SPEAKER_02 (00:00):
Well, it's good to
be in the house of the Lord
tonight.
And I hadn't heard that song inyears, but I I I remember as a
kid hearing that song hand inhand.
Hand in hand.
That's the way we're gonna makeit, isn't it?
Stay hand in hand with Jesus.
Not hand in hand with the worldor sin or any of those things.
I I was thinking that Sister Magwas singing that song I years
(00:22):
ago I read a story about a manthat was running out through a
field and he was chasingpleasure.
He was trying to catch up withpleasure.
And while he was chasingpleasure out in this field, he
saw a lonely stranger begin toapproach him.
Reached out his hand.
That man saw a nail print inthat hand.
(00:44):
And so he just reached out andtook hold of that stranger's
hand.
Of course, that was Jesus.
And the story said, as soon ashe put his hand in the hand of
Jesus, here come pleasure rightup on the other side and got his
hand.
Because the Bible said at theLord's right hand there is
pleasure evermore.
Not sinful pleasures, but truepleasure.
(01:07):
So when you get your hand inGod's hand, you'll have all the
pleasure and all the joy thatyou'd ever need in life.
Amen.
But it's all in Jesus tonight.
Amen.
We are so glad to be here.
Appreciate your giving tonight.
Appreciate the invitation tocome back again this year.
And uh we love the Cagley familyand all the folks here at Chapel
(01:27):
O Ridge.
And um we are just so glad toget to be here.
Been looking forward to therevival.
We uh closed out revival inOklahoma Friday night and uh got
home really, really late.
Well kind of it was in themorning hours, but uh so we got
a late start Saturday, but we'rejust seemed like it this it got
longer this time for somereason, but but uh we just we
(01:50):
finally made it.
We're just glad to be here.
Good to see each one of you anduh just appreciate the
accommodations made for us therein evangelist quarters, and uh
we always enjoyed coming here.
And um Brother Kegley had askedme about our van.
You know, we just uh we're justso thankful that God has blessed
us.
You know, it may quit us, it maynot start in the morning, I
(02:10):
don't know.
And I told my wife on the wayout here, I said, Well, if the
worst comes to worse, we'll justtake the government up on a cash
for clunker thing.
So anyway, but uh we are glad tobe here.
And God God takes care of us,doesn't it?
He takes care of us no matterwhat it is.
So many areas in life, God meetsthe need always, and so we
(02:32):
appreciate that.
And uh I'm gonna get my wife togo ahead and play, and uh glad
she's able to be with me.
And uh our kids got to come toour last revival because we're
only about an hour away.
And uh man, I just like to loadthem up and bring 'em, but they
gotta work.
Make car payment.
(02:54):
Anyway, let's get in and worshipthe Lord.
I appreciate what we feeltonight.
Amen.
I believe it's the will of God.
(05:26):
Anyway, forever more.
(06:04):
Somebody somebody healed.
He didn't have to take one nightand save somebody, and then the
next nine and heal somebody.
It'll be alright if he does itthat way.
But he can do it allsimultaneously, he can do it all
at once.
(06:25):
And I feel like tonight that weare we are needy people.
We have needs spiritually, wehave needs physically, and uh
you have petitions before theLord that you would like to see
God move and meet those needs.
And I really feel like that it'snot impossible for us to see
some of those things come topass.
Amen.
(06:46):
But tonight I want to preachfrom Isaiah chapter number two,
and if you want to go there anduh follow along, Isaiah chapter
number two, beginning in versenumber one, just a very uh
simple text here tonight.
Isaiah chapter number two andverse number one.
The word that Isaiah the son ofAmos saw concerning Judah and
(07:07):
Jerusalem, and it shall come topass in the last days that the
mountain of the Lord's houseshall be established in the top
of the mountain, and shall beexalted above the heel, and all
nations shall flow unto it, andmany people shall go and say,
(07:32):
Come ye, and let us go up to themountain of the Lord, to the
house of the God of Jacob.
Notice this, and he will teachus of his ways, and we will walk
in his path.
For out of Zion shall go forththe law, the word of the Lord,
from Jerusalem, and he shalljudge among the nations and
(07:56):
shall rebuke many people, andthey shall beat their swords
into plowshares, and theirspears into pruning hooks, and
nations shall not lift up swordagainst nation, and neither
shall they learn war anymore.
Now, what I want us to look athere tonight, this chapter
(08:17):
really is a prophetic chapter.
It's a chapter of prophecy, andI'm not really a prophecy
preacher, but what I try torelate to you tonight will be
simply what I've tried to studyand read for myself.
I won't tell you that it's beendivine revelation on my part,
but just simply studying andtrying to see what the prophet
was meaning here.
But notice here in verse numberthree, well, verse number two,
(08:41):
the writer said, It shall cometo pass in the last days that
the mountain of the Lord's houseshall be established in the top
of the mountains, and shall beexalted above the hills, and all
nations shall flow into it.
And then verse number threeactually is my text, this
phrase, many people shall go andsay, Come ye, and let us go up
(09:04):
to the mountain of the Lord, tothe house of the God of Jacob.
And I want to preach to ustonight the beginning of this
revival on a vital attraction.
A vital attraction.
Now, just for a few minutes,I'll I'll kind of lay a
(09:25):
foundation concerning thisprophecy.
