today, and but they were cassetteplayers connected to them. So you know,
the kids were upset their watches andthings like that. So after practice,
right across the street from virgin Nasium, there was a Ganet guy gentlemen

but he called himself an entrepreneur.He really did so. After practice,
coach went and knocked on his doorand said, if you hear if
anybody trying to move my kid's stuffgot stolen today. This is true story,
Scott. He said, what happened, Coach? He said, our
kids. Somebody broke in and gotour kids stuff. He says, coach,

give me twenty four hours. CoachBeard's like, okay. Coach Beard
wasn't trying to say that he hadanything to do with it. He was
just saying he knew he was wellconnected and he may hear something to somebody
trying to steal some of these things. He said, Coach, give me
twenty four hours. Scott. Thenext day, probably twelve o'clock, he
comes walking into Scott Coach Beard's office. Bag everything, Scott, every wallet,

every watch, every day were calledwalkman's at the time. That's what
those things were called, right everyone, He had them all. He says,
Coach, don't worry about it.You'll never have another problem here,
nor your kids. I like whatyou're trying to do here, Scott.

would not interview. He'd have ajob. There'd be an announcement, there

wouldn't be an interview process. Butprofessionally, I mean Bill Belichick is going
to interview so interested in Scott interesting. That's and he's interviewed with Atlanta.

carousel this year is going to bethe craziest thing in the NFL ever,

he can coach his butt off,Okay, I mean he's He's gone
to the Super Bowl with the fortynine ers, won a National championship with
Michigan, and so he can hecan get it done. So he's a
guy that knows how to get themost out of his players. From a

coaching perspective, he definitely knows howto get it done right now, from
recruiting and everything else and bending andbending the rules and all those things.
Now that's a different story, butfrom the just the type of coach that
you want to have run your programand get the most out of your guys.

Like he's that guy. He's thatguy everyone that they say the players
really enjoy playing for him. He'sbully ball football coach. He loves the
smash mouth. He wants to bebig and strong. He's been successful that
way with the Niners. He's oneof the few guys that have been able
to coach professionals. I told peopleand been really very rare about it,

very rare in football, I mean, and be successful, go to a
super Bowl with the Niners. Dida great job there, and then because
I'm Amada, Michigan to a championship, a national championship, Bud Scott,
but there's a huge but I mean, I'm just sorry. I don't know
if we got long enough to talkabout it, but we do, Scott.
When you say, Jim Harball andI read yesterday Yahoo Sports, Dan

Wexel put out a story. Ifwe believe it or not, I'm not
saying it's legitimate. I don't knowit if it's legitimate or not. But
Dan's a fairly reputable sports writer.Wouldn't you agree his information is usually right.

They are. And if you allremember three years ago, Harbo took a
decrease in pay to keep the Michiganjob. They wanted to let him go.

now they're back in the negotiating tablesand he says that they're trying none.
That they're trying. His lawyer andJim are trying to put in language in

got his notoriety, and he's goingto bounce to the NFL before he

as NCAA coaches with the rules.We should have all achieved. There should

then find out truly who are thebetter coaches, because all I'm saying is
this guy, if you have anadvantage and you use that advantage, then

you're gonna have an opportunity to bea better coach. And Rex Ryan said
it best. We were talking aboutthe Cowboys, which we're going to get
to after this break. Rex Ryansaid, don't forget Bill Belichick without Tom
Brady has won like thirteen or fourteenregular season games in three years. I
could be off with my total,but everyone understands he hasn't won a lot
