people are they're.
Speaker 6 (01:12):
Hungry for a man in the Arena.
Speaker 5 (01:14):
You know, it was at Newsmax today and you know,
blah blah blah. You bring these people on and they're like, well,
I think I think you think, well, okay, well we're.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
In it doing you are doing.

with that.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
And we're and we'll have updates. Last week we talked
about Life Act goes to Washington. We'll talk a little
bit about that tonight. We have a really special save
story which many aspects of or many parts of our
company were involved in this great save. But we're all, yeah,
we're also hinting at next week we take on Washington.
(01:58):
But you had you You're always busy. But what an
amazing media day ending up on the Man in the
Arena tonight. But where did it start?
Speaker 6 (02:06):
The biggest shelf of course and the fat podcasting podcast
in America measure. Yes, yes, Well we have our studio audience.
We have expanded our studio audience.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Exactly I have to do. I have to introduce Maria
the intern. Unbelievable impact the first couple of days doing
great stuff.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
But tell me about your day.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
So started early, started early.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
I was on w p i X New York local
news and uh, you know, it was kind of for me,
it was almost a step back in time.
Speaker 6 (02:40):
You know, they were like, so, uh, you know, what
do you do?
Speaker 4 (02:44):
I gotta go through this again?
Speaker 6 (02:45):
What inspired you? But that's fine.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
I think hopefully the story being in my garage and
doing something to say my daughter inspires people to take
on insane, unbelievable windmills with the stick, you know. But
what was cool on that is, you know, the host
didn't really know, you know, And for me, it's almost
at this time, you know, I'm like just watching her
(03:10):
go really, oh my god, you did that, you know,
and you know she I'm gonna demo Charlie. She stands
them up, and I'm like, Okay, it's gonna be a
little difficult for me. That's when I knew that she
didn't know and nothing against her. She was lovely and
she did a great job. But it really was another
(03:31):
little god wake of saying people don't know right right,
she's a mother.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
She didn't know. So hopefully w p I X in
the morning it did good.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
So pix I talk about CBS. I saw a picture
from CBS. We were getting pictures throughout the day. No
you will, you will will talk about Deborah Orvill.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
Was the next stop because the Deborah Norvel is leaving
Inside Edition.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
She's been on I did close to thirty years.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
So I go there and that was pretty cool too
because I walk in and this lovely producer person comes
out and introduced and we're walking to go to film
and boom, I walk into Deborah Norville. Now she spoke
at our one thousand Lives Safe and you know, once
(04:19):
again it's a little God giving us some reality. I said,
you know, we're four thousand now, and she's like, what really?
Speaker 6 (04:27):
Yeah? And then I actually I was able to say,
you know the show and you have saved over one
hundred lives. Over one hundred lives have said we've seen
the segment on Inside Edition. We got it, we saved
the life. And she started tearing up, you know, and
it was cool show of her soul of the fact.
(04:47):
And I know because she did care and she made
a very Were you there you were? You were there?
You heard her speech? Absolutely weren't there? You were.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
I'm never there.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Was busy that.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Joe Franklin there no retired somewhere and show you walked into,
So what do you do?
Speaker 7 (05:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (05:06):
Exactly.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
But the so it was cool. It was nice because
I didn't planned this year, but Uh. So I got
to talk to her a little bit and updater and
I could see her emotions. Yeah, and you know, to
spend that much time and now going out to kind
of have that come up and say you made an impact. Yeah,
you know, and this one I can tell you by
(05:28):
the numbers, you made an impact.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Amazing. She's on the leader she leads the leaderboard of
Media Inspired. So Brian, still need Fox Channel. Mike Rowe
is on there.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
He's third, third, Joe's fourth.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Joe Piscopo coming forth. But Joe, it's such a great competition.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Well, Joe's a little harder because he's been more of
a presence at our events and he talks about it
in general, so you can't quantify it as easily. Uh
But yeah, Brian, second, he's in. I told him last night.
He's in a high already.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
And they, you know, take that moment as they celebrate
Deborah Norville's career and tell her and that I know
she's making a move, not leaving completely, but you know,
she must think about the impact that she has just
on the viewers. But this is quantified lives that she
impacted families, and we talk about the you know, behind
the numbers, and part of the greatest portion of the
(06:24):
Saved Life report is that I think near the end
of the report is how did you hear about Life Act?
And that is when the Deborah Norvilles get mentioned or
inside edition or if Brian killed me?
Speaker 5 (06:36):
Certainly, yeah, and you know I always uh, I love
to see him Brian, right, because we know him, grow
up on him.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
He's a friend.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
But uh yeah, I was able to say you without
a doubt. I'm sure there are more that you'll find
out someday, but that was a cool moment.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
You know what, if you don't mind, remind the listeners
and pat out the viewers, and pat is.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Your role that also before again, okay.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
About this incredible story when before, when you it was
just you and the Small Life BacT team and the
warners and you were up near yeah yeah, yeah, the team,
but you were up near Buffalo and your phone rang
about an entrepreneur show and who was looking out for
you in the back of his mind?
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Like hey, right, yeah, well, I mean that's in the Areada.
You want to read the book the bigger but I
was and Niagarfold has always been a part of my
heart because during my accident.
Speaker 6 (07:41):
That's where we were going. Walking up to the falls,
it's emotional. I'm remembering my friends, my phone rings, unknown number.
I'm not answering my phone falls first.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
First time I've been there since the accident. I'm thinking
of my friends. So I just hang up. I walked
two more feet and it rings and says Brian. Now
you know, Brian don't really call you. He's a busy guy.
