Sean Hannity Show More I'm the scene, his information on
freaking news and more bold inspired solutions for America.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Right our two Sean Hannity Show told free It's eight
hundred and ninety four to one, Shawn. If you want
to be a part of the program, joining us now.
Former Vice president a friend of the program, Mike Pence
is back with us, sir. How are you?

Speaker 5 (01:25):
I'm great, Sean, great to be back on. Thanks.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
We appreciate it. As always. You know I've been spending
a lot of time talking about two issues, and I
really want to go into depth on these two issues
with you if I can. I'm looking at the economy.
It's a mess. We have given up the fight on
energy independence and we're now even importing energy oil from
from Venezuela, which is insane to me. We see what's

(01:52):
happening where you know, people can't afford to putting enough
food on their table. Seventy percent of Americans are suffering
because of Biden economic and energy policies. And then I'm
watching an holy alliance emerge right before my eyes. I
call it a new access of evil, and that is Russia,
China and Iran. And they're picking off some of our

(02:13):
former allies like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and others
were discovering they're picking sides, and they're picking China to
be the dominant force or superpower in the world. And
we have a president missing in action. So I'll throw
it out there, we get started. Whichever topic you want
to start with is fine with me. But I've never
been this afraid from my country as I am right now.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Well, Sean, look, this country's in a lot of trouble,
and it's because President Joe Biden has weakened America at
home and abroad. But not surprisingly you put your finger
on just what I was talking about. I gave a
speech at an energy conference a couple of days ago
in California at the Nixon Library, and we talked about

(02:55):
the economy, we talked about foreign policy. We began with
the Biden administration's war on energy, literally from day one,
shutting down the Keystone and Dakota Pipeline, shutting down the
Alaska National Wildlife Region, I mean, suppressing additional leases and
exploration not only caused gasoline prices to go through the roof,

(03:18):
but as you know, it reversed all the progress we
made under the Trump Pens administration, where we became a
net exporter of energy, we achieved energy independence for the
first time in seventy years. Everything proceeded out of that.
The gusher of spending in Washington, DC lit off inflation.
But I mean to tell you, the fact that President

(03:41):
Biden had to go hat in hand overseas to Saudi
Arabia and Opek to beg them to pump more oil
and they turned him down just shows you what happens
when you have week leadership at home, when you have
policies that are hamstringing American energy in the American economy,
it weakens us not only not only here, not only

(04:03):
harming families and the budgets, but it weakens America's place
in the world. But it just I'm not surprised you
started right where it all begins. That speech I gave
is up on YouTube now about the central issue here
is the war on energy, and it's one of the
reasons in the next year and a half, we've got

(04:24):
to win. We've got to win the Senate, we've got
to win wider margins in the House, and we've got
to get back to energy independence and have a new
Republican president that will lead us back to where we
were in the Trump Pens years.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Do you agree with my analysis that China has created
this alliance with Russia and Iran the new access of evil?
And do you agree with my analysis that the Saudis
have chosen sides now and they've decided to bet on
China being the world's loan superpower. And immediately after China

(04:58):
broke it a deal between the Saudis and ran And
now that they're doing it with Syria. What an opek do?
They responded by cutting down production by a million three
barrels a day. Was that were those directions coming straight
from China?

Speaker 4 (05:14):
To me?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
It looks like it.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Well, I think.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Look, I'd say this very respectfully. I think you might
be given China too much credit. They're just operating in
a vacuum of American leadership.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
But aren't they aren't they trying to fill that void?
That's what I'm asking, Well.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Thousand percent right. But what I'm saying is is what's
changed under the Biden administration is we were leading on
the world stage for all. Remember all the talk in
twenty sixteen that America knew isolationism and America was going
to pull in the shutters. No, that isn't what America
first meant. America first meant that we were going to

(05:53):
engage the world, But we were going to engage the
world in a way to put America's interest in American
workers and Americans security first. But engaging the wider Arab world,
supporting Israel as never before actually resulted in the first
peace agreement in twenty five years in the Abraham of course,
But since this administration came in and started begging Iran

(06:17):
to come back to the table, and the Ran nuclear
deal capitulated long before the first shot was fired in Ukraine.
They capitulated to Russia on nord Stream two. They've been
projecting weakness on the world stage, most notably the disastrous
withdrawal from Afghanistan. It's a vacuum of American leadership. And
you're absolutely right that, whether it's the recent deal that