Uh when you look at thisprophecy here in Isaiah, it is a
prophecy that is concerning thekingdom of the Messiah.
And notice that the prophettalked about the last day.
And listen, there is going to bea literal kingdom that's going
to be set up someday.
(09:45):
Jesus is actually literallygoing to reign.
The Bible talked about thesaints reigning with him.
There's going to be a literalkingdom.
In the time of the disciples, they felt like that it was going
to be at that particular time.
And if you remember, there weresome conversations that went on,
and some of the disciples, well, wasn't it um uh uh was it Mary
(10:07):
that asked Jesus uh who wasgoing to sit at his right hand?
And uh, you know, there was uhkind of a discourse or a uh
conversation that because theyreally felt like that that the
Roman Empire at that particulartime, which was really a tyrant
and had oppressed uh Israel, they felt that Jesus was going
to come and that he was there atthat particular time to just
(10:30):
overrule Rome and set up hisliteral kingdom then, but they
didn't understand that it wasn'tactually at that particular
time.
And so here in Isaiah, when hetalks about the kingdom of the
Messiah, he's talking about inthe in the last days.
Now, when this prophecy talksabout the last days, it was
pointing from that time when itwas written to a future event.
(10:51):
Could it be that we're in thatlast days?
It possibly could be.
Could it be that it's a littlefarther down the road?
It possibly could be.
But nevertheless, it doesn't doaway with the fact that there is
going to be a literal kingdomthat is going to be established.
Now, I want to talk about numberone, the establishment of it.
And notice here that the Biblereferred to the mountain of the
(11:15):
Lord's house, or he called itthis, the house of the God of
Jacob.
And so it is certain tonight, church, that the house of the
Lord literally is going to beestablished, namely at
Jerusalem.
All commentators and scholarsfeel like that the kingdom is
going to be literally set upthere, uh, right at Jerusalem,
and we know that Jerusalem is avery important place on God's uh
(11:38):
time clock and on God's map, andeverything is centered around
Jerusalem, but there's going tobe a literal kingdom that is
going to be established.
It's going to be the center ofall converted nations.
And the Bible said in thisprophecy that they're going to
flow to it or they're going toflock together.
Now, I want to say that rightnow, in this dispensation that
(12:00):
we're living in, thank God thatJesus has established the church
of the living God.
And I'm glad that I'm a part ofthat church.
If you're saved tonight andyou're redeemed, your sins are
washed away.
Amen.
And you you've accepted JesusChrist.
Amen.
It's your personal Lord andSavior.
Amen.
You're in the greatestinstitution that there is, and
(12:21):
that is the church of the livingGod.
Not just Capitol Ridge issingled out specifically on this
little ridge or this mountainand not iron post-free holiness
church where our home church isin Oklahoma.
But all the believers together, all of those that are
bloodbought and redeemed are apart, amen, of the church of the
living God, which isincorporated by Christ.
(12:42):
Amen.
And listen, I want you to knowthat this isn't the end of the
church.
Praise God.
Amen.
I don't know what's going tohappen in days to come.
I don't know what's going tohappen in this administration or
the next administration, butthis is not the end of the
church.
Praise God, the church is goingto be triumphant.
Everybody that is part of thechurch is going to be triumphant
(13:05):
and be victorious.
Thank God.
Amen.
But what we have yet to seeliterally, as far as a literal
kingdom, amen, we do seespiritually firmly fixed and
rooted and grounded in Christ.
Amen.
That spiritual church, the bodyof believers, amen, built upon a
rock and Jesus said.
Amen.
But he was that rock, and thegates of hell shall not prevail
(13:28):
against it.
So, you know, we gather togethertonight on this mountain, and
here we are, we're havingrevival.
And uh, we know the world isgoing on, and the decisions in
the government seem like aremaking decisions, our lawmakers
are making decisions that seemlike adversely are affecting the
church, but yet the church isgoing to be established.
Amen.
(13:49):
The Bible says, Amen, that inthe mountain of the Lord's
house, amen, shall beestablished in the top of the
mountain.
And so we gotta understand heretonight, amen, that there is
going to be a church and thatthere is going to be a kingdom.
Right?
You know, it seems like in ourlast few uh years or span of
time, uh, Brother Kegley, we'veseen other religions that seem
(14:11):
like uh they have surfaced andseem like they are they are
growing as far as members.
They're building mosques and anduh they're building places of
worship and and uh we're seeingother religions that are
growing.
But but but don't be afraidtonight because the church,
amen, is always going to beelevated above, amen.
Every other false religion thatthere is.
(14:34):
Come on now.
Now I know that statement therein some people's eyes that would
say that I was a bigot or thatthat I was uh that I was
preaching hate.
He man, I'm preaching the Bibletonight, and I'm preaching fact.
Amen.
That number one, the the churchof the living God, is going to
be established.
SPEAKER_01 (14:50):
Amen.
Jesus said it's going to bebuilt upon the fact, amen, that
he was the rock and the gates ofhealth shall not prevail against
it.
Amen.
SPEAKER_02 (14:59):
And so not only do
we see the establishment of it,
amen.
You mark it down, my friend.
God's church ain't goingnowhere.
Amen.
