(01:06):
Bueller looked like the Bueller of oldas the Dodgers got the shutout win.
Walker Buehler missed nearly two years recoveringfrom his second Tommy John surgery, making
his third start since returning, andhe was really good fastball mid nineties knuckle
kerb was unhittable. Bueller seven shutoutinnings. He scattered just three hits while
striking out seven along the way.Spiers is back up for Cincinnati. The

(01:29):
Dodgers are going to get somebody onthe hill. Looks like Michael Grove.
He's gonna get up swinging a massstrike three got him, He struck him
out. I'll tell you what,Walker Buehler is the full package. Tonight,
six strikeout for Buehler. I thinkit's safe to save you tain't his
back. Walker Buehler with his sixstrikeout, he finished with seven. That's

(01:53):
the top tier play of the gamesponsored by Arco Quality top tier gas for
less. He retired the first eightbatters that he faced. He had the
reds hitters asking all night. Hefinished with the six shutout innings. Meanwhile,
the Dodgers offense finally gave Walker Buehlersome run support in the fourth,
two on Frandy Paez, two on, one out, no score Dodger half
of the fourth inning, ash Craftstretches checks, the runners comes home,

(02:15):
and Andy hits a ground ball upthe middle of base. There, Freddy's
gonna touch third. He's on hisway to the plate. He will score.
Taioscar around second, into third andaround first, and in the second
is Pojez. It's won the nothingDodgers and Pajez went down and got a
slider. Good base running and nota real good decision by Benson, the

(02:36):
center fielder to throw the third RBIsingle for Poz. Dodgers on the border
one nothing to lead the very nextbatter Gavin Lux and RBI ground out scoring
taskar Hernandez. Dodgers with two runsin the fourth, up two to nothing
in the fifth, Some more magicFreddy Freeman, this time with two outs
and RBI single to the center thatscort Miguel Rojas. Dodgers up three to
nothing. In the eighth, Dodgerstacked on another run toa Oskar Hernanez with

(02:59):
a ship swing single to righte RBInumber thirty seven for Tae Oscar as the
Dodgers took a four to nothing lead. Those four runs that's all the Walker
Bueler. The Dodgers bullpen needed Buellersix shutout innings. Michael Grove pitched the
scoreless seventh. Daniel Hudson has scoredlesseighth. JP firehis In pitched a scoreless
nightth to close it out. Dodgersshut out the Reds last night four to

(03:19):
nothing. Walker Bueller is back.He gets to win. If the Dodgers
have this Walker Bueller, no doubtthe rotation is going to look a lot
different moving forward. As the Dodgersdown thirty one and seventeen on the season,
seven and a half game lead onthe division. Today they go for
the series win over the Cincinnati Reds, landing knack on the mound first pitcher
one ten and with more. Wehead out to the Gallpin Motors broadcast with

(03:40):
on this Sunday afternoon and say helloto Rick Monday and Tim Never guys,
Tim, thanks very much, gorgeousafternoon here at Dodgers Stadium. As the
Dodgers get set to wrap up thisfour game set with the Cincinnati Reds.
They lead the series two games toone after last night's shutout win, their
fourth shot out of the year fourto nothing. Was this gore. Walker

(04:00):
Buehler still the talk of the LosAngeles baseball community this morning with what he
did last night, six shutout innings, the bullpen came in. They were
all hitless and scoreless, Grove Hudsonand Firerizing, but the Walker Buehler was
the star of the show last night. It was Tim And I said after
his start Dad in San Diego thatthe postgame, I said, it looked

(04:21):
like maybe that was a bridge tothe rest of the season. And I
said that because he was throwing freeand easy, he did not walk a
batter, and he improved upon thatlast night, going to six innings and
just made seventy eight pitches. Hewas the absolute whole package that we saw
from Walker Buller. The fastball wasthere, the cutter was there, the

