Speaker 1 (00:01):
Sunday ninety nine point one. Hope you're loving the holiday music.
We are Houston's holiday music station. I'm Dana with producer
Anthony with the three things you need to know to
get your Wednesday, November twentieth started while the Texas Board
has advanced Bible studies in five K classrooms. Yes, eight
out of fifteen members voted to approve the Blue Bonnet

(00:22):
Learning curriculum and they'll have a final vote done on Friday.
And this is just a miraculous story out of Tomball.
Maurice Christy. She remembers going to the movies before her
c section, no memory of that event or the events
after as she delivered triplets. Her husband Dylan, though, remembers

(00:42):
all of it. Apparently Maurice flatlined multiple times because of
some she was like allergic to the amniotic fluid, some
kind of thing that happens. It was my near fatal
She is doing great now, so are her babies. And
she thanks doctor Amberson Annual and the Woodlands Memorial Herman
team for saving her from that nearly fatal post birth complication.

(01:07):
Unbelievable and this isn't something to be proud of.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
It's wallet Hub.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
They found out that Houston is the most sinful city
in Texas, the second most sinful city.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
In the US behind Vegas, CA.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
But yep, we get that designation because apparently we are
a favorite destination for decadence. So weather today is going
to be perfection. Sonny, We'll go up to sixty eight.
Right now, it's fifty eight and uptown and you're up
to date on sunny. Tell me something good brought to
us by our friends at Goodwill Houston. Well, the revival

(01:43):
of the Texas versus Texas A and M rivalry marks
one of the most highly anticipated games of twenty twenty
four for college football. They're going to swear off November thirtieth,
college station kickoff six thirty Central time, and Anthony, it's
going to be on ABC. I mean, it's going to
be an incredible matchup Longhorns, number three and top team

(02:07):
in the SEC. But TeX's A and M boy, don't
discount them. It's going to be exciting once again. Kickoffs
six thirty Central time on ABC November thirtieth. Producer Anthony
Dan got more proof that Goodwill Houston is continuing to
change lives. They've partnered up with Easy Expunctions, helping individuals
clear their criminal records, offering a significant second chance to

(02:27):
those seeking a fresh start. The partnership addresses a critical
need in the Houston community, as many people face challenges
securing employment, housing, educational opportunities due to past criminal records.
Goodwill Houston works closely with the organization to provide a
seamless expungement process. It's enabling eligible individuals to move forward
without the stigma of a criminal record holding them back.

(02:48):
And by joining forces that two organizations amplify their impact,
reaching even more people and reducing the financial obstacles associated
with clearing records. So big ups to our Goodwill Houston
making strides toward building and more inclin lucive community where
individuals can participate in society without being held back by
past mistakes.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
And here's proof. Everyone's coming to Houston. We are running
out of phone numbers, but not to worry.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Just so we don't run out of phone numbers, We've
got a new one that's going to come into effect
in January. So joining eight three to two the original
seven to one three two eight one three four six
welcome six two one YEP and the area code six
'two one should hold us?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Uh should hold us for another nine years?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yeah, six another one.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Anyway, you can always find our tell Me Something Good
stories at Sunday naety nine dot com and you can
also follow us on Facebook, x, Instagram and TikTok at

Speaker 2 (03:50):

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Real and you're gonna hear about his journey right here
on Sunday ninety nine point one. Yep, we are Houston's
holiday music station, Santa's favorite. It is seven twenty one.
Now our nearly impossible question. This morning at six forty
we learned that if you want to be happy, will
you do this once a day, And it's have a
meaningful conversation, not just a conversation. It's got to be meaningful,

(04:15):
something that you walk away feeling so good about what
you just discussed, your connection with another human being, not texting,
talking in real time with each other. And so we're
asking you about your Thanksgiving plans. And if there's any
conversation that is the opposite of meaningful, as a matter
of fact, it's a conversation that might be off limits

(04:38):
at your Thanksgiving table and we have got let's see.
Damianna calling in from Channelview, a pre K science teacher. Now,
first off, are you going to celebrate Thanksgiving in Channel View?

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yes, we are. I'm going to be at my mom's house.
All right.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Are there any topics that are off limits with your
family on Thanksgiving at dinner?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Politics? Politics? Oh my god, we don't talk about that.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Well that's smart because if there's too much conflict. Do
you have a lot of divisiveness in your family when
it comes to politics, yes, we have several people going
other ways, so we're just like, we just don't talk about.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
It and we enjoy the food and talk about some bills.
Thank you're smart, fat so wholl issues? That does mom say?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Okay, guys, no politics when you come when you walk
through my door. Yes, my mom.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
That really controls us, even if we're an adults. She's
still good joke. Yeah, Hey, what's mom's name?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Vicki? Well tell Vicki good job, keep up the good work.
She is the matriarch and she gets to create the
rules in her house.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Right, yes, well, definitely we won't go above her. That is,
you're a good daughter who honors your mom.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
We hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving feast and
no politics. Yes, none, Thank you so much. Merry Christmas, Marry.
I'm a good holiday.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Ray. What part of town you're calling from? We're calling
from the Valley Ranch area. All right? And do you
have the kids in the car? My son is sitting
right here next to me, Bruce, Bruce. Okay, Thanksgiving? Where
are you going to have it? We're I headed to
my mom's house for Thanksgiving? Us here and where's mom lives? Excellent?
That makes it easy? Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Talking of conversations that are off limits, do you have any?
Not at all?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Ray, So who's going to be there? I mean, how
many people are we talking about? My family?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
For my brother and my parents?

Speaker 1 (06:38):
And there's no there's no conflict in your family? Rad
Do you know how jealous I am of you?

Speaker 2 (06:44):
We're pretty open. It's heaven is what it is? Nice?
That is excellent. Well, so what do you guys love
to talk about?

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Our nearly impossible question this morning was meaningful conversations?

Speaker 2 (06:56):
What do you guys like to talk about? You know
what we're or Yeah, we usually talked about what we're
thankful for.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Okay, well, what are you thankful for, especially this year? RAYA,
that's excellent. And then so many good things can happen
when you're feeling good. Right, that's wonderful. Ray And how
old is Bruce? How old is Bruce?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Well? Wonderful? Hey, Bruce, what are you thankful for this year?
Chicken nuggets? Chicken nuggets have the gift that keeps on giving.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Man, Well, you guys have a happy Thanksgiving. Do you
like the Christmas music?

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Bruce? Yes?

Speaker 1 (07:31):
