“Los caminos que nos unen: cuentos colombianos desde la ciencia y la naturaleza”/”The threads that bind us” es una compilación de 11 audiocuentos escritos por autores (as) colombianos (as) inspirados en investigaciones científicas sobre la biodiversidad colombiana. Colombia is one of the world’s most biodiverse countries, home to unparalled wonders. In a unique partnership, GROW Colombia, Eden Project, the University of the Andes, and the Colombian Ministry of Science have joined forces to raise awareness of the relationship between climate change and biodiversity from a Colombian perspective. Eleven writers were selected to work with researchers at the cutting edge of science to create new fictions: a girl is transformed into sugarcane and dances with mycelium, a young man repels a plague of pests with the secrets passed down through the generations, a woman speaks to the soil, an AI billions of years into the future calculates the true cost of humanity’s impact on the planet. Together these stories use Colombia’s incredible biodiversity to reveal the threads that bind us to the living world.