(06:40):
China negotiated between Iran and Saudi Arabia, China is attempting
to step forward and fill that void that was once
filled with strong American leadership.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
And these are number one, number two, and number three
geopolitical foes. And I really believe that Joe Biden has
sent abdicated his role as the leader of the free
world and frankly the sole superpower of the world. And
I think China's trying to fill it. I think a
lot of it is related to energy. You know, economically,

(07:13):
think about this. Is it not good for American national
security to be energy independent? Is it not good to
create high paying career jobs in the energy sector. Is
it not good that America has you know, it's a
lifeblood of the world's economy, and America has cheap energy.
Would it not be good if we became energy dominant

(07:34):
and we have all these customers, allies of ours in
Western and Europe, and provide them with all of their
energy needs. We'd be an energy rich nation, wouldn't we.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Well, it's it's it's not good for everybody except environmental extremes.
Long for these, regardless of the impact on the United
States and on working families. And and that's just the
hard fact. Your millions of listeners know that.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
I mean that.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
I know the Biden administration tried to blame high gas
prices last year on the war in Ukraine, but gasoline
prices were up fifty percent before the Russian invasion in
Ukraine even began. So this is a result not of
the war in Ukraine, but the war on energy. And
the American people.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
See through it.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
It's like this latest thing with the EPA and the
Biden administration announcing their new regulations about trying to drive
the American people into electric cars. As I said, I
was in California, you got Gavin Newsom out there that
this administration has praised because he essentially wants to end
the sale of gasoline powered cars by twenty thirty in California.

(08:48):
And you know who the big winner is on that Schina.
I don't have to tell you, Sean, but it's China.
China makes most of the batteries that go in these
electric vehicles, and so this administry is driving forward. They're
driving us into these sets new, more expensive vehicles when
you instead of letting the American people choose to drive

(09:10):
what they want to try. The big winner, of course,
it's not only radical environmentalists.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
But China.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Let me ask you about the twenty twenty election in
this sense, and I believe elections are about the future.
But we're learning a lot. We now know that Mike
Burrell gave testimony that in fact, it was Tony Blinken,
the Secretary of State, that initiated that letter of fifty
one former Intel officials that before the election in twenty twenty,

(09:39):
saying that the Hunter Biden laptop had all the markings
of foreign interference and it didn't look credible to any
of them. Fifty one top former Intel people, Tony Blincoln
led that effort. They had no evidence at all whatsoever
to back that up. We now know, oh that the

(10:00):
laptop was very real, and that the FBI had it
in their possession in December of twenty nineteen. You know,
is that a kind of election in appearance.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
Well, look in my recent memoir, as you know, I
said that the suppression of the Hunter laptop story by
major arteries of the legacy media and by big tech,
and now we know this collaboration of former intelligence officials.

(10:34):
It was a disgrace that that information was denied to
the American people. And it would be a year and
a half later that these major arteries of the media said, oh, oh,
by the way, the Hunter laptop was real, and therefore
all the information that made it into the public domain
exclusively through the New York Post was true, and the

(10:57):
American people deserve to know that going into the election.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
But here's the where it gets worse, though, because they
quick break more with former Vice President Mike Pence. On
the other side, is the former vice president thinking of
running for president? Wilask him, Great Hannity tonight, nine eastern
on Fox. Hope you'll join us, all right, we continue
with former Vice President Mike Pence's with us today. The

(11:22):
FBI had a copy in December twenty nineteen, but they
also knew that Rudy Giuliani, who was the President's attorney
at the time, had a copy and that it would
likely leak. But we now have since learned that in
the months and leading up to the twenty twenty election,
that FBI officials were meeting weekly with big tech companies
and warning them that they may be targeted for misinformation campaigns,

(11:47):
And one person in particular, testifying in a case in
Missouri under then Attorney General Eric Schmidt now Senator Schmidt,
literally said Joel Roth is his name? The former integrity
site had at Twitter that in fact, they warned that
the misinformation might be about Joe Biden or Hunter Biden.

(12:08):
Now the FBI had the laptop. How long would it
take the FBI to authenticate that. I don't think very long.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
Well, it would. It would have taken them less time
than for Joe Biden to ask Hunter, did you leave
your laptop at the pawnshop?

