Speaker 1 (00:12):
In the morning. You gonna wake up in the morning.
I'm talking right, and you're about to experience a morning
showing like any yoot to the Breakfast Club. What you
guys are doing right now, that's the hub culture. Breakfast
Club is my morning fit. I need it and I
love it. Something like you're really not popping until you
do the Breakfast Club and waiting come to y'all, show man,
(00:34):
I know you gotta be a big time celebrity be
up in here. You gotta be you gotta be big time.
DJ nz Atlay and Charlotta Magne the guy the Breakfast
Club bitches. Good morning usc yo yo yo yo yo
(00:56):
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo Angelis that was popping. Charlemagne,
Peace to the plane. It is Monday. He's bromance to
the morning. No, we ain't doing no damn bromance in
the morning. Okay, you just happen to have just the
two brothers in here this morning. Okay. First of all,
(01:17):
dropped one of clues bombs for the newest member of
the Breakfast Club. The newest addition to the club is
ninety three Jams in Charleston, South Carolina's four three. We
start there this morning. Okay, Now, did you ever get
fired from that station? Never got fired from there, but
that is that is the first radio station that I
ever worked out in my life. That's why I started
off as an intern in nineteen ninety eight. That's when
(01:39):
I first got on the radio as a part time
while work in the promotions department there. And I worked
as a part time radio personality as the ninety two Jams.
But I left ninety two Jams, I give them my
two weeks notice and went to another station in the market,
High ninety eight nine to Challeston. I got fired from
there from Yes, I definitely got fired. Definitely got full circle.
Good morning, definitely full circle. Come on, man, it's to Chuck.
(02:00):
That's the eight four three right there, that's the Holy City. Okay,
that's home, all right, Yeah, So it's good to be uh,
it's good to be back. While I started. Okay, you know,
there's people there that said I would never work in
radio again. Okay, a lot of people said that. Honestly,
they were all wrong, you know, like that's that's life. Okay.
I don't hold it against them for being wrong, you
(02:20):
know what I mean, Well, a couple of do, but
we did give it you. I mean, it's all motivation,
is it's just this just motivation in life. It's inspiration.
It's things that you write down. There's things that you
never forget that give you the fuel just to keep going.
Absolutely no. And I wish they would follow me on
social media so they could really see me shot. I'm sure.
I'm sure they do. I'm sure they do. Well. Shout
(02:45):
out to everybody out in Tampa. I was in Tampa
Friday and Saturday. Friday they were talking about real estate
and ownership, and then Saturday I did a brunch at
Seventh and Growth and then I Sweat Whatever the Let,
which is a two venues that are black owns. Not
too many in Tampa. So I just wanted to shout
them out. Had an amazing time. Man, it feels good
to be black doing it. Like I mean, when you
(03:06):
wake up in the morning and you know you're just healthy,
and you know you feel good, and then you look
in the mirror and see all that melon, and it
just feel good to be its radically black. I'm all
about radical black dignity and both of them were actually
black pharmacists. They opened up their own pharmacy and then
they opened up their own restaurants. So they are doing well.
I mean like drug stores. Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, yea yea.
(03:27):
So what's the name of the drug stores? I don't know.
I know that I went to the venue, not the
drug store. Come on, and went to the venue not
supposed to know this stuff, and went to the house.
I went to their venue. I didn't go to their
drug store, christ but shout out to them Seventh and
Grove and Lits. And then I did my real estate
seminar this Sunday in New Jersey, where we try to
teach people about real estate, buying their first home, buying
(03:49):
their first investment property. There was a lot of people there,
so many people. Of course, we had to do two
seminars back to back, and so many people were there.
They were so grateful, so thankful. So many people are
jumping to buy that first house. Right now. Money is cheap.
That means interest rates a load, So people are out
money is cheap, and that means interest rates to low.
So if you want to borrow money, you interest rate
to like two opposed to usually where they around four
(04:10):
or five percent. So just trying to help people out
and guide them so they don't make the same mistakes
that I did in the real estate game and some
of the problems I made and lost a lot of money.
So I figured it out. So I'm trying to help
my people figure it out. That's all. Well, we're here, baby,
that's Monday morning. I don't know what we got playing today.
I have not seen the show Rundown. But it doesn't matter, no,
it does it. Well when we come back, we got
(04:32):
front page news. We're talking fried chicken. I'm not doing that. Yeah,
we're not doing it now. We're not doing that. Why
why are we talking about fried chicken? We'll talk about
I need another headline, Give me another segue, bro, gotta
be something else. You want to talk about, COVID or
you want to talk about fried chicken? COVID, Let's fry
cheat and be the c store. I don't leave with
fried chicken. When you're a black radio show, What the
(04:52):
hell is wrong with you? It's the breakfast club, Go morning,
not chicken. Boy, didn't I tell you don't leave with
this now? Because everybody loves to say it, which is
and attendance to the nuggets and wings. It looks like
there is a chicken shortage out there. There's gonna be
very hard to get chicken. And they're saying the prices
of chicken can rise. Well cool. When they say it's
a chicken short, I mean it's a short is a
(05:13):
real chicken because they've been out here making that GM
more artificial garbage, yes, of real chicken. So supplies are
struggling to get more chicken, to get more birds out
there so people can have more raw chicken and tenders
and nuggets, et cetera. And wings. No, people need to
have more chicken farms or they need to stop eating
less chicken. You know, I produces an ass This is
This is when he puts at the bottoming. Do you
(05:34):
blame the chick fil a calfer? This? No? What this
is what our producer puts at the bottom. And related news,
barbers across the country are experiencing shortage in Beijing as well.
You know, you're an ass man and I don't use Beijing.
Now you're a liar, something that Charlottage might find excited.
You're just gonna sit there alive to the people that
you don't use Beijing. You haven't been using it, but
(05:55):
you was definitely used to it. That's probably why you're
not using it. That because there's no more you caused
the dj be called the whole show up. Man. Now UFOs,
they're saying UFOs exist and the government is covering them up.
This is from a former Pentagon official. He says they
are UFOs. They've been studying them for a while, but
(06:16):
the government just doesn't want to tell anybody. Leonard mckelby,
your uncle, Charlott, I've been telling y'all this for years.
Like it's first of all, it's crazy to think that
we live in a universe where it's just us, when
all you have to do is look at the Earth
and see how diverse the Earth is. It's things in
the water, there's things in the wards, things in the junglest,
things in the sky. Why wouldn't the universe be just
as diverse? Come on, people, now, can we ain't see
(06:37):
more of them? Then you said, what now can we
haven't see more of them? You might be seeing them
all the time and don't even know how do you know?
You don't even know what they look like? You have
no idea. But I guarantee you that other life exists
in other planets and other universes throughout these various galaxies. Impossible.
It's actually arrogant to think otherwise. You Right now, today
a hundred million Americans are fully vaccinated, almost double the
(06:58):
fifty five million who are fully vaccinated vaccinated just a
month ago. Congratulations. Now that's in nearly forty percent of
all adults in the country are protected. And they said
they're going to start allowing possibly kids to get vaccinated. Now, congratulations. Also,
screw you. Anxiety. It seems like they believe that people
who received the Johnson and Johnson shot experience experienced fainting
(07:22):
in dizziness because of anxiety. And that's the reason why. Yeah,
Because if you have gotten to Johnson and Johnson shot
and then you see on the news that it's being
recalled because it's causing blood clots, Yeah, that's the way
anxiety works. You're gonna start thinking about all the bad
things that can happen to you because you got the
Johnson and Johnson shot. Of course, And some sad news,
(07:43):
three dead and one in critical condition after a shooting
at a Wisconsin casino. They believe a gunman came in
looking for somebody. The person that he was looking for
allegedly wasn't there and started shooting. And that's whole the
information that they have right now. But definitely rest in
peace and condolences to anybody that anybody in that shooting.
That's a waste of bullets too. By the way, if
you come there looking for somebody and the person's out there,
(08:04):
but you start shooting anyway, that's just stupid. Why would
you do that? They believe the shoot I was looking
for an employee he had a personal relationship with, but
the employee wasn't working that day, So why shoot up?
But everybody else, take your beef out, Take your beef
with the person. Take your beef to the person that
you actually got beef with. Why you shoot up all
those random people? Oh, don't shoot anybody, how about that?
Just don't. I didn't say shoot, I said beef. Don't
take no beef with nobody. Beef with yourself. How about that.
(08:26):
I'm with that too. Before you before you decide you
want to, you know, shoot up random people always, you know,
think of yourself first. All right, Well, Lattice Front page News,
Get it off your chest eight hundred five eight five
one on five one if you need to vent phone
lines and wide open house. Was your weekend? Did you
have a great week in a horrible weekend? We'll talk
to us. It's the Breakfast Club, God Morning, the Breakfast Club.
(08:50):
This is your time to get it off your chests.
Whether you're man or blast peep, better have the same
and we want to hear from you on the breakfast Club. Hello,
who's this? Anthony? Was something and getting off your chests?
Bro oh man, I heard you guys talking about aliens
and how space travel is real and it's not because
God created the universe and you can't figure it out.
(09:12):
They don't care if you live on planet that's in
another universe. You can't get from your planet to another planet.
How do you how do you know? How do you
know that? Sir? How do you know that it's not
intelligence out there that's way smarter than humans that can
that can do that. How do you know? I think
that if they were here, and that they've been here,
something that's been involved with the way the birth of ball,
(09:34):
So I don't think they won't go from So you
think God? You think God made all of his real
estate and only put life on one. No, I think
that he created all this real estate and said you
stay here, you stay here, you stay here, and you
can be as smart as you one. Because even our
space program, they say we go to space, but we
don't really go to space. Listen our space point. Our
(09:56):
space program might be the most primitive in the universe.
Have you ever thought of about that? I don't know
why human beings, earthlings think we are the smartest creatures.
Are are beings in all of these galaxies? Like that's
just weird to think. Yeah, but any materials and what's
created by God, So those materials have to be able
to survive in any part of the universe. Who says
(10:18):
they can't? Though we're only we're only looking at things
from from our level of understanding. How do we know
that there's not beings out there that can't do that.
