ninety wb EX.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Bucket Evening everyone and a late start tonight. I'm Greg
Bacam Shane Combs. Once a get along with me as
we go to week number two and back home in
hernstein Field for the Chilicomthy Cavaliers at a game pushed
back to eight o'clock because of the weather. So we
hope you're tuned in ready for plenty of football and
Shane the Caves a London coming off a big win
(00:48):
over Washington Courthouse, the Calves losing thirty eight to nothing
to bloom Carol. But you know you talked last week,
and we talked from we went on the air that
maybe the Calves played better than that thirty eight to
nothing score might indicate Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
I think at the end of the day, it's always
a results driven business. But I asked several people this week,
am I crazy? I mean, I know the final score
is the final score, but when you analyze it snap
by snap, I felt like the Cavs had a lot
to feel good about.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
They're playing a really good opponent.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
I know this Smith ran for about fifty yards in
the first half, Hammon had some rhythm through for over
one hundred yards.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Defense was putting.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Some unfair spots, probably held them up to a field goal,
caused the turnover once. So the big play, obviously is
the big story of last week's game.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Don't have to get corrected.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
But I've always said in coaching, from week one to
week two, game one to game two, whatever sport you're playing,
that's some of your biggest improvement. That's some of the
best film to watch. And you seem to have the
kids attention winner louse still early in the year, so
I expect the effort to be the same as it
was last week, which was really good, and I think
(01:59):
execution will improve a little bit.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
You know, now that they have something to look at.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
I would agree with it. You look back to last week.
Of course, part of that those scores. There were two
punt returns special teams hurt the Calves last week. Two
punt returns of fifty plus yards, one around fifty the
other I think with seventy some yards and then two
big pass plays in one of the calves that maybe
a couple new guys in the defensive backfield. It was
(02:25):
a little bit of a mix up, it appeared. And again, yeah,
you take away twenty eight points, but they earned twenty
eight points taken away from Bloom Carroll. But it wasn't
a matter of them just five six yards every play,
driving down the field time after time against the Cavaliers
offensively the caves you talk about week one to week two.
(02:45):
I'm looking for that tonight. Maybe it gives them a
little indication what they want to do. They need to
maybe sustain blocks a little longer. They weren't able to
run Sean Smith a lot. He got the fifty yards,
but a lot of times he got stuffed, especially third
and fourth and short. And when he's back at the
only running back you're in a pistol. Your quarterback is
not really a running quarterback. Per se with Andrew Hammond.
(03:10):
But you know, Bloom Carroll is a very good team.
They came after it and they're interesting to see if
they adjust on those third, fourth and short yard place.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah, it's a great point because there's two things I
look at. Either a you have to look at the
time of possession or you have to answer with some
explosive plays. I mean, this is a London team in
Wall score fifty one points, Western Brown and Hills Brothers
two teams on their schedule. They combined for eighty some
last week. So obviously offense is going to have to
(03:40):
answer with some points. But also you can you can
kind of play a different style by kind of controlling
the ball and controlling the clock as well.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
We're going to take a time out ward Hernsteinfield a
few minutes away from opening kickoff, and we'll be back
with more coverage of the Cavaliers on fourteen ninety after
this timeout.
Speaker 5 (03:59):

I'm Greg Begham Shane Combs alongside as we go to
week number two with the Cavaliers, second week in a
row at home hosting the London Red Raiders who have
been to the playoffs seven consecutive years and they have
really running quite a program. They're a tough conference there
and I know with Belle Fountain who has Tavin Saint
Clair a quarterback headed to Ohio State and what was
(06:28):
the name of the conference again, I lost a Central
Buckeye Conference, Okay, And of course I think Orvanda in
that Jonathan Olver now and the conference with London. So
they've been a very good football team and they'll certainly
provide a test tonight. They handled last week, I think,
Shane you were telling me they were only up seven
to nothing and then exploded in the second quarter against
(06:49):
the Blue Lions.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Yeah, it seemed a lot like the game that we
had here was seven nothing throughout the first quarter. I
looked like both teams had some unsuccess doing a couple
of different things, and then all of a sudden boom
there in the second quarter that London takes off and
before you know, it's thirty seven nothing at halftime. And
you know, when you look at it, they did a
lot of damage on the ground. You have three hundred
(07:11):
and thirty total yards, with two hundred and thirty three
of those rushing, and you assume with the continuous clock
or the running clock there in the second half, that
most of that probably came there in that second quarter.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Shaint of looking down at the track you mentioned it earlier.
I think we're going for good Book of World Ruckers,
a number of cheerleaders or the shell Cofee Cavaliers, and
it looks like probably I'm sure the middle school, seventh
to eighth grade, and then I think the youth, maybe
some of the youth cheerleaders, but that's the most cheerleaders
I've ever seen in my life at a football game.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
We don't want, you know, listen, in the last two weeks,
I'll say this about Chillicothe in the student body, they
really really get it right now. I've been to a
couple of volleyball games there or a couple other events,
and the student sections have been great. And I think
this is the kind of stuff in and education as
long as I have, this is the kind of stuff
where that starts you start to get a little that
(08:00):
school pride and so forth. So, yeah, this is a
really neat pregame atmosphere where you're you're seeing yeah, pretty
much from K through twelve right out there in front
of you, no doubt about it.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Right now, the Cavalier marching band performing and probably not
as big a crowd, a pretty good crowd on Ham
for Chilicothie. As I look down, a lot of us
began to fill in. Not a huge crowd from London,
and I think the Heats played in a part of
that tonight. I'm sure that some people say, you know what,
hopefully if they stayed home, they'll.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Just stay home and let you call the game.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Yeah, listen to Shane and I called the game. Hopefully
we'll do that that you can follow along. Cavalier zero
and one. They were just one and nine last season
as well. Last week Andrew Hammond, the sophomore quarterback, moving
in to play that position.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
They've got a.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Really freshmen they are really high on in Carte Ligan,
a freshman who played a lot of slot receiver and
wing back last week. Von Miller the other split receiver.
They're gone with two tight ends. They've moved two offensive
linemen seniors Don Barren and the Angel System to tight
end positions due to them several times last week as well,
and going with a single running back, senior Sean Smith,
(09:08):
who's ran a lot, ran a lot last year a
good bit as a sophomore as well, and with Zion
Henson saw another senior a little bit of action as well.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
On the offensive line.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
We were talking a little bit about this and they're
moving Cole Crawford more on defensive senior last week eight
scales of freshmen was at center, Rutherford a sophomore at tackle,
and uh and chants they had to think about they
were probably a little younger on the offensive line than
I thought. And that goes back to your week one,
week two watching film. Maybe the couple of those guys
(09:41):
are awfully young to play that first parsity game and
hopefully that they'll have that experience will help him tonight.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Well, no question again, you can.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
You can get as many practice reps as you want to,
scrimmage or whatever. That first Friday night lights the experiences
is just that it's it's that unique. And you throw
in the fact that it's against the an opponent to
the level of Bloom Caro, and it's a little bit
what do we call that baptism by fire there in
the sports world. So sure, it goes back to what
I was saying that week one to week two adjustment.
(10:09):
You knock the nerves off. You're lucky to get another
home game. Now that's the good news. The bad news
is you have another really really good opponent, so you
know it's it's going to be the same type of
test here the season.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
The Calves go on the road to Western Brown and
they're on the road Coursemouth West, and I believe then
before the league starts Welmington, they got those three road
games coming up. After these first two home games and
into the five game conference schedule of the fac only
Calves are heading out. Looked like they're about ready to
(10:41):
come onto the field. So we're getting closer and closer
to kickoff again. Push back to eight o'clock tonight because
of the heat, they moved to kickoff from seven back
to eight pm. Hopefully let it cool off a few
more degrees, which I think it has and cloud it
up a little bit, so not bright sun beating down
on you here as we get ready to start to escape.
Let's take it another time out. You're listening to Chilikopy
(11:03):
Cavalier of football coverage on fourteen ninety WBX back with
more pregame and tonight's opening kickoff after this.

Back with you At Hernstein Field, calves make their interest now.
The Red Raiders coming onto the field dressed in all
white white helmets trimmed and red, and the calves all
in the royal blue helmets Jerseys, Fants and the whole bit.
As the home team tonight, I'll think of back Shane.
I believe this is my not all on radio. I
(12:38):
did some coverage and newspaper in a few years on
the TV on the cable net. It's some cable there,
but I think this is my fifty first year in
broadcasting high school games in a few years, again covering
from the Circle Bill Herald. But it started out back
a circle and then we had a radio station. And
just to show you how far we've come, the first
game I did was tape delay and I had a
(13:00):
real to real tape recorder. I sat in the crowd
and we did WES. I did Westfall because at the
time Circleville was the UH game of the week on
the radio station, and at that time they tape delay
to Tay's Valley game, and I did west Fall. We
played it back on Saturday morning at ten o'clock in
the morning. But uh, I usually sat in the stands,
never got in the press box, reel to real tape recorder,
(13:22):
a little microphone. So this is much better. We've got
an air conditioned box and the whole thing here.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
I was gonna say that might be like, well, my
mob likes to she likes to tape the game, know
who's gonna win, and then she likes to watch it back.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
So yeah, the next morning, takee me. You know what's
gonna uh uh, you know what's it's gonna happen. And
like any broadcast, you have to be I always tell
her one too. And and Shane's obviously a coach.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
And Dana Cousins used to help me out to the
first couple of years after Chilicothy and Dana was a coach.
Dana and I would talk a lot of Dana said,
you know, I coached football Chili Cot had a lot
of kids in junior high. And I find myself saying,
he gets the wrong coverage. You know, Joey didn't come
up on that. And as a coach, that's what he's talking.
But sometimes mom didn't want to hear that.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
It is funny because you know, that's why.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
That's why in coaching all these years, it's never bothered
me to have people ask me, well, why didn't you
bunt in the fourth inning or why you only play this?
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Because I sit there and do that to David Bell
every night.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Yeah, he love small ball anymore.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
They don't.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Nobody wants to do much in it in high school still,
but not much in the ben the major look side anymore.
The Calves will be receiving. London won the toss and
London deferred to the second half. I believe our kicker
for London, I believe is Eline Noble. That's who was
warming up before the game. So Noble will kick it
(14:51):
off and the Calves expecting a short kick. Last week
with Blue and Carol's kicker, I mean gee, I believe
they were already he kicked it into the end zone
and every time so they're all the way up at
the twenty five yard line. It looks like Miles or
excuse me, Zion Henson back deep and maybe Carte Liga refreshment.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yeah, quite a weapon in the kicking game last week.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Absolutely. Now we get to whistle, London is in a
bunch formation. They may run up to the football faking
on side kick. Yeah, that's what was going on. The
Cavs had scouted that. Now they will move back. They
were playing up just in case London decided to run
up out of the bunch formation and kick it short.
(15:39):
And now the kickoff is pretty well kicked is going
to come down to around the eleven twelve yard line.
Henson picks it up to the twenty boom. He is
knocked down quickly at the twenty two. Big time hit
or London. They number nineteen parks. They quon parks. They're
flying down the field and gave Hanson a pretty good blow.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
Yeah, great coverage.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
It was a shorter kick and the opportunity for Chilicothee
to possess the ball hero right around the twenty one.
And I thought last week they were pinned down here
early on in the game and maybe not able to
open up the entire playbook.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
It'll be interesting to see their strategy here. On the
opening drive.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
You set that offensive line, I see seventy one out
over the football, Hammon and Smith in the backfield to
get in that pistol formation. They send one millar in motion.
First play of the game, Hammon wants to throw, throws
it deep down the right side. He's got one on
one coverage incomplete fighting for the football off around the
fifty yard line.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Good effort.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
They were trying to throw the leg and in a
good coverage defensively for the Red Raiders. By Turner Turner,
a senior was right on him and they battled for
the football.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Yeah, probably liked the idea. One on one, pretty good ball.
You give your guy a chance. The officials let both
of them go outed a little bit.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
There, and then they will knock it a wide second
down in ten London, a five man front to go
up the middle, no room, And that's what happened a
lot last week. Shawn Smith actually going to lose the
yard twenty one back to the twenty. It's going to
bring up third down at eleven. Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
A lot of times in the down and distance, they
just they ended up finding himself so many times third
and nine, third and ten, third and eleven.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
It just makes it so difficult to convert.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Amn't call signals right the side off his left hip
is sewn Smith. They want to throw it again, some pressure,
Hammon looking, wings it over the middle and knock down.
Great defense, great coverage way London. They had coverage on
every play that time. That was Tyler Russell, and Russell
was all over top of the receiver. Knocks it away
(17:52):
and the Cavs will go three four and out, fringing out.
I guess to punt the football and again see if
they can get a good pun off. I gave up
two punt returns for touchdowns last week. Yeah, Shank, can
you see who's deep there for London? Looks like number two?
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Is that right? Two? Hinton? Or no, I'm sorry too, Gravely.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Kick is a low lying drive, takes a bounce at
fifty another good cab bounce to the forty, still rolling
inside to thirty five at a very effective low end
over end kick.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Gravely not able to return it.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
London will start on their own territory back inside of
a thirty five yard line.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
We talked about that last week a lot of times.
If you don't have the big leg or the ability
to kick it with the hangtime as some of these
other guys, there's other ways you can do it, particularly
on the turf. That time, he's able to kick it
away from the athlete with a little bit of an angle,
use the turf to your favor and flip the field pretty.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Well to give your defense a nice starting position.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
The other big running back is Noah Solers at two fifteen.
He will carry it on the first down thirty three
and stuffed at about the thirty five. Nice job, they're
trying to set the Red Raiders as we get a
chance here.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Yeah, a nice job in the middle of the defensive
line there. Look like Saism and Company. Able to shut
the door pretty quick there just one yard.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Chris Mason is your quarterback. He's a senior number seventeen.
Right now, they're going with a double wing two tight ends,
two wing backs and a single running back. They give
it to the wing back in motion off the right side.
Pretty good yard. He breaks the tackle and near a
first down was hit. Originally a back around of thirty nine,
but that was Turner on the carry. Turner able to
(19:45):
shy the first down. They need to get to the
forty three. They're gonna mark this ato forty two. It'll
be third and short and their single running back Noah
Soler's senior listed to two fifteen, and he's only like
five seven five eight. He's kind of like a bowling
back there.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Looked like Miller was the first one there for the calves.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Third and short, straight ahead out to the forty five
and that'll be enough for a first down. The wing backs.
