Speaker 1 (00:06):
Welcome everyone.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It is the local Toy Dealers KSR postgame show. The
Cats beat Tennessee Tech forty two to ten in Croger
Field and the final home game of the year Senior Day,
to bring their record to five and five and one
win away from Bowl eligibility. I'm here in Geneva, Ohio

(00:29):
at the Corkscrew Tap House.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Is that the name of this place? That's it cork
Screw Tap House? With that's the name.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Voice you heard is Drew Franklin, Billy r Sports. Billy
Rutledge is here.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Mario is here too, he's taking pictures.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
We are on our way to Buffalo, New York, but
we stopped in Geneva, Ohio to do this show. They've
been very nice here to us, and we have food,
diet coke, Drew as a beer. Mario drank a cocktail
in three point three seconds. And as if Billy is
here as well, Drew Kats get a win and we
are on our way to Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Could win.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
I know some people had a little fear in the
unbeaten Golden Eagles from Texas Tennessee Tech, but we saw
rather quickly the difference in uh.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I guess just size and ability. Especially.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
I know we'll get to Bowie's big day, but on
that run he had, we saw the disparity and why
that game never was closed.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I think that the big difference in the game is
in games like this is on the line, is on
the line of scrimmage, and Kentucky owned it, especially on offense.
They kind of were able to run the ball at will,
they got a first down.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I mean, they really were able to move the ball
whenever they won it.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
The only couple times they were stopped once they for
some reason went a sweep on third and two, which
is a bad call, and then I think they were
stopped on fourth down once when they went for it.
They could have kicked a field goal. Otherwise they scored
every time. The offense dominated, the defense dominated the first half,
second half, they gave a couple of drives, but ultimately
a nice win.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
A lot of guys got to play cutter bowling.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Looks great, really great. And now you got two games
left in the year, chance to go to a Bowl.
Two of your the teams you kind of consider your rivals,
and two teams that have been good this year, so
you win one of those could be a great finish.
To the to the season eight nine, twenty two eighty seven.
We want to talk about it, We'll talk about the game. Uh,

(02:22):
we can talk about the season, the program. Honestly, this
is a Saturday night on a road trip where we're
having fun.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
This is Billy's first road trip. He's had an epic
performance so far. You know, he brought an old plastic
orange suitcase that looks to be from the late thirties
that you saw like Grandma's carry.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Vintage is what I would call it.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Vintage.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Also not the you don't. I mean I fly a lot.
You don't even see those in airports ever. Like usually
if you were to see something like that, it usually
means like it's either an old person or a cry.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I'm being committed.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Oh, this is a business trip for me. Oh, I'm
just taking it to another level.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
You haven't ever thought about updating the technology for your bags.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
It's pretty updated. You can actually lock it. There's a
key with it, so I mean it's uh like.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
What Samsoni's done with with that.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
It's pretty high tech.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
You know what if he were to take that on
an airplane, I think they'll let you smoke if you
wear a suit and carry that bag. They'll like, yeah, man,
have a cigarette.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
They probably would let you smoke.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
You would you would didn't get in trouble, you'd call
the flight attendant, doll.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
That's what you have a little palmade in your head
with the chomb and that's right. Uh.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
And then but this was very nice, Billy you you
you know, we.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Asked you to bring you snacks and you packed. This
was very nice.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
If you you packed a veggie tray, which is what's
very few when four guys go on and road trip
to see a NFL game, very rarely do you see
a veggie tray.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
But you brought a veggie truck.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
I'm very disappointed in your all's reaction to the veggie tray. Uh,
every buddy it loved it. I mean, the carrots were
gone in a matter of seconds.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
I didn't like the ca carrits went quick.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
I do like carrots, and Drew and Mario went online
seconds later the blaste me for ringing a veggie tray
on the trip.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
You guys seem to enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I don't think the response was gonna be that bad.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
The response was bad, but you also had people like
one person wrote that you were a healthy king. Like
there were people who said that they like veggie, so
like you known't.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
He was pretty much.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Universal negativity on your suitcase. But it was not universal
negativity on your veggie trip.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
I didn't do it for the audience. I did it
for me and us staying healthy. I mean, probably the
only vegetable you'll eat on the trip. So you're welcome.
And just wait until I bring out what's.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Next in the bag. There's more trust me.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
I were donna have like a mystery bag.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Squares, No, you're not that lucky.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Come on, is the bag the suitcase? Because don't forget
the code charcuterie.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
No that that was your charcuterie. Oh guitar there.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
I will say, Billy's been a good road trip.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeh, talkative, it doesn't sleep, you know, he's only been
a few hours.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Yeah, it's it's a change because normally it's right in
the front seat. The other guys in the back. I've
had Drew in the front seat, had good conversations, we
had the game on on the and then Billy was
you know back there, Uh, letting things happen during the depression.
And it's been Uh, it's it's it's been it's been great.
Now let's talk about the game for a second. Cutter

(05:24):
was excellent. Obviously, the play everybody will focus on is
when he ran over that guy, but just in general
through for like two hundred and forty yards or something.
Thought he made good decisions. Obviously It's not the best
team in the world, but more good development from Cutter
and the announcers, the ESPN guys who I'd never heard of.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Who were those guys? What we had?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
My guy Rocky Boyman from the Titans. He was a
linebacker at Notre Dame. He was the color anis the
play by play guy?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Couldn't tell you well? They were both very praise worthy
of Cutter. I thought it was a good Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
I think he had like three incompletions. I asked this
taper room to give me an official box score. I
like to hold on to it. They didn't have one. Yeah,
he was eighteen for twenty one. That's got to help
his percentage, which was already top five in the SEC.
He's pushing seventy percent on the year. Is a sixty seven,
sixty eight.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
A lot of young receivers got Kindrick Law was great.
He's not young but he but one of our receivers
than you know, DJ Miller had a good drive SETH
mcgawan three touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
That's I don't think we talk enough about how good
he's been this year. We know had the injury, but
Stoops has always needed a good running back and this
one's been more of a stable when he got it.
But that's an NFL running back. I think he's gonna
have a chance to make a team. That dude's been great.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
The offensive line was excellent, Like you won on third
and one, third and two easy first down. They got
those the whole game. We were in that situation a lot.
They got it the whole game. Defense allowed one bad drive,
but in general I thought played well.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
You know, it was interesting.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
They kept acting like at some point Tennessee Tech would quit,
but then they never really did. They kept playing their starters,
and I thought Kentucky did really well.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
It was a good day.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
I mean, like, this is a good day like last night,
in the sense of, you know, it's a good weekend
for Kentucky sports. It's not gonna You're not gonna sit
there and say, well, this is the best team that's
ever existed, But you do what you're supposed to do,
and so that's good.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Take care of business, and now you set up an
exciting end to the season. I mean three weeks ago
you were dead in the water. Stups was already out
the door. And now there's a chance to get seven
wins on the season.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
I just remembered, I bet the over four and a half.
Do they pay that out when it happens? That's five wins.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Everybody made fun of me when I bet that. Look
at us now, so yeah, they did hit the over four. Yeah,
well draft gings paid out. Yeah, look at you rich guys. Yeah,
party on.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
This scoop of Cheetos is on you. By the way,
you know you're not in the South. When there's one
television in here, they can only have one thing on
at a time, and they all chose Cleveland Cavaliers basketball.
Alabama's playing Oklahoma. No, we're not putting that on. It's
Cleveland Calves versus someone I don't even know.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Did I hear her say Alabama was on? And everyone
demanded the change it to that.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I know that Alabama Oklahoma was on, and then they
said no, someone in here requested the Calves. This bar
is a very nice bar, but it's very much a
who he who requests it gets it. So the Grizzlies
and the Calves are playing each other. If I was
at home, those are the two teams that are blacked.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Out for me.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
But oh yeah, you can't watch the Grizzlies. So this
is maybe the only time I see.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Either team play.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yes, why everybody's here to watch it all year along?
Any other takeaways for you from the.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Game, Well, not from the game, from the road trip.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
I barely watched the game, but you did a U
turn as soon as we got in the car. I
mean I was ready for my U turn counter and
we did my coat at home.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
I don't want to go to Buffalo without a jacket,
so we had to turn around and get the get
the coat.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
We got it.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
We make good time, by the way, I mean we
are north of Cleveland now, only have about two hours left.
And I thought we'd be getting home getting there like midnight.
We're gonna get there like nine, nine thirty. We have
a little Bufalo time.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah, it's gonna be the other time for Buffalo hit
the streets.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Have been here even earlier. If we didn't have to
wait for Mario and his McRib earlier today.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
It's true, Mario, we stop. We're like, everybody, let's go
jump in the gas station, get something quick, and Mario
orders a McRib and uh, you know they had to
go and like slaughter a calf in order to be
able to get it. So that took us a little
bit of a detour. But nevertheless we are Did you
not enjoy the veggie trae?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
I like care.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
It's just not what I expected it. It's not when
we get in the car I usually expect. Okay, I'm
gonna eat poorly this weekend. Like the last two or
three days before we left, I ate a little better
than I normally do because I was like, I'm gonna
have my nerd gummy clusters. You know, I'm probably a
lot of wings, so I'm gonna just like I'm gonna
space out and and and and and then have a
bad food. When we walk in and you're you know,