I'm not arguing with y'all about aliens this morning? Hello?
Who was that? We? We are aliens? Tony out of Louisville, Tony,
what's up? Broken off her chests? I just won't give
an rpiece. Shout out to the young lady who lost
the light at a club shooting a Mark Kitty over
(10:41):
the weekend. That's horrible. Yeah, definitely, man rest in peace. Yeah.
I didn't know the lady, but she was young lady.
There wasn't all y'all. Can you can you imagine surviving
the pandemic, happy to go outside, only to die outside?
I mean that in the I mean I was looking
at the paper the day and they said the amount
of shooting in the New York area. They said, it's
(11:02):
through the roof. They said, everybody's shooting. Hello, who's this yo?
It's your boss Tony Fast from Florida, Tampa, Florida to
be siding. What's up? Tony? Get off a chess bro?
So there's a few days I want to get off
my chests. First of all, I'm a comedian. I will
be I see you in that seven of Gros this weekend.
So I will be doing free COMPETI show on Tuesday. Sorry,
(11:24):
in May seventeen at seven of Grows in Tampa, Florida.
We called Nartisica Tacos. There's a free competa show starts
at seven thirty. Doors open up at seven. I want
to get that out there. Second of all, I want
to say that, uh was that at Unca Charlotte Joe
Biden and Karmala Harris. First of all, I want to
get on Kamala Hairs s Scott about that best that
they said last week. And then uh, and this is
(11:46):
what people were talking about. I'm not a Trump fan,
number was never about to be a Trump supporter, But
this is what people were talking about when they say
they are rather stick to the evils that ain't know
when we get to to Madam Vice President, they get
don't get on pev and dumble down on some stupid
comments that Till tid Man talking about this in Tide
the Rate because and that's that's that's called on us
(12:08):
telling us his rain Listen, don't get down with that.
I'm with you, don't get down with that. Why I
did not? I did not. Joe Biden was not my favorite.
I couldn't stand them. I still ain't stand them. He's
dot Oumar Johnson was absolutely right. H But other than that,
I don't want to tell y'all, brothers, I love y'all.
Make sure y'all following y'all Instagram. Tony fats that po
(12:30):
n I f A T is a matter of fact.
If anybody's seeing me, your money back, YO, startups video.
I was the one tied up in the money back
Yo shot a video. Okay you was tied up? Yeah
that was me. I was meat and the start of video,
the one tied up, the one tied up in the
settar they beat with the money and yeah that's me. Man.
Yeah we don't remember, brother, Remember we don't remember brother.
But but but salute to you. I'm gonna tell I'm
(12:52):
gonna tell you something else too, you know. Have you
also got to remember that regardless of who's in the
White House, they work for us, and democracy is all
about holding your elected fish is accountable. So yes, I
wish that Kamala Harris had more radical black dignity. But
I'm also gonna be pressing Kamala to make sure that
certain policies and legislations get passed, especially the George Floyd
Police and Yact, you know, because black people we need that,
(13:14):
all right, Get it off your chest eight hundred five
eight five one oh five one. It is the breakfast club,
Go morning, the breakfast club. I'm hey, what's you doing?

Good look at here, man. First of all, I want
to give you guys props. Man. I love you guys,
listen to you each and every morning. But most importantly, man,
I gotta get it off my chest this morning. Richard
(13:55):
a little easy account, Richard a little easy account, native
of Liberty, currently Georgia. Man. He got drafted to the
Cleveland Browns this week. Yeard occulations to him. Man, man,
I'm so proud of this young man, come from just
from negative to straight up positive all the way. Did
he owe you anything? He don't owe me nothing but
(14:17):
to get out there on that field and continue to
do what he's doing. There you go. Hello, who's this? Hey? Yo?
This droofrom Jersey was up and he was so Charlotte
Man Droll was up. King Yo. I'm proud and I'm happy.
I want to give a shout out to my boy,
Frankie's dog. He just got draft to the NFL. He
going to the falcon. Okay, proud and I'm happy. Man.
His mom just died last month. That's hard to the NFL. Man.
(14:42):
I wish he was here to see it, but I
had to give him a shout out. Man man, salute
to that young king. Man. Does he owe you anything? No? Now,
he's from my block. He good? Good? Why I think
why he has anybody if they owe you anything. I'm
just asking. You know, his brothers go to the league.
I'm just asking, did they owe you anything? That's all?
Can this? Good morning? Good morning? How are you? How
are you doing this morning? I am fine? Oh my goodness,
(15:05):
I can't believe I'm going here. How y'all doing? Let
me take y'all my beauty. We have blessed black and
Holly favored. How are you doing, Candas, I'm good. Look.
I just want to say we are three days into
mental health mind, mental health mind. I'm pumped up about that.
Charlaved I would like to say thank you for being
the voice of mental health. You helped so many people
(15:26):
out here to heal and to drill with it. Ford.
Do you want to say thank you about that? Um?
I also want people to not be afraid of speaking
your truth because speaking your truth helps other people out
here in the world. Heal you, right, Candas, I always say,
the only way we're gonna radicate the stigma of mental health,
especially in the black community, is for all of us
to tell our stories. That's right. And I just why
(15:48):
are you? Why are you crying? Though? Candas? I feel
like you got something heavy on your chest this morning.
What's what's up? What's happening? Because I'm just exciting about it,
and I also want to shout out and you haven't
inspired me to store my own mental health line, so
um please, every want to follow me on Instagram is
called my truth, My piece, My truth, my piece. Yeah,
(16:10):
and I felt mental health shirt because I just want
everybody to wait. When what you feel on your shots,
you know what I mean? If you have anxiety, if
you're biopolar, if you have pts with it, you know,
show it own it. So I just followed you. I'm
gonna order some of this. Love is not my love
is not worth my mental health? Okay, man, broken was
(16:32):
still broken, was still fixable. I'm about to order me
some stuff right now. What's the discount? Cold? They discount? Hello?
Who's this? I just gonna hang upon her like that
he sounds you, the Haitian therapist. It was my firstday
on Thursday, so happy birthday, thank you. I want to
(16:53):
Peru and that climb. Oh did you do any of
that good raw cocaine and pay room? Oh my god, no, no, no,
I've never even had a super alcohol. So yeah, they
said that cocaine in Peru is like pure pure. No.
But I heard a guinea pig. A guinea pig, which
you mean you ate one? Yeah? So delicacy over there?
(17:14):
How was it bony? Did you get it fried? Grilled? Sautade?
It was roasted? And then I had an alpaca meat
that was really good. Now, listen, when you walk into
a restaurant, is the guinea pig like running on a
wheel or is that the hamster which one runs on
the wheels? The hamster usually? Oh okay, never mind. You
said you had what kind of meat at paca PoCA? Yeah?
(17:35):
What is that? You know, like the one that kind
of like a llama with everything? It was good? Yeah,
it was delicious. Well go ahead with your bad self. Yeah, okay,
came a long way from um, what's the meat Haitians eat?
Gri gril? There you go, well, that's pork. So hey man,
I'm gonna be honest with you. Guinea pigs pulks down
(17:55):
all the same. I don't think can guinea pigs. I
don't think they can. I don't think a lot will
be pleased with that one. Have a good one and
have a great birthday, all right, And it's mental health awareness.
Mother too. She hung up. She's therapist too. Yes, get
it off your chest. Eight hundred five eighty five one
o five one. Now we got rumors on the way.
(18:15):
We gotta talk Eerv Gotti. He apologized for the comments
he made about DMX, So we'll talk about that when
we come back. Don't move. It's to Breakfast Club. Good morning,
the Breakfast Club. This is the rumor report with Angela
yea Club. Listen. Not recently, IRV Gotti did an interview
(18:40):
without People's Out in Chicago. Kendrew g dropping, Um, I
got I know it's kinder g Kyle and Leon, though
I can't remember the name of the morning show w GCT. Yeah,
so shout out to People's in the shots. So they
did an interview with Eerv Gotti and IRV Gott. He
said this during the interview He said it was a
(19:01):
bad dose to crack and they said some drug fentemol
was mixed in with the crack and that's what made
him overdose. Yeah, so he was talking about Dmax and
a lot of people didn't like it. I mean, of course,
fifty cent reposted it said this guy's an idiot. Did
he just say DMX die for spoken crack and feneyl?
Why would he say that? The Swiss beat left the
(19:21):
comment bozo moves can't lie well. Ev got Jada Kiss
called him a wing. Still trying to figure out what
that sling means. I don't know if that was like
a chicken wing or I'm thinking because it's a part
of a bird, so he's say, you're not a whole bird,
You're just a wing. I don't know. Kids put us on.
I don't know. It's the shortedge chicken now, IRV gott it?
He responded. He put a post with him and Dmax.
(19:43):
He said, first of all, let me say again how
much I love my igga X. He said, the fact
that it's coming into question is the only reason I'm
going to address this. I love X and love him unconditionally,
and that won't change now the interview I did with
Kendrew g that was just something that I heard and
I re reported to Shara Simmons, who I also love,
and I apologize, and I also apologize to my brother's
(20:04):
d and why they know exactly where my heart is.
Hashtag ri ip Dmax, hashtag dog Log, hashtag rough Rider's
hashtag family. It's a lot longer, but he said he
apologized and didn't mean any harm. But but what a
beautiful thing about IRV Gotti is he speaks his mind
all the time. The bad thing about earth Gotti is
he speaks his mind all the time. Okay, even if
that was the truth, that's not his place to put
(20:26):
that out there. His man just died. Family is grieving.
That kind of energy, even if it's true, doesn't need
to be out there, like we can. We can discuss
that another time. I wonder if that's why IRV didn't
speak at the funeral, because I was wondering. I was like,
why hasn't the funeral? I thought so too, But love
and hate r we know Herb's hard when he came
to the now, Travis Scott announced Astra World Festival twenty
(20:47):
twenty one dates, so it's a couple of dates. So
if you're ready to get back out there, well, he
has the third Annual Festivals gonna happen November fifth and
sixth in Houston, and tickets go on sale Wednesday, Made
fifth at ten a m. And when's the date, November
fifth and six I mean, if the world keeps going away,
that's going with it. Say one hundred million Americans are
(21:08):
already vaccinated. I don't see the problem with that. Come fall,
I feel like fall or things will be I don't
want to see back to normal because it was never normal,
but back to somewhat normalcy, right. I shot the money bag, y'o.
