Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now best morning show in Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the Morning.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on kids one. Await, hey, guys,
welcome in the Billy and Lisa Morning Show. It is
the big Friday show, and it's gonna be a beautiful day,
right Lisa.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yes, and a beautiful weekend. Lots of sunshine will hit
seventies this weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Wow, and the seventies are going to carry into next week.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yeah, upper seventies.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Well that's good news because I'm gearing up for the regatta.
I do the regod. I head out the Charles Regatta
every day. Oh, we don't get down the childs. Who
are you kid?
Speaker 4 (00:35):
It would never go up to Charles. It's like both
like ants. I do the regatta every year with one
oar and just me.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Well, it is a fun event if you're a spectator too,
So head over to the Charles this weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah, it's an amazing tradition. I mean thousands and thousands
of people lined the banks of the river Charles and
all ages too. And you know you've got restaurants and
vendors all along the Charles River. It's a great event.
So and it's gonna beautiful weather, which is good because
some years they don't get the weather, you know, and
that's sad. It's going to be a beautiful weekend. Great
for me.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
I have so many leaves around my house, so I
gotta get out there with the blower and me.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Too blow them. Hall, you gotta stay ahead of it. Yeah,
I got home. You're so right. I got home yesterday
and the landscapers are out there, and I'm like, oh
my god, this makes you feel good, doesn't magical?
Speaker 6 (01:29):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah, Well, Billy has a thing with the leaves.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
He I have to say, I'm starting to have the
same issue with the leaves.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
It's too much.
Speaker 5 (01:37):
Well, right now, you know, the colors are beautiful, they're
nice to look at, but as days go on, weeks
go by, they.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Start to be a pain in the ass and don't
look as nice. Well, I'm very excited because not only
were the landscapers there, but also they repaved everything around
the building. It's awesome. Now, Winnie. I know you're in
an apartment building. You ever get out there with a
rake and just take some of the leaves away.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I don't pay a mortgage for my rent for me
to have to do the leaves. We have people for that.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Sometimes it just good billy. You don't rake it up either,
holes rake it up, you know. Then you have the
giant plastic bags. That's all part of the mass. I
used to like it when we burned them.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
You actually still can in certain in certain towns, if
you get a license, you can burn leaves.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
There are certain towns. I saw one recently, like I
was driving by and there burn their leaves.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
But that never made sense to me, Like, let's say,
why would they issue you a permit? Because the embers
from burning the leaves, and it's usually done in the
gutter right there in the street, the embers could set somebody's.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Home on Well, that's why, you know, that's why most
people don't want you to do it, exactly.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
I know. So I don't understand why anyone would ever
give a permit for it.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Maybe your homeowners insurance takes, like, you know, responsibility if
you have a permit.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
I don't know, but I'm gonna be blowing all weekend,
that's for sure. I bought one of those high powered blowers.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Oh my god, you with the gadgets in your house,
you got to buy the strong one to get it
done quickly.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I'm jealous of you because we have the one we
have to plug in. You he's not that handy, Yeah
he's You.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Don't have to be handy to buy upgrading.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
You know what least, I'll come to Milton with my
blower and I'll blow all weekend.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
I'm telling you.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
You go to.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Another man's house with your blower, that's resrespectful.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
You better let him know and advance. When I lived
in Lynnfield, I made that mistake. I went out, I
got a blower that plugged in, and then I'm starting
to use in the yard and every time I went
ten feet the plug came out of the wall.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
That's falling short. No, spend the extra money and get
the nice one.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Yeah you got is yours gas power.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Oh it's the best one you can buy. Yeah, it's
a commercial. It's a backpack blower. It's a commercial one.