And not only that, amen, but itsaid it's gonna be built in the
top of the mountains, whichreally signifies to us that the
Church of the Living God isgoing to be elevated.
Amen.
SPEAKER_01 (15:16):
So now I'm gonna
talk about the elevation of it.
Amen.
It's now be established, amen,in the tops of the mountains,
and again the prophecy is nowrevealing.
Amen.
It's still talking about thatliteral temple.
Amen, built probably upon MountMoriah, amen built in a place to
be seen in a place, amen, thatcould be discerned.
(15:36):
And could we say tonight thatthe house of the Lord or the
church, amen, is settled andbuilt in a place, amen, that is
most glorious, amen.
Thank God the church tonight, amen, is advanced and exalted,
amen, above all other kingdoms, and thank God it is built upon
that rock.
SPEAKER_02 (15:55):
Amen.
There's a lot of other religionsthat are advancing, amen.
But the church is going to beelevated above all of that,
amen.
And even though we may see atime of persecution, amen, we
may feel that we are adverselyaffected.
Amen.
Living right here in America, amen, that was founded on godly
principles, amen.
But yet if the Lord tarries, wemay see some of those liberties
(16:18):
and privileges and freedoms, amen, that are hampered and
strained and even taken awayfrom us.
SPEAKER_01 (16:24):
Amen, but still, my
friend, amen, brother, when the
dust settles, amen, the churchis gonna be elevated above,
amen.
Every other lie, amen, everyother false, uh Christ and false
God, amen.
God's in my church, amen.
Number one's gonna beestablished, and then I'm gonna
elevate it.
Amen.
Did you know tonight that ifyou're part of the church of the
(16:47):
living God, amen, brother?
You're the apple of his eye.
Hallelujah.
Amen.
Amen.
Down on the bottom, but he'sgoing to elevate us.
Amen.
The church is going to beelevated, amen above all other
kingdoms, and above all otherfalse religions, amen.
The church tonight, amen.
(17:07):
Is that fortress?
Amen.
That is immovable.
Thank God tonight I'm sayingthat the church of the living
God, as gloomy and dark, asstormy as it gets, it's gonna
shine, amen, brighter andbrighter, amen, as the Lord
carries.
SPEAKER_02 (17:26):
So I want you to be
encouraged tonight, friend.
Amen.
Listen, you know, for years I'veheard about oppression, amen,
from the government.
And amen, we were raised up, youknow.
I don't know where I was.
We are always warned about theend of time, and I don't know
how you feel about it.
You cannot go wrong looking forthe coming of the Lord.
(17:47):
I understand that.
Amen, and I do look for him.
And the Bible said for us tolook up, amen.
For our redemption, draw a nigh.
Now come on now.
Amen.
But listen, I want to encouragethe church, amen, that even if,
amen, one by one they wiped usoff the face, amen, of the
American map, amen.
SPEAKER_01 (18:07):
The church of the
living God is still going to be
established.
Oh, hallelujah! Amen.
Look for how many centuries, amen, that they've tried to
annihilate, amen, Israel.
Amen.
But God's going to have, amen, achosen people.
And somehow you and I, amen, that are Gentiles, that has been
grafted into the family of God.
(18:29):
Amen, brother.
You stay saved and you stay apart of the church.
You're going to be established.
You're going to be elevated.
Amen.
God thinks so much, amen, abouthis people and his children.
Amen.
That he ain't going to let anyother religion.
Amen.
Be exalted.
Amen.
Above them forever.
It's going to be established.
(18:49):
And it's going to be elevated.
It's going to shine.
Hallelujah.
With a greater luster.
Amen.
Than any other religion thatthere is.
SPEAKER_02 (19:00):
And so the church,
my friend, is not going down and
it ain't going out.
It's going to be established.
Somebody say amen here tonight.
It's going to be established.
Amen.
Then he said it's going to bebuilt in the top of the
mountains.
Amen.
It's going to be elevated.
Amen.
Where folks can flow unto it,where it's going to be
discerned.
Amen.
(19:20):
Easily to be seen.
But really, what I want topreach to us tonight about,
amen, is what is found in versenumber three.
Amen.
When all the people said, Amen, come and let us go up to the
mountain of the Lord.
Amen, Brother Dave, there was anattraction there.
Oh, glory to God.
Amen.
There was an establishment.
(19:41):
Amen.
There was an elevation of thechurch.
Amen.
But listen, my friend, amen, there was an attraction there.
Amen.
Come and let us go up.
Amen to the mountain of theLord.
Now, now, in the last few days, amen, before coming out here, I
oh I got my last year'scalendar.
And I just kind of, you know, kind of skimmed over some of the
(20:02):
thoughts that I had while I washere last year and some of the
messages that was preached lastyear and some of the services,
amen, that we had last year.
Amen.
SPEAKER_01 (20:12):
And in my own mind,
Brother Kegley, I didn't want to
feel, amen, that I wasrepetitious.
Amen.
But I do say tonight, church, amen, that it is vital, amen,
that we be attracted, amen, tothe mountain of the Lord.
Oh, come on now.
Amen.
How many would say that thisworld isn't getting any better?
Come on now.
(20:32):
Amen.
And there are some things outthere, amen, that attracted us.
But because of their fatalattractions, amen, but what I'm
preaching tonight.
Amen.
