We may not ever understand why we suffer or be able to control the forces that cause our suffering, but we can have a lot to say about what suffering does to us, and what sort of people we become because of it. Pain makes some people bitter and envious. It makes others sensitive and compassionate. It is the result, not the cause, of pain that makes some experiences of pain meaningful and others empty and destructive.Harold S. Kushner,

a divine design and when you live according to that design,

(01:53):
everything changes. We keep it real around here. I endeavor

intended for a faith, for a fire and fully focused.
And yes, I stay in my lane and mind the
business that pays me, and I encourage you to do

and we're gonna start like we start every week with prayer.

(02:36):
The Bible says at everything, give thanks. No matter what
you're going through in life, you give praise and honor
unto God because He is good and good all the time.
Dear Heavenly Father and the precious Princess name of your

(02:57):
son Jesus, I come before you again after the be
with us doing this broadcast. Let me decrease and let
you increase. Send the word that inspires, that satisfies, that sanctifies.

(03:19):
On tonight, remember the visionary of this ministry. Touch her
body and the precious name of Jesus, from the crown
of her head to the soul of her feet. Regulate
her anything that is not right in this body. We
asked that you regulated now in the precious name of Jesus. Ah.

(03:44):
We pray for the other members of the crew podcast.
I don't know what they're in need of, But God,
you do you act intercessary for us when we don't
know how to pray. Asking you to intercede on our
behalf or on tonight, Touch my body. Let it be
a miracle in the name of Jesus, that someone will

(04:09):
know that it's all because of you. Touch the leaders,
the spiritual leaders, and the natural leaders on tonight. You
know what the world is going through, and you know
what we have need of. But God, you still in control,
and I'm leading and dependent on you. In Jesus' name,

(04:33):
I do pray Amen. And our quote for the week
is we may not understand why we suffer or be
able to control the forces that costs our suffering, but
we can have a lot to say about what suffering

(04:53):
does to us and what sort of people we become
because of it. Pain makes some people bitter and eviots.
It makes others sensitive and capacitate. It is the result,
not the cause of pain, that makes some experience of

(05:14):
pain meaningful and others empty and destructive. And that was
by Harold as Custer. Today, I'm gonna ask you a question.
It's probably a question that we've all thought about at
some point in our life. Why do bad things happen

(05:42):
to good people? I'm thinking about Brother Joel. The Book
of Job is one of the oldest manuscripts in the Bible,
probably written before Exodus, and tells the story about a
man who bears the title of this book, a fellow

(06:03):
named Job. Oh, have you've been in church any length
of time, you know that Job was a righteous man
Alleluiah and the devil Ah. He was seeking her, going
to and fro seeking who he could deviy her, and
he said to God. He said, God said to him,

(06:28):
have you considered her my servant? Job? And the devil said,
you have a hedge all around him. But I bet
her if you take that hedge from around him, he
will curse you to your faith. Hallelujah. Glory be to God.

(06:49):
But God had faith and job. He knew he was
a man of integrity. Uh huh, he will if the
story begins with a man who had everything and then
he lost everything. His kids died, his cattle died. His

(07:12):
wife said, why don't you curse God and die? So
he lost everything. Glory be to God and his friends.
Oh yeah, you know how them so called friends are.
I bet some of them now are sitting on the
sideline and saying, Minister Alma been through so much. I

(07:34):
thought she was saved. She must have sinned. Ahnd the
so called friends are sitting on the doctor being just
wasting time trying to find out why I'm going through.
Glory be to God. But I chose her to be better,

(07:56):
not be better, no matter what the enemy, So was
my way here. I'm gonna praise God because I know
her that good thing, bad things happen to good people.
If you are with God, you gonna suffer. How Jesus
was nailed to the cross. He became sin for us.

(08:20):
He never said the day in his life, but he
became sin for us. He was whipped all night long.
He was bruised for our iniquity. Oh but why Jesus
was a good man? Why did bad things happen to him? Oh?