He calls you to answer the vote. So I'm like,
I don't know why. I know there's a reason I'm
taking this. So I talked to him and he and
(08:15):
I bugged him for years to be on, but I understand.
Speaker 6 (08:19):
We had a single pung of glue together. I'm ready
to put us on, you know, national television. There's a
life standing device and uh yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
They had a segment on entrepreneurs and Brian got me
in and that was really our first boost in public awareness.
But as I'm walking up the Niagara Faults and.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
Great I got from the waters in our studio.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
That's another thing we learned tonight. It would come from them.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
What do you think, Pat?
Speaker 4 (08:49):
I agree?
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Great story.
Speaker 8 (08:52):
Though great story, it is O'Brian's always throwing gasoline on
people's fire.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
He knew he saw something there and he's like, I
want to help him. He always does that.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
Yes, yeah, and they you know I had a you know,
I trusted him to do one appropriate and the first
chance he got that, you know he can put me
in as an entrepreneur. He did, and that geez, that's
you know, Brian's numbers are probably off two.
Speaker 8 (09:14):
Right now in general for sure, even from his radio
show that's nationwide. I mean money, it's got to be
I remember for I heard you on this radio show
the first time and you made that announcement.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Y'all give him away to schools that was created in
the car you were.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
A great time to remind folks that are listening to
get the Original Life Act. Get Arthur's book. Get the

(09:58):
a lot and it's worth meant author author Arthur Sorry,
can't just lie. You can get it at Lifeact dot
net and we talk about this book a lot some
of the things that inspired you. I think that story
is in that.
Speaker 6 (10:13):
Oh yeah, that's one of my favs. Definitely.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
It's in the chapter of like Hall of Fame, Godwins,
Thank you warners.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Great stuff. And you know, from time to time we
have over four thousand lives saved, those that are reported,
and every once in a while a story comes over.
They're all incredible. They're all live, saved, communities, touched, communities
saved from a family, saved from a choking tragedy. But
this one may first that we are able to share
(10:42):
tonight with the players.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
Crazy.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Yeah, just a crazy, crazy story. This is Saved four thousand,
twenty nine and I believe from Staten Island, mister Angel
Agosta is joining us tonight.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
How were you, sir?
Speaker 1 (11:02):
I'm good. How are you guys today?
Speaker 3 (11:05):
We're incredibly well.
Speaker 6 (11:06):
I appreciate that you're here and I'll watch it seeing
you and having you on, I would say, I'm incredibly grateful.
Right now, I got to tell you that story came
over your story and I was I cried a little
because it's so powerful and I is Angel going to
tell his story?
Speaker 7 (11:26):
Is that?
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (11:27):
Because I could recite it by heart from what I
know now because it was so beautiful.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
But yeah, the date of the incident.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Listen, I think you received the Gift of Life Act
in May of twenty four so less than a year.
But the date April twenty fifth. You're driving, and let's
not I mean, part of the story that is just
so amazing is that you're on your way and I
won't I'll let you tell it, but you're on your
way to have a child with your wife, driving to
(11:56):
the hospital.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
I know this one, yeah, Angel, take it away.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
Yeah, it all started with it was a day of
finals in school. So I'm rushing home from Queens and
we're getting everything ready and I had to take her
to go getting dudes around eight o'clock. And it's funny
because usually I just let the GPS take me to
the hospital and I don't pay my wife anymind. But
(12:24):
this this day I did pay her, you know, some
mine and going to the hospital and we made all
the right turns and maybe like a block away from
the hospital, we noticed a gentleman running in the in
the dark. I'm sorry, I'm like shaky just even going
back through it. And it was so I see the
(12:50):
gentleman running in the in the night. I'm thinking nothing
of it him, thinking maybe he's trying to be traffic.
But then I noticed that when he got in the
middle lane, he jumped in front of my car holding
his hands up holding a child, So he almost gets hit.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
By my car.
Speaker 7 (13:08):
And then there was a second car in the right
lane for me that almost hit him as well. And
then that's when me and my wife noticed that the
baby was almost like unconscious. Her arms were flailing, and
that's when we both noticed that the baby was choking.
And without a second thought, I put the car in part.
I grabbed the life back from my glove box because
(13:29):
I have it there. I had the driver size there,
and I just ran out and I tried not to
lose him in the night, and I was able to
reach him. He was running towards a medical office and
I'm trying to set everything up right in front of
the medical office. He had rung the bell and I
heard the buzzer go off. Without thinking, I grabbed everything
(13:53):
and I ran behind him. Something told me, don't let
that door close in between you two. So when we
got inside the nerve that was behind the desk, she's
trying to figure out what's going on. So I tell
her that the baby is choking. She buzzed the second door.
We go in again, and we go into the first office.
So that's when Dad, holding the baby, threw himself on
(14:15):
his knees, completely helpless, holding his daughter. And under that
bright light, I noticed that the baby was completely blue,
completely purple, and she had this blank stare, like staring
into space. And without hesitating, I just told Dad I
need to open her mouth. So I opened her mouth,
(14:35):
and in one try, I dislodged whatever it was in
her mouth. And with the hecticness and how quickly everything happened,
I didn't notice what it was. But I heard her breathe,
and she was able to gain function of her arms
and legs, and she was able to sit up on
Dad's loot, and she gave me this stare like who
(14:56):
are you?
Speaker 3 (14:57):
And angel angel Ah.
Speaker 7 (15:01):
Man And never never wanted to hug a stranger's child
so much in my life, And.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
I bet you she wanted to hug you too. Hey, listen,
we're gonna if it's okay, we're gonna take a quick
break and we're going to come back more. Angela Costa
in a life saving story.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Yeah, we'll be right back.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
As everyone complains.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
She started to choke on a piece of candy.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
She wasn't breathing.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Then Ray reached for the life back and it saved her.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
She could have easily died that day. A life back
saved her life.
