Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ah, hey guys, so welcome back. You'll be glad that
you're sitting out there listening right now, because we do
have a last minute pair of jingle Ball tickets, which
is Tomorrow night. Tomorrow night, it's not Sunday night. Sunday night.
What is wrong with me? I think there was something
in the egg sandwich when he got me, and I
think she put it in there.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
I think she's drugging me.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's been a long week.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yeah, it's a long week. Sunday Night is the jingle
Ball and we've got a pair of tickets right now
for call of twenty five six, seven, nine three. Oh wait,
you'll need the keyword. See I made up for it
right there. The keyword is yard sale. Yard sale is
the keyword, okay, and uh yard sale is a keyword
least because Tom Brady of all people, is having a
giant yard sale.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Well he already did this past week.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
It was with Subabes and he netted nine million dollars
because he got rid of everything from watches to old
football items like helmets, jerseys. He even got rid of
his dun King's track suit.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
How much did that go for?

Speaker 4 (01:05):
It went for about fifty three thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Okay, you're kidding me.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I'm not sorry. Fifty thousand dollars yep.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
Oh my god, you guys could have finally gotten one
if you had bought it.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I paid for three of them and never got anything
and never got my money back on those stupid paper jumpsuits.
So what do you what is your message you think
he's sending out? Is he looking to put his entire
football career behind him?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
I think he has so much stuff, Like we were
saying off the air, he probably has a storage facility
filled with all of this stuff, and he's probably just trying,
you know, just trying to clean out his closet a
little bit. He sold twenty one watches, oh my god, IWC,
Patique Philippe and more.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Do you think he like donates this money or do
you think he just used.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
You know what they're not saying, but he Yeah, he
made about nine million dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
And he made millions just on the watches.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
Yes, nine million dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I like the cufflings.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I didn't get the cuff links, though very few people
are wearing French cuff shirt.

Speaker 6 (02:05):
Fifty five grand, Well, these are pretty cool fifty five grand.
So other rich people buy a more rich person.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Well no, no, no, no, no, yeah, well they can. Yes.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
Also, these are people that do this for a living.
This is what they do. They buy and they recently, Yeah,
that's it how they make their money.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
He sold his jersey from the combine, remember that when
when he was trying out. Basically that went for how
much releas a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yeah, it was his T shirt.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Yeah, he he's cashing in and they're not saying whether
this is a charity thing. He actually sold, you know,
the wristband he wears as he's playing.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
All the plays.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
He actually sold that from a Super Bowl and it
went for two hundred and four thousand.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Dollars, just just the little pad with all the plays
on it. Yes.

Speaker 7 (02:45):
Well, if you're not like I'm not, I don't like
I don't like clutter. Like I'm a minimalist. So if
I had all this stuff, I would probably get rid
of half of it. Two, because there's only so much
sentiment of value in certain things. Like he's been in
ten super bowls, eleven super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I don't think Rolex watches amount to clutter.

Speaker 7 (03:01):
No, but like I don't know, I just think heale he
has so much stuff.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Think about it.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
He sold a lot of stuff from Michigan his days
at Michigan too.

Speaker 6 (03:09):
Yeah, I mean, I just want to throw it out
there that at the radio station we have this big,
giant building. There's multiple businesses in this building. Yeah, but
downstairs where the garage is on one section is a
storage room that's for us, for Kiss one O eight.
And in that storage room is all kinds of Billy
Costa memorabilia.

Speaker 8 (03:30):
What.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Yeah, you don't know about this, nothing about this. All
your old tapes, all year old. There's t shirts down there.
There's all kinds of Billy stuff that's in that room.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Oh my god.

Speaker 7 (03:40):
You know.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
So since Tom Brady we get nine.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Dollars, can we put Riley in charge of the yard sale?
We can do it right outside in the parking lot.

Speaker 7 (03:49):
Okay, who's buying Billy cost and memorbilia?

Speaker 1 (03:52):
You never know? You never know.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I have a mug with your face on it, so
I'll put that in the sad.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
And you have a frame picture of me playing tennis
without John.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Oh when there's a mug of Billy in a thong? Yeah,
is that that one?

Speaker 9 (04:05):
Right?

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I'll go for a lot of dough.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, that is.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
A stocking stuffer.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Let's go to Stacy online. Three. Good morning Stacy.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Stacy, Good morning Stacy. Let me ask you one, Stacy,
you have any interest in a coffee mug with a
picture of me and a thong?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Okay, make me an offer.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
It's the only one out there. It's a perfect white
elephant gift.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Billy.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Okay, go ahead and make me an offer. We'll see
if it's good enough. How about if we add it
to a yard sale today. Okay, you got to come
pick it up. Feel free to spend some time with
it before you sell it. But it's a special gift.
Listen your collar twenty five. You have a keyword I do.

