Just last night, just last night. You're back from Vegas
(01:28):
from the Real Coaches Summit.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, yes, nice, yes, yes time.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Did you have a good time.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah, it was a good time. But Vegas and Caesar Solid,
Caesar salad. Caesar's fucking Palace is intense, man, Like, that's
not my jam.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
It's very intense. That's where I stayed last time I
was in Vegas with Belski for Metallica concert.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
I mean, the fucking place is huge. It's easy to
get lost, There's people everywhere, it's loud. It's my worst nightmare. Yeah,
but I had a great time.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Production going on at Caesars when I was there last
couple of years ago. There was so much construction, so
it made it even worse.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
No, actually, gotcha, no, no construction. It was I mean
it was the Vegas time was amazing. It was just
Caesar's Palace is I'm just I don't know if I'm
too old, but it's just not my thing.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
I hear you. I mean Vegas is exhausting in.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Itself, so yeah, it's very, very overstimulating.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, all bright lights, all the sounds, all the people.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, you're all people out. I'm sure I am.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I was the conference itself. I know you met up
with like Team BFF.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah, it was awesome, it was good. I didn't I
listened to maybe three or four people and I just
mingled the whole time. Sure. That was like a fucking squirrel,
you know, no way. So yeah, well, good?
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Who did you see? Ah talk?
Speaker 1 (02:54):
I saw Doctor Crystal, she talked about GLP ones. I
saw Doctor Joey Muno and doctor Joey's Undell from Barbie Bulls.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Okay, nice few of our friends.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, they were all really really good.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Good what did what kind of standagans did you and
Team BF? Team b FF get it get up to?
Speaker 1 (03:15):
We went to the Oh Show, which was awesome. O
the uh okay, it's like a water one aqua pretty
fucking yeah, pretty Cray Cray. It was awesome though, I'm sure. Yeah.
We went to the Sugar Factory and had dinner, which
(03:35):
was basically a restaurant that had a candy store and
the decor was all candy.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Got it interesting?
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Mm hmmm, yeah, what else do we do? God? I
feel like we I got a tattoo, Actually I got
two tattoos.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
I saw that on your on your hands, on your
like knuckles.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Right, yeah, I'm cover. They're covered in Bandai right now
because I'm going to the beach. But they underneath, underneath,
they have that like clear fucking shit they use now
for tattoos where it just you leave it on for
like three days and it's basically healed when you take
it off.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
That's sweet. So right, I've done again.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
I got a heart and a lightning bolt on my
middle fingers.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
That's awesome. That's so cool.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Mm hmmm. So if I like you, you get the heart.
If I don't, you get the fucking lightning bulb. I
wanted to get these too. And it's so funny because
Peggy's like, I think I'm gonna go get a tattoo.
Do you want to go get one? And I was like, fuck, yeah,
why would I say no? So we went to I
(04:40):
guess it's Pink's. I don't know if it's our current
husband or ex husband, but his shop heart tattoo and
it was in the Caesar's Palace, so got it. We
didn't have to go far. Took twelve minutes to do
these two twelve minutes minutes, but the whole process obviously, like, yeah,
we were there when they opened, we had to wait
(05:01):
till twelve and then they had to the drawing it
and the place and yeah literally yeah, okay for both together.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yep, cool, cool.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Yeah. We did a couple of round table videos with
the coaches, which is fun.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
I saw that.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah, we had a lot of candy because Christy and
Patty brought us a bunch of candy and made candy bags. Okay,
we went to the pool. We got a cabana, so
we did that one day. What else do we do?