Speaker 9 (15:52):
What I would say is, don't need a life back
and not have it. Have a life back and hopefully
never need it.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
Recently, the American Red Cross has added anti joking devices
as an option when standard protocol fails is not feasible, go.
Speaker 8 (16:08):
To lifeback dot net or called eight seven seven five
four three three eight two two.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
To the man in the arena. We Arthur Lee, along
with powder Work and myself thatcher Angel. Yeah we lost Angel.
We'd be very upset. But before the break we were
talking to angela Costa about an incredible save. We call
them saves. But angeliare there, so to refresh. You were
at the point where go ahead, pick it up, where
(16:37):
you you just have removed the obstruction.
Speaker 5 (16:41):
Wait, go ahead, because I know this from people. When
she took that breath, was that the greatest sound, greatest
thing ever?
Speaker 10 (16:48):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (16:48):
I just felt that the biggest weight, the heaviest weight
off my shoulders when.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
I heard that, Yeah, missed the three thousands and tell
you the same thing. And that's where I get the
passion of the moment, Like in that baby in the
in the save with the mom outside. When you hear
a cry, it's the greatest noise ever. But I knew
that that moment would hit you and impact you. But
go ahead, please tell your story. Continue.
Speaker 7 (17:12):
Yes, so yeah, so we me and her locked eyes
and like you mentioned right now, when you hear that cry,
it's the greatest feeling. But in this situation, I did
not hear the cry, so she just staring at me,
like trying to figure out who I was. And I'm
a former e MT and they told us in school
all the time that a crying baby is a good baby.
(17:33):
So I took that to heart, and I realized, I'm like,
I don't know if everything is out.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
She is a little too calm.
Speaker 7 (17:39):
Yes, she could be resilient, but I'd rather be safe
than sorry. So I told Dad, were already heading to
the hospital, so get in the car and we'll take you,
and he jumped up. We ran into the car and
Mom showed up.
Speaker 6 (17:55):
How is so so you your wife? This gentleman, his baby,
all hopping hard to go to the hospital.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Together, and his wife.
Speaker 7 (18:06):
Yes, because the mom was outside, she couldn't reach into
the medical office. Right before we got buzzed in. My
wife stood outside. There was not much she could really
to do, but she got on nine to one one
and she was talking to the dispatch. She was on
the phone still when we ended up running out. Everything
happened so fast that even the doctor at the medical
office couldn't react in time.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
No, cope, you walk that, you get a Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
So this is already it's already incredible.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Story gets even more incredible in terms of like full circle,
full team, is that you ran into a member of
the Life BAC Team road show Ryan who joins us tonight.
I think he's in New Jersey tonight, but you saw
him in uh what Staten Island.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
No, in Brooklyn, in Brooklyn.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Just a few weeks.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
But yes, the Costco connection, Ryan Water Go road Go Ryan,
jose Tons.
Speaker 9 (19:07):
Ryan.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
That's amazing, hero Angel.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
I appreciate you Ryan. Without you and what I have
gotten done, I'm telling.
Speaker 5 (19:17):
You talk about your interaction with our hero riot.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Yeah, it just happened.
Speaker 7 (19:25):
I worked, I clocked in and I go to my
section to start working, and I noticed that at the
at the last aisle and they had the roadshow and
he was set up with the mannequin and he had
everything set up. And I had it for a while now,
about a year, and up until that point, I never
used it. So I figured, you know, might as well
(19:47):
get some training because I have the travel size, so
they don't come with the training. Yes, so I figured,
you know, it makes no sense to have it and
not know how to use it, so why not go
and get that experience right there? And it took me
a few tries, but Ryan helped me through it and
I was able to get it. And that's his voice
(20:08):
actually played in my head the day of the answering.
Speaker 6 (20:11):
God, how cool is that?
Speaker 11 (20:12):
Ry?
Speaker 6 (20:12):
I got the chills.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
This is incredible.
Speaker 6 (20:15):
Now, Ryan, do you remember Angel?
Speaker 7 (20:17):
Now?
Speaker 3 (20:18):
I do.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
Yeah, you came up to me before they opened, right.
Speaker 7 (20:22):
It was no, it was already late. It was in
the afternoon. I was with one of my managers walking by.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
Yes, I remember the beard, But Ry, what does it
feel like hearing the story? Like I texted you because
I was so proud of you, and I'm always proud
of you. And I'm always proud the way you treat
people and care about everyone and care about the mission
and travel all over the place by yourself to help
(20:50):
save all this does it feel to really know that
you were part of saving that baby's life?
Speaker 3 (20:55):
It's incredible and it just makes me want to keep
going and just keep spreading the word of life that
teaching people how to use it and help them save
as many lives as we can out there.
Speaker 10 (21:05):
You know.
Speaker 6 (21:06):
The uh to me, the big thing is, you know,
when you do something repetitive, it sometimes can be difficult
to remotivate yourself, right, you forget the significance of what
you're doing. And I think when I message you, I said,
that's the beauty of you that you do realize what's
at stake and you do put everything into each each
(21:27):
person you show it too. Yep.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, you know the humility of angel of being a
former EMT having been with Ryan at Costco road shows
and you know, for a good length of time, a
lot of people walk by, a lot of people say
have one, you know, like you know, they're proud good
and Ryan will always ask you want to try have
you tried it? Have you practiced it? And every person.
(21:51):
And I can picture a lot of people saying no, no,
I'm good, I'm good, I'm good. But as a former
EMT to say, you know what, it's a good idea
for me to put my hands on this and get
some practical training.