(09:46):
you have radishes. It's just not what I was expecting.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
A little ranch. I mean, you got something to dip in.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
It was yeah, I mean it wasn't the ranch so much.
It was it was all the green. It's just not
something I saw Barcoley's got.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
A little bit of a smell and you don't really
notice it until you're in a closed space.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
But I'm not hating Billy.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
That was my first vegetable, so I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Frankly did have a little bit of a smell. No, no,
you added, so the car just smells a little bit different.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Part of this is the road trip is new to you,
but you're also new to us on the road. We're
used to Ryan up in the front and Shad like that.
We're still learning everything.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
I mean, there's a decent Drew and I have probably
spent Drew's worked for KSR for seventeen years and some
form Drew and I have probably spent of those seventeen
years half a year on the road together. I mean
we've probably spent literally half a year on the road,

(10:42):
and so we know each other, like we know you
have added a while Mario two, but you've added a
wild car.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Vegetables have never seen that car.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
No one has ever brought a vegetable into our presence,
and it's just like we're having to get used to it.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Well, I'm happy to be a boored with you guys.
It a good time. We're gonna hit the town tonight, right.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Drew, Yes, we absolutely are. After I get through these
delicious this delicious food here, I am only eating buffalo
wings until I'm back at likes to nine am, bring
me buffalo wings noon six, every mule and.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
The speed in which Mario drank that cocktail when we
sat down, I knew that tonight was probably we're gonna
get into the We are here.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
At the cock house. I mean, oh, what's the name
of this place? So that's our Airbnb?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Uh, what's the name corner cornerstone, right, cornerstone, that's I
think that's what I said.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
The corner Stone. Corkscrew Corkscrew Tap House.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
You can see how I got Yeah, the other Corkscrew
tap house in Genevo, Ohio.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
It's right off the interstated on the lake.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
You so, Pepe, I would like for if you have
infinetmation about Genevo, Ohio, would like it. I already have
our first piece of information. This guy said to me,
this is amazing. Okay, this is a Genevo, Ohio thing.
This is amazing. On April twelfth, nineteen sixty six, the
town of Geneva declared itself lunar ownership. The city put

(12:05):
out a proclamation that contained thirty five signatures that said
it was claiming physical ownership.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Of the moon the citizens of Ohio.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
The proclamation says, quote, physical property and moon shall belong
exclusively to the citizens of Geneva, Ohio, and any unfriendly
acts upon the city will be responded to with all
human dignify, with human dignity and moral circumspection, for also
being indecent acts towards the moon. The city claimed the

(12:38):
right to rent the moon to visitors, and a two
thirds vote of the city population provided all citizens eight
hundred acres of land on the moon.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Wow, what made them think that they could do that?
I respect it?

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Do they just look like, if you think about it,
people who came to America just said this is ours.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Right.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
There was no court that said when they came to
the Jamestown Colony it was theirs.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
They just decreed, this is ours.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
So the people of Geneva, Ohio decreed that over the
moon and they hadn't even.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
Been well, nobody had at that point.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
So exactly, so you have to give them credit for
their gumption.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
They held a vote in this city and two thirds
of the city just decided we own the moon.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Now, was there any pushback from anyone else or did
everyone's like whatever?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Let genevaould be crazy if it would be funny though
if one day, because at some point there might be
a dispute.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Over who owns the moon.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah, he goes to the Supreme Court and they say,
but looks like Geneva.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Ohio, this has been done years ago.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Guys, thirty five signatures. That's hard than you have.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
How many signatures do you are? So like it? Well,
that's our first fact.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
We're gonna find a better fact than that one. So
we are here in Geneev, Ohio. We are on the road.
We will take a break, take your calls. Feel free
to talk about basketball or football. Who cares, right, it's
it's we beat Tennessee Tech forty two to ten.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
This is the local toylet Dealers KSR postgame show Runner
back and is a Local Toy Dealers KSR postgame show.
We're gonna take you up to seven o'clock when they're
kicking us out for music. If you want to text
me and keep me up to date on Alabama Oklahoma,
that'd be nice. I can tell you that Memphis leads
Cleveland by eight but I don't think I'm gonna be
able to know what happens in Oklahoma, Alabama.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Just a great college football slate tonight, exactly right.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
One person says, Matt, I'm glad to see in the
picture you're letting Drew eat on the trip.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Actually, I haven't eating. I had one pretzel.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Another person rites Billy suit case looked like it came
through Ellis Island.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
It'll be here long after we're got too.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I'm sorry it is the same.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Gonna go ahead, and this is gonna be This is
not gonna be the most X and O post game show.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
We've ever had.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
I think understandable.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
If you were up to me, we would do this
every time. It just got nasty outside? Is it rainy?
Glad we didn't do the show outside if I'm nine
two eight oh twenty two eighty seven?

