Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys, welcome back, and we've got a pair of
tickets right now right the ticket tag is on and we're.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Looking for Jenny Yabrico. Jenny Yuko. Oops, I said it's one.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Okay, that's nice.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
She's got fifteen minutes to call get in touch with
producer Riley six one seven eight, and if she does
within the fifteen minute timeline, she'll get a pair of
tickets for the sold out jingle Ball, which is next Sunday.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
It's literally about a week away. I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
And while we wait to see if she calls in,
we do this thing called Local Legends, Liza.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
We kicked it off what two or three months ago.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
It's a big hit.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
We basically highlight people that have been nominated, people in
your community, a school teacher, a nurse, someone in your family,
someone who you think is doing a really great job
and needs to be acknowledged, and then we acknowledge them.
We go to them, we go to their place of work,
we surprise them, and we've been giving them cool things

(01:01):
like jingle Ball together.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah, we acknowledge and we celebrate them, and we do
it usually at around this time on Friday mornings, and
it's been really cool for us because we go as
an entire show.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
We all get in.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Our cars and we drive them and surprise the honoree.
And this week's a local legend is a really cool lady.
Her name is Brenda Baiez and she's a paraprofessional teacher
at the Whalen School in Revere. And we pulled up
to the Whalen School in Revere and we were all impressed.
It's a giant school and a beautiful school. And it's

(01:33):
really cool because she's nominated by somebody else who works
with her. And the person that nominated Brenda was Anna
Maria Spirity, And they all wait for us in the
lobby and you have to understand, Brenda has no idea
we're coming idea. So then she comes out and we
meet with her, and she's done so many cool things.
It's a good reason she's being nominated. She does a

(01:54):
lot of things. She runs a talent show, and you know,
she doesn't get any support from the administry, from the town,
from anybody, but she does it for the kids in
the school and.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Then puts up her own money as a.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Teacher by costumes and props.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, and trophies and accessories and prizes. She gives gift
cards to the top three finishers. So she's a really
really cool lady. And that's why Brenda Bayaz is our
local Legend this Friday.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
So I love that the person that nominates the local Legend,
we have to, you know, communicate with them to set
up the surprise. So I love that, you know, you know,
they just they're full of anxiety, you know, as we're
coming up, and then we get there and they're nervous
and they're waiting to surprise the local legend happens every time.
It's really cool to watch. But my favorite part about

(02:42):
this girl is she's amazing. She does amazing things. But
she told us when we gave her the sold out
jingle Ball tickets she has never been to a concert.
I will be her first concert next week.

Speaker 7 (02:54):
This is the best.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah, yeah, and it's a big one.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Anyway, Congratulations Brenda byas you are this week's local legend
on the Billy and Lisa Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
You know what else is cool too?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
We got a write up in the local newspaper and
Revere Yeah they did.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
Ye get a copy of that.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah, so that's cool. So again, congratulations to Brenda.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
And you can nominate people you know. Right now we
are taking submissions. Yeah, kiss dot com slash Legend.

Speaker 8 (03:25):
And of course, thank you to Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare for
helping us give her a pair of tickets to doingle
Ball and being our partner this whole time during the
local Legends.

Speaker 9 (03:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I mean without Harvard Pilgrim Health Healthcare, we couldn't have
done Legends.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
So thank you to them. They were right on board
with us from day one.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
We have no really So her name is Jenny obviously.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Hey, Jenny, is this you? Yes, you are the Jenny
as in Jenny dot photo. No Jfino dot photo, No
Jenny Yereco. Your name is Jenny go yes, correct, Good
to Jenny's on the list. I get a lot of
paperwork in front of me. Jenny, listen, you got yourself
a pair of jingle Ball tickets.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
I know.

Speaker 9 (04:10):
I'm so excited. I cannot wait. I've literally been waiting
so long to win these tickets.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
It's amazing.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Almost everybody we talked to say they've been trying for
weeks and weeks and weeks to get their tickets, and
uh well they're like so excited.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Who are you going to bring with you?