I'm sure he got a scare. He posted on Twitter.
Damn man, how my mama got COVID and pneumonia? Shaking
my head. I need y'all prayers right now. He posted
(21:28):
that what was that accent? Bro? Don't disre spect Memphis
like that? That was like a Memphis. Don't disre spect
Memphis like that, Yo, Memphis, that was like a Memphis Memphis.
Next time, y'all see if MV ever comes to the city,
wipe his beard off, take a warm, ragged his face,
all right? But then he posted a day later, two
days later, I appreciate your prayers. She is good, so
thank God for that. And Money Back y'all got the
(21:50):
number one album in the country this week, dropping a
clue bump Money Back y'all. I's gonna say that number
one album in the country. He moved one hundred and
ten thousand total albums this first week, so congratulations to him,
well deserving. I'm on record is saying Memphis has the
best rappers in the game right now, from Pooh Shice
to the money Back Yild, the Big scar Keith Glock
(22:12):
the Dolph, like, they got the best rappers in the
game right now. So it's good to see money back
Yard at the top of the charts. And lastly, little
Dirk All right now, they posted that old block that's
the hood in Chicago, his hood in Chicago. That's also
the hood where the first ladies from. He said that
it posted that it's up for sale, and he said,
I'll buy it. It It don't matter how much it is,
(22:34):
I will buy it. Yeah. I mean, listen, all your
brothers and ancestors out there, you gotta stop saying, you know,
that's your hood, that's your hood, that's your hood. If
you don't own none of it, you know what I'm saying.
If you don't own none of the dirt, Dad, that
ain't your hood. So yes, I would love to see
Little Dirk purchase old Block. Yeah. They put the property
on the market after purchase in the development in twenty eleven.
(22:56):
They believe it could be worth anywhere between thirty and
fifty million dollars. But there will be some tax credits.
There'll be a whole lot that he could probably do
in six hundred and ninety four units. Why is it
for sale? People that bordered to selling it. I mean,
maybe we're trying to flip it, maybe trying to make
some money off of it. I am not sure, but
I will say this, Little Dirk and I have a
lot of conversations and it's never about music. And he
(23:17):
always wants to buy in Chicago, Like you know, I
send him a bunch of properties in Chicago and sometimes
they're a little too small. You know, it's bigger than
the twelve units. So this is something he'll definitely do.
And I reach out to him today. I get a
part of this one ginger firehood before the white people
do it. Yeah, but Dirk definitely wants to buy Chicago
up and fix it up. So that is your rumor report.
Now when we come back front page news, if you
(23:38):
missed it early, there's a Chicken shouldage. I'll tell your all,
he'll stop leading with that story. I don't feel comfortable
as a black radio personality with you lead leading with
that story. Bro what I just don't like it. I
don't like how it sounds. All right, Well, we'll tell
you more about the Chicken shouldage when we come back.
Donte move. It's to Breakfast Lugal morning. So Breakfast Club,
your mornings will never be the same. Angela here, and
(23:59):
they generally insurance understands that stuff happens, including lapses and
auto coverage. At the General. They make it easy to
get reinstated and we'll work with you to keep you covered.
Called eight hundred General or go to the General dot
com to find out more. Some restrictions apply. Damn Monday morning.
Everybody is DJ Envy Angela yee, Charlemagne the guy. We
are to Breakfast Club. Let's get some front page news.
(24:24):
Let's start off with chicken boy. Not a popularity of
chicken is insane. You know, chicken sandwiches you gotta add
a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, and of course
those chicken wings. There's so many. It's such a high
demand for chicken. It seems like America is starting to
run short. That's all you got. No I got more, so,
(24:45):
they say. KFC says it's struggling to keep up the
soaring demand for its new sandwich. They said the biscuits
in Bojangles is starting to run out, and tenders all
across the country. People can't find them anywhere I wanted to. Yesterday,
I went just for because my wife put some chicken
on the grill. Put some chicken on the grill. So
then I went to cav See and I got a
(25:06):
family size mashed potatoes, two of them, and tin biscuits.
You couldn't get no chicken because chicken is I didn't
want to chicken. I didn't want the chicken. I didn't
want the chicken just because I'd be knowing that chicken
is gm O. That's why I can't believe there's a
shortage of it, because it ain't real. No way, how's
the shortage of plastic chicken? They said. Poultry companies have
been struggling to keep up with the demand from quick services,
(25:26):
fast food places and all that. So they're saying they
are looking for ways to get more chicken in Well,
I guess they're gonna keep genetically modifying more chicken. When
they say chicken, they meet organic chicken. Right, Yes, probably
a shortage of organic chicken. Yep, it's not as shortage.
That's stuff that got six legs. What's that? Have you
never seen the chickens with six legs? No? Oh my god?
(25:47):
Google it. All right, Well, I said this earlier, I'll
tell you again. In the White House says one hundred
million Americans are fully vaccinated, almost double the fifty five
million who were fully vaccinated just a month of go.
Now they say nearly forty percent of all adults in
the country are protected. And you know, things are looking
a lot better. They say that people are allowed to
go outside without a mask. Congratulations. Also, they're saying anxiety
(26:10):
is the reason a lot of you guys are experiencing
fainting and dizziness. After taking to Johnson and Johnson shot, well,
that's your all fault, it's the media's fault. I haven't
gotten vaccinated. On the plan to get vaccinated. But it's
the media's fault because it Johnson and Johnson vaccine got recalled,
right because they say they causes blood clots. So imagine
you have gotten to Johnson and Johnson vaccine and you
see that on the news. Of course that's gonna make
(26:30):
your anxiety shoot through the roof. Of course you're gonna
think the worst. Now, if you've got family out in
Mississippi and in that area, give them a ring right now.
They said damage reported in at least three cities after
tornadoes ripped through that area. So if you have family
out there, give McCall make sure they are right, check
on the elderly, make sure everybody is okay. Mississippi okay,
(26:51):
Mississippi all right, And that is your front page news.
Now when we come back, let's open up the phone
lines eight five, eight five, one on five one. We
were talking behind the scenes that I seen dramas get
so mad. Yeah, this is something little du Vall posting.
My guy, little duke Val, drop on a clues box
for a little du Val, the prophet, little du Val, Deacon,
little Duval, Deacon Duval. What did Deacon du vas now?
(27:13):
He said, how you a grown ass? Man over thirty
sharing a place with another grown ass man. You got
a point, you know, let's talk about eight hundred and five.
I'm not shaming one. When we said this earlier, Drama's
got so offended. I'm not shaming you because I just
I just wanted to know what the situation is. Dramas
(27:36):
is he just turned forty and he just got graduated.
You believe this guy. You're not even thirty yet, are you.
I'm thirty, So let's talk about it. Eight hundred and
five eight five one on five one, and this is
this true? How you're grown ass man over thirty sharing
a place with another grower might be his boyfriend, might
be his husband, who calm down, damn dramas, calm down,
(27:59):
making sure, loosen up your butt cheeks, broke, relax, Why
you get so tight? I'm saying in general, this person
that Duval is referencing that maybe his boyfriend and maybe
his huther. I don't think he's talking about that. I
think he don't know the situation. I think he's talking
about grown ass man that I don't want about in
the clubs. You know, has all types of cotour cars
and still a grown ass man and living with another growl.
(28:20):
You're just talking about straight up grown in with roommates.
This ain't no son with a father's situation. This ain't
no son living I mean, no brother living with a brother. No, No,
that's what we're talking about. Let's talk about it when
we come out. Why are you so gigglio because what
you guys are some haters. I think y'all forget what. Okay,
we'll talk. You got a roommate, by the way, at
my Brokers, at my Brokens. I've never had a roommate
(28:41):
you telling you tell Themney, just the Breakfast Cube call
in right now at your opinion to the Breakfast Club,
top breaking down eight hundred five eight five one five
one the Breakfast Club. It's topic time called eight hundred
(29:08):
five eight five one oh five. Wanted to join it
to the discussion with the Breakfast Club, talk about it morning.
Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy we
are the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Now if you just
joined us, we're talking about something that our friend little
Duvall said, Now he can duvall, what did he can
Duvall say? Little Duvall said, how are you a grown
(29:29):
ass man over thirty sharing a place with another grown
ass mad Wow, So we said that we were talking
behind the scenes and our friend our board up over here.
Drama's got a little upset, Dramas, Are you in this situation? All? Well? I,
first of all, I just bought my own house, my
own property, congratulations, three months ago. Yes, I was in
that situation. And why why because y'all don't pay me
(29:50):
enough up there? Okay, I understand, I understand that. I
understand that. Listen, I understand what Duvall is coming from.
I don't judge people. You know what I mean, because,
as as as Drama said, sometimes you see you can
most of the time is the economic situation. But when
I see grown in sharing space with other grown men,
I just assume they're gay, are related, And I have
no problem with Why is that the assumption? I don't
know what I was thinking. Would I assume, asked us?
(30:11):
Assume that's why you shouldn't assume, right? Or was that
any truth to any of those things? He knows it's
not a damn truth. First of all, I think it's expensive.
Why would you know you save some money over here?
I understand what Dramas is coming from. I have no
problem with it. I like unity and group operation. As
Drama said, rent is expensive. But I will say, if
two grown men are sharing one bathroom, you gotta get
your life together, because if you're using the same toilet
(30:32):
as a person, y'all, a couple, A couple, y'all, a couple.
Come on, bro, you're your cheeks shared the same cheek?
Toilet seat is another man? Hold on, dramas, did y'all
have one bathroom with two bathrooms in the place? One bathroom? Whoa?
