Speaker 3 (00:06):
Kids.
Speaker 4 (00:08):
Yes, Hello, Hello, want too, want too?
Speaker 5 (00:16):
Yellow?
Speaker 6 (00:18):
I guess I need water.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Ladies and gentlemen, how about that. The Belly and Lisa
Morning Show is.
Speaker 7 (00:31):
Live.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
And something's just never changed, you know what I mean.
You can travel the world.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
You can go to Mexico, you can go to American
Dreamland Mall, or you can go to Fort Lauderdale or
in this case, it was Dallas and uh, and nothing
changes when you get home. It is what it is,
and we are who we are. Okay, take it or
leave it.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Welcome. Everybody's a brand new week. The show back live.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
So much happened a week well we were away, I
mean so much happened. First of all, Charlemagne the Godlyst.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
How'd that go?
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Insane?
Speaker 8 (01:11):
I love him so much for doing this for us.
But he's part of the Breakfast Club. He's out of
New York. It's a syndicated show and iHeart show. He's
like Radio Royalty. But he's also an author, and you know,
he has a podcast and he's just he's incredible. And
we had such a great discussion last Wednesday night.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
So yeah, thanks going for.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
That packed house, sold.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Out, packed house.
Speaker 8 (01:33):
We were at Memoir at Encore, and yeah, it was
very cool.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
When I walked into the office this morning, you already
had a stack of books sitting to your right.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
So what's next with the book club?
Speaker 8 (01:44):
Well, we have Jeff Benedict next week on April second
at the Reviewer Hotel. All right, he wrote The Dynasty,
which was turned into that Apple doc.
Speaker 6 (01:55):
That's going to be a good one. I watched the
Charlemagne one from New Jersey least, I watched the whole thing.
It's awesome, very well spoken. You did a great job.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Talking to you.
Speaker 8 (02:05):
I asked him the Wendy Williams question and he said
what he said that?
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I said, what, you know, what's your view on what's
going to happen with her?
Speaker 8 (02:13):
And he said, well, ironically, he goes, I just had
dinner with her two nights ago on Monday night, and
I remember seeing in the post her out to dinner
in New York and he was with her, and he
said that she doesn't have any money, so he had
to pay for dinner for her.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
My god, and he is hopeful and he said that.
Speaker 8 (02:35):
No, but no, but he but he see he's such
an amazing guy. He said that, like she took care of.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Him on the way up.
Speaker 8 (02:44):
Yeah, bringing him into her world and her circle. And
now it's interesting how he is helping her. Good for him,
it's kind of the circle of life.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Hopefully he can help get her off the conservativeship. Yeah,
you know what a weird story, but a great story.
I mean, think about it. Wendy started here, and he
started with Wendy, and the two of you found each other,
you and.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Charlotte years later.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
So he flew in and then flew out.
Speaker 8 (03:11):
Yeah, he came from the Melt Robins podcast, did that,
then came over to memoir and then laughed yet and
the justin.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
How was the American Dream Mall? How was New Jersey?
Speaker 6 (03:19):
It was wonderful. I was safe. There was nothing bad happened,
you know, the listeners were right where we were staying
was all hotels. It was all you know, tourists and
people that are coming in to see New York or
to see the mall. Yeah, but the mall is massive,
I mean it's huge. They have a theme park, water park,
all the stores, all the kids stuff. Sure, so it
was good. We went into New York one day. How
(03:41):
anyone lives in Manhattan? I love it. It's just so
many people. Yeah, you know, so we went to Central Park,
the zoo, we did all the tourist stuff.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Now you were at this mall right before Jonas Khan
kicked off. Did you see any of that being built?
Speaker 6 (03:58):
I saw some things. Yeah, there were some things. I
could tell things were going on. But they had billboards
and banners all over the place throughout the whole thing.
Speaker 9 (04:06):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (04:06):
So yeah, it was a great trip.
Speaker 8 (04:08):
You know.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
By day two I wanted to come home because the
kids were up my ass.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Wow not to had a great sound vacationy.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
You posted a picture of the pool. Did you go
in the pool or did just the kids go in
the pool?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (04:18):
I went in the pool. Oh yeah, that was my
biggest wave pool I've ever been. The water park is phenomenal.
If the people were wondering, like, you know, how was it?
The water park was like crazy? It was huge.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Well, speaking of the Jones brothers, just announced they're coming
to Fenway Park August twenty third. Tickets I believe go
on sale Friday. Anny of you already secure tickets.
Speaker 10 (04:37):
Yeah, it's Tinny. My little sister's birthdays that day. So
she's text me, She's like, we're going Jones Bush for
my birthday. I go, yep, so yeah, we'll be going
of course wow weeknight or I believe with the Friday,
if I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
How was Dallas in? The burger?
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Was worth the trip?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
It was so?
Speaker 10 (04:52):
By the way, Bill, thank you paid for my burger.
It was delicious, it was great. I got my nails done.
They look really good. It was just a nice time.
I enjoyed my.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
Nice Did the person you go with had a good
time too?
Speaker 11 (05:02):
Or no?
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, oh good it did.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Excuse me for a moment, Yeah, I think you just
said I paid for your burger.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
How did that happen? You gave me fifty dollars?
Speaker 10 (05:12):
Remember when you were like, oh, here's fifty dollars to
go in and out. I hope I go in and
out this location too, Remember that?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Well?
