Ryan Lemandrew Franklin, and Shannon the Dude, as always Kentucky
Sports Radio, sponsored by the TJ.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Smith Office called TJ will make them pay.

by the way, Kentucky Brandon sent me a note opening a.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
New store in Louisville.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
How about that, So Kentucky Brandon's branching out got a
new store opening in Louisville. Guys, we are at Clark's
the brand well not brand new, but it's a new
Clark's Puppet Shop in Midway because today is Woodford County
Day on our countdown of the counties where we have
finally made it. We're at county number one hundred and twenty.
We're at Woodford County Day today. We made it, Shannon,
(01:28):
I'm about that we made it. We can't screw this
up now right, Oh you call it? Well if we
just like somehow forgot to do it, which is very possible,
Well that is possible. We'll get off our Woodford County facts.
But a big shout out to Clark's Puppet Shop, big
supporter of our show, big friend of the show, and Drew.
They gave us twenty gift cards to give away today,
(01:48):
twenty five dollars gift cards. All you had to do
is drive by and say I love Clark's Puppet Shop
twenty's We're down. We're down to eight. Shannon and Billy
gave away twelve of them during the pre show.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
It just shows the popularity of the pre show. I mean,
we're second fiddle to them sometimes, and I'm glad they
left us a few gift cards to give away in
these two hours.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I think Rachel just gave away two more. I think
we're down to six. Better get some moving.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
We were getting out over. They were getting the stricter
as the hour went by, because some people just come
and go Clark's Pupping Shop and I go, yeah, what
about it?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Well do you love it? I yelled, I love Clark's
Pupping's Shop. I didn't get a gift card.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
You don't get the perk of winning the Clark's Pupping
Shop card.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
It's a twenty five dollars gift card. All you have
to do is drive by yell out to Shannon. I
love Clark's Puppy Shop. Make sure Shannon hears you.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, mister grumple edump over here, say it all right.
I will just look at you and go, She's got them.
I don't have them. Don't look at me.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Well, not only is Clarks Puppy Shop, a big supporter
of US at KSR. They're also a proud supporter of
UK Athletics, the Kentucky volleyball teams opening the season at
the KFCM Center, and they're gonna have special tickets you
can give away here at Clark's Puppet Shop. So a
lot of things going on, but we're happy to be
here for Woodford County.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Dave on KSR.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yeah, I was looking forward to getting here. I like
their Clark's Cafe. She picked your latte. I'm up there
hitting buttons. Don't know what I'm doing, but it tastes delicious.
I fueled up here like I always do. I'm Marathon
oil Ryan and Clark says Marathon. So you saw me
getting gassed. I did, Now what I think about it.
I should have gotten a gas card first from you all.
But I was happy to support Clarks this morning. Glad
that we're here in Midway.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
We're getting the Crispy Crunchy Chicken afterwards for lunch. It's
really good. It's really good.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
When we did our Clark Puppet Chop show by my
house in Lexington, the one there on Citation, we had
some of that chicken and I was.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
Just telling Joe here the best part of the show
is staying after and getting that chicken sad.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
That's right, That's exactly right. Well, we got to start
with Shannon. I think some things that have happened last
night and in recent days since the sports world's kind
of slow. We've kind of covered UK basketball and UK
football a lot.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
During the summer.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
But our tour, or our tour of coasting the show
is about to wind down because Matthew Harper Jones is
back in the United States. He he called a lot
of us yesterday.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Did he call you? He did not? Did he call you?
Speaker 4 (03:56):
He didn't call me. But I'm in like three different
work group chats, different people, website, radio, bar. So he's
definitely back in business mode, even though his feet aren't back.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
In the A. Yeah, he is back in business mode.
That's a good way to do it.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
He reached out to a lot of people texting, setting
up some meetings and things we got going on. We're
gonna have a team meeting before our show in Hopkinsville
next week, Shannon. So, Matthew Harper Jones is back. He
comes back to Kentucky tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
That's right. And I noticed that Bill A strategically just
took his vacation on Monday. As soon as Matt gets back,
I'll be taking the week after that. But yeah, looking
forward to having Matt back. It's been a lot of
fun this summer though, just doing these pop up shows
like this one we're doing today. We really appreciate, of course,
all the places that have had us out, but it's
been a lot of fun. But back to normal coming
up this Monday.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Now, there's a lot of things going on next week
and we all had a good chuckle about it.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Our employer. iHeart having these mandatory meetings, seminars, seminars.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
We feel like a real real employees.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
But there's one in Lexington on Tuesday, and then there's
one in Louisville on Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
And we have to go to both of them doubleheader. Yeah,
how do you think that's gonna go with Matt?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Probably not gonna love it. But you know what, we
we love the company we work for. We do and
if they're gonna have seminars that we need to be
a part of, by God, we're gonna be there. So
I am looking forward to all the things that're gonna
happen at this seminar. I don't know what's going on,
but I will be there and I look forward to
Mad being there too.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
And you're gonna drive from Louisville to Lexington on Tuesday
for that seminary and then drive back. And then the
next day, Drew and I are gonna drive and Billy
we're gonna drive from Lexington to Louisville for another podcast.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Just in case you missed something on the first day,
we're gonna run it back on the next day and
make sure that we're all, you know, understanding exactly what's
going on in the podcast world.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
They know you're add so they're like, I possibly sit
through one two hour session. So we're gonna invite them
to both.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
So and then on Friday of next week, a week
from tomorrow, we're gonna be in Hopkinsville at the new
A Vision Glass Company. Another great friend of our show,
the A Vision Glass Tex Machine. I've got it right
here on the table. But when we're gonna go and
spend the night the night before little retreat have our
team meeting. We're gonna get together and talk about get
ready because football seasons here fellas, I mean, the team
has already reported they've been on the field. Football season
(06:07):
is here and we have to get ready for it.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
First practice was yesterday. They put some clips out. Even
though it's like one second of a guy throwing a pass,
you know, you don't really see what's happened. I still
get so excited just watching it. There's one where Vandergriff
hits Barrion Brown on It looks like a go route
for touchdown, a little one handed grab by someone else's.