(04:41):
slide of the curve ball, eventhe off speed pitch, and he just
looked much more comfortable in Welcome backWalker Bueller, indeed, and the fact
that he didn't walk anybody. That'sthe eighth time this year the Dodgers have
had a starting pitcher not walk anybodyin those games. The Dodgers are eight
and oh yeah they are. Andthey've also had some very good support by
the bullpen. In fact, youlook at the last two games combined,
the bullpen has worked six innings, they had not allowed a single run,

(05:05):
They've given up just one base hitand struck out six. On top of
that, roster moves today, Landand Knack called up. He was scratched
from his start in Tripla last night. That should have been the first indicator.
But he is here today and he'sgoing to make his fourth start of
the season for the Dodgers. Also, Anthony Bonda, who the Dodgers acquired
from Cleveland for cash considerations earlier inthe week, is added to the active

(05:30):
roster. JP Fireeisen and Ricky Venascohave been optioned, and to make room
for Bonda on the roster, ConnorBrogden has been transferred to the sixty day
injuredless. So those are your rostermoves on this Sunday morning. The Dodgers
thirty one and seventeen, the Redsnineteen and twenty seven. The Reds have
lost fourteen of their last seventeen. But they go with their ace today and

(05:51):
Hunter Green, who's at a NotreDame High school here in La landon knack
again his fourth start. And thered I've really been struggling at the plate,
only two point eight runs per gamein the month of mag Yeah,
they've had trouble in scoring. Infact, a hell to just one run
or less in six different games sincethat streak of just three and fourteen as

(06:15):
you mentioned. Also, so theyhave been offensively challenged. For the Dodgers,
well, they get Mookie Betts backinto the lineup. He's at short
stop. K k Hernanis again willbe at third base, Austin Barnes doing
the catching this afternoon, and JasonHeyward his second game off the injured list.
He will be in right field aswell. Dodgers, winners of nineteen
of the last twenty five ball games, get set to take on the Cincinnati

(06:39):
Reds here in a Sunday afternoon atDodger Stadium. Jim, all right,

(08:09):
That's it O e N dot Com. This is Kirston's Corner with Kirston
Watson. Kirston now joins us onthis Sunday, the final game of this
four game series against the Cincinnati Reds. Kirston Today, the Dodgers bring it
up Landed Neck. Seven different starterin seven days. Yeah, and you
know what, it's been a situationwhere this team has We've talked about it

(08:31):
a lot. They are playing thirteengames in a row and now they are
nine games into it. So beingmindful of managing the bullpen. There are
quite a few arms sore, They'vebeen able to put them in a situation
in which they could be rested sothat they're still like they still have quite
a few of high leverage guys thatthey can go to. And so,

(08:52):
you know, with being mindful ofthat and also making sure for the starters,
because Dave Roberts has said that, you know, the priority is making
sure the starters are healthy and ina good position to if they need an
extra day of rest, making surethey have that. And that's something that
we've been seeing with you know, guys like James Paxson, he prefers he
does better when he has an extraday. Yoshiobu is better when he well,
he's used to having an extra day. So, you know, just

(09:13):
being mindful of all of that.So today originally has listed as TVD.
Dave had told us when the teamwas in San Francisco that there could be
a move for someone to come uptoday instead of it being a traditional bullpen
game, and so Landon Nack ishere, and so Landon can give them
a full start similar to what Hernandezdid in San Francisco. So hopefully he'll

(09:33):
be able to you know, eatup some innings, get a little bit
deeper into the game. He's ofcourse built up, and he's been pitching
really well with triple A. Oksee, so you know he's back.
He's been good, and so hopefullyyou can keep that going today. Speaking
of good, the Dodgers' bullpen hasbeen really good, and then they've got
a lot of guys coming on andoff the injured list. A lot of
the high leverage or leavers haven't reallybeen there the last three weeks because of

(09:54):
injuries, but a new leader hassort of emerged down there in the Bully.
Yeah, you know what, it'sbeen really impressive to see how the
bullpen and you mentioned it without havinga guy's like Evan Phillips who's currently on
the injured less Ryan Brazier's on injuredlist, So some of those key high
leverage arms and even some veteran leadershipin there, you know, with them
being down Joe Kelly included, there'sbeen a lot of these kind of younger

