Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everybody, and welcome to our beginning of the year meditation.
I am nausea with yoga little and these are my friends. Girls.
You want to introduce yourself. I'm Irie I love that, Yes,
Irene and Luna are here to meditate with me and
just bring in some new energy for the new year.
(00:21):
We're so glad that you all have joined us, and
it's gonna be really fun. So let's get started. I
first want to share a book that I love is
called I Am Thinking My Life, and it is by
Alison Atwater see that, and it is illustrated by Stevie Lewis.
So what I love about this book is the power
(00:43):
of thinking your life, creating your life with your thoughts,
and that's how I live. And it's a great reminder
and this is one of my favorite books right now.
So we're gonna read it and then we'll get started
with our meditation. All right. I am thinking my life.
I am thinking my life every day. Her thoughts are
(01:08):
creating her life. I am creating a universe. I am
communicating with the world. I think stars, I see stars.
I am stars. I think myself smiling, I see myself smiling.
(01:36):
I am smiling. I am sculpting my world. I am clay,
I am motion, I am light. I am what I think.
I am what I think. I am planning my world.
(01:59):
I breathe me into my life through my thoughts and
then my actions. I am the architect of my dreams.
I think myself joyful. I see myself joyful. I am joyful.
(02:21):
But then sometimes I think storms, and I see storms.
I am storms and thunderclouds and tears. Are you tears? Sometimes? Yeah,
me too. But then, even though it's difficult, I search,
and I search inside myself, and there it is. She
(02:45):
found the light inside of herself. Even when it's dark.
I think sunshine, I see sunshine. I am sunshine. And
the clouds and the thunderstorms roll away from my mind
and they have no power. I can think anything. I
(03:08):
think myself dancing. I see myself dancing. I am dancing.
I think my self building. I see myself building. I
am building. I think myself drawing. I see myself drawing.
I am drawing. And look at my creations, look at
(03:30):
all the crazy, awesome world she created with her mind.
I think beauty. I see beauty. I am beauty. I
think affection. I give affection. I am affection. I am powerful,
(03:50):
I am radiant, I am loving, I am creative, I
am I am thinking, I am seeing, I am becoming.
I am thinking my life. I am thinking my world.
(04:16):
The end. So what I love about this book is
that it reminds us that everything that we think with
our minds we can create into our realities. So what
do you take from this book? What do you think
about this book? I liked about this book is on
the different com and how on those things. Yes, yep,
(04:40):
she built all that, yep exactly. She didn't give up.
And the whole point is that when you think something,
you can create it. If she didn't have the thought
of drawing and creating all these different beautiful worlds, then
she would have never created it. Right, So our focus
today is thinking our lives even when things are so
(05:00):
even we all said that we are tears sometimes right,
sometimes we're happy, sometimes we're sad. But in spite of
however we feel, we can always choose a different way
to feel right. And so this never stops. You always
are trying to do this, even big adults, they're always
trying to figure it out too. We're all just trying
to figure it out. So we're gonna do a meditation
(05:21):
that helps us remind ourselves to think thoughts that we
want to create in our worlds. Okay, okay, so let's
take a deep breath together first, just a big deep breath.
Are we gonna put your hands on your belly, and
when you breathe in from your nose, you'll feel your
belly fill up like a balloon. Okay, so we're gonna
(05:41):
breathe in and you feel your belly getting bigger. Nice job,
and breathe out. I feel your belly getting smaller once again.
Here we go in heal big belly, ex hail, let
it all go. Nice job. All right, we'll take our
hands together. Now, let's rub them together. Feel the heat
(06:02):
in between both of our hands, like we're making a
fire with our energy. Rub. Rub, rub, and then when
we're done rubbing, we're gonna take our hands and put
them close to our cheeks. Okay, here we go. Take
your hands close to your cheeks. Ah, do you feel
the heat coming from your hands. Doesn't that feel good?
(06:24):
That's your own energy. You just created it. Nice job.
So this is an example of how we can create
using our own power. So next when we put our
hands on our face. We're going to close our eyes
and think about a beautiful, warm summer day. Okay, here
we go, close your eyes, hands to your cheeks, and
(06:47):
think of a beautiful, warm summer day. Maybe you're on
the beach, listening to the ocean, jumping in the ocean,
playing with sand. How do you feel on this day?
Do you feel happy? Are you with your friends? Are
you with your parents? Are you making a sand castle?
(07:08):
Are you taking a nap? I love taking a nap
on the beach. Just feel however you would feel on
this beautiful, warm summer day. Does it bring you joy?
Are you happy? Do you have your favorite snacks? Feel
the ocean breeze? Okay, now open your eyes and bring
(07:31):
your hands to your knees. Great job, all right, so
let's close our eyes once more. Take a deep breath
in and exhale. All right. Now, I have a rainstick here,
and we're going to cleanse everything we just created in
(07:53):
our minds. We're going to start all over by bringing
some fresh new life to it. Here. We got ready.
Rain washes all things away, creates a clean slate. It's
(08:15):
raining outside, so that's perfect all right. Now we're all
nice and clean and cleansed. We'll close our eyes here
and just begin to envision what you see in the
new year for your life. Do you want to learn
a new instrument? Do you want to take a new class?
(08:39):
What are the things that you want to do that
are going to make you feel alive and happy and
more like yourself? Think of that thing could be more
than one thing. Just try to find one to focus
on for now. For me, I want to learn more Spanish,
(09:00):
and I'm kind of scared about learning more Spanish because
it's hard and I don't really know all of the
things that I want to know about it. But I
have to practice and commit and envision myself learning more
Spanish and then put in the work and I'll be
able to know more Spanish by the end of the year.
(09:22):
So if it's dancing for you, singing, what do you
want to learn? How do you want to grow in
this new year? And remember that your thoughts create that reality.
So silently repeat to yourself, I am thinking my life.
(09:49):
I am thinking my life. My thoughts are powerful, My
thoughts are powerful. I am magic. I am magic. There
(10:16):
is nothing stopping me. There is nothing stopping me. I
can do and be whatever I see. I can do
and be whatever I see. I am creative. I am creative.
(10:56):
Now continuing to envision yourself with all of this new
unlimited energy, all of these thoughts that you want to
come true in your life. Feel how that would feel.
Feel how happy you would be learning something new, Feel
(11:18):
how happy you would be getting better at something you
already do. And remember that sometimes it's hard. Sometimes you
want to cry. Sometimes we're tears, But there's always that
little light inside of you. You can make it as
big as you want with the thoughts that you think
(11:40):
about your life. When you're ready, gently start to open
your eyes, wiggle your fingers. Let's stretch our legs out
in front of us. Move your feet up and down,
(12:06):
wake them up around the other way. Oop, snap, crack on, pops,
kind of move your body. Let's bring our shoulders up
to our ears and drop them down. Bring our shoulders
up to our ears and drop them down. Nice job.
(12:29):
Bring our hands to heart center. Thank you so much
for joining us, creating new energy and using our thoughts
to create our worlds. Remember, every thought creates your life.
We will bow forward to honor one another. Thank you,
(12:54):
good job. Nice job,