(08:41):
Wait a minute, now, let's talk about brother Moses.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
He was brought up in the king's palace. He had
the best of everything, the best education, are the best clothes.
He was the pharaoh's daughter's son. He had everything. But
one day he was walking outside and he saw one
of his kinsmen being abused. So he killed someone and

(09:13):
he had to get on the run. Oh why did
good things? Bad things happened? Glory be to God on tonight.
Oh callylujah. There's a lot of people who want to
compare their self to job, but they're not going through

(09:34):
anything like job. It's true that we all experienced setbacks,
but none of us to the degree that job do.
While they are bad things that happened to good people,
we must realize, like job, no matter what we go
through we have to. Hey have a made up mine.

(09:55):
Job said, though you slay me yet, Well, I trust you.
How many other boys on tonight can say, though you
slay me yet, I'm gonna trust you when my body
is racking in pain. I'm gonna trust you when I'm nauseous.

(10:18):
I'm gonna trust you when my stomach is hurting. I'm
gonna trust you when I'm having a bad reaction from
the radiation. I'm gonna trust you. When I bury my
only son, I'm gonna trust you. Glory be to God.

(10:39):
I'm gonna trust God tonight. How about you? When it
comes to stressful situation, it puts the man's on us,
not only physically but mentally. Oh, Glory be to God,
Thank you Jesus. Yes, yes, hollered Louiah. Ha. Hollered Louiah.

(11:05):
As we're talking about her, Ah, Moses, ha Ah, there
was the flaming bush, and he looked a little closer
to see why the bush was burning.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Ha.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
And God called them, and Moses had a lot of
excuses why he didn't want to go a lot of time,
we have excuses why we wanted won't do what God
told us to do. Ha. Ah, the Angel of the

(11:44):
Lord appeared to him, and flames of fire from winning
butsch within a butch. Then he said, I am the
God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God
of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And that this
Moses hid his faith because he was afraid to look

(12:06):
at God. The Lord said, indeed, I've seen the misery
of my people in Egypt. I've heard them crying out
because of their saved drivers, and I'm concerned about their suffering.
So I've come down to rest them from the land
of the Egyptians and bring him to a land of

(12:30):
milk and honey. But Moses said to God, who am I?
That I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites
out of Egypt. And God said, I will be with you,
and this will be a sign to you, that is
I who have sent you. And when you have brought
the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on

(12:52):
this mountain. Oh, even the great Moses was a person
just like us, with a temper and periods of depression.
Acts seven twenty five tells us that his heart motives
was right, but he tried to do it by hisself.
He missed God and jumped to God. As a result,

(13:14):
he became a recuse. He no longer believed in theself.
When God asked him to go back to Egypt, he
made every excuse. How do you turn your set packs
into a into your comeback? He put your failures into restructive.
Everyone fails, Everyone has problems. Nobody is perfect, even the

(13:40):
most successful spiritual or war leaders and Bible heroes did.
David failed, Peter failed, Moses failed, Paul failed, Abraham failed.
And just because you fail doesn't mean you a failure.

(14:01):
There's different views of the sets. You're an overcomer, hallan
lujah alland's all about giving up islan lujah. When something
bad happens, hallor Lujah. We can praise God when our
pocketbook is filled. We can praise God when we got

(14:23):
a clean build of health. We can praise God when
our children are acting right now, when our husband is
acting right, a glory be to God. But when some
bad things happen to you as a good person, the
first thing we want to say to God, I'm talking

(14:46):
about me now. The first thing I wanted to say
to God is a God, I've been faithful, holland Lujiah
I've been through a lot, God, and I never let
go of you hand. I will forever look to the
mountains for which cometh my help. All of my help

(15:07):
comes from the Lord. Glory be to God on tonight.
Holler Louis, hollered, Louis, don't give up, Hollerluiah. That's because
you going through some things. The Bible says that were
gonna suffer in this life. I'm not exempt, you not exempt. Oh,

(15:31):
but we have to hold on to God's unchanging hand. Oh. Yes,
some bad things are gonna happen to good people. Are
It's not because of your goodness. It's not because you sin, Halleluiah.
Is because in this life and this life, Ah on