When when London came out and line warmed up, they
did not have their uniforms on and we weren't able
to pick up any numbers of starters other than knowing
(20:25):
that Solers and Mason were returning starters. A quarterback and
running back. Gravely is one of the wing backs, Turner
one of the other wing backs, and they stay. Now
quarterback under center, a little different formation this time, send
a man in motion. Sawers up the middle, lost his footing,
fell forward forty five out to the forty seven and
(20:47):
bring up second down and eight. Another big running back
just checking in for London is number forty five. That
is Caden Gossard. He's listed six four two thirteen. So
they got some big dudes in the backfield. So Gossard
(21:09):
comes into the backfield. Now second down and eight, man
in motion and we got a whistle, and I think
maybe somebody moved forward. Yeah, they went early, so that'll
help the Cavaliers moving back a little bit.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Good opportunity for Chili Cofee here, I thought the eight
yard run on the second down play and the first
set of downs there trying to put him in the
third shore. Now you got an opportunity with a good
defensive play here, put him into a third and long
and you're still on the side of the field where
they'd most likely pumped the football, So this becomes a
really important down and distance for Chilicothee to win.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Moving back behind the chain. Second down in thirteen, see
if Mason puts it in the air. They do now
split out an end for the first time, split wide
to the left, man in motion. They are going to
send it straight ahead. They put a sweat receiver, they
ran Turner in motion. It still gave it up the middle,
and I believe that was Gossard on the carry that
(22:09):
time got back to the original line of scrubbage, and
I'll bring up third down to ten. Big play here.
Really the Cavaliers defensively.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
And again I'll say as I said in the pregame,
I thought the defense was pretty good overall outside of
those big plays. And keep in mind a couple of
those were in special teams.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Sleep to the left side and right there, the Cavaliers
got good pressure on the carry with Solers. He had
no chance to turn the corner. Caps came up very
quickly to make the stop, and they will force the
Red Raiders into a punt situation.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
McAllister coming off the outside there and making a.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Nice defensive ply McAllister and mcglohm played well inside last
week's with the Caps defensively.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
I believe this.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Might be number five mcquirk punting or number six Ray
single digit now London short one player on the field.
Calves have a single return man back Fian Scrummage's just
a bad staff over the punters said, pressure coming from
the Cavaliers picked up back. He gets away from one
(23:14):
to not get away from the second tackler and the
Cavaliers have great field position. They will take the ball
over inside the London twenty yard line.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Outstanding efforts. So many times you see the ball go
back there, you assume your first teammate's.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Going to take care of it.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
Punter was able to sidestep the first tackle, but again
the Calves hustling to the ball, get three to four there.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
I know Anthony chef Anthony.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
First, I didn't see the first man there, and the
punter was able to get away from the first man
with great pursuit. Anthony was there. He brought him down.
And the Calves will take over at the London nineteen
yard line and see if they can make something happen here.
As they get a break on the batsnap ball went
way over the punters yet hamming in the shygun for
(24:01):
Nation and he's going to pitch out the Smith and
he looked like he might have lost the football and
it's picked up by London. That is a killer. You'd
get a great break and then turn it over on
the very first play.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
Yeah, just trying to run wide there a little bit,
and it was hard to tell from this angle with
exactly if I don't even know that he ever had it.
And the ball goes on the turf and yeah, you
huge opportunity and you just flip it right back. But again,
it's what happened. The defense has got to come an
answer here. But yeah, missed opportunity for sure.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
The love that will take over get it right back
though hiking over the punter said did not hurt to him.
They'll actually gain some yards. I'll bring it out to
around the twenty six and start their second possession double
hand off in the backfield. Smith another fumble, Smith cost
a fumble. Anthony Smith in the Tabliers get it back
(25:02):
back to back to back turnovers and the Calves get
it right back. They ran a fake and ran a
reverse from their second wing back who came back and
Anthony Smith shot the gap, made the tackle and.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Punched the ball out. He did that.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Oh I don't know who recovered, but Anthony caused the
fumble and Anthony Smith showing up big defensively for the Cavaliers.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
If we get it right.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Back, I mean, we know it's hot out, but maybe
the ball is hot potato. I don't know it's it's
but again, what a great momentum shift though, where you
feel like, oh no, we've completely given away an opportunity and.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Now you get it right back.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
So let's see if the hs and lock in on
offense and execute.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
I believe gravely fumbled it. The Cavs fumble came on
a quick pitch. Now Hammond wants to throw over the middle,
and that's almost intercepted. He was trying to hint Liggan
over the middle. He was in a lot of traffic
and it'll bring up second down in ten.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Off to an three start on the over three start
on the passing game. But really a lot of credit
to London. They defensively tight coverage and again they're letting
them play a little bit, but some really good athleticism
on the coverage.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Two tight ends two receivers to the right side. Now
they send one miller in motion and they give it
to Sean Smith. He gets a couple of best game
of the night up to the twenty three to maybe
inside the twenty and now he's pushed back by several
defenders for the Red Raiders, but he picked up maybe
four yards.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
I think they're going to give him almost five.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
I think the one guy walked in there at the
nineteen yard line.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
The line of scrimmage probably twenty three twenty four. So yeah,
let's call it five third and a long five for Chilicothy.
They can take advantage. They got the bowl down here,
target over on the very first play, but got it
right back. Be great if they can get something on
the scoreboard. Ham in the quarterback, Smith in the backfield.
Send a man in motion Ligan. They'll pitch it to
(26:59):
Ligan on a run and he's going to be hit
breaks of tackle now loses his footing and he'll go
down back at the twenty five. Yeah, nothing there for
Ligand that London did a great job. They ran motion
to the right and ran Ligand in motion from his
slot position. He came back behind him and they tried
(27:20):
to get him in the open running kind of a
jet sweep and he just had nowhere to go. He
avoided for a couple of tacklers, but too many white jerseys.
Now the Cavs do not have a field goal kicker,
so they will go forward on fourth down. And now
they're back to fourth down with the original line of
scrimmage and hell sideline warning. I think coach coach mart
(27:51):
tell me official, you know what, you got a whole
lot to worry about out there going on. Why are
you worried about the sideline? That's exactly what he's telling me.
Watch the game. So back to fourth down, fourth and
eleven for chilicopy. Hammond wants to throw, looking boom, he's hit,
He'll be hitting the backfield and London will take over.
(28:13):
So two London mistakes to do their defense rises to
the occasion we stay scoreless, five and a half minutes
to play and London will take over. Well, each time
the Calves have picked up a turnover, they've actually wound
up losing yard. Of course, that was fourth and long.
You knew you had to throw. They put a lot
(28:34):
of pressure. Hammon didn't have much of a chance. They'll
spoted to thirty one and London will try it again.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
They had the five.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Yard run there from Smith and they had a nice
down in distance and then try to get the ball
into the hands of their athlete and had the negative
play and forced the fourth and long Red raiders back
of the ball again, straight hand off, right side, running
room wha look out almost broken loose.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Ligan got the shoe string tackle. I believe it was
Sealers on the carry.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
It's a good thing he did too.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
He shot the gap and then went low and if
he would have missed him, that could have probably went
the distance thirty.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
One out to the thirty eight seven yards on the
carry second and three, one of the best running plays
for London so far. That was a little bit of
a counter move from their running back. And now they
go to a different formation. They have two running backs
split behind a quarterback under center. Same play right side
to the forty and stop shy of the first down.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
N as have been.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
I think a laid hit coming in and I don't
know if that's what it was, as much as someone
getting blocked into someone.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
I'd be interested in how they sort this out. Yeah,
I'm not sure. I did not play was well over,
so the late hit was called on the Cavaliers. It
would have been third and short and out. They'll move
(30:09):
London out across midfield into chillicothe territory. I believe Parks
carried them all at the time he did. Cass did
a good job as he took it out wide, stuffed
him shy the first down, but a very late call,
(30:29):
late hit right side, not much running room breaking to tackle.
Park's still trying to get loose. CAAs get a good
job gang tackling. Ligan came in late to help out.
McAllister as always up there quickly defensively. He had a
pickup of two on the plane for Parks and we
second down at eight. Well, London went with a double wing,
(30:53):
but this time around the other's changed it a bit.
They only have one still two tight ends in a flanker,
but now going with two runs second man through Parks
looking got running room first down across the thirty five.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
You hadn't had much success coming near side here that time.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
One of the few times they they end up taking
it the other way and nice, nice game for first down.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Got a cab down there.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
Col Crawford, I believe is down and not able to
get up a little bit of London. Obviously with the
two running backs, I needn't see that time, but they're
running a counter a little more of a counterplay, meaning
that the quarterback is kind of opens up to his
right side and then the running back maybe on the
(31:41):
right side, is criss crossing back to his left, getting
a little bit of misdirection in the second running back
knowing that Soliers are kind of looking for him. And
it's been pretty effective. They've been able to break a
couple of runs here that on second and eight. They've
picked up about nine and they have a first down
to Chilicopy. Thirty four o' clock is down to three
p fifty. Cole Crawford's still down on the ground again
(32:03):
if you've listened, we're only in the first quarter. We
started late. They moved the game back to an eight
pm kickoff because of the weather, and I think certainly
weatherwise it's helped out.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Yeah, I would agree with that.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
I think pretty comfortable now compared to what we've been
doing with all week. And you know, that'll be interesting
to talk to a lot of coaches later this evening,
maybe on the scoreboard show there just to see how
that's impacted practice this week and how it impacts the game.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Shout there tonight.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Looks like he's able to put a little weight on there.
That's a good sign. Hopefully everything's okay there for that
young man. Yeah, Cole Crawford. What other seniors coming off
the field of lifting, But you yes, there's to be
maybe his right ankle. And they got rolled up on halftime.
(32:57):
Paint Valley beating and US Jefferson fourteen to say, and
that would be a huge win for the Bearcats tonight. Yeah,
Paint Valley got down seven nothing in that game that
had fourteen unanswered here so far, Hillsboro out of the fac.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Leading seven and nothing over Goshen and Washington Brown, who
the Caps play next week. Beating Washington Courthouse fourteen to nothing.
Looking to pass Mason, Now he's going to take off
and run with it. He's got five, he's got seven,
he's still running, and he's got eleven or twelve. He
just kept bouncing off people like a big pinball machine.
Took a pretty good hit about seven yards downfield, but
(33:32):
he bounced off, kind of spun around and got about
four or five more.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
Yeah, you see this with a lot of the physical
teams that want to run it and really dominate the trenches.
You know, they just stay stubborn with the run game.
That time you're looking to throw and the quarterback takes
off and runs. But that's that's already the eleventh rush
for the London offense.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Here in the first quarter.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
Three twenty left, first quarter, no score, London on their
dry they stopped on downs, hiked it over the punter's head.
Then their second possession, but now their best drive of
the night. They run it off the right side, bouncing
and five yards, hit hard but knocked forward. Cavalier is
a big hit there by Nate's sism, But Nate actually
(34:13):
hit the running back in the back and knocked him forward.
A different running back. That was Kyler Russell. Yeah, so
they've used a lot of running backs.
Speaker 4 (34:25):
Good balance from Russell there, Chili Covey had a chance
to wrap him up about two to three yards in.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
He was able to keep his balance and keep his
head up.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
Good vision, cut it back up the middle and then
you said, pretty good hit, but.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Hitting him on the wrong side, knocking him the wrong way.
If you're a Chili Coothee fan.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
Cabs have put some pretty good licks on it. Shane's
absolutely correct her last two or three they've not wrapped
up in London. It's been able to bounce off the hit.
Now back to Sallers, he's stood the twelve, he stood
the ten. A flag down in the backfield. Sawer's still rolling. Yeah,
he goes all the way inside the five, but there
is a penalty flag in the offensive backfield of discussion
(35:04):
going on. Might have had two men in motion, maybe
help holding even a bigger penalty, and that helps the Cavaliers.
Salers picked up good yardage inside the five, but that'll
come all the way back and they'll spot at the
twenty six.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Yeah, early on the north south running chick coffee seems
to have the answer for right there in the middle.
But London starting to get to the edge there a
little bit. That's where's got to be able to string
some things out and get the ball turned back into
to the hell by time they were really able to
steal the corner. Now, maybe it's because it was illegal,
but nonetheless that's something to keep an eye on the
(35:43):
edges here.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
The Cavaliers switched to a three four defense this year,
so not that defensive end rolling to pass wide opening
the flat. Nobody there. Twenty fifteen ten five touchdown London.
Somebody again, boy, the Cows have struggled with that again.
They blew the coverage out of the backfield. I believe
it was Turner caught the touchdown pass that'll go. I
(36:05):
believe is a twenty six yard touchdown pass and it
was simply Turner who lined up as a wing position
quarterback fake rolled out.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
To the right.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Turner came out from his wing position, went into the
right flat and nobody was within five yards of him.
With his speed, all he had to do was Mason
getting the ball and he was home free to scamper
the final fifteen for the touchdown extra point attempt four London.
The kick is up, plenty of distance, it's up in.
It is good time out on the field. We have
(36:35):
a score with one seven to play in the first quarter,
London seven Chilicothy nothing cabs football coverage in wb X
back with a kickoff after this.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Watch forty seven to play first quarter London with a
sixty nine yard touchdown drive. Yeah, Shane's right. They found
some running room on the corner. Around the corner, the
little little counteraction and then the touchdown pass. Shane, they
ran I think out of the backfield and the Caps
just didn't cover it. Caps pick up the kickoff at
(38:10):
the fifteen, leaguing too the twenty five, and he is
lifted up and dumped on the ground. Well, died, very physical.
No good great kickoff coverage so far.
Speaker 4 (38:23):
Well, you know, statistically, even though it goes down as
a touchdown pass, I feel like it's all set up
by the twelve rush attempts really thirteen if you count
the one with the holding that brought it back. So
you know, you just after a while you start to cheat,
You start to cheat, and then they show with good
ball handling skill and it just becomes pitch and catch.
So again, even though statistically it's going to show up
in the passing game, all set up by the run game.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
O the Cavaliers, this is their one two three, their
fourth possession. They've yet to pick up a first down
him in quarterback Shawn Smith's still the running back. They
do spread out. Their tight end is back off the
line a little bit on the right side and Sean
Smith straight ahead, got a couple of yards able to
(39:08):
stutter stuff a bit to create a few little bit
more space and he's out to the twenty nine positive
pickup for Smith.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
I think in setting that offense line you're sent earlier
when we were given scales the name of center, I
think we just had the wrong scales in seventy one Braylon,
so on the Braylan scales on the in the middle.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
There, it looks like earlier Bowling was the right guard.
You talked about their punter and moved into the right
guards up run against Smith and tripped to the line
of scriage, fell across the thirty, got a couple more,
got to bring up third and five.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
Even there, I'm not sure on the ball handling that
that exchange was as clean as it needs to be.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
Connor Bowen is your right guard. Your right tackle for
the Cavaliers is Trent Wade. Third down, let's call it
third and long. For give sewn an extra yard there
a third down. Hammond in the backfield, shot gun got
to throw pressure throws across the middle. Got a man
opened first down forty forty five, forty seven. He got
(40:10):
one of his tight ends. I think it was Don
Baron who made the catch, crossing from the right tight
end across the field, and Andy Hemmon, hey boy, Andrew
put that right on the hand to put it on
the money because London's had good coverage.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Change.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
Yeah, he really did, and much needed first down, not
just for the momentum and the drive to continue, but
for the defense. The defense has started to be out
there on the hot night here and this gives Chill
Coffee a chance to possess the ball a little longer.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
Aaron went out of mount stopped the clock and now
running Smith. Now he's down hurt. He got hit low
as he was coming out. The defender or London, I
don't know if he meant to, They were just in
his position. Brandon Brown came in low and he might
have came in low and got sewn in the lower leg.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
On the original move.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
It almost looked like a non contact, but you're right,
the defender was down there low and it kind.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Of and that the Cavs can they can ill afford
to well, he lost one of their senior leaders, Cole Crawford,
who's still down on the bench with looks like his
left knee is wrapped up and the boy you can't.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
That's good. Good to see.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Sean is up and walking off, limping a little bit,
and I think he's down on the trainer right now.
