Speaker 1 (00:00):
We've got a good topic and you found this one. Justice.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
A new survey just came out of the two most
annoying coworker habits or pet peeves. Okay, see, here's the thing,
right with the pandemic, A lot of employees switch jobs,
moved around, working from home, and now they're back at
the office, so you know they're navigating office stuff office
politics for the first time. Oh yeah, so these are

(00:24):
the two most annoying habits. Can you guess what they are?
How about that um um poorly dressed? No, that's not
one of them, but interesting bill A separate a separate
part of this survey says that sixty eight percent say
business attire has become more casual.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, definitely, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
But twenty percent don't have a clear understanding of what
business casual is. So people are dressing down more, I
guess is what that says? Yeah, okay, So the first
one is a loud disruptive co workers loud talking, loud talking,
and they say that could happen. That could stem from
people working from home and talking loudly and then coming

(01:05):
back into the office and doing it here.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Well, the other thing I think is a lot more
offices have become more communal where they're open.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Spaces, they're sharing office space.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah yeah, so you're like next to each other, you
see each other, and you're all talking to different clients, and.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
So you gotta be honest here. I'll speak for myself.
I'm guilty of this, you know, because the open office
that's outside of our studios. Yeah, you know, all the salespeople,
all the ones that are here are all sitting kind
of together, and I'll yell across all the time. If
Billy's walking on the other side, I'll be like, yeo, Billy.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Because we're used to it being empty, right right, I'll
leave the studio and like yell down the hall to
Lisa or you or the winning not thinking there's a
meeting going on. Ye two feet away.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
So we're annoying.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, oh absolutely. They don't like that.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Well, it's Billy myself and when not Lisa, Lisa would
never do that, try yell. She doesn't yell.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Well, she's the princess protocol.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, so we have the loud, disruptive co workers. That's
one and two and this is a big one office gossip.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I think we're all guilty of that.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
We're all guilty of it. And here's the thing. You
love to hear the gossip. You just don't want to
be a part of the gossip.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Yeah right, I'm obsessed with gossip.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, you are gossip girls.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Man, Billy wants all the gossips totally.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I could do it all day.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
He loves the chit chat totally.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
He's a gossip girl.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah, he is a little gossip girl.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Okay, so we have some tips here on these annoying habits. Okay,
So for the gossiping, so you could plead the fifth.
If a coworker tries to goad you into gossiping, keep
your professional distance. For example, if they ask you to
chime in on a negative criticism of another colleague, say Bob,
you can say I have had those experiences with Bob,

(02:56):
so I really can't add to the conversation. But what
if I have right?

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Right?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Is anyone doing this?

Speaker 4 (03:01):
No, I'm do you want to gossip about Bob? Let's
go I hate Bob.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I would never walk away from gossip.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
No, no, I will always add to it. Yeah, yes,
But the the thing with gossip is, you know you
have to remember those who gossip to you will gossip
about you.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
We're all talking about each other. Oh my god, Like,
come on, let's grow up. We all know that so
and so is talking about so and so. Who's doing what?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Who's doing?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Who?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Come on?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
You know that. Lisa right now is turning to saying,
oh really, what are you saying about that?

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Oh no, no, I mean we are. We're a little
pod in here, but I'm just saying outside of here,
it's free game.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
I have to say.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I have another office sort of should be on the list.
The food and the refrigerator. Right, that's a big one.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Yep, either leaving it or taking out.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
It, taking someone else's having it smell yep.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Every once in a while I'll just go to open
the refrigerator out of curiosity. Right, let's see, Okay, who
are these people?

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Right?

Speaker 1 (04:09):
And I immediately want a gossip about.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Full circuit was eating that.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
This might be a personal thing, but I've had some
things getting taken from our office area a lot. Not
saying it's malicious, but maybe people think we don't need
it because we're not here. You know, in the middle
of the day, it doesn't get put back, and we
lose chargers and food and water, and you know in
headsets and all this. So I really don't like when

(04:39):
someone just takes stuff without asking.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Okay, do you want you guys want the real story.
The audience want the real story there. So that's a
real issue that when in our office, you know, things
are being taken from our office. So Winnie sent a
scathing email up the chain to every single boss all
the way to the high the top of iHeart Boston like,

(05:02):
raging about this. So now she has all of them
working on a solution to get our stuff locked up.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Wasn't she demanding demanding the shut that down?

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Well, someone goes, well, you know it might not be malicious.
I go, I don't care if it's malicious or they
do by accident. If they're a tempted to come into
my office and take my stuff and not put it back,
that's a problem.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Okay, here's here. I'm gonna play devil's advocate here because
I do agree with you, Winnie. But here's the thing.
How many times ready for this, be honest, Billy, have
you come in the morning forgot to charge your phone
and said I need a phone charger, my phone's gonna die.
And then we go around the office on and check
these you guys always do, and then we take the charger.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
I never take the charger. I charge my phone on
their desk.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I may have taken the charger.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
This is my thing. We put it back, put it back.
I've never taken something and not put it back. I
by borrow a stapler for a second, I put it back.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
You want to hear an incredible irony this morning, right,
I went to get my headphones. Guess who had them winning?

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Okay, you stole his head yesterday. I need headphones quickly.
In yours, we're closer, and I put them in my drawer,
not yours. They were there, Okay, they were in our office.
We share an office space.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Buco.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
So he no, don't don't do this. Don't plump me
in with those people.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
And they were tied in knots with the no, you're
just lying, Donovan. You wanted to say something, you're looking
like you.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
I don't think I've ever taken anything off of anyone's down.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Let's say, let's see what some people have to say
on this.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
I just have to say I was listening to you
guys talk about annoying coworkers and things about the office,
and I have to say my workplace is pretty good
about keeping the fridge clean and they throw out everything
on a weekly basis. But I couldn't agree more with

(07:02):
the gossip. I am a gossip girl right there with you.