The thing is so powerful. I use it for the
snow too. I don't shovel unless it's like a lot
of snow. When I come out of my porch, I
blow all the snow.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Is it designed for both leaves and snow? Absolutely not?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
But I mean, could you can work for the Canton
Police with that type of work using the snow blower
for everything.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (04:28):
Yeah, bring that guy in New Hampshire. Yeah wow, that's wild. Uh, Lisa,
you're all stressed out. You get parents weekend at the Academy.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
I do, but it'll be a beautiful day. It's just
a lot going on. And then I'm hosting the south
Shore Health Gala tonight the Weymouth Club. Another five hundred
people coming. That's raise a lot of money for for
south Shore Health when.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
That's your family club, isn't it. The Weymouth Weymouth Club
is amazing.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
We love it.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
We learned how to play tennis there, we learned how
to swim there, We went to summer camp there.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
So that's great. Wow. Okay, so we got a lot
going on. We've got a beautiful weekend coming up. We
do have the jingle Ball jackpot that we will kick
off at seven to ten this morning. Don't forget the
jackpot is huge. A if you're call it twenty five
you know the keyword. You get a pair of tickets,
but you qualify for the jackpot, which is for front
row seats mcclower. Sorry, okay, you want to get the
(05:26):
parking lot for before we leave, and yeah, you have
a shot at one hundred eight thousand dollars. Entertainment is
up next. We've got the latest on Liam Payne.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
That's next from the Planet Fitness, Kiss one Away Studios.
We're back with the Billy and Lisa in the Morning
on Kiss.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Hey guys, so welcome back. It is the Billy and
Lisa Morning Show. It's the big Friday Show. You want
to kick it off with a talk back in there
justin absolutely it's Friday.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
So we always look to the weekend and what you
have planned or what you could do, and we always
check one with our friend the Mayor of the South End.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Haby Friday.
Speaker 8 (06:03):
It's the Mayor of the South End. And it's good
news from Gayland here. We'll finally be getting into the
rock and Roll Hall of Fame this weekend along with
DM Warwick, Mary J. Blige and my favorite cool in
the game. And yes, I will be going to the regatta.
I'll be bringing some wine and cheese down to the river.
(06:24):
And don't burn you leaves because it produces cobbon monoxide
which can kill you.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Have a great weekend, Okay, alright, he covered everything.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah, full slate from the mayor.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
Yeah, I love how he has information that he delivers.
Then he also responds to things that we're talking about.
It's a very interactive show, this little show right.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Now now the entertainment update with the Billy godstep.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Okay, latest on Liam Payne's death of the investigation continues
as to whether he fell or may have jumped from
that balcony. There is a report that his record label
dropped him just two days before his death. All of
the guys from one direction releasing emotional statements. So yesterday
at Leasta, you've got a couple of them right now there,
(07:07):
So this is from one direction.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
The band were completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing.
In time and when everyone is able to there will
be more to say, but for now we will take
some time to grieve and process the loss of our
brother who we loved dearly.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
And there were individual statements as well.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Zane's statement was really hit me hard personally. He says,
I can't help but think selfishly that there were so
many more conversations for us to have in our lives.
I never got to thank you for supporting me through
some of the most difficult times in my life.
Speaker 9 (07:40):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
That's one of the things about you know, death and
losing somebody that you love, that you're close to, is
when they passed, you start thinking about all those things,
all the times that you could have had. Yeah, you know,
things that you could have done maybe to help the person.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
It's stuff. Could there have been one more conversation that
could have might have made a difference or something. The
family also releasing a statement their heartbroken. Liam was living
their hearts forever. He was kind, he was funny, and
he was brave. This is this is a tragic story
in the music industry. One direction was huge. Most of
(08:12):
them did really, really well as solo artists. Yesterday we
celebrated some of their music. And even after the show,
hours and hours after the show yesterday, believe it or not,
I was still really moved for some reason by that
cover that Liam did of a Pink song. I don't know,
it just stuck in my head and I came to
(08:33):
realize that this guy was a much better singer than
I think a lot of people gave him credit for.
Can we play it one more time? Just about us?
What about all the times you said you had the answer?
What about us. What about all the broken, happy and
(08:54):
afters unbelievable tough Simon Kwa forget Simon Cowell discovered him
the taping of Britain's Got Talent. He's canceling or postponing.
In fact, he personally is struggling with the emotion. So
he's taking a break from filming altogether. He's going to
be replaced for a few shows by Bruno Tonioli. Wasn't
(09:15):
he on Dancing with the Star as one of the judges. Yes, yep,
so yeah, Simon met Leam when he was only fourteen
years old on X Factor.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
The One directioners are not big fans of Simon Cowell.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Oh really well.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
They feel like he took advantage of them and he
did an interview I don't know with the last few
years and he says only a regret was that he
didn't own the name One Direction. The boys owned it.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Oh They're like.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
You do you regret anything that you did with them?