I think the defender just kind of shot low on
him and submarined him down around his lowered leg ankle.
But he walks off to the sidelines and we'll see
who comes into running back. Now for the Cavaliers, they
(41:50):
made they're going to move Legan to freshmen to running
back and bring in Henson into Ligan's position a wide receiver.
Speaker 4 (42:01):
One thing I'd say with the Ligging kid is is
the physicality is impressive.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Blake.
Speaker 4 (42:07):
When I when I first watched him last week, I
knew he was quick and athletic, but as I watching
play defense and come up from the defensive back positions,
and you know, I'm not afraid to mix it up
physically a little bit too.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
Really an impressive young player.
Speaker 3 (42:20):
Now they're going to left a clock run out, clock Stars,
It'll run out, and we end the first quarter. First
quarter complete here at Hernsteinfield. The Cavaliers trail London seven
to nothing, and we'll be back with second quarter action
caps coverage in WBX.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
Well back int Hernsteinfield, Greg Vacobshane Colmes and early part
of the first quarter was a mistake prone quarterer London
hiked it over the putter set Selicopi took over at
the nineteen yard line. Yeah, they wound up fumbling it themselves.
London got it back, they fumbled it on the first way.
(44:00):
Chillicothi had another chance from the twenty five of London,
and that one went nowhere on downs, and then finally
London was able to drive sixty nine yards for our
only score of the first quarter. Second and eleven Chilicothie
one miller in motion ligging into running back spot. Now
Hammond wants to throw spins away but falls down. He
got away from a blitzing outside linebacker defensive end. He
(44:23):
spun nicely, but as he's spun, he lost his balance
and goes down to go as a sack and bring
up third and fifteen for the cat.
Speaker 4 (44:30):
I think as he was spinning out of there to Leech,
he'll probably get credit for that. I think he was
able to maybe get a hand down around the feet there,
so I think you'll give the sack to the leech.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
Oh London five man front and then about seven people
spread across the linebacker position. Hammon's going to roll to
the right now he throws late to his tight end
fifty yard line and he'll be short of the first down. Boy,
if you get a guy in the block and now
another injury is bearing is down.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
I think Hamon's a little shaken. Two yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
Anymore, There's been a lot of rules, and it's even
supposed to be emphasized in high school. You even as
a blocker, you can't go low and block. You can't
block low from the knees on down as you're coming
out to block someone. But London and again Don Barron
is what over two hundred pounds the defensive back is
(45:27):
only chance. But again that's the third time tonight London
has hit a guy low and it's cabs have just
taken a shot to the lower leg and knee. This
iss were talking, but I feel like it's exactly Shane.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
The rule is.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
But I don't think you can tackle or block. I
won't say below the waist. Well, I believe it's you.
Speaker 4 (45:52):
You cannot come up on someone who is engaged with another.
So like if I am, if I'm engaged, or if
I'm being block, you can't come in and then go
low on me. If I can see it coming one
on one, then you have the opportunity to go low.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
Well, Baron is whimping off the field. It's his left leg.
He was injured pretty seriously in basketball last year and
he's gonna hop back. So now you got three of
your main seniors out of the game hurt for Chillicothe
and they are a fourth and five.
Speaker 4 (46:26):
I'm gonna punt it away and you almost wonder if
if that has something to.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
Do with the quarterback being will shook up as well.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
Or the Cavs last time with a good low end
over end punt. This time, same thing. You're gonna bounce
it down twenty five, bounce it to twenty, rolls to
the fifteen, spins to the fourteen, and a very effective
fun again by the Cavaliers. A nice job being done
by Connor Bolan the junior.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
I love the improvement.
Speaker 4 (46:56):
I mean, look, they're they're not going to give out
extra points for style, you know what I mean. Like,
it doesn't have to be a pretty thing. It has
to be an executed thing. So in that case, they
were burnt by the big play last week, come out tonight.
They use a different type of punt. They get the
punt off, they get it rolling end over end and
really fill position wise. Give the punter credit on both
(47:21):
times for execution.
Speaker 3 (47:24):
But London all the way down deep in their own
territory to fourteen. They run a little option. Sawers carries
it to the fifteen and still on his feet, he's
across the twenty. I thought he was going to get stopped.
But again, he's almost like a bowling ball man. He's
built load of the ground two hundred and eighteen pounds,
and it's tough. It's tough to get underneath him to
(47:44):
stop his momentum. He brings it all the way out
to the twenty six yard line, and he picked up
twelve yards in a first down, twelve yards for Sewers
on the carry.
Speaker 4 (47:54):
Already, they already rushed for fifty three yards in the
first quarter, and they start this quarter with an eleven
yard run.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
That original formation. And yeah, the official thought, for a
minute now he's going to call a legal procedure. They
went back to the double wing. In other words, they
got all linemen two tight ends. They've got a wing
back right off the right cheek of the right tight
end and a wing back off the left hind cheek
(48:21):
of the left tight end, so they're all bunched up.
And then quarterbacks under center and a single running back
sallors behind him so formation that you see now and
then now they got away on their touchdowns drive, they
got away from it. They're back to it here with
slars the running back first and fifteen and in motion
quarterback sneak and straight ahead. Very effective. His Mason on
(48:48):
the carry.
Speaker 4 (48:48):
Well, I thought he got more than that, but he
must have stumbled and then kind of got back to
the feet.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
He wound up down to thirty, but they says, and
he went down with the twenty eight. But he was
able to pick up seven yards on a quarterback sneak.
So they saw something there, a gap in the defense,
and a lot of times a quarterback, especially as Senior,
will do that on his own. He'll just punch the center,
make a little move and he sees a gap nobody
over the center, and he shot ahead for good game.
(49:15):
Second down quarterback gives us Sawers around the right side
to the thirty five out to the forty knocked out
of bounds and Shane again, pretty good job inside the
tackle stopping this London running to tack the boy. When
they've got on the edge. They've been able to pick
up the yardage.
Speaker 1 (49:32):
Yeah, they really have.
Speaker 4 (49:33):
And you just got to be able to stretch that
play out and not let it get there. And give
credit to London and their play calling where they just
say stubborn to the run game. They know who they
are and their identity and they execute really well.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
Another big game for Sawers out to the forty four,
same formation and they'll give a little of a wing
back reverse on the right side. Breaks two tackles, breaks
three tackles. What's say what they are tough to bring down?
That is Parks on the carry, Marquee excuse me, the
(50:09):
cane Parks. He is listed as one hundred and sixty
five pound sophomore. Well he is. He's shifty, but he's
also very strong. London just historically over this run of
great teams they've had, I've had great running backs.
Speaker 1 (50:25):
Well, we've made so much of the heat this evening.
This just isn't the type.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
Of game you want to play where your defense is
out there for these long drives.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
Another quarterback sneak straight ahead, and there's a quarterback sneak
for four more yards. Mason just keeps and pushes straight ahead.
This is kind of London lining up saying, you know what,
we're better, our offensive lines better than you know We're
just going to push straight ahead. First down at the
Chilicathy forty six, seven to nothing. London Leeds. They've dominated
(50:56):
the time of possession, they've dominated yard each. They lead
just seven to nothing. The Cavaliers only have one first
down on the night, but it's still just seven to nothing.
On the carry left side, big running room forty thirty five.
Good tackle guy and going down low to get the
tackle was Ken and Smith as he came up and
(51:17):
made to stop. But that's almost ten more yards on
the carry.
Speaker 4 (51:22):
You know, a lot of times we talk about being balanced,
and then other times it's just it's okay to be
good at what you're good at. Yeah, that's there. That's
their eighteenth thrush on the evening. I guess it's not
coming back.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
There was a flag on the far side of the field.
Speaker 4 (51:36):
That would have been their eighteenth rush of the evening.
And I believe they've only had the one throw, which
was the touchdown. Now he did drop back to throw
one other time, Entucky and running. But but again it
goes back to sometimes I think people get worried about
being balanced just for the for the sake of being balanced.
Speaker 1 (51:52):
When you have something that's this elite. Sometimes it's okay
to stick with it.
Speaker 3 (51:56):
Holding called first and long, pitching back to solers to
the forty five, breaks the tackle fifty still pushing ahead,
and boy, a couple of the Cavs just get knocked
on their keysters on a blox. Not real big back there.
That was Victor Hitchin's only one hundred and fifty pound
defensive back. He came up and we wanted the linemen
(52:18):
for London. One of the lead blockers just knocked him
on his back. That's how it was first and twenty
five and they pick up sixteen yards on a simple
power sleep. And right now the running game in London
just really dominating the Cavs defense. They cannot stop. They
send double reverse to the right side that sparks again
(52:39):
around the corner and he's got about nine or ten more.
So they first and twenty five and they overcome that
almost overcoming two carries. Actually he was knocked out of bounds.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
I think that was legging again.
Speaker 4 (52:55):
And the problem is you have way too many defensive
backs coming up and making the play well. Chili Cooffee's
got to find a way to again get that edge
contained up at the point of attack.
Speaker 3 (53:08):
Well, Don Barren, who went out their tight end injured,
also plays inside linebacker if that's bothering right now. Though
it's third down and short pitched to the left side,
straight ahead, first down and down inside to thirty. That
was the big might have been gossiped on that carry
yep slors again Swars pushes so first and twenty five
(53:31):
and they pick up looked like they picked up ten,
nine and eight or nine on three carries and they
have a first down to ChIL coffee thirty clock moving
down to seven forty to play. In the first half.
London leads at seven to nothing and think of the
same formation, double tight ends, two wing backs, single running
(53:55):
back just behind the quarterback under center, second man off
the right side, counter down to the eighteen and again
it's a defensive safety and back and having to make
the tackle ten yards downfield.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
Yeah, that really impressed.
Speaker 4 (54:09):
With the ball handling from the quarterback position, the ability
to carry out the fakes and to get the ball
into the gut of the runner and cleanly and on time,
so so important when you run some of the misdirection
that London runs.
Speaker 3 (54:25):
Uh, you got a timeout maybe for water They're seventy
eleven left London knocking on the door first and ten
at the twenty. Let's take a quick thirty second time
out Cavs coverage in WBX back right after this.
Speaker 5 (54:36):
For over fifty years, the Haller family has been here
to help families in our area remember the life of
a loved one. Sure that loved one's legacy into heelers
they go through the grieving process. The Hewler family continues
to remember Sharon Heell with the area's largest, most modern
facility on site crematory and most importantly, with their carrying
and dedicated professionals. Each individual's life is unique, and selecting
(54:58):
Howler Funeral Home ensures their tribute will be just as unique.
Haw Lurfuneral Home helping families remember, share and heal.
Speaker 3 (55:08):
Greg Begam and Shane Combs. We're Hernsteinfield again. Our game
starting an hour late at eight tonight. Those are the
heat right now, London. After those first couple series when
they had some cabs got two big turnovers, we couldn't
take advantage, and now London has found the groove late
in the first quarter. Here in the second quarter, they're
just moving the ball up and down the field.
Speaker 4 (55:30):
Well, you look at the sheet here, you're coming up
over twenty rushing attempts here in the first half and
early on there was a lot of one and two
and three yard games here on this drive, you've been
getting a lot of nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
Speaker 3 (55:45):
First and ten at the Cavs twenty second man fou
right side Parks. This time they got even about maybe four.
Speaker 4 (55:51):
Yards, certainly a better job on the edge of pushing
out there and getting that ball turned back inside.
Speaker 3 (56:00):
You know, the twenty down to the sixteen second down
and six that was Parks on the carrier after they
again fake the sawers and give it to the wing
back on the counter move. They've ran out a lot
tonight at the calv sixteen yard line. Chris Mason, the
senior quarterback second man though left side and running room
(56:23):
to the ten down to the five down to the
four first and goal to go and on that carry
is gravely. Well, you got sawers right behind the quarterback
and sometimes Gossard, but Russell Turner Parks gravely four guys
that all go anywhere from about one sixty to one
seventy five, good solid quick running backs, and when they're
(56:48):
coming around on motion from the wing back and taking
that either right to left or left right, and they're.
Speaker 1 (56:54):
Just picking up big yardies.
Speaker 4 (56:55):
Well, certainly fatigue plays a role, but you mentioned it
two a couple of key cavaliers going out early in
the evening that that doesn't help in your run defense either.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Gold to go at the four, they give it to Solers,
but we got metally called. I believe Chilicothee was lined
up off sides.
Speaker 4 (57:12):
You have to distance pray down to what the two
from the four to the two.
Speaker 3 (57:17):
Six oh five left in the first down, still just
seven to nothing. It seems like it should be about
twenty one to nothing. But London began this drive all
the way at their own fourteen yard line. This would
be an eighty six yard touchdown drive, all on the ground.
First and goal to go from the two. Mason sends
a man in motion, give it to Solers left tackle,
(57:39):
spins fights and he is in for the touchdown. So
London was an eighty six yard touchdown drive. They just
put it on the ground. And as Shane said, when
you when you're doing something well and you find and
your you know you've got the advantage of your blocking
to the offense. Why and they stayed with it all
(58:01):
the way down the field.
Speaker 4 (58:02):
Well for Chilicothe, you know, the bad news is is
fourteen nothing, you know, assuming the pat goes through. But
the good news is you haven't been You haven't given
up the big play quite as much as last week,
and your your special team's play field position has been
a little bit better.
Speaker 1 (58:19):
Unfortunately, I feel like the difference in.
Speaker 4 (58:22):
This game has just been Chilicothe's inability to possess the ball.
So even if you're not putting points on the board,
just been able to move the chain a couple of.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
Times, give you a defensive chance to.
Speaker 4 (58:33):
Rest a little bit on the sideline, especially down a
couple of key players, and that's been that's been huge,
the inability to capitalize on some of those early opportunities
down with the short field or or this could easily
be more of like a seven to seven game.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
You know, Cole Crawford, the first injured lineman for Chillicothy Senior,
is on crutches on the sideline. I know he obviously
will not come back because look at to see if
Shawn Smith, who the running back, if he's going to
be in on this series come back he really came
off the field looked to be in the best shape,
and then Don barn their defensive linebacker and tight end,
(59:14):
looks like he probably won't be back either. When he
came off the field earlier after getting caught a pass
and then took a low hit.
Speaker 4 (59:21):
Shawn's down here on the okay, well, but I haven't
really been able to tell with.