Speaker 9 (04:26):
My boyfriend John or my best friend La? I can't
decide yet.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
You probably said it. Yeah, Oh, I don't know. Do
we want to take a vote? Who should you bring?

Speaker 8 (04:38):
Her?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Boyfriend or a friend?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
I'm saying bestie.

Speaker 7 (04:40):
I think yeah, I think friend.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
You could flip a coin, Jenny, I know, I might.

Speaker 9 (04:45):
Have to flip a coin.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (04:48):
Be a hard decision.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Well, you got some drama in your future, but you
but you're going to jingle balls?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah, the good news. You know, if they both get mad,
just go alone.

Speaker 9 (04:58):
You know what?

Speaker 6 (04:59):
You know what if you choose the girl and John
your boyfriend, just tell them it's over. Jenny Cool nine
tick attags, DoD jingle ball tickets. Weird stories up next
and a really weird diaper story Lisa has details. That
is next.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
It's one of way.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
It seems a little weird to me. Oh my god,
it's time for weird stories.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
I'm pretty creepy.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
With Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
So there's a new product on the market for all
you concertgoers out there who like to sit in the pit,
who like mash pits.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
They don't want bathroom breaks. It's called the pleather.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Pit diaperca It's a real thing, Winnie. It's compatible with
depend guards for men. It's seventy five dollars and it's
brought to you by Liquid Death.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
The scariest one sort of show. It's it's no bathroom
mile long lines. What's a music fan to do? Introducing
the pit diaper from Liquid Deck.

Speaker 10 (05:55):
Now you never have to leave the pit or worry
about lates ever again. Powered by pen guards, stop pit
diaper walks away recycled liquid depth mountain water flavored, sparkling
ried teeth and helps neutralize odor in Is.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
This a joke?

Speaker 6 (06:11):
It's seems to be real. I mean it is a
partnership between Liquid Death and depends. Where was this over
the summer when my wife went to post alone. We
did a whole break on this.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
This is this is a good product.

Speaker 8 (06:23):
I have to say, But I just don't know as
an adult, if I could just let it go in
the middle of the pit, Like, I know, you're peeing
into something, but it just feels wrong to sit in
your peek.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
If you can help it, we'll have a standing in
your poop.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Oh yeah, I guess you could do it both ways.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Yeah, because he says it eliminates the odor. I doubt it.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
Okay, Well, the thing is, you pay all that money
to be upfront in the pit or whatever, and then
you know you got to leave and you lose your
spot because there's no seats.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Twenty five dollars Are they reusable?

Speaker 4 (06:52):
It's it's a plethar pit diaper, It's it's leather.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
It's the picture. It's so much washing. Sorry, yeah, the picture.

Speaker 8 (07:01):
If you can't look it up Google and we can't
dot com.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Check it out, oh my yeah.

Speaker 8 (07:08):
Well okay, come on, I don't think I can do it.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
And you have you know, you definitely have a poop
face while you're doing it. On So Florida teacher arrested
found naked in an elementary school with weed, a laptop,
and sex toys.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Local police on the scene right here, and.

Speaker 11 (07:30):
They all saw a deputy. Quickly got dressed and exited
the school. Deputy tried to apprehend them, and at that
point the uh now clothed formally nude male committed battery
on that deputy. There was nobody inside the school at
the time.

Speaker 9 (07:45):
You know.

Speaker 11 (07:46):
As to the vulgarity, I think I just don't even
want to get into his mind and think about what
he was thinking.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
Uh huh, that.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Scary though, Hey, what have you got?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
All right?

Speaker 6 (08:02):
So this story is for justin mostly before you start whinny,
I should have I didn't write it there. But it's
not in Boston.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Yet, I know. I actually saw this story too, so
that's I knew that.

Speaker 8 (08:11):
But anyways, So Macaulay Cocin is in a new ad
for Uber Eats with carrolers, and the reason behind it
is because you can now order carolers on uber eats
for sixty dollars and they can also deliver a Christmas tree.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
It's not available bold in Boston.

