Speaker 1 (00:03):
K K Klan. Gentlemen, May I have your attention please.
(00:57):
The show starts in.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Hard good evening and welcome to Believe in the Journey Podcast, y'all.
I think I made a mistake by putting this great
sweater on tonight because it matches my brackground, so all
you can see is my head. But anyway, thank you
(01:31):
for tuning in to Believing the Journey Podcast, where I'm
your host, Trevita Harris. We are coming up on the
end of season three. There are only three shows left
in this season. I'm not gonna be before you, guys
long only because my guest got sick.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Yesterday and so she's not feeling good today.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
She thought she would be feeling better before showtime, but
it's better to take care of your health.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
We can always reschedule and do this another time.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I'm still a little worn out and exhausted from the
baby shower.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
For my daughter yesterday, and so.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
It was an exciting day yesterday, nothing short of amazing.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
We're welcoming a new little baby.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Girl come January of next year, so just keep my
daughter in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery
of little Sonaia that is a name so, but before
we do anything, let's go to God in prayer. Dear
Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me this opportunity in
the space to speak to anyone that decides to listen
(02:42):
and tune in tonight. I don't have many words to say,
but please allow me to deliver any words that you
give to me. I thank you for all that you do,
because everything that you do for me is why I
am able to walk on the path and the destination
that you have for me. Let the words of my
mouth fall upon the ears that needs to hear, and
(03:03):
your precious and holy name.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Jesus, I pray amen.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I still have this call that I've been dealing with
for the last couple of months. One thing that I
want to talk about tonight, which I really don't have
a certain topic or subject, is blended families. We don't
talk about that enough, and yesterday was one of those
moments where it was my family, my daughter's boyfriend's family,
(03:35):
and then my fiance and his family. We collectively got
together to celebrate my daughter and welcoming the beginning of
welcoming a new little addition to the family. And I
think sometimes blended families don't always go very well because of.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
People who don't really know how to be an adult.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
In situations like that, they tend to hold on to animosity, hurt,
and pain more.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
So than anything.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
But yesterday was a true experience of what it means
to come together with love and one agenda and one purpose,
and that was that it truly does take a village
and when you have a strong support system around you,
(04:35):
that anything is possible. And we had a great time.
We had great food, great laughter, the games that we played.
It was a truly good experience. Also it also brought into.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
The mind of life and death.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
And I say that because just last week, last well
this past Monday, honestly, we buried my great aunt and
during that same week my aunt, my great aunt, passed
away on October the twenty fifth, My birthday was October
to twenty ninth. We had her homegoing service on November third,
(05:22):
which was Monday, and then yesterday we had a baby shower.
So life and death is one of those things that
you're living in one moment and you're leaving the next.
And I don't think we talk about death as knowing
that it is coming. We all have an expiration date.
(05:45):
We all have a date to go home, just like
we have the date to come here.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
But we never really talked much about.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
X frying, which we know that that is going to happen,
and I think that we don't talk about it in
the sense of no one likes to talk about it
because if you're talking about it, that means that you're
no longer going to be here. But if you are
living a life that is designed by God and you're
(06:17):
following his instructions and you're being obedient, then the life
that you live every day it should be celebrated. We
shouldn't wait till you know birthdays and holidays and baby
showers and things of that nature to celebrate life every
day that your granted time here on this earth is
a moment where you should be celebrating.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Hey girl, how you doing.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
That? Life is a beautiful thing and we need to
learn how to live life to the fullest each and
every day that we're above ground, because our time is
coming near.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
The older we get, the closer we are getting to
our expiration date.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
But also, I've read so many rest in peace sending
my condolences my prayers. So if you have not gotten
right with God, Please start building that relationship and learning
that God is is the way you know if you
don't have a relationship with him, if you feel like
(07:23):
he's not listening to you, he's not there for you.