And he goes, I should have owned the name.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
You know what? When he he's got very very bad energy.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
I like Simon Cowell. I've always liked Simon Cowell, but
I'm just saying the One directioners.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Oh you are the King's fine.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
I'm just bringing light to it.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Taylor's who have going to kick off the final leg
of the Ears tour in Miami tonight. She's got three
shows in Miami and then it's off to New Orleans
and Indianapolis and then Toronto and Vancouver. Keep in mind,
this is amazing. Every time Taylor brings her show to
a town or a market, hundreds of millions of dollars
(10:19):
in revenue. It's good for all business in the region,
especially the small businesses. So it kicks off in Miami tonight.
Billie Eilish the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Michael Keaton the guest host. The promo was pretty funny
yesterday with Keaton, Billie Eilish, and Chloe Fieman. We have
a clip. Hi. I'm Michael Keaton. I'm hosting SNL this
(10:40):
week with Billie Eilish.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
I hope there's some spooky sketches for Halloween.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Boom. No, don't ever do that for me again.
Speaker 10 (10:50):
I'm so sorry.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Hey, did anybody order the Billie Eilish converse yesterday? Well?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
No, but you do have a few days.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, it kicked off yet on we were online.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
I was used the one hundred you were giving me
today to pay for them.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Oh that's right. I knew one of us would bring
that up, and I knew it was going to be winning.
So Producer Riley can confirm this. We had a conversation
earlier this morning, the very first break I get in
the show this morning, I'm gonna go downstairs to the ATU.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Watched the ATMB out of service.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
It always is, by the way, that's a forfeit. That's
not my fault.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Well, Billy owes this money because he lied and said
that he had gifts for us from Zimbabwe and his
lost luggage, and when the luggage was found the other day,
he admitted he lied.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
There were no gifts. I got the suitcase yesterday.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Was everything intact?
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Strangely, your gifts were missing? Everything else was there? Hey,
it's new music Friday. Justin what have you got? Okay?
Speaker 5 (11:51):
Bruno Maher is out with another new song, another collaboration,
this time with Rose from Black Pink. We'll have the
full song about set fifteen this morning. Has a little
taste for you. It's called Ready for This Apartment. No, No,
Producer Riley, what is she doing?
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Why?
Speaker 5 (12:10):
Would you put that in there? No, it's not that song.
It's this one.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Won't you don't America?
Speaker 3 (12:19):
It's crazy?
Speaker 5 (12:22):
Are you gonna do?
Speaker 11 (12:23):
Is?
Speaker 6 (12:24):
Just meet me at.
Speaker 12 (12:28):
Oh yeah?
Speaker 5 (12:30):
So apt short for apartment is a Korean drinking game.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yes, so that's what they're That's what it's about. It's apartment.
I liked the song. I think it's a jam.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
New Music, Friday, seven fifteen. You'll hear the entire song.
Also new this week, Mark Amber. He opened our Kiss
concert back in June. Belong Together a big hit in
twenty twenty four, but he has a Christmas cover run
Rudolph Run, Mark Amber.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Make Murray tell me he can take the field.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Okay, really put me in the spirit.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
When I play these songs, you can't see Bill cost
his face, but it's very telling.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Okay, you didn't like that one. I'm just thinking it's
a lot of time in a studio to come out
with a song. There's a lot of preparation and that's
all they got. It's a Christmas shop. There have been
someone in the studio that said, I think we take
this in a different direction.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Or is there a call for this?
Speaker 13 (13:31):
Right?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
It's like a Christmas song, but it sounds like it
should be like a summer song.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Yeah, let me hear it again. Make Murray tell me
can take the field down like it's very like it's
like a two step. Wow, Bill, you're a grinch. Yeah
we do. Yeah, guys, we love. And lastly, we had
a tease of this for.
Speaker 5 (13:54):
Several months actually, but new Morgan Wall and his new
single it's called love Somebody.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Okay, not a fan of that one either. You know what,
I'll just I'll just retire all the new stuff.
Speaker 14 (14:18):
I like you.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
I'm sorry. I still had the Mark Amber in my
I talked hard to get it out.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
Oh there you go new music Friday again, the entire
Bruno Mars Rose song seven to fifteen For new music.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
From There You Go. Snoop Dogg says he'll be a
feature again at the Olympic Games, this time twenty twenty
eight in Los Angeles.
Speaker 12 (14:38):
Most likely you will because I'm just so into sports.