Speaker 3 (59:27):
He didn't have a helmet on, so maybe he will
not go back. In five point forty four left in
the first half, London now has increased to lead to
fourteen to nothing. They run up to the ball now
they'll back it off and either normal kickoff I believe,
still ligging and Henson back deep or at Chillicthy. Yeah, well,
(59:49):
the Cavs had a chance to opportunities when they took
them all over after turnovers inside the twenty five of
London and could not do anything with it. Long kick
Bobble picked up at the six, to the ten, to
the fifteen. Henson out around the twenty and that's as
far as he'll get. Gang tackled there by four or
five White Jerseys and Philicathy again will start deep in
their own territory. You at to nineteen. I believe where
(01:00:14):
Henson will stop.
Speaker 4 (01:00:16):
Yeah, two weeks in a row where you see pretty
good kicking from the opponent in the return game with
good coverage, Chilicafe not getting an opportunity to start with
very good field position. Obviously earlier in this game, they
got that opportunity from a special team's mistake from London
in the punting game. Unable to capitalize. Good to see
(01:00:38):
him in coming back out. I know he was banged
up there on that last third down. Lincoln will be back.
Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Carte freshman back in the running back spot, so Seawn
Smith will again. He's still on the sideline as well.
Loon Miller is still a wide receiver. See what the
Cavs elected to do. They're going to pitch to Carte
ligan to the right. He lost his footing and falls down.
Might have got hit by his own man. One of
the one of the blockers coming back to block ran
(01:01:07):
into actually Daniel Sissons right tight end on the right side,
got pushed back into the runner and they will lose
four or five yards on that. That's called the second
down and fifteen just a quick pitch to the right.
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
That was the same play they fumbled on earlier with
the smith.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
The other time, am and Cross signals straight ahead on
the run. Lincoln pushes ahead. Pretty good run that time.
He's gonna get close back from the five yards and
maybe you get the five yards back he lost the
plus one or two. Showed good strength there, and that
goes back to Shane's point. He's a freshman. It's kind
of amazing how strong he is physical the wise, is
(01:01:46):
he able to compete like he does as.
Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
A freshman, Yeah, he really is.
Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
I mean the first, the very first thing you see
when you just watch the kid warm up is the athleticism,
the speed, the agility. But as he puts the pads
on and the game goes live, just physicality has been
really really impressive.
Speaker 3 (01:02:03):
Good on the play they got the five back plus three,
it's going to be third and seven, so eight yards
on the pickup by Legan and he got about those
last four or five all on his own strength. Ham
And sets a man in motion shotgun. He's going to
pitch back to Miller. It looks like one might want
to throw it now he flips it down the sideline. Wise,
they just threw it away. They tried to run a
(01:02:24):
half back pass or winging around wing back around pass,
tried to get Henson back deep and one really had
a lot of pressure, had no one open and he
just threw it out of bounds.
Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
So the calves again.
Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
We'll put Cavs only with one first down here in
the first half. Clock stopped on the incomplete pass. Four
to twelve to play in the first half.
Speaker 4 (01:02:44):
Yeah, Chili Coathi's searching for a little bit of an
exposive play a couple of playmakers not available to him
at this point and go into the bag of tricks
there and again, London secondary's just been outstanding in their coverage,
very disciplined, didn't bite at all.
Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
Bowling back to punt, he's been effective so far with
a low line drive. Now the Cavs are shorter player
need one more lineman to go in the games. Indeed,
the center in the game centers back to Boling. Not
much rush kick this time a little bit higher and
it's going to hit up to fifty and I think
it hit one of the Cavalier players Smith right out
the fifty yard line. It'll be London football and just
(01:03:26):
inside their own territory. London will start again leading fourteen
to nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
Again, pretty solid in the execution, you know, just trying
to evaluate each part of the game. If you weren't
with us last week, the punt really ended up going
against the Cavaliers in a couple of different ways and
calls the Bloom Carroll some big play opportunities. So far tonight,
Jill Coffee's punt team and the overall cover has been
(01:03:55):
pretty good.
Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
Same formation, man in motion off the upside, solars fifty
forty five and down inside the forty five. It was
Smith coming up to make a tackle for Scholicafie again,
one of those smaller defensive backs and slors at about
twot eighteen of the full head of steam.
Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
I've got him up to twenty five carries for one
hundred and sixty yards now as a team, and that's
as you've called very well, about four or five different
people doing the ball carry.
Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
Chris Mason, he just runs everything and quarterback under center,
man in motion slows right side penalty flag. First guy
can't get him down, second guy can't hit him down.
First down, and that should have been a loss of
two yards and it's going to be a gain of
about seven. That's how Sawers just not able to get
him down, can't get good leverage, can't get him wrapped up.
(01:04:50):
There was a flag on the play early in the play. Oh,
that's one of my pet thieves, so I had five
onto it. I mean, officials have a lot to do
(01:05:15):
and they have a tough job that I always worry
about a guy. There's twenty two guys out there, and
during the middle of the play you're able to notice
a sideline warning but called it pass play. All of
a sudden deep down the right sidelines. Good coverage with
the calves incomplete, as London only put the ball in
the air. They went for a deep throw down the
(01:05:36):
right sidelines. Good coverage back there. I believe that was
Victor Hitchin's on the coverage.
Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
Yeah, it was good on the outside.
Speaker 4 (01:05:45):
It looked like it was a badger there that got
some good pressure on the quarterback.
Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
For the calves.
Speaker 3 (01:05:54):
Well after Sailer's not the first. Now on the long
pass end of the end zone down the right sideline incomplete,
it'll be second in ten. But he said they go back. Yeah,
Now they're gonna have a double wing to the left side.
Still a single running back, but both flankers to the left.
The power run to the left side. Sawers hit from
(01:06:14):
behind down for maybe five yards. McCallister got there a
little bit quicker that time from his linebacker spot.
Speaker 4 (01:06:23):
Excuse me, what you love about this offense is how
the quick hitting action so it takes away so many
negative plays. If you don't have the false starts of
the holds, your worst plays are the one two yard pickups.
So then when you really start getting going the way
they have here, that turns into seven, eight, nine, ten.
But it's really really well executed.
Speaker 3 (01:06:45):
By London slars right side. This time he got seven
on the last one. Now he's got a first down,
spins inside the twenty down near the fifteen, maybe the seventeens.
When he went down second down to ten, Sawlers get seven,
then he gets five or six more than doesn't really
matter a second and long. They just ended to the
big guy and he picks up a first down. Calv's
(01:07:06):
defense really wearing down. It's first and ten of to
seventeen of Chilli Coothy wings on both sides, give it
to the wing on the left coming to it. The
left side breaks the tackle and now pulled down you
get defense.
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
That time.
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
McAllister in on the tackle looked like mcgloon was in
as well, chewing McGlone, and they stop to care for
about five they'll bring up second and five clock, moving
to a minute forty five left in the first half.
London leans it fourteen to nothing. After some early mistakes,
(01:07:47):
They've had two long touchdown drives to lead it fourteen
to zip.
Speaker 4 (01:07:51):
You'll see a little bit in Chill Coffee's body language too,
just a fatigue starting to take over.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
Straight ahead quarterback, quarterback sneak. They can run a quarterback
sneak for five yards and it seems like any time
they want to. Obviously their middle of their offensive line
able to get the push.
Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
They were.
Speaker 3 (01:08:11):
Second and five. Now see where they spot the football.
Now they're going to move the chain and.
Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
First, first and goal?
Speaker 3 (01:08:20):
Is it first?
Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
Okay? I think he said it down?
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Yeah, straight ahead, go ahead?
Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
Sorry are you you? You were saying with it?
Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
With the experienced quarterback, I think a lot of it's
just the reads. I think he has a particular read
that is okay, I can get what I need in
the middle. If not, then I can go to the outside.
Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
From the seven solars left side. Nobody's going to touch
him and he's hit it the goal line, lost the
all late, but I think he was already in the
end zone and I believe it was Solars on the carry.
He got hit right at the goal line, went into
the end zone. When he hit the ground, he lost
the football. So London. Last three times they've had the
(01:09:02):
ball sixty nine yard drive, eighty six yard drive and
now a fifty two yard drive on back to back
back drives. If the kick's good, it's twenty one to nothing.
It's up in it is good. Time out on the field.
We have just a little over one minute remaining in
the first half. It's been all London, especially in the
(01:09:23):
second quarter. Red Raiders twenty one Chilicothy nothing back with
the kickoff after this time out.

Speaker 3 (01:10:34):
Go off Just a little over mint a remaining London
will kick it off, leading now twenty one to nothing
with touchdown drives on our last three series, they've just
powered it on the ground and they have had that
advantage in as it's going on. Just play after play
is really worn down the Chillicothe defense. Now they'll kick
(01:10:55):
it off and a high end over end kick coming
now Cas will take it out the eleven on the
return fifteen twenty A little bit of running room to
the thirty After the thirty five, A little bit of
a bright spot was that Ligan on the return.
Speaker 1 (01:11:13):
Jud they moved maybe Kitchens. I believe that.
Speaker 3 (01:11:16):
Yeah, hitches actually got a Ligan now as you're running back,
so to give him a little bit of a break.
That was Hitchins on the return found a little bit
of running room after the thirty five. Best field position
for the Calves off to a kickoff. Now they they
did get a bad snap and got the ball at
the London nineteen in.
Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
The first quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
They also recovered a fumble took over at the London
twenty three, but neither time could they pick up a
first down or come away with any points.
Speaker 4 (01:11:46):
Well, I really like hitching speed there in the in
the end, the open the open field, they're a little
bit needing some explosive plays.
Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
He provides pretty good field position here for the Calves.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
Art Ligan, you're running back hamming well hand to Ligan
grabbed in the backfield and now being pulled down. Tell
you he was hitting the backfield and he's still going
to manage to pick up two positive yards just by battling.
Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
You know, we got London.
Speaker 3 (01:12:16):
London calls the time out if they're wanting to get
the ball back or want here, but they call time out.

Then they got Vanessa and Cody, and Cody going to
be there tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:12:45):
Well I'm not sure I know Jared it was going
to be there, and they'd asked me if I could
jump in the night and I said absolutely so looking
forward to that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
One good thing when I shouldn't be able to.
Speaker 6 (01:13:00):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
Now, that was before Jared knew that his game was
going to start at seven and min was gonna start at.
Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
Eating time out London fifty one seconds left and a
half and Hammon will hand off up the middle, a
little bit of running, room ligging, fights for yard eage
and it gets out for a couple near the forty
yard line. Not really sure why in London dominating the game.
(01:13:27):
It's twenty one and nothing either, but they also get
the ball to start the second half, but again calling time.
Speaker 1 (01:13:34):
Out when now it's decision time for chili coofe. If
you try to put the ball in the air to
move the chains here, or if you're I'm going to
keep it on the.
Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
The ground and the other thing giving back to them,
you might be It's only the second week of the
season and if you're London, you said, hey, let's uh,
maybe let's get the ball back with maybe thirty seconds.
See what we can do in a hurry up situation.
We were a running team, but maybe we'll need to
do that later in the year. We'll see what we got.
That would be one of the maybe one of the
reasons that we'll see what the Calves elect to do
(01:14:12):
if they force the third time out. Everybody running the
ball third down in a long six him and call signals.
Ligan has carried both plays, and Ligan will carry it again,
and he's sitting in the backfield, and I'm sure London
will use their final timeout was still forty seconds remaining,
(01:14:33):
and the Calves will have to punt the football.
Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
So if you can execute here, you'll probably be giving
them the ball back about thirty seconds. But if you
can execute your direction, we'll kick again and get that
ball down on the turf, hopefully give them a sixty
five seventy yard field to look at.
Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
Keep it right here for the punt and London will
get it back well a quick time out Shane. I'll
come back and review the scoring real quick and the
stats which are heavily in favor of London.
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Chilicothee.
Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
I believe Shane only has the one first down right
that's correct on my sheet passed Baron Yeah, finally was injured.
Speaker 4 (01:15:14):
On Smith was only able to get about five carries
for see, probably about eight yards before he went anounce.
He never really had a chance to establish a rhythm.
Leggan's been running hard, but not a lot of room
to show for it. Only a couple yards on six carries.
And then, as I said, the big store has been
London on the ground and their ability. I mean they're
(01:15:37):
pushing the two hundred yard mark here in the first
first half.
Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
Balling the ball punt He's been able to pretty effectively
a lot of low lying dry punts. He has gotten
good rolls on see if London comes after him here
snap is a little bit high. London does come after,
gets it away, hits it to forty of London, bounces
inside London's thirty five and a roll down to the
thirty one year yard line where it's down by a
(01:16:01):
Chilli Cothe and London will take over.
Speaker 4 (01:16:04):
You don't hear time and score in football sometimes, but
in that case, let that ball sit there until the
threshold actually blows it dead, because you want to each
second to go. So if I have to pick one
of the biggest improvements from week one to week two
with something that really hurt them a week ago, it'd
certainly be their their their their punting and that overall
(01:16:25):
group and in their coverage.
Speaker 3 (01:16:29):
Now thirty thirty seconds was interesting to see if they
try to air it out here and use a little
bit of their passing game. They do move the quarterback
back to a shotgun formation and he will look to
throw its a different quarterback rolling to the right now
throws into the flat on the right side. A miss tackle,
easy miss tackle. It should have been a loss and
(01:16:50):
the Cavs just flat missed the tackle there on the outside.
It's going to pick up about ten or eleven yards. Stue.
I think that was Bill and Beverly, a junior who
was in there. Beverly's the one to miss the tackle.
He's going to come out of the game, and they'll
get mgloone back in give him nine yards on a
little flat pass and second down and one clock stopped
(01:17:16):
him out of bound twenty two seconds and again we
have a different quarterback, number six. We'll get that and
then he wants to throw over the middle man open,
but he missed him. Good coverage by McCallister. They were
looking over the middle for one of their wingbacks. That
was Russell and the quarterback in the game is Blake Ray.
Speaker 1 (01:17:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:17:34):
Raised ball came out a little high there and probably
a good thing because mccalis had a pretty good underneath
beat on it, and that would have been one where
if he picks that pass off, he's got some green
in front of him.
Speaker 3 (01:17:46):
Third and short down to eighteen seconds, ready to quarterback.
Three receivers trips to the left side as London opens
it up and hands it to a running back to
the right side. Forty five fifty into chilicopy territory, brings
him lose thirty to the twenty down the sidelines and
a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (01:18:02):
London.
Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
Wow, they ran everybody the left, handed it off to
the right side to Parks and Parks goes.
Speaker 1 (01:18:14):
I think sixty one one's when I had at that. Yeah, wow,
that's a that's a backbreaker.
Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
When when you had a chance to at least get
to the half, they're still at twenty one nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
They're down and the Cavs as they were lined up,
they ran three wide receivers to the left and London,
nice play call. They ran everybody to the left and
handed it to a little counterplay to the running back
parks they've done all night long, but out of a
different formation. And when he turned the corner and he
(01:18:49):
just had great speed. He got down the sidelines and
he scored sixty one yards out kick is good time
out on the field, eight seconds left in the first half,
twenty eight nothing, oh love, and back in thirty seconds
with the kickoff.
Speaker 1 (01:19:06):
Three.