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
In fact, the fact that Joe Biden in the national
debate cites a letter by some fifty former intelligence officials
who now we know all of them that have gone
public have said, we had no access to any information
about it. We just we signed a letter believing it
sounded like.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
But Tony Blinken led up the efforts and did Tony
Blinkin get rewarded by being secretary as they well.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Thank you and thanks for what you did on television
last night in branches to the country. Look, I have
great confidence in our Republican majority that they're going to
put daylight on this thing. But it's I just I'm
I have to tell you one of the great one
of the greatest injustices in American politics that Joe Biden

(13:07):
was standing at the podium, standing at the podium in
that presidential debate, uh and he recited a letter saying
that it was the laptop story was likely Russian disinformation.
When Sean, why wouldn't you just ask your son?

Speaker 1 (13:25):
By the way, I have that I have that moment,
we were running out of time. So not only I'll
play it, but you're one hundred percent right in what
you're saying. I can't let you go and not talk
about your future. By the way, I want people to
know something about Mike Pence. You know, there was a
couple of negative news stories about me. I won't get

(13:48):
into the details at all, but anyway, you're the vice
president of the United States, and you pick up a
phone and you call me and you say, I'm just
thinking about your praying for you, and I hope you're okay,
and I I was shocked at your level of kindness.
It meant a lot to me.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Thank you well.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
You mean a lot to our family, You mean a
lot to an awful lot of people. Shots God bless
you well. Appreciate so much, very kind.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Let's talk about your future. I know you're thinking about
it a run potentially for the presidency. That would mean
you would be running against your former partner. Where are
you in that process?

Speaker 5 (14:24):
Well, you know, we're getting a lot of encouragement from
around the country. I'll be back in Iowa tomorrow for
a Faith in Freedom gathering. I'll be in Georgia speaking
at a wonderful church in one of your favorite cities
in the country, back in Atlanta. Then we're going to
continue to travel and listen and learn, and I just
I'll end where I began this conversation. I think the

(14:45):
country's in a lot of trouble, and I think the
American people long to get back to the policies that
we were advancing under the Trump Pens administration, and we're
going to continue to work out as a family exactly
what role we'd play in that. But I promise when
the time comes that we're ready to make some announcement,
I'll make it. I'll make it right on Sean Hannity's show.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Well, we appreciate it, We really do. The four years
of your administration with President Trump were amazing for this country,
and we need to get back to that. We need
peace through strength. We need a president that is respected worldwide.
We need an economy that lifts people up, and we

(15:30):
need energy independence desperately, and we need our borders under control.
They're not all of this is happening, and it's never
been this bad to me.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Well, we did it before, and I know the American
people can do it again. And just couldn't be more
grateful for your voice.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
All Right, Former Vice President Mike Pence, we appreciate you
being with us. Eight hundred and ninety four one, Shawn
our number. You want to be a part of the program,
Your calls comments coming up straight ahead. You are listening
to the best of the Sean Hannity Show. Yeah, Joseph,
Independence and liberty every weekday, right, here on the Sean
Hannity Show. I gotta admit there's a certain amount of

(16:10):
kind of joy. It's to me, it's amusing. It's not
overly funny, but being in this business, it's kind of amusing.
Fake news CNN is in a state of utter, complete chaos,
this pandemonium that is broken out there because of this
Trump town hall and the fact that they allowed Donald
Trump to be on the air, by the way, which

(16:31):
gave them the highest ratings, not Fox rate like ratings,
but gave them the highest ratings they'd seen in a
long long time. And then after the show, then the
every single left wing you know, so called journalist that
is really a talk show host they just lie about
it was out there just just saying everything they could

(16:53):
say about Donald Trump anyway. But they did have one
person on there that was defending President Trump and ending
freedom of speech and defriending defending what a town hall
should be, and that was Congressman Byron Donald's of the
great State of Florida. Uh, here's him fighting back against
you know, it's like ten on one.

Speaker 7 (17:12):
First of all, town halls are for the voters, not
for the press, not for the person who's the moderator
Caitlyn spent more time interjecting her own viewpoints or her
own views on a situation. Those are actually, now, are
you well, are you guys not going to interject your
hand here?

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Do I get a chance to speak if you're Those
were fasts.

