This This Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Now here's Matt Jones.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Alright, good morning, Lady Galvin, Boys and girls. Matthew Harper
Jones is still somewhere over in Spain or somewhere in Europe.

Speaker 5 (00:44):
I saw he was a more soccer, more football, but
I don't know where it was.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
He was at an empty soccer field, but he said
that fails in comparison to one like he's been in
these folk soccer fields. That's been like crazy. So look
forward to hearing off his story as we come back.
Ryan Levan, Drew Franklin, Shannon de do here join Young
Kentucky's Sports Radio. It is Wednesday, July twenty fourth, fourth fourth,
so Matt will be back in about a week and

(01:07):
a half. Monday, August fifth is his first day back
on the air. We got about a week and a
half shows to go for you. As always, taxs Ports
Real responsored by the TJ Smith's off. It's called TJ
what happens Shannon. He'll make them pay, He'll make you pay.
We'll have our Don Franklin Call the Day. We'll have
our Kentucky branded tweet or text of the day, our
Whiskey Thief song of the Day, and the Avision Glass
text machine is five zero two seven three, five three

(01:31):
six eight.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
I've got super Mario here to join us for this
first segment because both of you guys were down at
Rupparena last night for the TBT LA familiar big win
last night. How was that?

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Yeah? So much fun. This body is running on fumes,
but the excitement of TBT has been powering me through everything.
Once again, that was so much fun last night. I
was a little late getting there. I got there right
before halftime, so I missed the beginning. It was still
everything that was good. I mean Aaron Harris hitting threes,
and rub we got a James Young game winner. I

(02:04):
can't believe more people aren't embracing it was a good crowd,
but I still think there should be some people getting
behind this. This has been so much fun for the
summer basketball.

Speaker 6 (02:11):
My question is, Drew, where was the suit?

Speaker 7 (02:13):
I didn't see the suit, you know, I just posted
a picture on Twitter and it just came back to me.

Speaker 6 (02:18):
I was like, Drew was supposed to show up with
a suit. Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Well, Abby and I we it was a little warm.
My suit was a little little woolish. Yeah, eighty something
degrees outside. So we're walking the roup and I'm sweating
through it. So we actually changed in the parking lot.
If anyone looked outside Repper in it, you might have
seen us changing clothes. But I decided to go with
shorts and a T shirt. Glad I did. But, like
I said, another fun night and they're moving on that hurt.

(02:41):
That was one of the big teams in the conference.
They were actually the home team last night.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, they were the number one seed.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Yeah, and Kentucky destroyed them.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Well they yeah, they went by almost thirty points.

Speaker 7 (02:49):
Yes, and it didn't feel like it because there was
a whole bunch of trash talking going on. You would
think the Marshall guys would stop trash talking. Yeah, they
were just trash talking the whole way through. And they
were down by twenty, still trash talking. So that's what
really was going on. It was a whole lot of
trash talking.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Well, they hit what fourteen threes Kentucky did last night?
I mean, how awesome is that for the fans sitting
there watching the game.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
The Harrison's going back to back with threes. Really as
much as you can take the roof off the place
with the crowd there, I'm not hitting on the crowd.
The lower bowl was pretty full, But it was just
I didn't realize how much I needed this tournament I've
kept up with in the past. I mean I was
looking at pictures. There was a year Boogie was on
the team in here and we did this show yep,
and I went to the games, but it was nothing

(03:30):
like that what this team has been. Maybe it's filling
a little bit of basketball sadness, a little void in my.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
Life, a lot of threes. Nate Sistina hit a logo
three at one point.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Oh Wow.

Speaker 7 (03:41):
I mean, Repperino was so loud it was it was incredible.
You had celebrity appearances. Mark Pope showed up, Jasper Johnson.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Yes, Harrow, Vince Merrow, Rono, Marcus Lee fresh off his marriage,
Todd Lander fresh off his wedding. The Mark Pope came
in with his three daughters, three of the four daughters right,
and I saw the video. They marched them right from
the middle of the floor. That's not by accident, that
was by design. They kind of march him across the

(04:08):
floor in the middle right to go to his seat.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
He had a Lot Familiar custom made jersey.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
On I say, had Pope forty one on the back,
didn't that's all that.

Speaker 7 (04:15):
Yes, And he even even made a halftime speech, did
a halftime speech for the guys during halftimes. I didn't
see that, said a little bit of a prayer and
then they did a little halftime speech and raj Rondo
was also back there. So it's just cool seeing that
the different generations all come together for Lot Familiar.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Now, so what's what's next? They have to play the
winner of the Louisville Games. Louisville and who some generic
name we don't care. We just want Louisville, right, letters
d r C.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
I think they're playing the DNC, the Democratic National Provission
something like that. It's some letters, But I'm you know,
I wanted Louisville to lose the other night, and they
should have. They definitely cheated. Let's not get lost in that.
Home cooking is why they're still in the tournament. But
now that it's in front of us, I want Louisville
to win. I want to beat Love and the best
part of that is the people on Louisville's team. What
they did in their careers was they lost to Kentucky

(05:02):
and we can give them one more l y'all want
to pack your little freedom haul and pretend you're a
basketball city once again, that's fine, We'll drive over and
whoop you one more time. So I'm actually rooting for
Louisville tonight because I've missed Willie cauley Stein putting montrees
on the ground and staring him down. I've missed Tyler
you listen Louisville with a little blood down his eye,
which I'm having a custom T shirt made to where
if they win tonight. So I went from want Louisville

(05:25):
to lose to now, I hope they win so they
can set up that game.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I mean, it puts Kentucky fans in a weird situation
if we're actually pulling for Louisville to win tonight, Mario.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
We want them to win so we can beat them.
We want them to win.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
So you want to pick them up just to knock
them back down.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
If if Louisville does win, that game will be in Louisville. Yes,
it's based on tickets. Hel they've sold more tickets, tickets
than well.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
Let's not give them credit. They they treat this like
it's the Final Four. They don't have real basketball so
so this this is their NCAA tournament. That's why they're
so excited. They they haven't seen basketball wins in years,
so it's kind of not a fair fight. Where us,
we got a lot of people on summer vacation, you know,
we just had Oma Hall, We got a lot of
good things going on in Lexidon. But they this is
all they have. So they've embraced it a little more

(06:08):
with the ticket sales, which is why they're hosting. But
that's fine.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Let's but if Louisville loses, would Kentucky host it.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
I believe, so I'm not.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
I'm not certain, not one hundred sure, but yeah, that's
most likely.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
When when when it would this game be? When is
this game potentially set it? To me?