Speaker 8 (08:26):
I think it's New York LA like the other cities.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
But it's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I like that.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
And it's tomorrow, Yes, tomorrow, you're listening in one of
those states, then you're in luck.

Speaker 12 (08:34):
Mcaulay Cocin sits by a warm, crackling fire.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Remember the last time I've had the house to myself
over the holidays? Uber Eats will deliver carolers to my door?

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yes, indeed, Oh what fun it is?

Speaker 12 (08:55):
You too can enjoy the delight of carollers at your
door on this semi of this seventh I would do that.

Speaker 7 (09:02):
This is a good idea.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
It's so cool.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
You can't do it here, but.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
It might come, you know, if it's a hit in
the other cities, it might come to Boston.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
I imagine for sixty bucks, it's nothing.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
Imagine Lisa shows up at your front door.

Speaker 7 (09:14):
It's beginning to look a lot like chrism.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yeah, you got a book that let's get on the
phone to Michelle. Wooh, she gotta make this happen.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
I don't think it's any.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (09:26):
Well, if they're looking for Carol result to it.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
Yeah, there we go. All right, you guys. Hear about
this guy in Panama. He's trying to break the record
for the most time spent living underwater. Oh that's one
hundred and twenty days. That's his goal. He's trying to
break the Guinness Book of World Records. So he's thirty
six feet below the service surface. He's in a capsule
and he has things like internet, a bike, but he
misses taking rail showers. He's a German guy.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
What Bill, I'm just curious about this guy.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
Yeah, he's in a capsule underwater, that's far down under
twenty days. Yeah, he actually gave a statement you want
to hear. Yeah, Oh my gosh, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 8 (10:04):
I have a genuine question though, with submarines. Don't sometimes people.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Live down longer than that in a submarine.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Okay, you know, I just when he does submarine may
ask the question.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
You guys look at you like, how dare I ask
a question? Like I'm curious?

Speaker 6 (10:19):
You know what you need to do when he what?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
You got to let it go? Okay?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Coming up on the entertainment, you know it's coming to
jingle Ball, Tate mccraye. You know who else is coming
to jingle Ball? Benson Boone? You know when jingle Ball
is next Sunday. Okay, we'll hear from Tate and from
Benson Boone next and by.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
In the morning we're back. Happy Friday. Everybody want to
get a talk back in Justin?

Speaker 6 (10:56):
I'm sorry, I can't hear you billy headphones.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
What happens?

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Just he just dopelean me.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
So my god, I for.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
We were recording something in Justin's studio and my headphones
were cutting in and out, which they've been for two years,
and so we swapped yeah, and I took his with.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Me, and now you really can't hear anything.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
It's like you gonna play with the wire. It's like
you Jack, that's what you sound like. God. Anyway, it's
the weekend, Happy Friday.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Happy Friday.

Speaker 13 (11:26):
It's the Mayor of the South Bend with some fun
holiday weekend stuff. First, head over to Jamaica Plane there

The Red Nose Reindeer will be on TV tonight at
eight o'clock on the NBC and also on Saturday, it's
the Boston Santaspeedo Run. Hundreds of men and women in speedos.
It all goes to charity and it's fun.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
I love him.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
I think he'll be watching and not running.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
I think a lot of people turn out for the
it's a good spectator.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Running their bathing suits in the freezing.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
It's going to be freezing tomorrow, it always is.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
Any can you put like a sweatshirt on over the.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
Oh man, I got a speedo really like a like
a one piece speedo.

Speaker 6 (12:16):
Oh yeah, it's going to be cold. Not a good pairing, No,
not at all.

Speaker 9 (12:21):
Now.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
The entertainment update with the Billy cobstap.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Man jingle Ball is like a week Away next Sunday,
TD Garden, Megan Trainer at Cash Shua twenty one Pilots,
kid Leroy, Benson Boon, Tate McCrae is in the new
Skims holiday campaign, right, Lisa.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
Yeah, we came out, you know, a little while ago.

Speaker 7 (12:40):
She looks so good, Minch.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I'll just bet she does, and she talks about her
deal with Kim Kay.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
We dm a couple of times.