Speaker 6 (05:18):
All right, little line I threw out there. How was
your vacation?
Speaker 2 (05:24):
How was Mexico?
Speaker 3 (05:25):
The only thing I want to talk about is the
fact that I did a cold plunge twice a day.
Speaker 6 (05:30):
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah, I'm all in now on a cold plunch all right,
I went right up to my chin.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
I'm really proud of you. Do you know how cold
the water was?
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Okay, I knew you were going to go there. Are
you going to start making fun of me?
Speaker 6 (05:41):
It's not the real cold below fifty degrees?
Speaker 1 (05:44):
I don't know. What do you think? I asked the
guy with a temperature.
Speaker 8 (05:47):
It probably wasn't In these fancy resorts, it's usually like
fifty two to fifty seven.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah, I mean it's not like when you break the
ice with an axe.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah, that's a different level.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
Yeah, I have to do that. But I am proud
of you for doing it, and you should. You should.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
It feels good.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yeah, you know you go in and out from the
hot tub and then you get in the sauna and.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
Do it every night. Yeah, you should get New England spots.
They so cold plunge.
Speaker 10 (06:08):
You did go in and out this this vacation. Then, Okay,
welcome back.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
In and out? What winny? What? I'm just quoting it?
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Okay, you can tell we're back. It's just a happy family,
isn't it. It's just a happy family. Lots going on
on sports March madness, A couple of big upsets. Did
I hear when I get in this morning, there's not
a single perfect bracket. Now you've heard that, right, that's
what they're saying. Wow, the spoilers, they call them the spoilers.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Right.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Celtics won again, so they've won five games in a row.
The Bruins have lost six in a row. So we
have a lot of sports to talk about. Obviously, we
dig into the Jonas Brothers and the tour which comes
to Fenway Park in August. It's all coming up in
entertainment and that is coming up next from.
Speaker 11 (07:01):
The Planet Fitness, Kiss Rue Away Studios.
Speaker 8 (07:04):
But we're back with the Villy and Lisa in the
Morning on Kiss.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yeah, we're back for vacation. We are back live.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
We've been gone for a week or so, which means
justin we missed the talkback mafia.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Let's get together.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
Yeah, the talkbacks are the best way to connect with
the Billy and Lisa Show. You can leave a talkback,
which is essentially a message that you record into your phone.
You do it on the iHeartRadio app, which is free
to download. Tap the red microphone there right on the
screen and you can again record it right into your phone.
And by the way, we have something really cool going
on right now. That has to do with the iHeart app.
You know, we have the preset feature. It's one of
(07:37):
the new many new features. And by the way, if
you make kiss one away your number one preset on
your car radio but also on the app, take a
picture of it and upload it to kiss oneaway dot
com slash preset. One lucky person will win the trip
of a lifetime. You can pick what trip you want.
You can either see Gracie Abrams in La or New
Kids in Vegas.
Speaker 12 (07:58):
WHOA.
Speaker 6 (07:58):
So it's real easy. Just a screenshot that kissed one
to wait, is your number one preset on the iHeart
app and upload its kiss onewait dot com slash pre
that's going on right now, right now, get going.
Speaker 7 (08:08):
Good morning, it's the mayor of the Cell. Then I
want to wish you all welcome back. We're back live
and I don't know what I want to talk about.
Oh yeah, I was listening to another radio station. Boy
well a vanilla soccer, moms and recipes. I'm glad you're back.
Have a great day.
Speaker 6 (08:27):
Thank you, mister mayor.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
I love how the mayor says we're back live.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
Yeah, thank you, Good.
Speaker 13 (08:35):
Morning, team, welcome back, and I hope you had a
great vacation. We certainly didn't miss you. Producer Riley, what
a fantastic job you've been doing on the radio. We
love hearing your voice and glad everybody is back together again.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Happy Monday.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
Yeah, Producer Riley filled in for Lisa for the track.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
That's right.
Speaker 6 (08:55):
So if you heard her voice, that was producer Riley.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
There you go.
Speaker 6 (08:59):
Yeah, really good?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
What happens? What? Why are you just having a brain fart?
I think you had a brain fart.
Speaker 6 (09:06):
No, I thought you were going to say something.
Speaker 14 (09:09):
No.
Speaker 6 (09:09):
Thank you to producer Rally who filled in and had
to hold down hold the ship down while we were
on vacation. It's a complete team here, that's it.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
But everybody steps up.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
You know what I'm saying. Yep, you have another one.
A were going to entertainment. I think we should go
to entertainment now.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
The entertainment update with the Billy Gods out.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
The Jonas Brothers coming off of Jonas Coom heading out
on tour. They're going to come to Fenway Park August
twenty third. On Good Morning America the other day said
this tour is going to start in New Joysy.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
We're doing Jonas Khan at the American Dream in Jersey,
which is right across the street from a venue we
always dreamed, the plane. So our tour, which is going
to be called Jonas twenty Living the Dream. The tour
will kick off on August tenth at MetLife Stadium.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
August twenty third Fenway Park. So you didn't get to
see any of Jonas Khan now.
Speaker 6 (09:59):
Left a couple of days before there, but they were
setting things up and I believe where they performed was
in the ice skating rink.