Speaker 6 (22:01):
Well that's humility.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
And Ryan and Ryan Angel my goodness, like a two
weeks the uh rangel Rangel.
Speaker 6 (22:10):
You guys are combo rangel? There that angel.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
You know you were humble enough to realize that it
never hurts to learn more right, not.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Sure, not srue?
Speaker 7 (22:20):
You never know enough and it's always good to practice practice,
you know, it's you gotta stay practicing for the moment
that it actually happens.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
I love this guy. That's so what you have boy
or girl?
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Baby boy?
Speaker 4 (22:36):
What's his name?
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Liam?
Speaker 4 (22:38):
Liam? Liam pretty much.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Is your wife baby boy.
Speaker 11 (22:47):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (22:48):
She is well more toward like her grandparents side. But
she is Italian whoa I got like she's the one
that picked it.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
It's a great name.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
And do you have other other kids besides Liam?
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yes, I have the much older kids.
Speaker 7 (23:10):
There's step kids from her her sign and then we
shared two the last two so my five year old
Ethan and Liam. Ethan is the reason why I ended
up buying the life back.
Speaker 6 (23:23):
Now you can think about it. He helped save a
life too, right, But so I gotta know. So when
you you you put on your Superman cape, you run
out of the car. Does your wife slide over and
drive the car? Now?
Speaker 11 (23:37):
No?
Speaker 1 (23:37):
She runs out as well?
Speaker 7 (23:40):
Yeah, yeah, my my wife, Yeah she's not gonna stick
around and just be a bystander. She ran out, but
you know, being that she's pregnant at all, she couldn't
reach the door in time. So she just stood outside
and called nine one one and did her part with calling.
Speaker 6 (23:59):
Superheroes. Case amazing. So now the four years go in
the hospital, he goes to have as his child check
checked out that you see, how long until you have
your son?
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Oh? It wasn't until the next day. Seven the next day,
I plut my wife through the ringer.
Speaker 6 (24:20):
That's cool.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
So it wasn't full labor, but still miraculous. Well, heroic.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
I hope you and your wife and your kids can
come out someday to the whole saves. We'd love to
meet you.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
You are a hero. You're a hero, and your your
name is totally appropriate and we can't pay you, but
we'll feed you. Yeah, come on out.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
That'll be great with my kids, No.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Kidding, negotiate it.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Let me ask you this angel, Are you in touch?
Have you been in touch with the family of.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
The unfortunately known I do.
Speaker 7 (24:59):
I would like to because I have a feeling that
they live around the area, because the hospital is not
that far from the location where it happened, is just
a long, a really long block, and it just felt
like God just instinctively ran there.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
So I have this feeling that they were around. Like
with Dad, I.
Speaker 7 (25:20):
Wouldn't recognize him because I was so focused on the
little girl, But if I was to see her again,
I would definitely notice. I would love to see them again,
just to see how they're doing.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
And but.
Speaker 8 (25:35):
Yeah, and you can say, some guy saved me with
life back when I was two years old.
Speaker 6 (25:38):
They'll be a god. There'll be something.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
There's no way that these many connections and and teamwork,
you know, from Ryan working with you to having one
for your other child, to having the courage to get
up and run to help someone else, especially with such
you know your own what maze is about your soul.
You had your pretty much the top of the line responsibility,
(26:05):
your wife's having a baby.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
But you were instinct and your.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
Courage and your soul said I, she's okay, I can
help that person. Right, And you knew from experience and
faith and that that person needed help and were willing
to say I'm okay enough that I can help that person.
Speaker 6 (26:28):
That's absolutely hero, God, hero.
Speaker 5 (26:32):
So I this is one in all my thirteen years
of doing this, in four thousand plus saves, this is
up there.
Speaker 6 (26:41):
This is a hall of Famer.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
I concur thank you.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
I still can't get over Liam, and I can't believe.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
I was listening. Ryan is in a Costco right now
in New Jersey, and he is as we are listening
this story, looking for the next miracle, the next person,
the next.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
Next, dragging people into the food. What's he doing?
Speaker 4 (27:10):
Mandatory?
Speaker 3 (27:11):
Yes, he's in the Costco arena and we're still proud
of him. Brian, thanks so much.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
We're gonna let you get back to work.
Speaker 7 (27:19):
Thank you.
Speaker 9 (27:19):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
So Angel, do you work at Costco as well?
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Yes? I do?
Speaker 3 (27:28):
And were you aware that I asked you earlier when
speaking to you on the phone, how did you become
aware of a life actable you know over a year
ago that was.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Just through Instagram, just social media.
Speaker 7 (27:40):
I kept seeing it because being there on a former EMT,
I still follow medical pages and stuff like that. So
it just kept popping up. You know, once you like it, once,
it keeps popping up on your feet. And it's just
something that stuck with me. I always thought about it,
and it wasn't until a situation would mike the situation
from Jersey Shore where he an incident where his child.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
That's what really see.
Speaker 6 (28:03):
What the deal for me was the guy in the situation, So.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
So that put it over the top. You were aware
of life Act and then when you saw that, and
I believe that was inside edition as well. I think, yeah,
but it was the situation. I never watched the Jersey Shore,
but every you know, there's good in everybody, right, I
never watched the show, but that puts you over the top,
and you ordered we were concerned it all or were
(28:28):
we aware of the prevalence of knockoffs and counterfeits.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
I did, yes, I did see a few of them
pop up and stuff like that. But that's what made
me kind of like sit on the idea of life
back and just like see if it was the real deal.