I love everything at NBC embodies when it comes to sports,
and I'm glad that they got that basketball situation this
year now. So I'm just a sports guy. I love
to be a part of anything that represents our country.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
He's also an NBC guy and it's also not dumb.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Yeah, his best year.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
I think, Well he's now a judge on uh what's
the four the voice? The voice? Yeah, and then he
just did the whole thing with NBC. I mean that
didn't they pay like ten million dollars for the Olympic
coverage something like that?
Speaker 3 (15:11):
It was crazy?
Speaker 1 (15:12):
What they mean?
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Wow?
Speaker 13 (15:13):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Someone else who should not be in a recording studio
right now is j Low. She says now that she's
a single, she wants a new single. She wants a
dance track.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
She said that it was her last album. She promises
she stopped.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Singing, she flopped to dance. Okay, whatever, and she says
if the first song works out, she wants an album
stacked with hits.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Okay, okay, well, then tell her to call up. Ashanti
Zendaiya is back in Boston. Yes she is, boy she
loves it here.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah, she filmed The Challengers recently, but this is called
The Drama and it's with William Robert Pattinson.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Yeah, which means he'll be bopping around and.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
They're starting filming supposedly on October twenty first.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
So okay a couple of days. Don't forget your Patriot's
in London with the Jaguars on Sunday. We'll get the
game nine thirty Sunday morning. Here's Hunter Henry right here.
Speaker 11 (16:06):
It's an exciting opportunity. You know, when you're young, you
don't think that this game. You start playing this game
at a young age and you always dream of being
at this level, and then now this level takes you
to a foreign country in England to play football games.
So it's a pretty special opportunity that we all get
to be a part of and playoff.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
Baseball Guardians would come from behind win over the Yankees
in Game three, Game fours tonight, Dodgers just one win
away from the World Series. They beat the Mets ten two,
And don't forget jingle Ball the jackpot your shot coming
up at seven to ten this morning. We're brought to
you by Dover Rugg and Home. More rugs, more broad loom,
more affordable, faster delivery and faster installation too. You can
(16:45):
buy rugs anywhere, but it's much better to buy them
at Dover rug Natick, Boston and Burlington. And there you go.
Oh god, I thought that was absolutely dreadful from the
Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
So we're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning on.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Kiss on eight. Hey guys, welcome back. It's the big
Friday show. We've got a pair of tickets right now
for the Kiss Runaway jingle Ball coming into town December fifteenth.
Huge lineup. We've got the jingle Ball jackpod to going on.
So we need caller twenty five six one seven nine
thirty one one one eight. And when caller twenty five
gets through, and it could be you, you'll need the keyword.
(17:26):
And the keyword that producer Riley is subscription. Okay, and
we'll explain that now because you're sitting on a story
right now, Lisa.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah, this is amazing.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
The FTC has a click to cancel rule now which
will stop companies from making you take unnecessary steps to
cancel US subscription. So that means gym memberships, magazine subscriptions,
monthly payments for services like Amazon Prime. It also covers
free trials that charge you if you don't cancel in time.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Yeah, and you forget. So this click to cancel rule
is going to be real great for all of us.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
I just went through this. I canceled my Stars app,
you know, the TV thing, and it took me literally
like five steps. They asked me five different times if
I wanted to stay, n't want to cancel?
Speaker 3 (18:12):
You shit, Yeah, it's a nightmare.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
And so basically what they want to do is make
it as easy to cancel as it is to sign up.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
And that's always been my thing.
Speaker 5 (18:20):
It's so easy to sign up for a subscription free
trial takes two seconds when you try to cancel nightmare.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
My wife Michelle yells at me all the time because
I'll get the trial, but I'll never remember to cancel
the trial. And I did it once over the past
couple of weeks, and I don't even remember what I
signed up for.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Well, that's what they've been banking on all along. So
I'm glad finally the federal government's getting it off.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
Well apparently they received the FTC receives around seventy complaints
a day from customers. Wow, upset about trying to cancel
and they cance nightmare. There are things that I pay
for that I just don't want to go through the
hassle of canceling it.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Yeah, take the time, same with me, and you know
what they do intentionally, they keep you on hold or
they keep transferring you to another line, assuming that you'll
give up.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Well, I'm glad you're saying just assume you're going to
give up, because if you signed up for a subscription
online using a form, companies can no longer require you
to call them or chat with a live agent to cancel.