Even though it's heavily edited, it means football is They're
looking good now.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Last night, Shannon, we had eighties and nineties trivia at Chos.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Bar and Grill.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Good crowd. I mean, we had a really good crowd.
It was a lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
But before we did it, Super Mario decides to have
a hot wing eating contest with Drew and I.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
I'm not really a contest.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
We were just just a little challenge to see what
we could tolerate.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Eating hot wings. I despise hot wings. Despise them. How
do you despise hot wings?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
I get I'm a American, I'm a woosie. I can't
if it's hot and spice. See, I told Drew sometimes
salsa is hot.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
And spicy to me.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
So they bring out three different times chos Bar sauce,
which used to be our hottest sauce.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Right, it's more.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Of a chipotle heat than on the what they call
it the sko Voll ratings. It's it's probably about midway up.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
On them, okay.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
And then we had one was a little bit hotter.
What was that was the hot the hot sauce.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Before you go too much further further, Shane, I want
to say I was getting having Tina. Our managers set
up the wings, yep, and I got the super hot
for the for the the bit, but Ryan wanted to
get mild, and Mario put his foot down, like we're
not doing mild for our challenge. So got the KSR
in on the hot.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
And then and what and so the second one is
called what just our hot, just a hot sauce, and
the third one is called.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
Eight Rings of Fire.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Eight Rings of Fire.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
Eight eight represents the national championships. I think there's like
eight different peppers. We're hoping its non rings of fire
this time next year, but that is the hottest that
ks Bar has.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
The nith ring was Ryan's bald spot for the sweating, right,
I'm telling you, okay, we swe We did the KSR
sauce first. It wasn't bad. I could do it. I
didn't want to eat a lot of it, but I
could get by.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
That was not too spik It's a different kind of
different kind of spices.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
And even the slaver one, I think my tongue was
already kind of on fire. So the second one, it
was already my tongue was kind of numb.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Once you get past that numbing point, the second one
hot was okay.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
It was also okay, you're running on adrenaline at that point.
Who cares just to just jump right in? Well, let
me taste something. That third one lit me up. I
mean my tongue was on fire, my bald spot was sweating.
I had sweat running down my back into my boxing shorts.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
I'm like, holy cow, Drew ate the whole wing, went back,
ate a second wing, and I'm drinking milk trying to
calm it down.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
He comes it down by eating more the hot wing.
So that doesn't surprise me. So what you're saying is
Drew annihilated you in this not even close. Yeah, you
guys understood. Also had some milk milk.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
One milk on the toe.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
I killed my milk. I drank it completely try and
Drew is doing it the right way. You shouldn't have milk.
If you gotta have milk, you're you're you're cheating. You
gotta have milk. My nose was running. I'm wiping snock
from my nose. My goodness, those are those are those
are hot?
Speaker 4 (09:07):
They're warm, and I can't say that's what I wanted
for dinner. Right before we hosted Bingo, stomach wide, feeling great.
But I think I even say this in the video.
We're a few We're about thirty seconds in, and I realize,
we gotta make this entertaining. If it's just us taking
one bite and drinking milk. That's how I tapped out video.
I tapped out, so you had to. You had to
play the part. I'm a big content guy. I gotta
give the people what they want, so I went all in.
(09:28):
I don't know that I'll do that again anytime soon,
but it was a lot of fun, and it's just
another example of what great work Mario is doing. He
comes up with these ideas. Yeah, never attempt We didn't
really know what we're in for. He said, be here
at six, coming out early. He's got lights set up,
and it's just he's full of ideas and adding a
lot to the KSR brand that I think our listeners
are really enjoying.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
So you're hearing Drew talk right now. You think he
was okay? It didn't affect him, right, I think he's okay.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Well was eighties and nineties trivia night. Andrew and I
took turns asking the questions. You're sweating right now, just
talking about the hot wings lit me up.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
So yes, So we.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Had a really good crowd, a lot of teams there
for eighties and nineties trivia. If you don't think the
wings affected Drew. Drew pulled a wrong Burgundy twice. Read
the question and the answer. Oh no, but there's a question.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Yeah, let me defend myself a little here. Yeah, there's
no defending it. I did just read the answer with
the question. But prior to the one I messed up,
they were double space, so there was the question, a
gap and the answer, so I would just stop at
the gap on the one I messed up, and all
just kind of ran together. So after the question mark,
I then just shouted the answer and everyone immediately was like,
you just said the answer.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
All right, we're blaming the editor.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
Well, Jess, she was our trivia host. She with him.
I don't want to blame her. I actually still feel
bad because she gave me a look like you idiot,
would you just sit down.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
And let me do this?
Speaker 4 (10:49):
So on the fly I came up with my own
question to solve it. I didn't want the math getting
thrown up on points.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
On the fly said that's surprised, all right, So what
was the question?