Speaker 10 (04:54):
It's yard sale.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yard sale is the keyword. You are going to jingle
Ball Sunday night.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
That's awesome.

Speaker 11 (05:01):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Do not hang up, Please don't hang up. Okay, these
are last minute tickets. You'll talk to producer Riley and congratulations,
we're going to see you at jingle Ball Sunday night. Awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Thank you so much. Happy holidays everyone, Happy.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Holidays to you you two.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
Only a couple more shots. It sold out jingle ball tickets.
Your next shot coming up at nine to ten. We
were just talking about Brady doing something weird. How about
another NFL player doing something even weirder. Well of that
story is on Weird Stories. Next, Kiss one.

Speaker 12 (05:29):
Away, Kiss one Await with Billy and Lisa's Weird Stories.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Oh all right, now this is a weird one. So
the Panthers wide receiver, his name is Xavier Legette. He
recently told someone that instead of eating turkey on Thanksgiving,
he ate raccoon. The raccoon is something that he actually
went out and he hunted for. He killed it, he

(05:57):
skinned it, he cooked it, and he ate it.

Speaker 13 (05:59):
Yeah, head down south your raccoon. I said, what do
you mean raccoon? Like the raccoon, like a raccoon that
you see in the chair? Okay, where do you even
eat that at? Where do you even get that?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I hunted? I skin him? Coolhoon? So was the last
time you had a raccoon? What do you think it
tastes like?

Speaker 4 (06:29):
He says that it has its own taste. It does
not taste like chicken.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
It's gamy.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
I bet yeah. And he also eats squirrels and rabbits.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Yeah, roadkill.

Speaker 14 (06:39):
I met.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
The raccoon's very tough. I think, I don't.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
I just don't think that that's healthy.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
I know that that's really weird. Great player though, yes,
having a great season.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Maybe it's the raccoon.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Maybe I got one. This is actually local. It's here
in the state of Massachusetts. And let's face it, every
so often crooks they're not that smart, you know.

Speaker 15 (07:07):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
These two guys that were robbing a place and one
of them ran got away. The other one, well, not
so much. He got stuck in the chimney. They had
to come in and literally break down the chimney to
get him out. He's on the roof. Get down here,
show your hands. I'm gonna come up there and grab

(07:27):
you guy. Yeah, he went down the chimney, the chimney,
you're an idiot. Get up, show us your hand.

Speaker 13 (07:35):
Right hands?

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Are you stuck?

Speaker 15 (07:39):
Rob right?

Speaker 12 (07:42):
Did he breathe?

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Fine? There they go, chipping away at the chimney.

Speaker 15 (07:49):
Straight up there.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
They weren't being very gentle with them. Well, they wanted
to get him out in time to save his life.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
But it's a festive time.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Never down the chimney. You're not Santa Claus.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
No, it doesn't work that way.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
Yeah, I knew a guy wants a you know, criminal
that got caught in a chimney like situation and he
was there for like three days.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
He almost died.

Speaker 6 (08:15):
He was screaming for three days and finally someone walking
by heard.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Him and speaking of claustrophobically. So imagine being down there
and you can't move your arms or get.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Out and just listening to the story.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
God, go ahead, Why okay, this is an interesting story.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
So a city in California is using mobile cameras and
loud speaker announcements to try to stop prostitution in some neighborhoods.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
You were entering an area known for prostitution and human trafficking.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Did you stay there for long term? Twenty minutes.

Speaker 13 (08:44):
When I came to the city in April of this year,
there was a substantial amount of foot traffic in those areas.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
They walked into the community very often around like midnight,
and they lay around on the bubbeque, you know, like
you a lot of conducts on the ground. That's terrible.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
It's like morning.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
These ladies are being dropped off.

Speaker 16 (09:07):
They are visible, and they are you know oftentimes you know,
hanging out here. During the day.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
Well, at least they're being safe on the ground.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I don't think used condoms are very safe for kids
walking along.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
No, I'm saying the prostitutes, ladies of the night.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Look at all these prostitutes.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
One, two, three, fix.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Seven seven seven prostitutes justin give us a bonus. You
can get us out of this one.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
This is weird stories. Yeah you can't. Here's the thing
about weird stories. We do it every morning at eight fifteen. Yeah,
these are the weirdest stories you're gonna hear. Yeah, you
can't be like weirded out by weird stories.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
And people are gonna repeat them all day.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Oh yeah, they're gonna go tell the one I heard. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
Yeah, they're driving to work when they get to work
out to tell them. So in New Jersey you have
the drones going on. Now they're saying they don't know.
Then nothing to worry about, it's no big deal. Well,
in Oregon this week there was some lights in the
sky that pilots were reporting as u f o's is
the pilot's calling it in We're saying.

