Etwa 30 Menschen kamen in einer Septembernacht in das Pflegeheim. Es waren ehemalige Schüler mit einem gefährlichen Plan. Sie wollten drei Nonnen retten.
Die Schüler halfen den älteren Schwestern in die Autos. Dann fuhren sie durch die Dunkelheit zum Schloss Goldenstein. Nach zwei langen Jahren fuhren die Nonnen endlich nach Hause.
Aber es gab ein Problem. Kirchenvertreter hatten alles abgeschlossen. Das Tor des Schlosses war fest zu. Wie sollten sie hineinkommen?
"Ruft einen Schlosser", sagte Schwester Bernadette. Innerhalb einer Stunde kam ein Fachmann. Er öffnete das Tor. Die Nonnen gingen durch die Tür in ihr Zuhause.
"Das ist kein Einbruch", erklärte Schwester Bernadette später. "Wir haben ein Recht dazu. Das ist kein Verbrechen." Ihre Stimme war stark und klar.
Drinnen fanden sie Leere. Die Räume waren kahl. Es gab keinen Strom und kein fließendes Wasser. Jemand hatte sogar den Treppenlift an der Treppe entfernt.
Aber Schwester Bernadette lächelte trotzdem. "Wir sind endlich wieder zu Hause – es fühlt sich himmlisch an", sagte sie. Die drei Nonnen waren endlich frei.

About 30 people arrived at the care home one September night. They were former students with a dangerous plan. They were going to rescue three nuns.
The students helped the elderly sisters into cars. Then they drove through the dark to Goldenstein Castle. After two long years, the nuns were finally going home.
But there was a problem. Church officials had locked everything. The castle gate was closed tight. How would they get inside?
"Call a locksmith!" Sister Bernadette said. Within an hour, a professional came. He opened the gate. The nuns walked through the door into their home.
"It's not a break-in," Sister Bernadette explained later. "We have a legal right. This is not a crime." Her voice was strong and clear.
Inside, they found emptiness. The rooms were bare. There was no electricity or running water. Someone had even removed the stairlift for the stairs.
But Sister Bernadette smiled anyway. "We are finally back home—it feels heavenly," she said. The three nuns were free at last.