Speaker 5 (06:24):
I think they wait and see who advances and they
set times on it. But Monday, Monday Tuesday is where
they have the next run.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Monday Tuesday of next week. And then so that's the
Elite eight. You win that one, then you go to
the final four in Philadelphi. Okay, now you guys had
quite the discussion. Let's just play it out. Kentucky beats Louisville.
They go to the final four in Philly. It's the
day after Matt shows up back on the radio. Do
you are you guys going? Can you convince him to
let you go?

Speaker 5 (06:47):
You have to. I told Mario last night. I was like,
I'll pay, we'll ride together if they were to.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
We can't.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
We can't quit on them. Now we've been at every
minute of the like, this is this is my ticket.
This might be my favorite sports team ever. Sorry Titans
Braves UK, I think Low Familia is my favorite Spories team.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Well, this whole lot of me thing comes at the
perfect time, got the momentum with Pope being here and rallying,
you know, the fan base, getting them all back on
the same page, all feeling like we're part of it again.
Then you bring all these old guys back and we
all fall in love with them beginnings Like it's almost
it's like a perfect storm.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Way it's happened, and it's answering a lot of the
questions that a lot of fans have had.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
So these guys are gonna stick with cal Are they
gonna root?

Speaker 4 (07:28):
You know?

Speaker 7 (07:28):
Are they still gonna show their love for Kentucky. Here's
your answer. They're actually showing up for Kentucky. They're they're
playing for Kentucky. That's why I want to see BBN
show up more. You know, Drew talked about it last night.
Great atmosphere, but I know that BBN can take it
to another level.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
And what you don't see on the broadcast is when
the game ends, the players are just in the crowd,
sign and autographs, taking Selfie's security is trying to get
them to go to the locker room. They're like, no,
we're hanging out with UK fans. And that's what I
really didn't expect, not that these guys don't love the fans,
but you know, I'm sure those knees are hurting, those
backs are hurting. It's a little different sphere than it
was when they were in college. But they will not

(08:02):
go to the back, and so they've met about everyone
there can.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Okay, so let's just let's just play a little scenario out.
Louisville wins. They're hosting Kentucky next Monday at Freedom Hall.
John Cayler Perry shows up to root on the Law
Familia team. I don't think that will happen, but he
wouldn't come to RUP, but he may come to Freedom Hall.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
The more the merrier, we're gonna need fans there if
that's where they have to play. And we were not
turning Cal down. They're his guys. He can show up.
We'll take anybody now.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Cale doesn't sit in the front row though. You gotta
put him like row ten. Yeah, you know, Pope gets
front row. Cal gets like row ten behind in the back.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
And Ulyss is the best coach in the building. He
has tripled our tournament wins since three times, the wins
that John Caliperry heads in twenty twenty in the Wow
And how about last night. You know, James Young not
in tip top shape. You know, these guys are on
the end of their careers. The older ones, yep, hadn't
scored a lot in the tournament. But then, just like
Wichita State, they need a bucket. He might have forgotten

(08:59):
the play, I don't know, but he just took a three.
He was defended, and you get a James Young game
winner that took us back to Wichau State a little bit. Uh,
It's just it's nostalgia we didn't know we really needed.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Now, Shannon, I heard you on the pre show saying,
if you hit the game winning Elam's shot, you get
a thousand dollars. Is that right?

Speaker 2 (09:16):
You have to have the Puma shoes on, though, if
you're not wearing the Puma shoes, you don't get the
thousand dollars because it's sponsored by Puma. So I was
just saying, if I didn't have my Puma shoes on
and I knew that potential game winning shot was coming up,
I'd be saying, Hey, somebody on the sideline, throw those
shoes out here real quick. Let me switch those on.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Yeah. I had to call time out and put the Puma.
Everybody put Puma's on.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Once they set the target score, the whole team should change.
Speaking of shoes, Devin Booker couldn't be here. He's a
little busy, something called the Olympics coming up. But he
has uh, he's got his own signature shoe out of
the books.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Books.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
He spent the whole team the book ones, including Sewn Woods,
walking around Big Bock coaches, everyone got him. So another
you know, a guy that probably wants to be here,
couldn't be here. So if you hook up the team.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
How cool is that? Yeah, he sends everyone, sends everybody
some of his own shoes because he wants to feel
a part of it too. I think, like Mario what
you said, it's like these guys there, they want to
come back because they feel that love. And you can
talk about going out and getting the autographs from the fans,
getting autograss pictures and things.