(10:18):
players who are stepping up. Soone guy who Dave Roberts was praising today,
Michael Grove. He has been reallyeffective and he of course has to
kind of manage him in a situationwhere he is someone who can gives some
length but also, like yesterday,be really effective with one inning and keeping
his arm ready to go for smallerbursts, but also for a little bit
of a longer burst of need.So he's been huge. But another name
that's come up a lot is AlexBessia and Alex is someone who you know,

(10:41):
you see his energy and just theemotions he has on the mound.
He is so he's driven, he'shardworking, but he's just some of those
players like he makes me personally andI feel like probably you too, like
there are at time but you wantto run through a wall with him.
But he is someone who not onlyhas been getting really positive results recently and
just been really a but he's reallystepped up as a leader in the bullpen.

(11:03):
And even with a conversation I hadwith him recently, he has a
gym at home and it's called av pump House. It's a whole thing.
I love it. It's amazing. But I was asking he said that,
yeah, there are some guys duringthe off season who will come and
train with him. And he saidthat you know, when he's done playing,
and he's got a lot of timesthis is no time soon, but
like one of the things he's reallypassionate about. And I think this also

(11:26):
goes into the type of leader thathe is in the bullpen, is you
know, he wants to be oneof those pitching coaches who not necessarily like
a Mark pryor pitching coach. Ithink that might be of interest, but
he really likes the idea of,you know, working with pictures on specific
pitches and how can you make itmore effective and more efficient or just kind
of get it to have that punch. He loves that side of the game.
And so he said that he's hadthe privilege of working with some you

(11:48):
know, like younger athletes and youngerpictures and things like that, some guys
and the minors and so something he'sreally passionate about. So it's really cool
to see him kind of bringing thatside off his personality, in that side
of his interest with what he's doingin the bullpen and with his current teammates
and being able to now step init's been with this team a couple of
years now and stepping into a moreleadership role. So it's been, you

(12:11):
know, really cool to witness forall of those guys. That is very
cool. Appreciate it, Carison. We'll check out with you after the game.

last week. Let's head back outto Dodger Stadium and check with the Dodger
skipper DA Questions for Dave, Dave, can you just describe Dave? Can
you talk about the pressure in thedugouts with Dave Roberts, Yes, most
fools as it is it is.I think the way for Michael, for
some of our guys to look atit is to be able to do an

(14:05):
updown, and so to be ableto get four or five hitters and to
be able to go back to back, which he has just done, is
something that he hasn't done, youknow, throughout his career. So but
still having the ability to do anupdown when the workload calls for it.

(14:28):
So Anthony just met him this morning. We've had eyes on him, you
know, for a couple of years, and just to get him adds another
left handed arm, which is hegets right, he's out, but there's
a fastball, there's a slider orsweeper, there's a change up, two
different fastballs for seem to seem andso we're gonna run him out there.

(14:52):
So if it's not today, it'llbe the next couple of days. He
hasn't pitchiedon about a week. He'shad a lot of travel recently, but
you know, I'm very excited tosee what he can present. What is
a heavy three left your options?I think it's just allowing four yards to

(15:13):
potentially go a little bit longer andnot just the short burst where you have
two other guys that can come inand be more situational. All right,
there's Dave Roberts down in the dugout, brought to you by Service Titan.

David bass says we lead jump toDodgers and Reds. First bitch of one
ten. I'm Tim Katsu's Los AngelesDodgers Audio Hour. This is Marongo Casino,
Dodgers on Deck on your home forthe Blue All Season Law. Dodgers

(15:56):
and Reds landon Nack Hunter Green pitchingmatchup. First pitch coming up at one
ten, coming up. We'll diedeeper to this pitching matchup. You'll hear
from Eric Carl's coming up in abouttwenty minutes. We'll also get to the
keys of the game. But first, joining Tim Kaits on Dodgers on Deck,
I accept everybody for who they are. This is Dodger insider David Basse