Speaker 9 (10:12):
Three or four targets.

Speaker 8 (10:14):
Yeah, there's all altitudes up and down.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
It's pretty crazy.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
I mean they're shooting the way up maybe up to
the fifty. It looks like the four different lights going
up and down.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
I'm getting a few reports, but you've seeing it right
in front of you.

Speaker 16 (10:26):
Note as well, living.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
In like like a circle, like a corkscrew pattern.

Speaker 17 (10:31):
Visually, I have eyes on what looks like an aircraft grove.

Speaker 16 (10:34):
That my two o'clock.

Speaker 7 (10:37):
Yeah, so do you think pilots have like a world
like they they know that there's stuff up there because
they see it all the time.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
They closer to it.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Yeah, all the time.

Speaker 17 (10:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
I want to make one quick comment about the drones
over in New Jersey. Billy's really worked out, talking me
crazy that the government is saying it's no threat. But
in the same breadth they're saying, we have no idea
who's operating and who's flying them. So if you have
no idea what they are or who's flying them, how

(11:07):
do you know they're not a threat? That's all.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
It's a great point.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
And you know what, instead of the cameras for the
that when he had, they should use the drones to
monitor the prostitutes.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Right there you go, seven seven prostitutes.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
It all comes together, you know what I mean? That's
where stories you do it every morning eight point fifteen.
All the weirdest stuff that's going on in the world.
But coming up next, Billy has an entertainment update.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
What do we got Billboard Awards handed out last night.
A couple of our jingle ball artists coming into the
show Sunday night. We're big winners at the awards last night.
We've got that up next. Stand by No back to
Billy Lisa in the morning. Yeah, welcome back. Let's get
a couple of talkbacks in first, justin before the entertainment.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Yeah, Happy jingle Ball weekend, everybody.

Speaker 6 (11:55):
We've been talking about it for months, waiting and it
finally is here, coming up Sunday night.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Good morning, guys.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
I get to say I am so excited for jingle
Ball this weekend. My daughter is a freshman in college
and I have brought her every year.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
Since she was five.

Speaker 18 (12:07):
We didn't think we were going to make it this year,
but the date seems to be a little bit later,
so we were able to make it happen and we
are so excited.

Speaker 6 (12:16):
Same tradition, man, it's a Christmas tradition in Boston. You know,
you grow up going to jingle ball Kiss concert.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
You know, you know who's not excited, people who haven't
gotten tickets yet. Yeah, we do have another shot right
after nine o'clock.

Speaker 17 (12:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:31):
I always feel bad, man. So many people hit me
up and reach out. We do the best we can,
but we give them away. You know, it's a tough thing.
It's a hard show. We wish that everybody could go.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, we do.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
You know, I'm just saying, well, that's the same with
every concert, right, some people can't get tickets. How many
people missed out on Taylor tickets?

Speaker 6 (12:48):
Yeah, a few more chances today nine to ten coming
up with us and then three ten and four ten
with the v Bros.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
All right, let's go now.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
The entertainment update with a Billy copstay.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
No Board Music Awards last night, Taylor Swift cleaning up
a total of ten awards, including Top Artist, Top Radio Songs,
Top Billboard two hundred Album, the most wins in Billboard history.
Here she was Billboard is counting your stuff.

Speaker 7 (13:14):
They're counting what you listen to, the albums that you're
passionate about.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
And so I count these.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
As like fan voted awards, because you guys are the
ones who care about our albums and come see us
in concert, and.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Everything that's happened.

Speaker 5 (13:28):
With the Airs tour and the torture post apartment. I
just have to say thank you.

Speaker 9 (13:34):
It means the world to me that you guys have
embraced the things I've made.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
You know, and the fact that you've cared so much
about my music, and.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
This is like the nicest early birthday present you could
have given me.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
So thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Some fans traveled all over the world for her tour.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Oh a lot of them dead My sister did. She
went to Europe for it.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Well, sometimes you can get cheaper tickets if you are
willing to travel.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
That was a big story on the Eras tour that
you could get a flight, a hotel room, and tickets
to Taylor's show for less money than you would have
a pair of tickets absolutely here in the US.

Speaker 7 (14:10):
Yeah, because Europe doesn't have the gouging that we do. Wow,
did you guys see yesterday Taylor was at the Kansas
City Children's Oh my god, that's try to so sweet
meeting all the kids and actually someone was saying bye
to her and she they're videotaping it, and her pr
person trying to yelp them, and she's like, no, it's fine,
cool and literally pull her PR personally saying no, it's okay,

(14:30):
have a good day, Like she is a better PR
person than her PR people.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Yeah, it's always those people that kind of ruin the moment. Yeah,
she don't have to know.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
She was cool with it, she didn't care.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
But she was so sweet. And she just turned thirty
five today. Happy birthday, Taya she booz. He's a bar song.
One song of the year here he was.