Speaker 7 (10:11):
Yes, it's almost last night was almost like a This
whole tournament's like a time machine. I'll tell Drew, like
we're in a time machine where we got guys from
different errors coming together just to you know whether, Yeah,
Tyler lewis being the coach. Yeah, Eric Bledsoe's a lot older.
It doesn't matter. Everybody's coming together for one purpose. It's
like a toime machine.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
And I don't know if this was insulting, but a
couple guys have been like, you're still here, and I'm like, yeah,
right where you left me right here, welcome back.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
So we couldn't potentially see another Willie Montrez Harrold next Monday.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
Bring it, stare him down, Little Peyton Siva.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
We got a good show for you today. Drew's got
a surprise. He's going to give us here in a
little bit gift. Brought me a gift about that. It's
a surprise. I got a couple guys here from Lexing
and one of thems got the he Hall shirt on,
and that is a great shirt right there, the he
Hauled Donkey on his shirt. Will's here, tenth reaching guy,
Paul's here, and Phoenix is here. He's been up since
three forty five in the morning to go interview a

(11:06):
UK women's assistant basketball coach here at Kentucky working Listen.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
If you're not following Phoenix, what is it? P stevens
KSR on Twitter. He is covering women's basketball for us.
He's pretty new to the beat. But he jumped right
in with the Kenny Brooks era, and there's no one
covering that team better than Phoenix.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
Left McLean County at three forty five this morning, their
time to get here in time to interview the coach,
and then came here for it. So Phoenix, Yes, shout
out Phoenix. Work there, We got work all right. Well
take our break, Shan, you got that buzzer ready. We
haven't had a buzzer show.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Also, you want to do that.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Let's do the buzzer today.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Okay, I'll have to dig it out. I think he's
got a lot of dust on it. I have to
dust it off.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
How many seconds we're gonna give him twenty?

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Like twenty or fifteen?

Speaker 5 (11:47):
How about a uh, if you're from Wolf County you
get longer. Though.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
That's a good idea because we need a little help,
which it is Wolf County days.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
I said at the end of the show just as
we went off and couldn't correct myself.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Okay, that's all right, So we got Wolf County coming
up later. So yeah, let's do a twenty second shot clock.
But if you're a Wolf County, wow, that's the one
that's not on.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
See, I've got to dust it off.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
It's been all summer we've used it.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Also, I'm making different sounds now.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Wolf County that We'll let you talk as long as
you want, so we'll get to that. At eleven o'clock.
We'll do our Wolf County.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
Stuff, right host the whole Wolf County segment.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Well, no, you guys have to help Don Franklin call
the day eight five nine two eight oh two two
eight seven. That's the Clarks Puppy Shop. Phone them. We're
right back, Ryan Drew, Shannon super Mario here on Kentucky's
Sports Radio. There it is there, It is all right,
Welcome back Kentucky Sports Radio. Ryan Drew, Shannon super Mario Here.
Mario was at the TBT Championship Region Championship game last night.

(12:39):
Uh but Shannon, you remember at the end of the
show yesterday in Mount Sterling. By the way, big shout
out to the folks in Mount Sterling. That was a
good show, that fun. They totally took care of us.
Got lunch afterwards shop at Irish Hills Wink wink good stuff.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Very very good.

Speaker 8 (12:55):
I was.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
They were a great hosts yesterday. I mean, we love
going to all of our remotes for that that had
a lot going on. Yeah, I did people a lot
of food, golf simulator for that.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Well, if you guys know, Drew had to be at
one o'clock at the UK men's basketball interviews and again
Mount Sterling to brother Craft Centers, probably forty five minutes.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
When we were leaving, when we were packing up the equipment,
I punched it in ways. Yeah, and it said if
I left at that second, i'd get there at twelve
fifty five.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
Well, then we didn't. We had to wait on our lunch.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
Yeah. I almost left you, to be honest, he almost did.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Now, like I said, it was worth the wait was great.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
Yeah, after trying the lunch, I would have picked that
over the basketball interviews.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
So Drew Channon is maybe breaking a few traffic laws trying.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
To I wouldn't admit that.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
He buckled up, put his phone down, and then the
phone down. So the question we all want to know,
did you make it on time? Because you had first first,
Marri I had to drop you an.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Eye off our car, Dad had to get the kids home, yes,
and get over to see.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
And when you dropped us off, I think you had
fourteen minutes and you were on the complete east side
of town and you had to get to downtown to
the Craft Center. Did you make it?

Speaker 5 (14:05):
I went to open the door to the Joe Craft
Center at exactly one oh one, which to me at
basketball interviews is about thirty minutes early. Uh, and the
door was locked. They had already started. I was a
minute late, so I gave yeah, I could see in
there and they're already going, so I gave a little
little tamp. Someone came and got the door, and I
couldn't help but laugh. This was a fellow media member.

(14:27):
No one with UK, but they said John Calipari overs
John Caliperi area is over Bud. We start on time,
walked on and then someone else said, you gotta get
used to this one o'clock at one o'clock so it's
a little different era over there. But I did make
it in time. We talked to Colin Chandler. Yes, I
started with him, Okay, first time meeting him. I want

(14:49):
more interviews with that dude. I mean, even though he's
a freshman, you ask him one question, he talks for
four minutes. That's just unique for someone coming to campus
first interviews. They're usually a little timid. I was just
fascinated with everything he had to say about what he
was doing overseas or in down his mission. Even said
he took an inflatable basketball he blew up so he
could dribble. I guess when he was in Sierra Lone,

(15:10):
Sierra Leone, he couldn't find anywhere to hoop anywhere, but
when he was in England he would occasionally get some
shots up. But I was just hearing about how he's,
you know, getting back acclimated with things. Sounds like that's
going well. And then Lamont Butler really enjoyed talking to him.
He's it's just talking season right now, but we've all
heard how he stepped up as a leader and how
good he looks in practice. He mentioned he missed a

(15:32):
little bit with the toe injury. I don't think that
was out there. He didn't play in the practice with
lat Familia. He did confirm they won by a seventeen.
But it was just really great talking to him. It's
clear he's he's the leader. He's the guy.

Speaker 9 (15:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
I and Jackson Robins and Jackson wasn't there, but well,
mot Butther was just talking about how he's going out
of his way to be a vocal guy early on
having the tournament experience and all that. He also talked
about Travis Perry and confirmed that Travis Perry did hit
fifty nine consecutive three pointers from the left corner.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
How about that?

Speaker 4 (16:02):
That's insane.