Speaker 4 (10:57):
If you don't, well, we're doing nineties, I said, in
what movie did Tom Hanks go looking for his friend
in the Vietnam War? And she quickly found music from
this soundtrack and everyone answered it was Forrest Scott. So
I had to throw that in there. But I did
completely try to ruin trivia by being ron burguendy and
just reading what was directly in front of He just.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Did it again. He told the answer before I could guess. Yeah,
I knew it was Forrest Scott.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
But well then later you you caught yourself. You're about
to read the answer, you know, he goes you topped
your stopped and said, oh, I think I just read
the answer again.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
You almost read it? Did it again?
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Yeah, I might leave the trivia to you. I'm more
of a single guy.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
You know. I'm happy to participate things at the bar,
but I think I learned trivia readings not for me.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Well, speaking of single, we got a big announcement. We're
gonna start having single now every Tuesday night. It was
such a huge success this summer at Chaos Bar and grew.
We're gonna have single every Tuesday night. George Thompson our
guy that does it. He does Single at Chickapan Brewery
and Georgetown on Thursdays. He's gonna do it at our
place on Tuesdays. I don't know if it starts this Tuesday.
We'll find out one when it officially starts. But every
Tuesday night we're gonna have single.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Singo is a big yeah. The first time I ever
saw it, I was on vacation in Florida and I
wanted this play. They're doing this thing called singo and
I'm like, what is this? I don't know, but it's
kind of fun and I'm glad that we're now doing
a ksbar.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
I don't want to turn this into just ksbar radio.
But the TBT game Friday Friday. I'm really bummed I
can't make it, so I'm hoping people will join me there.
Ye'll have another watch party and so into that clearly
if anyone to see videos from Monday, I've been very
passionate about TVT. Mario can't go either, so we're hoping
to have some fun and licensing have a big watch party.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Well tonight we have a Blink one eighty two pre
concert party and then tomorrow night, I mean Friday night.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Yeah, with the hits, I mean, I feel like they
have something all the time over there. I wasn't like
that a few years ago. They did a really good job.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah next Yeah, they have picked up their game with
the concert.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
Well, just this summer they've had justin Timberlake, Olivia Rodrigo
and now Blink one eighty two here just this summer.
So so come after a pre concert party at Ksbar
tomorrow night, will have the game on for a watch
party for TVT. All right, guys, we were at Clark's
Pumping Shop in Midway. It is just off the interstate
off of I sixty four you go north, if you
go south, they've got the McDonald's over there on that side.
It's on the other side, then it's fairly new. It
(13:01):
has been here that long. And come on out and
say how we got a couple more gift cards giveaway.
You can download the Clark's Pumping Shop at for monthly
specials for Ryan, for Drew Schremstanna will be right back.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
This is Kentucky's Ports Radio.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
All right, Welcome back Kentucky's Ports Radio live at the
new Clark's Pumping Shop in Midway for Woodford County Day.
How about at ten thirty we do we start our
Woodford County facts. Maybe we'll kind of split it up
throughout the show. Did you do some Woodford County research
last night? You're ready to go?
Speaker 4 (13:28):
I got up early and did it. You know, we
were busy at the bar this week. I'm not complaining,
but I feel like I've had something every minute I
get in bed get right back up. So this morning
I jumped on it. I really didn't have to do
that much research. Big Woodford County fans have a lot
of restaurants. Yes, yeah, I don't want to give to
me spoilers, but I'm ready to go, and I agree
we should do it earlier. We don't want to put
it off and forget and not complete the tour.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
How about you, mister dude. Oh yeah, I mean I
was up all night studying. You know me, I always
do my homework. Well, so we'll do that at ten thirty.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
I believe we may have a Woodford County official like
Chamber of Commerce or the Mayor of Midway, whose last name,
by the way is vander griff Ah. Yeah, mayor of
you know, Midway even had their own mayor.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
How about that.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
It's good for Midway.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
So we'll do out Woodford County stuff at at ten thirty.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Do you know why they call it Midway? I'll go
n I do I know.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
The story I was gonna say it. You go ahead,
go ahead if you.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
Know it's midway between Lexington and Frankfort.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
I think some of them needs a fact check me.
It originally used to be started like Midwayville or something
like that.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
That's stupid, just called Midway.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Yeah, so they said, let's just kind of short of
the train that used to go from Lexington to Frankfort.
The train depot was right here in the middle the
distance and it was Midway. So that's how Midway was developed.
Because Midway between Lexington and Frankfort.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Midway doesn't have like a first name like Jonathan Midway
or anything like that. I know you like to give
first names to things.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
If you want to, we can call it Jonathan Midway.
Like that Midway University right down the street now it's
co ed. Was a female university for ever and ever
and ever. Now it's co ed. They have basketball teams
now I believe they even have baseball teams, soccer teams.
They're they've really expanded in the last several years.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
I mean, I'm careful. I don't want to give too
much more away. Okay, yeah, we're This is all good stuff.
We love Midway where we always meet to go to
Louislle at McDonald's and it's like our regular breakfast spot
on the way out of town.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
That McDonald's over there is big for KSR Road track.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
We just know that's where we're meeting. If there's a
Louisville trie.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Yeah, which is all right with that?
Speaker 3 (15:21):
That McDonalds All right, eight five nine two way two
to eight seven. That's our Clarks Pumping Shop phone number.
Who's our first caller, Matt Steph Go ahead, Steph.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Hey, guys, I was telling Shannon's on Monday that I
had fun Friday at the show. Yeah, thanks for coming.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
Oh yeah, sorry I couldn't make it, but it looks
like you had fun. I saw your pictures.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Also, I had my first softball tournament Saturday.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
You got your first softball ternam Is Saturday. Well, good
luck to you, Steph. We hope you do well.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Hey. And then I wondered to say you all are
you all did a great job this time?