We got dessert, We went around like the strips, the
strip a little bit. Yeah, we were busy.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, busy bitches.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Huh, busy bitches. So we did this the seminar all
day for like the two days, and then at night
we would do like, you know, random stuff. So sure, sure,
Yeah we were there for four days. That's a long time, dude. Yeah,
especially if the time change focks you up, it really
fucks with me. That's three hour difference is been.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, it is, especially coming home, I think.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, yeah, actually feel better now than I did when
I got there. Oh really so far at least, I
like I went to bed at my normal time and
got up in my normal time, which was nice.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah yeah, because your normal time that's pretty early for Vegas.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
So like, yeah, that would be like six o'clock.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah, you get so you get nice that uh some
alone time to yourself, I'm sure or yeah, go ahead
to Jim. I think I saw you. You guys worked out
together at least one day we did.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Yeah, oh yeah, we worked out together one time. A
few things happened, like there was some like Brooke got
locked out of her room and she had to sleep.
She had to like she was downstairs till like five
in the morning. That's a whole story. Coach Kelly got
the neuro virus, so she missed the whole entire day
on Tuesday. Poor thing. I know, She's like she was
(06:53):
stuck in her fucking room all day.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Yeah, was she was she there by herself? Was she
rooming with Yeah?
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Gotcha? Gotcha. Renee had a situation where there was like
a party going on. It was so fucking loud. She
ended up having to switch her room. They had to
switcher room, or she made them switch her room for
and then like the day that we were leaving, like
apparently the water there was a water issue and the
water was turned off, and so she couldn't brush her
(07:23):
teeth or take a shower before she left for the airport.
I mean, yes, right, so she's like, I went to
the the vending machine, got some ice, so I get
a little bit of water for my fucking teeth. Oh
my god, poor thing.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah. I think I've been in a situation, not quite
like that, but where I wasn't able to brush my
teeth and do the bears essentials before we're leaving. I
remember I went to like a gift shop and just
got one of those things to toothpaste and use.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
My finger toothbrush. Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Well good, sounds like it was a good trip.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yeah, it was good. Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
But I've got a let's see, I'm only about a
week away from my half marathon that have been training for.
Oh wow, yeah that's the twenty seventh, so ten ten
days from today.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Damn. Excited, very excited.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Nice, I've got some numbers in my head. I think
I'm dialed in, so I'm ready to crush it. I
think I know, yeah, I know you are. Yeah. Sure,
it's a mental thing now, is yeah. Just sustaining that
pace for thirteen miles m hm, right, yeah, I sustained
the pace for on my long run last weekend, fourteen
mile long run. My goal was to for it to
(08:45):
be progressive, so the second half of the long run
is gonna be faster than the first and my goal
with that was for the last seven miles to be
at my half marathon pace. And I crushed that and
then some. So I'm feeling really good.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
I'm thinking I'm gonna I'm ahead put this out there.
My goal time is a one fifty seven five nice,
So that's and if I can, I'm gonna have a
stretch beyond that. But I'll if I hit anywhere in there,
I'll be really really happy because I brought it, you know.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yeah, yeah, I brought it.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Fucking brought it, and I'm bringing it, that's for sure.
The hard part now is just I'm tapering, so just
taking it easy and letting my body recover, right, do less.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, which is hard, but it is hard, hot, but yeah,
I did it.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
My my after my the last long run, my right
knee had a little bit of a renter knee going
so I on on on Monday, I was feeling that,
so yeah, definitely good for time for a taper and
let my body heel up for these next Yeah, for
two weeks really with the taper.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
So yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
But while my knee did hurt on Monday, just a
little general soreness that didn't stop me from like doing
anything on Monday, you know, still went to the gym
and worked out and run.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
It was like, I'm injured.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
What's that you mean?
Speaker 1 (10:12):
You didn't sit there and was like, I'm sorry, it hurt,
like you can't do anything.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
So I went to the gym and I did I
think fifteen minutes or something, just light movement on a
stationary bike. Yeah, just and that got my the blood
pumping and the blood flowing right and by the end
of my workout, I also did a upper body workout
after that, yep, and he was feeling great. So then
I ran again on Tuesday, just ran again. Today. I
did four miles today. I'm gonna do one run this
(10:41):
weekend and then I'll pretty much be ready.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
All right, yeah, go a neuralago go.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
And Nerd'll go. Ready to crush it. This is the
same I think I mentioned. This is the same race
that I that I did my first race with last year.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
So yeah, really.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Excited to do this now that I've got a full
year of training under my belt. Right crastly the longest
I've ever traded for you know, my running and stuff.