So they're making it like so much easier.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, because I saw certain companies they'll be like, oh
you have to like call and canl or like it's
an actual company, come in and cancel.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
So this is.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
Effective when it'll take about six months okay to go
into effect.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
But I've got to try to remember what I just
signed up for the trial because I wanted one episode
of something, and I know I'm going to forget and
in five years I'm still going to be paying.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
They bank on that, but not anymore.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
Not anymore.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
By the way, the gym memberships, you know, any gym,
try to cancel that membership?
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Well also like those memberships are like fabletics and all
those like online. Yeah, oh they're so hard to cancel.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Well, here's the question. Will people take advantage of it? Absolutely?
I think so.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Oh my God, Yeah, you try to cancel. I try
canceled all the time, and I take the time because
I'm cheaper. Of course, you guys, I'll take the time.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
All right, let's go to Cat. Cat, you are a
caller twenty five. Do you know the keyword?
Speaker 14 (20:14):
Okay, subscription?
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Subscription is the keyword. So Cat, Now you've got yourself
a pair of tickets with the jingle Ball boom. You're
in site. You qualify for the jackpot, which means I'm
gonna win it. You're gonna win it, you're confident, but
you can get four front road tickets and a shot
at one hundred eight thousand dollars. So Cat, first of all, congratulations,
(20:38):
we're gonna see you at jingle Ball, and good luck
on the jackpot.
Speaker 15 (20:43):
Awesome, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Okay, well, very cool. Congratulations Cat.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
Eight ten is your next shot at the jingle Ball jackpot,
and it's shot at a lot of money, So a
ten for that. But right now, it is New Music
Friday World Premiere. First time you're gonna hear the entire
song new Bruno, Mars and Rose from Black Pink. The
song is called APT, which is short for Apartment. You
hear it first right here on Kiss Want to wait,
(21:07):
Billy and Lisa Wait.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Hey, guys, welcome back. It's the Big Friday Show. You know,
occasionally on the Billy and Lisa Morning Show, we'd like
to take you behind the music, and it so happens.
Today we are world premiering the new Bruno Mars Rose
song and justin you and I have discovered a bit
of a mashup. Not just us, our listeners as well.
Speaker 16 (21:28):
Hey, Metro, Wes, Mike here, Hey, this new song apartment
or aPTT sounds a lot similar to Hey, Mickey, You're
so fine, You're so fine, you blow my mind. I
don't know, it might be a little rip off there.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
Oh okay, well let's let's all right, so let's take
a listen here. So this is the original songs.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Crazy are you Gonna Do?
Speaker 6 (21:51):
Is just meet me at.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Okay? Now, let's take a listen to this Crazy are
you kind of okay?
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Okay, we discovered that justin we discovered I think we
just know that absolutely it's one hundred percent okay.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
But I'm going off the Ed Sharon theory. There's only
seven chords or something like every song sound a similar sound.
I don't care I'm gonna look it up if they
have any because sometimes they will credit, like if they
steal a song, you know, when he's gone.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Very very bad energy. Yeah, bad energy.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
I'm just saying this also sounds very Gwen Stefani to
that's another one too well.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
She did say she was inspired by the herod Juco
girls y is aging.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Yes, yeah, all, I'm saying DJ Costa, my nephew, if
you're listening in the clubs this weekend, do that mash
up and everybody's going to pack the dance. Let's say
that again, crazy, are you kind of okay? Okay, nicky Okay, Wow,
(23:04):
that's pretty good.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Anyway, you can hear that song all day on Kiss
went to Wait New Music Friday, Brand New Bruno Mars
and Rose from Black Pink.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
But right now, Lise, we're talking girls trips, yeah, girl,
the good, the bad, and the ugly. So if you've
been on one that went really well, we want to
hear from you. You know, a bachelorette party, even just
a mom's trip. I've been on them. They're so much fun.
But sometimes you can have the person that's not so
much fun.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
Right, Yeah, Well, you know there's different types of people,
different types of girls on girls trips. I mean, I've
never been on a girl's trip, but I definitely know
all these types.
Speaker 10 (23:40):
There are five girls on every girl's trip. The planner,
the partier, the complainer, the cheap one, and the one
who doesn't know where anything is. So like your trip,
love languages.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Trip love languages least which one are you? Okay?