Back to the kickoff London, we'll kick it officially eight
seconds remain in a half, so London stopping chilicothe using
all their timeouts to get the ball back and they
will surprise they didn't kick it on side to her
Man Again. I think it was simply a fact that
at this point of the season they want want to
get into a situation where they had to hurry up offense,
(01:20:04):
which is totally opposite of what they've appeared and what
they've run most of the night. They kick it on
the ground bouncing down the field and Chilicotie will fall
on it right away and McGlone fell on it, so
Cavs will have to run a play before we end
the first half.
Speaker 1 (01:20:19):
They were.
Speaker 3 (01:20:21):
Yeah, and also gave him the chance. Ray came into
the game a junior, So you bring in the guy
that will throw the ball and see what we can
do when we spread it out, because they're going to
have to do that. They're going to run into a defense.
Maybe they can't run it like they did tonight, and
they do that and then ironically they still wind up
squating sixty one yards on a run.
Speaker 4 (01:20:40):
Well swich situationally, Chilkottie defense didn't do a bad job
on the early snaps and then they forced the run.
I think London was going to kind of, you know,
maybe go to the half with it, and then unfortunately
kid breaks one legan.
Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
With another nice run. He breaks two tackles man, he
runs hard. One bright spot is the way that he
has run the ball tonight and a clock runs out
on that run by Carte. Then we get finally to
the end of the first app halftime here at Hernsteinfield.
It is twenty eight to noth in London on top.
We'll be back. We'll take a quick review of scoring

Rig Bigem and Shank Combs back at halftime where London
leads at twenty eight to nothing. They got off to
a wild start, so the cot the three and out
punt London three and out, and when they went to punt,
they hiked it over the punter's head. Calves got the
punter all the way back down at the London nineteen
and look, hey, hey, we got a break. Let's get
going early tonight and first and ten of the Red
(01:23:19):
Raider nineteen. But the Caves turned around and fumbled the
ball and turned it over. London got it back and
then that was when Anthony Smith broke in caused the fumble.
Calves recovered this time at the London twenty three, and
they had it again deep in London territory. This time
they went four and out, couldn't come up with the
first down. They picked up a couple of good carriers,
(01:23:42):
but couldn't get it down and they wound up losing
yardage on fourth down and turned it back over to London.
London said, you know, that's enough of that. After two turnovers,
and they started at their own thirty one yard line
and they went sixty nine yard touchdown drive a twenty
six yard touchdown pass Mason to Turner seven and nothing
with a forty seven to play in the first quarter.
(01:24:02):
That's how we ended the first quarter. London began to
driving the second quarter, actually began late in the first
continued in the second eighty six yard drive from their
own fourteen, just methodically driving it down the field. Solors
with the two yard touchdown run fourteen to nothing and
there was just a little over five minutes remaining in
the first half. Looked like the Calves and maybe we
could handle the stay pretty close only down two scores,
(01:24:25):
but that changed Cavaliers again. They couldn't get anything going.
London took over at their own forty eight a quick
fifty two yard drive Solars, this time six yard run
with one oh five remaining, twenty one to nothing and
the Calves that looked like ally had to just run
the clock out, but London used all three timeouts, forced
Chilicothe to punt, took over their own thirty yard line
(01:24:47):
and with just less than forty seconds left in the half,
they got one completed pass, wound up with third and
long and they ran a counterplay, the Calves were looking
for a pass, they ran a running play, got around
the end, down the sidelines and with eight second score
to make a twenty eight to nothing. Shane, the stats
from all that, I'm going to show up big time
(01:25:08):
for London to get a lot of running yards.
Speaker 1 (01:25:10):
Well.
Speaker 4 (01:25:11):
Absolutely, the thirty two carries and one halfs the first
thing that jumps out at me, and that's even with
three or four callback on, some holding penalties and so forth,
but completely unofficial. I have thirty two carries two hundred
and fifty five yards. You mentioned the three touchdowns on
the ground. Then the run game sets up a little
bit that play action where Mason had the twenty six
(01:25:32):
yard strike there early in the game as well, and
then the perfect four for four on the pat ChIL
Coffee comes out, tries to establish the past a little
bit early him and after starting oh for three did
complete his last two to a Baron before he went
out with the injury. And Smith the same same way.
(01:25:53):
He had only a chance to carry it five times
and only had eight yards before he went out with
the injury. Ligan running hard, it's had seven carries right
around seven yards, but again they're having trouble getting anything
going there, and probably the other thing beyond the stat
sheet that that would be the most concerning thing if
you're Chilicaffee. You know, last week you came out pretty healthy.
(01:26:13):
Where now you go to the half here in week
two and there has to be a concern because you
have what now two maybe three really really important pieces
and the hope is that they're going to be okay
for week three and beyond because you're seeing in the
second quarter. I thought you mentioned it quite well. You're
(01:26:34):
talking a couple of really key defenders, some in all
terms of all layers of your defense. You know, you
could say, okay, maybe they fatigued a little bit, but
you could also say that they are missing a couple
key components in terms of closing up at middle and
establishing that edge that I was talking about. But again,
the thirty two carries two hundred and fifty five yards.
That has to be the highlight of the stat sheet
(01:26:55):
there in the first half. That tells the story.
Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
Don Baron tight end was injured on a completion, but
he's playing on the inside linebackers and one of the
defensive players. And then you got Sean Smith is pretty
much off. But I think the other guy that really missing,
Cole Crawford, who they moved to be more.
Speaker 4 (01:27:14):
Of the help on defense as there and we made
the comment that they were winning the line of scrimmage
in the middle early in the game. I think he
had a lot to do with that, and then with
Cole out and Barron out, I think it's taken away
a little bit of that inside and London the whole
first half heard them off the corner and getting to
the outside with a lead blocker and running out wing
back counterplay and lead to twenty eight to nothing London
(01:27:35):
band performing. We'll have the Cabs band as well. We
are at Hernsteinfield again. We started late because of the
heat and we are at halftime right now with London
well on top twenty eight to nothing.

This is the halftime huddle, as we take a break
from your game and try to get you through halftime
with some good information. Today we are going to talk
with bow Rug. He is the football administrator for the
OHSAA and he is also the director of Officiating. Bow
Let's go to officiating and we have years and years
(01:30:18):
and years been talking about trying to bring on more
officials that I've recently attended the MAC season kickoff the
Pro Football of Fame. They announced a new partnership with
an organization trying to foster recruitment of officials and treating
officials better from the fans angle as well, called the
Officially Human. But what is your experience right now with
(01:30:42):
officiating at the high school level in Ohio or are
we at crisis level or are we at just sort
of just getting by? How's it look right now?
Speaker 8 (01:30:51):
Well, we were very successful this last year in increasing
numbers raw numbers, and we did that really because we
have over fifty these schools that are that are teaching
officiating as part of their curricula, and and we've done
really well with the young said, but that doesn't necessarily
help us immediately. But we are in pretty good shape
(01:31:19):
in most sports. But we have a couple of sports
that are still we still struggle with. Soccer is one
of them for numbers. Lacrosse is another. And as we
look at that, we're trying to look at some different
angles in soccer, for example, to say what can we do.
(01:31:39):
First of all, we know there are a lot of
soccer officials out there that are doing FIFA right. So
we've made it easier to transition from FIFA into Ohio
High School where there's not a ton of differences. We
are our bridge course in the past was a little
more cumbersome than it needed to be, so we're thinking
that will help us. There's simplifying and streamlining that will
(01:32:04):
help us get some of those people that are already
out there officiating. And then our other initiative really is
to get in front of people that are twenty five
to forty year olds watching their watching their kids play now,
and their kids, you know, ninety six percent don't play
after high school at the next level. So we want
(01:32:25):
to get those people that are invested in the sport
and get them that why don't you come out and
give back a little bit to the sport. And so
we'll get our schools on board to help with their
parents and those to get them involved. And that's that's
an initiative for us. You talked about the initiative on.
Speaker 1 (01:32:47):
Being human, and.
Speaker 8 (01:32:49):
All of our respect initiatives and our sportsmanship initiatives are
really about retention. You know, once we get them in,
we want them to stay and they're not going to
stay if they're not treated well, and so's that's something
that's not a destination. It's a process and we're working
hard on it. When we fall short, but we also
(01:33:10):
are working really hard and when we have great examples
of what we're doing and getting that out to help
new administrators understand that there's things you can do that
really help. And that's what we're working on. And right
now we're better than a lot of states, but we
(01:33:30):
still we still are working hard to get even better,
especially in those sports that are a challenge.
Speaker 1 (01:33:37):
Oh Rug from the OHSA as our guest.
Speaker 7 (01:33:39):
He is the director of Officiating for Sports for the OHSA,
not just football, but particularly now with football. As far
as rules change, it seems like this year is one
of those good years. We don't have a ton of
new things to talk about in high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:33:54):
Do we. We don't.
Speaker 8 (01:33:57):
I'm laughing because face to face rule interpretation being with
a with a couple of associations, and here's our rule
change for the year. You know, color of jersey be
the same, good, bad, are indifferent? I mean, I think
I sit on the National Rules Committee and there's some
(01:34:19):
things I think we needed to fix and really wasn't
like a big rule change, but there's some things that
I think we needed to clarify that we didn't, so
that was a little frustrating. But yeah, the game is
in good shape. I mean, we don't have any big things.
Last year was a big year, a big year for
penalty enforcement, and I think that was a good change.
(01:34:40):
We did some tweaking editorilet this year, I think will
help our officials, but for the most part that we
don't have a lot of big changes. We've got some
things that I think coaches have said in their questionnaire
and others have said as it relates to I think
would help some sportsmanship things that I think we need
(01:35:01):
to work on. But the game's in pretty good shape.
That is a good thing, and so we have spent
our time on emphasizing things we need to emphasize in
our interpretation meetings with officials, and so that makes it
you're right, it makes it kind of a little bit
better year.
Speaker 7 (01:35:17):
Yeah, And the officiating business, of course, they're called poees
of points of emphasis, and I've been to some of
these meetings for spring sports when I officiate, and there
are certain things that maybe aren't getting called enough or
aren't being enforced quite properly or things like this. What
are some of the things that you are pointing out
(01:35:38):
the football officials this year that are points of emphasis.
Speaker 8 (01:35:43):
Well, we really work hard on the calls that I
think are tough. And I when I talk to local
associations and groups all the time, I say, you know,
the bottom line is in football, with the number officials
we have on the field, we're choosing who we watch.
What we have to do is choose wisely. And I
(01:36:05):
spend a lot of my time talking about reading plays
and in the plays I get from coaches, and I
request video from coaches every week in my memo and
they've been great and sending me that they send me
the best types of plays. And if we miss something,
it's usually because we're watching something else. So are we
reading the play right? And are we are we looking
(01:36:25):
at it? And the calls that coaches have sent the
last several years, a lot of it is low blocks
by the defense that are cutting the lead blockers out,
holding offensive linemen from getting to the second level. Those
are the things that you know, it's hard training for
(01:36:47):
officials when you're geared and blocking to look at the
offense all the time. You really got to look from
a little wider lens. So those videos really help we
point stuff out and say here's what we need to
be like can add and why and and so those
are big uh. The others are all of our safety
fouls and really talking about this is a safety foul,
(01:37:12):
it's a foul? Is it an injection?
Speaker 1 (01:37:14):
Is it not?
Speaker 8 (01:37:15):
Those are big calls, uh. And and we need to
reinforce that every year. And then we look at the
things that the NFHS puts in their points of emphasis,
and equipment is a biggie for them.
Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
We are.
Speaker 8 (01:37:36):
We in the NFL are the most strict in equipment.
The difference is the NFL it's easy for them to enforce.
They just find people, uh, and they comply. And ours
it's we've got to get our officials and not let
people play if they're not properly equipped. Because we see
what it's like at the college level, they're playing virtually
(01:37:57):
shorts and and they do whatever they want because they
won't enforce it. Coaches won't. I mean, it's a different
level in college in what they don't need to make
a player mad with a transfer portal and everything that's
happening there. It's hard for them, so that's a big
(01:38:20):
point of emphasis for them. The others aren't making sure
we get cleaned up on our lineups and making sure
those tackles aren't too far back and who's online, who's off,
and those things, and as we get sloppier. So that's
what the NFHS has. So we combine that with what
we think we need to do in our state, and
that's what we do.
Speaker 7 (01:38:39):
Good stuff with Bo Rugg, the football administrator and director
of officiating for the ohsay we'll take a break, come

Cuire back at Hernsteinfield, Greg Bigam along with Shange Calms.
It's been all London only seven to nothing at the
end of the quarter and only fourteen nothing a little
over five minutes to play until half of London score
two touchdowns in the final sixty five seconds of the
half and pushed it out to twenty eight to nothing.
So if they would score again, we the second week
(01:42:07):
in a row, would have a running clock. And Shane,
if you're a coach Barton, you're the coaching staff, you
know you're not messing up well you you know you
can make excuses. We've got three guys hurt so far.
It's hurts a couple of the seniors on defense, but
London's just controlled up front. They're running pretty much at will.
The second half you've got to have psychologically, you just
(01:42:28):
got to have some positives for you headed into next week.
I mean, your chances are gonna be tough to come back,
but if you could just get some positive so you
can practice well this week.
Speaker 4 (01:42:37):
You know, well that's well said, because it's so hard
sometimes to separate things when the result is just going
such a negative way, and you know, you know, I
could pick out things from week one to week two.
Speaker 1 (01:42:49):
I mentioned special teams I think.
Speaker 4 (01:42:51):
Have been improved this week overall, some of the different
things defensively have been okay. But but again that the
the point of attack has just been so one sided.
It makes it it makes it really difficult, uh, to.
Speaker 1 (01:43:05):
To find positives on that side.
Speaker 4 (01:43:07):
Probably the the injury situation is probably my biggest concern
coming out of the first half. But but as you said,
if you can just somehow find a little bit on
the offensive side, maybe find some explosive plays, maybe find
the ability to uh maybe maybe it's a spark individually
from someone that you weren't expecting at a.
Speaker 1 (01:43:27):
Skill position, uh, whatever that may be.
Speaker 4 (01:43:30):
But uh, we we knew coming into the year that
these first two weeks was going to present quite a challenge.
We feel like the schedule will get a little bit
more gettable somewhere in the middle, especially as you turn
to to some of the conference schedule.
Speaker 1 (01:43:43):
So so yeah, you've got to just hang with it.
Speaker 4 (01:43:45):
You're only six quarters in offensively, but you look up
there and you see that goose ag and it starts
to mentally wear on you a little bit. That's where
in the second half, I'd really like to see the
offense find some rhythm, find a little bit of of
an explosive play, and get some points on the board.
Speaker 3 (01:44:03):
I the Cavs have not scored this year's exchanges set
sixth quarters, have not been able to put any points
on the board around the area real quickly, and with
the Shanes Beercatz leading twenty eight to fourteen, would be
a big win over perennial playoff team West Jefferson. They're
leading by fourteen in that one. Hillsboro obviously a future opponent,
(01:44:26):
up thirty two to seven over Goshen Western Brown, next
week's opponent for Chillikathe on the road, beating Courthouse forty
two to sixteen. Unido tight one fourteen to ten over Amanda,
Clear Creek Eastern all over Huntington thirty four to nothing.
