Speaker 1 (00:11):
You're listening to the Buck Sexton Show podcast, make sure
you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or
wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Hey guys, welcome to the Buck Brief. Megan Cohler joins
us now. She is a correspondent at Right Side Broadcasting
RSB and a commentator on all things in the news. So, Megan,
first off, I haven't spoken to this audience yet about
the jay Z allegations. The P Didty allegations are so
(00:41):
very massive and severe that it's tough to even think
it's just a lot of you know, sex crime, sexual misconduct,
all kinds of stuff. The jay Z story, who's also
one of the biggest hip hop stars moguls in the world,
I think certainly in the top three or four big
allegations against him. What is in this lawsuit and just
(01:02):
tell us what we know about it so far.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
So, of course P Diddy was indicted federally in the
fall time, and now jay Z is the biggest celebrity
to come out in the headlines recently in terms of
the P Didty parties and all that stuff. So he
has been accused of raping a thirteen year old in
the year two thousand. I think it was along with
(01:26):
P Didty as well, and they said an unnamed female
celebrity was also watching this, so pretty disgusting stuff. The
P Didty parties were pretty horrific sites to see, I'm guessing.
So it's going to be crazy as all this is
coming out, and P Diddy of course has been in
the headlines, and now jay Z is a huge celebrity
(01:49):
now going to be under investigation with this too.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, well there's the civil complaint against him. I mean,
this is particularly heinous allegation against jay Z. I'm sure
his team Actually, I saw some of the statement that
was put out, and I don't know, it wasn't as
wrong of a denial as I would have anticipated for
(02:13):
somebody who is claiming that he is innocent. I thought
the wording on it was was a little bit I
don't know, a little lawyer, shall we say? If this
continues on, I mean, I just have to wonder is
there a reckoning that you think is coming for the
music industry inst respect in Hollywood. I mean, these are
(02:34):
some of when you're talking about P d d jay Z.
You know, Sean Combs and I think Sean Carter, right,
that's jay Z's actual name, Is that right? Uh? These
are some of the biggest. I mean I grew up
where the music of jay Z and Puff Daddy was everywhere, right,
I mean, you know this is they were very big
in the nineties. Do you think there's a reckoning that
comes from this or what happens?
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I think we're seeing the demise of Hollywood right before
our eyes. I think the music industry, athletes, the Democratic Party,
they're all in cahoots and they've been having this diddy party,
so to say metaphorically, for a year and decades and
it's all coming crumbling down right fo our eyes. We're
about to see all kinds of celebrities coming out as
being involved in these ditty parties. And jay Z's just
(03:19):
the next one up.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
You had a story you wanted to share. By the way,
I don't know any details of it, but I know
that you said there's something you wanted to tell, so
by all means, you know, I wanted to give you
the floor.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Awesome. So you're early into sports, I guess right, No.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
That's actually Clay. I'm the one who's not as into sports.
But that's okay. We're very similar in other ways, but sports.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Like it.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
I like some sports, but yes, go.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Ahead, okay, perfect. So I danced for the Cleveland Cavaliers
in twenty fifteen to sixteen, and then the RNC was
in Cleveland in twenty sixteen in the summer, and then
I danced again on the team from twenty sixteen to
twenty seventeen. And after my first season, I technically wasn't
on the team in the summer and Scotti Nel Hughes
from CNN posted on Twitter that she was looking for
(04:08):
female Trump supporters to go on and explain why they
support Donald Trump. And of course I love Donald Trump
from the very beginning. I've always wanted him to run
for president. So I was on the Trump Trump train
way ahead of time, and I was very happy to
go on, and I volunteered to do it, and all
my friends and family basically said, you better check with
the Calves because you're representing the Calves dance team and
(04:32):
you should probably ask them if it's okay. But I
was never planning on going as Megan, the Calves girl.
I was never gonna wear a Calve shirt or anything.
But I said, all right, fine, So I checked with
our director of entertainment teams, and I realized in that
moment that she was a big time liberal. I didn't
know at the time, but she started squeezing her fists
and her neck veins started popping, and she's starting to
(04:54):
get all heated, but she kept her cool when she
was talking to me, and she basically said, I have
my right to free speech that I can go on
CNN and talk about my support for Trump, but they
strongly discouraged me from doing it because the Cleveland Cavaliers
stays neutral. And she said she would check with the office,
and they wrote me a whole letter and basically the
(05:14):
entire thing said what she said as well, you have
your right to free speech, but the Cleveland Cavaliers stays neutral.