About the house of the Lord thatcome and let us go up.
Amen.
In the time of the fulfilling ofthis prophecy, it's going to be
Gentiles and Jews alike.
Amen.
That are converted and they cometo Christ.
(20:57):
They're going to flow into it.
But I want to say right now, amen, in this revival.
Amen, my friend, if you're goingto have a revival, amen.
If you're going to have anold-fashioned Holy Ghost
revival, you got to be attractedto it.
You better have a desire for it.
Amen, brother, that can't driveyou up the mountain.
I can't poke and prod and beatyou up the mountain.
(21:19):
I can't sing in high.
Amen and preach in high.
But if you look out and see thehouse of God and see the things
of God, let there be a desire.
Let there be attraction thatsettles down over us until we
are attracted.
Amen to the things of God.
And in a mighty shout amen.
(21:39):
You gotta be attracted to this.
SPEAKER_02 (21:43):
When Brother Kegley
rescheduled us to come.
A few days ago when BrotherTeague was here.
And I don't know about otherrevivals you may have had
earlier in the year.
It's not all in just printing upsome flowers and say, oh boy,
we're gonna have a revival.
We're gonna turn on the lights.
(22:04):
We're gonna call in anevangelist.
We're gonna set aside a specialtime.
All of those are preliminarythings that we have to do so we
can kind of schedule.
Amen.
A revival where it would fit foreverybody and still it don't
fit.
Amen.
All the time for everybody.
Amen.
But listen, it's more toplanning.
Amen.
It's more than scheduling.
It's more than just callingsomeone in.
(22:26):
Amen.
Because listen, all of thosethings can happen, and yet us
not be attracted to the mountainof the Lord.
SPEAKER_01 (22:33):
And we will
absolutely get nowhere.
Amen.
In this meeting.
Come on now.
Amen.
But did anybody say that here?
Amen.
That they were saying, come.
Amen.
And let us go up.
Amen.
There's something in thatmountain.
Amen.
That I'm attracted to.
Can I say tonight, my friend?
That it is time.
(22:53):
And it is high time.
Amen.
That we pray back through untilwe are attracted to the things
of God.
Oh, glory to God.
Amen.
I say tonight.
Come and let us go up.
I say tonight.
Amen.
There's a higher.
Amen, cloud.
There's a harder place in God.
Amen, brother.
Amen.
(23:13):
It is the mountain of God.
How many would say tonight thatit is evidently beneficial?
Amen to this church.
And every preacher, every mom, dad, boy, and girl, they'll be
attracted.
Amen.
To the things of God.
SPEAKER_02 (23:31):
Glory to God.
I say tonight it's vital.
And we become attracted to thehouse of God.
You see, there are fatalattractions.
The Bible warns us about beingdrawn away of our own lust and
enticed.
(23:52):
And a lot of times when we thinkof that lust, we think of some
immoral lifestyle.
As far as a perversion.
Amen.
But there can be an attractionand a desire for things.
Amen.
That may not necessarily be sin,but they can become sin.
Oh, come on now.
Y'all gonna help me preach heretonight?
(24:12):
Oh, glory to God.
Amen.
I'm talking about those fatalattractions.
Amen.
That we continually have tocombat.
Amen.
And ward off and pray off.
Amen.
Be not drawn away of our ownlust.
Amen.
The Bible talked about that sin.
Amen.
Every man commits sin.
Amen.
SPEAKER_01 (24:30):
When he's drawn away
of his own lust and enticed.
Amen.
Jesus talked, amen, and warnedus against the world.
Amen.
Love not the world, neither thethings that are in the world.
And if any man love the world, what?
The love of the Father is not inhim.
Come on now.
Amen.
Amen.
The lust of the eye.
(24:51):
Amen.
The lust of the flesh and thepride of life.
Amen.
These are all things.
Amen that are fadable.
Come on now.
Amen.
But I'm talking tonight aboutsomething that is vital.
Amen.
That attraction.
Amen.
That joining.
Amen.
That longing.
Amen.
That yearning of that desire.
(25:11):
I'm going to go up into themountain of God.
Is there anybody in this housethat would like to go up into
the mountain of God?
Would you like to go up in thisrevival and go a little higher
in this meeting?
Hallelujah.
But listen, you gotta beattracted to it in your own
heart.
SPEAKER_02 (25:34):
You ever seen
anybody play matchmaker?
They try to put a boy and a girltogether.
Come on now.
It's like trying to stick themtwo magnets together.
They push away.
Come on now.
Amen.
Well, the same principle is whenyou got a preacher.
(25:56):
Amen trying to tell you how goodit is to have revival.
Or you got a pastor trying totell you how much you benefit by
moving up.
But you gotta be attracted toit.
Hey, man, there's gotta be achange in our heart, amen, until
we are attracted to the thingsof God.
Did you know tonight that allover this country there's
people, amen, that don't have acare in the world as far as
(26:18):
living for God or going to thehouse of God, amen, the
entertainment places will befilled, the parks will be
filled, the restaurants will befilled, amen.
SPEAKER_01 (26:27):
The mall is
populated tonight, but there's
no attraction, amen, for thehouse of God.
There's no attraction, amen, tothe things of God.
Amen.
Now, if you're here tonight, you're here, and we're thankful
that you are here.