Adina won their game twenty eight to eight over Notre
Dame Madison playing thirty four to nothing over Southeastern I
(01:44:48):
think that that's probably Clark's Southeastern Welston beating pinked in
twenty one to thirteen at the half. Logan Allen West
Fall was fairly tight and now logan Ell was extended
out thirty five fourteen over the Waverley alliver Is ain't
trace twenty eight to seven. McLean leading Northwest ten to seven.
A final circle bill against our second win of the year,
(01:45:08):
beating Denton County thirty five to fourteen. And this is
a little bit of a maybe a surprise tays Valley
beating Blue Carroll fourteen to three in the first quarter.
Mimy trace Wilmington, both future opponents of the Calves Trace
twenty one to thirteen in the third quarter over Wilmington,
Ironton beating Jackson twenty four fourteen at the half. Some
(01:45:30):
of the scores from the area Forsemuth winning big again.
Portsmouth got a nice team this year. Again we are
set to go Calves. London deferred to the same so
London will get the football back again. Llan kicks it
off a little punch kick down around to thirty, picked
up into thirty one and on the sidelines and driven
out of bounds.
Speaker 1 (01:45:50):
Good contact by.
Speaker 3 (01:45:51):
McCallister as he knocks the returnment out of bounds up
near the forty yard line and London will start at
their own forty do you start the second half?
Speaker 4 (01:46:04):
Good play for mcallis they're there on special teams. He's
had a pretty good start to the sea.
Speaker 3 (01:46:14):
I thought he and mcglohone have played well in the
endside a lot of territory to cover defensively for the
Cavs because a lot of their defensive backs are pretty
new this year. Von Miller not Here we go with
a quarterback under center and a handoff right side, and
starting the second half is Ray So the starting quarterback
(01:46:36):
Chris Mason. It was just as a senior. He simply
just handled the ball beautifully, fakes handoffs, everything was timed perfectly.
And Ray, who came in on that last drive to
throw the ball, stays in the game to play quarterback.
Here to start the second half, pick up with a
couple second down at eight, I see the running back.
(01:46:58):
If that's Gossard or Solers straight ahead, I believe yeah,
they're just wow Sawers contact again it's from behind it
he's built load.
Speaker 1 (01:47:11):
On the ground.
Speaker 3 (01:47:12):
He's two two, fifteen to twenty and he was hit
three yards past the line of scrimmage and he gains
six to seven more. It's just hard to bring down
to get any leverage on it first than ten. London
into chilicopy territory. Off that carry by Solars. Oh official
(01:47:33):
stepping in equipment issue. Thank you here one of the
linemen for the Red Raiders. So Ray up under center,
two running backs behind him, second man off the right side,
running room. Look out forty he's gone no catching Parks.
Parks ran that touchdown at the sixty one yards at
(01:47:53):
the end of the first half of eight seconds, and
Parks takes that one forty nine yards. He does broke
a little counterplay fake to the first guy. Parks gets
it and I'm not sure everybody you've touched him.
Speaker 4 (01:48:05):
Yeah, just a change of pace you mentioned Solars kind
of beat you up inside. He's almost looking for someone
to hit himself, even as the ball carrier or that
young man.
Speaker 1 (01:48:13):
There's more of that.
Speaker 4 (01:48:14):
Let me get to space and show off my speed.
And forty nine yards later he's in the house.
Speaker 3 (01:48:23):
That's the right to know. He got thirty five nothing.
We'll take a time out, London will kick to the Cavaliers.
We should have a running clock coming up. With ten
forty still to play in the second half, London on
top thirty five nothing back with four after this thirty
second time out Cavs Football WBX, the expert team.
Speaker 5 (01:48:40):

visiting a Dina dot Org slash AOSI today to get
back in the game.
Speaker 1 (01:49:11):
Creig Beacon and Shane Combs. It's been all London tonight.
Uh what Shane?
Speaker 3 (01:49:15):
At halftime they had two hundred and fifty plus yards rushing.
Speaker 4 (01:49:18):
I believe, I think gunofficially I had him thirty two carries,
two hundred and fifty five yards and three touchdowns. And
there they three rush attempts in sixty yards in touchdowns,
well over.
Speaker 3 (01:49:28):
Three hundred yards rushing and we're still very early in
the second half. It was the London of the dominant
run game. Someone mentioned to me in London they've been
to the playoffs six raight years. They're a tremendous program,
played a pretty good conference, especially with their bandoned Dell Fountain.
But someone said, well, they're not as good this year,
(01:49:49):
maybe as they have the Maloney. Yeah, they look pretty
good to me. Line drive kickoff. Calves will take it
inside the ten at to nine, out to the fifteen,
moving to the right side twenty five and that'll be
as far as WHOA on the car. A little bit
of extra Hitchins on the return. Hitchins had a nice
return earlier, but at this time he'll get out over
(01:50:12):
the twenty not far past, and the copy will start
their first possession of the second half.
Speaker 4 (01:50:19):
Yeah, I believe London's won the league there the Buck
the Central Buckeye Conference three years running now. But I
mentioned in the pregame if you weren't with us, Bell
felt in another really good program over there. They had
beaten them during the year to win the league title,
but then in week twelve the rematch, they ended up
getting beat by him.
Speaker 3 (01:50:42):
I'll try to check the Calves offensively him and still
the quarterback sends incident in motion. Now he wants to
throw throws over the middle and incomplete quick pass about
three yards just over the middle to one Miller incomplete.
It'll he's second down in tenth.
Speaker 4 (01:51:01):
They faked the quick pitch that they tried a couple
of times in the first half. Remember that was actually
the play they fumbled on the one time. By time
they come out they fake it, tried to come a
little crossing route. In the past, coverage of London has
just been really tight and athletic, really well done all
night long.
Speaker 3 (01:51:18):
Cartel legging. You're running back again, Sean Smith.
Speaker 1 (01:51:22):
Have some movement up front there from chill coffee.
Speaker 3 (01:51:29):
That was offensively. It's like fifty eight Kaye Griffy of freshman.
Is he getting some time up? I was trying to
get the numbers there, says Iem. Still you're tight end
on the left again. Don Baron injured in the first half.
Plane tight end Hammon legging in the backfield, one Miller,
(01:51:52):
split in motions, ion Henson back to pass rush Hammon
is take and down in the backfield. Back at the tent.
He was trying to get a chance. He was sent
four receivers out, a little bit different look for the
Caps to send that many receivers, but Andrew didn't have
much time and wound up closed in on him back
(01:52:14):
at the ten yard line, a big loss and it's
third down in about two miles for.
Speaker 1 (01:52:20):
The deth of there was a long way to go. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:52:22):
Again, just trying to work a little bit of the
passing game a little bit what I was talking about
with you there af to half. Just trying to find
some different things you can go to to be a
little bit more versatile on the offensive side of things.
Speaker 3 (01:52:36):
Moving in the Week three, third down and long, Hammon
looking to throw back at his two looking looking now
he's going to run with it, running to the left,
looking now, he throws to the sidelines and can't get
it there. Tough right handed, rolling to his left. Great
coverage London, London really better a covering the past, really,
(01:52:56):
I think that Bloom Carroll was last week. They great
cover Reary. They're very, very athletic. If you got you
got about five or six guys in running back, defensive back,
linebacker position that all seemed to be five eleven, six
one and about one to seventy five. They're just really athletic.
Speaker 4 (01:53:14):
I would agree with you there. I think that just
in itself shows up in their running attack. You know
they can do them with some physicality. They can do
it with some speed. Do you really see it in
their linebacker and their secondary play in their pass coverage
as well.
Speaker 3 (01:53:28):
Bowler and set the punt. This was a pretty good punt.
Over top of it, London back to take it into
forty five, reverse back to the fifty now Chilicothee territory,
forty down to the thirty down the right sidelines cuts
it back, misstackle and a late flag, but all the
way back into fifteen of Chilicothee. Quite a return. And
again that's Gravely. We talk a lot about Selers and
(01:53:50):
he's kind of a bowling bowl guy, just big and
strong and built low to the ground, but Gravely in
Parks and Turner and Russell are quick running backs.
Speaker 4 (01:54:00):
Well, I would throw this at you too, like I
think most football people would watch that ball come off
his foot and go in the air and say, well,
that was his best punt of the night. Where I
would argue, back to my point from last week, correct,
what that also did was allow an elite athlete to
touch it.
Speaker 1 (01:54:14):
I like some of the strategy in the first half
where they're able to.
Speaker 4 (01:54:16):
Use some angles and some different things where they're rolling
it on the turf and so forth, and keeping it
away from them. So that's just something to keep in
mind as you go forward, because you know the other
team's putting a pretty elite athlete back there. When when
he's able to touch it, the special things are going
to happen.
Speaker 3 (01:54:32):
Yeah, his line drive low punts were affective, non returnable.
London's going to throw the football. They throw it out
the Gravelly to the left side down around the twenty,
picked up about five or six yards as Ray still
in a quarterback throwing the football. Thirty five nothing, London
running clock down to five forty two to play in
(01:54:53):
the third quarter. It'll be down to the twenty on
the pass Ray to Gravely and now second down and
four six yards on the pickup. Ray's still your quarterback
and still Solers. Sawers right side off right guard, breaks
(01:55:13):
the tackle down to the fifteen, heads to the sidelines
to the ten. Beverly excuse me, Hitchin stries to get
him down and finally able to get him down right
near the goal line. Pick up of about nineteen for Sawers.
Speaker 1 (01:55:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:55:26):
Again, he just unable forward lean in that body type.
Yah just can't get into him to make a tackle.
He's able to maintain balance and push ahead.
Speaker 4 (01:55:37):
Well, we've talked about his physicality all night. There he
shows off his Speed's probably a little underrated when he
gets when he gets downhill and starts going north.
Speaker 3 (01:55:45):
Sound from the two first and goal to go, London
will try to put it over the forty point mark,
leading thirty five to nothing. Ray Man in motion, fumbles
the ball, picks it up and he's brought down at
the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 1 (01:56:00):
The second goal to go.
Speaker 4 (01:56:05):
Good job of just maintaining possession there. Yeah, I would
wonder with London's attack. They obviously had the experienced quarterback
and what they do at the run game. If this
was a team that had to fall fall behind in
a game and had to play from behind, you'd wonder
what their their plan.
Speaker 1 (01:56:21):
Of attack would be.
Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
Ray I had a game to half hour on that.
Play Ray under center and give the left side. I'd
think it Sellers went right, the runner came to the left.
It was a runner coming to the left. Touchdown London
and I'm not sure might have been number seven if
(01:56:45):
that was Turner on the score. They tried to spread
it around a bit five to nine running back here
June Turner on their roster. The London scores for the
second time here in the second quarter. They have a
(01:57:11):
side judging this. I don't think Bart's going to be
throllab with him. He's called sideline warning twice and now
it's forty one to nothing with a running clock and
Jell Coffee lined up off sides on the extra point
is what it is? I'll kick the extra point is
I'll make it forty two three twelve and the kick
is up and the kick is good number twelve. Eline
(01:57:34):
Noble's been perfect on the extra points. Forty two to nothing,
London on top and we'll have the kickoff in a
moment you're listening to Cavs coverage, is they trail the
Red Raiders back in thirty seconds?
Speaker 6 (01:57:47):

Speaker 4 (01:58:32):
On and then get a final Yeah you were asking earlier,
Madison plains that was Southeastern here locally, Okay it is.
Speaker 3 (01:58:40):
It was not Clark Southeastern, So London will be kicking off.
They were actually starting to let the clock run during
the time. Hell, after the extra pointment stopped it and
I guess now we'll start it up again.
Speaker 1 (01:58:54):
It was London again.
Speaker 3 (01:58:57):
Fakes the on side now moves back for the regular kickoff,
and they do start to clock even before the kickoff.
Noble kicks it off. High, short kick coming up this time,
and it's going to bounce past the Calves back to
the sixteen. They'll pick it up and down immediately. Great coverage,
effective kick, and the Calves are going to start at
their own sixteen yard line. Still in the third quarter,
(01:59:20):
forty two to nothing. It was twenty eight to nothing
at a half, and the Calves losing last week thirty
eight to nothing, down forty two to nothing of not
scored this season. And next week, of course they go
to Western.
Speaker 4 (01:59:35):
Brown, Western Brown putting up some points here in the
first two weeks they happen.
Speaker 1 (01:59:42):
And what was that.
Speaker 4 (01:59:43):
I believe that was on the last play of the
game last week when they when they scored to beat
Hillsboro forty two to thirty nine. And then I scoring
game the scores you were reading off earlier, they put
some points on the boarding ins courthouse Tonight crack and
they were in the forties.
Speaker 3 (01:59:57):
I believe Tonight over the Blue Lions him and still
the quarterback. We'll see if we can get any other changes.
Henson the man in motion. They give it to him.
He breaks to the outside and he's going to lose
back to the ten yard line.
Speaker 1 (02:00:11):
Kind of a chat.
Speaker 3 (02:00:12):
Sweet made a move in, then back out and Henson
tackled for a loss of three. It'll be second down
in thirteen, moving down one fourteen one thirteen.
Speaker 1 (02:00:25):
Third quarter.
Speaker 3 (02:00:27):
I sure several of the Cavaliers probably thinking they wish
it was the fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (02:00:33):
And I see.
Speaker 3 (02:00:37):
Three guys heard this is not good news. There's a
nice carry, a little bit of running room for Liggan
out of the twenty twenty two fights for yard age
and out over the twenty five to the twenty seven.
Carte has been a brank spot tonight, in fact that
he you're down forty two to nothing, he's fighting for
every yard.
Speaker 1 (02:00:54):
No question.
Speaker 4 (02:00:55):
I've That's what I was saying earlier. Just so impressed
with just everything in that young man's game.
Speaker 3 (02:01:01):
Looking down the sidelines, senior Don Baron injured the first
half on crutches, Cole Crawford injured the first half on crutches,
and Sean Smith, senior running back, injured the first half
on crutches. All three guys on the sidelines in their
white T shirts but with crutches. Now you don't know
how serious, but that's not a good news. Ligging on
(02:01:22):
the carry, a little bit of running room, breaks to
the outside, gets to the thirty and now we'll be
shoved out of bounds after pickup of about four. A
little bit of a bright spot there for the Cavaliers
and at the quarter, continuing to run, we'll come to
(02:01:45):
an end. We finished three quarters of action forty two
to up in London. Well, it has a well in
hand here at Hernstein Field. We'll be back with the
fourth quarter. You're listening to CABS football coverage in wb EX.
Speaker 1 (02:01:59):
Sixty.

Speaker 3 (02:03:13):
Back to the action. Second down, the Calves try to
go deep, try to get a deep one from Hammond
to Jan Miller, and the defensive back on the coverage
for London is down with the cramp. That's gravely one
of their running backs on the nie plane defensive corner
and cramping on the sidelines, his teammates helping him out.