Speaker 7 (17:32):
The town hall is for the president to speak to
the voters of New Hampshire, not for this back and
forth in the Tredia.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Who Well, obviously they think it's their job to sit
there and fact check every single thing. However, there were
issues involving the twenty twenty election. For example, states that
had laws that said partisan observers get to watch the
vote count up close and personal. Uh, those laws, there
was no accommodations made for those laws, so they ignored them.

(17:59):
The constitution in the state of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth there
is very clear about voting by mail. They get very
very few and very restrictive reasons why people can vote
by by mail. Now, the legislature got cute and rather
than go through the arduous task of a constitutional amendment,

(18:20):
they decided to pass legislation. But that would have had
any court with any reason taking it up, that would
be deemed unconstitutional. That's Constitution. One on one, I had
similar issues. You had Supreme Court decision. You had the
Chief Justice in Wisconsin with a stinging rebuke of three
four case about how the laws of Wisconsin will be

(18:42):
in you know, absolutely ignored in that state. Now we
have more recently information about the FBI putting their cinder
blocks on the scales by by telling big tech companies
that they're likely going to be victims of misinformation campaigns.
And according to yol Roth, the form Integrity site had
at Twitter, he said, yeah, these misinformation campaign might be

(19:06):
about Joe and Hunter Biden. Why is the FBI meeting
and pre bunking any story involving Joe and Hunter Biden
in the months leading up to the twenty twenty election,
meeting weekly with big tech companies. That doesn't make any sense.
Then we learned that the fifty one former Intel officials
were being apparently recruited by active CIA officials to sign

(19:30):
on to that document that everybody knew was false. Well no,
but well actually that nobody knew anything about and they
just signed on to it because they wanted to give
quote Trump, I'm sorry, Biden a talking point against Trump.
So there are issues that need to be addressed, if
we care about integrity and our elections, if we want
confidence in our results. Some things that other people said,

(19:50):
I thought it was a little nutty, And if I
wasn't making that argument, that means I didn't agree with it,
and nobody proved it to me. But those are the
arguments I made then and I stand by today anyway.
Byron Donald's from Florida's here with us, How are you, sir?

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Doing good? Sean? Thanks for having me on.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
But there is a broad, sweeping generalization about like these
were the perfect elections in twenty twenty. I mentioned the
things that stand out to me. Do you agree with
my point of view on those issues?

Speaker 4 (20:15):
No? I do. I agree with you completely. I think
you're right. And you know, when I was doing the
post panel town hall stuff at CNN and I brought
up Mark Elias suing and all these different jurisdictions to
get election procedures changed, nobody combat at what I said.
You know, Anderson Cooper didn't say anything. Van Jones didn't

(20:35):
say anything. David Axelrod didn't say anything. They just wanted
to go back and talk about how, oh well, it
wasn't stolen, but it wasn't stolen. And I think if
you go back and look at twenty twenty, you have
Democrat operatives suing in these jurisdictions to change procedures. And
then the thing that in my view is the greatest
incin contribution in the history of politics is the FBI

(20:57):
working in my view, with the DNC to get the
Hunter Biden laptop story completely removed from the body politic
right in the heat of an election like that in
of itself is interference with an election, and you know,
you know, to go take it way back at twenty sixteen,
the Democrats are still fuming saying Russia involved themselves in

(21:19):
our election. Well, let me be very clear to everybody,
Russia can't hold a candle to what the FBI did
with this, with this, this, this letter and their information
going to the social media companies in twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Or the fact they are the misinformation Russian paid for.
Hillary Clinton paid for Russian disinformation dossier that ended up
being false but was used as the bulk of information
for four PIZA applications. That's a big deal to me,
I would think to you as well.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
It is. And I think where we go now, going
into twenty four is I think, you know, the RNC.
You know obviously I think Donald Trump's going to be
our nominee. So the Trump campaign and everybody's got to
be on high alert because these guys will pull any trick,
they will cut any corner to try to win an election.
And because it's about power, Shawn, you know that I

(22:10):
know that it's about them trying to ban gas stoves
and now ban power plans that don't meet some stupid
emission standard that came out of nowhere. And it is
all this stuff that is actually terrible for the American people.
But we're gonna be alert and we're gonna be on
guard because we just want to make sure we have
a fair and open election. Let the people decide it,
not pundits and not these shadow groups who might be