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Also another are you ready for another fact about to
about Geneva. Geneva was in the early nineteenth century, excuse me,
twentieth century, early nineteen hundreds, a late destination for the
wealthy of America. The Rockefellers used to summer here.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Oh okay, that's big, Tom, I mean the lake is
right here. Were they part of the moon owning is
that the will.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
No when person rides matt what's a fifty year interest
rate for one hundred acres on the moon.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
You may be around some rich people right now.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
They don't Yeah, I mean they don't look it, but
you know, rich people don't necessarily have to show their mommy, especially.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
When you're on the Moon.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
When I look this place up online, it was it
was giving Gatlinburg of Ohio very touristy.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
So we haven't we're not in down. Yeah, we didn't
go to that part. Does Shane Gett Beemer get fired?

Speaker 2 (16:16):
After South Carolina was up thirty to three at halftime,
he was taunting the A and M fans going into
the locker room, and then they lost thirty one to thirty.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
That was so wild.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
I mean, he would have been better off just going
there and losing, you know, just trailing the whole game.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
If they had lost thirty one fourteen, he'd be better
off than what happened.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
If you search his name on Twitter, it's actually a
fun rate if you go back to the beginning of
the game, because there's a bunch of people praising him.
He's off the hot seat. They're back and at the
end of the game, gotta go absolutely not. That game
was bananas though with that And is.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
That that video real of him telling the fans to
yeah it saw.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
I guess there's a lot of South Carolina people around.
I mean he's still, you know, on the road doing
that at halftime. And then I saw, what do you
make it?

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Before that game?

Speaker 3 (16:57):
The SEC was two hundred and eighty seven and oh
when a team led by twenty seven points?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
What do you make of the of the cop there
with the with the South Carolina player?

Speaker 1 (17:06):
That was crazy?

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (17:07):
And then I saw that he was dismissed from his
game day duties.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Yeah, and they made sure to say it too, so
everybody knew. For me, we haven't seen it. This cop
like bumps into a player. The cop bumps into him
and the looks of the player and goes.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Like, what do you do it?

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Well, it's two South Carolina players looking at each other
and he splits them like they're not even looking forward.
He's at fault and he raises his arm on both
of them and then scolds them.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah, there's no question who's at fault there he so
does he do with fault?

Speaker 3 (17:34):
You can't handle your football team being down. I don't
know if you're in the right profession there, sir.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Hi, who's up their Gavin, Dennis and Richmond go ahead.

Speaker 7 (17:47):
Hey you got that three. Well, what you're feeling on
the next two games?

Speaker 8 (17:57):
Uh's Louisville.

Speaker 9 (18:00):
I'm sure you've seen the comments by other quarterbacks saying that.

Speaker 10 (18:04):
Uh that they've got culture problems and they can only
be fixed in the offseason.

Speaker 8 (18:08):
What's your take on that?

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Oh did he say that? I did not see that.
Did he say that I didn't Yes.

Speaker 8 (18:14):
He said that.

Speaker 11 (18:15):
I actually obviously seen I actually seen the interview when
he said it.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Okay, see, I didn't know that. I didn't know that's
it actually worked for word what he said.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
There's a culture thing and an off season thing that's
gonna need to be addressed. Wow, that's amazing because he's
the fans, the Lowell fans don't like him, so that's interesting.
I didn't know that. I think they're both beatable. To
answer your question, Dennis, I think I think Vandy and
Louisville are both beatable. We're gonna be an underdog in
both games, Dennis, But I think we have a shot.
I mean, I think Louisville probably a better shot again

(18:45):
than Vandy. But you heard the announcers say they actually
think we match up pretty well with Vandy. So I
guess we'll wait and see.

Speaker 7 (18:54):
Is running is Louisville's running back Askan Brown?

Speaker 10 (18:57):
He out for the year?

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (19:00):
If he is?

Speaker 2 (19:01):
I mean he played last night, didn't he am? I
I mean I did, he did, so I don't know. Again,
you may know more about all this than I do,
because I have not seen any Louisville news today, So
I appreciate the call. We'll look up and see if
Isaac Brown's out. But I did I just I'm watching.
I'm seeing the Miller moll quaw. That's a bad quote.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, i'd say so.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Usually that's something you'd want to keep yourself and handle internally.
But it seems like he's over his Litill experience and
aaron that we.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Have a culture problem that's gonna need to be addressed
in the off season.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
What might be addressed by they don't have him?

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Yeah, I mean it's like they don't have anything to
play for. You still got your rivalry game coming up too.
I would not want my quarterback saying those things.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
In the two tweets I see are the quote and
then a woman named Jen saying I will not attend
another game where Miller Moss is.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
On the roster, so you can't lose Jen. That's that's
tough for a little add that to the list.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Well, so there you go. I don't know. That's I mean,
we got a shot. I think we have a shot
against Vandy, do you uh?

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (19:58):
And I was gonna say, honestly, right now, would you
rather be Kentucky having fun getting momentum on the road
in that game, or Louisville just collapsing and terrified Kentucky
will come in and beat you.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Apparently Walk a Flock of Flame was at the game
today and he was taking pictures with kids. He would
ask them a math question and if they got it correctly,
he would take a picture.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Well that's good.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
I know.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
He has a concert in Licenming tonight and I'm glad
they got him over the field. It didn't look like
he was a part of you know, the intro or
anything like he did the time before, but good to
have him around.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Right there next to my house today in Chester music.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
Holl oh is that right?

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Does he know they didn't play a song in the
first game. Do you think he came to just check
were good?

Speaker 2 (20:37):
It's probably by the way they they called Lake Geneva's shoreline, Uh,
smoke on the water.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Every guitar player learns this riff. I know it interesting.
You know who?

Speaker 4 (20:49):
You give me a guitar, I could do the water
right now here.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
We go and it's and it's about Geneva.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
There's a band setting up right now connection the Geneva
and that and that guy. I don't know that, but
I can tell you that is what every.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Again, the rock failer's apparently vacation in Wisconsin at Lake Geneva.
So that was just made Do not tell me the
moon thing is made up. I'm going with that. Who's next, Nate?
Go ahead, Nate.

Speaker 9 (21:16):
Yeah, guys, how you are doing doing good?

Speaker 8 (21:20):
Good?

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Good?

Speaker 12 (21:20):
So I just wanted to mention.

Speaker 13 (21:22):
I did send in a couple of texts.

Speaker 9 (21:24):
What about the was it thirty two graduate seniors they
had on their team today, which I'm totally proud of
those guys that came in, showed out.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
So and so forth.

Speaker 9 (21:33):
But what I really want to get to is, like
Kendrick Law his family. I got to meet them today.

Speaker 8 (21:37):
Super great people.

Speaker 9 (21:39):
I just so wish we could have got Cutter Bowley
earlier in that old miss game, so literally, so he
could prove himself so and so forth. And I'm gonna
have to mention that my brother is about to be
with Bobob this week doing an audit with his company
and shout out middles.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Girls, all right, yes, say tell Bob hello, hey.

Speaker 9 (21:58):
Boat, Bobob is my Yeah, the first time long time
and listening to this show religious leave for twelve years,
and my heart is beating extra bats.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Right, Well, thank you, that's very nice of me. I
appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Who off to that as well, thank you very much,
and say how to Bobo.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Kendrick claud played well tonight.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
There is a part of me that wishes the version
of Kentucky you see now you could have seen at
the beginning of the year, including playing Cutter Bowley but
also using Kendrick law morning. It's just it's a different
group now, you know.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
That's part of my frustration, even though they won. Like,
I don't know anything about evaluating quarterback. I don't go
to practices, but I did get invited to two and
immediately ran back was like Bowie looked better than Calzada
both days. So I just I know you have the
commitment and there's politics there, but I do wonder what
it would look like if he had had the rains
from the beginning and not just in the first game

(22:52):
camp with the ones being the leader in the locker room.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
It could have changed everything.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Do you see these people, Murray are looking at me like,
what are they doing? Are they making fun of our
moon ownership?