(15:53):
this journey called life. Isla Luiah, We're gonna suffer, holland Louiah.
Glory be to God. But I'm ecstatic that I don't
have to go through it alone. The Word of God
says that he will never leave me or forsake me.
The Word also says that the poor man cried, and

(16:17):
He delivered him out of all of it by his stripes.
We are healed. The doctors might come and give you
a bad report. There's nothing we can do. Goo re
bed God. But be like Hezekid, turn your face to

(16:42):
the wall and pray and God, I've been faithful God,
I've been a woman of integrity. And my job here
on earth is not done. You can't give up, you

(17:04):
can't look at your situation. We serve a great, big God,
and we don't have to put God into a box.
As I stated earlier, everybody that God used just about
in the Bible, they went through some things. Brother Paul,

(17:26):
most of the books that he wrote in the Bible,
he was in prison while he wrote those books. And
prison in those days was not like the prisons we
have where you get three meals a day in a
cop uh uh. It was a dungeon. He was chained

(17:48):
to the guards so he wouldn't get away. But yet
he still held on his integrity. Yet he's still no
matter what he was going through, he said God, God
told him that his grace is sufficient for him. And

(18:10):
on tonight, I'm saying that, yes, bad things are gonna
happen in life. We're gonna have some storms in life,
but not every storm is meant to destroy you. Some
storms come to clear the path, to clear the way,

(18:35):
So don't give up on God because God is not
gonna give up on you. As long as I have
breadth in my body, I'm gonna praise God. I'm gonna
give him or that I have and understand that it's

(18:57):
not personal. It's because of me, but it's because of
Jesus that I'm going through. Whenever you choose to follow Jesus,
you choose this suffering way. Not every day is gonna
be sunshine, but there's gonna be a lot of rain.

(19:24):
So my inspiration for tonight is good things. Bad things
are gonna happen to good people, but don't give up.
Don't take it personal that it's just you that's going
through right now. If you look at what everybody is

(19:45):
going through, most of God's people are going through, but
they're learning to lean and depend on Jesus. Oh what
you're gonna cut this? You gotta cut that. God is
still in control of everything and he's not gonna let

(20:07):
his people suffer. And as we're gonna end tonight in prayer,
Dear Heavenly Father and the precious name of your son, Jesus,

(20:28):
I come to you tonight understanding that bad things do
happen to good people, but that you are always there.
You're in control. I'm asking you to touch my body

(20:49):
from the crown of my head to the soul of
my feet. You know what's wrong with me? You fixing
God and the precious they Jesus, remember the visionary of
this platform. Continue to allow her to use this platform

(21:14):
to reach the loss, the dying, the broken hearted. Touch
her body in a miraculous way in the name of Jesus.
Once again, remember every member of the Crew podcast and

(21:34):
their family. Grant them the desires of their heart and
the name of Jesus. Remember the spiritual leaders and the
natural leaders of this world. God, let them seek you
for guidance. Let them seek you for wisdom and the
pression team of Jesus. And those of you who don't

(21:58):
know this man that I'm talking about, you can get
to know Jesus on tonight. All you have to do
is repent of your sins, say you godly sorry, and
that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he

(22:20):
died on the cross for our sins. But his story
doesn't end there. And three days he rose again with
all victory in his hand. And if you know the
man that I'm talking about, when bad things happen to you.
Don't get discouraged, don't get disappointed, don't throw your towel

(22:43):
in Remember that God will never leave you or never
forsake you. We do pray and the precious name of Jesus. Amen,
and I am propetence alma commas, and I thank you

(23:03):
for viewing the show on tonight. If you know somebody
who is going through you know a good person that
bad things seem to happen to them over and over
and over again, share this broadcast with them and the
precious theme of Jesus. Remember every first and third Wednesday.

(23:29):
I am here. I welcome you to comment, like, and share,
and I will see you in two weeks. Have a great,
great night, God bless you. Good night.

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