(22:32):
inside the FBI and other parts of our country.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Look as far as I'm concerned, and there were people,
for example, in a meeting I believe on the second
of January I have on tape I can played for you,
but I played it yesterday. I won't waste that everybody's time.
But you have Donald Trump himself, you have his chief
of staff at the time, Mark meadows. You have Chris
Miller then acting the Secretary of Defense and his chief

(22:58):
of staff, and then in the Inspects to General report,
they quote General Millie was in the room that Donald
Trump was willing to authorize the National Guard troops to
be called up. So we've litigated January sixth to death.
They didn't call up the troops. Nobody brought up those points.
But that's what they want to talk about, a fake

(23:18):
new CNN. I think elections should be about the future.
I think we have the worst economy we've had in
my adult lifetime right now, and it's getting worse. I
look at this new access of evil with China, Russia,
Iran and scares the hell out of me. I see
our allies pulling back from US and pulling away from US,
and they seem to be betting that China's going to

(23:39):
win world dominance over the United States. That concerns me
and should concern everybody else. But they're the ones that
bring up these topics and then they want to go
liar liar pants on fire because they disagree with them.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Well, one quick thing to fact check Kaitlyn Collins and
the CNN Nancy Pelosi or not Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker
of the House, is in charge of security at the
Capitol Police. They report to the Speaker's office. So what
she said in the town hall saying that, oh, Nancy
Pelosi's not in charge of security is a lie. She
was in charge of security. Do they report to the speaker.

(24:13):
That's what happens now. Kevin McCarthy's down in charge of
capital security. Those are the facts. But going to what's happening.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Byron too, I'll add one other person to this list,
and that's the former Capitol Police chief Chief Son who's
on this program. And he was begging for guard troops
in the days leading up to and the day of
January sixth. They wouldn't give it to them, give it
to him. And then we learned that our intelligence had

(24:41):
picked up on the possibility that there were going to
be agitators in that crowd with plans to do something
like what happened that day, and they didn't act on
that intelligence. That was reported by Lester Holt on NBC
News of all places.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
No, that's absolutely correct. It was testified in Oversight Committee
that there was an intelligence report that went from FBI
to the Capitol Police and so when members of the
Oversight Committee Republicans wanted to have the Capitol Police testify
to that fact, Nancy Pelosi never allowed them to testify.
And then when that fact came out, the Oversight Committee

(25:13):
investigations were stopped, and then Nancy Pelosi started her crazy
January sixth one sided committee. Those are the facts, that's
what happened. And so I think it's important in that
vein to understand, now we're looking at this White House,
we have massive amounts of migrants at our southern border.
I saw a video the other day that now they're
scrambling to throw up the border wall fence that they

(25:35):
let sit on the ground for two years, all the
material that they stopped construction. Now they're down there trying
to throw it up at the last minute. I guess
walls work, Shawn. When you really need one, you put
a wall up.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
That's why they built one at the Biden one of
the many Biden compounds.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Right, you got that, right, And so you have that.
Our economy obviously is a mess, this debt ceiling debacle,
where you know, you have a president who's just not
even talking to anybody, not engaged, but he wants to
blame everybody else. No, we're not taking that bait. Republicans
were committed to this country being better. We have plans
and ideas and strategies to do to make it better,

(26:10):
to get it back on track. But we're gonna have
to go get a new president because this guy is
a dumpster fire. That's over at sixteen hundred right now.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
By the way, I don't even think he knows today's Friday.
I say it every day because he doesn't know. Quick
break will come back more with Florida Republican Byron Donalds
is with US eight hundred and ninety four one, Shawn
a number. We'll get to your calls coming up straight ahead.
We continue with Congressman Byron Donalds of the Great State
of Florida. You know a lot of people have been watching,

(26:37):
as I've been watching you emerge as a very strong
leader within the Republican caucus. Do you have any other
future political plans for yourself?