Whoa sol on? So hold on, y'all. So so what
(30:53):
if you really had to go right to do a
number two, but he just came off from doing a
number two, so you walk right in and smell him
he's flirting. Yeah, you gotta yeah. If that gotta be
the rule. If two grown men shared space, it gotta
be two bathrooms in the space. It got to be
unless they don't want that. You got jasmine, Yes, two
(31:14):
guys thirty years old roommates, Which what's your thoughts? Nah,
you gotta be doing you gotta be doing better. Like
that's just that's just kind of because what if your
girl want to come over, she want to be walking
around nakeres so she can't do that. You got a roommate,
and especially if they got one bathroom. Yeah no, no,
I think you around thirty years old, honestly, like getting
(31:37):
close to thirty, like about twenty something. You should be
having your own plays. That's right, your cheeks touching the
same toilet that another man's cheeks touched. I appreciate this you. Yeah,
what's your name? Mama? Oh? This is daily? Good morning, y'all.
I wanted to just say, whoever wants to be bestis
with their best friend when they come home from jail
(31:58):
and they want to go to the asketball summer league
all summers, not taking sure of the responsibilities. That's why
men want to be roommates with other mats. This is
our very personal happens. What happened, What happened, and my
soul Charlotte made. My baby's dad was in fans for
fifteen years, promising me love the whole fifteen years. He
(32:22):
comes home, honey, he comes home, don't want to speak
to his baby's mom. He wouldn't have survived without then.
He's wouldn't to survive without me. He wouldn't come home
and got his other group names had it on his mat,
So I gotta get somebody's diamond on my hands. What
the hell? What? So listen, does he have a roommate.
He's still in the Hansway House, but he's trying to
(32:43):
room out with his bestie when you get out to
Hanfway House because he don't want to hind the responsibility
he used to. Maybe he just used to having a sellable,
that's all. Yeah, maybe he used to having to sell
you a whole. Dude, Go ahead, Okay, I want nothing
to do with that. But if you promising me promises
of love, I'm sending you money and all that, you're
gonna have to pay a price when you come home
(33:04):
and then you try to front only you calling from Philadelphia? Yes,
around that, Yeah, I can hear. I can hear the
Philly in your tone. I can hear the accent. Well,
I'm sorry, mama, that's all good. I just wanted to
see what Angelie you thought, and she thought she was
going to scoop me or not. Because I don't got
to wait around for a no jailbird. She's not here,
she's not here to day, Mama. Well, I'm asking seeing
(33:26):
what I think that you shouldn't force anybody to want
to be with you. You know what I'm saying. I
think Dramas has taken all the good man so just
you can't. And I think that if he if he's
been in jail for the past fifteen years and he
wants to come home and live with another man instead
of you, says a lot to money man. He's got
(33:46):
a whole woman he can stay with. He can stay
with you. You You got a place he can stay with
He ain't got he got a place with me. But
that's what he tried to act brand new when he
got out. Okay, yeah, I don't know what it's with, mamma,
but thank you for calling. Have a good day, all right, geeks. Okay,
I'm telling you doing he come on, you better check
for that crack in the liberty bell, okay, because I'm
telling you it's just so sound right, all right? Eight
(34:10):
hundred five eight five one o five one The good
brother Little Dude Bass said this on Twitter the of
a day. He said, how you a grown ass man
over thirty sharing a place with another grown ass man
and let's talk about it, right. Dramas was so offended
by that. We're not shaming. Nobody with roommates body shaming people. No,
but I'm just saying thirty and up and you're grown man.
(34:30):
Two men with one bathrooms New York. The New York
New Jersey area is expensive. Man. Let me ask you
a question. What did you ever sit on the toilet
after him? And it was warm? We gotta go commercial.
That means they gotta share assul because there's gotta be
a bar assault. This is one back room. Whether man
is crazy, we'll talk about him when we come back.
(34:51):
It's the breakfast logan more want call me to the
breakfast club top Morning. Everybody is dj enjy Angela, Yee,
(35:11):
Charlomagne the guy. We are the breakfast club. Now if
you just join us with reading something that little Duvall
put on Instagram. I don't know why I keep crumpling
up this paper, but he said, how are you a
grown ass man over thirty drama sharing a place with
another grown ass man? That is the question i'mna say.
I'm saying I don't think having a roommate. You know
what I'm saying, when you a man at thirty is
(35:32):
the problem. I just think it's a problem when it's
like a two bedroom, one bathroom. If it's a problem,
it's gotta be two bathrooms. Bro sharing the toilet with
another guy? Is scrange real estate over here in the area.
Who cleans? Though? Who cleans? Like? How do you have
to side? Who cleans the tool? We had a cleaning
lady because the money we were saving on being roommates
behind a cleaning lady. Well, guess what if y'alldn't pay
(35:53):
the cleaning lady, y'all could both before to have your
own places. Now, that's what I was doing. I was saying,
y'all need to stop shaming people. Listen, why okay, if
if you weren't ashamed a body, why do you move?
What do you mean because I want to buy my
own place? Why did you want your own place because
I want to own mom? Because you knew that having
a roommate look crazy? I'm mean, look a little crazy? Right? Hello?
Who's this? All? Right? This is essence? So what are
(36:15):
your thoughts on a grown ass man having a roommate
thirty years old? I think I was just dealing with
somebody like that. He was forty. He refused some all
the roommates because he knew that was awful. He would
call them housemaids to make it. Did they even have
a house? They were? I mean they were wrenching rooms
from someone, but it was none of that house to
(36:40):
movement with him. Like, dude, you don't even have your
own place. Why would I give up my shot to
go be roommates with your No, that's right. You don't
give him none, did you? No? I I shouldn't have though.
See what y'all? What y'all used to have sex in
in this room? I mean, man, did you have a twin? Bad? No,
it was probably I think you deserve better what happened
(37:04):
if you have to go to the bathroom, Because you
could go to the bathroom and somebody could be in
the bathroom already. You just gotta wait your turn. Yeah,
that's what I'm saying. Man, you cannot share the same bathroom,
even if you're a grown ass man. I got another
grown ass man as a roommate. Y'all gotta have more
than one bathroom. Hello. Who's this? Hello? Hello? Hey, Now,
(37:24):
this is George. We have George on the line. George
your thirty six and you have a roommate now right? No, No,
I told him, I told him. I had a roommate.
Oh you had a roommate, Yes, when about two years ago? Wow,
you was thirty four years old. Anything else you want
to add to this? Yeah, man, I'm just here. Did
(37:45):
y'all have one bathroom? Yeah? Damn? So you used to
share the same toilet as another man? Your cheeks touched
the same cheeks? Is didn Hey, nothing wrong with it.
I'm just telling you. You'll judge. I'm just telling you
that your DNA and his DNA is all over each other.
Oh man? How many bedrooms did you have too? Brother?
(38:10):
Anything else? Na? Man? I had? Actually? Well, I was
engaged at the time when he was engaged. Yeah. See,
let me let me leave it. Let me leave it alone,
Let me leave it alone. Why you're not engaged? No more?
It didn't work out well. She got tired of coming
over and having to share the bathroom with two grown men,
(38:34):
not even brother. Didn't work out. I hear you question
in your life right now, and you should. But at
least you're not at least you're not in that situation.
Stay strong, man, yoe. Yes, sir, I want to say,
can I ask you, Yes, sir, I do interviews. I
want I want you to look at my interviews. Okay,
what's the page No Smoke TV. All right, I'm gonna

it out now, I am gonna check it out. Do

your roommate's house? Nah? Man, I got my old crib. Congratulations.
I'm happy for you, King. I'm gonna check out No
Small TV. Though. Yeah, I look up to your interviews, man,
so you know, I'm just trying to do my thing.
I appreciate you, my brother. Thank you. What's the mong
(39:15):
to the story? Man? The moral of the story is
a scrub as a guy that thinks he's fine, but
also known as a buster. Okay, that's the That's the
song that made me move out of my mama's house
when I was in my twenties, all right, and that
my brocas When I was making eight dollars an hour
at a hot one three nine at Columbia, South Carolina,
I did not have a roommate. How nasty was your apartment?
I didn't have it. All I had was a bed
(39:36):
that my mama think God let me bring up from
most corner, South Carolina. I had a small TV on
the floor and that's it. Hey, that is not worse.
I'd rather have that than have share a bath from
with another man. Okay, all right, Well when we come back,
we got the room report. But tell you about jay
Z walking in on your roommate. That's gotta be awkward.
To walking in walking in on your roommate naked, that's
(39:59):
gotta be awkward. We'll say it didn't suck when you
and your girl didn't suck? What shut up? No, when
your girl comes over and y'all, you know, trying to
have sex, you gott turned the TV up, you know
what I'm saying, So you get Luckily, you wasn't making her.
You wasn't making her making no noise anymore. So I'm
not is gracious? All right, we'll talk jay Z when
we come back, and we play Scrubs right now, and
they're not gonna apply here. That doesn't apply here. It
definitely applies for people are living at home with their mom.
(40:21):
They say blatantly in the song play Scrubs. It's the
breakfast lull, good morning's friends, right trying to holler at me.
That's right, you know, it's the funniest part of this song.
(40:43):
And when she says, um, I'm not I'm not going
back to your place. What's she saying? I don't know.
She said, I'm not going back to your place or
something like that. You can't. I can't go back to
your place. You don't have a place. No, you know

So we have some more cast shows coming up around
the country. But July third is this one. Now, when
we come back, let's get to the rumors. Jay Z
another one, some more millions. We'll tell you all about it.
It's the Breakfast Club. God morning report, this report the
(46:04):
Breakfast Club. Well, congratulations to Hold and team. He just
closed the three hundred and fifty million dollar deal He's
sold Title with CEO Square Jack Dorsey. So that is
an amazing it's a nice flip. When he paid what
he paid fifty six million dollars for Title, Yeah, he
paid fifty and what all the initial investors entitled, all
(46:27):
the artists he initially had on walked away with like
what eight million dollars a piece or something like that. Yeah, yea, yeah,
can't be mad at that. No. Square gets eighty percent
ownership of title and licensing deals with major record labels.