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Well, thank you, Steph, thank you very much. You appreciate
phone call. Steph's one of a good call. Yes, she
was there at the concert Friday night. Yes, ks bar
Shannon was rocking it out.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
She even brought me some vintage chee cheese margarita glasses.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
At my bar.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Oh. I loved it. It was like the best things she
could have given me for a gift. So yeah, I've
got some che cheese classes.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
Now your most position of the radio belt.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
That was that the Phoenix Hllo Fountain and the chee
cheese classes. That's it. Yep.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Yoga girl and I were just talking about the chee
cheese where it was in Lexington, you know, you know
where it used to be.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
Well, see always wins Evansville. Yeah, when I was younger,
we didn't get to Lexing. I could drive you right
to the even Zille And where was it in Lexington?
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Where Target is kind of in front of Target, where
that Arby's is and there's a uh.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
First watch the jewelry shop right there? First watch Yeah,
and Lowell was in the bashroot manor Mall. If anybody
ever revives che Cheese, you will officially be my hero.
Like I will go into Isn't this with you? I
will be an investor, Yeah I will.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
I don't have the money for it, but I would
love to start a small town that just has like
a blockbuster, a Chee Cheese radio shock, because you can
go back in time for an afternoon to a little
going around the square.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
I got a throwback town, well on uh on the
on the Nicholas Vield Road there Chee Chee's on the
one side, and right across Nicholasvield Road was Darryl's.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Another hit I know again, I had to go to
the Evansville location. I liked Darryl's because I'm young, I'm
a kid, and that may serve my food in a
plastic dump truck. And I got to take it home.
I had like ten dump trucks at home, you know,
in Evansville. Chee Cheese and Daryl were almost kind of
across the street from each other on the Green Green
River Road, and r I p to Darryl in here
we go all right eight five nine two two eight
(17:42):
seven our cars pumping shop.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Phonder if you want to call and get on board.
I do want to talk a little bit about Shannon
and I. We were We were movie stars earlier this week.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
Behind the scenes on Instagram.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Tell me about that movie stars Shannon and I got
there getting to star in a grand commercial for the
Moonshine Trail.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
That's right. Yeah, they put you in the little Moonshine
truck truck which was made out of wood. It was
but still was functional. Yeah, I mean that was built
in like nineteen twenty nine something like that. Yeah, that
was really cool. Do you still remember your lines? Hey,
I'm Ryan Lemon and we know Kentucky like nobody else there.
I remember that one. Yeah, we don't want to spoil
the whole thing's true.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Yeah, it was good, but Shannon uh really practiced his
He had the last line in the whole commercial, and
he practiced and practiced, and even when I sat down today,
he goes, man, I should have delivered it this one.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
You ever do something and then go back later and
feel like, you know, I could have maybe nailed that
a little bit better. I'm having that like filling right now.
They had me do it three or four times, but
I feel like maybe that fifth time I would have
really nailed it. We'll try it, try it with Drew,
let him hear it, and he'll pick the one. You
should have get the line. The line was come get
your shine on on the Moonshine Trail. Yeah. I just
(18:51):
wanted to maybe enunciate things and like you know, ended
on a high note instead of a low note, and
just things like that. Sure, I wanted to say it
like come get your show on the Moonshine Trail. I
wanted to emphasize yours. Well, that's good, that's really good.
Do it there though, So now I just feel like
I'm just up there reading a teleprompter and I don't
know that I gave him my best effort. So if
(19:12):
you can somehow like you're listening Moonshine Trail, if you
can somehow like patch in this voiceover that I just
gave you a minute to go. Let's do that. Let's
run that one.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Let's all get quiet.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, one more time, here we go. Ready, hold on,
I'm kind of nervous. Can he count me down? Yea, three, two, one?
Come get your Shane on on the moonshine trail.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Oh that's a great. Don't even know how you did that.
I feel like you're talking to me when you say that.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Kind of had like an out of body experience.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
And uh, his first line in the commercial, he goes,
you know, hey, I'm Shanning the dude.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
But he did it a little special. He did, Hey,
I'm Shanning the dude. You know, I'm excited to see this. Yeah,
i am too. Hopefully we don't look like a couple
of idiots. And there was no oversized donut for me
to sit on in this commercial district Oh oh oh
yeah they did. But we got to mention that the
fact they had to bring out the booster seat. Oh
it's true. So Ryan is sitting in this in this
(20:08):
truck and they had to bring out the booster seat
for Ryan to sit on because he wasn't high enough
in the shot. So like Ryan's head was like down
at the bottom of where the like the window would be,
so they had to boost him up a couple of
inches on this big wooden block.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
I was like like a little kid, you know, looking
out barely out the window, riding with his dad.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
That's what I looked like.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
So I had to give me a booster seat so
I can sit up a little bit and not looks
such like a little kid.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
They put him in a child seat. Basically, you would
have been a terrible bootlegger back in the day. I
would have been a terrible boot legger.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Eight five nine two two eighty seven our cars pumping
shot phone number.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
I do want to tell you a funny story. So
I told you.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
You know, we took Dane out to eat Tuesday night
because they reported to camp on Wednesday. So we're just
kind of talking and he starts talking to you, Siyah
about hey, you played a game, much college football game,
of course, So I started we started asking Dame do
you play it? He goes, oh, man, I played it
all the time.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
I said.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
When Josiah played with these friends, he screams and talks
smacked like I've never heard before in my life. A
lot of naughty words come out of that boy's mouth. Oh,
Dane said, Oh, we're the same way.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
I said, who you play with?