Speaker 4 (26:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
I have no frigid idea. I have no idea at all.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
I can't.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
By the way, I know that's an honest answer.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Yeah it is. Well, you can't game plan politics. When
I ran for Congress, you know, I told my voters
that I was going to make sure we were taking
the message of conservatism everywhere, because that's what we're going
to need to do if we're going to win the day,
you know. So that's the job on' man, That's what
I want to do, you know. I know people talk
about other things coming up, but we'll see what happens
when it gets there. Right now, I'm just doing my job,

(27:18):
you know, trying to make sure that at least in
the House, we're holding the line that we're putting out
strong conservative policy, which is what House Republicans have been
doing under the leadership of Kevin McCarthy. And we're just
going to go get the job done. What happens in
the future and I'll leave that, I'll leave that to
the funual.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
You pass this border bill, which was not easy to pass.
You passed the no Stock Trading Bill, which I liked
a lot. I thought that was very smart. But more importantly,
you passed the bill to raise the debt ceiling, and
it simply will will send spending back to twenty twenty
two levels, which is very reasonable of my view. We've got,
you know, just a couple of weeks away now eighteen

(27:56):
nineteen days away from this debt ceiling default date that
Anna Yellen has given us of June one. And I
guess I don't know why Joe Biden stayed away from
Kevin McCarthy for ninety seven days, but he did. Kevin
was begging to meet with him. I'm pretty much on
a daily basis, he said no. So I don't know
what the White House is thinking, because I don't believe

(28:17):
with the small majority that you have in the House
that Kevin McCarthy's going to be able to go back
to the Republicans in the House and say we're going
to offer these changes that the Democrats want. Are you
all going to sign on to it? I don't think
he's going to get a majority to do that, do you.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
No, I don't, and I don't think that at all.
And I think the key thing in what you said
is our proposal is actually a modest proposal. We think
that just going back to pre COVID spending levels makes sense.
And so that twenty two spending cap is to talk about.
I'm gonna get a little into the weeds for the listeners.
What it really does. It keeps defense at the twenty

(28:53):
three level with a little bit of a kicker for defense,
because looking at what's going on around the globe, our
military has to be ready. But it also pushes all
the agency stuff back to twenty nineteen. And the reason
you do that is because back in twenty nineteen, you know,
it's not like we were you know, it's not like
we were pikers out here. We were still spending money,
but not the crazy plus ups that Joe Biden and
Nancy Pelosi did with these agencies. So you got to

(29:15):
get that back. It helps us get to a sustainable
playing field long term. So we view it as a
modest proposal, and you were able to get House Republicans
on board with doing this in order to say we're
going to raise the dead ceiling and then find further
ways to continue to get the nation's fiscal house in order.
While we were doing this for ninety seven days, like
one hundred days now working together, and.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
By the way, I talked to a lot of people
during that time. This was a heavy heavy lift to
get all you guys on the same page.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Yes, it was a heavy lift. While we're doing that,
Joe Biden is I don't know what he was doing
taking a nap, eat an ice cream. I don't know
what this guy was doing the Senate. And let me
say real quick, Chuck Schumer, those guys were doing nothing
over in the Senate. So they need to get to work.
They need to come up with a plan and the
strategy that we saw him they can pass the Senate.
Because I'll tell you this, as much as Joe Biden
said he wants a clean debt ceiling, there are no

(30:06):
votes in the Senate. They don't have the votes in
the Senate for a clean debt ceiling. So I think
the next step is the Senate needs to pass a
plan and then we sit down and talk over what
we can agree to that.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
But the Senate's not going to be able to pass
the plan because you got forty four Republican senators I
think maybe one Democrat Joe Manchin. They're saying they support
the House bill.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
Well, I mean, I mean John says.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
At that point, the default then lies with Joe Biden.
That's all I have to say. And he shouldn't have
sat on his ass for ninety seven days and did nothing.

Speaker 4 (30:36):
Totally agree and to that last point, Joe Biden could
have passed the debt ceiling in the Omibus bill last
Christmas Eve. He could have done that when Nancy Pelosi
was still Speaker. They didn't want to. They wanted to
set up a political fight. They wanted to put our
treasury markets in a lurch and in chaos. Joe Biden
wanted to create a crisis around this. I mean it's surprised.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Well, be careful what you wish for, because things are
bad enough. This will only accelerate the coming recession that
he caused. I do wish I had more time. Congressman
Byron Donald's Florida. We love having you. Thank you, sir,
you were great this week. God bless you for going
into over to fake news CNN was the only time
I heard common sense in a while there, So thank you.

(31:18):