But Jay Z and Crew. They still remain on running
it and holding everything down. So it congratulations to rock
Nation and let you guys, if the deals you're doing
don't benefit of other people, the deals aren't worth doing,
(46:50):
you know what I mean. That's just how I feel
like a lot of things people do are are very
self serving, and nobody eats off of those things, but them,
those those aren't worth The deals are worth doing are
the ones like that where a lot of different people
eat Right now shout the DJ Kalet on his new
album as the song Nas and jay Z, And there's
a video that's surfaced of jay Z faced him and
(47:12):
Nas and Now saying that he had to change his
lyrics after hearing holes verse. So I'll just hear tweaking lines.
You know, Japanese whiskey. Y'all got bands? What we the
t diller drums? Oh no no, no, I got cock
I gotta come back, and the queen at the end,
bro Like, there's harmony. He gave me chills, bro like,
(47:35):
and that's her when she comes to when you say
on another beat, yeah that's crazy, bro. Yeah, this is one.
This is definitely one for the books. I love that record.
I love seeing two grown men talking about dieting right
and investing in themselves personally and professionally. That's what That's
what the whole song is about. The song is really
about the investments they've made in their professionalize and personalized
(47:59):
I love that record. Okal said that, you know, Nas
didn't have to change any verses or lyrics. He was
just saying that he didn't change anything. But I don't
know if you've seen trending over the weekend and this
was like people are so stupid. They were like this
Jay z All, he talked about making money, being rich
and his wife. I'm like, what else is there to
talk about? Said, yeah, years old? What you want to
talk about? You want to talk about? You want him
(48:20):
to talk about busting his gun? You know what I mean?
What you want him to talk about popping pills. He's
talking about his life. That's his life. That's what art is.
Art is a reflection of life. Okay, So yes, if
I'm married to Beyonce, if I'm a billionaire, if I'm
making money, those are the things I'm gonna talk about.
And I have not I've never heard a rapper talk
about intermittent fasting ever, Right, in a song ever well, okay, well,
(48:41):
Jennifer Lopez after her split from Alex Rodriguez, no more buddy,
equal love. She is hanging around Ben Affleck just run
back to the white man. Huh. How does that make
you feel? Dramas? I mean, it's a loss for all
of us. I feel like, you know who's all of
us and all of us? You know what I'm saying.
How does it make you feel that she ran back
to the white man? I don't feel good about it. Okay,
benefit might be back man. She knows she's out of
(49:04):
rebound right now. You know, we all do dumb things
on the rebound. Now, in some sad news, rapper forty
Cow you remember forty Cows with dip set. Yeah, he's
asking for help in search of his missing teenage daughter.
She goes to Buffalo State College and she was missing there,
(49:25):
asking anybody with any information to please, please, please, please
help as much as possible. I think I heard on
the news this morning that they believe they found her
cell phone, but they haven't found her as yet. She's
nineteen years old. This is one of those tragic situations.
Help please. I can't even imagine your daughters at college
and you're hoping that everything is fine, because once they
(49:45):
go to college it's really nothing. You can't watch over
him like that and something happens. Please, there has to
be somebody that knows something. If you know any information,
please contact forty cow or the family forty Cows. Uh
Instagram is it's forty c a l all right. His
daughter's name was Sinaya. Now again that's Buffalo State College. Man.
(50:09):
That's horrible to hit. And I don't know you just
you just bought the energy all the way down Jesus Christ,
we could do that as his own separate breaks. I
just wanted to put that out there. I know that
people listen, and even up top they listen, so hopefully
if they know anything or seeing anything, definitely please reach out.
Lord have mercy. That's horrible. I can't even imagine. And lastly,
Caitlyn Jenna, he's uh, she's she's waiting on her debate
(50:33):
over transgender sports restrictions, and this is what she said.
This is a question of fairness. That's why I pose
biological boys who were trans competing in girls sports in school.
It just isn't fair and we have to protect girl sports.
But but if someone transitions and now identifies as a girl.
(50:54):
Isn't it delegitimizing their identity to prevent her good day?
Have a good day? Okay, what does she say wrong?
What did she say wrong? Nothing? And and and she
would know because she was an athlete back in the day,
you know, an Olympic gold medalist. So what did she
say wrong? I don't think how anybody could have a
problem with That's right? All right, Well that is your
(51:15):
rumor report now, Charlemagne. Yes, we're give me that, don't
you know. Let's talk. Let's talk why there's no permanent
friends or enemies when it comes to business. Okay, I
need a radio personality named Mazing Shreda to come to
the front of the congregation. We'd like to have a
word with him. All right, we'll get into that. Next,
it's the Breakfast Club. Come morning, So Breakfast Club, your
mornings will never be the same. Into for a chance
(51:38):
to win two hot end cell phones with twelve months
of service in twenty five hundred dollars thanks to Simple Mobile.
Simple Mobile. Out with the old, in with the simple
to enter and get rules. Visit breakfast Club online dot
com gets you get everyding or or drunk you, I'm
(52:03):
gonna fatten all that around your eye. Want this man
to Dolden Blowers many with Charlemagne to Blows had to
make a judgment of who was going to be on
the Donkey of the Day. They chose you a breakfast
club bitches, Who's donkey of the day today? Wow? Donkey
of Today for Monday May third goes to a radio
DJ and Saint Louis radio personality. His name is Mason Streeter.
(52:26):
Good morning, Mason. I don't know you, sir, but I
felt like this Donkey of the Day was so appropriate,
especially since today. Okay, our latest breakfast club affiliate is
a radio station in Charleston, South Carolina names Z ninety
three Jams Traveling in Clues Bums because he ninety three Jams.
That station is very special to me because it's the
heritage station that I grew up on and as far
as my radio career is, the station that I grew at. Okay,
(52:49):
Z nine three Jams is where I started as an intern.
I worked in the promotions department and I was a
part time radio personality there. Why am I telling you
this story because it's the first radio station I work
that Okay, I worked at six other ones since then. Okay, yes,
I've worked at seven different radio stations, and my almost
twenty three year radio career. Okay, from South Carolina to
(53:11):
New York, to Philly, back to New York and now
nationally syndicated all over the country. Look at God. Okay,
thank you God. Now, being that I've worked at seven
different radio stations, being that I've been fired four times
from some of these stations, I don't even bother to
have an office, okay right now to this day, because
if they need me to roll out, I'm gonna just
roll out. That's how fickle this business can be. It's
(53:32):
no stability in radio until you get to a certain position,
and then even then it's like, okay, maybe it's my
PTSD from being five four times. But I've been in
this business long enough to know that the game is
indeed a revolving door. It's just the cycle of leaving
and returning. Now, I have no idea how old Mason
Schreider is. I have no idea how long he's been
in radio. But man, old man, did he make a
(53:55):
rookie mistake in regards to making a commitment to the
radio station okase. Mason Screeter is half of the morning
show Mason and Remy, and he decided to get the
radio station's logo tattooed on his arm. To all my
aspiring radio personalities out there, trust me when I tell
(54:16):
you these radio stations ain't loyal and kay Lord, have mercy,
all right. Don't ever think in this business a radio
that folks are your friends to the extent that you
should get a tattoo of set radio station on your arm.
It is all kind of ways to show you a
riding for the station you are currently work at. How
About wear a T shirt with the station's logo on it.
(54:36):
How About wear a hat with the station's logo on it?
Put a bumper sticker of the station's logo on your car.
We're a damn jacket with the station's logo, but a tattoo.
Why did he get the tat on his arm? Well,
let's hear it from Mason himself. Let's go to ninety
two point three. Wil So, we played Mason versus Remy
on the show Remy and I compete. I lost in
the month of April. And when you're losing our game,
(54:58):
you reach into the bag of cringe and whatever you
pull out of that bag you have to do in
order to make good for your loss. I pulled out
tattoo and I got the ninety two three wil logo
permanently tattooed on my body. Now, just because you pulled
tattoo out of a bag, right, the cringe bag as
they call it, does it mean you had to get
(55:19):
a permanent thatdoo? Couldn't you get a temporary one? I'm
sure it's like Mason, you're a growing ass man. You
had to know this wasn't a good idea. Some bets,
I'm just not participating in. Okay, this is bigger than radio.
I feel like there's someone out there in corporate America,
just in the world right now who needs to hit it. Okay.
That job you work in that is not dying for you, Okay,
that relationship you in that person is not dying for you,
(55:42):
all right. That job you're working that you won't be
able to pass along to your kids, that person you
wit right now you're not gonna marry, Okay. I don't
care how life changing said job is. Right now. I
promise you in the future you will move on. I
don't care how good that raw pp you feel. In
the future, I promise you you will move on. Okay,
I don't care if you work did that job for
twenty years, don't you dare get no tattoo of that
(56:02):
station on your arm. I don't care how long you'men
dating that person. If you're not married, don't even get
that person who named tattooed on you. And even then,
don't do it now. You don't have to listen to me. Okay.
We can use Mason as an example because the reason
he's getting donk here today is not just because you
got the station logo tattooed on his arm, but less
than a week later, less than a week later, he
(56:24):
was laid off from the same radio. No listen, man,
it hurts when people learn late what you learned early.
There are no permanent friends or enemies when it comes
to business. Therefore it should be no permanent tattoos. All right,
This goes for jobs, relationships. The moral of the story
is never make a permanent decision based off temporary feelings.
Are temporary situations. Please give Mason Schreeder the biggest shall
(56:53):
damn it math? You want to play a game? I
do want to play a game. Okay, let's a game
of gas? What racing? Alright? What a my clues? All right?
Mason Schreeder Mason. He was part of a morning show
called Mason and Remy and Saint Louis. Mason and Remy.
He got a tattoo of the station's logo on his
(57:15):
arm ninety two point three w I l Less than
a week later, he was fired, DJ envy gas what race?
This is a tough one. This is a tough one, right.
So I'm trying to think of how many Mason's that there?
I know that a black or white? Right? I know
a lot of Masons that are black, right, especially Mason
used to play for the New York Knicks. Right, but
that was his last name, idiot, that that's Anthony Mason.
(57:37):
I gets you, right, Yeah, damn it? Man? So that
kills everything I was just thinking about. Got here, man,
I don't know black people ain't tattooing stuff that did.