Speaker 14 (12:49):
Yeah, we just kind of like they reached out and
they're like, do you want to do a holiday campaign?
And I was like, duh, Like I've been the biggest
fan of Skims for so long and to just do
a shoe like that with a direct like Carmony Krin
was so cool and it was just like, I'm like,
the holiday campaign, it's just cute.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
It's fun.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Like all the sets are just really cute. So we
have fun.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
I don't forget Benson Boone coming in for jingle Ball
and he's kind of become famous for his backflips on
stage and we asked him when did that start?

Speaker 2 (13:16):
My dad, I'm very close to my parents.

Speaker 15 (13:17):
My dad started doing flips when I was a little boy,
and I thought he was the coolest.

Speaker 6 (13:24):
So when I was like three.

Speaker 15 (13:26):
I would try them off my couch and it progressed
and progressed to the.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Front yard and then on stage.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
That's cool. Yeah, I wish I could do a backflip.
I can't do it.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
But I've never flipped my body even once. Never, never,
And I regret never having flipped my body because now
I never will.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
There's still time.

Speaker 8 (13:46):
You have people like doing, you know, bench pressing and
deadlifting like five hundred pounds in their seven I.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Won't be doing that either.

Speaker 11 (13:53):
Why.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
I'm just saying, why bother?

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Why why don't you try?

Speaker 2 (13:56):
You know what I mean? I don't want to try.
I don't want to flip my body.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Let it go, okay.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Sabrina Carpenter's Christmas Special arrives tonight nine o'clock on Netflix.
She was actually in New York for the premiere last night.
She's also been named iHeart Media's Artist of the Year
twenty twenty four.

Speaker 7 (14:14):
Makes sense.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
We played her so, I mean she had the how
many hits?

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Oh god?

Speaker 3 (14:19):
It was her year.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
She has dominated Justin and I do the Kisstop thirty
countdown on weekends. She has dominated the countdown for like
months now.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
She holds the record for us. This is I.

Speaker 8 (14:30):
Can't God, he just threw the headphones. Okay, he just
threw the headphones. Okay, justin through the headphones. I just
threw them and he walked out of the studio.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
I have to say to follow up on what you're
saying about Sabrina, she would have been my number one
artist of the year.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
Yeah, absolutely mine too, on every list she was amazing.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Yeah. How about Charlie XCX.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
She's done our shows and apparently she's got nerve damage
from the torch.

Speaker 16 (14:57):
I find the stage she these days to be a
very angry place for me. I've done a lot of
like physical damage to my body from performing, and I'm
often in a lot of pain when i perform, genuinely,
like physically, I have a nerve damage in my neck
from things that I've done on the stage.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Thanks that she seems young to have nerve damage, right,
she's only like thirty one?

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Or doesn't It seem like a lot of artists are
getting sick or injured on their tours lately.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
It just seems that way to me. And don't forget
Carrie Underwore.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Youre going to be the headliner with this year's rocking
New Year's Eve with our buddy Ryan Seacrest, Teddy Swims,
Lenny Kravitz, country singer Thomas Rhett. Also in the lineup
rhtt Don't forget did a song with Teddy Swims this year.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
We have a class song.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
It's a very good song.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Oh yeah, speaking of good songs, it's New Music Friday.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Justin you get some new music in there.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
Brooh, I think I fixed that hold one check one
two one two, I think I fixed it. I think so.

Speaker 9 (16:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
It is new Music Friday. We feature all the new
songs right here on Kiss. I want to wait. First
up Kesha coming in for jingle Ball next weekend. She
has a brand new anthem that I'm sure you're gonna
hear at the t D Garden. It's called delusional. Oh

(16:28):
you know what she's gonna do. She's gonna play some
of her new stuff. She might play that, and then
of course all the throwbacks of course, Oh yeah, ridiculous,
lot of I can't wait, a lot of him. It's
a big voice. You know who else has a big voice? Hozier.
He's got a brand new song. It's called him to Virgil.
This is an anthem too. I guess.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Who's Virgil.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
Last thing on New Music Friday.