So ready to do it.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
That's right, let's go.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
I know for sure. Like I posted a comparison on
my Instagram story this morning, it was like my final
long run last year, because last year I just kind
of signed up for the half marathon on a whim,
like with or three or four months to go or
weeks to go. So I did a test, a ten
mile test run, and my pace of for that was
like ten minutes and forty five seconds. And my last
(11:33):
my fourteen mile long run, my last run of the
the the training block, my pace was nine to fifteen right,
So just in a year, that's how much improvement there's been,
which is really cool because I haven't done anything crazy.
It's been really consistent with running running, you know, yeah,
for the most part, other than when I was injured
and that's the thing too, is there's been times when
(11:54):
I haven't been able to run because of injuries. Are
live too, So.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Consistency, Yeah, consistency for.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
The most part, mentality so important. Yeah, we're teaching that
a lot right now in our challenge. We're two weeks
into our challenge now, so now we're just kind of
like into the stage of the stages of change right now,
we're into taking action stage. So it's like, now we're
learning how to pivot and adapt that for the most part, mentality,
something is better than nothing, things like that. So yeah, Yeah,
(12:26):
the Crush Up Fun Challenge so far nice.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah, all right, all.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Right, So there was a couple of things I think
that you had on your mind that we just kind
of like carry over from last week's talk, I think, yeah,
I think so, huh yeah, So what was the idea?
Something about like takeout, right.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, so I talked about, like, yeah last week about
how you know, we have people on our team that
struggle with takeout or just people in general, they really
eat out too much. And I'm talking you get uber eats.
I'm not talking like you go out to a fancy
dinner with your husband all the time. I'm talking about,
like you don't make any fucking meals at home? Okay,
(13:08):
you literally depend on takeout that is ruining your progress,
your fat law schools and me and a few of
the coaches we did look a little round table at
in Vegas while we were sitting at Starbucks because we
were away, and I asked all the coaches how many
times a week do you get takeout uber eats or
(13:29):
do you not make your meals at home? And most
of them said, you know, they don't, they don't go out.
And Iris said something about one or two times, maybe
a month or something like that. And people were like,
you're lying. You're in Starbucks right now. There's no way
all this, you know, it just the negative shit. It's
you know what I mean, Just I'll look at you
(13:50):
guys in Starbucks. It's uh, yeah, we're drinking fucking black coffee.
You fucking more on I have a protein shake? Do
you know what I'm saying? Like this is stuff that
people struggle with, and we're being real about it. Like
if you want to be fit and healthy and look
like somebody that you think that you want to look
like because you're comparing and you think you need to
be there. Then this is the lifestyle that we live,
(14:14):
you know what I mean. It's like, I don't live
off takeout. I in fact, really would rather make my
meals at home to me, I feel better, they taste better.
I'm not spending a shit ton of money. I'm not,
you know, over consuming a bunch of oils and shit.
And you know, I'm not saying that you should never
eat out. That's not That's not what I'm saying. But
(14:35):
if you're literally living your life off uber eats, you
need to fucking check yourself, you really.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Do, you know, especially because that's that's like the ultimate
convenience is overeats.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, it's like, you know, you can't if you have
You can't want something and desire something without changing things.
The goal of the actions have to match your goals.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Nothing changes if nothing changes, right.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
You know. And if you eat out all the time,
and you know, people are like, well you can lose weight,
need healthy, I've done it, or go out to eat
all the time and lose It's like, yeah, absolutely, you know,
but I'm not. If someone's coming to me and they're
they're one hundred pounds overweight and they are eating out
all week. Do you think I'm going to try to
teach them how to make macro friendly meals out? No,
(15:20):
I'm going to teach them how to make meals at home, okay,
because the thing that they need to do is to
get the fuck away from all the takeout first. Do
you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 3 (15:30):
I agree entirely. It's the old the old adage, right
is teach a man to fish, or give a manda fish, right,
and see which one is more successful. Right.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
It's like I can navigate eating out more because I
know what to do. I know what to order, you know,
And that's the difference. That's a that's a huge difference.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Yeah, knowing how to use take out to your advantage,
to work to make it work for you and your
health goals because and I get it too, Like to
the person that said, like, oh, you can eat take out,
of course, we know you can. You take out every day.
