With honesty and vulnerability, she reflects on setting boundaries, navigating her relationship with her mother, and the transformative power of mental health support. This episode is a rich exploration of self-discovery, resilience, and the intentional path toward becoming your truest self.
Lifework:
1. Boundary Setting Challenge: Learn to set healthy personal and professional boundaries. Alanah discussed how she transitioned from being "a mom to everyone" to focusing specifically on her own son and personal growth, which requires intentionally saying no and protecting one's emotional energy.
2. Mental Health Exploration Challenge: Commit to exploring your mental health through therapy or counseling. Alanah shared her transformative journey of understanding herself through therapy, breaking generational patterns, and addressing underlying issues that impacted her relationships and personal development.
3. Self-Care Intentionality Challenge: Create a personalized self-care routine that genuinely recharges you. Alanah emphasized that self-care isn't one-size-fits-all and encouraged listeners to find what works for them - whether it's journaling, meditation, travel, or simply taking 10 minutes of quiet time - and to be consistent yet flexible in practicing it.