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Do you think you heard it as long as they questioned?
Run over on my left shoulder.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Yeah, they are staring us. They're staring a hole through
us right now. It's and they look like you know
when they go to that when they go to that
restaurant and dumb and dumber.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Yeah, you're talking about that. Well, he walks in, he
goes be landed on the moon. Those guys come over
from the booth. Who's look a little bit like that?

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Oh they don't know they're messing with a guy that
has had broccoli and carriage today.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
I'm looking for trouble. Who's next, Jacob? Go ahead, Jacob?

Speaker 9 (23:39):
And that?

Speaker 14 (23:41):
Two things I thought that suits comments after the game
about preparing for the future and using ward and some
other guys in the second half. I thought it was
just interesting, you know, and found a deft He's a
guy that had the foot out the door. It sounds

(24:02):
like you.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
It was interesting because it's it's a little different than
the comments he made a week or two ago. But
he did talk about preparing for the future seeing guys.
I think he tried to play both of the freshman
quarterback we did quarterbacks. We didn't get a second possession
for Stone Saunders or as Ryan called him, Storm Sanders
to get to play in it. But but yeah, you're right,

(24:27):
it did sound like a guy not necessarily playing on
stepping away.

Speaker 14 (24:32):
Yeah. Then the second thing, I just find it funny
that if Louisville were to lose out, and if we
were to win out, then we would both be seven
and five. That would bet.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
That would be absolutely amazing. I appreciate the call. It
really would.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
If if we were to win out and they were
to lose out and we would have the same record
and the tiebreaker over them, WELLO would have predicted that.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
History's on our side. It's been like decades since they've
won both. Do you season same year?

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Are you does the fact that we're now five and five,
does that make the Texas game even more frustrating.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
A little bit? And what we were just saying about
what could have this been? If you know, in the
beginning of camp, Bowdley has the locker room and in
practices he's with the ones. Maybe you win the Ole
Miss game one of those other ones. But Texas, especially
where you're on the one yard line and you have
a guy where you went out to punch it in.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
From the one yard line and you can't do it.
What are you doing?

Speaker 4 (25:29):
By the way you've been Yeah, I was looking for
Geneva facts, But.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Do you have any facts?

Speaker 4 (25:34):
No, I think you have all of Google And.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
The only fact is the moon thing. Nobody's from here.
There's got to be somebody from here. I did look
at the notable people.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
They didn't They just like somebody from Malcolm in the
Middle was about Yeah, And like one.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
NFL player there was somebody from Malcolm in the Middle.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
Yes. And it's the heart of Wine Country.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I don't believe that for one second.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Okay country, the.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Heart, Well, this is the heart of Wine Country.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
It feels like I used to always hear about the
northeast Ohio wine.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
It's here the French country side.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
You get Napa, France, Portugal, Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Twenty two eighty seven. Who's next? What you got?

Speaker 3 (26:22):
The founder of the Oldsmobile car is the best on
the notable people. That's good, Ransom Olds. They still make
Olds one a YouTuber. I remember my grandfather.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
When he got an Oldsmobile, like he was really like
he was really proud of that.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
That was that was a vehicle. It was a big
time vehicle. They still Billy Billy probably has one. And
then the color player brought it with a suitcase.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
That suitcase came with an Oldsmobile in sixty one. All right,
go ahead, who's next, Billy? Go ahead, Billy.

Speaker 11 (26:54):
Hey, it wasn't today. Just refreshing because you know, my
family's had season tickets for forty years, and how many
times have we come into a game like this and
you know, either it's way closer than it should be
or Heaven forbid, some years we've lost it. And you know,
I saw more people. I saw a bunch of kids
down there at the breezeway getting pictures taken by the

(27:17):
one oh one members with the stadium in the background.
I mean, it just it seemed like a really great
atmosphere tonight, and it was one that this is what
we should do against teams like this, and I was
glad to see that that's how that this that's how
this game turned out.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Totally agree with you that I think that's a great
way to put it. I appreciate called this is how
games like this should go, and it did and that's
not taken. I mean, there was a time where people
thought earlier in the year we could lose this game,
and now it was never really in jeopardy.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
That's good to see and I'm.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Glad to hear the turnout was pretty good, and you're
right even we mentioned us on the pregame show. It's
felt like a lot of kids at this game. I
know it's a game, you know, if you're a season
ticket holder, you go to all of maybe you pass
it off to people don't get to go, but I'm
guessing it was a lot of fans that aren't normally.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
In there and joined today.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Smoke on the Water is from Switzerland Geneva, so that's
now two facts.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Do they just claim all Geneva effects anything that happens
at any Geneva The convention that was not. They have
it here here the Geneva Convention. That's was that World
War two? Right?

Speaker 4 (28:18):
I think so?

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Well, guess what it didn't. Don't claim it here. You
only get the moon in Geneva, Ohio.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
You don't get there the big couple decades.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
There night seven. Let me get the you just say
the name so I don't screw it up again. What
the name of this place?

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Oh, Corkscrew Taphouse.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Corkscrew tap House. We are going to take a break
and be right back. It's the Local Toy Dealers KSR
Postgame Show. Farter Mackett is a little Toy Dealers KSR
postgame Show. We're in Geneva, Ohio, not far from Mark
stoops hometown of Youngstown, on our way to Buffalo tonight
to be driving through some Moraine.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
It looks like it looks like a what did Oklahoma?
Just take a feel going?

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Alabama?

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Did Alabama?

Speaker 2 (29:03):
So twenty four twenty four to twenty Oklahoma over irks me,
Alabama over Oklahoma. We've got it on a phone here,
We're not on a billy. Put it on the phone
so we have that caves are down seven. Don't worry.
That's on every television they do not make oldsmobiles anymore. Okay,

(29:24):
I mean that's an interesting fact, isn't Yeah. Sure, And
one person writes, Matt, I love to hear you all
this happy. I hope you have a great time a
text machine by the way, seven seven two seven seven
four five two five four. We are having great time,
and this is a quick trip. I mean, we'll be
done Monday, but tomorrow we'll be there at Orchard Park.

(29:44):
We're staying very close to the stadium. I'm doing my
ESPN show from there, and Billy allegedly has a bar
for us to do the show out.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
We'll find out in the morning if that happened.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
Before and after. I've got two different bars ready for us,
so it should be a good time.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
You're good. I'm impressed.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
You know, we keep playing up the Bills thing, but
I'm excited for Billy to see his bucks too. I
know this is a bill's experience, but you probably don't
get see ten it is.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
It is, and going into the locker room is going
to be a fun experience.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
You know.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
Are we only going into the winning team's locker room?
I think so.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
I mean this is a big deal for us too,
because we haven't really talked about it, but this is
our first time producing content for the NFL beyond the podcast,
so like we have to do a good job.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
This is kind of our try out to see if
we get to go to the super Bowl with it.
Do you think they would want me through a table
or not want me.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Through they'd want you through a table. I mean, you
guys are gonna have to do a lot of this.
I mean, because I'm doing the ESPN show, I'm not
gonna get to go to the tailgate lot. So a
lot of kind of the future of Cover zero is
down to you, three knuckleheads.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
I hope you're gonna be able to do it. If
there is ever an assignment I can handle. I think
this is it.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
Okay, well we'll find Pentel bean Ron and you know,
do the ketchup and mustard thing.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
I try. Funny should we do?