And then I did, and then when I saw the
video of the situation doing it with his child, and
you know it actually working because my son he used
(28:55):
to stuff food in his mouth all the time, so
my fear was having him choke his well, so I
stood on it. And then it's just life Back kept
popping up, popping up, like all the other names, I
never really they never really stuck. So I had a
feeling that Life Back was the real deal. And fast
forward to today, it is definitely the real deal.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Yeah, I mean, if were you aware of the numbers
as they've accelerated beyond like you just talked about last
summer being for a thousand lives.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
You know what, Angel, when we put this save on
the whole saves this thing behind us that the radio
people can't see, but it's thousands of lives and pictures
in our place. We'd love to have you come put
that save on the wall.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
That would be amazing. I would love to and.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
That would really be great for all of us in
our hearts and souls, and it's a whole moment and
looking at four thousand pictures and you can go up
and read each one, and there's a little bit of
a story what they choked on, what number they save
and you know we end the show. We missed the
three thousand and he uh he was our his daughter
(30:03):
was a three thousandth life we saved and you were
pretty close to four thousand.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Four twenty nine.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Well well yeah, still get five.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
But yes, you always welcome out out here. You are
a hero, guys. Arthur said, yeah, we'll set that up.
Thank you so much, and we'll see you soon.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
All right, we're here, and thank you for sharing that jolt.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Yes, thank you, guys, I appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (30:29):
Going on great, Wow, that's great.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Angel of those stuff from Staten Island and former EMT
dad to be on the way to the hospital, sees
a motorist family in crisis and come on steps that you.
Speaker 6 (30:46):
Guys say to your wife, honey, hold on to the
baby now listen.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
We all thought it, well, we all thought it.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Probably have run the guy over my way.
Speaker 8 (30:55):
Yeah, like I just you could tell you had a
good heart, that guy, I mean everything, Well.
Speaker 6 (30:59):
You know what help because I thought he'd be in
the dog like, I don't care what you did, your
wife would hate you forever.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
I'm fascinated with his story. I want to know more.
About him and his wife, like what do they do?
You know, what's what's going on?
Speaker 6 (31:12):
That's why we got them. Yeah, but I just think
of looking over and saying, honey, I'll be right back,
and she's going to be induced to have our child.
I'm just going to jump out of the car and
run after this guy.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Leave the car and traffic take it, you know what.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
The details.
Speaker 6 (31:26):
And then he said she was behind them.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Getting involved too. You know she's also getting out and
trying to help.
Speaker 12 (31:32):
But difference, you know, she wasn't as quick, yeah, because
she bent, but she couldn't get the door open, so
I started yelling at her.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Right still still miraculous, but I think the difference is
going to get aduce. If she had been in labor,
I think it would have been much different reaction.
Speaker 6 (31:53):
I don't know, man, it's pretty close. If I said,
by the way, hang on a second, it was like
nine months, I couldn't.
Speaker 8 (32:00):
It was also their second kid, So the first one's
a different story.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
The second one.
Speaker 8 (32:04):
You buying a barbecue on the way home, right, you
don't even care. The first one you're afraid to drive home.
Oh and I couldn't get my head around. Rick doesn't
know Jersey Shore. You know Snooky has a son named Lorenzo.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
Come on, oh, this is part of your act. I know,
I know that this is in your way.
Speaker 6 (32:20):
But that's a cool point. Your first child, Like you're
you're a lunatic.
Speaker 8 (32:24):
Yes, yes, I remember how nervous you went driving home
from hospital and they show you had to buckle them in. Yeah,
and we were like, third, I'm not kidding. We were like, oh,
we gotta stop at Price Club on the way home. Yeah,
pull Caroline my third one. I think we put it
on the roof, but that's true. And I remember practicing swallowing.
If something on the floor, you boiled it for an hour. Yeah,
(32:46):
by the third one for five second rule or whatever. Yeah,
you just put the food on the floor.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
You know.
Speaker 8 (32:52):
Look, how could I turned out? I'm the fifth or six?
See that's why you.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Know you Well, I don't know how much we have
one minute, so listen, let's let's wrap up. What a
great story. Angela goes to talking about the four thy
twenty ninth save each one, Like we talk about the
numbers so much, but it's so great to hear the
story behind the details, behind the fact that Ryan Warner
(33:18):
came in, came involved where he didn't have the confidence
Angel did, even though he's a former empty and it's
a simple device to use.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
At first, he yeah.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
I wasn't really comfortable and like this guy told me
how to do it, and we're like, that's.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
For Joe Ryan, that's him, man, And that's because he
gives it. He always does a good job. Make sure
that he knows what sin stakes.
Speaker 8 (33:40):
Oh, I should say a godwink. He probably new it
in a week. I'm gonna have to use this, so
you know, Yeah, I got the training, I got three
days to that.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Stuff happens a lot where they got here a week
before or just arrived and or we just moved and
we knew it was in the closet or a week
before they needed it. Yeah, that happened a lot. Well,
you're listening to the Man in the Arena. We're gonna
take a quick break. We'll be back with more talking
about going to Washington, talking more about saving lives, and
(34:09):
we're going to talk about news Max. Yeah, Arthur Lee,
Ye Paddle, urck Rick Thatcher, the Man in Arena join
us on the other side.
Speaker 10 (34:30):
Ben Carson here with a potentially life saving message I
may be a retired neurosurgeon, but trying to help save
lives is something I'll never stop doing. Every year, this
world loses around five thousand lives that could have been
saved from choking accidents. That's why I've partnered with Life Back,
a company base right here in the USA. It's simple
to use, can be used on adults and children. Plus
(34:53):
it's guaranteed for life. Most importantly, if you ever have
to use it in an emergency, they replace it for free.