They were very adamant about that when it comes to politics,
they stay neutral. So I finally decided, I guess I
don't want to jeopardize my spot on the team because
they're very discouraging me of doing it. So I said, Okay,
I won't do it. And then two weeks later, Lebron
(05:37):
James himself is on stage with jay Z, Beyonce, and
Hillary Clinton at her Rally Slash concert that Hillary Clinton
was throwing for her campaign, and I said, what happened
to the Cleveland Cavaliers staying neutral when Lebron James, who's
clearly the face of the Calves, the face of the NBA.
He's to the likes of legends in the NBA, like
(05:59):
Michael Jordan. He's that big and he's on stage with
Hillary Clinton. But I wasn't allowed to go on CNN
as Megan Kohler not representing the Calves, So I thought
that was really iron And of course now jay Z
is in the headlines for being involved in these didty
parties and they were all on stage together at Hillary
Clinton's rally in twenty sixteen, so it's day Z. Beyonce
(06:23):
and Hillary Clinton and Lebron James were all on stage
together for the rally concert. But people ended up leaving
after the concert when Hillary Clinton got on stage.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Anyways, Yeah, of course, I also think it's interesting that
these when you're talking about jay Z and P Diddy,
these aren't just people we're big in the music industry.
These were treated both individuals have been treated as cultural
icons and political forces as well. Who you know, rub
elbows with the Obamas, the Clinton's, you know, vanity fair Vogue.
(06:55):
I mean all of the above. I mean these are people,
These are guys who are worth hundreds of millions, if
not I think Jay Z's actually worth billions now of dollars,
And that there could have been any of this alleged
conduct that went on for as long as it did.
Somehow there was no effort to investigate or get any
kind of justices. I think shocking to a lot of people.
(07:16):
But I wanted to ask you next here about the
Daniel Penny verdict, Megan. But first up, our sponsor here
is Birch Gold. Look. President Trump is going to be
in charge soon. It's going to be better for the country
for sure. But he's tackling a massive problem with Doze
and the people coming in to be his cabinet. The
thirty five now thirty six pretty much trillion dollars of debt.
(07:38):
Now that's going to cause systemic risks in the economy.
What can you do in the meantime to prepare yourself,
because even if Trump's in charge, we still have these
massive challenges, these huge problems. Hedge against declining dollars in
your bank account, that's where gold comes in. You can
diverse fy your savings into both cash and into both
gold and silver from cash, And if you look historically,
(07:58):
gold has increased in value over time. Birch Gold can
help you convert an iray or four oh one k
into an ira and physical gold. The best news is
it doesn't cost you a penny out of pocket. Text
Buck to ninety eight ninety eight ninety eight. Get your
free infol kit. Protect your savings with Birch Gold. Text
my name Buck to ninety eight ninety eight, ninety eight
and get started today. Megan, I don't think you grew
(08:19):
up in New York. I did. I can tell you
as a New Yorker today, everybody that I still know
in the city breathing a big sigh of relief about
the penny verdict. What do you make of it? And
how concerned are you about riots? Now that some of
the people outside the courthouse have been expressing their extreme
displeasure with.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
The verdict, I'm seeing some parallels between this and the
George Floyd incident from a few years ago. It kind
of seems like it kind of seems like when people
don't really know the entire story, they just turned to
rage and rioting. So hopefully that doesn't happen again this time.
But as a woman, if I was on that subway,
(09:00):
I would hope that if some lunatic was running around
threatening people on drugs, whatever it might be, anyone that
looks dangerous, my head is on a swivel anyways. But
I have been happy to see that there was a
man like Daniel Penney standing up and defending everybody on there.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, I think that the jury clearly agreed with you
and felt like enough is enough in the in the
city of New York. Do you have any I know
you're you're in Ohio, Ohio, gal right, Do you have
any Soros prosecutors that are in like Cleveland, Columbus, any
of the major cities there? Do you know? Because Soros
(09:37):
prosecutors have been seated all over the country in cities
like Saint Louis and San Francisco and Atlanta and Baltimore,
and you go down the list, do you know if
you've gotten any of that.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
There in Ohio? I'm not aware that we do.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Okay, because I mean, it's it's always something that I
think you see the worst criminal justice outcomes generally where
you have sorrows backed prosecutors and people are waking up
to that as well. You know, in California they've actually
taken a few prosecutors out of office where they've either
not elected them or I think there was actually a
recall in San Francisco of CHESSA Boudin or Boudin however
(10:16):
you say his name because it got so crazy. So yeah,
I think the Daniel Penny verdict is an indicator of
things going better for New York going forward, but it's
always tempered by the fact that Alvin Bragg is still
the DA. He went after Trump. I mean, you know,
thirty seven felonies. You know, they try to get Trump
with thirty seven felonies for a bookkeeping dispute, like how
(10:38):
he wrote things in his own bookkeeping ledger. They want
to set him in prison for this. It's like, it's
the craziest thing. I honestly, it's it's amazing. I'm also
got to these Speaking of crazy things, the shooter of
the United alleged shooter of the United Healthcare CEO was caught.