Speaker 3 (30:53):
You know my show me your tents that I used
to do at UK but that got old because I
saw every tailgate and Lexi and now I could bring
it to Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
I'm I think it's a great idea.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
I think whatever we do, you know that their their
rule was don't spend more than five thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
That won't be a shoe.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
And I got the most expensive house in Buffalo and
we still have three thousand dollars and.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
There will still be a bunk bed on there.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
So h yeah, you are sleeping on a bunk bed. Though,
just for the.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Way, I need you to understand, there have been trips, right,
I didn't have a bed at all, So you should
be thrilled.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
You have options.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
You have slept in a bathtub one night in the tug. Yeah,
there's one year.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
I just said, well i'll see you at eight am,
and I just left and stayed out all night.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
So so enjoy your bunk bed. You have options, hollow. Yeah,
who's up next? Jackson? Go ahead, Jackson.

Speaker 15 (31:45):
Hey, Matt, I'm thinking that most of them that are
looking at you are probably just wanting to see if
Billy has some more fruit that he'll give them. But
but of course, really happy on the game. The out
of teams, Well, they killed him, that's all you can
be happy about. I mean, nothing to be negative about
it at all. But the one thing I've found funny.

(32:08):
Did you notice the coach for Tennessee Tech wearing a
hoodie of his of his son, that is on the team,
and what did.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
You Well, I was senior day, and well, I mean,
I guess it wasn't senior day, but it was there.
He was already his son. I guess you're on the
SEC network. I was okay with it. I mean, they
did say about fifty times that was his son, and
they kept saying it like new people were tuning into
the game and hadn't heard him say, all of you
just joining us from this three minutes ago. But you know,

(32:37):
I didn't think I appreciate the call.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
I didn't think it. I think it's better like if
a dad wears the shirt of his son. I think
that's kind of like a proud moment.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
I think it'd be weird if the son wore the
dad unless he was like retiring.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
But I was fine with it. There's something about this level.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
You know, if it was like the Alabama coach wearing
his Sun's, you know, it would feel different. But they're
playing in the SEC. It's even well, they don't want
to play it. It's a big deal to them.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
And he already stuck his foot in his mouth with
the comments of you know, I didn't even want to
play this game versus Kentucky.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
That was the stupid.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
They played pretty hard for a game they didn't want
to be in. I felt like, you know, I mean
they were I think if we had, if we had
stopped them when it was twenty one to nothing, they
might have just not played in the second half.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
And then they scored, and so then I felt like
they had to keep They threatened a couple times.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
I mean, they had the miss chip shot phield goal,
they were down in the red zone. Their quarterback had
that wild run where we went into end.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
Yep, he's good, but it's just too in. The beer
taps over there.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Uh, pretty good. I like a local fair. This is
the place for those that can't see us, which would
be everyone. They have the bracelets where you pour your
own I like those trial little ounce here, a little
two ounces there, or do what Mario did.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
And just chug your drink.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Do what Mario did, order a fruity cocktail and finish
it in thirteen seconds. We literally cut him off because
this is a long night and I've been with drunk,
giggling Mario on trips and you have to give to
slowly down.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
We want that broccoli coming back up. Who's up next?

Speaker 4 (34:03):
I'll take care of him.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
James, go ahead, James.

Speaker 9 (34:08):
Hey, what's going on, guys? I just have two questions.

Speaker 14 (34:11):
Uh, First, this weekend for the text machine, do I
just send the facts to Billy or.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Exactly? I just sent him with facts and yeah, you
should be able to get it.

Speaker 14 (34:24):
Second question, Uh, I hate to bring this up. I
hate to put you all on the spot, but it
seems like what we spent on Calzada is more or
less kind of a sunken cost at.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
This point a great pass rusher or something else.

Speaker 14 (34:38):
So in your estimate, what do you think was the
cost to bring Calzada here over Bowley?

Speaker 1 (34:47):
I've heard I appreciate the call, like one point five million.
I saw someone report that recently. I don't know that.
I believe that.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
I heard in his recruitment that he still might not
get as much as Bowie. He didn't have any options,
Like no, I mean, I.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Bet he's I betty, I would be surprised if it
was less than a million. I mean, quarterbacks in the
SEC that's just what they make, So it is a
sunk cost. But I mean, I think we have to
This is part of the adjustment in fans' minds. We're
gonna have to have because this is gonna probably happen
every year. Right, You're gonna go get somebody and then

(35:21):
they're not gonna pay out And you can either sit
there and say coaches, I think have to be very
careful that they don't play guys because how much money
they get, right, Because there's gonna be times like in
this case where you just you did it, you got
it wrong. And I give Mark Stoops credit. He moved
on quickly, right, I mean he if it was a
sunk cost. I like that phrase.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
He just said, well, okay, let's keep going.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Because he's a football coach. In the middle of game,
you're not thinking about your busy shouldn't be. You paid
that money they're on campus for. Make sure they get
whatever you promised to them. We got games to win.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
I think that's the key is that you just you
treat it like a poker hand. I mean, when you
play poker, you don't sit there and think about the
bad decisions that led you to this spot. You have
to think about what's best to do in this spot.
And the biggest mistake people make, plain boker, is thinking
about what they wish they had done before and so I'm.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
This is gonna happen though every year.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
I mean, we're always gonna probably get a guy that
we shouldn't have paid that much. And you've still got
to go play the right guy. I mean Jeremy Macklin.
I mean he's given up. Jeremy Macklin made a lot
of money, hadn't really worked out, but they're still playing
the young guys.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
Well, people focus on Calzada. There are guys making a
lot of money who haven't even.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Played at all.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
There are plenty of people on that roster have full
of pockets that didn't even haven't done anything.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
Yeah, and quarterback regardless, you'll probably have to overpay some
just because of the position. But a guy like Cutter
Bowley should be paid handsomely. He's earned it.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
At this point.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
By the way, I was right. You corrected me and
said Alabama kicked the field goal. It was it was Oklahoma.
So I said Oklahoma kicked the field go and you went, no,
it was Alabama, but it was.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Oaklhod they're both read.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
I love that you do that.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
Sometimes what's up?

Speaker 1 (36:59):
You give me have vocal correction, but you're wrong.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
Well, you know, I thought I was right at the time.
It's all I have to say.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
I rely on you for facts.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Can you even play Smoke on the River or whatever
that was? I can What can we believe over there?

Speaker 4 (37:14):
No, that's like one of the first things you learned
on guitar.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
How's it go?

Speaker 4 (37:18):
Dunt dunk dun, dun't dunk dune up.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
I've heard that's smoke on the river. Okay, I didn't
know that's what there was. All right, who's next? Nick
from Lexington, go ahead a nine eighty.

