Cam Higby, who we had on the show last week when he was on the ground covering the LA riots. This weekend Cam was in Seattle covering the hate and vile protests of these paid rioters. the Seattle protest over the weekend and the No Kings
protest and apparently was violently attacked and ended up in
the hospital Cam. I know you're an independent journalist. What happened?

Yeah, I had run into one of the attackers at
Seattle City Hall a couple of weeks ago, and they
were rioting there against a Christian group and he ide'd me,
and then he was back out again via the night
of the No King stuff outside the Seattle Federal Building
and he ided me and a group of three of
them approached me, held me down, beat the crap out

of me, and then helped me to the ground choked
me out.

I got big dents in my helmet. I believe the
guy who was punching me was wearing stap gloves, which
are filled with lead or steel shot.

They said they'd take him in. Never did, of course,

what I think was happening is they were monitoring me
on Twitter and trying to find out who I was.
In full black blocks. I'm undercover, so that's why I

was wearing the you know, twenty dollars helmet or whatever
from Walmart. So I'm undercover and they're looking for me
out of the sea of people in black block and
I think they might have had somebody go up behind
me with a you know, shoulder surf my phone see
what I was looking at and stuff like that. What
they saw me take my mask off and I put
my gas mask on. I foolishly believed that SPD was

going to move in and disrupt the riot that or
you know, they're lighting fires underneyth occupied vehicles and stuff
like that. Of course SPD wasn't actually doing that.

So what you end up getting injured? And I mean
did they get an.

Ambulance to you or did you get yourself to the hospital.
What happened?

Yeah, well no, I I called them in one SPD
never moved on the riot until after I called them,
and then like thirty minutes later they sent a continent
of officers. They said that they were going to meet
me at my location after I had you know, fled
six blocks away. Officer never came. So I went home.

I went to my car, drove home, and then I
went to urgent care. And then last night I had
some concussion symptomes, flare up, dizzyness, nausea, you know, light flashes, ears, ringing.
So I went to the er again and they said
it's not a brain believe, but it's going to get
better and worse and better and worse. I did land
a pretty good pepper spray on the.

Guy, though, well it's not something that should happen, but
you didn't have any help from the police, And that
was very reminiscent of the Summer of Love and what
took place out there. It's kind of dangerous now that
you are a target, and it's kind of dangerous. Look,
I've lived with this my whole career for the most part,

and I don't talk about it a lot publicly. I've
had my fair share of threats. Trust me, it's not fun.
It's not fun, especially when you have young children, which
is at a point my life when it also happened,
and it is a little scary. What are your plans
moving forward?

Well, I've gotten a lot of self defense tools, we'll
say so, both for in the field and for at home,
So I think I'll be fine. I'm just gonna have
to decide, you know, what days I'm going to wear
a play carrier, what days I'm going to be undercover,
if I'm going to continue to do undercover stuff. I

don't want to be intimidated by these people. That's what
they want. They want to decommission me, you know, they
want me to stop recording them committing crimes. They want
me off the streets, and they want to send a
message to every other independent journalist who's actually doing the
work that they will also get beat up.

Let me ask you do you do you have the
information on the person that made a specific threat against
your life.

I do have two of them.

Okay, so you're lucky you got too. And have you
shared that with the police.

Yep, I've shared it with the police. So I got
SPD is gonna They basically indicated to me that it's
low priority because assault and the prosecutors in Seattle never
do anything about crimes committed at protests, So this guy's
probably gonna skirt on on local charges.

And you you have, you have very specific evidence of
a death threat against you, and they consider that low priority.

Yep, there's so I was informed that there are nine
detectives for the entire city of Seattle SPD the night
of the assault.

Well, you've got to bring in the FBI.
Speaker 8 (10:29):
Yeah, damn, Bongino and Cash Bettel will not ignore this.
And if you know exactly who's doing it, I promise
you they won't ignore it.

So well, you got to protect you.

You've got to protect yourself if you have specific threats
on your life that those people. First of all, there's
it's a crime. It's a terroristic threat. You can't make
terror threats against innocent people. You're allowed as a journalist
to go out there and cover events whether they like
your coverage or don't like your coverage, just like I'm
allowed to give opinions whether people like it or not.

And trust me, I've got an entire security team that
gets on any threat. And it's happened a lot more
than you might imagine in the course of my career.

the real purpose for their donations at some point in
place in time.

damage is being done for these bad actors, that they

are coming online and I mean and on television and
saying we have a crowd for hire, protester for hire,

being made public. And if they're offering money to build
these crowds, it is a clear and present danger to

They'll champion wide open borders. They'll even fight for the
rights of illegals that are guilty of heinous crimes to
stay in the country. And they're just out of touch
with the men and women that live in this country.
And we're watching a political transformation before our eyes. It's
kind of cool to be a part of history. And

that is the Republican Party is now the party of
hard working men and women that believes in law and order,
in safety, and security, that believes your kids deserve a
quality education. They're not going to be beholden to the teachers.
That believes in energy dominance, a party that is going
to cut your taxes, eliminate tax on tips in overtime

and social security. And a party that is committed to manufacturing,
especially vital essential things like pharmaceuticals and semiconductor chips and
automobiles in this country. Donald Trump has ten trillion and investments.
Wait till that, Wait till that gets into the bloodstream
of our economy. And look how many high paying career

jobs in the energy sector, manufacturing sector are going to
take place. It's going to be a renaissance. So anyway
they're they're they're destroying themselves. Let them keep doing it,

people that build their own homes and cut down their

Seattle City Hall a couple of weeks ago, and they
were rioting there against a Christian group and he ide'd me,
and then he was back out again via the night
of the No King stuff outside the Seattle Federal Building
and he ided me and a group of three of
them approached me, held me down, beat the crap out

of me, and then helped me to the ground choked
me out.