Amen.
But listen, even after you gethere, there still has to be an
attraction and a desire.
Oh, glory to God.
(26:48):
How is somebody shout amen heretonight?
Amen.
The Bible said, Come and let usgo up.
And Brother Kegley, that is myprayer.
Amen.
The Chapel O'Reilly.
Amen.
Let's go up.
Amen.
Let's not miss it.
Let's not sit back.
Let's not draw back.
Amen.
Let's go up.
Where are we going?
Where are we going, preacher?
(27:09):
We're going to the mountain ofGod.
We're going to the house of theGod of Jacob.
We're going where the blessingis.
Where the revival is.
Where the power of God is.
Come and let us go up.
It's a vital attraction tonight.
SPEAKER_02 (27:25):
I think that it is
vital.
It is more vital than a lot ofthings that we deem necessary.
Come on now.
Some things, amen, that we want, some things that we have, some
things that we desire.
Amen.
Already not necessary.
(27:47):
But this is vital tonight.
That you be attracted to thehouse of God.
Now I'm not talking about justcoming here and having good
fellowship and socializing.
Amen.
Many of you are family, and it'sa very pleasant thing for a
family to be able to go tochurch at the same church.
That's a very pleasant thing.
(28:07):
Amen.
Because I've been in some placeswhere the family couldn't even,
hey man, have church together, much less Thanksgiving and
Christmas.
Come on now.
And so for many of you, it's apleasant thing, amen, to come
together.
And I'm not just talking aboutcoming to the house, amen,
physically and literally andsitting on pews and shaking
hands.
But when I talk about the houseof God, I'm talking about that
(28:29):
place that's way up on themountain.
Amen.
That place that is higher.
Amen.
With the things of God.
Amen.
Well, you may say tonight, amen, preacher, what advantage would
it be for me to go higher?
Amen.
I live holy.
Amen.
I dress the standard.
Amen.
I've been here for years.
Amen.
SPEAKER_01 (28:46):
I have a member
here.
I give in the offerings.
I visit the sick.
Amen.
What advantage would there be?
Amen.
Well, the Bible said, Amen, thatif you get up where God is,
amen, that he'll teach you hisways.
Amen, and you'll walk.
Amen and his paths.
Is there anybody in this housetonight?
Amen that desires.
(29:07):
Amen, the mountain of the Lord.
I said, Do you desire it?
Is it on your mind ever day?
When you get up and your feethit the ground, amen.
Are you attracted?
Amen.
Do you desire?
Amen.
Do you yearn?
I say the night come.
I say the night come.
Come and let us.
Amen.
Let us go up into the mountainof God.
(29:30):
Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_02 (29:33):
Glory to God.
You see, I'm not overlooking thefact that we have the cares of
life.
And the bird is a blind.
And the friction is a blind.
(29:56):
What is going on in our life?
It's hard for us to soar.
It's hard for us to rise.
It's hard for us to get above.
Amen.
This world and its problems.
Amen.
Our soul at times cannot risehigher because of the grievous
afflictions.
Amen.
That is going on in our life.
Amen.
(30:16):
Sorrow oftentimes has kept mefrom the summit.
Amen.
SPEAKER_01 (30:20):
Sometimes, amen.
Horrible conditions.
Amen.
Hinder.
Amen us from going to theheights.
Amen.
But here's what I want to tellyou tonight.
Amen.
We cannot allow the adversary, amen, to alter.
Amen.
Our attraction for the things ofGod.
Oh, glory to God.
Amen.
Sometimes the sorrow, amen, keeps us from the summit.
(30:43):
And sometimes the grievousafflictions weak down our
spirit.
And it's in that time that theenemy will say, It ain't worth
the journey.
It ain't worth ascending.
It ain't worth raising yourhands.
It ain't worth singing a song.
It ain't worth praying theprayer.
Oh, come on, my friend.
But I say tonight, Amen, let'sgo up.
(31:04):
Amen.
Let's go higher.
Amen.
Come and let us go up into themountain of God.
SPEAKER_02 (31:11):
Hallelujah.
Maybe tonight.
You're at a place right nowwhere you just don't feel like
going higher.
Well, we've all been there.
But I'm saying it's vital.
I said it is vital that youbecome attracted to this.
It is vital that you say, well,I've been around this all my
(31:32):
life.
Amen.
I know it like the back of myhand.
But are you attracted to it?
Are you doing it simply out ofreligious duty?
Come on, or is there a piouspassion there?
Amen.
That if you go one servicewithout ascending to the
mountain of God, that you missit.
Oh, come on now.
Amen.
And you long for it.
(31:53):
Oh, glory to God.
I'm telling you, the adversary, amen, would alter our
attraction.
Oh, glory to God.
Did you know that I have apreacher friend that really is a
good preacher, has a goodchurch, has a good strong
attendance in his church.
Amen.
He has a good, well-balancedcongregation.
He has elders.
He has teenagers.
He has young married.
(32:14):
I mean just a wealth ofpotential.
But he's also a builder.
And he's built a lot of homes.
I mean a lot of homes.
He's bought land and developedit and sold and built and all of
those things.
Brother Kegley, there was atime, amen, when problems came
into his church.
Amen.
Things began to happen in thechurch.
Amen.
People were affected.