Speaker 8 (17:09):
Guys, to me, mind you, he would be in the
Bible if he was like two thousand years old.

Speaker 6 (17:14):
At last have described it perfectly last time, it's he's
got a holy voice.

Speaker 8 (17:17):
Yeah, I feel like he would be like in the
Last Supper, like singing for the Last Supper.

Speaker 6 (17:21):
He's got the long hair.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
The soloist of the church choir.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
Yeah, you know, all right. Last last week on this
New Music Friday, this collaboration came out of nowhere. I
feel like everyone's doing country these days. Quevo of the Migos,
Teddy Swims and Luke Bryan teaming up. It's called Georgia
Way's It's ok. It's funny the video He's dressed all country,

(17:57):
got the whole look going yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Yes, no, no, it's interesting. The crossovers this year has
been insane, they really have.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
I mean, Paust Malone literally changed his whole career. Yes,
now a country artist.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
But it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
An insane year for music too. It's so much good
music this year. I'm just saying, uh, Lisa, I know
what I'm getting you for Christmas? What Harry Styles has
a new fashion collection. We're talking handbags, nail polish, and sweaters.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
It's sweater weather.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
It's called Pleasing.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
It's been out for a little while, but he has
a collab with j W Anderson with very cool sweatshirts
and stuff like that. And I guess he recently hired
someone away from Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop oh to handle all
of the online stuff.

Speaker 7 (18:46):
But I like the word pleasing. I think that that's
a strong word.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Please me, Harry, could you be my friend if I
came in one day wearing a Harry Styles sweatshirt and
nail polish.

Speaker 7 (18:57):
I mean, yeah, I actually think I was going to
get you. I'm going to think about getting you one,
but I guess I won't know.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Jamie Fox has a Netflix special coming out. December tenth
is the release date. We've got a clip from the trailer.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Condition of actor Jamie Fox.

Speaker 6 (19:11):
The family members rushed to the hospital.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
We should be transfer the bo somebody in the Cold
War medium lazy.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Jamie Fox has now spend more within two weeks and
in Atlanta hospital.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Jamy Fox literally died.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
And I'm so glad to see y'all here. I'm so
glad to be here.

Speaker 9 (19:32):
What had happened was?

Speaker 1 (19:35):
Wasn't there a weird story justin that p did he
may have poisoned him?

Speaker 6 (19:40):
He brings that up in the special, but some people
say it was a joke. Others say that he might
have been serious. But yeah, he says that did he
drugged him and basically kind of alluded to that's did
he was right? When did he went to jail before
that he had something to do with kind of you know,
telling on them.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Imagine if that turned out to be true.

Speaker 8 (19:58):
Well, you know how he stayed silent for the last
what year? It's been right, he won't say what happened.
So is he actually going to say what happened? Or
he's just alluding to things in this thing?

Speaker 6 (20:07):
No one really knows.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
I think he's making money on this Netflix special so
he can say what happened.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
It's amazing though in twenty twenty four he was able
to keep it a secret.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Yeah, yeah, no, is that possible?

Speaker 6 (20:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Reports this morning suggest Bill Belichick is in talks to
possibly be the head coach for the UNC tar Heels.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
I don't see this happening.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
He's never coached a college team, but also un sees
them for their basketball, not for their football team.

Speaker 7 (20:36):
I don't know. This is a weird one.

Speaker 8 (20:37):
But if it was like Alabama or Auburn or like
a really big football school, I could kind of see.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Because they're very close to NFL money totally and all that.

Speaker 7 (20:45):
It just doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 8 (20:46):
He's just that he needs to coach that badly that
he's going to go. I mean, he might as well
go coach at Bridgewater State and let Jordan cheer.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
And didn't he make a big splash with the young
girlfriend this week?

Speaker 4 (20:57):
They were on the red carpet so last night in
New York at the Museum of Natural History.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Oh you know, doubt.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
It's their first red carpet together.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
It's official.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Necked out they.