But when was the last time you actually took time
to talk to him? When was the last time you
called upon God? When was the last time you set
aside some time to sit and talk with him? Because
he has all the time, it's up to you. You
constantly saying you're busy, you got this going on, you
got that going on, but you've never taken the time
(07:45):
to sit down and actually talk to God.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Because I'm sure he's.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Talking to you, but you choose to ignore him because
he's not coming in the way that you feel like
you can receive him. Because God doesn't always answer us
in the way that we feel or with the way
that we hear it. That's why half the time, when
he's answering our prayers, it doesn't look like what we
envisioned it to look like. Because God is God all
(08:08):
by himself, all he needs is for us to be
obedient to what he's calling us to do. If you
holding on to a grudge with somebody, let that go,
because you don't want to be living with regret, living
in a space to where I wish I could have
said this, I wish I had said this, I wish
(08:28):
I had done this or whatever. That's a lifetime of
regret that you don't want to live with. That's a
lifetime of pain and regret that will linger forever. So
if you have an opportunity to tell somebody you love them,
if you have an opportunity to tell somebody how much
you appreciate them, no matter how big or how small,
(08:50):
make sure that you're doing that now because you don't
want to be in a space where you're living with
I wish I had or I wish I could, because
I definitely wish I could have more time with my mom,
but I knew that.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Her time was up.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
But I did make sure that I said everything that
I needed to say before she left here, because I
don't have those moments where it's like, what, had I
just told my mom this, or had I just told
her that.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
I told her.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Everything that I needed her to hear while she was
here and able to still hear me, because when they're
going on to the other side, the hearing is the
last thing to go, and I knew that she could
hear everything that I was saying. She couldn't respond anymore,
but she could hear me. And that time that we
(09:40):
shared was truly, truly special. So don't wait, and tomorrow
could be any one of ours last days. So make
sure that you get right with God. Make sure that
you are building a relationship with him, because only you
and him can have a relationship. When they say get
to know God for yourself, that is something that.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
You need to do.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Don't be dependent upon somebody else's relationship to get you
in to heaven because what they eat and what they
do is not gonna be your ticket to the upper room.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
It's just don't.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Work that way because God ain't gonna ask you about
somebody else when you get there. He's gonna ask you
about what you've done, because it is your responsibility to
make sure that you are doing what you have been
called to do. Now, everybody walking this earth is not
perfect because we are imperfect beings. But in His image
(10:34):
and his eyes, we are perfect. But we still fall
short every each and every day. That is why repentance
is important. So just make sure that you're doing what
you're supposed to be doing, going forth and loving on people,
telling them how much you appreciate them, telling them how
much you value them. If you are scared to step
(10:56):
out on faith because God is giving you a vision
and you afraid that you won't get support in it,
how do you know what support you're gonna get if
you never get started, If you've never taken an opportunity
to get started on anything, but God keeps telling you
I have something greater for you, but you are still
(11:16):
afraid standing on the sidelines. But you want to learn
to swim, but you won't even get.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
In the water. Make it make sense.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
You got to be able to do what God is
calling you to do, because He's not gonna provide you
with a vision. If he's not gonna provide the provisions
for it, That's just not the kind of guy we serve.
So keep doing what you guys have don I thank
you guys so much for tuning in to believe in
the journey this season. Season three has definitely been a
(11:45):
wonderful season, and I am coming back for season four.
I don't know what God has in store, but each
and every season he always tends to blow my mind
and providing me with the guests and the timing that
I need and always provides confirmation for whatever it is
(12:07):
that I have going on. Oh, just to give you
guys a heads up, I have created a coloring book
and it is called Breaking the Cocoon Becoming and it's
basically a coloring book that gives positive affirmations and.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
It talks about coming out of.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
The cocoon because we all are going through different challenges
and transforming different aspects and avenues of our life.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
And so when you are able.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
To break free of any situation that you're going you
are giving your wings a little bit more color, a
little bit more shine, and so it's becoming the best
version of yourself, and so be on the lookout for that.
The other book is a ninety day devotional. It is
called Her Path Its Purpose, and it gives you week
(13:03):
by week. It's thirteen weeks and of course night not
to day, so it gives you a lot of different
things for you to look at and reflection, questions, affirmations,
a scripture, and a devotion. So it's a good little
book to be on the lookout for. I'll let you
guys know if you want a pre order, you can
(13:24):
either one. It is just reach out to me and
I'll send you the information. But that's all I got
for you guys tonight. I am still exhausted. My body
is still very sore because I was doing some plumb
because y'all know, I'm sure I can't reach nothing. So
it was an interesting but very love feel that yesterday,
(13:47):
and I am grateful that I'm able to feel the
pain that I feel.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
But I thank you guys for tuning in.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Like I said, I was not going to keep you
guys long tonight, and if it seemed like I was rambling,
I probably was because, as I said, I am tired,
but it's a good tired and I love you guys,
and I hope you guys tune in on December.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Not December. We're still in November.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
November the twenty seventh is the next day, which is
Thanksgiving Day, I believe this year, and we're just gonna
talk about how thankful we are that God has brought
us to seeing Thanksgiving. It's more about not just sharing
the meal, the food or anything, but being thankful for
the life that God has provided for us, the blessings
(14:33):
that He continues to bestow upon us with each and
every day that he grants us on this side.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
So that is what the Thanksgiving show is going to
be about.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
So I will probably be surrounded by family and friends.
So if you would like to be part of this show,
please reach out and let me know and we will
make that happen. But I love you, guys, and thank
you so much for tuning in, and I'll see you
guys on Thanksgiving. Good night.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
As a