on Twitter and trying to find out who I was.
In full black blocks. I'm undercover, so that's why I

was wearing the you know, twenty dollars helmet or whatever
from Walmart. So I'm undercover and they're looking for me
out of the sea of people in black block and
I think they might have had somebody go up behind
me with a you know, shoulder surf my phone see
what I was looking at and stuff like that. What
they saw me take my mask off and I put
my gas mask on. I foolishly believed that SPD was

going to move in and disrupt the riot that or
you know, they're lighting fires underneyth occupied vehicles and stuff
like that. Of course SPD wasn't actually doing that.

So what you end up getting injured? And I mean
did they get an.

Ambulance to you or did you get yourself to the hospital.
What happened?
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Yeah, well no, I I called them in one SPD
never moved on the riot until after I called them,
and then like thirty minutes later they sent a continent
of officers. They said that they were going to meet
me at my location after I had you know, fled
six blocks away. Officer never came. So I went home.

I went to my car, drove home, and then I
went to urgent care. And then last night I had
some concussion symptomes, flare up, dizzyness, nausea, you know, light flashes, ears, ringing.
So I went to the er again and they said
it's not a brain believe, but it's going to get
better and worse and better and worse. I did land
a pretty good pepper spray on the.

Guy, though, well it's not something that should happen, but
you didn't have any help from the police, And that
was very reminiscent of the Summer of Love and what
took place out there. It's kind of dangerous now that
you are a target, and it's kind of dangerous. Look,
I've lived with this my whole career for the most part,

and I don't talk about it a lot publicly. I've
had my fair share of threats. Trust me, it's not fun.
It's not fun, especially when you have young children, which
is at a point my life when it also happened,
and it is a little scary. What are your plans
moving forward?

Well, I've gotten a lot of self defense tools, we'll
say so, both for in the field and for at home,
So I think I'll be fine. I'm just gonna have
to decide, you know, what days I'm going to wear
a play carrier, what days I'm going to be undercover,
if I'm going to continue to do undercover stuff. I

don't want to be intimidated by these people. That's what
they want. They want to decommission me, you know, they
want me to stop recording them committing crimes. They want
me off the streets, and they want to send a
message to every other independent journalist who's actually doing the
work that they will also get beat up.

information on the person that made a specific threat against
your life.

I do have two of them.

SPD is gonna They basically indicated to me that it's

And you you have, you have very specific evidence of
a death threat against you, and they consider that low priority.

Yep, there's so I was informed that there are nine
detectives for the entire city of Seattle SPD the night
of the assault.

Well, you've got to bring in the FBI.

Yeah, damn, Bongino and Cash Bettel will not ignore this.
And if you know exactly who's doing it, I promise
you they won't ignore it.

terror threats against innocent people. You're allowed as a journalist

your coverage or don't like your coverage, just like I'm
allowed to give opinions whether people like it or not.

And trust me, I've got an entire security team that
gets on any threat. And it's happened a lot more
than you might imagine in the course of my career.

I got a wife and four kids. It was scary, but.

Now we're thriving in a state that we love to
be in. So basically, what I'm saying is, don't be
afraid to leave. But if you're going to stay, know
that that's your choice to pay those taxes and Governor

they want with it, and you can see what they're

I got out of New York for a whole variety
of reasons, not the least of which is people hated
me there. I mean I'd walk into a restaurant and honestly,
you can read a room and I mean they just
uttered disdain on people's faces at the side of me,
and I'm like, I don't have that problem in Florida,
just the opposite.

People are friendly.

They did if you came up here.
Speaker 8 (26:00):
Well, you know, I do love the I'm obsessed with
these shows like Life Below Zero and all these The
rugged individualism of the people of Alaska just fascinates me
and inspires me. I mean, people living off the grid.
And you don't have to live off the grid in Alaska.
You can be on the grid. But the people that
you know withstand, you know, very harsh winners, and they thrive.

And those people that live off the land, and those
people that build their own homes and cut down their
own trees and do their own trapping and hunting and
fishing and prepare for these long winters, it just fascinates me.
I mean, they're brilliant, they're creative, they're innovators, they're pioneers.
(26:46):
Their frontiersmen and women. I'm fascinated by it, but I
don't know. I have an interest in watching it, but
not an interest in living it.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
Does that make sense, it's not.
Speaker 14 (26:58):
I mean, basically, you acclimate to wherever you're at. You know,
you're in Florida now, it's probably pretty humid there, but
you're going to acculimate to that up here.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
It's about ninety degrees today at a high where I am.
You buy good get it really barely goes above ninety
ninety three because I have a coastal breeze in the
area that I'm in.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
I live near. I like to live near the ocean.
Speaker 14 (27:19):
Yeah, no, that's good stuff. We're right on the ocean too.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
But I just yeah, it's beautiful.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
It is to not be afraid to leave.

Don't let social security or retirement or anything get in
the way of doing the right thing for our country.

Well, I was a crabber and a long liner for
twelve years out in the Bearing Sea, so I didn't

we got caught in about one hundred and twenty nine
wins and I couldn't tell you how big disease were,
but they were big. And we were about one hundred
miles due north in the bearing seat from Dutch Harbor.

Don't think I think I'd be puking my How long

take the average American is going to have to realize
that the Democratic Party of their parents is long dead,
