Story Transcript:

En: The school was located on the edge of the desert, in a small town in the south of Srbije.

En: It was a small building, blending into the surroundings with warm sand and dry air that shimmered as the sun dreamed above it.

En: Summer brought the heat that muted all sounds.

En: On the first day of school, Vuk arrived with backpacks full of books and a heart full of hope.

En: He had just moved to this place and dreamed of new friends and adventures.

En: Looking around the classroom, he saw children whispering and laughing.

En: He felt like he wasn't part of it.

En: Ana sat in the front row, carefully listening to the teacher.

En: She knew everyone, and everyone knew her.

En: She was the best student in this school and knew that the new boy might be a threat.

En: The lesson passed quickly, and it was time for a break.

En: Vuk approached a group of children with a smile.

En: "Would you like to play?

En: We could have a treasure hunt in the desert."

En: The children hesitated.

En: But the idea sounded intriguing.

En: Ana stood aside.

En: "Maybe it would be interesting," she quietly told the girl next to her, but she didn't know what it would all look like.

En: A few hours later, the group headed towards the desert.

En: Vuk made a map, simple and changeable, with the intention of keeping people nearby.

En: As they climbed the sandy dunes, Ana watched Vuk.

En: "Do you have a plan?"

En: Ana asked as they lagged behind the group.

En: "I do, we just have to watch carefully around us," replied Vuk with a smile.

En: As they walked, they spotted something glimmering buried in the sand.

En: It was a small, old amphora.

En: Vuk and Ana dug it up together.

En: They looked at each other and started to laugh.

En: "It looks like we've found the treasure," said Ana, now in much higher spirits.

En: They returned to the school as friends, excitedly talking about their discovery.

En: By the end of the day, Vuk felt like he belonged there, and Ana realized that new friends could bring new thrills.

En: The sun sank behind the horizon, casting golden rays across the desert.
