Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I like asking questions because the fund begins when you
start researching for answers such as Mike Row. He's known
for his dirty jobs? Does he really do the work
on the show? Plus? How is it the group Kiss

(00:23):
continues to dominate long after their retirement. My name is Arrow.
I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf. That means I
stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study,
then activate. I call it the Daily Mess, a chronological
walk through an everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages.
As receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend
to throw things to the side because we think we're

(00:44):
gonna deal with it later. Procrastination. Ah, well, what a
subject arrives inside of me? I know it is time
to dig in. It's still keeping a daily journal, but
by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This is
the daily Mess through modern day binge connections. We've been
hooked up with dirty jobs with Mike Row. He puts

(01:04):
himself in positions that are pulled off by everyday people,
but most of us would never put our feet on
that path, Which makes me wonder if Mike Rowe really
does do the dirty jobs or is it TV magic
research shows Yes, Mike row actually shows up and does
the work. He performs tasks that are considered physical and demanding,

(01:28):
very unglamorous. While the show was designed for entertainment purposes,
Mike's involvement with jobs were genuine, which is why he
endlessly has expressed his respect for the skills and dedication
of those who do these dirty jobs every day. The
true message behind the show is to embrace the value
of hard work. Mike is a well respected leader whose

(01:50):
lectures and speaking engagements run about two hundred to three
hundred thousand dollars, which I feel very guilty about because
my dirty job is being a podcaster and Mike and
I we've talked many times and not one dollar sign
has come up. Ooh, hey, coming up next the group Kiss.
Even after retirement, their popularity continues to grow. How is that? Hey?

(02:17):
Thanks for coming back to the Daily Mess. Although the
Group Kiss is fully retired from touring, why haven't they
disappeared from the entertainment headlines. I mean, no day passes
that I'm not getting notices about this move, that move,
and other stories that I've known about for decades. Clickbait, right.
I think it's a little bit more than that. I
had to do a little bit of digging. The Kiss

(02:38):
legacy is very real. They remain very active in social
media because of their individual projects from live shows and
the potential of their being tribute shows. Kiss is looked
upon as being one of the most influential bands of
all time. Their music and their image have shaped several
different generations while continuing to inspire new artists today. Kiss

(03:00):
has a massive fan base that continues to support every
endeavor they jump into. In fact, Ace Freely hasn't been
hidden away at all. His solo shows have always been
a hot attraction and have gained in fans in popularity
since Jane and Paul's halting of the Kiss shows. There's
no sign of any of them truly not being seen

(03:23):
or heard. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. I'm
ryl and that's the daily mess

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