Speaker 10 (10:06):
Yeah, they performed like seven different parts they had, they
had all these different stages. They performed like eight times.
Speaker 6 (10:11):
Yeah, the whole day. Yeah. The mall is is ridiculously big.
They have an ice skating rink.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
So it dwarfs the Mall of America.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
It's the Nope, it's second. American Dream is second. The
Mall of America is still number one, but this is
the second biggest.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Oh good good, by the way, Marshmallow, the All American
rejects and boys like Girls will join them on the
tour in select cities and tickets, by the way for
the Jonas Brothers Tour go on sale Friday morning at
ten o'clock.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Meantime.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
The Selina Gomez Benny Blanco album came out this past Friday.
They were on The Today Show this past Friday talking
wedding plans.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
We want ours to be pretty casual.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
I think pickles.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
What we're gonna have one?
Speaker 15 (10:53):
You said, Oh no, you said you were like, I
want to have little sandwiches with pickles for my friends.
That's so Really, she's really the cheapest data.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Everything is real easy, sweet sandwiches with pickles. I love pickles.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Who doesn't.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Maybe we'll get an invite. You never know. Anytime.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Jack Harlow released a new song with Doja Cat this
past Friday.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
He admits the album has been taking a watson. It's
in process.
Speaker 16 (11:23):
You know, I'm trying to I'm trying to I'm trying
to transcend, you know.
Speaker 6 (11:26):
I want to do something.
Speaker 16 (11:27):
I've never done, and I'm just slowly starting to accept
that maybe it's gonna take me longer than any of
my past projects. If I want it to be like
nothing I've ever done, maybe it'll take longer than things
I have done.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
And here's a clip of the song with Doja.
Speaker 11 (11:39):
Slow it Down like Mcarney.
Speaker 16 (11:41):
I know it sounds like Zack and Cody, just like sweet.
Speaker 10 (11:43):
I mean two hands on my throat, stabbing into myself, leg.
Speaker 9 (11:49):
Up on that chair, hand on.
Speaker 10 (11:52):
I actually listened to that on the way in today.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I really liked it.
Speaker 6 (11:55):
I'm gonna throw a baby, slow it down like Macaroney.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
I didn't know that was the thing. Keep that in mind,
you want to slow it down off? Okay, all right?
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Uh Billy Ray Cyrus, Oh boy out with another new song.
That's pretty painful to listen to it.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
And if you love, you know the future, buck.
Speaker 6 (12:23):
Up so you love just stand.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
So you want to slow it down like Macaroni, but
buckle up and hit the gas.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
He's having a he's having a little rough break.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yeah, he's in a weird like a midlife crisis.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
Probably the last time he did Old Town Road, I'm.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Gon take my town Road.
Speaker 6 (12:51):
I'm gone.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
I can't no, Mom, you can put your hands together.
Speaker 6 (12:57):
Wow, if you encourage about they got mad. People weren't clapping.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
That's a good thing. They were there to pick up
the song.
Speaker 8 (13:04):
Yeah, he needs to take better care of his like
his voice something like that.
Speaker 6 (13:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, sure, he's in a weird place. Right now.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Disney snow White won the box office over the weekend,
taking in more than forty three million. Morgan Wallin's new
album reportedly has thirty seven songs on it and it
comes out May sixteenth. Don't most albums have like nine
or ten songs.
Speaker 10 (13:30):
Especially now, I feel like they're doing you know, two
minute songs and it's like, you know, a thirty minute album.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
So it is.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
That's a lot of songs'd be crazy if he did
the thirty seven song album and then and then a
deluxe too.
Speaker 10 (13:42):
Yeah, they had like three more. But sin Is album
is pretty long, her new one.
Speaker 6 (13:47):
It is. That's a good album.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
The Bachelor finale is to night on the ABC, So okay,
you got to catch us up. We missed last week's
so we did a hometown.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Well no, it was like Annasy sweets.
Speaker 8 (14:00):
So yeah, so it's Latia and Juliana, who's from Newton
our girl.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Tonight's the night start today.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Now, did he have sex with all three women? Because
I think Latia once said that she wouldn't even consider being.
Speaker 8 (14:12):
Well us she found out he right, Well, she's a Mormon,
so we'll find out tonight what happened. I think it's
three hours and my son Riley will be watching, and
he will be calling in from vacation to break it down.
Speaker 10 (14:26):
Mormons have workarounds.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
They did. Yeah, I mean I feel like most people do.
Speaker 6 (14:31):
Well, there's the sheet, all these like mother like son,
both working on their vacations.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Imagine that. And he's still on vacation. So now Ridley
went from Mexico to now South Carolina.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Right, they have two weeks off.
Speaker 8 (14:45):
So yeah, he'll be calling in from VAK.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
From a golf course in South Carolina. But in the meantime,
you got to give credit to Riley. These two women
the final too, Juliana and Litia. He picked both of
them to be in the final.
Speaker 8 (14:58):
The day he called in the show started. He was
on the two of them, which I'm pretty amazed by.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Meantime, another episode of The White Lotus last night. We're
not allowed to talk about it because there's a group.
I don't think any of us watches now. Sunday night.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
We watched Mondays last last week's episode was phenomenal. Did
you watch it yet?
Speaker 4 (15:19):
No?
