Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I'm always asking questions. The reason why is because the
fund begins when you start researching for answers such as
what's the best way to stay engaged in an idea? Plus?

(00:23):
Why are fewer people going to a movie theater? My
name is Arrow. I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf.
That means I stand on the sidelines and do nothing
but watch, listen, study, then activate. I call it the
daily mess, a chronological walk through an everyday world. Yep,
it's my morning pages. As a receiver of thoughts and ideas,
we as people tend to throw things to the side

(00:45):
because we think we're gonna deal with it later. When
a subject arrives inside of me, I know it is
time to dig in. It's still keeping that daily journal,
but by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This
is the daily mess. What is the best way to
stay engaged in an idea? Well, with all of us

(01:06):
moving around us on a daily basis, we have every
reason in the world to be out of focus. But
how can we stay engaged? Mental health experts say the
first step is to define your clear goal, but don't
make it only about you. Seek feedback, encourage collaborations, and
maintain a sense of purpose and enthusiasm. So many people

(01:29):
speak of new ideas and their immediate plans to achieve
a destination, but through change and challenges, that one time
great idea becomes stale, so it falls off the tree.
Having that clear idea and understanding allows there to be focus,
which means baby steps. A leap of faith really isn't

(01:50):
about jumping off a mountain cliff. Accomplishment comes with achievable steps.
Milestones are so important. It may not be huge amounts
of success, but do all you can to celebrate even
the tiny moments. When things tighten up a bit, just
go ahead and tell yourself, dude, loosen up. Allow yourself
to be adaptable no matter what. Set up a daily

(02:13):
game that you can win. Hey, coming up next, why
aren't people returning to movie theaters? Hey, thanks for coming
back to the daily mess. Why are fewer people going
to movie theaters? The answer is not pretty much streaming services.
It's convenient to watch it at home. That's followed by
the high cost of tickets and a simple bucket of popcorn.

(02:37):
Streaming services put consumers in control. They can watch it
on their own time, posit to get food or use
the restroom, which is the exact opposite that you get
at a movie theater. Streaming isn't the only entertainment that
people are getting. Research shows the fun button. Oh, it's
getting its joy too from playing video games. Yeah. VR

(02:58):
goggles change the effect of our virtual reality, and yes,
the pandemic effects still get in the way of making
the decision to go to a movie theater. There's been
a huge shift in our behavior, which also includes our
patience for waiting in those long lines for concessions and
the staffs they've hired. Will they be there this time? Oh,

(03:19):
there's only one behind the counter. Well what about movies
being bad? It's on the list, But really, I mean, seriously,
think about this. John Wayne starred in over one hundred films.
Were they all enormous box office smashes? Yeah? Go see
the bad movies too. They're just as entertaining. Even if

(03:40):
you are bored. Good you slowed down time for a moment.
I'm Meryl, and that's the daily mess

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