We'll discuss that here in just a second.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Look.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Practice doesn't make perfect, purpose perfect practice makes perfect, But
you got a practice if you want to get better
and that's where mantis x comes in. It's firearms practice
without AMMO, meaning it's all electronic. You just take the
mantisx system for your long gun or your pistol and
you attach it just like you would light or your
rail system or you know, to the front of the gun.
(11:19):
And it's so easy. I've used it here at home.
It works in your shooting technique, your trigger pull, the basics,
the fundamentals of shooting all get better with the mantis
x system. It's individual, I mean, it's helpful for individuals
of all different skill levels too. If you're novice or
you're an expert. It's a great gift for yourself or
a family member this holiday season. Go to mantisx dot com,
(11:39):
m A and TI SX mantisx dot com. So, now, Megan,
were you surprised by the buy anything about this guy
who is the alleged assassin of the United Healthcare CEO
Ivy League school, leftist, anti capitalist caught with the Manifesto
(12:00):
on him. What do you make of all this?
Speaker 1 (12:04):
I mean, some people are Some people when they first
heard the news, tried to say that this was a
random act of violence, and I don't believe it was
at all. He clearly was planted, there was an operation
behind him. This was completely planned. He arrived in New
York ten days prior on a bus. I mean, this
was very planned ahead of time. And he clearly is
(12:27):
a leftist lunatic if he's got the Marxist book on
him at the time, and he wrote messages on the
shell casings of the bullets that he used to so
this was some kind of planned up scheme of rage
and he was Why.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Do you think of all the I'm sure you saw
this online too, all the people who were jumping in
right after this happened, before we even knew those details
that you laid out, who were kind of clapping for this,
I mean, really in favor of a targeted political assassination
of an American right in midtown Manhattan, almost seven o'clock
(13:04):
in the morning, the busiest part of the city where
I mean, did that shock you? Do you feel like
that's just where the left is these days? How did
you see that in the initial twenty four hours after this.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Hit. It's pretty sickening how the left says that they're
the party of love and tolerance and we care about people,
were for the people, were for the people, and then
when things like this happen, they clearly have no regard
for human life. They didn't care that this man was
probably someone's father, someone's husband, someone's friend. They didn't care
(13:37):
about any of that. They just thought this is a
bad guy because of capitalism or whatever they have to
say about it, and they just wanted to take him out.
And it reminds me of when President Trump had his
first assassination attempt on his life. And I literally saw
people I know posting on social media, too bad that
the shooter missed by an inch, like they were they
(14:01):
were unhappy that this was an unsuccessful attempt, all right,
And yeah, and I saw that all over the place
and it was pretty gross to see. I would never
wit upon a Democrat leader, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Of course. And there's something deranged about the left, and
it's widespread. It's not like this isn't a one off thing, right,
This is a lot of people, a lot of the
common and I don't just mean even random people online.
You know, you saw do you know who Taylor Lorenz is?
Are you familiar with who she's? She's the Washington Post.
(14:34):
She's gone now, but she was a Washington Post reporter
covering the sort of online tech beat for a while,
completely completely bonkers, I mean, still wears a mask all
the time, gets angry that people don't wear masks around
her because she's immunocompromised or something. She's she's completely insane
and even you know, you see the response that she
(14:55):
had to this a lot of other people had as well,
was just I mean, there's something really deranged about how
much they hate healthcare companies and healthcare CEOs. I mean
they act like they're the Nazis or something. I mean,
this is pretty widespread.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Yeah, it's pretty sick that they just come up with
their ideas about how they hate rich people, eat the rich,
tax the rich. This person's evil, that person's evil. They're
a capitalist. We need socialism and they want to basically
kill the capitalists. And they don't even care how they
get there. So the ends justify the means with them,
(15:31):
and their goal is to take down the patriarchy, take
down capitalism, etc. And they'll do whatever it takes to
get there, and they have no regard for human life
in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Our sponsor here is a wide mote research and in