(32:34):
Amen.
The attendants kind of slackedoff a little bit.
Amen.
There was a little bickering anda little trouble here and there.
And he said one night he wentoutside and he thought about
building.
And he thought about the housesand the land.
SPEAKER_01 (32:47):
And he thought it
seemed like that he'd really
been successful at that.
And so the devil came to him andsaid, Since your church is
having trouble, and people arehaving trouble, why don't you
let the church go to the backburner and you focus more on
building?
You focus more on developing.
Come on now.
Amen.
But here's what he said.
He said, All of a sudden, when Ilooked at that and he said, I
(33:10):
got my bearings.
Amen.
I realized that God had calledme to be a preacher.
Amen.
And not a builder.
And what the devil was wantingwas for him to alter his
attraction upon the things ofGod.
And anybody shout amen.
Hallelujah.
Of the glory to God.
I'm telling you, it's the thingsof God.
It's the house of God.
(33:31):
It's revival.
It's the Spirit of God.
That's where we're going.
We ain't going to the campaign.
We're going to the mountain ofGod's house.
We ain't going to the carnival.
We're going to the mountain ofGod's house.
Amen.
We gotta have a desire and anattraction.
I say, come and let us.
SPEAKER_02 (33:51):
You gonna go up
tonight?
I can't drag you up.
I can't poke and prod you.
I can't push you up.
Brother, when you get anattraction for it, we might not
get through the first song.
Hallelujah.
You get an attraction for it.
We might not know who's gonna bethe preacher.
(34:14):
You get an attraction for it.
You might not be here fiveminutes late, like I show up
sometimes.
My father-in-law the other nightsaid, This is the earliest I've
been late in a long time.
Glory to God.
Amen.
But when you get an attractionfor it, amen, there'll be a
desire.
Amen.
All day long.
The mountain of the house of theGod of Jacob.
(34:37):
The mountain of the house of theGod of Jacob.
That elevated place.
Amen.
Listen, church, that's what I'mpreaching tonight.
Amen.
That elevated place.
That's where we need to go withthis revival.
That's where you need to go inyour own life.
SPEAKER_01 (34:49):
That's where I need
to go in my own experience.
And I don't want the adversaryto alter.
Amen.
My attraction.
Amen.
That God's mountain.
It is vital that I'm attractedto the things of God.
Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_02 (35:04):
Now, Spurgeon one
time talked about an eagle.
He talked about an eagle thatwas chained to a rock.
Now listen.
It is in the nature of thateagle.
That he failed.
That he failed toward the sun.
(35:27):
It is in his very nature.
He's attracted to leaping off ofa person.
He's attracted to spreading hiswings out on nothing.
Amen.
He he yearns and desires andlong for that.
The Spurgeon said that once, hey, man, that it saw an eagle
that was chained to a rock.
Come on now.
(35:47):
Amen.
And he could see could tell.
The story said that in thateagle's heart, hey man, he was
attracted.
If I could just get off of thisrock and sail, if I could get
out into that nothingness, amen, and spread my wings and soar.
Oh, glory to God.
Amen.
Now the ostrich, he might not beso quick to jump off the bluff
(36:08):
and spread his wings.
Come on now, but the eagle.
Amen, brother, he was made tosoar.
But here's what Spurgeon saidabout that eagle that was
chained to that rock.
He said, unlike the eagle, hesaid, sometimes we get chained
to a rock, but we're in lovewith our chain.
Woo! Come on now.
(36:31):
We have a revival, we have anopportunity to soar.
We kind of love what's holdingus down.
Come on now.
Y'all here tonight?
We're in love with our chain.
God says you could soar if youcould cut loose from that.
God says you could fly high ifyou could cut loose from that.
(36:51):
Amen.
God says, Amen, that there's anelevated place for you if you
could cut loose from that.
Amen.
You know what I say tonight?
Amen.
SPEAKER_01 (36:59):
We need to divorce
ourselves from the things that
are binding us.
Amen.
And holding us down.
Can anybody shout amen?
Oh, glory to God.
Amen.
What has a greater attraction?
Amen.
The chain or the things of God.
What are you more attracted to?
What do you long and desire for?
Amen.
(37:19):
That chain, is it a thing of theworld?
Is it somebody in the world?
Is it something of the world?
I'm telling you tonight, myfriend, when God saves you,
amen.
You're a new creature.
And you're made to fly.
You're made to sell.
You're made to soar.
Not sit on a church pew andtwiddle your thumbs and revivals
(37:41):
of dread and the house of God.
Amen.
It's drive cracker juice.
Amen, brother, when you'reattracted.
Amen to the things of God.
There'll be a wheel within awheel.
There'll be something in yourheart.
It'll begin to turn and churnand yearn until you want to go
up.
SPEAKER_02 (37:59):
Woo! Hallelujah.
How many like to go up tonight?
Are you in love with your chain?
Is it a pleasure?
Is it a passion?
Is it worldliness?
Is it worldlikeness?
Is it a sin?
Amen.
That eagle.
He didn't love his chain.
But I've looked at some peopleand I could tell.
(38:20):
They had a fatal attractioninstead of a vital attraction.
Several years ago, sitting inour little church, several years
ago, we had a young man that wascalled a preach.
The anointing of God was on hislife.