Speaker 13 (14:48):
I want to thank my managers, thank my family, thank
my fans, thank everybody you.

Speaker 19 (14:54):
Know the song.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
It says me and Jack Dale's got a history.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Now me and Billboard got a history. Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Chapel Roone won for Best New Artist.

Speaker 20 (15:04):
Thank you Billboard for naming me your top new artist
of twenty four.

Speaker 15 (15:09):
This is awesome.

Speaker 20 (15:11):
You've really been so supportive and put not just one song,
but multiple songs on the Billboard charts. And this has
taken a long time to be a new artist, but
it's awesome to be recognized and all these years of
hard work are truly paying off.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
And thank you for being a part of that. Right
And on the same day, Morgan Wallin was sentenced for
throwing that chair off a rooftop in Nashville. Morgan Wallen
won a Billboard Music Awards. He sent the video message
going on.

Speaker 17 (15:43):
Billboard Music Awards. It's Morgan walland here. I just wanted
to say thank you, guys for everyone who's supported me
along my journey. As always, most importantly, thank you to
my fans. You guys have just given me so much
freedom to make music that I want to make. Whether
it's a song that sounds similar to someonow put out
in the past, or whether it's something that's completely different,

(16:06):
you guys have have always just at least given it
a chance.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Watch out, here comes a chair. No duck.

Speaker 6 (16:15):
I mean he could have he could have killed someone.
They were two police officers below. He just missed them.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
And it was a heavy chair. It wasn't like like
a little beach chair or something. It was a wooden chair.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Well, he's never had a lot of considerations.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
He actually got four Billboard Awards and Wallin spends will
spend seven days in a DUI center and he will
face two years supervised a probation. What does that mean
justin supervised?

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Yeah, I'll have to check in with a PO probation
officer probably once a month.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
I mean, I don't know if there's drug tests or whatever.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
But unsupervised check in, you just can't get in trouble.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
Yeah, you want unsupervised because there's no check in. Supervised
they kind of keep a watch on you. Yeah, did
they test you they I don't know if drug testing
is in there. Yeah, but you know what a fun
fact about me, my old probation officer for years when
I was younger, through all my trouble. He retired and
then was an usher at the ted Garden. I hope
he still is. And the first jingle Ball I worked at,

(17:13):
I was backstage and I walked by him and he
was like, justin Wow, couldn't believe it. And it was
a great like little reunion. That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Reion Teddy Swims last night won mo Board Award for
Best of Radio Song.

Speaker 19 (17:29):
Lose Control two is absolutely bonkers, man. I'm so grateful
Lease Control has changed my life. Thank you for changing
my life. Everybody that's listening, everybody's listening to the song
played the song Radio Song of the Year, Best Song
of the Year. I'm just so honored.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Thank you.

Speaker 19 (17:44):
To my best friends in the world. Thank you for
letting me do the best job in the world with
my best friends in the world, the best team in
the world, Warner Records, the best label in the world.
I'm just so grateful, honored. I love you, Mama, Thank
you so much.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Thank you for.

Speaker 19 (17:57):
Letting a fact Kim from Kanye's wain Man, thank you
all so much, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah. He also posted a very cool cover of him
doing journeys Me nicely done.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
It's just a city bopon and raised it sound and.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
It took the minny.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
You need a voice like his to sing that cover.

Speaker 5 (18:35):
Yeah, man, it's a really nice, really.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Good Benson Boone coming. And for jingle Ball Sunday Night,
he beat out Taylor Swift for Global two hundred song
Beautiful Things. He sent the video message, what's up Billboard,
it's Benson Boone. Thank you so much for this award.

Speaker 16 (18:50):
The most stream song of twenty twenty four is pretty ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
This is the award right here.

Speaker 16 (18:57):
I cannot believe you guys, Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm sorry I cannot be there in person. You caught
me right in the middle of the tour.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
The tour he's talking about is the jingle Ball Tour,
which will be Sunday night right here in Boston. Billie
Eilish went on Tiny Desk yesterday. She and her brother
Phineas doing Birds of a Feather. Check it out.

Speaker 19 (19:17):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
You guys ever seen Tiny Desk on NPR. So I
love Tiny Space. They jammed themselves in there, and boy
that sounds I was.

Speaker 18 (19:44):
I was.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
I didn't know she was gonna be on it. I
saw it yesterday on an Instagram or something, and I
was like, oh my god, it was so good.

Speaker 6 (19:50):
The best ones of that when the hip hop artists
go on like they had juvenile back, that.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Fantastic.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
You have it, bad ass, up.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Ass. So Brina Carpon were on Colbert says as a kid,
she was inspired, of all people by the Beatles and
the song Rocky Raccoon. Rocky Roccoon can't didn't do his
rout and here she is on Rocky Racks.