Speaker 3 (21:09):
He said, anybody guys on the team, So you'll all
get in the group chat and we're all playing each other. Uh,
the intensity and the competition, I think it comes out
in these guys on the field also comes out and
they're playing this game.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
I can certainly believe it, and I've seen it, which
is regular gamers. But the players, you know, we might
get to talk to some of them at media day tomorrow.
I'll have to ask them what it's like. Are they
playing with themselves? Do they get mad when their character
drops the ball? I mean, this is this game's one
of the most popular games of all time, but this
is the first time ever that the actual players are
in it. So that has to be a little weird
turning it on. And maybe you're controlling your gun, not
(21:45):
doing you want them to do. I wonder if that's
a weird dynamic.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
So if you're in the game, like you know, I'm
a wide receiver, I'm throwing to me every time, I'm
calling my number every time. I also wonder if these
guys like maybe feel like they get slighted on the ratings,
because like, what if you look at there in your ratings,
like sixty five.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
Did you see Barry on Brown's video when his rating
came out, he had a very low strength. I mean
he had great with speed everything else. He's one of
the best players on there, but his strength was really low.
So he put a video on Instagram with him just
doing push ups in the locker room and like clapping,
clapping push ups like.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Come on, hey, well, I asked Dane if he plays
as himself, and he goes. I started to, but then
I found myself throwing to myself every single time. Yeah,
and it kept getting intercepted. Oh, so he does not
play as himself for that reason, he goes. I kept
losing because I kept trying to throw it to myself
for every single game. But he is getting these screenshots
of fishing from kids showing Dane winning the Heisman at
the end of the season and they're sending it to him.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
He loves that. So if you got him winning the
heisman's in it to him.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
All right, Well take our break, come back, Ryan Drew
and Shannon here Clark's Pumping Shop in Midway, Kentucky. We'll
talk a little, Woodford County. When we come back, I'm
Kentucky's sports.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Radio TJ Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
He'll make them pay Now. More of Kentucky Sports Radio
presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. No you podcast
listeners can't hear it, but we're playing John Conley. Why
are we playing John Conley? Mister dude, Well, John Conley
is from Woodford County. Yes, he is born in Do
we call it for Silles or Versailles?
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Oh, it's for sales, sales, yes, Okay, I've heard foreigner
it's for sales. I've heard some people say Versailles. Well,
wrong in France it is.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Yeah. Well, anyway, Rose Colored Glasses was a huge song.
You may know that song. Yeah. Uh. It peaked at
number six Lady lay Down actually peaked at number five
in the US, number six on the Canadian Country charts.
I didn't know they had Canadian country charts. But it
was a huge song, spent twenty weeks on the charts.
John Conley, Woodford Proud, there we go. John Conley. All right, Drew,
(23:41):
what do you got for us on Woodford County?
Speaker 4 (23:43):
I'm a big fatty so I want to talk about food.
What's why is that so funny?
Speaker 2 (23:47):
You're not a fatty? You like to eat wings.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
Big restaurant guy, I love a good restaurant in Midway.
I'll start there. Oh, yes, several, I mean heirloom. Come on,
that's a it's a classic.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
Peak travel from all over Kentucky to go eat in Midway.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
You got a Wallace Station?
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Is it the pis guy Pike with pica. Yeah, that
beautiful drive. And you can go to Wallace Station for
lunch at center. I think that's a famous thing. I've
done that a few times on a Sunday. You also
have the Holly Hill Inn.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Yes, we can go over to Versailles. Just Velosi's Italian
just opened up about a year ago. Amsden Coffee. You
remember we did our show down there in the little downtown.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
I remember that.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Yeah, Freddy took me to Takira Bicara. I don't know
if I'm pronouncing that right. Did you go with us?
Restaurant in town. Got me a little hat. It's my
mowing hat. See me mowing. I'm wearing their hat.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Freddy was so excited to take us to his favorite
Mexican restaurant in Versailles, and you're.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Nodding because you you know, all of these these are
really hits. But there's one I don't think you've even
considered that. I both love Dodetti's Donuts.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
Oh my Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
People have the Lexington debate, and there's lots of good
donuts all over Lexington. I hit them all frequently. But
one that doesn't get mentioned enough. When you're going down
for sales road, Yep, dough Daddies where you get a
free donut if you fill a fuel up there. But
we prefer Clarks get your fuel here. But dough Daddy's
Donuts is a hidden gym over there on for sales road.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
If you're leaving Lexington and you're going to the Bluegrass Parkway,
if you're going to Bowling Green or Madisonville, anywhere, it's
a must to stop at dough Daddy's before you get
on the Bluegrass.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Now, sometimes you gotta risk your life crossing Trafford. Sure,
but that's one that when I think of Woodford County,
it needs to be included.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Uh So we'll get to some of the highlights of
Woodford County and some of the tourists attracts and things
like that, but we wanted to kind of focus on
the food and the other thing I think in this
segment is the bourbon.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Oh of course they call themselves the birthplace of bourbon.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Well is it is this true? Is the Woodford Reserve
Distillery the oldest distillery in Kentucky. I think it might
be the oldest one.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
It is Corean ryle Leman. It absolutely is.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
Well, we'll make it it, We'll make it.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
So. Yeah, there they've got several Woodford is obviously the
most known, I mean Woodford County, Woodford Reserve, Castle and
Key has had a review. Yeah, several bottles of Castle
the Key in my house. I've not made it out there,
but I hear that's what of the better tours also.
