't even. I can't even believe
we keep having to say that. Like, I like this
one hit a little different, bro, it did. I ain't
gonna front this one hit a little different, man, it
did well. Rest in peace and nip When we come back,
we got your positive No, don't move, it's to breakfast club.
(01:20:55):
Good morning, pj Envy Angela Yee should mean the guy
we are to Breakfast Club. You got a positive note
for the people. Yeah, man, I just want to say
rest in peace to the good brother Nipsey Hustle again. Man.
And I want to tell everybody y'allt there that's grieving,
are they're feeling? Grief is fine? You know. Grief is
not a disorder. It's not a disease or a sign
of weakness. It is an emotional, physical, and spiritual necessity.
(01:21:18):
And it's the price you pay for love. The only
kill for grief is to grief. Breakfast Club finish or
y'all dumb
