Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction. Unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity totally and God because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I love asking questions and the reason why is because
the fund begins when you start researching for answers such
as why are we always waiting for what's next? Plus

(00:21):
when a pope transitions, how does the rest of the
world of religion and politics react? My name is Arrow.
I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf. That means I
stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study,
then activate. I call it the daily mess, a chronological
walk through an everyday world. Yeah, it's my morning pages.
As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people

(00:42):
tend to throw things to the side because we're gonna
deal with it later. Well, when a subject arrives inside
of me, I know it's time to dig in. It's
still keeping a daily journal, but by doing the research,
the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily mess. Why
are we always waste time asking what's next? Well? There

(01:03):
are a number of factors that come into play, mainly
because as a human being, our focus is locked in
on the future. What's next. We have a huge desire
for external validation while holding onto the fear of the unknown.
Guess what. That's what creates the feeling of being stuck
in a cycle of waiting. We fall into a trap

(01:23):
of anticipating the future rather than getting fully engaged with
everything that is present right now. The future oriented mindset
leads us to spending way too much time wanting and
waiting for things to change. We're endlessly searching for that
perfect moment. Waiting actually creates uncertainty, the feeling of being
incomplete and unfulfilled. It's when we compare ourselves to others

(01:46):
that we often feel like life has stopped. It's seen
as a mind trap. These moments can lead to a
lack of self confidence. Asking what's next is a complex
interplay of human psychology, social pressure, and individual experiences. Getting
into the present helps you break free the cycle of waiting.
I'm here, I'm just waiting, still waiting. M Yeah, I'm

(02:11):
still here. I'm waiting. Hey coming up next? When a
pope transitions, how does the religious and political world react? Hey,
thanks for coming back to the daily mess. When a pope,
such as Pope Francis transitions. How does the rest of
the religious and political world react to the impact? Oh,
it does have an impact in a very public way

(02:32):
from letters of sympathy as well as declarations of mourning
from various faith communities. This also includes world leaders through
their voice and decision making. A declaration of mourning is
created as well as observed. The Catholic mourning period usually
lasts nine days. It's after that period the conclave is
put into play. The heads of most Vatican departments resign

(02:55):
until the new pope is confirmed. But who gets the nod?
Compassion and humility play a huge role and is expected
of the next chosen to lead. There must be compassion
for the poor and marginalized. Emphasis is put into the
plan for inner faith dialogue and the pursuit of peace.
Created will be a legacy of service, the physical public

(03:18):
display of a person's humility and how many average or
spirited people are up for that decision to lead. When
Christianity transitions, not just Catholics but all who believe. Praying
for all. I'm ryl and that's the daily mess

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
