Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I love asking questions, and the reason why is because
the fund begins when you start researching for answers such
as why does orange juice get fizzy? Should we throw
it out? Plus should we be eating more sauer Kraut

(00:23):
and olives. My name is Arrow. I'm a daily writer,
a silent wolf. That means I stand on the sidelines
and do nothing but watch, listen, study, than activate. I
call it the daily Mess, a chronological walk through an
everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages. As a receiver
of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw
things to the side and deal with it later. Well,

(00:43):
when a subject arrives inside of me, I know it's
time to dig in. It's still keeping that daily journal,
but by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This
is the daily mass. Why does orange juice get fizzy?
And should we throw it out? It's called fermin Yeast
in the atmosphere consumes the sugar of the juice, producing

(01:04):
carbon dioxide producing carbon dioxide. It's that gas that's forming
the bubbles. So how does this even happen? Well, when
orange juice bottles are left open, yeast, it wastes absolutely
no time to get inside. Although it does add a
texture to your morning delight. CO two in your orange
juice can affect the taste. Researchers say it isn't harmful,

(01:25):
but it might not be flavorful. Now on a personal level,
I kind of like the fizz. It reminds me of kombucha.
And yes, the rumors are true that your juice can
also take on an alcohol flavor. Haven't tried that yet.
The scent of it can become sour. And if your
juice is in a plastic container, oh my god, it's
got the power to create bulges, almost like bloating. Now

(01:47):
get this. The deeper I dug, the more opinions I
located about should you throw it away? Here's what one
person said, Absolutely, get rid of it because there could
be harmful bacteria and or coming up next, should we
be eating more sauer kraut and olives? Hey, welcome back

(02:08):
to the daily mess. So should we be eating more
sauer kraut and olives. Yeah, we should be. It's absolutely
amazing for the body due to the probiotic content. Sour
crowd improves gut floor of balance and strengthens the immune system.
Olives are also fermented. It's looked upon as being healthy
fats and filled with antioxidants and fiber. The good news

(02:29):
about probiotics is that it puts focus on one area
of our bodies that's usually under attack. When it comes
to the seasons, the immune system, the goal shouldn't be
focused on healing, but rather preventing infections. Olives are absolutely
your best friend when it comes to improving your cholesterol.
It also reduces heart disease risk. Sour kraut and olives

(02:52):
you couldn't ask for a better way to get essential
vitamins while regulating your blood sugar levels. My favorite way
to prepare the two is in a raygler sized bowl
with carrots, cucumbers, celery and protein. I do chicken, sardines, tuna, fish,
and sometimes a little beef. Prep time is slight and
the taste is a total treat, especially when you add

(03:12):
in some olive garden dressing. I'm marrow and that's the
daily mess

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