Speaker 8 (15:19):
I know, Yeah, this whole week I was crazy. I mean,
that's flying in an at Aposta.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Oh yeah, Well, there's one scene from last week in
particular where who's the guy that Sam Rockwell. Sam Rockwell
steps in as a new character in the show, and
he's sitting in a.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
Room talking to Walton Goggin.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Walter Goggins, a hit man guy, A very interesting.
Speaker 10 (15:43):
That scene was so unnecessary and second of all, I've
never had my jaw.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Drums so hard.
Speaker 6 (15:51):
Billy and I rewatched it this morning anymore.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Just look for that scene with two men sitting at
a table talking.
Speaker 6 (15:59):
Can I just know real quick while you're talking about
TV shows? When he came in this morning, what is
your favorite TV show? Rabs?
Speaker 10 (16:06):
Not my favorite TV No, I said, Finally, I'm on
episode nine of Severn for the first season. Finally something
happened when I was like, oh my god.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
She loves it.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Oh no, no, no.
Speaker 10 (16:18):
I didn't say I loved it. I said I was
finally they gave me something.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
The third season's coming out, and it's.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
Coming out the finale. The finale came out Friday. It
is a masterpiece. The season two finales. I get it, Bill,
all right.
Speaker 10 (16:30):
It's such a weird show. I have nothing for it.
Final in it now, I'm in it.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
I did watch the five part series on Karen Reid.
I did We're going to talk about that on the show.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
There's someone any new, anything new?
Speaker 3 (16:43):
No, there was no new information. But I think it
was done well. I'm not sure it was good for
her to do.
Speaker 6 (16:49):
That's the big question.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Yeah, talk about that.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Actress Jennifer cool It is talking about the White Lotus
says the White Lotus improved her sex life. She says
she's getting better quality guys. Know, and she was after
American Park.
Speaker 6 (17:02):
That's surprising. Act she was Steffler's mom.
Speaker 10 (17:04):
Yeah, but it's kind of a different some creepy guy
that has like some porno fantasy with that. You know.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
George Foreman died over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
I know we had a son.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
In Yeah, yeah, one of the Georgia. He has a
gym Everybody Fights, which is a really good boxing gym.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
He's a great guy, one of.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
The greatest boxers of all time, one of the greatest
businessmen of all time. Let's not forget the Foreman girl.
Speaker 17 (17:34):
I've really gotten popular on Madison Avenue with Done Doe, Rito's,
McDonald's and many kid every commercial there was we made.
Speaker 6 (17:41):
A lot of money.
Speaker 17 (17:42):
People would pay you a lot of money to do
a commercial, but then after a period of time they
move on to someone else. And finally a friend of
mine said, George, you're making all these other companies wealthy.
Why don't you get your own product. And we looked
around and found the grill. No one wanted to be
bothered with it at all. They had named for it,
joked for it. But I took it and they said
try that. And I didn't want to use it, but
(18:03):
my wife insisted. She said, it works, George, And the
grease really rolled out, and the steel tender. I hated it.
I said, boy, let's do it. But I never expected
it to be so successful. And then all of a sudden,
the checks just started rolling in. This thing sold over
one hundred million.
Speaker 14 (18:19):
You end up being bought out something like one hundred
and forty million dollars.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
At one point, checks were coming in for upwards of
like four million dollars a monthly.
Speaker 17 (18:29):
Five million.
Speaker 6 (18:30):
Wow, I had one to do one yet we had
one in our house.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Oh okay, I've never used one.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Does it really work? It does really work, that's the thing.
Speaker 7 (18:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Really easy to use too. It was very good.
Speaker 18 (18:41):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
By the way, Celtz beat the Trailblazers one twenty nine,
one sixteen. They won five games in a row. Bruins
lost seven to six game losing Street going for the
Bruins right now, obviously, March Madness is in full swing.
Couple of surprises. Arkansas beat Saint John, ukonn lost to Florida,
So I guess there was a single perfect bracket.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Brackets are busted.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
That's why they call it March matt Uh huh.
Speaker 18 (19:03):
Hey, it's your girl Sarah from Maine. And when you're

fat reducing grilla machine from.
Speaker 11 (19:50):
The Planet's Fitness Kiss one O Wait Studios.
Speaker 8 (19:53):
So we're back with the Villy and Lisa in the
morning on Kiss On.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Hey guys to welcome back to Billy and the More
Show is back live. We were on vacation last week.
So much happened over the vacation, and you know what
else when we come back. I always missed the talkbackers.
Speaker 6 (20:09):
Justin, you know what they missed us A good morning.
Speaker 19 (20:11):
Morning crew. I wanted to say welcome back. I wanted
to say I've been suffering from TBW talk back with
dul and this morning I saw that red microphone. I
arched my back, I pressed the button, I recorded my
message and now I'm having a smoke.
Speaker 6 (20:31):
I don't smoke. That's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yeah, I just have a smoke in a brandy. Yeah everything.
Good morning, Billy, Lisa, Justin and Winnie.