Speaker 6 (16:03):
How about that that's a good sign.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
I don't know if I could hit fifty nine layups
in a row.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
You can't, I know.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
And then moments after that the UK this was a
tweet that's been deleted. I don't know why they deleted,
but I saw it, so I'm gonna talk about it.
They that Noah's shooting system on the wall. Yeah, that
keeps track of you know, where it hit the rim?
Where what was your art? You know all that. They
said in back to Back days, Travis Perry went one
hundred for one hundred from the free throw line in
ninety percent from three. I mean, this is just open,

(16:30):
you know, shooting drills. But one hundred for one hundred
is that's pretty good run. I didn't miss a free
throw ninety from three. That's insane shooting. And then they
show like, I don't know if you have seen that system.
It's just got the little chart and it shows where
the ball is going through and if it's in the
right spot in the green, or might little orange farther
out in red, it's just like you hit them in
the middle every time. It's just it's a green dot

(16:50):
in the middle of the rim.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
I like what I'm hearing. I'm like what I'm hearing.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
You know, that's why those people who think Travis Perry
not gonna play at Kentucky, they don't know this kid man.
They don't realize how good of a shoot. He's a scorer,
and he's a hard worker, and he's a coaches kid,
so he's smart. I can't wait to watch him play.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
And there's been a few other player interviews. We're gonna
have more tomorrow. But anytime you bring up like who's
really standing out, you know, on a team of all
these guys that have already played college basketball by a
bunch of big names, a lot of them will go
straight to Travis Perry about how well he shoots the ball.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Well, you know, it's about this time last year we
started hearing little rumblings that people thought Reed Shepherd is
gonna come off the Ben's like, oh no, Reid's gonna play.
I remember a guy told me like Oh no, you
don't understand. Reid's gonna play and play a lot. I
think it was his exact quote. And look what they
kind of see it, I think right now.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
So I think Jeff Drumming. Someone that was there with
me asking questions, asked, you know, who's one of the
better shooters? You know, what's it like? Who are you
kicking it to?

Speaker 4 (17:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (17:43):
And La, my brother's like the whole team. All of
them can shoot. I'm feeding all of them if they're open.

Speaker 7 (17:48):
Funny story, since you were even on that subject last year,
Antonio Reeves.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
This was in July.

Speaker 7 (17:57):
I talked to Antonio Reeves and I said, how's the freshman?

Speaker 6 (18:00):
How do they look? Is anybody that really stands out
to you? Read Shepherd? Real deal?

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Yeah, so this is early.

Speaker 6 (18:08):
We're starting to see that same pattern with Travis Pearry.

Speaker 7 (18:10):
So I'm not saying he's gonna be the next Reed Shepherd,
but maybe he's gonna have a big year like Read Shepherd.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
What about did you Trenton?

Speaker 1 (18:17):
No?

Speaker 4 (18:17):
When did you get talked to him? Yesterday?

Speaker 5 (18:18):
No?

Speaker 7 (18:18):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (18:19):
Brandon Garrison was the other one.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
I only had a minute or two with him because
I spent I looked up and you know, I'd been
with the other two guys ten minutes each. You don't
have all the all afternoon, but I mostly talked to
him about TBT. He's talking about going back. Last night
he was there again, Uh, the big piece of news
with his interviews. He admitted what was already everyone kind
of knew. But he committed to Kentucky like Mona's Arkansas,
but like he just he knew on the Arkansas office

(18:43):
where he wanted to go. Then as soon as the
vision was done, committed to Kentucky. That was already kind
of the timeline looked that way. But he talked a
little bit about that.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
Yeah, he was at Like a lot of the players
were there last night again for the TVD Championship. I
saw I think maybe in you tweeted something about Andrew
Carr was up standing up here in the whole time.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
Uh. I liked to think that Mario and I are
the two biggest TVT fans play Andrew Carr. He's up
there too, He's on his feet clapping.

Speaker 10 (19:07):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
Who else to see the longbawler Colin Chandler. I mean
most of them were there. I would say, looked about
it and be about the whole team team.

Speaker 6 (19:14):
Speaking of TBT, I got some TBT news.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Oh, let's do it.

Speaker 7 (19:17):
So it's just been confirmed that if Louisville loses their game, yeah,
it will be at Rapperena. It will be at right,
will be at Rapparina next Monday or Tuesdayesday.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
So now do I want to lose as much as
I want to?

Speaker 8 (19:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (19:29):
I don't know, Drew.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
What we think sounds like a win win situation. Really,
we either host the DNC here in Reparina or we
go to Freedom Hall and just beat Louisville and Louisville again.

Speaker 6 (19:38):
I kind of want to go to Freedom Hall.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
I don't know something. It smells really bad in there.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Is there any chance they would move it to the
Ump Center If the crowd of the ticket sales are big,
you think it definitely be all down.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
The Young Center doesn't want to see Louisville basketball. The
Youum Center needs a break from Louisville basketball. Let the
Young Center enjoy it summer before it has to bring
in astronaut Pat Kelsey this fall and start it all
over again.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Two to eighty seven. That is our Clarks puppy shop phoneer.
If you want to call and get on board. We've
you know, we talked a lot of football yesterday, but
it's kind of nice now we got some basketball. It's
like this summer's kind of been a little of both,
whereas we're not so much focused on one thing, and
it's kind of it kind of feels good to talk
about basketball right now. You know, last last couple of
years in the summer's kind of been we had a
bad taste in our mouth when it comes to talking basketball.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Yeah, and it was Lasagna and we were moving in silence.
We weren't having any interviews or anything. It was just like,
let's hide uh in the team, Like this is normally
a slow season regardless, but this between baseball team going
all the way to Omaha, you had Kenny Brooks, Pope
crazy now the TBT right in the middle of summer,
where we usually don't have anything. This has been a
much busier offseason, and you know, football is kind of

(20:43):
slid under the radar because it's coming out. We'd be
focusing on fall camp next week if we didn't have
James Young hitting game ending shots down the street.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Yeah, that's all we talked about yesterday. Football's kind of
been It's kind of been quiet here during the summer.
But I think that's way Mark Stuke wants it.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Or prefer it.