Speaker 7 (21:09):
Look they yeahod good.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Detroit Lions one again last night they beat the Packers
thirty four to thirty one. Lions, by the way, twelve
and one on the season. Celt's going to host the
Bucks in the Garden to nine. Bruins will host the
Flyers in the Garden tomorrow afternoon.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
By the way, there've been six and two with the
new coach.

Speaker 6 (21:27):
Joe Saco.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
That's pretty good.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Six and two, that is pretty good and don't forget
Mega millions tonight worth just under six hundred million dollars.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Oh no, we're not doing it as a group final
tood alone, but we are brought to you.

Speaker 1 (21:40):

photo with the jolliest guy in town this weekend December

Speaker 2 (22:00):

Speaker 17 (22:06):
I know him from the Planet Fitness Kids One Away Studios.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
We're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning on Hit.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Okay, so jingle Ball, I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
It's next Sunday and uh We've got a pair of
tickets right now as part of our ongoing ticket tag.
The only problem is I don't have the ticket tag
name in front of me.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
So what do we do there?

Speaker 6 (22:37):
Not sure? Why don't you have the name in front
of you? Do you need me to pick one for you?
Real quick?

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Can you?

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Would you be so kind?

Speaker 6 (22:42):
I can do that.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
I have the name somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
That's why it's great having just Okay, Justin is like
two seconds from anything in life.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
He can just make it happen. He can get it done.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Okay, can you read that?

Speaker 2 (22:57):
I sure can.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Uh, Jaya de Lizo, Yeah, that's it. Okay, that's it,
Na Jaya Delizo. I said it twice because it's kind
of I hope I said it right. But you got
fifteen minutes to get back to us. And if you
do within fifteen minutes, while you get a pair of.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Tickets for the jingle Ball. Okay, Okay, it's a Friday show.
We get a lot going on. Sometimes. You know, there's
a little what do you want.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
To call it, Lisa, there's a little bit of a glet,
a little bit of a glit little bit.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
Yeah, it'll be brought up in the meeting next week.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
Oh god, I know. Oh yeah, that'll be a word
for word what they're gonna say.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
Oh yeah, we were listening to Yeah, and what was
going on there with Billy. We got Joey Carvello on
the phone, Budy.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Yeah, let's get him on. This is a cool story. Joey,
you there oh.

Speaker 9 (23:41):
Here, Billy, Yeah, Billy, I mean Billy, but here, jump
in the car and come up to Boston.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
As a matter of fact, Okay, we'll get your plug in.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Joey, Okay, don't worry about it. We're gonna get your
plug in. But the real story is that Joey and
I grew up to get their first grade. We're like
childhood childhood buddies, and we both grew up basically on
the railroad track. So Joey, which one of us was
closer to the tracks? I was within twenty feet.

Speaker 9 (24:07):
I was literally literally on it. There was a tribute
with the tracks. Our house was literally on the track,
up next to the tracks. I don't know if I
told you story. There was a barbershop called Mimi's.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Mimmy's Barbershop, Yeah Mammy.

Speaker 9 (24:21):
That was literally right on the railroad tracks. There were
three bobbers no waiting. You get their haircuts one, two
or three? You know what I mean. Number three was
that Korean haircut. But they just took off the side
of your hair. My mother is sinking the feet and
every time I came home with that haircut. Okay, John Loan,
but wait a second. When that train went by that
that train went by that barber shop and they were

(24:42):
cutting there. All the barbers were backed off at once
because you could lose an air and know what I'm saying, Yeah,
you did your haircut.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Because there was a rumbling in the in the in
the barbershop. Yeah, so what of the were you on
a pink bow tie?

Speaker 3 (24:54):
No?

Speaker 9 (24:55):
Sorry here there is.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
So one of the odds. Joey and I both ended
up radio. When Joey at one point, you ended up
in the record industry. Were you working for Sony Music?

Speaker 9 (25:05):
I was. I I started out with one is, I
went to with my My three biggest jobs in the record industry,
excuse me, were one Atlantic and I worked at Priority
in TVT.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Record Those are big, Yes, So give us an idea
of some of the artists that we would recognize that
you actually worked with.