Speaker 14 (20:42):
I spent last week in London and Paris for my
son's college spring break. We had a great time and
I know I could have listened to you on the
iHeartRadio app, but we were so busy I didn't and
I just wanted to tell you how much I missed you,
and I'm looking forward to the week ahead.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
We missed you, Yeah, we missed you. I missed I
missed you, guys. I did. Midway through the vacation, I
was like, I can't wait to get back.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Really, yeah, I got to talk about the vacation for
a minute, because I always seem to come back in
the middle of the vacation. I feel like, you know,
four nights, five days, there's plenty. Never again, because it
never fails human nature. When you come back, you automatically
jump right into life.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
It's true.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
All of a sudden, you're at the supermarket, You're running
errands like it's doing things around.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
I'm like, vacation, it's not a vacation. No, not me.
Speaker 6 (21:35):
I different.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Well, he's but he's kids that he has to worry about.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
His kid's all grown up. It's just him and his
dog and his wife. You complained about this the last vacation.
I remember, Yeah, this thing is I always do it.
You called me, you know, bitching and moaning about all
the things you had to do.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, like, why am I home? I'm in the car
now heading here.
Speaker 8 (21:55):
I gotta do this, and that's why when I came
back to do the Charlemagne thing, I book to take
it right back to because I was not going to
be doing errands.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Yeah the week, but anyway, it was great. Vacation was great.
I loved mine.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
I know, Lesta, you loved yours, although you did break
it up for Charlemagne, and we want to thank you
for that because that's work dedication right there.
Speaker 6 (22:16):
It was awesome, real there really was, because you could
have easily said I'm on vacation.
Speaker 8 (22:21):
Well yeah, but the fact that like it happened, and
you know, we put the ask out and he said yes,
like I had to do it.
Speaker 6 (22:28):
Yeah, I told you. I watched. I watched it from
the from our hotel room in New Jersey, so it
was really nice.
Speaker 20 (22:34):
Hey, Billy and Lisa, I just really want to get
your thoughts. What do you think is an appropriate time
for an artist to come out versus what's advertised when
the show starts this week? And I went to Saint
John's concert at Roadrunner in Boston and Saint John didn't
come out until three.
Speaker 12 (22:50):
Hours and nine minutes later, So the show was supposed
to start eight, and then he came out at eleven
oh nine. It was just like so long, and then
he started performing for thirty minutes.
Speaker 10 (23:03):
First of all, I know, I want to Saint John's
er show. That's what's blowing my mind.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
I mean, given like Madonna, Mariah Carrey energy and you're
Saint John, something's not right.
Speaker 12 (23:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
But even Lisa and I were at a Mariah show
where she sewed up two and a half hours late
for her Christmas show.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Yeah, we were almost out the door.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
That's one I had it with her. So I feel
for people when they're waiting three hours. I know one
thing I'd never go again to that artist.
Speaker 6 (23:27):
Yeah, well I think she probably went with her her
son or your son or daughter. And you know, now
you're sitting there for that long. It's awful.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
And I will say this road Runner is a very
cool concert facility. It's in Boston Landing, which is it's
kind of like the New Seaport. There's so much going
on in Boston Landing, so you might want to check
that out.
Speaker 6 (23:45):
So you think they had the the warm up DJ,
theyre the whole time, just keeps trying to you know,
after a while, the crowd gets they get restless.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
That's the only thing that made the Mariah thing. Okay,
the DJ was that good?
Speaker 6 (23:56):
Oh really?
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (23:57):
Oh yeah, so you got you got lucky there?
Speaker 11 (23:59):
Yeah, any winning crew.
Speaker 14 (24:01):
I wanted to say that I was able to volunteer
at a Mellis the Ball event on Saturday because I
had heard about it on your radio show and it
was promoted back in February.
Speaker 11 (24:10):
Thank you for that.
Speaker 13 (24:11):
It was incredible.
Speaker 11 (24:13):
The funny thing was apparently the Cannabis convention was happening
as well in the same building.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Oh yeah, it really of you know what, what a combination.
Speaker 6 (24:28):
Of the cannabis.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Yeah, I love that secondhand buzz.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
That's crazy. Oh man, all right, coming up next, it
would not be a vacation without some airline news. Wait
to hear what happened to our very own Bason. We
want to hear from YouTube. You's the airline news as well,
Hilly and Lisa.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Hey, guys, welcome back, and the show was back from
a vacation. A lot happened while we were away.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
We'll deal with a lot of those stories, but don't
forget the astronauts finally came home. That was stuck up
in space for nine or ten months. They finally came home.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
You see how much she aged, Oh, yeah, I have
a lot of met problems.
Speaker 6 (25:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
They said their hy sight might be affected, their heart
could be weak, and God anyway, Celtics were sold while
we're away.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
That was a six billion part of investment. Yeah, the
largest deal, right, I guess.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
In North America or something.
Speaker 6 (25:16):
Yeah. Well Wick bought it for how much three sixty
I think million? Yeah, sold it for six billion. That's
a come up.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
That's a number.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
And it never fails. Every time we're on vacation. I
know I'm going to get the phone call from Lisa
and she's gonna.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Say, you're not going to believe this.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Every time we go on vacation, there's some sort of
an incident on your floe.
Speaker 8 (25:38):
Well, I was on eight flights, okay, butt eight flights
in one week, so it's you know, law of averages.
But this happened when I was coming back to do
the Charlemagne book Club event this week. I was flying
from Houston to Boston and I was in seat eight.
So it's right next to the bathroom, like in the
middle of the plane, so you have like more leg room.
(25:59):
There's no seat in front of you, so I'm sitting there.
It's like ten o'clock at night. I'm dozing off and
all of a sudden I hear this boom like this thud.