Join me on my mission to ensure every home, business, restaurant,
and school in this country has a life stack. Go
to the Life Act dot net and order your very
own life saving device today. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Watching. For those watching on YouTube and Facebook, you just
heard from doctor Ben Carson, great advocate for Life Act Brain.
So we heard that on the Man in the Arena podcast.
Speaker 5 (35:32):
I was here this week filming some commercials with Jackie
and my daughter, and I got texts and I talked
to him and Canon amazing, like my life is insane.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
Oh, hang on, I have to go speak with doctor
Ben Carson is white.
Speaker 5 (35:51):
It's amazing, right because I'm filming a commercial with my
daughter on the same point is that we made in
our garage thirteen years ago.
Speaker 6 (35:57):
That's now saving four thousand lives.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
Amazing.
Speaker 6 (36:00):
That's what's in your your growing up list.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
But we've said in these circles, we say it a
lot with Brian, and we say it a lot with
Arthur Lee. And the Life BacT circle is so many
pinched me. Yeah, am I dreaming moments? You call them
god wings?
Speaker 6 (36:15):
Yeah, So so today, yes, this has been the best
because of Angel's story, but so on my news Max
and I'm just thinking, and I've been on a bunch
of times, and it's it is what it is there.
News Max and Fox have shown stories about Life Act
and saved lives. There has been no other coverage for
(36:37):
whatever reason.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
But it's a political Yeah, choking is not.
Speaker 6 (36:41):
I don't look at it. I don't even want to
think about. It's too frustrating. But so we don't.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
We don't need to see from slightly miffy.
Speaker 4 (36:48):
Yeah, yeah, you don't need him today.
Speaker 6 (36:50):
All right.
Speaker 5 (36:51):
So I texted Donald and I said, can you tell
me how many lives we were at the first time
I was on news Max three hundred and fifty, three
hundred and fifty lives, and they've had us on a
couple of times a bunch of times, been very supportive
because they care about people being alive.
Speaker 6 (37:09):
What lunatics.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Now we're over four thousand, almost almost thirty five hundred lives,
thirty whatever, almost four thousand lives. Since I was on
the first time they had me up, and I told
the host that because now I kind of know him,
and I goof with him and I stick the life
back on my face and they have to try not
to laugh. And they were grateful because I got the
(37:33):
con Noel. They're great people, both of them, and oh
it was just a cool moment of progress beyond the
media helping, which is kind of what this turned into today.
Thanking Brian, thanking Mike Growth, thanking Joe Piscopal, thanking Devin Norville.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Yeah, if we go back, if we go back to
except Grill and baby Gabriel, who is the patron saying eh,
media right, media, Yeah, so that probably would you know that?
Speaker 5 (37:59):
What's that Gabriel the baby who got us on Inside Edition,
which we was a big media hit both his viral
video of him.
Speaker 6 (38:07):
Being saved in the restaurant.
Speaker 8 (38:09):
He's the name Gabriel's patron saint of media. Come on,
immedia is only like fifty years old.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
Listen, you're the Irish Catholic here, you should. I thought
he's a patron saint of like. No, I don't know,
but that's what I guess.
Speaker 5 (38:23):
Maybe it was called something else then, like, but he
is the patron scene.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
Okay, we're going with me.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
Somewhere it says media but information or something.
Speaker 8 (38:34):
But did you know there was a pope hilarious? No,
it's my son's confirmation day. Yes, yeah, Connor's name is
Connor Richard. Hilarious. Relationship is wrong.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Hilarious became adjective.
Speaker 8 (38:51):
It is because of the hilarious pious There was a
pope and simple man?
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Really yeah that that wasn't involving Leonard Skinner and anyway
simple man.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
No, no, but what were we talking about? That's true,
that's the truth.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
Yes, that's very we were talking about.
Speaker 8 (39:07):
Here you have all this awesome internal pope. Well, I
wanted my son Connor was hilarious and Kevin was next.
I wanted to have him use some plicious. My wife
would let me. Well, he wouldn't rock on a patient
fate of dogs.
Speaker 6 (39:20):
Jaggie wanted Sarah, because then be Sarah Lee.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
That's nobody doesn't nobody doesn't like Sarah.
Speaker 6 (39:29):
That was her boy. How about Bruce, Yeah, I had.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
Jackie Bruce Lee studs.
Speaker 6 (39:37):
I'd yes.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
We're covering it all tonight on the Man in the
arena where uh we were finishing up with Newsmax on
the heels of a monumental trip. We talked about it
last week and Life Act goes to Washington and yeah,
that's a huge arena down there, and I think they
I've said it before. I think the climate is so
favorable and headwinds or well we don't have winds are back.
Speaker 5 (40:05):
We have our super intern here that just made us
our presentation for the veterans, and it is in my
head it came out the way I want right. It
says we owe them, we need to take care of them.
The American Red Cross now says when protocol cannot is.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
Doesn't work, does not work, or it's not feasible.
Speaker 5 (40:27):
The ADA says they earned they deserve a chance, and
we've saved many and we have two saves on it
in the vas so the the full circle we get
to go and say, look, will they deserve a chance.
It's the law, and if it wasn't, we should be
doing it first anyway. And I'm excited and it was
(40:50):
cool that she made that.
Speaker 6 (40:51):
Up for us.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
Do you have like a PowerPoint presentation? You know what
you gotta do.
Speaker 8 (40:55):
You got to find an arena with four people in it,
put it up and go, this is what we've saved.
Speaker 6 (41:01):
Yeah, that's kind of what the whole saves is to No,
I agree. How about this? Three thousand kids?
