(06:09):

Talk to the Lord.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Day.
Speaker 15 (06:20):
Thank you so much for having me. I'm really excited
to be here and share this conversation with your listeners
and man.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Before we continue with our interview and discussion, please briefly
describe the story of your life.
Speaker 15 (06:41):
Well, I guess from the start, my music was in
My music was just in my DNA, growing up surrounded
by gospel harmonies and the heartbeat of the community. I
discovered early on that my voice and my vision were
gifts meant to serve something bigger than just myself. And
so my journey just took me from the church choirs
(07:05):
to professional stages where my talent caught the attention of
industry greats.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
But while music gave.
Speaker 15 (07:12):
Me a platform, I realized my calling was deeper and
my you know, my calling is to uplift, inspire and
this empower people both spiritually and practically. And you know,
that's that's my kind of brief, you know, story of
you know, I've just been raising it from a young
age man, grew up being you know, around my family
(07:34):
and we all were in music, and we've just been
at it and we're just passionate about what God God
is doing and we want to be to do our
part in order to influence to keep them.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Aymen, and brother merle tell the Kingdom where and when
Christ found you and share a little of your journey
to relationship with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Yes.
Speaker 15 (08:00):
Yes, Actually I started at an early age. You know,
I was you know, my parents. My father's a pastor
and my mother you know, first lady, and you know,
I was pretty much born into you know, raised in
the church. And so I received CHRISTI as my personal
savior at the age of seven years old. And from
that early age, you know, I remember, you know, my
(08:24):
mother talking to me in the way that I could
understand and explaining to me what that entails and what
that was all about. And so I'm was fortunate to
uh to accept Christ, you know, at an early age
and was raised in church. And doesn't make me perfect,
but you know, I've always, you know, my whole life
(08:45):
have been in an area of wanting to please Him
and to you know, as I was learning about life,
I was able to have that example around me my
entire life of how to you know, just grow or
grow up and really make Jesus important and make hold
(09:07):
them up in my life as I went through my
situations in life. So that's how I met him at
an early age. And ever since i've you know, I've
at a young age, we inspire other young people to
have also get that relationship with them.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
So that's that's how my journey started.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
And what is your calling and purpose to the Body
of Christ and in the Kingdom of God?
Speaker 15 (09:36):
Yeah, I you know what, I believe. You know, that's
a good question. You know, I talked about that and
you know, just earlier just about when you know about
how you know, I grew up and it felt like
it was in my DNA, you know. But I feel
like my calling really is to really uplift and to
(10:00):
really inspire.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
I try to.
Speaker 15 (10:01):
Tell people that, you know, sometimes you know, you carry
I just posted as a few minutes, if not too
long ago, about you.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Know, caring a gift.
Speaker 15 (10:12):
Sometimes the gifts comes with a cost, and sometimes that cost,
you know, may not always.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Grant you the most friends in the world.
Speaker 15 (10:24):
But the cost, but also the gift also has an
area where it helps to inspire many and sometimes you know,
that's I feel that's why I'm here. I'm here to
inspire people, to push them closer to Christ or just
just you know, both spiritually and just even practically, for
(10:46):
what people can understand that, Wow, today, I want to
smile today. I feel like I can make it through
the day. Or I'm aware of the situation that I'm
in is there's nothing too hard for God.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
I can I can make it.
Speaker 15 (10:58):
If my song helps you realize that it helps you
get through another day or put a smile on your face,
then that's that's why I feel like, you know, God
has placed me in and that's what I've been doing,
and I feel like that's my calling. But I believe
that God is continually what I want to say, growing me,
(11:20):
and you know, as I grow more, he opens that
calling to other things. And I'm just trying to stay
in tune with Him so that I can just be
able to do whatever He needs me to do for
the time and at any time and in the right season.
You know so, But uh, I think it all still
fits under Uplifting, Inspire and Empowering.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
People, Man and Kingdom. I will be interviewing Brother Murrow
about the testimony and the story behind the song Pleasing
You Kingdom. To please God means we live by.
Speaker 14 (12:02):
Faith in God.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
It means we are fruitful and spiritually minded. It means
we have honor, respect, and fear and.
Speaker 14 (12:11):
Reverence of God.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
It means we study and follow Christ's example. It means
we have repented of our sins and has received Christ
Jesus Yesuah as savior and Lord. It means we are
obedient to God and we endeavor to please, to do
nothing but God's will. It also means we strive to
(12:35):
please and trust in God and that He is a
rewarder to them who diligently seek Him. And when we
please God, it causes us to live our lives in
serventhood to others kingdom in accordance to pleasing God Jesus.