(02:03:35):
Now the trainer will get across the field. Well, I
guess they won't let the clock run during an injury
time out. So the end, the Calves was seven and
up at the end of the first quarter, and if
we started at late at eight o'clock, London on their
first offensive possession, the Calves stopped him three and out
(02:03:57):
and then London snapped the ball over their punter's head.
Cavaliers were able to tackle the thunder back at the nineteen.
Looked like we were going to get off to a
great start, but the Calves turned around and turned it
over themselves. Then Anthony Smith broke through and caused a fumble.
Calves got it right back on the very next play,
so we had bad snap fumble, fumble and the Calves
(02:04:18):
on down. Starting at the twenty three of London couldn't
do anything with it. So they had two good chances
inside the twenty five yard line in the first quarter
and couldn't pick up a first down either time. And
then London gradually took over a sixty nine yard touchdown
drive and then a little bit later in eighty six
yard touchdown drive. They dominated on the ground over two
(02:04:41):
hundred and fifty yards rushing in the first half, and
they just went on from there to take control of
the game. And add to that Calves three injuries to
three of their senior starters, and that hasn't helped it.
That does not make a forty two point difference. London
is the better football team, there's no doubt about that.
So by now there're ten too gravely, but he's going
to walk off. He was you could tell when he
(02:05:03):
quit a running he was grabbing his calf muscle and
certainly a warm enough night to have some cramping.
Speaker 4 (02:05:11):
Absolutely offensively here in the first two weeks, it's it's
a chili Coothy's inability to put back to back plays together.
They've had some negative plays that's just put him in
some incredible down and distance that there's just been too
much to overcome, especially against the quality opponent of Bloom
Carow and now London.
Speaker 3 (02:05:32):
But Tyson Speakman is in a left guard for the Cows.
Now I'm in the quarterback. It's third down and six
takes a snap, wants to throw throws again down the
sidelines for one Miller and double coverage, and I think
they're going to call interference. It was a double coverage.
(02:05:55):
Miller didn't have a whole lot of chance. He went
way up in the air. Now one Miller is slow
getting up, but he has back up and that'll give
the Calves just their second first down of the night.
This one be a penalty defensive pass interference had to be.
I thought that was pretty good coverage to be truthful, though, well, yeah,
I couldn't see the back earlier in the route.
Speaker 4 (02:06:15):
Early on in the game, I'd made the comment that
they were letting them both play. I thought Chilicothee easily
could have been the the benefit of some calls similar
to that earlier in the game when the game was
far more competitive at that point.
Speaker 3 (02:06:29):
So the Calves do get a first down via the penalty,
bringing out to their own forty six and in motion
him and well hand it off running room fifty forty
five room down the left sidelines, Carte liggan and taking
out of bounds, but he picks up another first down.
That's a second first down of the series, third of
the night for Chillikathy.
Speaker 4 (02:06:48):
Probably about sixteen yards again, starting to get a little
bit of space to show off his speed.
Speaker 1 (02:06:53):
There.
Speaker 4 (02:06:54):
He's already been able to show you the ability to
make people miss and run with some physicality as well.
So overall, real, real, nice bright spot that we were
looking for here for Chilicopy, I know coach Barla follow
me and you talked about in the preseason. He didn't
know that if the freshman was ready just to be
a feature back, we just hammer on him twenty twenty
five times. But he said, as the year goes on,
(02:07:14):
you'll start to see him utilize more and in more
ways as well.
Speaker 3 (02:07:19):
Hammond wants to throw. Look at a man hand a
man all right wide opening the flats to the right
side with sism. He tried to throw to the left
flat and good coverage. That's Dane Bear and the sophomore
Dom his older brother injured and that time good defense.
London got a hand on it and it'll be second
(02:07:40):
in second and ten from the London thirty eight yard line.
If they go back and let Ligan run this one,
I'm coming back. Ham And calls signals and from the
shotgun hands that's a Ligan straight ahead, not much running room,
but his normal carte with a one yard game makes
it a three yard game. Keeping those feet driving, picks
(02:08:03):
up a couple to be third down. Cavaliers clock on
a continuous running clock down to nine minutes to play
in the ballgame. London leading forty two to nothing. They
love twenty eight to nothing. They scored two touchdowns in
the last minute three of the first half to blow
this one open.
Speaker 4 (02:08:19):
Hammon's Hammond's is their own some nice balls tonight. Just
I think this week compared to last you mentioned at
the defensive one. Then the windows just a little bit
tighter this week.
Speaker 1 (02:08:31):
And in motion.
Speaker 3 (02:08:32):
Hammon takes a snap and he hands it on a
counterplay to lig and he bounces up to the thirty.
They overloaded the right side and trying to get Legan
a little bit of a counterplay. That was their big
run earlier in this series. At that time, Ligan picks
up pretty good yard. Hege's going to bring a fourth
down fourth and two clock running coming up on the
(02:08:55):
eight minutes left in the ball game. Fourth down Hammon
and he got to jump left defensive end for London,
fell for it and jumps off side. That's Leech, a junior,
Timothy Leech jumped off sides and now to give the
Calves another first down. The Calves only had one first
down the entire night until this series. Then they picked
(02:09:19):
up three or four first downs.
Speaker 4 (02:09:20):
Again, it doesn't seem like much to some, but I
really think the ability to put a drive together, have
some confidence to put some.
Speaker 1 (02:09:25):
Points on the board.
Speaker 3 (02:09:26):
We go a long one fake to Legan, throw in
the flat wide open at the twenty, sysm to the fifteen,
knocked down at the thirteen, and then he stays down
and again another low tackle and all these big guys
are London really on their defensive backs have been taught
to come in low and sism lumping back. But he's
(02:09:46):
going to stay in the game. Actually he's holding his
back ice pattern. He came out wide, opening the flat
to the left side him and hitting and a first
down again for the Calves. They're inside the fifteen, right
around the fourteen first and ten Cavs looking for their
first points of twenty twenty four. They can get it
in the end, saying Hammon looks to throw and the
ball batted down near the goal, down to the line
(02:10:09):
of scrimmage. Tried to go to a quick out to Hanson,
ball got batted down. It'll be second in ten. Actually
the ball he's at to thirteen of London.
Speaker 4 (02:10:25):
Again, the incomplete doesn't hurt you nearly as much as
the negative play. And again last week and earlier tonight,
the negative play has been setting behind the change.
Speaker 3 (02:10:33):
Give it the leg and straight ahead, bounces falls forward
from the thirteen to the tent, pick up of a
couple three. It'll bring up third down Chilicothy and they've
reached a ten yard line of London. Maybe just inside
called to nine six nineteen, said clock, course not clock
is continuously running, legging back with Hammon, and I'll run
(02:10:59):
it again. The Licoln gets to the outside to the
tent to the five. Ligan dives. Is he in for
the touchdown you but there's a penalty flag in the backfield.
Carte Ligan with the first points of the season for
ChIL Coffee, and it may be called back. They again,
(02:11:21):
they kind of ran the motion to the right, overloaded
and then ran a counterplay the ligand got him outside
as much as London did a lot in the first half,
and he had the angle. He's got great speed. He
dove in on right on the pylon signal touchdown and
I didn't see what the penalty was at holding.
Speaker 1 (02:11:39):
It'll bring us down back in Yarns a big one. Yeah,
it was.
Speaker 4 (02:11:42):
That young man's gonna be a special backer. You see
it in his feet, you see the speed, you see
it in this physicality he can. He can come at
you a lot of different ways.
Speaker 3 (02:11:49):
Now, ligging out of the game on third down and
fifteen after the penalty, one miller in motion and now
they send me back and til cop he's going to
have to call time out. We've got a new running
back for the Calves, Andrew Brown five, nine hundred and
seventy pounds junior. We'll go three deep into the backfield.
(02:12:11):
Of course, Shawn Smith there, senior running back, injured in
the first half and Ligoan has taken over. The freshman
moved from wing back to tailback, and he's there's been
one bright spot.
Speaker 1 (02:12:22):
It's it's been.
Speaker 3 (02:12:23):
Cartelegan tonight, no question, keep it right here. Cabs had
a little bit of a mix up there. Well, that's
a shame that you wind up get a touchdown. And
I agree with Shane if it's not going to make
a difference in the game, but you get a score,
it gives you a little bit of a bright spot,
something good to work on going in next week. That
you're able to move the ball down the field.
Speaker 4 (02:12:47):
Well yeah, just you know, a drive like this gives
the offensive line a little bit of confidence, gives your
young quarterback a little bit of confidence to put something
else on film. You know, hopefully Smith is okay and
able to return here next week. But again, if you're
without these weapons moving forward, you're gonna have to have
some different weapons step up and make some play. So
(02:13:09):
to see some young tight end play and some young
running back play is really important.
Speaker 1 (02:13:14):
Here.
Speaker 3 (02:13:14):
They're down hamm and looking to pass. Got Pressure throws
it over the middle of lake. Great, got By says,
great catch, She's brought down. They picked up about five yards.
Nice catch, but Daniel sism it brought down immediately and
now we got another London player down. So the cramping's
starting to take over for the heat. The clock walls
(02:13:39):
stop again on the injured London player, it's going to
bring a fourth down for Chili Cofee system was able
to get to the thirteen on the pass. We had
a nice grab of that past as Hammon had a
lot of pressure and got hit.
Speaker 1 (02:13:53):
Well. Give credit to the young quarterback just standing in there.
Speaker 4 (02:13:56):
He knew he was going to take a shot and
to get that off and then able to tied in athletically,
able to put the big pall back here in just
one handed, right out of the air and tuck it in.
Speaker 1 (02:14:07):
Well done.
Speaker 3 (02:14:12):
If we get next week back on the air, assume
we're back to a regular seven pm kickoff next week
away game at Western Brown. That we've been to Western Brown.
So now the injured London player again of another cramp
or one of the Red Raiders coming off the field
is Braxton Brown. So Brown, we'll walk off under his
(02:14:42):
own power after the cramps and we'll come back in
the Calves face a fourth down at the thirteen. They
must reach the four. It's almost a ten yard they
need for a first down.
Speaker 1 (02:15:01):
Got Miller one on one out here on the near side.
Speaker 3 (02:15:04):
Round the running back fake hamm and looks those deep
down on the left side. Miller can't hang on. They
ran a nice corner pattern and they're gonna call Miller
for the shove anyway. Oh one Miller going down into
(02:15:25):
the pylon. Uh, it is against Chilicothe. Oh Della was
call had he been able to catch it him and
throw the ball anywhere? He had to put away from London.
(02:15:47):
Got it deep in the corner and one had slowed down.
There was some contact and as he kind of pushed off,
he reached up once. Is not a real tall player.
Maybe got a fingertip on it. Couldn't pull it down
the deep corner. But flying on Chilico.
Speaker 1 (02:16:00):
I think so.
Speaker 3 (02:16:00):
The Cavs score touchdown earlier, but call back because of
the penalty, and now they will not get on the
board and London will come back out with the football.
We're under five minutes to play forty two to nothing.
Red Raiders on top. Looks like we got some maybe
a couple new people in for the Cavaliers. Look came
un pleasant. Dane Barron, the younger brother is in there. Defensively,
(02:16:27):
see what London lucks to do. They're just going to
run the quarterback sneak straight ahead. Defensively for the Cavaliers,
looks like number thirty three Tay Harris sophomore in the lineup,
and now five or six more new people come in
for Chilicothy and the running clock down to four to twenty.
Speaker 1 (02:16:50):
This is where if London chooses they can really use
the play clock to help this thing along a little bit.
Speaker 3 (02:16:59):
Brown, who mentioned earlier was in as a running back,
now comes in defensively. Kanan Peterson getting some time in
there as well. Sec ad down straight ahead on the
run and out across the twenty nearer first down. Looks
like I think London has maybe some new backs in
(02:17:22):
the game as we try to number number three for
the Red Raiders, that is Isaiah Hinton Arry Dwell on
that play. So he did get to first down and
the clock will keep running. London with the football were
down to three twenty seven in the running clock, forty
(02:17:43):
two and enough in Red Raiders back to the two
tight ends, two wing backs, single running back, single running
back off the right side, picks up four or five
good close, quick, close downer for the defense for the Cavaliers.
Andrew Brown in on the tackle.
Speaker 1 (02:18:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:18:00):
Brown did a nice job of coming up from the
secondary spot and delivering a blow.
Speaker 3 (02:18:05):
Second and five five yards on the pickup. Yeah, almost,
if London would they could. They've still got twenty five
seconds on the play clock. They could take this a
little slower if they wanted. It's like, is number thirteen
or knew that would be the third quarterback to play tonight.
That would be Neil run around the left side, some
(02:18:28):
running room and tackled first down, London out across the
thirty five to thirty six Cavalier se defensively Solomon Dixon
into the lineup. He goes Isaiah Hinton on the carry
for London. London again still a thirty second. It doesn't
(02:18:51):
know they got a long time. They could run the
play clock all the way down. But if they're just
getting their play coming out and running the.
Speaker 4 (02:19:00):
Getting some younger kids, some Friday night reps as well,
getting the running back.
Speaker 3 (02:19:05):
Give it to him again right side, breaks it up
the middle and gets loose at It was not him,
I think it was somebody else out there. The fifty
on the carry.
Speaker 5 (02:19:15):
That was.
Speaker 3 (02:19:18):
Rising the ric in Toronto on the carry and they're
out near midfield.
Speaker 4 (02:19:26):
London knocking on the door of four hundred yards rushing
on the evening. If they if they would finish this
drive off on the ground, they would they would be
certainly close to that incredible.
Speaker 3 (02:19:38):
Mark London out over the football down to a minute twenty.
This time they do take a little more time to
run the play right straight ahead of the quarterback steak,
and they run it for eight or nine yards pushing ahead.
They just dominating the line of scrimmage no matter who's
(02:19:59):
in the.
Speaker 4 (02:19:59):
Balla really impressive offensive line that their ability to fire
off the ball and everything happens quick, very efficient, and
just not a lot of negative plays. As I said earlier,
if they avoid false starts and holds, it's going to
(02:20:20):
be very difficult for people to keep this team from
getting ten yards on three or four carries.
Speaker 3 (02:20:25):
Colt Hughes as a freshman, that's a quarterback now freshman
in QB spot. Now to thirty five seconds, this might
be the last play. They give it on a wing
back carry and breaking back to the outside on the
carry that might be hinting again, brought down down around
the thirty five yard line and that'll be a first down,
but hopefully it will be the last play of the game.
(02:20:49):
Only nineteen seconds London does not need to run another
play and They'll head to the sidelines and they'll let
it run down.
Speaker 1 (02:20:58):
That'll do it. Red Raiders go to two and zero.
Speaker 3 (02:21:01):
They come in dominate this one final score from Hernsteinfield
the Red Raiders forty two. Sell a Kathy nothing. We'll
be back and welcome back and give you a postgame
wrap up. You're listening to Cavs coverage on fourteen ninety WDEX.