But there's a little you know, lots of people want
to claim Bourbon but for sales or Woodford County and
calls himself the birth birthplace of bourbon. I mean they're
gonna say it. I'm gonna believe it. Uh.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
I believe the wofand Reserve was called something else when
it was originally built, and it did. But if you
count that, they're the oldest distillery and it's a good
tour you're taking the tour out of Woodford Reserve.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
That's we all will slap afy and just laughed the
whole time. We almost had to leave the tour because
we got it.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Why did you get slap half bourbon?
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Because we're both children. But uh, it got to one
of the points where we we just were laughing at
the fact that we were laughing, and it was just
a never an ing cycle. It couldn't stop. We had
to step away. But I haven't been to Woodford County.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
I've been to a couple of times. It always amazes me.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
You go in that one room, that big vat when
they make it and it just stinks.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
Still, it's a beautiful Smith's.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
If I can make that into a candle, I would
the fermentation tank, not the finished tank. The fermentation.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Knows in it, if they'd let me.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
It smells like a Saturday night.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Do you ever drink the White Dog on a bourbon tour?
It's the like the extra strength alcohol's cut Downeah, what
what's it is it? Angels envy? Is that what the
vapor is? They call it the angels share?
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Angel share? Yeah, when you lose, that's right, that's what
it is.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
So so yeah, some really uh cool restaurants to eat
here in Versailles and in Midway, especially.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Half of them. But go ahead, no, no, no, no, I'm
just saying there's so many there. I just name those.
Those are some of my favorites. But it is a
great county to find some food.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
And then if you need some gas, you come to
Clarks Puppet Shop to return, refresh, refuel.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Absolutely, I'm always saving the notable people for later.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Yes, because there's a lot of those. Yeah, we're gonna
save that for another segment. We just kind of hit
it there just a little bit. So we want to
hear from you. Eight five to nine two a two
two eight seven. That's our Clarks Puppy Shop phone number.
Eight five nine two aight oh two two eight seven.
Are you okay? By the way, we're not checked on
you today from your about what your your butt whooping?
You got a TV T tournament?
Speaker 4 (27:52):
You? Actually, I still feel it. I don't want to
give you. Seriously, I was laying in bed lasts like, man,
this guy got really yeah. I'm alright though, minor setback.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Okay, you can get hazard Pa if you want to.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
I mean, we're still moving on in the tournament. I
don't know what they're doing. What are they playing in
the Bahamas or something. I see Louiss down there beating
up on the Bahamas national team. Yah. I haven't followed
it closely, but I think that's what the cards reripped too.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Right now, now, your favorite NFL quarterback is Will Levis.
Gotta be because he's on us, the quarterback of your
team Tenness, he Titans. He's been in the news the
last week or so for a couple kind of a
two completely opposite things. We'll start with the the kind
of the not disappointing, but his little uh situation he
(28:32):
was in. Yeah, he was in Italy and he wanted
to work out. So I think the story goes, he
hopped offense to work out on a soccer field and
they came into the they arresting him.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
Yeah. I don't know if he got fully arrested, but
they certainly he caused a little international incident where the
police had to call. You know, Will Levis clearly man
who likes to work out. Yeah, certainly likes it more
than I do. He does it much more than I do.
And he just decided on vacation I need to go
through a football around and he got on a nearby
field like people do, and they didn't know what was
going on. Thank so we had to deal with the
local authorities.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Ryan, you would never jump over a fence and get
onto a field and run around.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
I would never do anything like that, especially with the
sprinklers on and making dick mud prince as they walking
around the field.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
I would never even want to exercise on vacation. I
think that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Well, that's that's the point. Look at it. I think
of your Tights fan. I'll look at him. He's working
out on vacation.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Yeah, I will say the preseason excitement around Levis has
been high. The towns I don't think are going to
be very good. The offense is gonna be much better,
but it has been interesting. As we predicted. Valls fans
just trashed him for a month around the draft. We
don't want him. This guy stinks looking through an interception
against Georgia. He's going to be the worst. Now they
love him, I mean, Valls fans worship Will Levis as
(29:46):
we all predicted what happened. Now it's finally in front
of us. We'll see how the season goes. But they
are pretty fired up about him in Nashville, but.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
They didn't detain him or anything, but the police were
called because he had jumped the fence play on empty
vacant soccer field, right.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
I mean, QB one's got to work out.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
We got to work out somehow. So so that was
the first thing. He was kind of the news for.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
People take their fields a little too seriously. Yeah, you know,
like maybe you know soccer fields and other countries are
more important than they are here. But like the Little
League World Series, come on, we weren't doing any harm.
We weren't doing running out your lifelong dream of running
the bases at the Little League World Series, the gates
were just lost for no reason involved. We don't need
the FBI, we don't need a Homeland security you know,
(30:27):
the the underreported story from me jumping the fence at Williamsburg, Well,
Shannon did it first, Like come on, man, let's go.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Shannon jumps over. And then as soon as I jump over,
Shannon jumps back.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
It's always the second guy that gets caught, and I did.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
And you know, I'm not going to say any names,
but there may be a group of athletes that maybe
have done that in Lexington, and I think got chased
by uh the security guy maybe at Henry Clay and
got away. But the difference by the way in me
and you, as I jumped over the fence and then
immediately jumped right back.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
You jumped on the field and ran all the time.
I'm not gonna wait around. We're on the fielding go
all the way up the left field line to third base,
and then proceeded to run around every base this the
sprinklers came on.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
And I'm happy to do it, okay. The other reason
Will Levis was in the news. He made it official
he has a new girlfriend or and we knew we
know who she well, we don't know her personally, but
we know who she is because she's a former bachelorette.