We know, Like it's ultimately if you contain your your
energy balance calories and versus glories out and you talk
about fast food, we know that you're going to lose weight.
(16:15):
But it's also, like we talked about all the time,
it's not just about losing weight. It's about feeling good,
being healthy, and you know, eating eating out all the
time is not healthy. And I was there once too,
you know, when I first early in my journey, when
I was working in corporate, I was single. I just
(16:35):
had my son at home, you know, every other weekend
at the time and everything, and I didn't have anybody
to cook for, anybody to care for other than myself.
So I just literally all my meals were take out,
almost a meal prepped my dinners, but like all my lunches,
I should say, all my lunches were out. I would
either eat Chipotle or this other place that was like
(16:55):
a Pan American pan am Asian pan Asian type crill
more nutritious choices for sure, but I was still eating
out every day. Yeah, you know, but at this point
in my life, that's not what I want or need
for myself for sure.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
And yeah, you.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Can't I kind of afford to do that anymore anyway,
cause that's that would be really expensive now, right, That's
the big thing, is like how expensive it is.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah, And I don't think people realize how better they
would feel if you didn't need take out so much. Yeah,
just me being in Las Vegas for four days and
we were supplied the meals which were really fucking decent,
more decent than it was I was to order from
anywhere for that matter, right, Yeah, and I still felt
like crap, you know, bad digestion that. I mean, I'm
(17:41):
sure that has to do with a lot of travel
and stuff, but there was a lot of oils in
the thing, you know. And I would have just rather
have made my own fucking food because I feel better.
But and people they do that all the time, and
I just if you actually took a week and major
meals at home, see how you feel. It's it's you're
missing out a lot of antioxidants, micronutrients, you know, things
(18:03):
like that. It's not just about the calories, you know,
you got to think about that.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Absolutely, It's beyond it's beyond the calories. Yeah, you talk
about like the foundational stuff for sure. It's about calories
and calories out for for your goal of fat loss,
weight loss, and fiber you know, yeah, exactly if you
because that's the thing if and that's big the big
part of the problem, right why Americans don't eat enough
fiber is just like we were talking about last week
with the amount of people that eat out fast food
(18:30):
and stuff every week when you can't. When you're eating out,
that food is usually more processed, more right, like it's
it's of its fiber. Yes, So that's part of the
reason why we're not getting enough fiber in this country,
and that's a big fucking problem for our for our health,
for our gut health, like you said, for our digestive healthy,
for satiety is as well.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yeah, exactly. So you go to Chick fil A. Let's say, oh,
I'm gonna get a fucking one of those fried chicken
and a this thing and a small fry. Okay, yeah,
you stick in your calorie fucking deficit. That's amazing. Great,
that's you could do that once in a while. But
you're doing this shit every day. So where's the fiber
in there? You know what I'm saying. It's like, that's
(19:12):
what we need to think of.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Yeah, so I think I think I agree with it entirely.
I think it's people need to examine how often they're
doing these things, but then they also need to learn
how to make these things work for themselves too, such
as going to like a Chick fil a, Right, because
that's something to you and I do when we're together.
We we love going to.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Chick fil A, But I wouldn't normally. I wouldn't normally
do that, y for sure, like all the time.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
Swaps that we make, right. So it's all about if
you're gonna do these things. If you're yeah, you have
to go out to eat, let's find out how we
can make more nutritious and make get the swaps right.
So instead of the the fried chicken, you get a
grilled chicken, the grill nug The grilled nug gets a
Chick fil a top notch, like so exactly broken bomb.