This went up at Hernsteinfield, Greg Beghem and Shane Colms
forty two to nothing in London and coach bart thought
and you standing out until fifty as the players come
over for the Alma Mater with their band in the
home stands, and you know, I don't know. I haven't
talked to Borrow. I've talked to him a couple of times,
but I my feeling.
Speaker 1 (02:23:40):
I don't think. I don't think he expected.
Speaker 3 (02:23:43):
I'm not sure he expected, knowing that Bloom Carol London
was going to be a tough start, but I don't
think he expected to lose thirty eight to nothing to
forty two to nothing. I think he had some higher
hopes and there's a long way to go one to
nine last year and uh, but I think he's deeped
down's got to be a little disappointed. And I'm sure
they'll go back to work, but I think he's they
(02:24:05):
got to find something to get.
Speaker 1 (02:24:07):
This offense point.
Speaker 4 (02:24:09):
Well, I don't know if you'd agree with me or not,
but tonight felt different than last week. You know, I
walked away last week thinking that man Cheli Howthy competed
on eighty ninety percent of the snaps hurt by the
big play.
Speaker 1 (02:24:21):
I come to tonight. Maybe it's because it's two weeks
in a row.
Speaker 4 (02:24:25):
Maybe it's because three really really important calves go down
and you hope and pray that that's not going to
be long term.
Speaker 1 (02:24:33):
You know, maybe.
Speaker 4 (02:24:36):
Tonight felt different from the standpoint on every snap, it
just looked like a London can do whatever they wanted
to do. And I think that you walk away oh
and two's oh and two, you know, I mean, you
lose an overtime twice, you're own two.
Speaker 1 (02:24:47):
But it still just has a different feel to it.
Do you do you match my my on that? Absolutely?
Last week.
Speaker 3 (02:24:56):
Two punt returns in a long pass when your brand
new defensive back got mixed. Sure, and so you know,
as week one and Bloom was a very good team,
you hit the nail on the head. Tonight felt different
because London did whatever they wanted to do. That's what
felt different. Tonight almost you know, last week he said
a few big plays. Eighty five percent of the time
you played with bluem Carroll tonight, it was very little
(02:25:19):
that they were able to match with London. I don't
know how good London is, but they've been very good.
And I think the thing tonight is how London just
dominated the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 4 (02:25:29):
Well, now on the other side of things, because you're
only two weeks in to a ten week journey, I
think you still have to be able to figure out
some positives. I felt like there was some improvement and
areas of special teams. They found some things that I
think will work throughout the year as they get into
some matchups that they can compete in. You mentioned some
(02:25:50):
of the young kids coming in at running back and
tied in and making some plays offensively. That'll be something
to look to here in the weeks to come up,
especially if some of these kids are going to miss
some time as we go into the week three and four,
with what three straight road.
Speaker 3 (02:26:06):
Games now coming up for the Caps. Yep, but doubt
the twenty eight to nothing into half. London scored on
the second play of the second half on a forty
nine yard run by Parks make it thirty five to nothing,
and then scored on the next series driving down the
field and that was a It took over I believe
the chalk out the twenty six a one yard touchdown
(02:26:28):
run and it was forty two to nothing. And that's
how we ended the third quarter of the running clock,
and then we got through the fourth quarter of the
running clock no further scoring. Shane probably one. I don't
know what this. That's one bright spot. Carte Ligan freshman
started last week at the wing back position. Sean Smith,
your senior running back gets hurt in the first half,
(02:26:49):
Carte Ligan moves to the running back and he showed
we already knew he's a talented freshman, but he showed
some real promise tonight and he did a great job.
The first man. I don't think Harley ever took him
down tonight. Really hard, tough running in a talented player
that if he can get him gone and if he
can stand up as a freshman to the physical part
of it, that was a bright spot tonight for the Caps.
Speaker 1 (02:27:10):
Yeah, he touched about twelve to fifteen times.
Speaker 4 (02:27:12):
Now statistically, two or three of those were wiped out
by penalty, including of what would have been his first
career touchdown on a nine yard run. But it looks
like unofficially I've got him carying about thirteen times for
around fifty four yards. But you gotta think back there
in the first half, his first five six carries only
had him around you know, one or two yards because
of some of the negative carries, So you know you're right.
(02:27:34):
As the night went on, he showed all some of
his athleticism. Obviously, statistically we mentioned it at the half.
London as a team rushed at thirty two times for
two hundred and fifty.
Speaker 1 (02:27:44):
Five yards in the first half.
Speaker 4 (02:27:45):
In the second half they run at thirteen more times
for about one hundred and thirty two. It looks like
I'm going to have unofficially, So you add all that
up and you're right around unofficially that forty five carries
for three hundred and eighty seven yards on the ground,
And that's I guess that's what I was saying about.
It makes you feel a little different because you just
felt like, snap by snap, they were just kind of
(02:28:06):
six yards here, twelve yards here, or four yards here,
and it's just that's that's a heck of a way
to play defense on any night, especially at night.
Speaker 1 (02:28:15):
With the heat and that level of opponent.
Speaker 3 (02:28:19):
Well, the calves, they guess the work cut out and
is Shane mentioned I think one of the keys headed
to Western Brown, and you hope that three of your seniors,
Don Baron and Seohn Smith you're running back and Dom
tight end linebacker, and then Cole Crawford, your main defensive lineman,
all injured. They were all on crutches at the end
of the game, and we hope that maybe that is
(02:28:40):
a precaution. We just don't know, but you hope those
aren't long term injuries because those are three important seniors
and this team, as you know, all of a sudden,
we looked out there you had a freshman running back
and some defensive backs that were freshmen and sophomores and
the depth. So hopefully those guys at least hopefully the
injuries and hopefully want two serious and they can get
(02:29:01):
them back sooner than later for their season at Western
Brown next week and their first road game. We'll see
what happens, but hopefully the Caps can get some improvement
this week and get some guys well.
Speaker 4 (02:29:12):
Well, my final thought would be this when I when
I looked at the schedule from from day one, we
understood these two games up front. You understand there's some uh,
there's a Miami Tracers of Jackson. Towards the end, when
you looked in the middle of the schedule, you wondered, Okay,
if this team can stay healthy, and that's a question.
Speaker 1 (02:29:28):
Mark is we're coming out of here.
Speaker 4 (02:29:30):
What would the team look like week by week as
they get into some of these middle weeks. I'm really excited,
uh to see that the group stay together, make the
improvements necessary, and see what they can put on the
field next week at Western Brown.
Speaker 3 (02:29:43):
And you'd never know if Shane, you've been around kids
and coaching a long time, you know a couple of
big plays next week and you know the man it
can turn on for you. Thinks can the confidence can
start coming and you hope that happens next week, next
couple of weeks, think, especially on the offensive side, can
get something going well. That'll do from Hernstein Field. Thanks
to Nate toodle Back at the studios taking great care
(02:30:05):
of us again, and thanks to all of our sponsors
for allowing us to bring you Chilicothy Cavalier or Football well,
we got Bart here. Tell you what, I'm gonna let
Shane hand because Shane's got to go to the scoreboard
and Bart made all that effort to get up here.
So if you can, Nathan, we'll just keep recording and
we'll take care of Bart a few minutes and then
(02:30:26):
let him be out of here. Right now as we
wrap this one up from Hernstein Field, or puts the
headsets on and Shane will send you back to the
scoreboard show on our sister station ninety four to three WKKJ,
and tune into that and find out all the scores
and other coaches comments tonight. All right, real quick, I
won't keep very long. Thank you, Shane. As coach, Bartholomew
(02:30:49):
joins us and coach. First of all, I mean, first
of all, London was a very good football team, very
dominant upfront. They've been a running team for years. They
got a two and twenty pound right back back there,
and uh, they they're they're tough to defend it.
Speaker 1 (02:31:04):
As far as the running game.
Speaker 12 (02:31:05):
Well, I mean they're very good. I mean they've been
good for you know, three, four or five years something
like that. But you know, I thought in the first
quarter we played Uh, we played hard, played physical. We
were attacking the line of scrimmage, and then as the
game went on, whether we were just getting more down
or but we started catching and whenever you catch and
(02:31:26):
against a team like that, they're just going to run
over you and what you we got to start and
keep coming forward. And there were times that we didn't
play as physical as we needed to. You know, it's
a couple of young kids. It was a very physical game,
and early on I thought they did a nice job.
But then later on we started reaching and trying to
(02:31:46):
run around blocks and instead of running through blocks, and
and uh, you know there's some things that kind of
happened there in the second quarter.
Speaker 1 (02:31:55):
No doubt you could tell that as it went on.
Speaker 3 (02:31:58):
At the end, you had three seniors go down to
I don't know, you're not one to make excuses an
the other next guy steps up. But I thought, you know,
doms certainly a key challenge your running back. Uh.
Speaker 1 (02:32:10):
And then Cole.
Speaker 3 (02:32:10):
So there's a couple of senior defensive people that I
thought losing earlier.
Speaker 12 (02:32:14):
Anytime you lose a senior that they're the kids with
those not only do they have the mature physical body,
but they're the spirit or the guys that lead and
the guys that people the younger guys looked to. And
I thought, with you know, three of them going out,
I thought that, uh, it forced a couple of our
other guys to step up, a couple of our juniors,
and and I think that they did. But it's something
(02:32:36):
that's you know, it's like a couple of years ago
when Max went down. It's still uh, it's something that's
it's just not a natural thing. It's not just you
don't just learn it, you know, in a few seconds.
And but I thought our kids tried to do the
right thing. And uh, you know, I don't really know
what else to say. I guess yeah, you know, I
I talked to him about halftime about that. I really
(02:32:58):
I was most disappointed in in the second quarter. I
thought we played a really nice first quarter. We played
with emotion, we made make a couple of turnovers, made
had a couple big plays, and we started, you know,
we had chances and we didn't take advantage of them,
but we were we were in the game, and we
were playing in the game.
Speaker 1 (02:33:16):
And then after they.
Speaker 12 (02:33:17):
Scored a couple then we just started looking for answers
instead of still playing the game. And that's part of inexperience,
it's part of confidence. You know a lot of things
and there are things that you know we work on,
we keep working on. I thought we had a great
week of practice, you know, with the weather and the heat,
and we were in the gym, we were out of
the gym, and their focus was good and and everything,
(02:33:41):
And like I said, I felt like we started the
game really well, but we just didn't finish the game.
Speaker 3 (02:33:46):
You know, it was only it was I think just
a little over five minutes to half. It was fourteen
nothing and then they got they got two touchdowns in
the final minute three part of that second quarter that
that you're talking about one and a pick out guy.
Speaker 1 (02:33:58):
But I thought a bright spot.
Speaker 3 (02:33:59):
We talked a little bit here before you got up here,
but with Sean going down the carte who you talked
a little bit about a very talented freshman.
Speaker 1 (02:34:06):
But he is a freshman. But he came at a
running back. I was very impressed about how hard he ran.
Speaker 3 (02:34:11):
Now, the first guy never brought him down in and
again as a freshman, he took some beat, but he
he didn't back down. He I thought the first guy
never brought him down and he had some really nice runs.
Speaker 12 (02:34:22):
Carte is an exceptional athlete. He's going to be an
outstanding football player. He is an outstanding football player. But
watching him grow is going to be a lot of
fun for people, you know, if they haven't a chance
to get out here. He has instincts. I've been watching
him in junior high and then one thing. You know,
he's not only a great athlete, but he's a football player.
You know, some years we've had kids that were tracked,
kids that were really fast and really athletic, and they
(02:34:44):
had to try to learn to play the game. He
knows how to play the game, but he has all
those other attributes. So he is a nice backup. But
you kind of as a coach, you got to kind
of keep an eye on him. I mean, he is
a freshman. He's got a freshman body, you know physically.
You know, this game here was a tough game from granted,
and he did a great job. You're right, but you
know you worry about the physicality that will punish his
(02:35:08):
body and how much can he take and those kinds
of things.
Speaker 1 (02:35:11):
Absolutely no doubt about it.
Speaker 3 (02:35:13):
Well, Bart again next week the first row game and
hopefully maybe these couple of these guys that will be
able to get back for that are injured, but on
the road next week. And yeah, you know, you got
to feel like again again. You did score a touchdown
carte scoring, and you get called back for a penalty
(02:35:33):
of the one score you get. But mentally, I guess
this week how much this week mentally, as you've done
this a long time, part of a coaching job is
being a psychiatrist, I understand that much. And so but
you've got some of that work to do this week,
you know.
Speaker 12 (02:35:50):
And here's the thing. You know, it's not just we're
there's a tight knit group. And I told my wife
this week, and I told the kids this too. I said,
I've been very for to be around some really good
football teams over my career. This team doesn't prepare any
different than those teams, do They They're very professional in practice,
they come after you know that they don't believe in themselves.
(02:36:11):
And it doesn't help that we have students that you know,
I heard. I had one student today in the office
looked right after our resource officer and said, hey, we're
going to lose tonight. And then I just heard a
couple other kids walking around and say, you know, and
it's those are the things they have to battle. It's
not just trying to believe in themselves. But then you
have the kids at the school and I know that
we're not winning games right now, but you're not going
(02:36:33):
to You're not gonna get over that hump with with
negativity and bashing young kids for you know who they are.
And so those are things we're battling the whole time.
It's a culture thing. I think we're making the strides
right direction, but you know, how long can we you know,
say that we have to do that.
Speaker 3 (02:36:49):
You know, Yeah, sometimes a couple of good things happen
to you and things can change in our earth exactly.
Speaker 12 (02:36:54):
I mean, and you know, coaches, we were talking and
said we just need to we need and I thought
the punt snap over the head might be that. And
then we then we went backwards and you know, we
just we're not we're just not taking advantage of things
when we when we we have that opportunity, and those
are things that we still got to work on. And uh,
the kids are working hard and and we'll you know,
we'll get better and uh, you know, we'll hang in
(02:37:16):
there and and uh, you know, all these things that
I'm talking about, they're just all things you have to
deal with. And uh, we'll deal with them and move forward.
Speaker 1 (02:37:23):
All right, Bart you feel all you back off the
injured list or oh, I tell you what.
Speaker 12 (02:37:28):
I am black and blue from my from my lower
upper thigh, upper hamstring down below my leg and I
and my thumb.
Speaker 1 (02:37:37):
I think your thumb, I'm not sure. It's not. I
just I'm not going to the doctor. I just it's
it is what it is, you know.
Speaker 12 (02:37:44):
And uh uh this morning I walked out of the
shower and my wife she said, man, she said, you
really did hurt your leg, because she said she had
to take a picture of it because it's from my
top bottom of my buttocks all the way down below
my knee.
Speaker 1 (02:37:56):
It's just black. And uh but you know, time, I'm
all right, you know, we just it's just move on.
Speaker 3 (02:38:03):
But it takes you get older, It takes a little
longer to heal.
Speaker 1 (02:38:06):
Get older.
Speaker 12 (02:38:06):
You need to stand farther away from the play.
