In today’s episode, I’m opening up about a topic that doesn’t get talked about enough — what if you don’t want to build a ton of muscle? Spoiler: that’s OK.
I’m sharing my personal experience as someone who builds muscle easily, especially in my upper body, and how I’ve transitioned into more of a maintenance phase. We’ll talk about what that looks like for my training, why I’m not always lifting as heavy as possible, and why that doesn’t mean I’m not still showing up for my health and longevity.
We’ll also unpack some of the misconceptions around “bulky” muscles, body fat, and how genetics play a role in how our bodies respond to training. Whether you want to gain muscle, maintain what you’ve built, or just move your body consistently, your goals are valid.
This is your reminder that fitness doesn’t have to look the same for everyone, and you get to train in a way that feels aligned with your goals.