Speaker 2 (23:55):
So sometimes I've been the planner, which makes sense, right, Yeah,
but I've also been the partier because I have to say,
girls trips, this is your time to get away, like
the kids aren't around, the husband's not around, So I
take it as an opportunity to like let loose and
there's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 5 (24:13):
And is there anything wrong with being both? I do
you help plan the trip and then once you go
on the trip, it's body time. Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Well said, there's usually one that's trays and then the
others are uncomfortable.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
You know.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Well, there's always the one that drinks a little too much.
Speaker 15 (24:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
I've never done that, but I'm just saying I enjoy myself.
So Winnie, what would you be? Okay? Well, this is
the thing is, I've never been on a girl's trip
with less than one girl more than one girl?
Speaker 3 (24:40):
A ya, I don't have one friend.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Well I did one time. I did two and that
was horrible and I was so I that was like,
I don't know. I was like right out of college,
I learned my lesson. So I only go with one
friend and I only travel with two really two friends
that I've tried. Josie my best friend. We talk all
the time. Her and I do trips the time, and
I feel like I initiate the planning and She'll be like,
(25:03):
oh them, WU, So I guess I'm the planner. But
when I also complain, So I mean I'm a complainers
and the complainer. Josie's the party.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
Yeah the deal. You are bad energy, but you own it,
you know, so just own it.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yeah, come in. Oh my god, I don't have five
girls I could go away with. I would literally do
anything else.
Speaker 10 (25:29):
In the world.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Like bachelorette parties.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
You're going with a big group and that's when all
of these people come out.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
An example, my sister got married. I didn't go to
the bachelorette party that Wow.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
Yeah you didn't know. I what how did you explain
it that you're not going?
Speaker 15 (25:49):
You care?
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Because she knows the bad energy would be coming along,
very very bad energy. Oh man, Well, the good news
is we're coming up on topic time and this this
is a great time.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Billy, I gotta ask you, who are you on the
girl trip?
Speaker 3 (26:06):
I'm not on the girl trip? Although what about guys trips?
Speaker 15 (26:09):
You know?
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Well, there's this I think the list is the same.
There's always going to be the guy that's complaining, the
guy that shows up late, the cheap.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Guy, right, the other guy that never puts his hand
in his pocket, right.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Billy guy, your friends at exit early, I.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Do there's always one that leaves the pack early. Okay,
Topic time, give us your stories good to our bad.
We'll take them six one, seven, nine three. Way justin
how did you get to your talkback? Mike?
Speaker 5 (26:35):
Yeah, the easiest way is the only way actually is
the iHeart app. Just to have the red microphone and
record your message into your phone and we'll get put
right on the radio.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Topic time is nexte. What is the topic today we're
going to be talking about. Billy and Lisa present Topic time,
Talk amongst yourselves. Topic time, Yeah, the topics, girl trips.
We've heard some good stories already, good or bad, we're
talking about girl trips. If you want to get us
a bus six one seven, nine, three one one one eighth.
(27:07):
Lisa a couple of minutes ago, was telling about her
girl trips, most of them good but occasionally a little odd.
But justin what have you got?
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (27:14):
No, I was gonna say, we had this this clip
of you know, the different types of girls on girls trips,
you know, the complainer and so on.
Speaker 10 (27:22):
Five girls on every girl's trip, the planner, the partier,
the complainer, the cheap one, and the one who doesn't
know where anything is. So like your trip love language is.
Speaker 14 (27:34):
I love this.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
It's funny, but that's the way it always lands, right, Lisa,
I mean totally a mix of everything.
Speaker 6 (27:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
And you know when we heard this, I mean us
think about you know, anytime we talk about weddings and
ridesmaids and bachelorette parties, we always get so many calls
about these trips.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
You know, Well we've got Chandler on the phone. So Chandler,
what have you got for us?
Speaker 6 (27:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (27:57):
So I haven't done a girl trip, but my wife
she does girl trips. And when I travel with her,
she's the worst traveling companion. She never likes the pillow
in the hotel. There's too much light in the in
the hotel room for the people making too much noises.