(16:18):
right DV. Before we get intotoday's games, go back to yesterday before
the Dodgers for nothing win over theCincinnati Reds. Why did three injured Dodger
pitchers, including Clayton Kershaw throw fromthe mound? Yeah, I found out
the exact reason why. It wasn'tabout a change of scenery or trying to
recreate any game simulation. It's becauseThe Dodgers have camera set up here at

(16:42):
Dodger Stadium with a lot of sportsscience technology, and my understanding is the
sports science that was being applied yesterdaywas somewhat of a technology that takes images
of the skeleton and the way theydeliver the pitches. So if there's something
off as far as the way they'relanding or any kind of mechanical abnormalities from

(17:04):
the way they usually throw the baseball, they can see it. With that.
They haven't got the images back.My understanding is it takes a couple
of days to get that back. But that's the reason why there's always a
purpose to what the Dodgers are doing, especially when it comes to pitching,
and they've been at the forefront ofsports science in that department. So that's

(17:25):
the reason why Clayton Kershaw, BobbyMiller, and even Evan Phillips we're throwing
off the main mound here at DodgerStadium. David, I guess when you
woke up today you weren't expecting tosay mechanical abnormalities on Dodge. I was
not. Yeah, Okay, David'sdriven by Ford. Our teams are always
built Ford tough, just like yourFord trucks and SUVs are built for tough.
Mookie Bets DV back in the lineuptoday, Yeah, back in the

(17:48):
lineup and back working two or threehours before first pitch. He was out
there with Miguel Rojas going through differentkinds of plays, and Miguel's been in
his ear constantly. So Pete Monteroone of the best infield coaches the Dodgers
have in their organization, along withJose Viscaino, Dino Ebel, and Miguel

(18:11):
Rojas. Those are the mainstays threehours before the game working with Mookie Betts.
So day off yesterday he did notdo any of this stuff, but
he's back in there today and hewas doing the different ground ball simulations.
But my understanding is talking to guysthat played the position like Nomar, it's

(18:32):
just gotta be second nature. Youcan't be thinking at the position. It's
gotta be very natural and intuitive. And hopefully Mookie gets to that point.
Because we're in the middle of May, Tim and I know the Dodgers are
concerned that this much work, thismany hours before the game just cannot be

(18:52):
sustainable for Mooki Betts. So they'rehoping he's getting closer to the maintenance part
of the program, and nat getsto start called up from Triple A Oklahoma
City. You mentioned yesterday he wasscratching his start any in fact, gets
to start today against the Cincinnati Reds. Hunter Green from Notre Dame High School.
He went to Notre Dame Dame. He's back home today on the mound.

(19:14):
Yeah, no, him well,And my understanding is he does not
have a big contingent of family andfriends here. The only family that I'm
aware of that has been here thelast couple of games is his father,
and his dad will be here again, I'm sure watching with a close eye
to support his son. But talkingto scouts that have watched Hunter Green pitch

(19:34):
this year, you know he wasjust relying on his fastball, and his
secondary pitches in years past just werenot up to part to kind of get
hitters off his fastball. And myunderstanding is he's thrown the slider thirty two
percent of the time, and hisslider is much improved from before his Tommy

(19:55):
John surgery. He has also comeup with a split fingered fastball, but
still heavy dose of ninety seven plusthat the Dodgers certainly can hit real quick,
Dave Lannon. Knack, as wementioned, gets called land and Knack
was starting to kind of get settledin before he got sent down to Triple
A. And when he got sittingdown, it wasn't necessarily what he wasn't

(20:15):
doing. It was just a numbersgame at that point, right, Yeah,
numbers crunch And really that's the reasonwhy the Dodgers are taking their time
with Bobby Miller, which is greatfor Bobby, but right now the rotation
is pretty full and they were notgoing to drop him in during this thirteen
in a row stretch that ends nextWednesday against the Diamondbacks. So they're going

(20:36):
to find a spot for him thathe can help give the rest of the
rotation and extra day's rest, maybewhen the Dodgers returned home against the Rockies
and then go back out on theroad. But June is a much kinder
schedule for the Dodgers' starting staff thanit has been in the month of May.
Great STUFFDV. We'll check back withyou in just a little bit.

