Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, So here everyone, welcome back to the show

(00:01):
for another deep dive, and uh, you know this one
today is uh, it's really for all of you out
there who are like really thinking about ARC. You know,
this financial platform that's been kind of blowing up in
the startup world, and you know, full disclosure, the more
I learned about ARC, the more I was like, wait
a minute, what is going on over there? So I

(00:22):
think our mission today is to really like figure out
like what makes ARC so different? You know, what is
all this buzz about And most importantly, could this thing
actually be like a secret weapon for your startup? And
so to kind of kick things off, I've been like splunking,
you know, in the depth of their product hunt page
and honestly, things get really interesting. Have you had a
chance to like check out ARC it all yet?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Oh yeah, I've definitely been keeping an eye on them.
It's amazing how they're just so laser focused on startups right,
Like they're offering this killer combo of banking and growth
capital all in one platform. You know, you've got your
fdic inshired accounts, no fee banking. They even help you
like diversify your cash and maximize deal it's like they
took everything a startup needs and just put it in
one place.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Ooh whole time in sech Did you know these guys
actually one like finance Tech product of the Year on
product Hunt and get this, they've got like fifty eight
reviews on there. I mean that's that's a lot of
people talking. What did you think about the overall like
vibe from all those users?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
You know, it's overwhelmingly positive. It's like bordering on ecstatic action.
People are just raving about the products, but also like
the ARC team themselves and a lot of the reviewers,
they were highlighting things like the customer service, how fast
everything is, and just how much more tech forward they
are compared to like your typical bank. You know, they're
speaking the startup language.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, it's like they really get it. And you know,
some of the quotes I saw, I mean they really
jumped out of me. There was this one founder, Nick Olt,
and he called ARC like a total game changer for
revenue based financing, you know, especially with some of the
other options out there kind of struggling. And then there's
this guy, Scott Miller, he's a revops manager, and he
said ARC is like a one stop shop for managing
your cash and getting funding. So that seems to be

(01:56):
like a big theme, right, ARC as this all in
one solution. Oh and this one blew my mind. There
was this partner at ya combinator Jared Friedman, and he
said that ARC is like widely used and respected in
the YC community, and those guys they have pretty high standards.
But the one that really got me was this guy,
Noah Stanford, and he shared that his five person company

(02:17):
is actually using arcs like yield program to completely offset
the cost of an entire engineer. I mean, talk about
putting your money to work.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
That's wild, right. And the thing is these aren't just
any random users, you know. We're talking founders, investors, people
who are like deeply embedded in the startup ecosystem. So
when they're this enthusiastic, it really tells you something about
the trust ARK is building.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Okay, so let's recap. We've got this platform built specifically
for startups, it's packed with features geared towards speed and growth,
and it's got this chorus of positive reviews from people
who really know their stuff. Yeah, so what does all
this mean for? You know, our listener out there who's probably,
you know, let's be real, looking for the perfect financial
partner for their startup.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Well, it seems like ARC is solving a really crucial problem.
You know, startups need banking and financing that's as agile
and fast moving as they are, a system that actually
understands their unique challenges. And the sheer volume and positivity
of those reviews, especially coming from within the startup world,
it suggests that ARC is actually walking the walk. They're
not just talking a big.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Game, right, And let's not forget the timing. You know,
ARC emerged right after those twenty twenty four banking crises,
so their emphasis on security instability is probably super pealing
to startups who are understandably, you know, a little bit
on edge these days. Yeah, it feels like traditional banking
just isn't cutting it for the startup world anymore. So

(03:39):
do you think ARC is like trying to totally disrupt
the system or work within it, or maybe something else entirely.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
That's a million dollar question, isn't it. They're definitely shaking
things up. Yeah, it's like they're walking this really interesting line.
You know, on the one hand, they're partnering with these
established banks to offer FDIC insured accounts, so it's not
like they're completely reinventing the wheel. But then on the
other hand, they've built this super sophisticated software layer on
top of it that just makes everything so much faster, smoother,

(04:06):
and way more user friendly, you know, And I think
that's where the real disruption is. They're offering this experience
that traditional banks just can't match totally.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It's like they're saying, hey, we respect the foundation, but
we're building like the penthouse suite on top of it.
And speaking of that whole post crisis world, so many
of the reviewers mentioned how ARC helped them get through
all that uncertainty. There was even this quote from Santiago
Suarez Ordoni as he's the CEO of Momentum, and he
said that ARC Security lets him sleep well at night.