Speaker 9 (20:57):
Now.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
Vincey had best seat in the house last night, Vince
did and being quiet, Vince was down there courtside Spike
Lee seats. But that's what Vince does.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
But that's what's so cool about Vince.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
Though.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
He's gonna go support. He went to the baseball game,
you know, and then regional tournaments. He's going to watch
the TV team team play. That's where eybody loves Vince.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
And I got caught in a moment where I said
hot to Vince and then someone handed me their camera
to take a picture of them. And then I'm like, oh,
I just got caned to. I'm Vince's photo. Got your photo,
guys here because he was also very popular with the fans.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Y eight two seven after a car to pumping shop
phone number and Shann we got any calls right now?

Speaker 2 (21:28):
No lines are open. I think everybody's scared afraid of
my my buzzer. I think that's what's going on.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
They don't want to get buzzed.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
That's the good part though. I love it when Shannon
has the buzzer. So, uh uh, Wolf County, Calso been
kind of slow this summer. You know, the usually are
in the summer, and then Matt since MAT's not being
been a little slow. But yeah, we need some calls.
We'll get to a lot of calls from the next
segment as much as we can. I did see something
that thought made me think of you last night, Shannon. Yeah,
you know the the shark problem down in Florida. Yeah,
all up and down the Florida Panhandle. Well, now Florida's

(21:57):
facing another big problem. Like there's like sinkholes. Oh wow,
from like the east coast to the west coast, like
from Daytona Beach to Tampa, like like twenty seven thousand,
really twenty seven thousand sinkholes.

Speaker 6 (22:13):
Sinkholes.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Sinkholes were like people opening other people are losing their
car like in their neighborhood news.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
Like a lot of it seemed to be around the
Orlando area, like the kind of central Florida.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
Out central Florida, it's my area.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Will google it and it'll scare you. Twenty seven thousand
sinkholes I think in that stretch from coast to coast
in Florida. Just makes you wonder what is going on
in Chan with the with the sharks and now the
sink hole.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
I thought you were gonna tell me about another story
that I saw about sharks. I think it was down
in Brazil where sharks got a hold of a bunch
of cocaine. And now we have cocaine raging sharks that
are swimming around. Have you thought that sharks were scary
as it was at a little cocaine.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Now we got coked up sharks swimming around.

Speaker 4 (22:53):
At cocaine bear. Yeah, we got cocaine shark. Cocaine shark.
Do you ever watch cocaine Bear?

Speaker 5 (22:57):
I did you got the T shirt?

Speaker 4 (22:59):
Goodbye?

Speaker 3 (23:01):
TJ Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ. He'll make them pay.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Here's Matt Jones.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
You've got the cocaine bear here in Lexington stuffed and
now cocaine sharks down in What do you say it
was Shannon, Mexico?

Speaker 3 (23:16):
I think, yeah, well Mexico or maybe Brazil.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I don't know, but yeah, I guess they're drug testing
the almost in the ocean.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
Now it's wild story.

Speaker 10 (23:25):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Eight two two eight seven. That's our Clark's pumpish off
phone number. We got the buzzer ready, you got twenty seconds,
so Shannon, who's our first caller?

Speaker 3 (23:31):
All right, let's go to Andy.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Andy. You got twenty seconds? Andy, yep?

Speaker 5 (23:37):
This me.

Speaker 10 (23:38):
Hey.

Speaker 8 (23:38):
Uh, if if you had three questions that you could
get answered in whether it be about your life for sports,
but it has to be like in the future, what
would those three questions be? And I'm not getting buzz
The only buzz I'm getting is one night at ks
Far Friday Night.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
I'm out.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
Friday Night. Andy has already requested front row seats for
the Alice Blue Gallon concert here at Chaos Bar and
Grill Friday night. Chance.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Hey, if he's not careful, we'll put them up there
on stage with us.

Speaker 5 (24:07):
Don't twice.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
So what three questions do you want to know about
the future?

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Well, that's deep.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
That is deep.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
I would like to know if the aliens are going
to show themselves while I'm still here or after I
am in the dirt, because if I if I know
they're coming, I'm gonna get excited and get prepared. So
that's one I would like for someone to tell me
at what point, uh they land and say hot to us.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
I know when when I was like Mario's age, well
a kid, everybody thought by this time we would have
cars that can fly, fly flying cars.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
We're on the wrong way. Our planes are barely flying
right now.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Good point. So I would have maybe want to say
we are we finally gonna get the flying cars that
we all thought for sure we were gonna have when
I was in high school.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
I'm guessing, speaking of cars, I'm guessing in the future
we'll have self driving cars. That's probably the next thing
that's up for the flying cars.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
Tom Hard said he took one.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
We already have them.

Speaker 5 (25:02):
Yeah, they're already here.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
It's here.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
How long do you think Kentucky Sports Radio lasts as
a radio show? You always want to know that for
the future.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
Great question.

Speaker 5 (25:11):
Yeah, I think you have a big impact on.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
That, mister Lemon.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yeah, we want to know how long Ryan's gonna stick.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
With this gig. I'm the youngest, I'm going to be
here as long as we're here.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
You and Mario can carry the tour.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
Excuse me, Mario is the youngest. Yeah?

Speaker 4 (25:27):
What about for sports? Questions like will Mark Pope win
a title as a head coach of Kentucky that might
be one.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Why is that because if he's not, we can just
go ahead and get rid of him now.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
Well, good point.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Will Mark Stoops get Kentucky football to the playoffs?

Speaker 5 (25:44):
Uh? Yeah, I feel like we might be wasting that question.
It might be just be you know, but that's that's
one we'll work.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
With, don't you.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yeah, say, don't you want to know like some some
deeper things like when you're gonna die?

Speaker 5 (25:56):
Yeah? I was gonna say that, what's how much time
do I have?

Speaker 9 (25:59):
No?