While she was on the Bachelor as a contestant. Was
it pilot Steve's season?
Speaker 4 (31:25):
I think it's Pilot Pete.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Pilot Pete. That's it, Pilot Pete.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
Telling to myself there, well, what are you talking about.
I've never seen that show. You're on your own here,
what is that show?
Speaker 2 (31:34):
You know? Pilot Pete. She was a contestant and she's
been on the show twice.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
I think she's one of the Bachelor at Nation people.
I guess that becomes a career. If you don't get picked,
you just you get to be a Bachelor contestant just
getting rejected. And I feel like they all moved to Nashville.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
So yes, they all seem to move to Nashville.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
You can't walk down Broadway without running into someone that
was on the Bachelor Bachelorette.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
So that is the new the new love interest for
Will Levis. So I expected him to have a good
season this year.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
I I do worry about finding love right his camp starts.
I don't know, I don't know her. Maybe it's good
for him. I do have distraction concerns, you know, we
want to be completely focused, and it sounds like he's
focused working out on vacation in Italy. But it is
a it is a side story that has a lot
of legs around Nashville as they're starting football camp. What
are the man just likes being in love? You know? What?
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Do you think his legacy is here at Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Needing bananas?
Speaker 2 (32:30):
You know? I mean was that the first thing he
thought of was what it is? But I mean, you know,
the ten to three season was pretty impressive too.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
You know Alyssa Lange talked about that when she was
on the show with us. You know she did that
bit where she ate the banana. It was everywhere after
he did it, it went, they went everywhere.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
Yeah, and we just the excitement around him. We never
had a quarterback that could throw it around like that.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
No.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
I mean he wasn't perfect, and he lost some games,
maybe they should have won, but just that dude, and
like even in his little like uh what do you
call it? Just the NFL workouts in an empty gym,
just when he threw the ball, it was unbelievable. Could
hear it coming off of hand? Yeah, So I just
remember him for some of the throws he would make eight.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
Five nine two whitto two two eight seven. That's our
Clarks Pumping Shop phone number. We'll take our break, come
back more Woodford County facts. We'll get to you when
we do points of interest. Sure, let's do maybe more
food boy, if you know some more. I've had a
big life experience. There a couple of them.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
We got to get to that for sure.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
And we also need a Woodford County caller for sales Midway,
you need a call from you eight five nine two
whitto two tweet seven Ryan, Drew and Shannon. This is
Kentucky's Sports Radio. We'll be right back, all right. Welcome
back Kentucky Sports Radio by and Drew and Shannon Live
at the New Clark's Puppet Shop in Midway, just off
the interstate in Midway.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
We're out of our gift cards. We've already given them away.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
But now if you come out you can, since it's
about lunchtime, you can get a chicken sandwich or three
piece bone in fried chicken or chicken tenders with a
side of wedges for only six dollars.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
I forgot about those wedges. Those are just as good
as the chicken, saying.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Ah, actually, so we got a little lunch special going
on right now while we're out here doing the show.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Twenty nine. You can't eat much for five ninety nine.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Oh you can't, No, you can't.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
Where it is Woodford County Day we counted down, started
down the countdown of the counties back and during COVID.
We picked it up this summer while Matt was gone.
I think we had thirteen to go and we're at
number one twenty. We're at Woodford County. We talked last
segment about the bourbon and about the great restaurants. Now
we want to talk about points of interest. I'll go
(34:25):
first and we want you to go last. Okay, if
Woodford County is known probably for two things, bourbon and horses,
and they've got two of the most famous horse farms
in the world. If wood Reserve is the oldest and
maybe most famous bourbon distillery, these two horse farms maybe
the two most famous right now in the world. Three
(34:47):
Chimneys Farm look really close to where we're at right now.
They had Triple Crown Winter, Seattle Slew and they've had
several great horses out there. I know Smarty Jones was
out there, Big Red, you know some Kentucky Derby winners.
But their most famous one is Seattle Saluters, no doubt.
The other most famous horse farm is WinStar Farm just
down from the castle. They had triple Crown Winter Justify
(35:09):
and they are the most maybe the most successful horse
farm right now going right now. They have all kinds
of states winners and everything. So when I think of
Woodford County, I think of the bourbon and of the
horse farm. But there's another horse farm. It's got of
those good story.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Yeah, those two farms are great, But did either of
those two farms ever host Queen Elizabeth. Oh In Farm
hosted Queen Elizabeth during her visit to Kentucky back in
May of two thousand and seven. That's pretty cool. I
imagine having Queen Elizabeth just stay at your place.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
I remember that that was a big deal when she
came over for the Kentucky Derby and stayed out there
at the farm. I mean, you got to think your
accommodations better be on point Queen's coming to stay there.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Yeah, I wonder like what level of like preparation do
you have to have for Queen Elizabeth exactly, Like, you know,
do you get her, does she have a rider like
she's a rock star coming in? You know, like request
of like things that you have to have. You have
just a bottle of Colgate toothpaste there in her bathroom.