Speaker 4 (41:09):
Yeah? Even better? Right, that's what I mean.
Speaker 6 (41:11):
How six with that?
Speaker 8 (41:12):
You was saying before, they're not Republicans, Democrats their kids
right everyone?
Speaker 6 (41:15):
You know, that's the point.
Speaker 5 (41:16):
And I remember when Jackie graduated and I was counting
right because I was getting that right. When you sit
there graduation two and a half hours Bill Johnson, Wi Johnson.
We didn't even cover a third and we watched all
those kids go, well, you know, And that's another way
of saying the significance of that picture versus the number.
Speaker 4 (41:39):
You know, someday it's going to be like Michigan Stadium
one hundred thousand.
Speaker 6 (41:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (41:44):
Take an aerial view. We've saved this many people.
Speaker 11 (41:46):
Yea.
Speaker 4 (41:48):
And headwinds planes always take off into the wind.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
But headwinds. See headwinds, but we want the window life.
Speaker 5 (41:57):
Yeah, kind of always come up with from that to
the weather analogies when died our back, Yes, storm hilarious,
that's fascinating.
Speaker 6 (42:11):
So we also got Department uh.
Speaker 3 (42:13):
Pat patent office. It follows the theme that I always say,
like when people are saying, you know where you should be,
you should be here anywhere where food is eating. And
if you talk about Washington, d C. And all the
government agent that cover everything, we have so many people
to talk to down there, including the va Ice.
Speaker 4 (42:30):
Well, the big battle and patent of course is a big.
Speaker 6 (42:33):
Well I on this Apartment of Justice because they could
do something that would and maybe it's a it's a
god wink that we are in this position, but you know,
knockoffs are your problem. You got to go after them
that you know they violate your patent and your responsibility.
In our case, all those products on Amazon are legal
and nothing to do with us as not even though
(42:55):
they steal my image. They still are product, they still
are everything, but they were illegal. So and the problem
with the valve and the handle is going to kill someone.
So we have to we have to try. We have
to try and uh, you know, bring it to light.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Bring it to light, and much like raising awareness of
the device itself, raising awareness of the darker side law
of the market.
Speaker 5 (43:20):
Law and the danger connected to the law. I mean,
you know, well we're hopeful, right, we're hopeful. And then
meeting with the patent office hopeful. You know, I can
go that way, but we'll know and we'll talk about it.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
And we're not going alone. We're bringing Mike to Bellow.
Speaker 6 (43:35):
We cannot lose. We lose.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
He's got our he's got our legal back. It's going
to be awesome. So that's next Wednesday, the next time
we have this show, the Man in the Arena, we
will be able to report back out on the success. Yeah,
not about you know, what went wrong?
Speaker 4 (43:54):
What where the fire extinguisher? There should be a light back.
Speaker 8 (44:00):
Wherever there's a What are those hard things now that
they have it all the baseball.
Speaker 6 (44:05):
The hard thing?
Speaker 9 (44:06):
Yeah one?
Speaker 6 (44:12):
Or the one?
Speaker 3 (44:14):
Yeah no, the bug thing? He said, I thought you.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
That one too. Don't lick those?
Speaker 6 (44:21):
Yeah? Oh my god?
Speaker 4 (44:23):
What is that should be?
Speaker 10 (44:25):
Like?
Speaker 6 (44:25):
Those are fun though, you chase people with the yeah.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
Illegals here again?
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Well you are you were listening to the high drinks
of the Life Act team. Arthur Lee, ceo inventor Paddle
Ork is here with us, and I'm Rick Thatcher, and
we're going to be back with of course mister three thousand.
Mister three thousand, Ray breeb Kid Coral, Florida is going
to talk to us about all the great statistics from
(44:54):
Saves this week, So we're going to be back right
after this.
Speaker 8 (44:58):
So I'm saying last week was so four twenty nine.
Speaker 11 (45:16):
I was in the living room when I heard my
son Carter, who was two at the time. I looked
over and I saw him grabbing for his face in
his rope. I grab a life back. I put the
mask on his face and placed push Paul the lighte
back dislodged the ice cube from his airway. He started
crying the most amazing sound I've ever heard in my
(45:37):
entire life. Please protect your family, get a life back.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
Man in the arena, I'm still Ric Thatcher along with
Arthur Lee and Paddle Rourke. We have been talking about
our trip to Washington, which is coming up only a
week away, and then show on the heels of that.
Oh yeah, we talked to Angel and Ryan Warner, who
teamed up to save the life on the road. He's
(46:09):
out for the rest of the year. He's on the road.
We have his parents here. They're concerned about the amount
of travel.
Speaker 6 (46:17):
Radio voice sad road Show.
Speaker 4 (46:19):
Ryan, he will not be home. Yeah, he's out.
Speaker 3 (46:23):
Saving the live from the carrier Dome road Show Ryan.
So yeah, I mean we check in with road Show.
But who we do check in with every week? We
don't talk to road Show enough. But Raye preeby mister
three thousand. Let's let's no further Ado, Let's get to
mister three thousand.
Speaker 9 (46:48):
There he is the arena.
Speaker 6 (46:50):
Hey, mister three.
Speaker 9 (46:55):
My favorite people in New York doing tonight?
Speaker 1 (46:57):
Well be good.
Speaker 4 (46:58):
You know how many people that you know.
Speaker 9 (46:59):
And listen all I do know? Angel, Really I'm supposed
to follow up to that story. What a story, Angel,
If you're still watching, God bless you. What an amazing,
amazing story you have.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (47:15):
I was I was sitting there looking at you and him,
and I'm like, oh, bless the wee man. Just to
look at that and see you and how you've you've
come on to help others, And here he is telling
that tough story to help others.
