160 years ago today, January 8, 1865, a soldier in the 113th Ohio Infantry stationed in

Savannah wrote of the day's activities.
The 98th Ohio Volunteer infantry relieved the 113th at 11am and we returned to our former
camp near the city.
Our trip at five days out among the green trees and singing birds has been an enjoyable