Speaker 4 (25:59):
I don't want to know that. I don't want to know. Yeah,
I don't. I don't want to know when that's happening. Yeah,
just live life every day man, and be happy.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
But if you knew, you could really get after it.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
But then you're like dreading it. You're like, you know
that day's coming, as it gets closer to that final week,
it's awful. It'd be awful.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
I would prefer that the answer be longer than ten
more days. But if you didn't know, I mean, think
of all the things you'd want to work in, all
the people you'd want to see have these last moments
with people. You'd have a long checklist to get to do.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Any of you guys want to ask about how many
kids you're going to have, because see I would ask
about grand kids coming in my age, I'm about to
get grandkids. You think about how many children am I
going to have? What are they going to be?

Speaker 5 (26:39):
Like? I mean, I feel like that's something that we
can all control. I'm like, I want to know secrets.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, like you can control how many kids you have?

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Well, are you ask.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
What's for lunch today?

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Like you're ed in this exercise, you get three questions
in the control Yeah, those are three questions.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
You get into the future and you just want to
know those types of things.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
Will we still exist as a planet?

Speaker 4 (27:04):
That's a good one.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
It's a deep question, man. Yeah, let's get the answers.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
Well, are sharks taking over the world right now?

Speaker 5 (27:10):
That's a good one. When will the cocaine sharks be here?
You got to get prepared.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
H eight two two eight seven Clark's puppy shop phone number.
Who's next, Brad? You got twenty seconds.

Speaker 9 (27:22):
I want to know. In the past, it will take
a coach three to four years before you can build
up in program. This year, basically, coach Pope has been
able to go through free agency to create the exact
team with the exact style he wants to play. How
excited for you are that? And the second question is
how do we bring back the thorough Blades?

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Oh, great question, love that you know what the thorough
Blades are, Mario. We had like a Triple A hockey
team in Reparna called the Kentucky thorough Blades, and they
played it up and it was so much fun. It
was awesome. We were the Triple A team for the
San Jose Sharks when was this late nineties early two thousands,
and they were good. They were very good. Yeah, they

(28:01):
won a championship. I think when you we had the
the Hershey Bears, was that was the name of our
big rival. H Did you used to go were you?
Were you in Lexington yet?

Speaker 5 (28:09):
I wasn't in Lexington yet. I never actually went to
a game, but I feel like I think my dad
went maybe brought me something that that logo and that
T shirt are incredible. Yeah, he was like the horse
on skates and stick and were they purple and green?

Speaker 4 (28:22):
It was awesome and they would get good crowds, but
it was cost so much to rent Rupp Arena. I
think they just couldn't financially keep the team here, so
they left. What was his first question? All about Mark
Pope getting three years to rebuild and in the fact
he's done it so quickly with the transfer portal. That's
the good thing part about the transfer portal. You don't

(28:43):
have to like start from nothing. You can go out
and get players. Pat Kelsey's done the same thing at Louisville,
and when you're starting over, you've got that option. Now
you can get players, Like he said, like free agency,
how did it a Darkansas?

Speaker 5 (28:53):
The game's changed. I mean, I know a lot of
people don't like it that way. I don't necessarily love
it either, But it's come down to how much money
got in the bank. That's how you build your roster.
Number one player in the country. I mean he's looking
at BYU. There's talks of like four or five million
for that guy.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Goodness, yeah, but.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
I mean who you no longer are talking about. Here's
what we have on campus, here's we're gonna fit in
at home. It's just where's my check? As long as
you agency. But that's why it's good to have a
coach that maybe isn't as good recruiting because they can
make up for it with the money. But when you
have them, they have a good system. Whereas other coaches

(29:33):
who are the best recruiters, the playing field much more
level because the tactics that we're using, that's out the window.
It's everybody's got money now, or at least that's how
they're recruiting.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
So do we get a little more? Is the honeymoon
a little shorter? Knowing that you can rebuild a team faster?
What do you mean for coaches like does does oh?

Speaker 5 (29:51):
You mean you can be quicker to.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
Yeah, kind of move on if after two years they're
stinking because they can't get anybody in the transfer portal.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
It certainly changed things. I mean if Kyle has left
four or five years ago and Pope stepped in with
one player, it would have been a long rebuild, right
If you'd have to get whatever freshmen are left, and
if you wanted transfers, they'd have to sit out a
year or you have to go get a grad transfer.
You couldn't do what he just did. Just go out
and get guys.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
That are able to play immediately, build the roster, build
the roster.

Speaker 7 (30:20):
Definitely agree, I have to say. Transfer portal changes a
lot of things, especially for Pope. Yeah, and new coaches.
You get to see. It's almost like a free agency
in the NBA. You go to wherever you want to
play for. You want to play for this type of coach,
you can go there.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
They can save the coach. Yes, you're saving somebody that
needs to go out against players, All right, Shanon eight five, nine,
two to eighty seven. Who's next? John, John? You got
twenty seconds go?

Speaker 5 (30:43):
Hey, guys, that's what I say.

Speaker 9 (30:44):
You're done great with the Sommer shows.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
That's been really entertaining.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
And I want to ask if you go to waffle house,
what is your top item to get at waffle house?

Speaker 6 (30:53):
Like, John, you're killing it, John, That's that's the best question.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
That is our Uh don Franklin call the day right there?
What's your go to at waffle house? You can go first?

Speaker 5 (31:04):
What is the what is it called the thing?

Speaker 6 (31:06):
The all start Special?

Speaker 4 (31:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (31:09):
Absolutely special?

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Really?

Speaker 6 (31:12):
I get the waffles.

Speaker 7 (31:13):
You gotta put the little chocolate chips on their eggs,
scrambled cheesy eggs.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Yes, cheesy eggs are good.

Speaker 6 (31:19):
There hash browns with some ketchup on it can't go wrong.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
My thing is though, when there's choices, I say both
begging or sauce. Yep, yes, schrits are hash Browns, Yes, yes, both.
Just everything you're offering. Put that on the plate too, ye.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
Shannon, what's yours?