(23:38):
La Dodgers broadcaster and World Series championDodger Rick Monday. All right, Rick,
the Dodgers and Reds getting set forthe final game of this four game
series. But Walker Bueller last nighthis first major league win in nearly two
years. I'll tell you what thatwas. The whole package Walker Bueller that

(23:59):
we saw last night. I mean, he was absolutely dealing. And if
that's a sign of things to come, oh my goodness, welcome back.
The strange thing is, you knowthat's over two years just about that before
he had been on the mound too, and just to be able to do
it that quickly, I mean thefirst couple of starts, I looked at
it basically as extended spring trending forhim to try and get back into the

(24:23):
swing of things. Not to bea play on words, the swing of
things, but in the stadium withthe background, with the adrenaline level going,
because that's the first thing we talkedabout his initial start. Can he
control the adrenaline level in coming back, because how many days, how many
weeks, how many months, andthen you look at two years before he's
really able to get back on themound. Last night it was sensational.

(24:47):
And the fact that he did notwalk about or second game in a row
he's had an outing where he's notwalked aboutter I thought last night he was
complete control. I got a callfrom someone who says, oh, yes,
but the Cincinnati Reds are not reallya power team. Accurate. They're
twenty eighth in overall hitting if youlook at the team batting average. However,
what that person did not see washow Walker Buehler was pitching last night.

(25:10):
Not just with the fastball, notjust with the changeup, and not
just with the curveball and the slider. It was the entire package that Walker
Buehler had. It was fun towatch him pitch, and I loved what
you said before his previous start inSan Diego, where you said that was
the bridge to the rest of hisseason. Yeah, do you feel like
last night, same thing. Bridgeto the rest of the season in the

(25:30):
next one. But I'm glad youthought that up, because when I said
that in San Diego, you kindof looked at me. He goes the
bridge to the rest of the season. That's how good it was. Then
he was even better last night.Today we have Landon Knack on the mound.
It felt like it was always goingto be Landon Nack. But it's
hard for a pitcher not to havethat five day routine. But these young

(25:52):
Dodger pitchers seem to be very nimble. Whenever they're called upon, they're all
in. They've all bought into theplan, and the Dodgers made the plan
very, very obvious. At thebeginning of spring. Trending really is,
Look, this is going to bemaybe unconventional. Some will look at it
that way because the Dodgers are thinkingthe back end of the season. You're

(26:14):
not trying to win every game everyday. And I don't mean to discount
any game that they're playing, butthe importance is at the back end.
Oh, they're going to win games, and that's exactly what they're trying to
do. But I'm talking about thelongevity the health, the well being of
the team, and everyone understands.Look, we're all pulling on the rope,
different positions pulling on that rope.Rick. Yesterday, Dave Roberts gave

(26:37):
Mooky Bets a planned day off.It felt like MOOKI needed that mentally more
than physical account and you do asa player. We all need that,
David. You know you need itoccasionally on the pre game, in the
post game. We all need that. We all needed every one of us
needs a little pad on the backor a shouldered at least that we know
it's available if we need it,you know, to put a hand on

(26:59):
the shoulder, little reassurance. Lifecan be scary. It's even more scary
when you're out there between the linesand everyone, well not everyone, but
majority of the people can be acritic of what you do or don't do.
And shortstop is a position where youcan't take a playoff. But again,
we're talking longevity with the pitching staff. That also includes the guys who
pulled the wagon each and every day. Those are the guys that are on

(27:21):
the field in between you. Imentioned last night. I want to mention
again too, when we look atthis Dodger ball club, and using this
overall theory with the pitching staff,is it working well? If we look
at the last three seasons, theDodgers starting pitching, the best batting average,
the lowest batting average in Major LeagueBaseball. That's the starting pitching.
What about the relief pitchers over thelast three seasons also the lowest batting average

(27:47):
against in Major League Baseball. Somethinghas been working here, not just this
year, not just the last threeyears. If you look at the Dodgers
pitching over decades, this has beenreally kind of the pinnacle of pitching.
Yeah, no doubt, Andrew Friedmanand his staff has perfected the regular season.
They have the largest divisional lead inMajor League Baseball. And how about
this, Rick, you can appreciatethis. This is the largest division lead