(04:37):
And you know, that's priceless when you're trying to build
a company. Peace of mind is like a premium feature.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Oh absolutely, peace of mind is huge for any startup,
especially after everything that went down. And remember a lot
of these reviewers are founders and CEOs themselves, so that
really adds a lot of weight to what they're saying.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
For sure, it's one thing to read a marketing brochure,
but it's a whole other thing to hear it from
someone who's actually in the trenches using the product every
single day. Yeah. You know, another thing that kept popping
up in the reviews was the customer service. What were
people specifically saying about that.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
It's the responsiveness and the helpfulness that really shines through.
You know, people talked about getting quick answers, personalized support,
and arc going above and beyond to solve their problems.
It's like that human touch that you just don't always
get with traditional banks.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Yeah, it's like they're actually invested in your success, not
just processing your transactions.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
I love this quote from Maria Chose as she said
their customer service is great and she loves that they're
on Slack for quick questions. It's such a smart move
to meet startups where they already.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Are totally That kind of accessibility is a game changer
when you're moving at startup speed. And speaking of speed,
a bunch of reviewers were raving about how efficient Ark is.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Oh yeah, for sure. There was Soul Kennedy, a founder,
and he was blown away that he was able to
set up his account in like ninety minutes. I mean,
time is such a precious commodity for startups, so that
kind of efficiency can make a world of difference. And
there's Ashley Wilson, the COO at Momentum. She praised Ark
for their tech first approach and how quickly they roll
out new features. She even called switching from a traditional

(06:09):
bank to arca no brainer.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
It's that whole move fast and break things mentality, but
for banking. And you know a lot of these reviewers
they come from tech backgrounds themselves, so they're not going
to settle for anything less exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
They want tools that just work. Speaking of which, user
friendliness was another big thing that people were talking about.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Oh yeah, absolutely. Paren Park she's a designer, and she
specifically mentioned how much she loves ARC's platform. She called
it simple, elegant, and easy to use. And you know designers,
they pay attention to those details. It's not just about functionality,
it's about the whole experience.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
So we're starting to get a pretty clear picture here.
ARC is obsessed with security, their customer service is amazing,
and they're all about speed and ease of use. Anything
else that stood out to you from those.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Reviews, you know, it's really interesting. A lot of people
talked about how ARC actually helped them understand their financials better.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Really how so well.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
You know, startups often struggle with things like cash flow
management and forecasting and traditional banking tools. They're not always
built for that kind of agility.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Right, It's like trying to fit a square peg in
a round.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Hole out exactly. But ARC provides tools and insights that
are actually tailored to the way startups operate. For example,
a lot of reviewers mentioned how much they love ARC's
dashboard because it gives them a clear, real time view
of their financial health.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
So it's not just about moving money around, it's about
making smarter decisions. That's huge. So for our listener out
there who's maybe still on the fence about ARC, what
would you say are the three biggest takeaways from all
this user feedback?

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Okay, great question. I'd say the three key things are. First,
ARC's focus on security and stability is a major selling point,
especially in this day and age, startups need to know
their money is safe. Second, their customer service is consistently
praised as being top notch. You know, they offer that
personalized support and responsiveness that startups really value. And third,
ARC's commitment to speed, efficiency and user friendliness. It just

(08:01):
streamlines all those financial processes so startups can focus on
what they do best, building their businesses.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
That's a great summary. It really highlights how ARC is
aligning everything they do with the unique needs of the
startup world. But here's something to think about. Given everything
we've learned about ARC, how might their approach to banking
and financing actually challenge those traditional financial institutions. Are they
a disruptor, a collaborator, or maybe something in between.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
M That's a fascinating question. It seems like they're walking
a tightrope. It's like they're not trying to like burn
the whole system down, but they're definitely building something new
and exciting on top of it, you know what I mean.
And I think that's what makes them so interesting. They're
bridging that gap between traditional finance and what modern startups
actually need.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
It's like they speak both languages fluently, which is a
pretty powerful position to be in. And it's not just
about banking either, right. ARC is also moving into that
world of growth capital, which is like, you know, oxygen
for startups. Remember Nick All, that founder we talked about earlier,
He's really impressed with their take on revenue based financing,
which makes sense. You know, can be so much more

(09:08):
founder friendly than giving up equity, especially in those early stages.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Oh. Absolutely, traditional ventor capital can be such a long
and complicated process, and it often comes with all these
strings attached. So what ARC is doing is offering a faster,
more flexible alternative that's actually aligned with how startups generate revenue.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
It's like they're saying, hey, we get that your growth
might not fit neatly into a traditional box, so let's
find a funding solution that works for you. It's that
whole customization and partnership.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Thing again, right, And by combining banking and growth capital
into one platform, they're becoming this holistic financial partner for startups.
It's not just about managing money, it's about fueling ambition
and helping these companies reach their full potential.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
So, as we wrap up this deep dive into ARC,
what's the one key takeaway you want our listener to
walk away with. What's the big aha moment?

Speaker 2 (09:57):
I think the biggest takeaway is this ARC is fundamentally
ching the game for startup finance. They're not just offering
products they're building a platform that empowers startups to succeed
on their own terms.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
They're like that friend who not only helps you balance

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