Speaker 21 (20:18):
When I was very very young, my dad played me
Rocky Raccoon for the first time, and uh, and I
was so mesmerized by that song and the songwriting of
it that I fell in love with Paul McCartney.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
I was can this that was my husband, my futures.
But he was quite old and I was so young.

Speaker 21 (20:32):
I didn't understand that he was much older.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Than me because I was looking at all these pettals.

Speaker 21 (20:37):
I was like, no, he's young, he's like young, He's
only like ten years older than me. I didn't understand
math I was a child, so so when I grew up,
I just fell in love.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
With his songwriting and when you grew up.

Speaker 5 (20:49):
Yeah, and then I met him in a you go, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
There you go. There's talk of a prequel now for
the show Outer Banks. I'm happy to add that I
watched the first season.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
It's a good show.

Speaker 7 (21:04):
I think it could be good if they do it
about like the Dads when the Dads were crazy Dad.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
But again we started, I couldn't watch the season.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
It was so bad.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
I dropped out this season too. Also talk of a
Friday Night Lights reboot for Peacock. I watched that TV series,
but I also watched the movie that came from the
TV series, so they're talking about another reboot. Katie Perry
is going to be the first celebrity judge named to
the new season of RuPaul's drag race and Bill Belichick
on the heading for UNC and the tar Heels.

Speaker 14 (21:35):
Excited to be here, excited to be in college football,
excited for the opportunity to build and develop young student athletes,
young men, and prepare them for their life either in
the NFL or professionally. But the lessons they learn will
be be professional lessons. They'll be pros in all areas.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Wouldn't it be cool if his gofriend actually became a
cheerleader at UNC?

Speaker 5 (21:58):
Siven and elgi Bill working on the campus, Well, she.

Speaker 7 (22:02):
Get our masters as she's eligibili left and becoming cheerlead.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
I don't know how all that works, but we'll see
Celts beat the Pistons. Last night one twenty three, ninety nine,
Bruins lost again, this time to the Kraken on the
road five one. Celt's going to play the Cardinals Sunday.
That'll be a four to twenty five kickoff. And and
I know I have it when you don't yell at
me at I'm not yelling at you. Well, brought to
you by Wilson Farm. You want to hide the trees

(22:26):
because the grinch is coming to Wilson Farm. In Lexington.
Actually this weekend the fourteenth and the fifteenth, you'll see
him at Wilson Farm in Lexington. You can just go
to Wilson Farm dot com and get all the information
you need and there you go back that ass up ads.

Speaker 12 (22:48):
From the Planet Fitness Kids One Away Studios. We're back
with a Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Okay, so we've already given away two pair of tickets
for the sold out jingle Ball. We did it at
seven to ten, we did it at eight ten. We're
gonna do it again right now. Jingle Ball is this
coming Sunday nights of This is what we call crunch time.
I need to call it twenty five at six one seven, nine,
three one eight. And the keyword, Producer Riley, is going

(23:17):
to be veterans. Veterans is the keyword, because, uh, the
Billy and Lisa Show in twenty twenty four kicked off
something that we really really enjoy. We call it local Legends.
And we ask people right at least to submit anyone
they can think of, either at their workplace, in their family,
in their neighborhood that they think are doing something above

(23:39):
and beyond helping people that need help.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Something like that, right exactly, And then we choose a
person and a story, and then we actually go out
and we surprise them and we tell them how wonderful
they are, We do an interview with them, and then
we give them jingle ball tickets.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
So this week's Local Legend is the final one of
twenty twenty four, but the good news is we are
going to continue it in twenty twenty five thanks to
our friends at Harvard Pilgrim Health. I just wanted to
get that word out to keep those nominations coming. So
you have to understand the entire morning show. Me, Lisa, Justin, Winnie,
and producer Riley all get in our cars and we

(24:18):
head out to the place and we surprise the local legend. Now,
the local legend is always nominated by someone. In this case,
the nominator was Donna Rosato, and we went to the
Veterans' Northeast Outreach Center in Haveril, Massachusetts, and the local
legend is Mandy Nogara Vega. What they do at this place,

(24:42):
they run a weekly food pantry for veterans in their
families on Thursdays. They also run a weekly AA meeting
on Tuesdays, and they have housing, free housing for veterans,
and so all of us showed up and we surprised Mandy.

Speaker 6 (24:57):
Here we go, yeah, and we asked her, you know
what do you do here? Like, why are you a legend?
Tell us why.

Speaker 22 (25:04):
We're a nonprofit that helps the veterans that are low income, housing,
food security resources. Anything we don't have, we outsource. We
are now currently housing fifty seven veterans.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
So what's the average day like for the veterans and
for you, it's.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Case by case.