She forgets her TV, her toothbrush. She's miserable to travel with.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Okay, Chandler, there you go.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Okay, Well she's the complainer.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Yeah, and he's the loving husband.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
Goes on the radio and blast her. Well, Billy knows
a good complainer, right, you were. You were married to
one for a lot of years.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Excuse me, now, no, no, no, See this isn't tall
and not merely I'm not fine.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
I need a ton of eyed tall like f and
a tall glass, tiny.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Bit of doers and a bucking a club fella. Yeah,
thank you. Okay, she was a little picky. Go to
Jen calling in from dan Ver's. Good morning, Jen, good morning.
Speaker 6 (29:05):
Come on, I'm calling about Guag Girls weekend weekend for girls.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (29:11):
We travel every year and do a girl's trip.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
And where do you go? And how's it go?
Speaker 6 (29:16):
We head to North Conway. It's bath roads only and champagne.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Okay, how many girls go?
Speaker 6 (29:23):
There's at least four of us that are the board members,
so we pick who gets to come each year and
we rotate like at most eight or ten.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Literally you only wear bathrooms sometimes.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Oh what do you do up there in North Conway? Yeah?
Do you go tube?
Speaker 6 (29:41):
We sit around? No, we sit around, go in the
hot tub, drink. And it's a different theme every year too.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
What do you mean it's a different scene them all themes.
They have themes. What was last year's theme or this year?
Speaker 6 (29:55):
This year is? This year is going to be guag mixtape.
So you'd have to dross off as who you're going
to perform as because we also do karaoke.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Oh wow, can you go in the winter, yes, the last.
Speaker 6 (30:09):
Week of January.
Speaker 5 (30:11):
Oh so they have the hot tub probably in the
airbnb right, yes, yeah, And how do you guys.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
All know each other?
Speaker 1 (30:18):
College and family?
Speaker 3 (30:20):
So did you say you decide as board members who
gets to go year to year? Yes, we do.
Speaker 6 (30:27):
So we don't want the complainers. We're the partiers.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Oh they're all parties. Yeah, they don't want the bad energy.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Yeah yeah, anyone get a little too sloppy there, Jen
probably mean yeah, yeah, I could see that.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Fall in the hot tub should be like so, Jun
I didn't want you to come to the board. Voted
against my decision.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
That's what happens sometimes, you know, a couple of drinks
and everybody starts complaining and yelling. Ye, I don't know
who invited you anyway, I never wanted you. I mean,
nobody likes you. Oh God. And then the next morning
it's very uncomfortable.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
And by the way, jennif there's any video of the
karaoke session, please send that along. Yes, we'd love to
see it anyway, thank you for the call.
Speaker 15 (31:11):
A group of our friends went to Nashville for our
best friend's bachelorette party, and on the very first day,
someone thought that it would be a really good idea
to take those motorized scooters to get around town. And
long story short, I ended up going way too fast,
did the death wobble and scraped both of my knees,
(31:31):
got road rash, and roomed the entire trip.
Speaker 14 (31:33):
For me.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
That happens so frequently, especially in Bermuda. People go to Bermuda,
you're driving on the other side of the street and
you decide to get the scooters and you get into
the death wobble.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
Yeah, it happened on Martha's Vinyard. To me, as soon
as you get off the ferry in Martha's vinyard. They're
all right there trying the scooters I got on. I
never drove one. My wife and I would drive it
do in the wabble crazy.
Speaker 9 (31:58):
I have a girl's trip story for you. My work
bestie and I went to Sedona, Arizona for a week.
We also booked an overnight at the Grand Canyon. While
at the Grand Canyon, I had a quote unquote medical emergency.
So three inmblances later, I'm in Flagstaff at the hospital
and she booked a hotel for the night in flag Staff.
(32:19):
So for one night we had three hotels.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
So that was a great time. All is well and expensive. Yeah,
I wonder what the medical emergency was, though she didn't
specify that out.
Speaker 9 (32:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (32:31):
Can.
Speaker 13 (32:31):
I was a monster on a girl's trip with my
three daughters. Went out to celebrate my birthday. Stayed in
Beverly Hills, but the bulk of the trip was all
my daughter's dome. It was a work trip. We were
threatened with our lives. Don't say anything, keep a little profile.
You're not supposed to be here. I can't keep my
yapp or shut. She's like, Mom, don't say a word,
don't just keep a little profile. Well, that night at
(32:52):
her big mixer dinner, the big cheese came over and said, Hey,
I met you mom in the elevated today. She's really nice.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Whoops, Oh, so the mom saw someone. Oh my god,
I'm here with her.