I thought one of the overhead bins had opened and
a bag had hit me.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
It wasn't. It was a man about forty years old,
pretty tall.
Speaker 8 (26:16):
He had gone face down in the aisle and so
his head and his glasses.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Were on my feet. Basically, he went all the way.
Speaker 8 (26:24):
Down and was completely unresponsive yet Charlotte no, and I'm
and Charlotte Magne book is out, and I'm like, okay, okay.
So I kind of like hop up, get my feet
from underneath his head. The guy sitting across he goes,
go go do something. I'm like, okay, I'm gonna go
do something. So I go into the first class area
(26:45):
because the curtain was right there.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
And I'm mentioning.
Speaker 8 (26:48):
I'm like, you guys, we need we need help, we
need help, we need help. And they're just staring at me,
the flight attendants. All right, I'm like, what's going on?
So then one of the flight attendants from the back
of the plane comes running up. She starts working on him.
They get a nurse who was on the plane who
was great. They start taking his vital signs again, he's
not responsive, like crazy, like, is this a heart attack?
Speaker 6 (27:09):
Did they do that? Is anybody hear? A doctor?
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yes, that, and the nurse came up. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (27:13):
So she's working on him. They get ice packs for
his neck, his back. He starts to slowly turn his
head to where he was completely sort of like out
of it and said he was feeling extremely sick, extremely weak,
and that he was going to the bathroom to put
water on his face, and that's when he went fully down.
So he's still face down on his stomach and then
(27:36):
so they're working on him, and then the flight attendant
comes up to me after and he goes, you know
why we didn't come to help you was because the
cockpit door was open at the exact second that the
man went down, and I rushed to the first class
cabin to get them, and they, by law cannot come
(27:56):
to help because they think it could have been a setup.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
That.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
We're rushing the cockpit. I'm like, are you kidding?
Speaker 6 (28:06):
This is the craziest airline story I've ever heard.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
It was nuts.
Speaker 10 (28:11):
You feel better than that that they didn't rush, because
that if you were trying to rush the cockpit and
they at worked.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
It makes you feel better than they didn't.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
I mean, the pilots have to go pee too, so
you know, so when they do, you notice they get
the cart and they put it in front of the
aisle so you can't get toward.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
The bathroom, right, So that's what was happening.
Speaker 8 (28:28):
So finally they get the guy up into a seat
and he was just like resting the whole time. And
then the EMTs came on the plane first and took
him off. It was okay, he seemed, I mean they
were working on him.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Were you freaking out at this point, thinking you're gonna
have to deep plane?
Speaker 2 (28:42):
And yeah, because we were over probably New York, and.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
I was like, oh boy.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
But I'm happy. And he does not live in Boston.
He was traveling for work. He lived in Houston.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
I heard him back up for a second. So when
he hit the floor at your feet, the guy across
looks at you, he says, go do something.
Speaker 8 (29:00):
Yes, because because I think he felt like he couldn't
get over the guy because I had sort of a window,
like I had a lane to kind of get around.
There's no seat in front of me. So maybe that's
why I'm telling you.
Speaker 6 (29:13):
It was.
Speaker 8 (29:13):
It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. I was
terrified that he had died. Yeah, because he was not moving.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
Then you would have deplaned, Yes, they would have flown
to the nearest airport and the Yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:24):
Well you know, when you take eight flights, something's possibly happen.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Yeah, but the last time she flew, I got the call.
I know I'm always going to get the call from
Lisa at the airport. She said, You're not going to
believe what happened. Some guy right in front of her
projectile vomited on the back of the seat in front
of end of that.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
Yeah, something always does happen to you.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Well, you know, you're take enough flights.
Speaker 8 (29:45):
But but yeah, that that was crazy, like just the
timing event.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Now, it's amazing how many stories or happenings you can
run into while traveling, especially through airports.
Speaker 7 (29:55):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Crazy.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
Yeah, Well Tom Brady was at Logan Airport last week.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
I miss that Delta because of the shake Shack partnership
with Delta.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
Yeah, he's partnering with Delta, so he was slanging cheeseburgers.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Not I got a lot of partnerships going on.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
Yeah, he's busy oh man, he's very busy. But anyway,
this's a good talking time.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Yeah, if you're on that flight.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Or any flight. Airline news more like airline nightmares. So
what we want to guess everybody runs into something. I
don't care how much or how little you travel, chances
are you're gonna run into a situation. So that's the
topic six one, seven, nine.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Justin the talkback. Let's get them there.
Speaker 6 (30:35):
Yeah you can. Can you beat Lisa's story? Let us know,
hit us up on the talk back. Just record your
message right into your phone. You do it via the
iHeartRadio app. Just have the red microphone. I say it
every day if you've never done it, Today is the day.
Topic time is next.
Speaker 8 (30:48):
Sight Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in
the morning.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
So we're back from vacation. And it seems every time
we're on vacation, I will and I expect to get
call from Lisa Dunnovan. She'll be telling me be about
something crazy that happened on one of her flights. And
we just talked about it a couple of minutes ago.
List this was a crazy one.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
It was.