Speaker 22 (25:20):
A lot of them are struggling with PTSD in substance abuse,
so it's getting them the proper services so that they
can live in their independent living. Our units are all
long term, so once they're in those units, that is
their apartment.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Do you think you're a legend? No, not at all.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
We think you are.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
And by the way, this is a fabulous facility. And
Lisa tell her what she gets as a local legend.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Well, we have jingle Ball coming up on Sunday, so
we have a pair of soda jingle Ball tickets for
you to enjoy.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Have you tried to go to the jingle Ball? I
don't think we have where you're going now.

Speaker 6 (25:50):
Yeah, she's really really doing amazing work. I mean, there
were other people that work with her and they were
kind of going further into She had a lot of
humility and you know, she does the job of like
five people and it's all about helping these veterans who
are all struggling with different issues.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
And there's so much going on. As you looked around
there in habral they had clothing they had collected for
veterans who might need them. They had people walking in
and out knowing that it was a comfortable place for
them and they could get anything they need.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah them.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
And they're also doing a toy drive that you can
get involved with too that we will share the link over.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Oh good, awesome, Yeah, we'll share that on social media.

Speaker 6 (26:27):
And one of my favorite parts is, you know, because
a lot of them struggle with substance abuse and mental illness,
is they started an AA meeting in their facility there
and it started with like two people and it's now
grown weekly to twenty thirty or more people.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
So that's something just that woems my.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Home and AA meetings are so critical. You got to
work it right, and that's exactly what people do.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
And the other thing about Mandy is she does all
of this stuff for the Veterans Outreach Center, but she
also has three kids at home.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Yeah, so she's like a working.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Mom the husband in the military who was away all
the time.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Yeah, she's amazing.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
So congratulations to Mandy Nogera Vega. She's going to jingle
Ball and so is caller twenty five. Do we have
college five college?

Speaker 5 (27:08):
Her name is Lisa.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Hey, Lisa, Hi, your caller twenty five. Half the battle.
Give me the keyword veterans. Veterans is the keyword, Lisa.
You are going to jingle Ball Sunday night. Who thank
you so much. All Right, you gotta hold on. Producer
Riley is waiting to talk to you, so don't hang up.
And congratulations. We'll see you Sunday night at the TD Garden.

Speaker 6 (27:31):
And for everyone else, two more shots at sold out
jingle Ball tickets three ten, four to ten with the
v Bros And Gianna And coming up next we'll have
some talkback leftovers. A lot of people join the show,
so we'll get them on for you. I love this
song right here Bruno Mars Lady go gotts. I would
smile Billy.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
And Lisa every morning.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Just one to wait all right, let's get some talk
back leftovers in there.

Speaker 6 (27:52):
Brother God, I got to shout out the audience, the
Billy and Lisa listeners. They are very busy on a Friday,
a lot of people checking in on very this topic, saying, Hi,
but this one, this one hits close to home for me.

Speaker 23 (28:03):
I justin II kiss went away crew.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
My name is Martin.

Speaker 23 (28:09):
I just want to say I'm a big family trial
liston you guys every day. When I was blocked up,
I just got out. I got them on December sixth, and.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
I haven't sold with thirteen months.

Speaker 6 (28:27):
There we go, There you go. Congratulation Martin. Thank you
for listening. Yeah, everyone knows my story so out of time? Yeah,
keep going. You know what, Martin, is there anything you
ever wanted to do that you thought you could never do?
Because of the things you did, you can do it.

Speaker 5 (28:44):
Yeah, thirteen months is a long time.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
So yeah, one day is a miracle. Yeah, never mind
thirteen months behind you, Martin. Congratulations, Hey us, love the show.

Speaker 18 (28:52):
I just wanted to call the wish you all a
happy Christmas. I'm actually really sad you guys are going
to be on break because I listen every morning. It's
part of my routine, and I love it when you're
on there. I go back to most to the old podcasts.
At this point, I think I listened to everything you've
ever recorded. So I don't know what I'm gonna do,
but I hope you guys enjoyed the time off. I
really appreciate the show that you put together. Anyway, Love

(29:14):
you guys.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Bye. So what can she do? Jessir?

Speaker 6 (29:16):
Uh, Well, we'll be here next week. We're not going
away after today. Well, you gotta go way back, that's
the thing. So now you've covered probably the twenty tens,
maybe the two thousands. Maybe go back to the nineties
with Bill.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
That'd be good.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Hey, this Saturday Night just went away Budweiser and Oxygen Entertainment.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
I mean nineteen ninety eight. Go back to ninety two
with Bill.

Speaker 24 (29:41):
We'll move over to.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
The paramount lot now, spending more time with some of
the hot TV shows.