Excuse me? What're you about to say? What was you
about to say about black people? Right? I was gonna say,
we don't really chattoo stuff that we don't. But are
(57:57):
you out of your goddamn get I'm trying to put
this together. Remy, you go to your car show on
the land and look at all the stupid tattoos you see, right,
all right, you convinced me I'm black. Damn damn. I
didn't want to say that, but you con me as
DJ Dramas DJ Dramas. Mason Streeterer part of a morning
show called Mason and Remy got the tattoo at the
(58:19):
station logo on his arm ninety two point three w
I L Mason Streeterer. Mean guess what Racey was Dramas?
So I mean Mason and Remy's the name of the
morning show. Remy makes me think of Remy Ma. So
maybe he's on like a urban radio station as they
call it. Could be drink Remy could be a drink too. Yeah,
(58:39):
I think he's white though. I'm gonna guess what's the reason.
How do you go white? You just said everything that
was urban because because I also just this is just
stupid things that white people do, thinking it's funny that
they would put a tattoo thing tattoo. You ain't gonna
do that up here. Somebody's get shot of that. Let's
be honest. Why why would somebody get shot? Because that's
that's extreme. You come on, has wolverine tattooed on his owner?
(59:03):
I was eighteen years old. No, it wasn't stop. Tattoos
were illegal in South Carolina and guy named t Willis
used to do tattoos. Bro Okay, he wants to get
a Wootan logo on him right now? Adding that means nothing.
That means nothing, okay. Um. I would like to tell
you that DJ Envy you are wrong. Yes, DJ Dramas,
(59:24):
you are absolutely. Mason Streeter is indeed Caucasian. And I
left out one of the big clues because it would
have gave it away. He worked in the country music
Mason Streeta worked in the country music radio station. So
guess what race? He's Caucasian? Man? All right, all right,
(59:48):
lost that one. All right, thank you for that donkey
of the day. Now, when we come back in the rumors,
we were talking about Caitlyn Jenna's talking about. This is
what Caitlyn Jenna said this it's a question of fairness.
That's why I pose biological boys who were trans competing
in girls sports in school. It just isn't fair and
(01:00:12):
we have to protect girls sports. But if someone transitions
and now identifies as a girl. Isn't it delegitimizing their
identity to prevent good day? Let's talk about it. Eight
hundred five eight five one oh five one. Let's talk
about trans girls competing in female sports. What are your thoughts?
What do you think? Let's have a respectful conversation about it.
As long as everybody can be respectful. I think it's
(01:00:33):
it's worth a conversation. Okay, let's talk about it. Eight
hundred five eight five one oh five one. Is the
Breakfast Club? Good morning, the Breakfast Club. It's topic time
called eight hundred five eight five one oh five one
to join it to the discussion with the Breakfast Club,
(01:00:53):
talk about it morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlomagne the guy we are the bread Fish Club? Na
if he just joined us during the room, as we
were talking about Caitlyn Jenna. Caitlyn Jenna, she waited on
a debate over transgender sports restrictions, and this is what
she said. This is a question of fairness. That's why
I oppose biological boys who were trans competing in girls
(01:01:17):
sports in school. It just isn't fair and we have
to protect girls sports. But if someone transitions are now
identifies as a girl. Isn't it delegitimizing their identity to
prevent her good day? So what's the question? So we're
asking eight hundred five eight five one oh five one,
what are your thoughts? I agree with Caitlyn Jenna, and
I think she is the best person to have this discussion.
(01:01:39):
She was an Olympic athlete when she was Bruce Jenna,
so she can speak to the advantages that a person
who is transitioned from a man into a woman can
have in that space, you know, in the sitting around
and act like they don't have an advantage over biological
women is ridiculous, especially in combat sports. So I told
Ligal Caitlyn Jenna, Yeah, I agree as well, And like
(01:02:00):
you said, she was a superstar athlete, so she would
know perfect person to speak to this. Absolutely. Also, if
you're a trans woman, I feel like you'd make more
history playing men's sports identifying as a woman, because you'd
be the first woman to play in these men's sports, right,
you know what I mean, You'd be the first woman
in the NFL, you'd be the you know, first woman
to play in the NBA. I just feel like if
(01:02:20):
you're a trans woman, you make more history playing men's sports.
So right, let's go to the phone lines. Hello, we
have Britney on the line. Britney, good morning. Hey, what
what are you? What are your thoughts? So my hostel
is because I have a transgender sister, mynie is with
the hormones. I feel like the kids, like in high school,
(01:02:40):
start taking hormones early because the hormones break down the
test postpone in the body. Then I feel like they
should be able to play girls sports because they will
be as strong as men. Oh so you think it
should be based on how long they've been taking the hormones. Yeah,
if they take it early, Like just if you get
dress like a girl and say, okay, I'm transgender, I
(01:03:01):
want to play girl sports and you still have the
strength of a man. I don't think it would be
fair for the other females in the school. But if
you started taking hormones in high school, then it breaks
down the street. You want to be a strong How
long has your um, your your sister been transitioned. She's
been transitioning for like twelve years. Okay, okay, okay, well
(01:03:22):
thank you. I can basically like I can physically beat
her in a could you beat her before? Though? No? Okay, okay,
thank you. Hello, who's that that? That's interesting? Hey, this
is jas Many Jazz. What are your thoughts? So I
definitely agree with Kate Lane. I feel it's just a
fairness thing. Nobody's trying to take anyway anything away from them,
(01:03:45):
to the fact that they identified the woman by all
means your saying. But when you were a born in mail,
your hormones make curio as the females in certain areas
to strength. So whether it's high school sports or lifting sports,
whatever of the cases, it's just not fair. Think about
it like this. They have special Olympics, they have individuals
(01:04:06):
that have disabilities that compete in their own length. Imagine
if we had fully able bodied people competing against them.
Everybody's going to have that same argument. That's not fair
ABC SYD. So if you look at it like that, logically,
come on, guys, no, I'm with you. I like what
you said about nobody's trying to take anything away from
(01:04:26):
them because we're not and biological women don't want anything
taken away from them exactly exactly, and not to mention
another point, when you're born to women, our home owns.
They keep our butts into league and contest to this.
There's certain kinds of the months that we still have
to perform under certain conditions. They have that advantage off
the bat. So when we're going through mantuation and stuff
(01:04:48):
like that and we still have to run track and
list way and do all of this and perform under
those conditions, that's going to take away from our performance.
They don't have those troubleship relations that they got to
go through. Okay, well, they're always one hundred percent thank you,
thank you for your opinion. Than all right, listen, this
is a respectful conversation. We've heard both sides of the
(01:05:10):
spectrum already. You know, one one woman who has a
trans sister says that it should happen like it's fine
as long as the person has been taking hormones early.
Another woman says it should eight hundred five eight five
one oh five one. We're asking, you know, Caitlyn Jenna
spoke on trans girls competing in female sports and what
her opinion was, So we're just asking, what's your opinion
(01:05:30):
call us now it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning call,
and your opinions to the Breakfast Club top eight five borning.
Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlemagne, the guy we
(01:05:52):
are the breakfast Club. Naphew just joined us. We're talking
about Caitlyn Jenna. Now recently she did an interview with
TMZ was she was actually walking to a car. They
stopped and asked her a question about trans girls competing
in female sports, and this is what she said. This
there's a question of fairness. That's why I oppose biological
boys who were trans competing in girls sports in school.
(01:06:14):
It just isn't fair, and we have to protect girls sports.
But if someone transitions and now identifies as a girl,
isn't it delegitimizing their identity to prevent a good day?
I told you I agree with Kaitlyn Jenna, And like
I said earlier, she's the best person to have the discussion.
She was an Olympic athlete when she was Bruce, so
she can speak to the advantages that a woman who
(01:06:36):
is you know, transition from a man can have in
that space. And you know, it's just it's just foolish
to sit around and act like they like they don't
have an advantage over biological women, you know, especially in
combat sports. So I totally agree with Kaitlyn Jenna. Hello,
who's this. My name is Chastity. What's happening in Chastity.
Chastity just hit me and she said that you know,
she's a trans woman of color and she has a
(01:06:57):
strong opinion about and we wanted to get for a call.
So good morning, Chastity. What's your opinion? Good morning. As
the director of the Trans Emergency Fund of Massachusetts, you know,
I see it all too well with people who have
fun and money to supporting themselves don't see the real
issues in our community. And if you have transgender children
(01:07:18):
who are taking hormone therapy before the age of pen by,
there are teenagers, their DNA is no longer melt, and
I think people are missing that fat years of hormone.
Might be being on hormone for many years. I don't
have the strength of a man, and I think people
are missing that fat. Yeah. I mean, you're the second
person who called in and said that does this morning.
So should it be a matter of how long you've
(01:07:41):
been transitioning or taking hormones? I should say yes, as
long as you are on hormone therapy, I think that
you should be able to play the sports that you
identify with. Not see to the trans warner, go play
with little boys playing football? Absolutely not hold and say
that again. So I'm saying, should trans little girls who
identify as trans, they shouldn't be allowed to be cheerleaders,
(01:08:03):
but they should be allowed to play football. You're saying
they shouldn't. I'm saying that it's a disconnect because if
people are saying trans girls, little girls cannot play a cheerleader,
cannot be a cheerleader, but they can be a football player.
So now you have a female identified child playing football
(01:08:23):
with boys, it just doesn't make sense. Well, trans girls
could be cheerleaders because I mean there's there's there's young
men who are cheerleaders in grade school exactly, So that's
that's pace. Then they should be able to be football
players and basketball players female sports. It shouldn't be an
issue as long as they're taking hormone therapy. Okay, yeah,
as long they're taking hormone therapy. But shouldn't they be
on hormones for a certain amount of time? I mean,
(01:08:46):
that's that's a decision for one doctor, because you have
to think about the fact that I have access to
hormone therapy. Here in Massachusetts, many states trans folks don't
have that access. Yeah, you know, you said it's very expensive.