Speaker 8 (31:09):
It was scary because I was on a flay from
Houston to Boston, and this man looked like he was
about forty years old, about six feet tall, just went
down in the aisle, face down, unresponsive. I thought like
something from the overhead bin had hit me, so his glasses,
his hat fell off, they were on my shoe. I
literally had to sort of shimmy out of my seat
(31:29):
around him to go get help in the front, which
was the flight attendants in first class, And I'm waving
my arms, I'm up past the curtain and they're just
staring at.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Me, not doing anything.
Speaker 8 (31:41):
So then someone from the back rushed in and then
called for a nurse. But I found out later that
the reason why they didn't come rushing down was because
the cockpit door was open and the pilot was out
was out, so they literally thought that this could have
been some sort of setup, so that's why they didn't
come rushing.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
D been faking the medical emergency so they could gain
access to the cockpit.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Exactly, Captain Mike. Yeah, welcome back morning, Team, Lisa.
Speaker 7 (32:07):
After seeing some of those pictures you posted on your vacation,
I would fall at your feet too.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Wow.
Speaker 21 (32:14):
Oh man, Whinny, you had a.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
Story, right, Yeah, something not as dramaic as Lisa's.
Speaker 10 (32:27):
But I got to my seat on my way back
from Dallas and there was a woman sitting in the
aisle and I had the isle in the middle, so
I was like, oh, these are my seats, and then
she's like, oh, sorry I did, I'm not sitting here.
I switched to the mom that her kids were, you know,
all over the place and they were trying to sit together.
I'm like, okay, nowherries like, can you just move in?
So then about five minutes later, the mom switches back
because the kids are cool sitting alone so she can
(32:49):
have her aisle seat back. So the mom says to me, Oh,
she's kind of annoyed and mad at me because one
I need.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
My kids are younger and they put us all over
the place. But it worked out.
Speaker 10 (32:58):
She's like, what she's really mad about is that her
husband got upgraded first class and left her back here. Now,
we were in Road twenty three on the way back,
and I was like, if that I go. If my
husband left me on Ale twenty Road twenty three and
went to first class without me, I wouldn't be married
much longer.
Speaker 6 (33:17):
So me think.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
So he didn't ask her at all. Do you want
to go out?
Speaker 10 (33:20):
And what I get for her attitude when I first
encountered her being stipid already, and then from what the
mom had told me when she sat next to me,
it seemed as though he left her and got his
upgrade and did not care where she was sitting.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Well, he might have worked for the airline and sometimes they.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
Then why wouldn't say let my wife sit there?
Speaker 1 (33:38):
I don't think it's allowed. I don't know. I'm just sure,
but I don't know it was. I know I couldn't.
Ever I was like, no, it's.
Speaker 10 (33:47):
Okay to somebody else, like she was not happy.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
Yeah, Michelle would tackle me before I got to the Yeah,
let's go to Marina online one.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
She's in Marshfielle was beautiful there.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
Hey Marina, Hello to marshfille Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Well what just happened?
Speaker 6 (34:07):
Marina?
Speaker 22 (34:09):
I had to close my door.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Oh okay, all right, So Marina, you have a story
for us.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
I do.
Speaker 22 (34:16):
When I was younger, we all me and my siblings
were adopted. So my sister, she who ran from South
Korea into I can't remember which New York airport was,
but it was right after nine to eleven so there
was a bomb threat at the airport and at our terminal,
(34:38):
and we all had to go into lockdown pretty much
in this terminal, and they were giving us no information
at all about what was going on. There was also
no communication from her flight at all either, so we
had absolutely no idea what was going on anywhere. And
we're like that for hours. Yeah, and it was one
(35:01):
of the most horrifying memories.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
Yeah, I can't imagine.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
Okay, Well, thank you Marina, and make sure you say
hello and give our love to Marshfield.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
It's a nice time, Marshfield.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
I just remembered I had one on vacation, an incident
on the plant. You just remember it, just remembered it.
This a really nice guy was sitting next to me
and he had a dog on his lap right for
the entire trip, which was fine. The dog was very cute,
you know. He had the service dog apron on. I
don't think that's ever real. You could just get on
and put it on. The medium sized dog very well behaved.
(35:38):
And I'm saying, so somehow we got to talking and
he said, well, I was in first class, but the
woman next to me raised a big stink like excuse me.
I wasn't expecting to be in first class and have
to sit next to a dog. So the guy gave
up his first class seat and came back. There was
an open seat in the cabin.
Speaker 6 (36:01):
Hell's wrong with that woman? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Well, obviously the first privileges.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
He's not a dog person.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Yeah, and she probably asked for the second dinner. You
know he left.
Speaker 10 (36:11):
You don't know her eating house, because why did you.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Have to go there?
Speaker 9 (36:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (36:20):
Yeah, yeah, because she's a bitch about the dog doesn't
mean that she has exactly that she's four hundred pounds.
She needed the seatbelt extender, and she didn't have enough.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Room behind the dog.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
It could have been I should have asked, was there
a seat extender?
Speaker 1 (36:38):
No, she could have been very slight, exactly, and very nice.
Maybe she was allergic to dogs. I know, you don't know.
He never gave me the assuming that.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
I think that she was a lovely one, a lovely woman.
Justin you have a chalk back in there. Get me
ont of this, would you please? Yeah, I'm sure she
was a nice, nice lady.
Speaker 13 (36:56):
Bill.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
She probably asked for the second dinner.
Speaker 14 (37:01):
There.