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Bacon, egg and cheese on Texas toast side of hash browns,
extra pickles, hot.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Sauces every time too, Shannon, with you on that. Here's
the go to hash brown bowl with scrambled eggs and
bacon and cheese, and then you can get white gravy
put on top of it.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
Is that a cheat day?

Speaker 4 (31:53):
That's a major cheat day, but it is so good,
So if you don't need anything the rest of the day,
you can have that one. It's hashround bowl, bacon, egg
and cheese, but you want white gravy on top, Mercy.

Speaker 5 (32:04):
It's perfectly good. Nap after that, I have a good
Chaos Board Comment of the Day Okay, go ahead sponsored
by Phoenix Stevens Stevens. The Phoenix Stevens KS Board Comment
of the Day Running running four five or running gun
in four five four says he would ask the question
not when, but where you're going to die and just
completely stay the hell away from wherever they say.

Speaker 4 (32:27):
That is our Kentucky branded tweet today. That's a good point. Yeah,
if you knew where, just don't ever go.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
I had a friend go to a palm reader or
a fortune teller and they told him you're gonna die
in a NASCAR race. You didn't watch Nascar, And he's like,
that's stupid. And then about a month later, we get
a group text. One of our friends had his bachelor
party at Talladega and he was like, oh no, so
we watched him the whole We didn't let him out
of our site. Luckily he made it out of there.
But to go from that fortune and then get invited

(32:54):
to a race a month later, I wouldn't go.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
I would not go.

Speaker 5 (32:58):
I wouldn't. I wouldn't.

Speaker 6 (32:59):
You would take it?

Speaker 4 (33:00):
Do it? Test fate? No way, jose Am I going
to Talladega.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
He somehow made it out of their live.

Speaker 9 (33:05):
It was.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
It was hard on all this h eight five nine
two two eight seven. If you want to call, Shane's
got the buzzer ready. We'll take your calls as well.
And Drew has a surprise present to give us at
some point today. I don't know what's in this bag
right here.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
You've had it. It's kind of a you know, you're
in charge of decorating KOs Bar and you've been in
charge of driving the show, and you've been so good
with sending topics. He did it again, Mario. We get
it every night. You hung stuff up here. I just
brought a little something. I was gonna save it for
next week, but I'm you know, I went in and
had it, brought it over, so we'll open it.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
Well, I can't wait to see what that is. Is
halle Berry in there?

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Halle Berry's not in there. I certainly would not bring
her near you, but it is a gift that I
think KOs Barr might enjoy you mine. Okay, if you
listened to ks R back in March, I told you
I was going to get it.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
Oh I know what's in there? I give it away.
I think maybe I know.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
Now, Okay, then we'll keep it to myself.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
But you mentioned that if halle Berry's not in that bag,
can you tell the Taiwan story?

Speaker 5 (34:02):
Well, now you put me on the spot. Now you
think about it.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
Well, take our break and you think about it, because
that reminded me of the tai Windard story. We're right
back Kentucky Sports Radio. All right, welcome bout Kentucky Sports
Radio this Wednesday edition, Ryan, Drew, Shannon, jrim By, Super
Mario here in our first segment. Good to have you
back on there A little man eight five nine two
two a seven. That's our phone if you want to

(34:27):
call and get on board. Shannon's got the buzzer ready,
and Shane, you better get ready for the next guy.
I feel like it's coming, you think so, I don't
know if he can get it in twenty seconds? Mark Anthony,
can you do it in twenty seconds?

Speaker 10 (34:36):
Baylors, I'm on try first of all, Mike question, will
Mario or Shannon Mary first? And there's something wrong with
the broadcast ram because I I swore I heard Drew
Franklin say I want Louisville to win, and that can't
be right. So you might want to reset your equipment.
Appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Thank you, brother, Right.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
In twenty seconds, he did it.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Good for him, Good for Mark Anthony. You did say
that you want Louisville to win.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
It does feel weird to say that. It feels weird
to want that to happen. But I'm looking at a
big picture, and I'm looking at a lot of familiar
going onto their turf and winning by about twenty five. Sure,
that's what we want. We always love beating up on Louisville.
So that's that's why I'm saying it.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
So the other question, who will get married first, Shannon
or Super Mario Mario? Shannon, tell one of us, you
both have long term lady long time lady friends.

Speaker 5 (35:29):
She's got a few years on Mario.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Yeah, well, Ryan, you got a few years on me.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
You know, I've I've done this a couple of times
already didn't work out so well for me. Yeah, that
means pro uh, this is going to be another one of.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Our quickly changes the subject.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
Kentucky Brandon twee today, Shannon, this is for you. I'm
in Fort Myers, Florida. They showed a video of ten
thousand sharks eating a gigantic school of fish in the
Gulf of Mexico.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
Cocaine man, Tom.

Speaker 4 (36:01):
I don't know what if they ever keep saying it
global warming, sharknado clude supply, I've heard so many different
excuses what's going on down there, but it scares me
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Yeah, I would stay out of the water if I
were in Florida. Probably a smart move.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
I don't know if it's any better Inland though in Florida,
I get to I get into the water to get
out of Florida.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
That's true.

Speaker 5 (36:21):
Yeah, so I don't know, Maybe just find a new area. Sorry, Mario,
I know you love it.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
There. We had another question to say, where's Tom Hart today?
Tom's on a family vacation. I believe this week, right,
and now what it is? That's why he's not here
for Wednesday.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
Yeah, this is summer vacation for people to work in sports.
So if you know, we're not gonna make him do
a KSR show and he can be hanging out with
the family.

Speaker 4 (36:37):
All right. Here's another question from the Avision Glass text
machine five O two seven three five three six A dozero.
I would want to know what is the biggest sports
upset in the next five years, so you can hammer it.
What would you think would be a major upset potentially
going to happen in the next five years?