You get a a side of fruit. Right. I like
(19:56):
to do that with if I'm traveling on the go
at the airport, go hit a Chick fil A, get
a black coffee. I'll get a chicken sandwich and a
cup of fruit for breakfast, you know, for lunches, it's
like we do the chicken sandwich or something and then
add the kale salad, right which you I think you
just posted a mimic recipe for. Yeah, so I'm making
a work for you too, Yeah, making better choices when
(20:18):
you do have to do these things, Because I think
why I say, like people need to learn how to
make these things work for themselves too. Is because the
reality is a lot of people are in their car
a lot for work, you know. I'm thinking of like
I met with my one client, Lauri yesterday. She lives
in she's like a federal worker in the DC, and
(20:40):
two hour commute to get into the office for her
one way, right, So that's for hours probably she does
a day. So we were literally just having this conversation
yesterday about how she can make it work for her
being on the road so much by having more choices
in her car. So we talked about implementing a protein
shake for those situations as well as something like bead.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
I'd try to bring a curl, I bring a cooler
every day.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Yeah, that's not that's that's an option too, for sure.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
That's absolutely an option.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
That's what I would do.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Yeah, personally, Yeah, I mean that's yeah, that that is
an option for sure. I'm not doing it. I live
my life on the road. I'm not fucking taking a
cooler with me. You know, I'm already lugging I'm already
lugging a book bag around with me full of my
my workout gear and a separate bag with all my
my laptop and everything, you know.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
So yeah, many many little mini cooler.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Yeah, you don't have to.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
You don't have to lug it. You just leave in
the car and you fucking eat it when you need to.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
No, I hear you.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Yeah, that's not I'm just saying that, like I do,
and you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Definitely, like I'll take a lunch a lunch pail, like
with my yoga and stuff with me for sure.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah, so yep.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
No, there's always options. There's always options. So how are
some other ways that people can make their take out
a little bit better for themselves?
Speaker 1 (21:56):
Nerdle get dressings on the side, get things grilled. Mm hmmm,
I don't know. I really would I would rather. I
would rather. I would rather help people try to make
meals at home than try to have them figure out
how to order out.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
You have to be.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Real, but we have to they have to be real
with themselves too, do you know what I'm saying? Like, No,
you you don't have to eat out every single fucking day.
I don't believe you do. I believe that you can
take the fucking time for yourself and make some meals
and take them with you, I believe that you'd have
much better success overall. You know, yeah, it's hard, but
(22:43):
it's also hard to try to fucking have this you know,
constant ship in your brain of what you need to
order at these restaurants reduce the decision fatigue is I'm
really big on but I'm I'm also with you in
the fact that, yeah, of course there's a time and
a place where people, you know, they need to learn
how to order out, but they also need to learn
how to fucking make their own food at home, which
(23:04):
does not have to take hours. You know, like you
like you're talking about like the yogurt. Yeah, like that's perfect.
Take that, you know, grab a bunch of single serving yogurts.
You can cut up a bunch of fruit, you know,
Cheese sticks, Yeah, sandwiches. Sandwiches are pretty you know, throw
those in a fucking paper bag. You know what I'm saying, right,
(23:25):
paper bag lunch sandwiches, banana and some water. You know
what I'm saying. It's it. We don't have to overcomplicate
this shit.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Right, because then what's happening right is they're saving themselves
from the alternative, which is they're going to be going
for similar versions of those foods, but they're going to
be going to get them from convenience stores fast food restaurants,
so it's gonna be as nutritious, it's going to be
more expensive and things like that, Right, So I agree
with everything there that the sandwiches. We we've done that ourselves,
right when we're traveling road trips and things like that,
(23:53):
we just do some sandwiches in the back. Yeah, load
up on oranges, bananas, apples, apples. Yep, that's usually what
I have to end up doing, especially on the days
like when my son has a baseball game an hour
and a half away.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Yeah, that's far.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Yeah, it's really hard for sure.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Cool, Yeah, I agree. We had a lot of good
feedback on the episode last week talking about fast food
and everything like that.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
I mean what you're saying is absolutely it's right on,
it's right on point.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Yeah. And here's here's me not trying to be an asshole,
but I really need people to take a fucking look
at what they're doing. And it's called awareness because if
you're coming to coaching and you eat out out and
you have a lot of way to lose and you're
eating out every day. That is one of the reasons. Yeah,
do you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, that is
probably the one driver that you need to fix. And
(24:48):
a lot of people they don't. They're they're way too busy.