His home was broken.
Things didn't look verypromising.
Amen, but nevertheless, the callof God was on his life.
(38:43):
His wife had left him.
It was a terrible, terriblesituation.
But then the same life throughseveral different events that
took place in his life.
I noticed when the attractionchanged, he used to sit right
over there on that little sidebench.
And before he got saved, he wasbig into rodeo.
Now this was just hisconviction.
He wouldn't wear his boots andhe wouldn't wear his jeans to
(39:05):
church and his belt bucklesbecause that reminded him of
something that was hisattraction before.
But when he began to call topreach, he just felt in his own
life, hey man, that he would laythose things down.
Now don't leave here tonight.
Brother Kevin said it's a sin towear boots.
And then what else?
That's not what I said.
Amen.
But for him, he laid thosethings down.
(39:26):
But then, hey, man, he got tofrequenting a little convenience
store, and his wife had lefthim, and uh he got to just uh
casually uh becoming friendlywith uh uh the girl there.
She was a nice lady, hey man,and those kinds of things, but
there was a relationship thatbegan to develop there out of
the will of God, amen, and allof a sudden the vital
attraction, amen, was altered, and there was a fatal attraction
(39:48):
that slipped in, amen, and tookhold of his life.
SPEAKER_01 (39:52):
Amen.
Listen, until today, he is far,far from God.
He had that marriage, amen.
It's now almost amen.
Been dissolved several times,amen.
There's drug problems, amen.
There's terrible things, there'sslurred speech, there's rotten
teeth.
Come on now.
Amen.
What are you saying, brother?
Amen.
I'm telling you when you haveamen, a fatal attraction that
(40:16):
overcomes this vital attraction.
Amen.
It's very damning.
It's very damaging.
Amen.
To your heart and your soul.
Amen.
All I'm saying tonight is come.
Amen.
Let's go up to the mountain ofGod.
Amen.
Loose yourself from that chain.
Loose yourself from that thing.
That's way to get down.
(40:37):
Let's go up.
It's the things of God.
It's revival.
It's the power of God.
Is anybody attracted to thehouse of God?
SPEAKER_02 (40:50):
I think of that old
song, higher and higher every
day.
Brighter and brighter grows theway.
Basking in his love of the oneabove.
I'm moving higher every day.
A lot of people are moving, butthey're moving in the wrong
(41:11):
direction.
Amen.
They're moving alright, butthey're sliding.
And they're slipping.
And they're falling.
And they're going back.
Oh, come on, church.
Amen.
I say tonight, amen, that it isvitally important in this
revival.
Amen.
That we become attracted.
Amen.
All nations were flowing to it.
Amen.
All nations were going to it.
(41:32):
Amen, brother.
They were yearning.
They were longing.
Amen.
To go up.
Amen to the mountain of God.
Hallelujah.
One story said that in thevalleys of Switzerland years
ago.
Many inhabitants were not goingto be a good one.
(42:26):
They were not diseased.
They didn't live.
Their appearance was energeticand vigorous and robust and
strong.
Because up on that alpinesummit, they breathed air that
was pure air and clean air, notstagnant, not tainted, and not
diseased.
Amen.
And here's what the man said.
(42:47):
He said, if those that dwelt inthe valley, amen, a stagnant
atmosphere and diseased air, could only make their way to the
top of that summit.
Amen.
And then say, I'll live here.
Come on now.
Amen.
That they would move out.
Amen.
Of that disease.
They would move out of thatstagnation.
Amen.
And they too would become, amen, elevated above.
(43:11):
Amen.
Those sickening elements.
Oh, glory to God.
It would bring them to health.
And you know what?
Tonight, church, in that reallyelementary illustration, amen.
I can tell you in my own lifethat when I moved out of the
valley and started moving up towhere God was, I got stronger.
SPEAKER_01 (43:29):
I come on now.
I got a praise back.
I got a shout back.
I got my song back.
And that's what I'm sayingtonight.
Amen.
Come.
Amen.
Come.
I wish tonight in your sleep.
It echo in your mind.
Let us go up.
I wish all day tomorrow.
You'd pray, let us go up.
Amen to the mountain of theLord.
(43:50):
And anybody shout amen.
SPEAKER_02 (43:53):
It is a vital,
vital, vital attraction in this
revival.
Revelation.
God spoke to John and said, Comeup here.
And I'll show you things.
We live in darkness sometimes.
We never go out.
(45:39):
He ain't never been nowhere.
I can tell him about places I'vebeen.
I can tell him about, you know, the St.
Louis Arch, and I can tell himabout the Royal Gorge in Canyon
City, Colorado.
I can tell him about the GrandCanyon.
I can tell him about heights andplaces we've been, the
mountains, I can tell him aboutgoing up on Johnson Park 14 or
20 miles up one road and finallybreak out into a meadow and a
(46:03):
little stream up there where youcan take a piece of cheese, put
it on a hook, and throw it outand catch a little trout.
I mean at the snap of yourfingers, I can tell him about
all that, and he'll just spit inhis old can and say, Yeah.
I believe I'll stay around herein Cherokee County.
SPEAKER_01 (46:18):
Sister Mag, there
ain't no attraction there.
Come on now.
I mean he goes to the mailboxand back.
Amen.
