Speaker 2 (00:23):
Hi, I'm Kate Delaney, and what a privilege it is
to sit here with Esther and Mordecai Fince, meet the
Fence's power couples since nineteen sixty four. Wow, they've written
seven books. We're going to talk about success and prosperity.
We're going to start with that one. So welcome and
(00:43):
I'm so glad you're here.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Thank you very much for having I was in your program.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well, let's talk about success and prosperity. Those are two
very powerful words, and I'm sure just even hearing that,
people are sitting up and paying attention because who doesn't
want success, who doesn't want prosper And you have a
gorgeous cover for this book. So let's start with why
you started here and what made you? What was the
(01:08):
motivation for writing this book, we.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Felt the presence of God that God wanted to use
our testimony to encourage the jont couples and also the
existing couple to be able to carry on their marriage
and their circle of life and love.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
To make it a success.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
But in the book we go through many examples of
what we have gone through, because it's not because we
have been chosen by this that we don't have trials
and tribulation. As a matter of fact, we feel that
the trials and tribulations were actually part of the way
(01:57):
that God wanted us to use the victories that God
provided us when we.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
Went to go through all our troubles. What then, our
faith has helped us to go through all our trials
and tribulation.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
That is correct.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
And we go through so many examples because since we
got married, we've been together in business.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Okay, from the first day. I remember when.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
When we came back from our honeymoon, we used to
work on my father's manufacturing plan for ladies wear, and
he said to us, more than I es to come here,
I want to talk to you. Listen your mother and
I was thinking, and we want actually to hand you
(02:52):
over the control of the factory. Okay, I think that
you two are capable and you should be able to
run it. And we did that. Okay, we were I
was eighteen and she was seventeen and running with all
of the operators and the different employees, and we go
(03:14):
through so many examples like that. Then when we when
her mother and father moved to Florida, okay, then of
course you know they fell lonely, so they they we
want to.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
Be with them too. We moved down to Florida. Thank god,
I got a good job offer.
Speaker 6 (03:36):
At that time.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
We didn't have the business first, and we were able
to move down, so it was very good.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Wow, So I'm thinking still back up to the eighteen
and seventeen and running a company. That's a lot of
faith that, first of all, that they.
Speaker 6 (03:55):
Had in you.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
And what was that like at such an early age
to combine your talents.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
Was it challenging?
Speaker 4 (04:02):
It was challenging because we had to present ourselves in
front of the manufacturers that were giving us the piece
good to sew. And most of the time when we
come to a new manufacturer, they will ask me, he says,
that is your father coming up? I say no, I'm
(04:25):
more of the high things. And the one with my
wife running the business. And he says, and you have experience,
it says, well, since I was born, I used to
be in my father's factory in Cuba, and an early age,
I learned how to run all of the machines, the
bottom hole, the mirror machine.
Speaker 5 (04:49):
So it's an expert on fixing it.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
So it was challenging.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
But then they saw always the confidence and the faith
that I had in God. That came through as a
positive and they felt comfortable to hand me over the
responsibility of manufacturing their goods.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
And plus then it was estra for you too, working
with your husband, you know, for you, what was that like?
Speaker 6 (05:22):
It was very good.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
A lot of people say, don't work with your husband,
it's going to be trouble. But for us, since we
started from the beginning, it wasn't like natural. We don't
think of working any other place. That was easy because
then we can discuss what's going on, and it was natural.
It was natural, natural like anything else. You know, we
(05:44):
were very young. This was our first adventure, so we
didn't know anything else about it.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
An important thing that we kept going to school at
night to finish up high school, you know, until Okay,
we saw that she was pregnant, and then when it
gets closer that the seasons start stopped, then we didn't
(06:10):
continue with that process so that we can receive the
blessing that God has given us with our son.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Right, So what was it like when the What was
it like when the baby was born?
Speaker 5 (06:24):
Oh, it was a little hard at the beginning because
I stay home, and but then later on I went
with him with the baby. I took him and he
was there with the cars, like the car sit on
top of the table, and everybody was watching him and plaguing.
