Speaker 1 (00:00):
Little known fact doubt is actually not a flaw and
it's not a weakness. It is simply a signal that
you're stepping into something new. And if you're someone with
big goal energy, someone who is constantly reaching for a
version of yourself that you haven't yet seen in the mirror,
that doubt is going to show up. It's not a question,
(00:24):
it's a fact. It's going to show up. But here's
the truth that most people never learn. Self doubt is
not actually a personality trait. It is not just who
you are. It doesn't say anything about your character. It's
actually a habit. And just like any habit, this habit
can be broken too. It lives in your brain's wiring.
(00:48):
It is there because of old patterns, past experiences, the
stories that you have been having on loop on repeat
in your brain telling yourself the scene thing for years.
So if you've ever wondered why you keep second guessing yourself,
why you keep overthinking all of your next moves, or
(01:10):
you shrink in moments that you know you should be expanding,
this episode's for you. So today we're going to talk
about how doubt is literally wired into your brain, why
it shows up when you're growing, and how to rewire
your subconscious so that your brain can work for you
rather than against you. And if you decide you want
(01:32):
to go deeper with this, I have a really powerful
training coming your way this week. The Science behind Success
is happening on Thursday and on Friday, and in this training,
I'm going to walk you through exactly how your brain
and subconscious either fuel or sabotage your results, and how
(01:54):
to use this understanding of science. Remember it's not a
personal trait, it's science to unlock your next level. So
if you're ready, let's get started.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
You were never meant for a small life.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
You have bold ideas, audacious dreams and visions that keep
you up at night. But the truth is big goals
don't come with step by step instructions, and success doesn't
come from doing more, It comes from becoming more. Welcome
to Big Goal Energy a podcast for high achieving women
who are done shrinking, striving, and second guessing and are
(02:29):
ready to defy reality.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
In pursuit of the life they actually want.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I'm your hostess, free Sealy, goal Architect, subconscious strategist, and
your permission slip to want what you want. Join me
as we go beyond the service level success to explore
the mindset, identity, and inner work required to bring your biggest,
most Delulu goals to life. This is your space to
be seen, to be expanded, and to remember that you
(02:55):
are not alone on this journey. Let's get into it. Hello, Hello, y'all.
Brace seely Here, I am eating my morning breakfast. If
you have been following my socials at all, you know
I'm on a cleanse and I'm feeling really good in
my body, and I have to eat at very specific times.
So you're joining me as I have my morning strawberries
(03:17):
and we're gonna talk about doubt. We're gonna talk about
how as much as we judge ourselves for having doubt,
doubt actually isn't personal, has nothing to do with us.
Dectla's science, doubt is actually a natural response from the brain.
Why Why is it natural and normal? Your brain as
a record of the past. It draws on known evidence
(03:41):
and lived experiences. It's like, so if you were to
go to a library, you are constrained at that library
by the books that they already own. Now can they
buy new books? Yeah, they fucking can. But as of
right now, the day you walk into that library, your
limitation is the books that they have in that branch.
(04:04):
Your brain is the same way. Your brain is the library,
and it has a certain context of books stored away
in it. You can get new books, you can rewire
your brain, you can add new information into your brain.
But if you don't know how to do that, or
you haven't done that before, your brain will always give
(04:24):
you a record of the past. That's just how our
brains work. They process data and information that we've experienced.
So when we introduce something new, like a bold vision
or a big goal, or a next level identity, the
brain does not yet have the information to know that
that's a fact. So what does it do. It triggers
(04:46):
doubt as a protective mechanism. If you listen to the
episode last week, you learned our brain has one function
and one function only, and that function is to keep
us alive and keep us safe. So when something new
comes into our environment, our brain automatically labels that thing
as unsafe, especially if it means that we're changing our identity,
(05:09):
especially if it means that we're going after a big,
bold vision or a goal. Right, so we think like, oh,
I want this big great new thing, and our brain
is like, Nope, that's scary, that's unsafe, that's gonna hurt
you again. Our brain is like a library or a librarian.
Our brain is not a psychic. Our brain is not
(05:32):
designed to see into the future. Our brain is designed
to be a record of the past. So doubt in
and of itself is simply a reflection of what has been,
not matching what's possible for you. And I love this
perspective because we tend to blame and shame ourselves so much.
(05:56):
We tell ourselves we're bad, we tell ourselves we're wrong.