They slam themselves with shit to do that they don't
prioritize making their meals. That is a that to me
as a priority, It's a fucking priority. Do you want
to be a healthier person, a fit and healthy person,
you need to learn how to make your own meals
(25:09):
at home? You really fucking do. You're an adult. I'm sorry,
but like my son is starting to cook now he's
thirteen years old. I don't want to send him off
to live his life not knowing how to cook. Come on,
you know what I'm saying. I just I don't get it.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
I've been challenging myself personally. I think I mentioned it
last week on the podcast, challenging myself to make more
meals at home and cook more meals at home, or
being more prepared for my road trips and things like that,
because I'm that's what the reality is. So much driving
I do every day, and I definitely am feeling better
because I've been doing that for about a month now,
which you know, yeah, preparing myself with at the grocery
(25:48):
store with more convenience food that I can just bring
with me instead of going to the takeout to get
it and things like that.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
So yeah, no, is it hard? Yes? Is hard? Is
it a pain in the ass? Like you're look, I
don't want to lug my falking cooler with me, But
listen to what you just said, right, I don't want
to like this and all like that to me. Up,
I hear excuse, excuse, excuse. You know I'm gonna call
you out, Matt.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
There's no excuse making a work.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Can you can take us with you? Yeah you do, Yeah,
you cash it, but you could just say it. I
don't want to do that and that'd be cool.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying, like like, I don't
want to. I don't want to do that. Okay, great,
you don't have to. Yeah, do you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 3 (26:28):
For sure? No? I agree. It is an excuse. It
is one of excuse. You can either do it or not.
That is an option.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
You can fuck you don't want to.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Do it, just be honest. A while while you're not
doing I don't.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Want to do that.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Okay, Okay, I don't want I don't want to do that.
I'm not taking a cooler with me respect.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
But then I don't want to hear you fucking bitching
about you not making any making your goals. But you
wouldn't do that because you already know what to do
and you navigate around that. But I'm just saying, like,
if it was someone else, right, you.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Know, I agree, I hear you absolutely so if you're
going to make excuses and I don't want to hear
the complaints like, I agree, that's that's yeah, I'm on
board with you there, dude. Yeah, just because I shot
down the cooler for myself, I mean, maybe somebody else's
listeners like, Wow, that's a really good fucking idea. I hope.
I hope it is. Because my client literally jokes, She's like,
well I don't have a fridge the in the car,
(27:13):
you know, and it's like, well, we do. We could
do coolers, right.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Oh man. They have so many things now that you
can put in your car. I think you can even
like plug seriously, and it doesn't have to be like
an extravagant ordeal like they have those little mini igloo coolers.
It could be one of these and throw a bunch
of shit in there.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Yeah, I mean soccer moms have coolers in the back
of their cars full of drinks and stuff waters. Yeah,
you know, I get that, Like that's something I try
to do in the summertime as at least have drinks
in the in the car. So yeah, yeah, totally preparation
always mm hmmm. And and that's the thing, like you,
(27:55):
like you just called out like how that's an excuse.
So that's we need to be, like you said, we
need to be honest with ourselves and and and acknowledge
like there's nothing wrong with saying like, holy shit, that
is I am making an excuse because we if we
if we just deny about how we're making an excuse
or not, that's who is that serving? What is that serving? Right?
Speaker 1 (28:13):
That's not going to.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
Help you move forward? Yep, it's that radical honesty exactly exactly. Yeah,
So what else is new in Florida? You're looking forward
to getting home?
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Yes, my mother in law is currently here, should here
when I got back. She's leaving tomorrow, I think, Yeah,
I am sad to leave the sun in the beach.
But I'm going to be excited to get home.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
Yeah. Well, is the weather turning in Maine? Up there
in Maine yet.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
It's getting better?