Speaker 6 (06:42):
We have a little crape and there. So it was fun.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
And so that's just like more, it's just like you
growing up your father, You were there all the time.
So then same thing it was your son. Right, Your
son grew up the same way.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
Grew up in business and that's why he's.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
He's very smart and very capable. And we are very
proud that God had given us such a wonderful soul,
you know. So, but that was the beginning. Then we
moved to Florida and then with this new job was
managing a factory with one hundred sewing operators.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Okay, large place.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
And that didn't work out very well because the owner
that hired me did not keep his promise.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
And we move along.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
To open up another factory in Florida.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
That's right, And we opened up our own factory with
my father. My father then with my mother. They moved down.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
And we said, well what about and we opened a
factory here, and I said, fine, I will handle these cells.
And then when I'm not saying I was not selling,
then I was helping in the machines and the curring
machines and.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
The chipping nice well.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
And so you realize in success and prosperity that to
have success, you're going to have failures, of course, and
you saw that, but then you just got right back
up and said, well then we'll do it ourselves.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Well, failure is not a failure. Failure is a step up, okay,
of opening up another door that God wants you to
consider to be able to be more successful. And most
most of the people, they don't want to have any
changes in their life. You know, they're methodical and this
is satisfyed with this. They don't want to change. But
(08:42):
sometimes God steers up and create changes so that we
can so that we can move on to the next step,
or we can find the person of our dream, or
we can find the job, or that we're looking forward,
you know. So it goes through so many parts, you know.
(09:05):
Besides that, I want to bring out that we wrote
one hundred and five principles on this book, which it
was the inspiration as God gave it to us. We
extracted from the from what we were writing to be
able for the reader to be able to learn one
(09:28):
or two every time that they can.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Use in a daily, daily life.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Affirmations and you know, those type of things that are
very helpful in life.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
We're not going to tell everybody all of them, but
because they need to get your book. But what can
you tell us give us a couple of them.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Well, kind of take a look at the you can.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
Look at the book exactly. That's what we have the book.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Here is the example absolutely, and I the idea that
people can just absorb it bite size every day. Right,
that makes sense.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
The first one is actually the message that God wanted
actually to relate to.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
The readers.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Okay, that the energy of our souls does not have
a color or a gender. It is part of the
energy of God. By us reminding us that no matter
no matter what color is kin, we are no matter
what country we were born, no matter what language we speak,
(10:36):
we are all creations of God and we all have
the same purpose in this world. Even though whatever religions
that we practice, they all seem to have the same
common sense that we have to love each other.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
There's another one.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
God is the provider of everything. God will be with
me all the days of my life. I will try
my best with persistent and praise, and God will do
the rest.
Speaker 6 (11:08):
It's nice, right, comforting.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Yeah, that is motivational, and it's actually an affirmation at
the same time to be able then to to confirm, to.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Let the reader knows that.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
No matter what they do, God is with them, because
God is inside each one of us. Okay, And and
then but at the same time, God gave us choices
and we had to take those choices, and we had
to make sure that we move forward.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I mean, we.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Cannot sit and lay back and expect that everything is
going to happen.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
So and exactly we go back to the title against
success and prosperity. There's people that just think, well, I'm
just going to win the lottery, I'm just going to
play and then I should be able exactly, they don't
buy a ticket and they don't buy tickets. So and
you both have worked very hard from the time you
were young and learned the principles of working and giving
(12:11):
back and thanking God for everything that you've been given,
the blessings.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
And all of that.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
What are some other things people will learn by reading
Success and Prosperity.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
Well, we go through all of the different phases of life, okay,
And for example, there is one chapter that we talk
It says, what is.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
The reason not to ask God why?
Speaker 4 (12:40):
But rather to say God, you have a purpose and
a plan for my life and what God has shown us.
