A quote for this week is Thanksgiving is not just today.

(04:19):
It is a way we can live our lives every
day by contreata mayas, and we in the season of Thanksgiving,
giving God thanks for having a roof of my head,
food on our table, all the things that God provides

(04:42):
for us. And the Bible it says I will bless
the Lord at all times, his praise shall continually be
in my mouth. If you only knew the reason why
I praise Him like I do. My brothers and sisters,

(05:09):
when we stop and think of the phaise, if only
you knew, we come to the conclusion. That's letting someone
know if they can understand something like you understand it,
if they could experience it like you experience it, then

(05:29):
maybe they would comprehend what you're saying. Maybe then they
would understand why I praise God the way that I do.
In other words, if we only knew why I praise
Him like I do. Huh, it's a testimony of what
God has done for me. I wonder if there's anybody

(05:54):
listening this evening who have if only you knew, reads
in the praise Him like I do, testimony and the
truth of the matter we all should have. If only
you knew the reason why I praised him like I
do testimony because when you think about how God has

(06:19):
answered your prayers, lifted your burdens, and those he did
not lift, he gave you the strength to bear them.
How the Lord has led you into the green plaster
of paster, the play and walk with you besides the
still waters of peace.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
He prepared a.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Table before your haters, dried your tears, mended your broken heart.
He's made away out of noway. How made your enemies
your footstools. If we was in a traditional church, I
would tell you now to look at your neighbor and

(07:06):
tell them if you only knew how the reason why
I praise him like I do. And I'm gonna say
to you on tonight, if you only knew the reason
I praise him like I did. In the text before us,

(07:27):
we find one of the most famous and most quoted psalms.
David pens the psalm while in the cave of I Duliam.
It was that David turned the cave Glory be to
God into a cathedral. My hand me a minute, I

(07:51):
got a SIPs of water. Glory be to God. I
feel her like preaching on tonight, His testimony was personal.
My testimony is personal. Ah. But David says, I will

(08:15):
bless the Lord at all times, and his praise shall
continually be in my mouth. And the first thing that
we have stated is that his testimony is personal.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
David didn't say they need to bless the Lord.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
All the time and his praise shall be in their mouth,
but he said he made it personal. And in order
for us to be the sabler say it like David
said it, we must have our own personal experience with God.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Ah, I will bless the Lord at all times.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
And other words, David let us know that praising God
is a powerful act.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Oh, Glory be to God. It's a demonstration of our
love for him.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
It's our way of acknowledging his greatness, Ah, his faithfulness,
his goodness, and his grace, Sir.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Is a way of connecting with Him on a deep
personal level.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Huh.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
But not only was it a personal testimony, but the
text revealed it was a motivated testimony. It was motivated
how because the word blessed and the text means to praise,
to congratulate, to salute, or to brag. I wonder if

(09:55):
there's anybody on the line this evening. Now who cares
and brag on God? Let me be a praise token
in the praise meeter and do a praise change this evening.
Did God wake you up this morning? Did God start

(10:17):
you on your way? Did God put food on your
table and clothes on your back and a roof over
your head protected you from dangers?

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Singing? Unseinging? And if the Lord has done anything for you,
hollered lujah.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
If we was in a church, if I had some
witnesses on tonight, you are to stand up on your
holy feet and put your sanctified hands, stay together, and
give your neighbor five five yourself and say, if you

(11:03):
only knew the reason why I praised Him like I did.
You see it was a motivated testimony, and I'm motivated
on tonight to tell somebody if you only knew the
reason why I praise God like I do. Are you

(11:26):
looking at somebody, Ah, that's very dear son. You looking
at somebody that's been homeless. You looking at somebody that's
been married in the voice, You looking at somebody ha
that suffered.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Her a stroke. O glory be to God.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
And take another look. You looking at somebody that been
diagnosed with cancer.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
A Laylujah, our luyah. But God has been good to me. Oh,
he has gave me the victory. How the luyah God
is good?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Well.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
Not only was David's testimony personal and motivated. Did David say,
I'll bless the Lord when things are good, I'll bless
the Lord when I feel like it.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
But he said and all her at all times, and.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
Other words, I'm gonna praise the Lord and sezars of
joy and sorrow. I'm gonna praise them in triumph and despair.
And in his continuous testimony, he let us know that
praise is a weapon and the battle Luijah, Glory be

(13:01):
to God. There's a songwriter that says, I'm gonna praise
him in advance because praise her confuses.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Her the enemy.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
The enemy is wondering why with this diagnosis of cancer
and I still her praising Lord. But praise is more
than words. It's warfare. It's a weapon against the enemy.
Lies Glory be to the risen God, Hallelujah, hallelujah. Praise

(13:45):
her reminds the enemy that no matter what, we belong
to God. Because praise her shifts the atmosphere. This arms
the enemy and bites her the present of God to
work on our behalf. Because praise shifts our perspective, It

(14:09):
strengthens our faith and realize our hearts with God's will.
That's why David put emphasis on the experience of our
life with the words at all times and other words.
David was saying, I'm gonna bless the Lord anyway and anyhow.