Speaker 6 (37:03):
It's like an automatic.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
I couldn't help but notice the passenger six A didn't
get the dinner.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Is that available?
Speaker 4 (37:12):
And that.
Speaker 10 (37:14):
That was her real strategy, right, She wanted to leave
so that she could take his meal.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Is that I don't know. I can't explain me.
Speaker 6 (37:21):
It's like the woman that told him to in the
COVID days to turn his mask around. Oh yeah, why
don't you go to take them back? Let's go Laurie
online one.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
Oh, he'll Billy Highway Laurie. What's up?
Speaker 11 (37:36):
Good morning guys. Nice to have you back. I have
a funny, not so funny airplane story. About seven years ago.
I was flying to Italy from Boston on an overnight
flight with my then teenage son, who is a very
anxious flyer, and somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic,
we lost cabin air pressure and the flight had to
extend very rapidly, like ten thousand feet or nine thousand,
(38:00):
and the people behind us like started praying super loudly,
and then my kid was like sweething my hand to test,
thinking we were going to die, and it was a
hole to do, and we had to cruise into Paris,
and then we were stuck in Paris and we couldn't
leave the terminal for something like ten or twelve hours,
I can't even remember anymore, while we were waiting to
be re rooted on another flight finally to Italy. The
(38:24):
funniest thing about the whole story actually is that when
we landed in Italy after all of that terrifying flight,
most terrifying part of the trip, with the taxi.
Speaker 9 (38:33):
Driver from the airport.
Speaker 11 (38:36):
Who like scared the absolute crap.
Speaker 22 (38:38):
Out of us.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
Yeah, the winding roads of Italy. Yeah, I have another story.
Thank you for the call. By the way, I have
another story.
Speaker 6 (38:45):
Is it going to be better than the first?
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Years ago?
Speaker 3 (38:48):
I was flying a small plane to Nantucket, like a
sixth seat or something, and so we're flying and only
like three people on the flight, but there was a
guy sitting right across from me. We were in the
front row, right behind the pilot, and so we headed
into a storm, was very bumpy, and then we suddenly
got hit with lightning right and so it was a
bumpy ride, and we did a free fall, like about
(39:10):
fifty feet or nothing like a free fall.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
The guy next to me unbuckled, stood up and started
shaking the pilot, screaming, we're gonna We're gonna.
Speaker 4 (39:24):
Tele got like the guy's at the controls of the
plane that's already in trouble. I had to stand up
and go over to the guy and pull him down
into a seat, and you need to calm down, okay,
And I'll never forget.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
When we landed it logan right.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
We get off the plane and it's a little waiting
area and the guy that was freaking out sitting alone
in the seat like just overwhelmed, and everybody's walking by
him like he was wrong with you? You shaking the
pilot and he's piloting the plane in.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
A storm anyway.
Speaker 6 (40:01):
That just popped in line.
Speaker 10 (40:03):
And there's no like separation between the cock.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
Now no, no, he was right behind the line. So
he just stood up and was like, oh my god,
if it isn't bad enough, shut down.
Speaker 6 (40:18):
You all right? Thanks for that, Bill, Sarah online.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
For Sarah, Good morning. What's your story?
Speaker 9 (40:30):
Oh gosh, So we were flying home, my husband and
I my now husband and I had just gotten engaged,
and my wonderful brother had gotten a stand by tickets
but forgot to tell us that, you know, you need
to dress nicely if you're going to be flying on standby.
So we had made it all the way to Saint Martin's, Like,
(40:50):
you know, it's August, it's summertime. We had our shorts,
I had dresses whatever. On the way home, state agent
stopped us and was like, yeah, you're not dressed appropriately,
and my husband did not pack any pants, so she's like,
you're not getting on his splate without pants. So the
airline pilot heard our saga and actually offered my husband
(41:13):
his pants, so my husband wore the pilot's pants to
get us home. Yeah, so that was my engagement story.
I'm like, yay, Yeah, well, what did.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
The pilot fly naked?
Speaker 14 (41:27):
No?
Speaker 11 (41:28):
He had like a spirit Oh okay.
Speaker 8 (41:31):
The craziest story I've ever heard.
Speaker 10 (41:34):
I didn't know you needed to dress nicely and standby.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Yeah I didn't know that either.
Speaker 9 (41:39):
Yeah you have to you have to like dress fancy
if you're flying stand by because they usually put you
in first class.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
But yeah, what do you know about that?
Speaker 9 (41:46):
My husband is also like six four and like two
hundred and fifty pounds, and this pilot was like, I
don't know, maybe five seven, So I mean he looks
like Peter Pan. I'm not even lying. It's kind of
a it's a real store subject. But yeah, that's my
engagement story.
Speaker 6 (42:05):
Well, at least you got the free flight and it
was stand by.
Speaker 9 (42:09):
Yeah, we did fly stand by, so it was free.
But yeah, he was he was stuffed into these like
yeah little tiny pants, and yeah we had to and
they didn't even put us in first class. They still
put us in coach.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
Oh, you flying free and coach. There's two things I
learned there.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
I didn't know you had to dress nicely for stand
by and I didn't know stand by you can get
first class.
Speaker 6 (42:34):
Well, you learn something new every day. Anyway, thanks for
the call, Sarah
Speaker 1 (42:36):
And she probably asked for the second dinner