Speaker 11 (29:45):
Talk shows included Arthenio Hall here with me in his office.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
It's one where did you moved?

Speaker 11 (29:52):
What was that?

Speaker 2 (29:53):
And then you know, if you did do the nineties,
that's okay. You can go back to the eighties even
maybe even eighty seven.

Speaker 11 (29:59):
Oh, I'm full wrestling talk, and I have a very
special guess with me from the radio station Kiss one Owait.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Bill Costa.

Speaker 11 (30:08):
Bill, can you give us a little feedback on what
you thought of the match?

Speaker 1 (30:11):
A long bo Actually, I'm very impressed, and I'm glad
I came.

Speaker 11 (30:14):
And it's great to be here because I've heard a
lot about the United States Wrestling Federation.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
I didn't know you were a big wrestling thing.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
It amazes me, you know what.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
I had no idea what was going on there? And
he had no idea who I was? No idea, Yeah,
no idea. And if you need to go back even
for me further than that. Good afternoon.

Speaker 11 (30:33):
I'm Bill Constant in the newsroom with the check in
the day's top stories. An airplane no less joined in
in the afternoon crunch this afternoon. And it's seventy nine
outside of the Kiss studios right now, Dale Dormant will
take you up until six, and Joe Joe Kincaid in
for Sunny Joe White on Kiss.

Speaker 7 (30:49):
Love Old Billy Voice and where did that come from?

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Can you try right here? Kiss onewait?

Speaker 11 (30:55):
Oh yeah, Actually, with the highs both days about eighty degrees,
it's seventy one outside the studios.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
Now I'm Bill Costa here. Okay, so what why was that?

Speaker 5 (31:05):
Why did you change your radio voice?

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Like I didn't know I did. I think I just
lost my radio.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
That's what happens, you know, as you get older, you
know what I mean, he's really young, he was.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
The technology was different than different.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Yeah it sounds weird. Yeah, I was drafted out of school.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
Yeah, and I mean a very storied career. I mean
Bill decades. I mean you interviewed the biggest celebrities.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
I'm here with Mickey and many you guys have to be.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
I had some big ceremonies here today.

Speaker 11 (31:32):
Oh yeah, we just had the big dedication.

Speaker 7 (31:34):
How many Always nice to have a new neighborhood and
some new digs.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Gosh, we've been here for years, you know, we were
here before.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Just why I'm open, But this is a whole new
neighborhood for a solid, permanent hangout, a home.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
Away from home, allway from home, away from home.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
You know, why do you have to find the stuff
that's embarrassing to me? Why can't you find some of
the good stuff.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
This is legendary stuff.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Yees, you know what from Disneyland.

Speaker 6 (32:03):
So the jingle Ball backstage this Sunday night though, that's
just how it is. Anyway, We'll come back and wrap
things up and everything that you missed on today's show.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
You missed a lot. It was a funny show. That's
next on.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Kiss, Kiss one Away.

Speaker 12 (32:17):
It's the morning wrap up on Billy and Lisa in
the morning.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
All right, Happy Friday, everybody.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
Let's take a look back on what you missed on
the Billy and Lisa Show this morning. It's jingle Ball weekend.
It is a sold out show. We gave away last
minute tickets three ten and four to ten. The v
Bros And Gianna will have your last couple of pairs.
It's going to be a great weekend. Hopefully you going
to the show, and if not, you can tune in
and catch everything backstage behind the scenes. Make sure you're

(32:43):
following Kiss on all socials, Kiss Oneawait dot com and
all of that. As far as the show this morning,
I did not get this in. We talked a lot
about Oprah and Mel Robbins yesterday Mel Robbins on Oprah's podcast,
and then Oprah was in town for a conference.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
She was the keynote speaker.

Speaker 10 (33:00):
I wanted to let you know that yesterday at the
Massachusetts Conference for Women, Oprah did mention Mel and the
podcast and it was in front of eleven thousand other women,
So pretty good exposure in my book.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
Yeah, Mel's doing quite well with no book sales right now.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
Yeah, And she's doing Lisa's book Club Mel Robbins in January.
And you know, I have to say it again, Lise,
because I see all the talkbacks and I get all
the messages.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
It is sold out.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
It's sold out.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
There's a wait list of how many people.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Oh, it's seven hundred and fifty at least.

Speaker 17 (33:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
Yeah, so we're sorry.

Speaker 18 (33:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
And by the way, I know that Mel mentioned Lisa's
book Club to Oprah. I was hoping Oprah would mention
Lisa's book Club at the conference yesterday.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
It's okay, it's okay. We're looking forward to that. It's
gonna be a big twenty twenty five for Lisa's book Club.
We had topic time this morning. This was a fun one.
I have a lot on this topic. The worst Christmas
gift you've ever gotten?