Speaker 8 (37:34):
Seven man, I'll be quick. Uh you know how funny
is it gonna be when the end of the season
we go up against Miller Mob Jeff Brown, I love
it ruined this season, even though it's already ruined because
they're a trash organization.

Speaker 13 (37:53):
But we beat them by at least thirteen points, and then,
you know what, Supe's lifetime contract is much of a
hard time.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
I'll hang up with appreciate the call. I can't promise
the last one, but it would be. I mean, it
would be awesome if we ended up winning this game.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Right See, it is heading for that direction the way
things have changed. Leave deside the basketball and then getting
one up on us Kentucky has found momentum. They're playing
with confidence, they are playing with swagger. And you've got
Louisville's quarterback sitting in a press conference.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Sounded like he wants the season to end and that
there's turmoil behind the scenes.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Yeah, Big Blue, Olly says, well, Billy put up the
postgame show tonight on podcast or cassette tape.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
It won't be this the whole trip, Billy, Oh, it will.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
It's a really good line. I feel like both of
you should have laughed Darder at that one.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
For Botley, I'm just still reeling from the Oklahoma Alabama
store that I gave wrong.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
You say it confidently enough, and it sounds that's true.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I believed you were correct.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Ian says, Hey, Matt, you're gonna get great wings in Buffalo,
But I want to know you since the new opening,
the wings of Kspar are just as good.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
That's very nice. Have you got lots of compliments on
the new kid the.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
New food has I mean, it has improved the place
a lot. Who's up next?

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Justin?

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Go ahead, justin, Hey guys, how y'all doing what's going on?

Speaker 16 (39:22):
Y'all was talking about the shoulda Kuda Wooda with Texas. Obviously,
SUPs has been the most successful coach we've had. But
you think of all the wins that that's happened over
his career, and most of them have been against good teams.
It's kind of crazy to think about that he's been
the most successful coach.

Speaker 14 (39:40):
And there's a lot of wins that we've left out.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Of that's true. That's true.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
And you know, early in his career he actually didn't
do a good job at close games. But then in
the last five or six years he kind of flipped
that and we actually did a pretty good job at
close games.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
So my guess is, if.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
You were to look at his career, we've probably one
about as many as we should have. Early in his
career he did drop a lot of close ones, but
that's flipped. I mean, you take this year, Yes, you know,
we could have beaten Texas, but we also could have
lost to Auburn, right, so, I mean, you know, but
but uh, I think this year with Texas especially, it
was right there. So I think that's why we feel

(40:18):
that way.

Speaker 8 (40:21):
I'll have a.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Safe trip, thank you very much. A fun nine two
eighth twenty two eighty seven. Someone who would know tells
me that the kal Zada deal was base of seven
hundred and fifty thousand, with incentives that could go up
to two million. Probably ended up around nine hundred thousand
if he doesn't play more.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
I wasn't gonna throw out the number I heard in
the fall, but I heard around six fifty. So that's
right at seven. So I'm gonna believe that. I don't
believe the one point when.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
You heard the one point five. It would be if
he started every game during the year. I have been
an opportunity, Yeah, an opportunity thing. I don't know to
what extent I off and wondered, how to what extent
is that done? It probably should be done right now.
There are no rules about these things, so conceivably the
contract can look however you want it to, you know.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
And Calzada told us on media day on KSR when
Kentucky called, I was probably just gonna go try the league.
It's not like his phone was ringing off the hook.
So if you overpaid the COLN didn't have another offer,
that'd be a horrible leak. That's why I have a
hard time believing it's a big number.

Speaker 5 (41:22):
Right, A million dollars for a guy that hasn't had
much of a career, I mean, journy.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Well, he's given us, he's given us a slogan for
all time, Garrett gets your Money Right.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
That'll that'll live on and it's going.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
You know what's gonna be funny is what if we like,
what if we win the last two games and that's
like seen is that? I mean, you could point to
that as kind of the turning point of like UK
football popularity, Like it would be it would be amazing

(41:58):
if we finished seven to five and Get Your Money
Right becomes a thing that people are just like, it's
almost a positive.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (42:05):
We saw Cutter Bowley do the money dance with Calzada
right after it happened, so they seem to embrace it,
and so it could have been the turning point.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
I'm gonna be mean, but if we had half of
a marketing department in UK Athletics, you could do a
billboard like help us get our money up for our.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Collective, like we're getting our money up.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
For you know, stuff like that. There's all kinds of
clever ideas you need to lean into. Sure, you didn't
want Calzada doing it, but now the fans are chanting it,
the players are doing it Kentucky for Kentucky made T shirts.
Just go all in and make it a part of
the UK brand too.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Yeah, I mean, you know, an example of this is
I'm sure like Donald Trump didn't want to be arrested,
but once he was and it was there, they ended
up making that mugshot a thing. I'm not saying this
is exactly the same thing, but like might as well.
It's already they like, everybody's already seen it.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
And just a little nod.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
I mean you have to yell, Garrett, get your Mitch
Barnhardt doesn't need to be saying it, but just little
nod to that it happened because fans have really now
embraced it.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
I think that's what you have to do in today's
in today's work, I said, what did he just say that?

Speaker 1 (43:10):
God?

Speaker 2 (43:11):
So okay, So he wasn't mad, all right, all right?
I just wanted to make sure because these folks have
been nice at the Cocks cork screw. Uh you know, Alehouse, I.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Was about to add it to the Florida game. I
was walking on the concourse. People with fake really brought
fake like monopoly money to the game. There were signs
in the tailgate lot. Now if you got your fans
have latched onto something, because what else were they latching
on nothing?

Speaker 2 (43:34):
I mean, we weren't latching onto anything for a long time,
which was part of the problem. Eight fun nine, two eighth,
twenty two eighty seven. We are going to take a break,
come back. We are here in Geneva, Ohio, home of
the rock and Roll Start, the Rockefellers, the Moon. It's
all here. We'll be right back. It's a local toyo
Dealers KSR postcape show.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Welcome back.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
It is a local toy Dealers KSR post game show.
I have to say, you know, sometimes in the era
of like everybody sending messages on social media and.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
The text machine, it can like, you know, you could
get frustrated that people are always arguing, etc.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
But there is in the early days of KSR, a
lot of the communication we got during the show was
really funny because we didn't have a ton of listeners
and so the people who communicated.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
With us were really funny, especially on the old old
show thread on KSR.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
You remember a long time ago. So I will say
sometimes on night like to night tonight. I remember there
are still a lot of people I think are really
funny that are listening to this. And there are two
lines I really like everybody else. It's that they're so specific.
One person writes, you know, I have Ryan's cell phone
number and sometimes I text him. Could you give me

(44:45):
Billy's pagersom.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
And I also love this.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
Billy's suitcase looks like he should be getting off a
bus at a stop and opening it and pointing out
the harmonica to play for coins. I don't know why
I think that's so funny. I actually think that's a
really funny because it does kind of look like you're
a drifter. Yeah, like you're coming to a city looking

(45:11):
for work.

Speaker 5 (45:12):
I am traveling. I just needed a good bag, a
good briefcase.