(12:55):
It involves love, and we live a life of love,
love that reflects God's goodness Kingdom. We obey Yeshuah Jesus,
obeying his commands and respecting his authority as our Christ
and honoring his name not just by verbal expressions, but
(13:20):
in the way in which we live, and we treat
each other with respect and a life of ministry in
relationship with God through Christ. So, brother Morell, please tell
your testimony and share your story behind your song Pleasing God.
Speaker 15 (13:43):
You know, I think I just I was at a
time where, you know, you know, I've been let down
by in relationships and people and things. And I start
to look back at my life and I say, hey, wow,
you know, I spent a lot.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Of time.
Speaker 15 (14:00):
Trying to please many other people, trying to please a man,
trying to you know, trying to please.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
So many different people.
Speaker 15 (14:08):
And I will look back and say and look at
and see exactly how many times in life the outcome
will just be the same. And so, you know, I
begin to sit down and I just begin to you know,
get my notepad and get by the keyboard, and I
just start getting the words to the song. And I
(14:30):
just realized, you know, you know, when you hit a
certain area and you hit certain you know, whether you
consider the tragedy or not, whatever it is you're going through,
you know, I've been here before, you know, or or
haven't been here. You know, you realize you've been there before,
but then because it's a new situation, you haven't been
(14:50):
there in a sense. And so you know, when you
listen through the whole outcome of what you're going through,
you realize that.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
You know.
Speaker 15 (14:59):
The ant it was that I should have been pleasing
God from the start, because if I had pleased if
I had to start started my whole life really pleasing him,
everything else will fall in place, yes, and not put
put him, you know. Just so that's how that song
came about. It was a rough situation that I was
going through, and and you know, I just start having
(15:22):
that conversation with God that from the start, you know,
and then at that point I start to make a
viol to him that you know that you know, from
here this time on, I promised to love you. I've
promised to put you first, and I cherish every moment
with you, and you know, so it was like a
love song from me to God and saying that, hey,
(15:44):
from this time forth, you know, hey, from this time forward,
I'm going to be pleasing you. And ever since I've
been doing that, He's always secured me in every area,
even when it comes to other relationships with man. When God,
when you're pleasing him, he sets the.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Presence over everything.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
And brother Murel, please tell the kingdom the benefits you
just said a few, but name some more of the
benefits with pleasing God.
Speaker 15 (16:17):
Oh Man, you got all day. Yeah, man, it's it's
it's the best. I mean, I guess let's first say
what divine favor?
Speaker 1 (16:30):
You know, you know, when a.
Speaker 15 (16:32):
Man's ways pleases the Lord, he basically even his enemies
to be at peace and you know with him, and
so just I mean divine favor you God favor is
just like no other. Yeah, that's the benefit, you know,
I would say spiritual protection. You know, God becomes your defender,
(16:56):
you know, showing you from the tax meant to harm you.
You know, you you out here and there's a lot
of things that come to you and come your way
that's meant to do you harm.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
But God, you know that that.
Speaker 15 (17:08):
Protection is is you know, it's it's definitely a benefit,
uh answer prayers. Those who walk in obedience positions themselves
to receive what they ask according to His will, which
stated in you know first John, you know, and then
there's a I consider this very important inner peace and joy.
(17:34):
You know, that inner peace that even when things are
not good around you, you feel you still feel peace
and you feel that joy. And so you know, pleasing
God just aligns your heart with his and it brings
a deep, unshakable peace that circumstances just can't steal, you know,
(17:59):
kingdom provision, you know, when you seek to please them first,
like I said before, all your needs are met according
to his richest.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
You know.
Speaker 15 (18:09):
Then there's the uh which a lot of people don't
think about. There's an eternal reward, you know. Pleasing God's
stores up treasures in heaven, you know, and it secures
what we want to hear, Well done, good and faithful servant.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yes, and uh.
Speaker 15 (18:25):
Yeah, I think I'm a stop after this one.
Speaker 14 (18:28):
Uh.
Speaker 15 (18:29):
Influence and impact. I think a life that pleases Gods
becomes a light to others. And I think that's what
we need to always be a light to the world.
And you know, light in the dark area. It's like
it continues to draw others towards the Kingdom.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
A man and kingdom has brother the world has just
talked about. Pleasing God declares divine favor in our lives
and the means we walk in alignment with God's will Kingdom.