(28:11):
the Dodgers have had on this dayin a season since nineteen seventy seven,
when your Dodgers opened up a doubledigit lead over the Big Red Machine.
Well, I can tell immediately thatDwayne McDonald's been doing some research. No,
no, I had another fan contributor, did you. Oh yeah,
Well I figured it was one ofthose things you have seventy seven, you
know, I think back of theteams that I was privileged enough to be

(28:33):
a part of, and I thoughtthat seventy seven team overall, the best
team that I ever played for.All your teammates say that what separated that
team from the others, I thinkjust the ability and the chemistry on the
team. People that say that chemistrydoesn't count they've never been on a team.
Makes sense. Rick, you're afive tool broadcaster. Thanks a lot

(28:55):
for the time. We'll send itback to a good day. Hey,
we got that chemistry right, It'sgonna arrive any minute. Well send it
back here in the studio. Tipall right, Thanks a lot, guys.

fielding insults from a Dodger player. It's an engagement of endearment. This is
high and tight. Sunday's a greatday to reflect, and that's why we're
joined right now by the all timeLA Dodgers home run leader and also Travis
Matthew Ambassador Life on Tour, EricCarrolls. Thanks a lot for the time,
Eric, anytime. Dave. Goodto be here, Bud oh Man,

(30:30):
the hair is looking great, evenon a Sunday. Well, it
took a lot of work. Iwas up early, I went to church
and all is good. Now,Hey, you've had a chance to see
a lot of the Dodgers pitching. What were your thoughts with the latest version
of Walker Buehler last night. Soyou know, it was exciting to watch
because the first two outings, Yes, the villa was there and people were

(30:52):
excited about that, but the villois not where he's going to be successful.
And he was good last night becauseof the command and he was getting
ahead of hitters who was able tothrow that knuckle curve. And that's a
type of picture I feel like heneeds to be moving forward. You know,
I don't know that we'll ever seethe guy that just bullied hitters.

(31:14):
He's gonna have flashes of that, but what he displayed last night, it
was it was an absolute pitching clinic. And if he throws like that and
continues to build, man, whatan addition to this Dodger staff. You
knew that you don't always have tothrow fastballs. I'm sure being around the
Dodger organization for as long as youhave been, there's way to change speeds
on the fastball. Is that somethinghe needs to learn? Well, I

(31:37):
think he knows how to do it. It's just one of those things he
hasn't had to do it. Butyes, you know, you throw that
ninety six when you need to,Otherwise you're working ninety two ninety three,
and you know, I get thewhole thing that guys throw harder now and
it's a power game, and youknow, you go as hard as you
can for as long as you can, which is usually five innings now,

(32:00):
But that also that taxes your bullpen. It also you know, it's more
walks, it's more stress on everybody. And yeah, you're gonna get the
swing and miss, but I don'tknow that you're always gonna get the outcome
that you want. And like Isaid, last night was a combination of
Yeah, the vilo was there, but the command was the most important thing.
And it was, like I said, it was a pitching clinic.

(32:22):
Eric Harrows is our guest in frontof first pitch between the Dodgers and Reds.
Eric, I'm sure you can appreciatethis. I'm not sure you're aware,
but Freddie Freeman has incorporated a newpregame routine where he feels like hitting
thirty four going into thirty five,he has to do more body maintenance.
Can you relate to that at thestage of his career. So it's interesting

(32:43):
I watch him out on the fieldand his pregame stuff. You know,
he's out there with b mac there. They've got ropes around themselves, the
bands. They're doing stretching things. And it's funny because years ago, back
back when I played, I wasdoing stuff similar to that and nobody was
doing it, and I used toget mocked for it an opposing team.