Speaker 3 (28:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Yeah, cool, a little bit better. How's the weather there
in Ohio Land?
Speaker 3 (28:56):
I may, I'm antsy, I'm ready to get outside because
it's really beautiful. It's gonna beautiful this weekend.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
I think nice. I could see that it looks sunny
in the background.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Yeah, it's still cold in the morning, but I think
it's gonna get up to like seventy today or yeah, nice,
Oh yeah, perfect. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
I got my bathing.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Yesterday for the first time. Oh this year.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
That's a sign.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Just last week it was snowing.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
So right, that's a good sign.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
It is, it is. And it was already super long
because I didn't I didn't get one final moment at
the end of the year, so I had to I
had to pay the price with a nice extra long
long I'm gonna let it go any longer.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
So got it?
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yeah, got it? Yep. I wanted to talk about Cure
Nutrition as well. They're doing a promo this weekend, actually
just this weekend for for Easter. Actually, did you the
the promos. Did you hear about this?
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Will?
Speaker 3 (29:58):
We'll literally just email us about it a little bit.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
So no, I haven't this. This is new to me, guys.
So Matt's filling me and I'm on the promo we're doing.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Yeah, absolutely, it's it's an observance of Easter this weekend.
So what they're doing is starting Saturday, April nineteenth and
running through Tuesday, April twenty second. They're running a promo
which is crazy. It's a best seller bundle or their
Harmony Bundle is thirty percent off plus with our code
of CTC, they can stack that and get an additional
(30:28):
twenty percent off at checkout for those two bundles.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
The Harmony Bundle, which is like our favorite, I would
have to say, is the Serenity Gummies and the flow
Gummies that's bundled together. So if you want to, if
you're interested in that, you've been hearing this talk about
flow Gummies, it's like thirty percent off regular price plus
twenty percent off with our code, which is yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
And then their best seller bundle is for deep sleep
and less stress. It's the Serenity Gummies and the Nightcaps.
All right, Yeah, I've been thinking about starting taking the
nightcaps actually too. Yeah, I've been waking up feeling a
little bit more anxious in the mornings, and I've been
really trying to dial into my morning routines. So just
(31:16):
something I'm thinking about adding into my argenal. I'm just
doing some other things first, just being more intentional with
my my movement and my mindfulness in the morning, getting yeah,
getting some fresh air first thing in the morning.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
So you're more anxious when you wake up, mm hmmm,
you're more anxious when you wake up?
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Yeah, sometimes sometimes, Yeah, it's nothing bad, it's just I
just you know, that's when my anxiety tends to be
for some reason, when when When When When I am
feeling the anxious, it is in the morning. So yeah,
So that's I've been working on and I've been seeing
great results by just being more intentional with my night
(31:53):
The biggest thing is my being more intentional with my
nighttime routine. Actually something to care myself at nighttime, getting
on time, getting more regular times sleep, and things like
that quality of sleep, which is why I was thinking
about adding the night caps into my routine to help
with sleep.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
So have you been taking any of the serenity gummies
occasionally occasionally.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
But here's the thing, Like, once I start moving throughout
my day, and that's the biggest thing for me to
help with, like just to anxiety and then things like that,
just movement. Yeah, so I've been just finding like I
just moved earlier in the day, a couple hours earlier
in the day. Is I've kind of shifted it. And
that's that's really been working wonderfully.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
So oh good. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Move I mean movement is like we know, super helpful,
helpful for them.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yeah, yep, for sure, for sure.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
So that's running through this weekend again. It's Saturday four
nineteen through Tuesday for twenty two with our code CTC
nice I com slash CTC pretty dope, Pretty dope. We've
been I've been getting a lot of questions in my
d ms and from like some of our clients about
(33:06):
flow be you live in talking about it.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
On the podcast. Yeah, yeah, on.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
My stories about how I feel like it's been helping
me with my running and things like that. Yeah. I
think we've got some samples. I know you're gonna have
some samples waiting at home for you. Yeah, So I
think we should do a little giveaway or something.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
I'm not sure what we could do, but sometimes we'll
give away for some samples. That'd be fun, yeah for sure.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Yeah yeah, but then we have to mail them out.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Yeah totally. Yeah, it'll be easy, psy, I got it.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
I gotta don't worry, speak for yourself. I gotta easy piece.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
I gotta. I got a drop UPS store literally around
the block.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Oh nice. Yeah, yeah, I'm like.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
I live in nowhere, Ohio. But at least in my like,
at least there's fifth there's like ten thousand people in
this town.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
So yeah, it's got ship.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
You know, we have and stuff.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
So yeah, I mean I have one art but you
p ups. I think they closed down the UPS store,
so I have to go to Staples, got it, got it?