There are some characters' references that I would like to
(19:10):
share that implemented what it means to please God. We
have Noah, who was a righteous man in an evil
and wicked generation. There is Abraham, our father of faith.
There is Joseph, who went from slaves to a ruler.
(19:30):
There is Moses, who led humbly the children of Israel,
and David, a man after God's own heart, Queen after
the Queen who brought deliverance to her people, married the
chosen mother of our savior. And there is Jesus. He
(19:53):
is the highest. He is the ultimate sacrifice of becoming
human flesh and dying on the cross of Calvary. He
is the most highest and the ultimate example of pleasing
God and God's divine favor. So, brother Mourel, please share
(20:16):
a testimony from your own life experiences when you please
God and experience his divine favor.
Speaker 15 (20:28):
Oh wow, so many, But let me I can go
back to this one. I'm I believe you know, I
always talk about this. I even have a son on
This is when God brought me through a situation in
my life when I had to undergo open heart surgery
(20:49):
and it was a very pivoted you know, an area
in my life where you know, I never experienced anything
like that. You know, I went through, you know that
situation where my heart was just going it was being
so fast, and you know it was out of rhythm,
and the doctors could not you know, didn't know what
was going on. And at some point, you know, I
(21:12):
just to get to pray to God, and you know,
when they decided they was going to give me an
electric shock, the doctor left the room and God just automatically,
I felt my heart just jumping back into rhythm. And
you know, I think that whole situation that when I
went through that whole situation, I was really not going
(21:33):
through it myself. I went through it with God and
I put that trust in him because of it.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
They went in and.
Speaker 15 (21:40):
They they discovered that it wasn't just one hole, but
I had several holes in my heart. And you know,
so God brought me through that situation.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
He you know, they had had that surgery.
Speaker 15 (21:56):
And you know, I believe that sometimes you know, God
will be there, but when you trust Him and go
through go through your situations and and and and trust him,
your outcome becomes greater. And when I tell you after
having that, yeah, after going through that and going through
that whole situation.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
My life, when I tell.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
You I.
Speaker 15 (22:22):
Have been you know so, I mean I did everything
from martial arts to full court basketball too. I mean
my life had been as normal and healthy, and you know,
I give God the praise for that because you know,
you know, I believe that he's you know, he's pleased
whenever we know that He's our source.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
And I I couldn't depend on anybody but Him at
the time.
Speaker 15 (22:49):
And I think that, you know, I've been able to
tell my testimony around the world and and so I
owe that situation. You know, I'm part of who I
am through that struggle, and so I thank God for that.
So that's my testimony. I believe one of my testimonies
and kingdom.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
Except for Jesus, none on my list of biblical characters
were perfect individuals, but with the help of God, discipline
their lives, which is a character of pleasing God. Finally,
Brother Morrow, take just a couple of minutes to exhorte
(23:33):
and encourage our listeners to also live a life that
is pleasing to God.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Family, hear me.
Speaker 15 (23:45):
Let me tell you there is no higher calling, no
greater joy, and no richer reward than living a life
that pleases God. You know, when when your heart is
set on honoring him, you know he orders your steps,
surrounds you with favor, and gives you peace this world
(24:06):
can't take away, you know, And no matter what you're
going through, when you're in His peace, it's none like it.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
You know. Don't live for the applause, the faides.
Speaker 15 (24:18):
You know, you know, live for the well done that
echoes and eternity. You know, every choice you make today
can either draw you closer.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
To Him or pull you away.
Speaker 15 (24:31):
So choose the path that makes Heaven smile and watch
how your life transform. You know, take me for example,
I can tell you from experience, you know. You know,
pleasing God isn't just worth it.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
It's everything.
Speaker 15 (24:48):
And if He has done so much, just like he's
done so much for me, he can do the same
and will do the same for you.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
A man, a man and a man again. Brother, tomorrow,
please briefly tell the kingdom a little bit about your song.
Good Day.
Speaker 15 (25:12):
Yes, good good Day is I say, is an uplifting,
high energy anthem. You know that that reminds listeners every
day is a good day, and when you walk with God,
every day is a good day. The song kind of
radiates gratitude and praise from the very first note.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
To me, it's.
Speaker 15 (25:35):
It's like a celebration of God's goodness, A call to
shift your focus from problems to promises and a declaration
that no matter what comes today of what comes your way,
today is going to be a good day.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