Speaker 5 (33:05):
That's that's my mother in law lives downstairs for me.
Nanny who I love dearly. But that's her. You know,
she tells everybody where I were, everybody he should have.
I mean, she's she's a celebrity in her mind.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, this is Nanny.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
She went to Janet Jackson.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
I got a ticket to Janet at the Garden and
she was taking selfies with with fans of the show.
She was like, I'm Nanny from the Billy and Lisa
show taking selfies.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
It was amazing. And didn't her boyfriend leave the garden
concert one night to go get a six pack across
the street.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
That was several years ago. I got a tickets to
comics come home and yeah, she she was with a guy.
I don't know it was her boyfriend, but you know,
he thought he could leave the Garden and go to
you know, go to Causeway Street and get a six
pack and come back in.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
So we came walking back with the bear and they're like.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Come on, buddy, I have to say I would love
nanny on it on a girl's trip.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Yeah, she's fun. She'll just be drinking her drinks until.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
You have to carry her out of the venue into
the car.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
Actually, we went to a wedding this past weekend, and
so the wedding we went to before this one, she
got plastered and we had to carry her out.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
So we told her no drinking at this wedding and
she behaved. Wow, really good. So she's a character.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
All these all these talking about the bridesmaids and bachelorette
parties and all that reminds me of the scene from Bridesmaids.
Oh I'll get food poisoned classics trying the wedding from
Yeah you got.
Speaker 15 (34:26):
Food poisoning from that restaurant, didn't you.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
No. I had the same thing that she had, and
I feel fine, Oh my okay, oh no, nothing's happening.
Oh my god. You know, I don't really care which
dress we get. It doesn't matter me. I just need
to get off this white car. Okay.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
No, not that everybody can go outside.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
Crazy.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
The wrap up nine to twenty five, we'll get to
more of your talkbacks and calls on this topic. And
don't forget eight ten this morning your next shot at
the jingle Ball jackpot Lotted dough on the line plus
sold out jingle Ball tickets.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Ten kiss, Want to wait?
Speaker 6 (35:01):
Billy and Lisa.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Kiss one O.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Eight. Hey, guys, welcome back to the Big Friday Show. Lisa,
you haven't talked about the book club in a while.
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Well, we have your book, You and Jenny.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Your cookbook will be featured on November fourteenth at joss
En Maine in Burlington, the Josson Main Store.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
That's a taste of Boston Billy and Jenny sixty chefs,
sixty recipes. The book. You can go to Amazon and
find it. But you're doing a fundraiser.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Tonight south Shore Health Moonlight and Miracles Gala at the
Weymouth Club. So over five hundred people are coming out
for this big gala raising a lot of money.
Speaker 5 (35:35):
Now, Lisa, do you feel any pressure having to perform,
you know, as well as Billy at a gala?
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Well, Billy hosted it last year. Oh my god, yeah,
Oh the pressure is hot. Oh of course, I'm like
a nervous rack.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Oh you'll be finally, but.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Whatever, I'll do the best.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
I live on the South Shore. We use that hospital.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
We've we've been to the emergency room there. We know
way the Weymouth club we love the Weymouth Clubs.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
So I'm actually doing one tonight at the Colonnade for
Impact Melanoma. Really, so we're out there raising money.
Speaker 9 (36:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
I covered Billy a Galla for Billy last year. I
was full of fair. I was so scared, you know,
big shoes to fill. I didn't come close to filling them.
But I think I did an okay job. But it
was a very fun event. So you'll do great, you know,
you at least and what you're doing one this weekend.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
I'm actually just going with my family Mike's five k.
It's in Milton. It's for substance abuse, so it raises
money to help patients and families are dealing with substance abuse.
One of my cousins passed away when I was ten
years ago, so it's a near and at our hearts,
so we will be there. I actually think this is
the last year. You can still sign up if you
want to go to the five k walk run. Yeah,
(36:41):
So it's a nice maybe it's a beautiful day to
do it.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Great, cause, yeah, beautiful weekend, you're going to break out
the blower justin.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
Yeah, I got to break out the Red Max blow
or I have a high powered blower for all the
leaves they're covering everywhere. And the thing about the all is,
you know, you got to keep up with it. You've
got to blow every weekend.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
And you know what we actually really do
Speaker 3 (37:07):
Keep clean