Speaker 11 (45:17):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (45:18):
Billy, I feel bad. I'm the one that put out
the veggie. I didn't know the veggie reaction was going
to be one tenth of what it was.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
Well, you should feel bad because you said you liked it,
and then you did that.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
I did like it.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
I ate a carrot.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
I didn't need the brown broccoli.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Carrots are an underrated snacket. They are, and uh so,
but we're still gonna laugh about you. Who's next, Jay Rock?

Speaker 1 (45:43):
How are you? J Rock?

Speaker 4 (45:44):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (45:44):
No, Billy, Hey, what's going on? Yeah, it's been a
while since that being on the show previously known as
a Billy R Sports postgame Show, Now it's the Karl
Screener Carl Post Games Show from the cot Screw Tavern.
As you would say, But like Madison, I got to things, Matthew,
I have one thing. What is the three? What is

(46:05):
the three things? And do you want to see on
your vegetable tray?

Speaker 17 (46:13):
Carrot?

Speaker 1 (46:14):
Carrots? Uh? The little sweet pickles? Okay, you know I'm.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
Talking about the little tiny pickles that'll be sweet. And
I guess broccoli, what about you? Not the one, not
what Billy had, the smelly brocli, but the rest of
the broccoli.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
I don't really do vegetables. I have to. I have
to like blend them into a juice and chug them.
You don't really don't like vegetables.

Speaker 3 (46:35):
I mean I'll eat them, but like I don't have
I don't have a power ranking. Like literally this week
I took all kinds of vegetables from my friends, so
I'm going bad, put them in a juicer and chugged
it in two seconds, just to get my vegetables off.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
I do like a good green juice and.

Speaker 4 (46:47):
Not allot to talk about the cheese cubes and beef
jerkey that was there too.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
No, the focus was on the broccoli, mostly because of
the smell of it.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
It was hard, it was hard not to focus on it.
Who's next, Dale, Go ahead, Dale. I'm sorry, Philly suitcase
witnessed the JFK.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
Go ahead Dale, Dale, All right, no, yes, go ahead, sir.

Speaker 16 (47:18):
Oh you got two things.

Speaker 7 (47:19):
It's like everybody yell.

Speaker 8 (47:20):
First of all, Gary, get.

Speaker 11 (47:22):
The money raise because eighty times get ready to happen.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
But that would be amazing. What if they finished eight
and five?

Speaker 2 (47:29):
I mean literally, like I mean it's it's not crazy,
and it would be an unbelievable change.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
Yeah, all uh allah.

Speaker 11 (47:38):
Howard Dean, I got something you, Matt.

Speaker 9 (47:40):
We're going to.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
Win. We're going to little, We're gonna we're going.

Speaker 17 (47:46):
To the.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
You if you had just finished with that, then you
would have had it, because that.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
Was good, Howard Dean.

Speaker 2 (47:56):
Howard Dean, Yeah, uh first time I the first time
I ever really spent any time on the Internet was
in on Howard Dean's Like I was part of Howard
Dean's DC meetup group in.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
Two thousand and four. Wow, save some fun for the
rest of it.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
That's what I really thought the Internet had real capability.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
It's a lot more out there.

Speaker 2 (48:25):
No, And actually, Howard Dean, to be honest with you,
played a role in the start oft KSR because Howard
Dean used his blogs to kind of create momentum which
he then blewe but momentum for his candasy out of nowhere.
And when I started KSR, one of the things I
looked at was how Howard Dean had done his blogs.
Because I really stayed away from the Internet. Then I

(48:45):
was like, well, if Howard Dean's on it.

Speaker 1 (48:47):
But I'm not.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Even kidding, Like, like, if you were to sit there
and say, what were the things I kind of looked at,
one of them was Howard Dean's blogs.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
Wow, you can't even know that.

Speaker 3 (48:59):
No, probably can't say what I looked at on the
Internet when I first got it, but it definitely wasn't.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
You had a different experience. You had a different experience
with the Internet.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
There's just a lot out there, you know. I wasn't
into the Howard Dean meetups. I didn't my algorithm didn't put.

Speaker 1 (49:11):
Me there, Billy.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
When I was at law school at Duke, there would
be times that the entire Duke Law computer lab would
be on a website that was called hot or Not
dot com.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
Do you remember that?

Speaker 2 (49:25):
And you would just say yes or no, and they
would just have people's pictures on there.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
And one time, like there was one for the state
of North Carolina and someone put the whole Duke law
class on it, and so like you could look and
see what percentage writing you got.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
It was a little yeah, like show it would show.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
It would go like if you said Billy hot, it
would go sixty eight percent of people think Billy's hot.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
And like but like it. But back then, like you
didn't get to permission someone to just do it.

Speaker 4 (49:54):
Yeah, you know, that's the start of the social network.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
I think they ended up shutting it down, but they
did that. Who's next, Wayne, Go ahead, Wayne.

Speaker 17 (50:06):
Hey, Matt, how's it going doing good? I got a
hot take for you. Okay, Mark Hope sacrificed his win
so we could go and beat him in ouival beat
orval in football.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
Well, I mean that's been Juris point, which is that
we haven't lost them both to them in many years,
maybe this is it's the opposite.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
Of what we would have been a long time. I
want to say, like two thousand and five or something. Crazy. Yeah,
go ahead, sir.

Speaker 6 (50:35):
Okay, and uh I uh so I think once you
get boeligible, do you think we either go seven and
six or six seven?

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Man? There you go.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Have you seen all the videos of all the kids
at these basketball games going crazy when that happened.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
Well, last night we were sitting on sixty five and
you could hear the kids getting excited, and then I
think Cam Williams splashed a three and they booed, they
wanted sixty seven, and he jumped straight to sixty.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Yeah, it's the kids love it. One of the more
amazing trends effort.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
But they had all these basketball games where they were
like kids get in free, and I think it was
like I think it was South Dakota and the stands
were filled with children, and when they got to sixty seven,
the place absolutely went nuts.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
I mean, the kids were losing their mind.

Speaker 2 (51:18):
And if you watch the video, the announcer has no
idea what's happening. The announcer is just talking like it's normal.
And these kids are going insane and the announcer does
not even act like it's happening.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
At the UK volleyball game that happened against Tennessee, it
was six to seven, and there's just this loud roar,
and I'm looking around, like, what did I miss? It's
kind of dead. Look up, there's sixty seven on the screen.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
Yeah. By the way, if we.

Speaker 2 (51:43):
Would you want to go If Kentucky were to go
to a bowl game, would you want to go to it?
I mean, do you think our fans would if would
they get into a bowl game?

Speaker 3 (51:52):
I think the destination city would matter, okay, because I
think one of them is like right up against Christmas
somewhere not very good.

Speaker 2 (51:58):
Or I think the more likely scenario, if you just
look at the way it would play out, would be
Memphis for the Liberty Ball. I mean you could drive
down there.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
I can see that. It's like the twenty seventh.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
I think, or something later or no, maybe actually I
think it's after the first of the year. I want
to say, maybe it's January third or something like that.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Yeah, as long as you're not just right up against Christmas,
I don't think we're enthusiastic enough to change your holiday plans.
But if it's in a spot where people are a
little more able to go, everybody likes would.

Speaker 1 (52:24):
You want to see that?