Speaker 24 (33:57):
Hi, guys, listen. So I love my husband with every
rounds of my being. But and I'm dating myself because
we've been together a long time. But my worst present
was when I used to use my iPod nano, you know,
back in the day, and I wanted a speaker for it.
He bought me computer speakers that plug into the iPod

(34:17):
and you know, has to be plugged into a wall.
But they were speakers meant for a computer, and it
was not what I was thinking.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Not his faulty. It wasn't computer savvy.

Speaker 6 (34:28):
Clearly, Sometimes you don't make the best decisions. I've gone
to my wife some not you know, some gifts that
weren't the best. You know, it's all about the thought.
It's all about the thoughts.

Speaker 15 (34:39):
One of the worst gifts I've ever got is my
head a Yankee swamp at my house family Christmas party,
and I got a used old Yankee candle and I
knew the person that did it.

Speaker 14 (34:54):
Yeah, that's probably.

Speaker 15 (34:55):
One of the worst gifts.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
And somebody had already lit the candle was used.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
That's terrible.

Speaker 7 (35:01):
They probably didn't like to smell, and they.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
Could have at least cut the chip off the wick
or something, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
It's all on the side of the So.

Speaker 8 (35:12):
A few years back, I was dating this guy who
was really into the Transformers toys, and he would always
get the toys and then when he got them, he
would talk my ear off about them, make me listen
and watch him transform them, and it was really annoying.
But so then one year for Christmas, he gave me
a present and it was wrapped and I unwrapped it
and it was a Transformers toy.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
And I was like, why did you give me this?
This is your thing?

Speaker 8 (35:35):
And she says, the gift is that you don't have
to listen to me talk about it this time.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Okay, Oh so he doesn't have to get it for himself.
She got it for Yeah, okay.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
I open anymore.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
I don't know a second day a guy that's really
into toys.

Speaker 16 (35:52):
I do.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
No, No, I did not. I do. Notice.

Speaker 6 (35:55):
We've done this topic a couple of times, and there
are multiple times when they talk about the bad gifts
from a boyfriend or a girlfriend, and they always ended
with we're not together, you know.

Speaker 17 (36:07):
What I mean.

Speaker 9 (36:07):
The worst gift I think I've ever gotten was probably
from my older sister. Just in general, she's an awful,
awful gift giver. She tends to just grab things from
around her house and like wrap them up and give
them to me. She literally wrapped up one of her
magazines one time and gave it to me.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
Oh okay, a used magazine.

Speaker 5 (36:29):
She wrapped paper and paper, Yeah, why not.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Just handed towards a Hey, have you read this?

Speaker 16 (36:34):
Like?

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Oh my god, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
All right, one more here, here's one for you.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
My now husband and I had been together for five
years at this point.

Speaker 12 (36:42):
Not engaged.

Speaker 24 (36:43):
He kept saying, I have a gift for you.

Speaker 10 (36:45):
I can't wait for you. Fits you you're gonna love it,
talking it up, so I think we're getting engaged.

Speaker 24 (36:49):
Show Christmas.

Speaker 22 (36:50):
Fast forward.

Speaker 24 (36:51):
Christmas morning, I get a we fit, a push up bra.

Speaker 22 (36:55):
And a fleece footy hoodie thing that looks like the.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
Pink nightmareical Christmas Story.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
You know what that is. It's pepto bismalpink.

Speaker 24 (37:03):
It has ears the whole thing.

Speaker 9 (37:05):
I cried.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
He wants to play dress up in the bunny suit.
What's so we fit?

Speaker 12 (37:12):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (37:13):
It was so they had the Nintendo wee a video game.
Oh yeah, yeah, we Fit was like an exercise.

Speaker 17 (37:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (37:19):
Thing that they had was re popular back then. Okay,
I'm sure you had them at your house in Lynnfield.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
I'll show you that.

Speaker 6 (37:25):
Anyway, you can catch the full Friday podcast on the
iHeartRadio app. It'll be up shortly around ten thirty am.
Make sure you start Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Subscribe so you'll get notified when a new episode goes up.

new episode up seven days a week.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
So this is it before jingle Ball. Jingle is Sunday night.
Are we gonna have tickets to some point today?

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Three ten and four to ten last shots?

Speaker 1 (37:49):
Those are the last chances. So twelve to ten with
the Mighty one.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
No, three ten and four ten with the v Bros.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
So what I was gonna say, three ten and four
to ten with the v Bros. What happened with.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
We don't have enough tickets to give to McCabe.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
Sorry McCabe, Well he's not speaking to me now anyway.
But listen, jingle Ball, we will see you Sunday night.
It's going to be so, so, so awesome. We'll be
broadcasting from backstage. We'll do a whole Kiss Top thirty
countdown from backstage, and we'll be having a ball, and