Speaker 5 (36:55):
How about in the next four and a half months
we call it five months? Can tell wins at Austin.
That sounds fun.

Speaker 4 (37:01):
That's a good upset right there.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
Let's just go ahead and do that. Get that out
of the way.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
I'm gonna I'm gonna piggyback that I'm gonna say in
the next four and a half months, Frederick Douglas High
School wins the six A State championship football. All right,
yeap upset Trinity in the championship game? How about that? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (37:15):
Save this show for those two predictions.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
See, Drew is a going because if you know you're
gonna have an upset, don't you want to be at
that game?

Speaker 3 (37:22):
So if you know that's going to happen, then let's
get as.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
There's nothing better than winning an upset on an opponent's
home field. There's no doubt about that is awesome.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
Especially if it can be a team like Texas who's
gonna be one of the best in the country and
it's their first SEC game and they talk all this
noise about how they're just gonna come in and run
the conference. And if you lose to a preseason number
eleven Kentucky on your own turf, then you're gonna know
your place in the SEC.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
You got an upset, you're gonna call Mario don't have one.
Win the NBA title.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Oh yeah, they'll say, as long as Kentucky they've been
on the wrong side of some upsets in the past
few years.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
So it's Kentucky on the wrong side of it.

Speaker 4 (37:59):
All right, here's aqui for you guys on the Avision
Class text machine. A cowboy rides into town on Friday,
I gotta pay attention, stays two nights, okay, then rides
out on Friday. How did he do that?

Speaker 5 (38:11):
The horses name is Friday.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
There we go, very good, Drew Franklin, very good. That's
that is that Madison Villa Community College education right there,
That's that's what I was studying. Uh, we do need
to bring up a sad note. We want we wanted
to talk about this yesterday. We were a live show.
So it just didn't It just didn't feel right. But
Todd's Spavoda maybe one of the most popular walk ons

(38:34):
in the history of UK basketball. He was He played
basketball at Northern Kentucky University. His Northern Kentucky didn't have
the classes he needed for his Masters, I believe it was,
so he transferred to Kentucky to be on one of
Rick Patino's first teams. We had a lot of walk ons,
and he became the walk on and it just became
a crowd favorite, you know. Uh, he hit the big

(38:57):
but he hit a three pointer against Florida State I
think it was in the NCAA tournament or something like that.
Came in and came off the bench. He had a
big scot. But anyway, he's been battling cancer for several
years and it was in remission. He was he'd beat it.
We did come back and this time they had to
amputate his leg, one of his legs, like a bike
below the knee. I believe it was. Uh, And it's

(39:18):
just that's just hard for anybody to go through. But
we had a lot of people reach out to us
because there's some fundraising efforts out there underway right now
where they're trying to raise some money for the family
to help with the equipment and things that he needs.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
He's trying to get a top of the line prosthetic
leg is what he's seeking and then other you know,
modifications will have to make house stuff, you know, but
that's that's what they're really trying to get some support for.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
So we just wanted to bring bike attention to it
and this if if Todd ever hears this, just best
of luck to him, man, you know, everybody's pulling for him. Amen,
prayers for Todd. Maybe we can do that hashtag for
the next hour prayers for Todd and uh, maybe they
can raise some money to help him.

Speaker 5 (39:57):
And there's not a good way to share a go
fundme link on the radio because there are about one
million characters in the r L. But I tweeted it yesterday.
If you want to go to my Twitter, it's on there.
If you go to go fund me punching his name,
I'm sure you'll find it. I just pulled it up
and I'm looking the most recent donations. Tony Delk So
that's pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Yeah, really cool.

Speaker 5 (40:14):
But yeah, I mean Todd was diagnosed in twenty fourteen,
but just earlier this month they had to amputate right
above the knee, the story says here. So they're trying
to get him the best of the best stuff so
he can keep keep living a fun life even without
that Amen, without that wheel.

Speaker 4 (40:29):
Yeah, yeah, you know, he stayed around here in town
and works here and of raising these kids, I think
around here. So we all want to pull for him,
And you'll go to Drew's Twitter account and he got
that linked there.

Speaker 5 (40:39):
If you want to hear if you just search his name,
I'm sure it'll be easy to find, but any any
help will certainly go along way with him.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
Eight five nine two two tweet seven. That's our phone number.
We had had a good crowd here last night for Singo.
Tell me about Yeah Singo last night. But the majority
of the people that came to play single was cool.
They were all in their blue and white because when
single was over, they paid their bill and went down
to the Roperta the TVT It was. It was perfect
timing for everybody was here last night.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
Yeah, I had something else downtown or I would have
been here. I was looking forward to it, you know,
a big Singo fan, and then you combined it with
the TVT three party. I'm glad you had a good crowd.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
It was. It was a good crowd. Uh. I thought
I had, you know, the final games always cover all.
I had one spot open and the song was Pour
some Sugar on Me. They started playing this song I'm
like single. I screamed it. I thought I had won.
It was the wrong song.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
You love def Leppard, right, I do?

Speaker 4 (41:33):
It was cherry Pie by Warrant. The way the song started,
I thought that's it single and of course, then they
never played it and I ended up not covering my
but yeah, little uh, premature premature single relation. Yeah, last
night for me. But it didn't do all well, but
it worked out well. Everybody then went down to Reparena

(41:54):
for the tvt and then Shannon the Dude Alice Blue
Gown in concert here Friday night. Friday night, we made evenighbors.
We may tell them, just.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
Give them a heads up.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
You don't ask permission, just tell them, hey, this is
going down that way. When they if they do call
the cops, you know.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
You could say, well, I've already told you, we give
you a heads up. Then ever, it's bat on them
for calling the cops.

Speaker 5 (42:14):
Mario, you go to Sonic, I'll get Sumo. You got
helping you, I got it.

Speaker 4 (42:17):
But Wolf County you're on the clock. We come back
here on Kentucky Sports Radio