(14:31):
How many of you on tonight have anyhow praise Hallelujah.
I'm gonna praise God anyway. I'm gonna praise God despite
this cancer diagnosis. Ah, tonight, my body is racking in pain,

(14:54):
but I still came out to bless the Lord. No
matter how dark the night, I will bless the Lord
and property or in plenty, forsaken or forgotten. I will
bless the all Lord at all times, no matter what,

(15:17):
I'm gonna give God the praise he deserves.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
You see her when you think.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
About how God spoke creation into existence by saying, let
them be. He set the sun in the socket and
crowned the moon at the queen as the queen.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Of the night.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
I lay Louiah, Ha Layluiah, the Lord who spent out
seven seas in the instant of time and taught.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
Rivers how to run, put green and grass wet and water,
taught time how to retake from day to night, and
then from night to day to dust, and formed man
in his hand, loved.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
Him into existence.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
I the Louyah, and on the banks of time blew
in him the breath of life, and man became a
living being. How Or, when David reflected her back on
the goodness of God, he let us know her that
we should bless the Lord continually.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
At all times.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
We are to bless him vocally, because his praise shall
be in our mouths. We are to bless him inwardly
and unashamedly. When I'm up, I'm gonna breast the Lord.
When I'm down, I'm gonna breast the Lord when I
have money. How when I'm broke her, when I'm feeling well,

(16:58):
when my body is racking in pain, when I'm understood,
when I misunderstood her, I'm gonna bless the Lord. Because
if you only knew her, the mountains I had to endure, her,
the valleys I had to go through. If you only

(17:19):
know when the doctor walked away shaking his head, But
through it all I came out of it with a testimony.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
I will bless the Lord at all times.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
His praise shall continually be in my mouth because of
when I think how Jesus walked up Calvary Road so
one day we can walk on streets of gold. When
I think about her, how Jesus wore a crown of

(17:56):
thorns so we could wear a crowd the righteouss up there.
When I think about how Jesus hung, bleed and died
placed in our spiral, toune. But I heard that early
one Sunday morning he got up with all her power

(18:23):
in his hands. And because he got up, I got.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
If you only knew him.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
Reason why I praise it like I do, deest the moony,
because nobody can do.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
Me like Jesus. He's my friend. Glory be to God,
Holley Louis. I will bless the Lord at all times,
and his praise and his.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Praise shall continually be in my mouth, for glory be
to God.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Come, what may come, what go.

Speaker 5 (19:10):
I'm more than a conqueror. I'm an overcomer in Jesus's name.
I'm more than a victim. I am a victim in
Jesus' name.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
Glory be to God.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
Holl Lay Luiah. I feel I feel, I feel like
praising God. I love Luijah.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
If you know what I've been through, how you were praise.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
God to hallay Luiah, Hall lay Lujah, Glory, hallelujah. So
if you're going through her anything on tonight and it
looks them and the report hasn't been good, don't give up.

(20:08):
Keep your hand in the in the hand of the
unchanging God. Look to the hills, for whence cometh your help.
And my favorite scripture is weeping her. Oh yeah, we're
gonna cry in the midnight hour. I've cried myself to sleep.

(20:29):
I said, God, I can't take her much more her.
And God said, I'll not put no more her on
you that you can bear her. That I am gonna
be with you. I'll never forsake you or leave me.

(20:51):
I'll be with you till the end of time. Glory
be to God, Allelujah. But you gotta praise me ilen lujah.
When it looks dark and dim and the enemy how
don't want you? How the praise of Me I got

(21:12):
you to confuse the enemy. They know what you're going through.
Everybody knows what you're going through, and they wondering how
Why you still gotta praise, why you still gotta hallelujah?

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Why you still gotta thank you Jesus Ah? The reason
is I will bless the Lord at all times, his
praise continually here be in my mouth.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
Is that anybody here that don't know the man that
I'm talking about?

Speaker 4 (21:50):
Her?

Speaker 5 (21:51):
I let Louijah, they don't know? Ooh, the blessed at
all times? Well, aunt, I introduce you to my friend Jesus,
how led Luiah. He'll never leave you her, nor for
sake you her in the midnight, our her. When you

(22:14):
can't call nobody here but Jesus, he'll answer you.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
Glory be to God.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
And it's so easy to know my friend Jesus. All
you have to do is say, I'm sorry I send
against you, but I don't want to do it no more,
how led Louiah. And you admit her that Jesus is

(22:45):
the risen son of God. Glory be to God.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
And then you get yourself a relationship. You gotta get her.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
All You can only say, I will bless the Lord
at all times when you have a relationship with him.
So get a relationship with him. Find yourself a Bible,
believe in church, so that you too can say, I
will bless the Lord at all times that you have

(23:20):
any way praise that no matter how it looks. My
testimony is that God has never left me or for
sake give me and I don't look like what I've
been through. And if you're my brother and sister in
Christ and you know God, the God that I'm talking about,

(23:46):
don't just on Thanksgiving give God praise, but thank Him every.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