Then we see all these gurus on the internet saying
that you have to get rid of fear and that
you have to be free of doubt and all of
these things. I don't actually believe that that's a realistic
thing to strive for. I think instead, doubt is there
to protect us when we need it, so we don't
(06:18):
want to get rid of it. But what we need
to do is we need to get your brain on
board with where you're going into the future rather than
where you've been in the past. The problem really arises
is when that self doubt becomes a habit, especially for
those of us who are high achieving, big goal energy women.
(06:41):
We are conditioned by the world around us to seek certainty,
to avoid risk, and to be confident, but only after
we have proof that we've already done it. The problem
with big goals and big visions is that we don't
have any proof. The only thing to show that this
(07:02):
is available to us or possible to us is our
inner vision, which is in our heart and soul, which
we can't see nor touch, nor can anyone around us
see or touch. So we've gotten in the pattern in
the conditioning of doubting ourselves, which then leads us to
playing small, which then leads us to doubting our big
(07:26):
goals again, which then leads us into analysis paralysis, which
then leads us into outsourcing our decisions. I was actually
just on a coaching called Yesterday with the women who
are in the cash Flow Sprint, and one of the
women was saying that she has outsourced her decisions for
almost her entire life, and that she doesn't actually know
(07:48):
what she wants because she's always based what she wants
on the certainty of other people. She has lost that
connection with herself, that's certainty, that confidence within herself, because
she's been talked out of believing in her big visions,
believing in her heart and her soul, believing in who
(08:12):
she is and who she's meant to be in this world.
So the question then becomes, how do we go from
doubting ourselves to building this unshakable self trust. The first
thing that we need to remember is that self trust
is not the flip of a switch. It's not a
light switch, y'all. It's not a turn on and off thing.
(08:32):
It is a ractice. It is a practice which means
that you're gonna show up today for a moment of
self trust, and in an hour you're gonna doubt yourself again.
And in that moment, I don't want you to believe
that doubt. I want you to be like back. This
is that moment. This is that thing that Breed talked
(08:52):
about on that podcast that I listened to that one
time she told me this was gonna happen. And the
reason it happens is because your brain is so customed
to walking the path of self doubt that your brain
cannot automatically start walking a path that has not been
walked before, or at least not walked recently. If you're
listening to this and thinking, I wish I had more
(09:14):
people in my life who just get it.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
You're not alone. Big Goal Energy women are rare.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
We're the ones dreaming big, defying norms, and refusing to settle.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
And that is exactly why I created a Big Goal
Energy app. But it's more than just an app.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
It's a community, a safe, supportive space where ambitious women
like you and me can gather, grow, and go after
our biggest goals without judgment. Inside you'll find real time conversations,
powerful tools and resources, and exclusive content you won't get
anywhere else, and yes, direct access to me to support.

Whether you're building, dreaming, shifting, or scaling, you don't.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Have to do it alone.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
So you're gonna have self trust in your morning practice.
It's going to be there that part easy. The rest
of the world is gone. You're just with yourself. Then
your boss is going to say something to you when
you get into work, and you're going to be like,
oh shit, was that the right did I? Oh?
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Man?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
And you're going to start downing yourself again. And in
that moment, I want to invite you into something trust yourself.
And then an hour later, when you doubt yourself again,
you've got to flex the muscle of self trust. Here's
the activity that I gave to this client. I said,
you need to start practicing your trust in yourself as
(10:51):
if you were training a muscle. Y'all know, if you've
been listening to this for a while, it had frozen shoulder.
I haven't been able to work out or weightlift, and
I'd been weightlifting pretty significantly for several years. I haven't
been able to weightlift since last summer June July last summer.
I did something in the mirror the other day and
my trisap is like nonexistent right now, And I was like,
(11:14):
oh no, oh, hell no. I've worked my ass off
not to have flabby triceps. This is this is not it.
I don't care if my shoulders not fully healed. I'm
going to start lifting again. I'm gonna do bent over
triceps tensions to start re strengthening that muscle. Now, when
(11:34):
I was doing these last summer, I was at like
seventeen pounds. Y'all, guess what I started with three pounds
this weekend. Three pounds. So what I told her was,
when you are learning how to practice self trust, you
have to start small. You cannot start with your big goals.