Speaker 9 (25:25):
Prince Prince, you're.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Going to start there.

Speaker 9 (25:29):
Yeah, I started Star with Friends. I mean that was
really the first one in nineteen late seventy nine, just
before I came to Chess. As a matter of time,
just before I came to Chess. Actually, yeah, before I
met him, I was on clit losing cocaine. So I
kissed him on the lips when I met him, So
I definitely damaged that guy. He got real shy at
he's been outgoing down until we met me. No but Billy,

(25:51):
no times, no times? Oh wow, came Italian. I just
came right of Italian.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Okay, no time, that's okay.

Speaker 9 (25:57):
Then did jump back his eyes like saucers.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
It was life changing for Brits.

Speaker 9 (26:05):
Did you ever go to gamage that kid? Did you
ever missed him for life?

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Did you ever go to his recording studio?

Speaker 14 (26:12):
What?

Speaker 9 (26:12):
I never made sure recording scree. I honored him a
couple of times after that. He actually wanted to try
I'll do a test run for Purple Rain. He chose
Boston to do it because Boston had such a mixed market.
He loved the fans, and we did it at Avalon.
He called me up at that time they had just
left Kiss. I was working for an independent promoter and

(26:34):
his people got in touch with me and we did
a surprise concert. We announced it the last minute on
the air. You were there, and he practiced this Purple
Rain show in Boston for the first time.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
On a tiny stage and a tiny venue at the
time Avalon.

Speaker 9 (26:50):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, So we worked with jelly Bean. I
mean I worked and I worked with Peter Vandros. Who
changed for jelly Bean was I worked a little John
Snoop Cuba, very closer to work with Cube.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
But jelly Bean was.

Speaker 9 (27:03):
Jelly Bean was. He was fun and jelly Bean was
almost like an honorary bos Stone in I remember one
time I signed jelly Bean to Atlantic Records and we
were at a convention, and I have to be careful
how I say the simony. We're at a convention at
the Winter Music Conference, and this had to be nineteen
ninety two or three, probably nineteen ninety show ninety three,

(27:25):
and jelly Bean was hanging out and all the Hispanic kids,
they were idolized them, especially the DJs. It was jelly
Bean before David Gwetta. People don't understand. Before Gweta and Aoki,
jelly Bean was the very first celebrity DJ.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Jelly Bean the guy, Yeah.

Speaker 9 (27:43):
John j He's just a great guy. So we're at
the convention and we're walking around and it's you know,
it's hot, beautiful bikinis and everybody's got there a great
crushow the babysuits on and they're walking around and a
kid comes up to JB and says to jelly Bean,
I'm mister beneath PLS comic Jolly Bean. He said, can
I give you some advice how I can be as big?

(28:05):
What did you do to become as big as you are?
And you know, I'd like some advice and said He
looked at him in the face and he said, get
laid a lot.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Okay, walked away from him, words slip by a good one, Joe.
We got to talk about the book.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Okay, you were probably the number one disco DJ of
the disco era, and now you've got a book. Tell
people very quickly before we run out of time, what's
the book about?

Speaker 9 (28:33):
The boy? The Boston Hustle is the true story of
disco from nineteen seventy two to nineteen seventy five in
the Boston market. It just shows that people think of
disco that they co ad Sutaro fifty four. It wasn't
like that it would dive bars that would just put
sound system and mirrored balls, and it was just regular
people that went to the disco, and we went. When
we got to the disco, they decayed livery came stars

(28:55):
and it was a close knit family and I tell
the story about how the companies could not handle the
independent success of black artists at the disco because they
had no control over them, and they closed us down
with disco demolition in July of nineteen seventy nine. It

(29:15):
was a bit spiracy between the record companies and the
rock jock named Steve Dowell. I wrote the real story.
Everyone likes disco stories. It's always about fifty four.