Speaker 6 (47:29):
It was pretty powerful. Moment.
Speaker 9 (47:31):
You know, I'm not gonna lie. I was listening to
his story. I was cheering up a little bit. Yeah
it was powerful.
Speaker 6 (47:38):
Yeah, it's amazing.
Speaker 9 (47:40):
Yeah, unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
Reminds of your story and your beautiful daughter and your
heroic work.
Speaker 9 (47:48):
Yes, uh, you know, it's and it's funny that you
say we're heroes and this and that, but uh, you know,
I don't really think we are. You know, we we
are people, and that's why we are here. We're here
together to help help one another. And when people go
and help each other, we're called heroes, but we're really not.
(48:09):
We're just we're just for people helping other people's ray.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
Do you remember that quote that you had in the
news story, because it struck me where there was a
moment of I don't know about doubt of humanity, but
where you said people don't usually care or remember lividly.
Speaker 6 (48:27):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (48:27):
Yeah, because again, when for those who are just tuning
in don't know my story, I'm mister three thousand. I
saved my daughter on a Florida road coming home from
a birthday party. She was choking on a piece of
candy in the backseat of our car. Pulled over in
the process, two other motorists stopped who happened to have
(48:49):
the life back. Also apparently they did see me performing
back close to my daughter that were unsuccessful, so they
stopped to help in any way, which in today's world
is unfortunate. There's gonna be more people that drive by
than than the people that stop the help. But there
are good Samaritans out there, such as Angel.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
Absolutely.
Speaker 6 (49:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (49:12):
But you know what, that's hopeful, stuffy and the fame
that I still get chills that his wife who's going
to have a baby says I have to go help.
I mean, it's just a it's a good thing for
people to hear and to know and to restore faith
in each other.
Speaker 9 (49:30):
Humanity is still alive. Yeah, baby, absolutely.
Speaker 4 (49:35):
So what numbers you have for us this week?
Speaker 9 (49:38):
He got a great number, And I got a story
for you guys.
Speaker 7 (49:41):
Oh.
Speaker 9 (49:42):
I don't think it's gonna beat Angels, but it's a
it's a pretty good story, Bobby, Go and roll those
numbers between.
Speaker 4 (49:48):
There we go. Totalized day.
Speaker 8 (49:53):
Four thousands, I have fifty one.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
Eight children saved.
Speaker 9 (50:01):
That is the graphic, or thousand, two thousand, four hundred
and eighty eight children to date, let's just throw some
numbers out there, guys. I love numbers. And here we go,
two hundred and seven days since I saved my little girl,
one thousand and fifty three saves in two hundred and
(50:23):
seven days. I mean, let's just think about it. Today
is the fifteenth Cinco de Mayo was our big day
of four thousand. So in ten days we have fifty
three saves just in the last ten days. This week alone,
twenty eight saves this week. The great numbers, great numbers.
Speaker 5 (50:45):
Well quick, I know you're going to tell the best
one of the best parts save of the week. But
I was getting ready for something and oh, someone posted
one hundred live save shirt, you know, and they said
how much they appreciate it was, and Kathy, she'll get it.
So I looked and it took us six years to
(51:07):
save one hundred lives.
Speaker 6 (51:08):
Six years.
Speaker 4 (51:09):
Yes, now we do.
Speaker 6 (51:11):
It in under a month. Yeah, I thought you would
dig that.
Speaker 9 (51:14):
Ray.
Speaker 6 (51:14):
I'll get you a one hundred lives save shirt just
so you have a I did.
Speaker 9 (51:18):
I did see that on Facebook and I looked at
and it's like, wow, one hundred saves.
Speaker 6 (51:23):
And six years.
Speaker 9 (51:25):
The link that you that life back has gone uh,
since that shirt.
Speaker 3 (51:30):
I like the pictures of you, Arthur in front of
the early Halisavis pictures where there there's a smattering of pictures.
But but to look on your face of pride, it
can only be you know what it has to be
now to look at what's behind us?
Speaker 4 (51:46):
Time?
Speaker 9 (51:48):
Ye you guys ready for this?
Speaker 1 (51:50):

Speaker 9 (51:51):

just reported. So again, folks, if you use your life back,
please report it. You get a new one for free.

Michigan choked on a chicken tender outside of Popeye's restaurant.
The patient was unconscious and like that was these two
times here the details gets married and who helped save
the childlife? His father got Hi Popeye chicken Christmas see,
(52:33):
and you happen to be in the same parking lot.
The man ran up to us with his life.

quick and we'll because something just happened to the audio
and I'd hate to miss any of the details of
this story. Would you be able to call in real
quick or give it one more try's.

Speaker 9 (53:01):
Maybe I just need to lower my voice. I get
really hyped up to.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
Do more about that later.
Speaker 9 (53:09):
All right, here we go. The man ran up to
us with his lifeless son and told us he was
choking on a piece of chicken.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
I jumped up.
Speaker 9 (53:18):
He grabbed my life back from the back seats, laid
him on the ground, and began the recovery process of
retrieving the chicken that was waged in his throat. When
I rubbed this check he came to a little bit
but wasn't good at and much air. But after two
times with the light back, he started speaking and breathing.
(53:38):
I stayed with him till ems and police a rot
and they cleared him to be Okay. Had we not
been there, that boy could have died just about there,
had no phone and had no idea how to lodge
the food.
Speaker 4 (53:54):
Think you was like that?
Speaker 6 (53:56):
And that was Christmas Day, that Christmas Eve. Oh God,
imagine that.