And this is something that I learned from my aunt Raquel,
that she was a very gifted spiritual person.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
That you don't just go ahead.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
And and uh contradict what God is trying to show you.
You accepted and you try to say, God, show me
what do I what do I have to do? Where
I'm going? What is this happening? Is this for my best?
Speaker 3 (13:21):
So it's likely rebelling of what happened to you?
Speaker 6 (13:25):
You say, why happened?
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Right?
Speaker 5 (13:28):
It's unfortunately, but we can do anything about it and
something will come out out of it.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
And that's the right way to think of it, right,
but most people think the reverse, the why the why,
I mean the mean.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
Am I going through this sickness? And instead of saying,
if you're putting in through the sickness, show me the
way and the reason and healed.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Me because you're the provider of the of the health
and all of that.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
And sometimes it doesn't happen, you do die, you do
something really bad happen, and then they blame, but it's
something that's the way it goes.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
Then within that chapter we also go through another chapter
and knows only why my parents die so John, or
why did my sister or my brother had to pass away?
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (14:19):
So yeah, So we go through those stages so that
we explain our feelings. And now we're understanding that the
reader can take it and wrong with it if they
if they want to accept it, or if they want
to add their own, they can add their own.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
But it's uh is.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
The truth is that one day we are going to die,
and we don't know how long is it that we
have in this life. Some die younger, so they older,
sometime much older. But there is a reason and a
purpose for each soul to leave that expand of life.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
The important thing.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Is what we do with that expand that goes give us,
whether it's twenty years, forty years, sixty years. Look at
this your men that they just killed. Now, okay, so
what's your name, Charlie Kirk?
Speaker 6 (15:21):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (15:22):
He decided to go out and try to help the
humanity by sharing the love of God and to be
able to have dialogue between one another and not to
hate one another, but to accept them. And this is
also the message that we have in our books.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
The book is not a religious book and it's not
influencing anybody Internet. It's just we're just telling our experience.
So it's like, you know, if you want to take it,
you see how they did it.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
The way this is maybe it will work for me.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
Is not something that we are telling you to do
it right.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
So people can learn from it how they choose, they
become wisdom that you impart in it. They can take
what they want to take in it. And you're really
saying this, Esther, But I guess for both of you,
what do you hope I mean, I'll ask you both,
what do you hope Esther? People take away from the
book success and prosperity.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
Well, you hope that they take away to see experiences
o the people, how they go through and maybe related
to their own life, and see that things can work out,
things can be good if you put yourself into it.
You know, if you put your faith into whatever religion
(16:40):
you are, doesn't matter, and you have to be a
strong and continue going forward.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
That is wonderful. But if I may yeah, okay. In
other words, if a young person is taking this book
and reading, maybe they say, oh, I'm not beautiful or
I'm not handsome, that's why I don't find and not wealthy,
So that's a I mean, so in this book, actually
(17:07):
they will find that.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
We were not rich.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
As a matter of fact, we were immigrants when we
came to this country, and God was so gracious that
provided us the possibility and the ability to meet and
join our life. And that's the reason why we're matching, matching,
because we're both from the same thing. Whenever we walk
(17:37):
around every place and they said, oh look they are matching, Machi.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
Well, everybody always comment on us. They think, oh you're
much today. I said, well, not only today. Always if
we go on then elevator, somebody saying oh you're matching.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
So people can get all your book Success and Prosperity,

the idea that you can just take a little bit
each day, you take a little bit from it, and
then go back to it another day, and just like
Esther said, and just like you're saying, Mordecai, you apply
it how it works for you, and maybe not, maybe
not everything works, but maybe ninety percent is just wonderful
(18:49):
for you.
Speaker 6 (18:49):
That's the whole idea behind the book, right, you just
have to give it a try.
Speaker 3 (18:53):

Speaker 3 (20:47):
And to gain that women, tell the next world.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
I'm so glad women sixty two years ago, and to
gain and I will live till the next world, till
that ne world, I mean
Speaker 6 (21:09):
Yay, that's great.