Speaker 6 (29:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (29:25):
Where the velvet rope kept you? Where the velvet rope
kept you? Well, Billy yea, And back in the day,
the velvet rope was a welcoming sign. That's what it was.
And that's you know, Bill was.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Part of it, the velvet rope.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
They wanted you to think it was too crowded to
get in. You walked in, and when you finally got in,
it was empty, right.

Speaker 9 (29:43):
I know that night exactly because we had met all
of our regulars, all gone in. And then if you
came to the club and you were in a regular
people would know that this is your first time here. Yeah,
welcome to Cachet, have a wonderful time. And that's how
it was. Once you got in there, you are a
family and there were no poses. We were all just regularly.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
How you want to do is dance?

Speaker 9 (30:04):
Can I want to do is dance? And listen to
that music?

Speaker 3 (30:07):
We we know?

Speaker 9 (30:08):
The other year it was where else are we going
to get that music? It didn't hit the radio until
like seventy six, and really didn't hit the radio in
Boston until Tu Went Away came out in seventy nine.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Okay, so here's the deal, Joey, You've got a book
signing tomorrow Porter Square Bookstore at the Seaport.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
They've got several locations.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
You'll be at the Seaport location three to four o'clock
tomorrow afternoon.

Speaker 9 (30:30):

(30:51):

Speaker 2 (30:52):

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Want to wait the Billy and Lisa Morning Show bump
after you got We'll see.

Speaker 9 (30:57):

I'm looking at jo pitch Billy, When did you take
this when you were like twenty two? With it like
the air brushing jail. How handsome you're looking.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
I had the fake hair going on.

Speaker 9 (31:09):
I gotta tell you that's a great picture. And I
especially love that the naked cooking recipe. You know, it's
called burnie bacon stop crato. Ouch. It was great. That
was my favorite recipe in the book.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Joey will see you three to four tomorrow afternoon in
the seaport the Porter Square bookstore.

Speaker 9 (31:25):

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Every morning Kis went to wait.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
All right, you got leftovers in there? Brother?

Speaker 9 (31:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (31:37):
You know, we got to talk about our talkbacks all
show long. You know, we encourage everyone to listen, participate
in what we're talking about, or anything for that matter,
and sometimes some get left behind. And that's where these
come in the talk back leftovers, the ones we could
not get too earlier.

Speaker 18 (31:50):
I just want to say thank you so much for
being such a staple in the morning. I look for
to it every single morning with my coffee and if
I miss it, it's fine because it was the punk
and I can accord to that in the afternoon. So
thank you so much. It's just a constant every day
that I look forward to.

Speaker 6 (32:07):
Very nice. Well, we like to say we're in the
business of companionship of friendship with our listeners. Yeah, that
were a place that you can come to and laugh
and kind of get away from all the negative stuff
in your life. Everybody has problems. This is a place
you can tune into the billion leads to show every
single day and just get away.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
From all that anytime of the day.

Speaker 6 (32:26):

you miss it in the morning, you listen to the
podcast on the iHeart app and make sure you subscribe too,
so that way the notification comes right to your phone
every day, and then you know, how's that.

Speaker 17 (32:38):
I was just listening to your segment on holiday music
and I felt compelled to call in to talk about
the Mariah concert last night and didn't know if anybody
else was there to experience it. It was so interesting.
I don't even have words. I'm really trying to process it.

(32:59):
She is white and icon but oh my goodness, it
was bizarre.

Speaker 8 (33:05):
So this is she's using very interesting words, interesting, bizarre.

Speaker 6 (33:09):
I did not hear anything.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
So I saw it on our Instagram because I think
that and they went to it. But Billy and I
saw her a few years ago at.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
The Way, same show.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
Yeah, same show. We loved it.

Speaker 6 (33:20):
Yeah, but he was three hours away, was.

Speaker 5 (33:22):
Three hours late.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
But once she got on stage, it was amazing because
about her kids out they sang with her.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
It was definitely like a holiday show.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
So I'm not stage was decorated beautifully for Christmas.

Speaker 5 (33:33):

lot of people chimed in on this. We appreciate that.
Especially on the.

Speaker 9 (35:42):