How much is it? Just so people know, it could
be thousands of dollars um. But I said, fortunately, here
in Massachusetts we have health insurance that covers our hormones
(01:09:08):
and trans related surgery um. And I think once the
rest of the country gets onto this, then maybe they
can see, like listen, these people are not just saying
they want to be somebody else like I would not
wake up and wish what I've been through a nobody.
Absolutely no, I agree who we are. Well, thank thank
you for calling, and we're gonna save your number. So
(01:09:29):
if if we ever have questions or any type of
topics like this, we can, you know, give you a
call if you don't mind. This is another perspective though.
I thank you because, I mean somebody else called in
and said the same thing I didn't. I never knew
anything about the hormone taking the hormones. Definitely, I'm definitely
always available for you all. Thank you, Chastity, thank you
all Right. Well, what's the moral of the story. If
(01:09:50):
there's a moral, I mean, I don't think it is
a morel. I think it's just a conversation, you know
what I mean. I mean it's it's it's as long
as you can be respectful and you know, have the
conversation from an honest place, and you know nobody's because
nobody's trying to take anything away from the trans community.
And you know, biological women don't want anything taken away
from them. So I think it's all worth for conversation,
all right. And when we come back, we gotta tell
you about Floyd Mayweather and what he has going on.
(01:10:13):
He was recently on million dollars a game, and we'll
tell you a million dollars worth a game. It's the
Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Do your job
and turn the microphones on. Happy Monday people morning. Everybody
is DJ Envy and Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy. We
are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors. Let's
(01:10:34):
talk Michael B. Jordan's tea. This is the rumor report
with Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. Now I have
this problem as well, all right. Michael B. Jordan says
being the sexiest man alive is a gift in the curse.
He said that about himself. That's arrogant. Why would he
(01:10:54):
call himself the sexiest man alive? But all because the
People magazine called him the sexiest man alive. Yes, yeah,
it is a gift in the curse. That's not exactly
how he feels. Shut up, you don't find me sexy? No,
y'all sound stupid. Continue, It's a gift in the curse,
you know, he says. People don't tell you that you
instantly have a target on your Back's bet, he says,
(01:11:22):
I mean all my boys in every group chat, just
imagine they're just constantly roast to me. That's what Jordan
said on Fact. A lot of that can be a
lot of that can be some hate and slight envying,
slight jealousy, you know what I mean. I don't even
know how you acknowledge that, how you congratulate your boy
on that, congratulate being the sexiest man alive? Thank you?
Shut up? Well we have audio him talking about it.
(01:11:44):
It's a gift and a curse, you know. It's people
don't tell you that instantly have a target on your backs.
I mean all my boys, you know, and every just
imagine just just constantly roast to me. It's like everything
I do is like, Oh, it's because the sexiest man
alive is taking off his jacket where he raised his shirt.
He eats like the sexiest man like my mom and
(01:12:06):
my like my aunts. You know, they they have a
kind of vacuum sealed, you know what I mean, and
like you know, seran rap. You know, that's like up
on the mantel because they they brought every issue. Yeah,
off the news that everyone happened to me too. He
might need to watch your circle. That sounds like a
little bit of hate though they do. If your boys
are constantly talking about that over and over, that sounds
(01:12:27):
like a little bit of slight envy. What his friends
with him? Yeah, you know, he happened to me all
the time. You wouldn't understand all right now, Floyd Mayweather,
he's uh. He was talking to Gilly the King and
Willow on their podcast and he was talking about who
was one of the best fighters he faced. The best
(01:12:50):
fighter off of our party was Mani Pacio because because
of his movement, But the roughest fighter probably was a
guy named Ammanuel Augustus. Do you talk about the drunken
man as tough because he was h it was just tough,
and Miguel Coldo was very very very very physically strong. So, um,
you got different fighters, different you know, different days, you
(01:13:11):
feel different ways. Do you miss the roar of the crowd? No,
I'm okay. So to my guys, Gillian Willow a million
dollars worth a game podcast. They out here cooking in
these streets, sure, or now they talk about fighting. Logan Paul,
it was crazy that everybody. He asked me, why are
you not coming back to fight? So I look at
the fight game, I said, Okay, fighters fighting, they make
(01:13:32):
three million, four millions, six million, seven millions. Some may
make ten or twenty millions. But I'm doing exhibitions and
I'm making twenty five million, hundred million for exhibitions. So
why would I come back and fight and get a
guaranteed thirty five million when I'm doing exhibitions and getting
one hundred million. I mean, I get it. He's absolutely right.
(01:13:54):
I respected on a business level, but I just don't
agree with it, you know what I mean? Just because
he's Floyd may was What the hell is Logan Paul
done to be in the ring with Floyd Mayweather other
than have a bunch of Instagram followers and a bunch
of views on YouTube like being the ring with Floyd
Mayweather is a is a privilege, and it's an honor
and it's a guaranteed payday. But what is Logan Paul
done to get that guaranteed paid it? Right now? But
(01:14:18):
I do want to see the fight, not now, Blue Face.
You know, earlier this week, earlier last week, he was
accused of running a colts because he had allegedly a
bunch of women living with him. But now he's being
accused of assault after allegedly beating up his girlfriend's neighbor.
(01:14:46):
What the hell did you display? All right? So that
was allegedly blue Face beating up the neighbor. And they
believe that maybe the rapper's girlfriend recorded, because it's all
it's everywhere. It's nothing about that viral. Man, you're a
whole six nine out here in the wow all right.
And lastly, it seems like people got on Big Sean
(01:15:07):
over the weekend. They were making fun of his lyrics.
Did you see this? I did what? But that happens
all the time on social media for some reason, that's
like that happens at least once a year where they
get on Big Sean about his lyrics, but what was
what happened was mostly about this song right here. I
need some sound of that, need to play with, that
need a shot, So I feed my safe to school.
I'd be witted. He win in Rose. I see he said,
I'm quagmire my cast flow. I get a get oh boy, insane,
(01:15:34):
pulling up the Mercedian, rolling up like I'm Damian. I
love girls. It's Arabian, Albanian, Caucasian. I ride around ny
cranium because my talk is hardest titanium. I don't feel
like I'm tripping. But that song is old as hell
it is, and I don't know why they keep bringing
it back up. That song came out in twenty eleven.
This weekend they were calling him the worst rapper ever no,
and which is not true at all. First of all,
(01:15:56):
Big Sean can wrap his ass, definitely can. All right,
This is one of those things that pop up on
social media from time to time when people debate whether
Big Sean, you know, wraps the corny lyrically delivery flow content.
Big Sean checks all boxes. He gets busy. He is
an MCSMC. I don't know what the hell y'all talking
about dropping the clues bos with Big Sean? Are you crazy?
(01:16:17):
So people are dumb? People were mad because he was
blocking people as they were putting this stupidness. That's right,
he protecting this piece. It's mental health aware in this month. Okay,
I gotta protect my peace of mind. I don't see
all that negative energy on my timeline. It's one thing
to have an opinion, but they literally do this to
Big Sean like once, like once a year. They just
get on Big Sean about his lyrics and I don't
I don't understand why Sean gets busy like it's stupid.
(01:16:39):
All right, Well that is your rumor report. Angela Ye
will be back tomorrow. Shout to revote. We'll see you
guys tomorrow as well. I had everybody else to People's
choice mixes up. Next, let's go morning. Everybody is DJ Envy,
Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy, we are the Breakfast Club.
We got a special guest on the line, doctor Cameron Webb.
Good morning, good morning, good morning. How are you now?
(01:17:00):
For people that don't know? I know you work at
the White House? Now, so what do you do for
the White House? So I'm a Senior Policy advisor for
Equity on the White House COVID Response Team, so or
the team that's responsible for really the whole response, the
whole effort to make sure that we're navigating this pandemic,
getting things back to normal, getting folks vaccinated, saving lines.
And my focus is on making sure that we're doing
(01:17:22):
that in an equitable way, making sure that communities of
color aren't left behind, that rural communities aren't left behind,
that we're keeping an eye on all the populations that
have been disproportionately affected. And so that's the work. So
the response was fed up from the old administration. We
all know that. So I guess now you guys are
trying to fix what the old administration just ignored and
thought wasn't going to be anything serious. Well, I think
(01:17:45):
that you're right there. There were a lot of deficits
from when we came in and on January twentieth, and
so we're starting from that point, recognizing that we didn't
have any time to spare, So there was a lot
to do. And I mean, if you look back, you
know even last April this time last year, you know,
black communities we're seeing about four times the cases you know,
the Latin next community seem four times the cases of
the white community. So we knew from the very beginning
(01:18:07):
that this was a huge equity challenge. And if you
fast forward to where we are today, yes, some of
those numbers have shifted, but the challenge has remained, and
the pandemic has had a really disproportionate impact. So so
much of our work has been trying to write that shift,
trying to narrow those gaps and get it to the
point where it's fair for everyone. Now I see the
administration is clearing about the fact that it seems like
(01:18:29):
we've hit a wall, right, A lot of people are
not trying to get vaccinated. At first, it was happening
really really quickly, but now it seems like people are
not showing up for that. What are you guys gonna
planning to do about that? And what do you think
the reason for it is? Well, I would disagree. I
don't think we've hit a wall. We're still doing about
We're still doing about three million shots today, so we're
still vaccinated quite a few people. I think that part
(01:18:50):
of what you're referring to, though, is, you know, some
of the stats that we've seen some of the recent
articles about you know, vaccine appointments going unfilled in certain
parts of the country. So there's still a lot of
confidence work that we have to do. And that's not
just confidence in the safety or the efficacy of the vaccine.
We've made a lot of those arguments. I think in
some instances, some people feel like they don't necessarily need
to get vaccinated. They're waiting to see if everybody else
(01:19:13):
gets vaccinated, maybe they can get the benefit of the
herd immunity. So what we're doing is we're pushing to
make sure that everybody knows the value and the benefit
of vaccination to them specifically. And we're also making sure
that no county, no city, no community is left behind
in this right and so that's a really targeted effort.
We're working with community based organizations, faith based organizations, trusted messengers,
(01:19:34):
just making sure we're getting the information to people in
a way that they can trust and rely on. Oka.