I mean, now I think she has to probably get
her own, like you know, specific brand.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
I'd say she has someone brush her teeth. Maybe so
she just sits there and someone brushes her teeth. I
think she's the queen, why would you bring her own teeth?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
Like a horse get in there so we Whitford Distillery,
these three horse farms. But the most famous spot in
Woodford County is what drew.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
It is the Kentucky Castle. I took a knee there
and got engaged. Did the castle? Uh so that that
has a pretty significant place with me and my now
wife Abbey. And of course, I mean everyone knows the
castle just from driving by it if you're coming from
western Kentucky out there, just anywhere down Versales Road. Lots
of mystery about the castle, lots of rumors, but uh,
I don't think a lot of people know that. In
(36:46):
the last several years it's really been redone up and
you can go in there. There's a restaurant, spa hotel.
You've stayed there before. But yeah, the castle is one
of the other biggest things in for sales in Woodford County,
and that's where I happened to to to take a
knee and get in propose.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Up on the roof. Yep, on the rooftop. How you
do it? Right there? He mentioned a lot of mystery there.
You know they also have murder mysteries there. Yeah, right,
and I want there. Ryan dressed up like a night
and ended up winning Best Costume for the night best costume.
I got a free weekend stay and I haven't used
it yet.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
I have a great video of us from there too.
We're all dressed up. Abby one is a dragon. I
think that was a lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
They do some great events out there at the castle now,
and you're right, there's a lot of mystery and stories
behind it, like this man and this woman. They toured
Germany and they came back and decided to build a
castle to somewhere what they saw in Germany. But while
they were building it, they got a divorce. So it
stayed unfinished for years and years and years. Guy finally
bought it started.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Refacchael Jackson, Right, didn't hear that? Who bought it?
Speaker 3 (37:48):
I don't know if it was Michael Jackson, but whoever
bought it. While they were finished it, it caught on fire.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
I remember. I mean that was a big story that
day and it caught on fire. So, as a realtor,
do you know like the estimated value of the cat sold,
because that's gotta be way up there, and yeah, let's
look it up.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
I'm I'm I know it was for sale one time
for three million.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
How do you look it up? Before it was refinished.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
Yeah, going much higher than much higher than that now.
I mean it's probably closer to fifteen million or something.
I would just guess. I have no idea, but all
the land that comes with it, And you mentioned the restaurant,
all the food that is served is raised on their property,
farm to farm to table. The meat and everything is
braised on their property.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
When we got engaged, we spent the night there and
the next morning I had family show up, surprising, and
we had a brunch there. It was so good.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Yeah, yeah, the food is very good.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Did I mention Have I ever said on the story
the little how I proposed had a little twist.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
I don't know if you've told the wholetel yeaheah, we
got time go ahead.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
Ay came home from work and I was already at
the castle, set up on the roof, ready to go.
She had no clue what was going on, and I
had an open suitcase and a note. It was like
pack a bag. This is kind of what you're what
you'll need to wear a little bit. We were supposed
to going to a bergazzi that night, so she was
coming home thinking we're going to Nate Bergatzi. Okay, but
I had a black SUV from gold Shield pull up
(39:07):
and get her. At this point, she has no idea
where she's going. She gets in the driver. She did
not know this was her own brother wearing a disguise.
He looked like an idiot. He had I say that
with love, Michael. He had a fake mustache, a little hat,
even wore a fake wedding ring. And I thought, there's
no way this is gonna work at all. She's texting me,
I don't know where this guy's taking me. He's not talking.
(39:28):
Should I tip? He didn't help me getting couldn't help
with my bag, And I'm thinking, she really doesn't know
her own brother is driving that. So she drives him
or he drives her pretty much across town, pulls up
in front of the castle, lets her out, helps her
with the bag, and then she comes up to the
roof er. I'm waiting. She not one time knew that
was her own brother driving there, till the next morning
he showed up a brunch wearing the mustache, and she
(39:49):
was like, were you my chauffeur? And it was him.
The whole time, I could not believe it worked, could
not believe it. But he drove her there and full disguise,
and she didn't.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Know ad as a performance as you did that night.
His performance couldn't believe equally as good.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
And it was his idea, because you know, I asked
him mission for permission beforehand. He had that idea, and
I thought, you know, I want to include him. They're
very close. It's her brother. But I just don't think
this is gonna work.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
She would have probably believe it.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
She had recognized those looking his eyes, tod he I
maybe you have sung glass, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
Sung okay, And he would just grunt when she would
ask questions. But it worked. Couldn't believe it. A little experience,
all right.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
So now I've got the amount of money that it
was sold for in twenty seventeen. Do you want to
take a guess? Well, this is after it was refinished,
so i'll get it was a two million dollar renovation.
So I'll give you the start there. I'll guess twelve million,
little under, little under.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
You want to take a guess, I'll go under whatever
Ryan said.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
I said, twelve million, little lunch. So it was eight
point seven million, eight point seven million.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
Sorry, I was reading something Mario was showing me there
so I have no clue what you all were just
talking about.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
Got a little distressed the price of the cast pocket change.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
Oh yeah, that's about what I would have guessed. I
would have said around ten twelve.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
You know, we were also out there for the country
music songwriters. Oh I just remember much were so good.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
Please bring those back. Who was a d Vincent Williams.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Vincent Williams.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
God, that really was one of my favorite things because
I mean their songwriters, you don't really know the names
to get there, but then they tell the stories of
how these famous songs came to be and they play it.
I miss those. Those are a lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
Tell the story of the song and then they play
the song. It was awesome. There was usually always four
of them. Yeah, songwriters out there. They have written some
big time major song We never missed it. So uh,
that's kind of some more Woodford County. We haven't even
got to the famous people yet. So there's a lot
of people we.
Speaker 4 (41:31):
Want to have county. And I'd like to mention while
I'm in with Woodford County, I'm sweating through my T shirt.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Is very very i am got sweatstains all over the place.