You cannot start with shifting your identity. You have to
(11:57):
start with things like which avocado should I grab it
a grocery store when I'm there? Which breakfast cereal do
I want to eat? What route do I want to
take to go home today? What do I want to
what shoes do I want to wear it today? You
have to practice with small things that your ego is
not going to give a fuck about, because if you're
practicing with big things, that self trust one, you're not
(12:19):
gonna be able to lift it. If I had picked
up a seventeen pound weight this weekend, I would have
fucking injured myself. So we have to start with small things,
and we have to lift those small things over and
over and over again. I'm getting ready to do the
same exercise again tomorrow, and I'm not gonna be lifting
seventeen pounds. I'm gonna be still at three pounds. When
you are introducing self trust back into your life. You
(12:42):
have to start small. Now, here's the other important piece
of that self trust conversation. Your doubt comes through in
your conscious mind, that five percent that you can access
of your brain, because it needs to communicate with you
like quickly. Your self trusts lives in your subconscious. Now,
your subconscious has been programmed over many, many, many, many
(13:05):
many many years. Mine was programmed thirty five years ago,
and those loops have remained for thirty five years, and
they're pretty well worn. It's like if you walked into
a forest and there was a very well worn pathway
versus like all the trees and forests. Your doubt is
that well worn pathway. The rest of the trees and
forests and brush and all of that stuff that's your
(13:26):
self trust. We need to forge a pathway through that
brush and through those trees and through that foliage. And
the way we're going to do that is not by
doing it once. Like I mentioned earlier, repetition, visualization and
subconscious reprogramming are the things that create more overgrowth on
(13:48):
the doubt pathway, open up more of a clear pathway
towards your self trust. When we're talking about brains. And
we're talking about neuroplasticity, and we're talking about changing our
brains to be aligned with our future. Our brains can
rewire themselves. We can rewire our brains more away from
doubt and more towards self trust. But it has to
(14:10):
be done through repetition. Now here's the coolest part, and
this is why I say visualization as part of your practice,
is because the subconscious cannot tell the difference between imagination
and reality. I think this is just the cool thing. Ever,
your subconscious responds to what you tell it to be true, Like,
how cool? Is that? The problem though? Most people tell
(14:31):
it the same fucking stories all day, every day, all week,
every week, all month, every month, all quarter, every quarter,
all year, every year for thirty forty to fifty plus years.
So it takes conscious awareness and application to get your
brain to start seeing that what you're imagining can become
your reality. Now, some things that you can use to
(14:54):
do this future self journaling. You could do reinforcement through audio,
like the hypnosis that I do, speaking your identity out
loud before you feel ready living as if. If you
are interested in understanding more of how to rewire your
brain for the confidence you want, the actions that you
keep stopping yourself from taking. Let's be honest and next
(15:16):
level results, the science behind success happens on the seventeenth
and the eighteenth, So I'm going to give you the
link to go sign up and enroll in the training.
If you are listening to this after April seventeenth or eighteenth,
there will still be a landing pageop you can get
the replay, you can learn all about it and understand
how to use your brain to help you shift your reality.
(15:39):
So here's exactly what we're going to talk about, how
your brain and your subconscious shape your results, why strategy
alone doesn't work, and actually why mindset doesn't work either.
And I'm going to give you tools to learn how
to break free more not full leacause we don't want
to break free fully, but break free more doubt, fear,
(16:01):
and overthinking. You're gonna walk away with complete clarity on
how to make your brain help you, not hould you
back confidence to be taking those next steps and be
practicing your self trust, and then tools to help make
sure that this is not just a today transformation, but
that this is a long term transformation. So make sure
(16:23):
that you go visit bri sealy dot com slash science.
The training is called The Science Behind Success bre sealy
dot com slash Science. And in closing, I want you
to remember this, your doubt is not a sign that
you're not ready. It's not a sign that you're on
the wrong path. It's not a sign that there's something
(16:45):
wrong with you or that you're delusional. Really, your doubt
is a sign that you're about to lead. You're about
to lead yourself into an adventure that is gonna fucking
change your life. You're about to lead who knows, your community,
your friends, your family, other people into change and transformation.
So I want to invite you today to take one
(17:07):
bold action this week that builds self trust in you.
And again it's not based on evidence out there, it's
based on your vision in here. I'll give you a
very easy action to do this, super easy. I'm literally
giving you the cheat code to do this one action.