Speaker 2 (52:25):
By the way, can we talk about the fact that
no one, I mean, we're we're like five minutes left
the show, no one's mentioned is Markston just safe now?

Speaker 1 (52:33):
Like? Is he just seems like it? Is it just
I thought that.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
A relationship that we thought was certain to end two
weeks ago?

Speaker 1 (52:42):
Is it just? Is he just safe now?

Speaker 3 (52:46):
I mean the caller made that point about how he
played for the future instead of letting bo Allen and
Calzada kind of have their last snaps. I don't think
there's nothing to that letting those guys go, because it
did show that he's thinking about getting them to their
opportunities so you can lean to him next year.

Speaker 5 (53:01):
A bad loss to Louisville would still leave a pretty
bad taste in your mouth.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
Yeah, if you were, if you were to get run
these last two games, maybe.

Speaker 5 (53:07):
It's and then you're still in limbo for that five wins.
I do like the idea of Mark Pope sacrificing the
Louisville game. Four Kentucky football and the pregame incident being
Mark Stukes came into the locker room and told them
to lose.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
That would be now if he if he got smoked
in the next two games, that might we might go
right back to where we are. I don't like to
give too much credit about Auburn, you know, not being
that good Floor not being good.

Speaker 1 (53:27):
You beat Auburn Floor, those are good wins.

Speaker 3 (53:29):
But if you did, if you get smoked the next
two weeks, I think that'd be we might be back
before we were.

Speaker 2 (53:34):
The Grizzlies leave the Cavaliers seventy six seventy in the
only game that is on in this bark Who's next, Terry?

Speaker 1 (53:42):
How are you Terry?

Speaker 8 (53:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (53:46):
Yeah, guys, I think.

Speaker 8 (53:50):
That stoops.

Speaker 10 (53:51):
If he leaves, it's just going to be on his
own accord.

Speaker 1 (53:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (53:54):
Agree, He's just going to ride off into sense that
I don't. I don't think he'll be forced out. And
you and Matt have thirty seconds after I hang up
this phone to talk me out of betting five hundred
dollars on Old Miss destroying Florida night to have a
nice trip.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
What I think the sprint is eleven and a half.
That's the only thing I mean. If if you Old
Miss is going to destroy Florida, So five hundred dollars
is a lot, that would be the way I would
talk you out of it. But I think if it's
if it's if it's a bet that doesn't harm you.
I love Old Miss destroy. I mean, Florida quit against us.
What makes people think that's not gonna happen against me?

Speaker 1 (54:29):
My CaSR parlay pick. I made the case yesterday.

Speaker 3 (54:31):
I had the whole board to pick from, and that's
the one I said. Florida looks like they've checked out.
Their players are thinking about their future. They don't have
a head coach next year, their assistant coaches are probably
thinking about their future.

Speaker 1 (54:42):
And it's a game. There's nothing Yeah games in Oxford.
There's nothing like me. Why it's only eleven and a half.
I mean we beat them by thirty one. I don't
love anything over ten in a game like that, I
wish you were a little lower.

Speaker 3 (54:54):
But I just I questioned Florida's motivation. We're all miss
as a is a title contender.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
Yeah, I don't. I don't get it.

Speaker 5 (55:01):
Yeah, So you guys are bet spread here, not just
money line.

Speaker 2 (55:05):
Money line, don't pay anything. Money line is is uh
what is it? It's a it's a huge number, So
I mean it's not paying.

Speaker 3 (55:12):
It's probably might be like minus five hundred, might be
five hundred money lines minus four sixty. Yeah, so I'm
I mean I would put you on the money line.
Oh yeah, I mean I would just be like, we
lose Billy if Old missed that, Like, what do you.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
Get though, when you when you lay Billy down? What's
the what's the payoff?

Speaker 2 (55:33):
Not a lot a matching set of that luggage.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
And if you lose, I go over to a different
radio station.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
Yeah, if you lose, you go work. You've become no filter.

Speaker 1 (55:46):
Going to the cup?

Speaker 4 (55:47):
Man, go to the Cup anywhere else? Please, it's up next.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
Now he's gonna talk about He's gonna talk about you.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
It used to be Shannon, Now it's gonna be you.
Go ahead, show b Cook go ahead, cook.

Speaker 11 (56:02):
Hey, I'm just wanting them, why couldn't you all stand
your trip a little bit and just go to the
the basketball game.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
I may do that. I may do that, but these
guys are not. But I may actually go to the game.
So I'm still trying to decide because but remember Buffalo
and New York city are not that close to each
other like you think they are. But go look at
a map. I think it's like a seven hour drive.

(56:33):
So if I go, I might have to fly from
Buffalo to New York. I think the flight from Buffalo,
New York is the exact same distance as Cincinnati to
New York.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
So depending where we go, we could maybe get to
Lexington before we could get to New York City from Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (56:45):
You've got to post that picture. No, Mario posted it? Mario,
Mario did it? Wait a minute, Mario the show. That's
why Billy yelled at him there. I mean that that picture?
How did you come up with that? Sitting here at
the table?

Speaker 4 (57:00):
Is that what you learned at Kentucky?

Speaker 1 (57:02):
It's not. I don't see it. Where did you? Where
did you? Did you post that on the on the story?
It's not on the dude. You've got to put put
that on k sr's Twitter. You don't have to do that,
Yes you do. That's that?

Speaker 2 (57:13):
That that Oh my goodness, but that is what you
look like though.

Speaker 1 (57:22):
It really that is who's next, Mario? That's cal Mario.
That's so me.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Kelly, go ahead, Kelly, Kelly.

Speaker 7 (57:36):
Hey, get a question for you yes, going back to
that cal's Ota video with the Garrett gets your money
right Tom in Yes, I think the revisionous history would
be if the team did not turn around in that
video was out there.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
That that would It's a great question.

Speaker 2 (57:52):
I mean, if that video was out there and let's
say we then you know, get blown out by Florida
and everything falls apart, that video would be seen as
the symbol of the downfall the program. I mean, I
think it's a great it's a great point by you.
We can laugh at it now, but in part we
can laugh at it because we beat Florida because things
look good. If we didn't, it would have been kind

(58:14):
of like the dude going to the.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
To the concession stand last year.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
I mean that picture was kind of a picture and
image of a program out of control had we not
beaten Florida.

Speaker 1 (58:28):
I think that same thing happens again, don't you. Yeah,
it wasn't just beating Florida.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
It's that cutter Bowley did it to Calzada and we
crushed the kicker did it? Them doing it on the
sideline showed that that locker rooms together and those guys.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
If you could see how it could have gone the
other way definitely. I mean, yeah, that's a great point.

Speaker 1 (58:44):
Star. I appreciate the call. That could have been.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
You know, I mean that could have been the Georgs
in the bathroom stall moment for him.

Speaker 1 (58:54):
No, I mean, like George in the bathroom stall.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
There wasn't a picture, but that is if you say, like,
if you're to tell people that what was Billy's rain right,
like they would say George's got left in a bathroom
stall at Bandy.

Speaker 1 (59:06):
I think that could have been it.

Speaker 3 (59:08):

it tomorrow. But like, but your wife, I mean, that's
not for her. Would she be okay with that?

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