So you talk about the COVID cases in the US
and the things that you just talked about, right, and
now we look at a place like let's say Texas, right,
Texas said, f your mask, everything's wide open f this
and you don't see the cases necessarily rise in like
a place like New York and New Jersey, who has
(01:19:55):
all these mandates and you have to wear a mask.
So what do you say for something like that to
people who saying in Texas that you know, the cases
are not shooting up like New York and New Jersey
and we still have all these mandates, still have to
wear masks still. You know, they just raised the capacity
to fifty percent in restaurants and you know you can
still only on indoor events only have two hundred and
fifty people. So it's but then you look at Texas
(01:20:16):
and they open open. Yeah, no, no, two communities are
the same. Those public health measures, wearing a mask, maintaining
physical distance, uh, you know, and also handwashing, those are
critical components. And then the last of course is getting
vaccinating when it's your turn. You never know when your
community is going to be the next one that's hard hit,
and we've seen that time and time again in this pandemic.
So those public health measures are to protect you from
(01:20:39):
from potential search, to protect those cases from getting into
your community and moving quickly. And so I'm I'm a
practicing internal medicine doctor I work in the coronavirus unit
at my hospital at the University of Virginia. So you've
seen many times of the course this pandemic where suddenly
you get this kind of a series of cases from
the same community because you know they may not have
(01:21:00):
been adhering to those policies as well. So you know,
sometimes it's it's the better part of valid to be safe.
And what our thought is, we get through this pandemic
faster if we all maintain those public health procedures while
we're getting everyone vaccinated. Got you think that confidence has
also waned because of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine and
they pause it and now it's back open again. But
(01:21:22):
what do you think that I did as far as
people who were already a little skeptical about getting vaccinated, Well,
it's kind of an interesting effect because for a lot
of people, you know, we saw at that time it
was six cases out of seven point two million shots
of Johnson and Johnson. So for a lot of people
we were hearing them say you're pausing it over only
six cases. It showed that our vaccine monitoring are monitoring
(01:21:45):
for adverse events was working and we were able to
detect really rare adverse events. Now that said, for some people,
they look at that and they say, hey, that's pretty scary.
And our response to that is we took a two
week pause. We had this whole process. We brought together
the signific leaders, the experts, they had not one, but
two convenings, and ultimately they came to the conclusion that
(01:22:06):
it's safe to proceed with this vaccine, that the risk
of adverse events was incredibly low, and we'd give an
additional warning. So now our doctors, like myself, we know
what to look for. You know, people know what the
risk is, and we have two other vaccines that are
highly effective, highly safe as well, so people do still
have that choice. And so I think it's it works
because Johnson and Johnson is a unique vaccine out of
(01:22:28):
the three. Yeah, but it's scary. They put a label
on it that says could get blood clots, and it's
like what does that do for people? Now, Like, even
though it's a small percentage, still like, well, maybe I
don't want to take the Johnson and Johnson, you know.
And then fris It just came out and said, hey,
we might need an additional third shot, you know. So
it seems like this is it's almost like where the
hamsters and they're trying us and be like, you know what,
let's let's switch this, which is very scary. Yeah, and
(01:22:50):
you know what I've seen. I've seen a lot of
blood clots and it's from COVID. COVID, the you know, virus,
that disease that we're all contending with, has caused a
lot of blood clots, far more than any vaccine. And
so the risk of blood clots, the risk of severe
disease from COVID, far outweighs the risk of anything with
the vaccine. So that's the first thing to keep in mind.
(01:23:10):
This is the risk benefit analysis. But the other thing is,
this is what's unique about our administration's approach to this.
We've focused in on science. So none of the recommendations
are just experimentation. None of the recommendations are just the
best guests. They're all rooted in numbers, in data, in
science and people. And at this point, we've had you know,
well over one hundred million folks who've been vaccinated, over
(01:23:31):
ninety million fully vaccinated. We've monitored what's happened with every
person who's been vaccinated, who's signed up and so for us,
we're keeping close track on how this is playing out.
And I always tell people this story. Right, I'm I'm
the third of six kids. I got two parents and
a wife that I love, all adults, and for all
of us, we've gotten you know, some of my family
have gotten Fisers, some Maderna, some Johnson and Johnson. I
(01:23:52):
believe every family member of mine has gotten a life
saving vaccine. You know, it is protected from the worst
of COVID, and that is a huge source of for
me and I think for other families like all right, well,
doctor camera Web, we appreciate you for checking in and
hopefully we'll see you soon. All right, I'll take care now.

breakfast club. You know, finisly y'all dumb? What up? Y'all?

the real Change Opportunity Fund is uplifting Black entrepreneurs. And
we're here with the third player winner, George Akimpunk. Did

Now you have a business, the Pocket Advisor. So breakdown
what the Pocket Advisor is all about. Absolutely. So, the
Pocket Advisor is a financial social network for aspiring first
generation millionaires. And so the goal of Pocket Advisor was
to bring together the best and brightest financial minds, whether
it's in real estate, stock market investing, financial advising, tax planning,
(01:26:29):
and give you those advisors right in your pocket for
a very very affordable price, so that our community specifically
could have the insight they need to navigate their life financially. Now,
what inspired your business? I mean, we hit all the
time that our community needs to learn more about financial
freedom and more about generation the wealth. So what inspired
your business? Yeah? So I became a financial advisor about
ten years ago and the firm that I was working with,
(01:26:51):
they told me to make a list of two hundred
people that I wanted to make my clients, so friends, family, colleagues, etc.
But it had some specific criteria. You had to have
a certain net worth, a certain income, and a certain
non investable assets. And I was like, y'all must not
know where I come from, because this list is gonna
go from two hundreds to maybe two people at best.
And so I knew that that didn't change the fact
that my community needed access to those resources. And so
(01:27:14):
I wanted to create a business model where I could
serve other people that I care about and the people
that looked like me, to make sure that they weren't
blocked out of an industry that you know, had these
prerequisites that people had to have in order to work
with an advisor. What gave you that mind frame? Was
it attended an HBCU, was it your community or you
know what gave you that mindset? You know, I have
to make sure I help my own Yeah, I mean
(01:27:34):
I think, you know, just just growing up, right, you know,
looking looking around in my community and being young and
not necessarily known like what the struggle of the strain was,
but starting to get a little bit older and connecting
the dots that a lot of the stress, a lot
of the anxiety was tied to finances, right, And so
I was like, you know, I don't want that to
be a barrier for people, you know, if I can
be a resource to help them. Now, what do you
(01:27:54):
think about your business that made it stand out from
the hundreds of submissions that we got? You know what
made people you think come to your business and said,
you know what, this is great for the community. I
think this is one of those ones. Yeah, I mean,
I'm thinking it's because you know, our mission to impact
the community as it relates to financial literacy, right. And
so when you think about, like I said, some of
(01:28:15):
the stressers and concerns that people have, money is at
the top of the list. And when you have a
platform that not only is giving you those resources, but
also giving you access to people that typically you have
to pay thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars
to connect with, I think it really resonated because everybody
can agree that having less financial stress can be super beneficial. Now,
what does this competition in this process mean to you?
(01:28:37):
You know, like what you're having a hard time getting
money and raising money? Like, what was this competition? What
does it mean to you in your business? Yeah? What
it means to me is that it validates the need
number one, and it gives me and my team the
encouraging boost that we need to keep doing this work
because it's it's not easy. You have a lot of
experts who are making a sacrifice because they believe in
the mission. They could go out and charge somebody to
(01:29:00):
twenty thousand dollars a year to work with them one
on one, but they know that, hey, look that's gonna
still again block out a lot of people. So I
think it gives my team a lot of more moral
boots to know that our mission is needed. It's kind
of a slight validation and we're excited to keep the
mission going. Now now that you got this money, what's
the goal, what's the plan? What are you gonna do
with the funds? How are you going to expand the
business and take it to the next level. Yeah, So
(01:29:21):
the first thing we're gonna do is we're gonna start
building out our proprietary algorithm called Actspenny. And so if
you think about like, well, I don't want to say
any brands on air, but if you think about like
any voice activated you know, the device where you can
say hey and you ask it a question. We want
to take all the data that we're getting from our users,
all the data that we're getting from our creators, our
financial experts, and put that into a device that allows
(01:29:45):
people to ask it a question with the proper context
to be able to answer it right. So instead of
just a body that doesn't really know what your situation is,
we want this tool to really have the context to
be able to answer your question in a thorough a
meaningful way. So that way, it doesn't matter how many
experts we have on the platform, we have a tool
it's always designed to be able to answer your questions
for you. Now, when do you think you're going to
(01:30:06):
be able to kick this app off? It's gonna be
regularly ready for the public. Yeah. So the good news
is we have a beta version in the app store
right now that it's on another community platform. So if
you go to my Pocket advisor dot com. You can
sign up today and we have an active and thriving community,
And I would just reiterate that the most value add
a piece of the technology is the human element, right,
(01:30:27):
is the access to us. And so as we're building
out these other pieces behind the scenes, I'm answering questions
in real time. Other advisors are answering questions in real time,
and you can sign up for that today. In my pocket,
what's the biggest thing that people want to know about
on the app right now? Like, what is the thing
that people are like I need to know about this?
What is the thing that people are driving to right now? Yeah,
everybody's asking about two things. I would say probably that
(01:30:49):
can that is crypto currency. Everybody wants to know what
they need to do with bitcoin is at the right play,
and I would say NFTs as well. And then the
other piece is just general like stock market investing, because
during the pandemic, everybody was talking about investing in the
stock market. And now that the markets, you know, starting
to regulate a little more and it's a little more volatility,
people are looking for guidance on how to still make
(01:31:10):
smart plays. All right, Well, we wish you the best
and congratulations as well. Thank you for having me. They
appreciate it, not a problem. You can check everything out
right now on the website www dot mountain dew dot
com slash world to learn more about Mountain Dew's commitment
to real change for the black community and George Akiyampunk
did I say right? Yes, all right, I got it
(01:31:31):
right when we for joining us, man and good luck.
Thank you for having me. Djab