(33:05):
I remember Josh Beckett was with theMarlins and he'd get out and he'd get
in front of the dugout and doall these like movement patterns that I was
doing, and you know, justjokingly, but you have to do it,
and if you don't do it,you know, the only person that's
going to impact is yourself. AndFreddie's taken it upon himself to address things
before you know, they really becomean issue. Freddie said they brought it
to him, Brandon McDaniel brought itto him. Were you self aware or

(33:29):
did somebody have to bring it toyou? No, I was self aware,
but I'd also had some injuries andthere was a gentleman that I worked
with, Alex mckechney, who waslater with the Lakers. And then I've
got a buddy down in Hermosa Beach, Troll Subin owns a gym down there
and it's been at the forefront ofyou know, exercise and maintaining your body.

(33:52):
And so I guess I would sayI was introduced by those guys.
I picture you doing all that, wearing You're no Fear to you shirt,
no Fear of T shirt and sometight shorts. Yeah, locked in and
then heading to Paisanos after exactly. That's how you got to balance. It
is like Freddie's doing Like Freddy's doingall this stuff out there, but they'll

(34:12):
let him fool you. He's eatingsome cronauts on Sunday morning. You got
a piece of Freddie's magic sugar cookies. Oh, I'm all over. I
want to take another one. They'relike, well Freddie has to have at
least too, so you gotta savehim. Hey, great to catch up
with you. Thanks as always forjoining us. You have a big place
in dodgery history. And we'll watchyou on sports and at LA today.

(34:32):
Yeah, looking forward to David, looking forward to the next road trip.

Sherman Oaks, second overall pick ofthe Reds in twenty seventeen, made his
major league debut in twenty twenty two. He had Tommy John surgery while in
the minor leagues. Making his tenthstart this season last time out, seven
innings, two runs, five hit, five strikeouts in a win over the

(36:17):
Diamondbacks. Today, his third careerstarts against the Dodgers. He is zero
to two with a six ninety sevenERA. Both of those starts were in
twenty twenty two. The last onethe Dodgers saw win was in Cincinnati five
innings, six runs, nine hits, including three home runs in a Dodgers
win. Landon Knack on the Moundfor the Dodgers, twenty six year old
right hander, fifth round pick ofthe Dodgers in twenty twenty at East Tennessee,

ballgame this afternoon at Dodger Stadium,Sunshine day, blue Sky's a little bit

(38:13):
of a cloud cover in the area, but it's going to be a perfect
day for a game here. LandonNeck will get the start for the Dodgers.
Snack called up from Triple A tomake this start. He was scratched
from his start last night. He'sone and one with the Dodgers and a
two eight one ERA. Hunter Greenone in two and a three four seven

(38:34):
Green, the hard throwing right handertwenty four year old. He has had
a one point eight two ERA inhis last four starts. He's done the
job, but he just hasn't hadany run support. No, he has
it for Landon Neck. He wasa starter on the thirtieth of April that
was over in Arizona against the Diamondbacks. Pitch well five innings, one run
that was on a solo home runby Christian Walker. One thing to look
at for Neck. He has struggledin the first inning a three eighty five

(38:58):
batting average against him. After that, he has been absolutely right on top
of everything. As you mentioned, for one hundred, Green good fastball,
and in fact, in his careerhe has thrown four hundred and fifty five
pitches one hundred miles an hour orhigher the last five starts. Not a
bad era, just barely two anda half. But as you mentioned,
he's not had hardly any run supportat all when he's been on the mountain.

(39:21):
The Dodgers as a team are hittingonly one ninety eight against fastballs that
are ninety five plus, so thatcould be somewhat of an advantage for Hunter
Green today, but the Dodgers doknow they're going to see some velocity exactly,
and for a Hunter Green is notjust the fastball where he has really
been shining. When he's had runnersin scoring position, it's less than a
two hundred batting average against him,and he comes in he has more strikeouts

(39:45):
than innings pitched landon Neck against HunterGreen. That's the pitching matchup. In
the fourth and final game of thisseries against the Cincinnati Reds, the Reds
nineteen and twenty seven. They've lostsix of nine on the current road trip,
and the Dodgers seven and a halfup in the National League West with
a thirty one and seventeen record.Tim all Right, First pitch is Next,