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Yeah, we no longer have Staples. Our Staples is like
some farm equipment shopper now or something like cheese. So yeah,
rural Ohio, Yeah, rural America. It's not just a right yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
Oh Nerdle, I'm tired today, admitted today.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
Yeah, you just got back from Vegas less.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Than twenty four I did not want to do with
this podcast, you guys. Admittedly, this is all about consistency,
to me right now, I feel like I'm just going
through the motions because I am. I'm I'm fucking worked.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Yeah, work, are you going? Well, what are you gonna
do after this?
Speaker 1 (34:41):
I'm going to go to the beach and shut my eyes.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Okay. Well, honestly, you have shown up, and you have
said what you wanted to say. We've talked about the
things that we wanted to talk about. Yeah, you don't
have to meet any type of length commitment to satisfy anybody.
It's our podcast, and we show you showed up. We
wanted to write work.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
I told Matt yesterday, I was like, I don't know
if I can record I I I.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
At that for a few minutes because talk about calling
ourselves out right, and I.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Called myself with ours because uh, when I got home.
When I got home, my mother in law was here,
and like, it's just I I needed a minute to
fucking like, I can't. I can't talk to anybody anymore.
I don't know if anyone like I was talking all weekend,
do you know what I'm saying? And there was a
lot going on. There's a lot of questions, a lot
of interactions, so much overstimulation, just vegus alone is over stimulating,
(35:35):
and so I'm the type of person. I'm introvert, extrovert.
I just I have to shut down. It's like I
need to shut down or recharge or I become like crazy.
I do like I started snapping at Mike and plus
the time change, and so yesterday Matt was like, are
you home or you know safely? It was everything good,
and I was like, yeah, we're a recording reading the
(35:56):
podcast tomorrow, aren't we Because I'm going I'm going to
be driving back to me next week and I won't
be able to record because we leave on Tuesday morning.
And so I was like, I don't know if I can.
I can do it tomorrow. And then I after I
sent that, I was like, you have to do it tomorrow.
You don't have a fucking choice. Best Okay, Like stop
being a little baby bitch. And I told Matt, I
(36:20):
go mad, Okay, we can record tomorrow. I'm just being
a little baby bitch. I am. I'm being one right now.
So it's like, this is what we do. This is
what me and matter about. Though we show up even
when we may not want to, because you know, it's
not always easy to show up and be your one
hundred percent yourself when you're not feeling it. You know,
(36:43):
even if you love something. I love this podcast, I
love Matt, but you know, sometimes you just don't want
to do something absolutely on that day that it's supposed
to happen, you know.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
And ninety episodes in, there's been episodes where we didn't
like we we were like, we don't want to do
this right now, like we're not elsewhere, like, but we
we've made a commitment, and hey, yeah, exactly what I
really appreciate, Beth, how with that just came full circle
because you were just honest about you had how you
had to be honest with yourself and then you called
me right on an excuse about the cooler, Right, So
(37:18):
we practiced, Like going back to the last week's episode,
the title was practice what you preach were, Yeah, just
called each other like we just we were okay with that.
You have to be okay with that, and you have
to be honest with yourself if you want to fucking change.
And I think that's a perfect way to end this episode, honestly,
because yeah, that just really hit home the message I think.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Yeah, for sure, Mike drop bam All right.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