My cousin comes and picks him upfor work every day.
Amen.
And hey, that's all he'sattracted to.
Amen, brother, he don't care.
Amen.
He even wants me to bring himback a coon dog on this trip.
Amen.
But he wouldn't go get onehimself.
(46:39):
Amen.
He don't want to leave.
He don't want to go nowhere.
Amen.
He likes it right there.
Amen.
And stealing holler.
Oh, come on, that might be allright for living in this world.
But brother, when you're tryingto go to heaven, you've got to
have more desire than beingwhere you are.
You've got to have more of anattraction than living right
there.
That's sitting on a pew and donothing.
(47:00):
That's sing a few songs.
And pray a little prayer.
I say, let's go up.
I say let's go higher.
Amen.
Let's get a burning desire.
Amen.
To go somewhere with God.
Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_02 (47:12):
Let's stand all over
the building tonight.
God bless you.
Ecclesiastes 12 and 5 said this.
Amen.
Ecclesiastes said this.
Sister Teresa, come if youwould.
He said this.
Now here was a preacher talkingin Ecclesiastes chapter number
12.
And here's what he said.
He was describing how our bodiesage.
And they get very weak and theyget frail.
(47:36):
Here's what he said.
(48:23):
It didn't bother me.
But now this right here is justa little bit high.
Amen, but it says when you getolder.
It's harder.
They get high.
Come on now.
Hey, man, it's harder to walk onsmooth ground because you get
frail and you're weak and you'reaging.
You understand what I'm saying?
unknown (48:45):
Amen.
SPEAKER_02 (48:45):
And so then when we
go high, we start reaching for
something to hang on to.
Amen.
And he said that they wereafraid of that, which is high.
He's describing the agingprocess in the body.
But did you know we could applythat to our spiritual man?
When our spiritual experiencegets old and weak and frail,
I've wondered why some peopleact like they're afraid of the
Holy Ghost.
(49:06):
They act like they're afraid ofrevival.
They act like they're afraid toshout, Amen, and shine.
Amen.
They're afraid to worship God.
Amen.
Listen, when your spiritual mangets old and frail, amen, he
don't want to move up.
Amen.
Come on, he don't want to gohigher.
He's afraid of that which ismost high.
Amen.
But I say here tonight, Amen.
(49:26):
I want you to focus on thatverse number three.
Amen.
SPEAKER_01 (49:29):
When all the people
said, Amen, come and let us go
up.
Amen.
Come and let us go up.
Amen, brother Dave, you get highenough.
Amen.
And you'll influence somebodyelse.
Come and let's go up.
Amen, Brother Elmer, you gethigh enough, and I get high
enough.
Amen, sister, you get a goingup, you'll reach back and tell
somebody else.
Come on, let's go up.
Amen.
(49:50):
The young folk get to go and up,they'll grab the elders and say,
Let's go up.
Amen.
Let's go higher.
Amen.
But it's gotta be a vitalattraction in your heart.
SPEAKER_02 (50:00):
It is vital tonight
that we are attracted to this.
It's vital.
It's vital within ourrelationship and our marriage
that we continue to be attractedto one another.
It's vital in our attraction forthe things that we're doing.
(50:30):
You can need a horse for one ofthem.
Those animals are smell that ishigh.
Amen.
Those cows that hurry out on thecattle trail in the desert
(50:53):
desert with that nose in there.
What Job say through the sand ofwater, that tree that's been cut
down, praise God.
Amen.
But there's an attraction tothat.
That's all I'm preaching tonightin simplicity, really, on the
first night of this revival.
I'm believing the Lord to takeus higher.
I really am.
But you gotta want to go.
(51:14):
Come on now.
I said, You gotta want to gohigher.
Amen.
If you're saved, sanctified, andsatisfied, and you don't see a
need, amen.
Well, don't get in the way, allright?
Because we want to go higher.
There's some of us that want togo higher in God.
Let's gather in around the altartonight.
God bless you.
Hey man, come and let us go up.
In this revival, come and let usgo up to the mountain of God.
(51:37):
Come and let us go up.
Come and let us go up.
SPEAKER_00 (51:51):
Come on, let's go
up.
Are you attracted to it tonight?
SPEAKER_02 (51:59):
Are you attracted to
it?
Are you attracted to it?
Come on, you gotta be attractedto it.
SPEAKER_03 (52:11):
Lord, lift me up.
It's my desire, let me stay.
It's my desire, God.
My faith on hair touch the youngoaks, God, touch the elves.
SPEAKER_04 (52:26):
A higher place.
A higher place.
All it I plant my feet on higherhigher ground.
SPEAKER_02 (52:39):
Come on, young man,
go higher in God.
SPEAKER_03 (52:41):
I press the mountain
of God.
He'll every day pass.
I'm on words.
(53:08):
Come on, that's right.
Let's go up.
(53:53):
It's a higher place.
It's necessary.
SPEAKER_04 (54:09):
My heart has no
desire to stay.
Don't save the house of the way.
(55:35):
I want to live up on this one.
I don't live in the battery.
SPEAKER_00 (55:51):
I don't live an in
the family.
SPEAKER_04 (56:43):
I higher bed.
I want to scare.
(57:03):
And get the right.
(59:07):
I want to scale the most high.
And get the clean up verybright.
