powerful new single Kingdom Listeners. With his unmatched vocal talent

(05:31):
and a renewed purpose, Keith Mitchell invites the listeners into
a worship experience that transsinds music. Doctor Keith Mitchell, Welcome
to Let's Talk to the Lord.

Speaker 12 (05:47):
Well, thank you, John, that was an amazing introduction.

Speaker 10 (05:52):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 12 (05:53):
I am certainly glorifying praising the Lord for all that
he's been doing in my life, and I'm very gracious
that you would afford me the opportunity to speak with
your listeners and followers and give them a chance to
get acquainted with my music ministry who Keith Mitchell really
is because a lot of listeners over the years have

(06:15):
just kind of seen me perhaps on stage, heard my
voice in the blend between Kevin and Melvin, and may
not have really gotten the opportunity to know who I
was as a vocalist. But this is giving me a
platform for people to get to know who I am
and to know that I am currently following nothing but

(06:37):
the righteousness of who God is and hit the path
of light through music and ministry of the Word of
God to my listeners.

Speaker 11 (06:47):
And before we continue our interview and discussion, in your
own words, briefly describe the story of your life.

Speaker 12 (07:03):
Wow, that's a huge question on your part, John, But
the story of my life, you know, pretty much as
I was told At the young age of six weeks old,
my mother discovered that I had spoken some spoken words
to her, and I like for the audience to understand.

(07:24):
At this point, my mother had already raised three kids.
I was six weeks old when she heard me, laying
in a crip, cry out to her that I was
walking in the light, and it alarmed her. She screamed
back at me and said, boy, what did you say?
And I said it again, I'm walking in the light,

(07:44):
and of course, a young mother of three at that point,
an infant talking is quite an alarming experience, and she
said she ran over to me, wrapped me up in blankets,
ran down the street to one of her girlfriend and says, listen,
I'm hey girl, I am scared of this child.

Speaker 10 (08:04):
This baby's talking.

Speaker 12 (08:06):
And so that story has followed me my entire life
through now my brother and my sisters, who had experienced,
you know, my mother's experience from another room or around
the corner, but they experienced it, and they've told that

(08:26):
story to me as I've grown.

Speaker 10 (08:29):
Pruoffully quite a few years of life.

Speaker 12 (08:33):
But I must admit that my life has seemingly always
had a light on my path. Did I always make
the right turn left or right following the lead of God?
Perhaps I'm sure I didn't, because He affords us free
moral will. And of course I haven't lived a perfect

(08:57):
life in the life of Christ, in loving and learning
about Christ.

Speaker 10 (09:01):
But I can truly say.

Speaker 12 (09:03):
That the pathway that God has laid out for me
has always put me in a great situation where if
I made a mistake, I was nimble enough to bob
and we even then stand back up and you know,
follow a pathway that led me away from from darkness, pain, suffering,

(09:27):
doing without and mind you you know, my mother had
a license daycare in her home.

Speaker 10 (09:34):
She was not rich.

Speaker 12 (09:34):
My father was a letter carrier, so our family did
not grow up rich. But I can truly say their
hard work and their dedication to us as young kids,
their efforts to make sure that we knew who Jesus
Christ was in our life, and that source, being the
guide arm in all of us, was the beacon of

(09:58):
what kept us safe, what kept us from hurt, harm, danger,
getting a little trouble, but not a lot of trouble.
But that all goes back to the spiritual side of
who God is, who he was in my mother's life,
and my mother's commitment to making sure that all five

(10:21):
of her kids before she passed away, had a relationship
with God, knew about the Word of God, knew right
from wrong, knew darkness from light, and had this great
relationship as human beings facing the earth. So that time
period in my life spanned about seven years. So from

(10:43):
the age of seven I was baptizing Jesus's name, I
teared and I received the gift of the Holy Ghost
and the church that I was involved in. This was
back in Indianapolis, Indiana. The name of that church was
Science Tabernacle. And as you know, young kids, my brother

(11:04):
and my two sisters at that point, my youngest sister
wasn't born yet, but the four of us went to
church regularly, learned different songs that the choir would sing
that they would have programs for the youth youth adult participation,

(11:26):
and we would learn those songs. In over a period
of time, we learned some of those songs and as
a group a family brother, two brothers, two guys, and
two girls, we would present ourselves to the congregation as
the Stars of Zion. That was the name of what
we called ourselves, and we would get in front of

(11:46):
the church and we would sing songs. So that was
my initial introduction into the music of God and the
presentation of God to God.

Speaker 10 (11:59):
And to audiences. Of my love and passion that developed
for music.

Speaker 12 (12:04):
So from that experience the Stars of Zion, maybe around
age of twelve, at the same church, I was, you know,
an active young Christian in the church, and I was
asked to be the director of a young adult choir
where I was asked to lead songs as well as

(12:26):
to physically stand up in front of the choir and
direct the choir in their importation of the Word through music.
And you know, I developed a passionate love for harmony.
Of course, by being that close to the rehearsing of
those presentations and being a part of them, you develop

(12:48):
a love and a passion for harmony, and you know,
just singing the praises of God. And so you know,
I was a little guy out front with the white robe.
The rest of the choir head red robe. I had
the red lapel and everybody else had the white lapel.

Speaker 10 (13:06):
So it was.

Speaker 12 (13:09):
A point in my life that certainly afforded me the
opportunity to get past being shy, being bashfulk I took
on the responsibility of leadership in church at a young age.
So also in doing so, you got to understand you're
going to church at this point, you know, four or five,

(13:32):
six times a week, and you're being dipped in the
word of God at a young age of seven. You
have to say, Wow, did you really get understanding? I'm
here to tell you no, I didn't. But I did
develop a love and a passion for church, which is
all centered around the love of God, the Spirit of God,

(13:53):
and the Word of God. So you get dripped on,
you get dipped into the spirit of God. Prayers are
prayed on your life. God's annoying will come over your
life when you're in a house of praise continually where
He is the focal point, and your experience there is

(14:15):
learning about Him and grasping the essence of what the
Church represents an individual as well as collectively. So it
was an amazing experience that has that protection, that anointing,
those prayers. Doing that seven year span from age seven
to fourteen, it was a life of Christ and living

(14:38):
a Christ's life life as a young kid. When I
got around fifteen to sixteen, of course, high school comes up.
I started going to high school, and I start experiencing
more worldly activities, more worldly things that you can get
into you learn about. Up to then, I'm almost like

(15:01):
a choir boy. I was opening the doors of the church,
because before I quit going to church so often, I
was actually unlocking the doors to the church. And so
you know, people in the church. It probably would have
thought I would have been a preacher, but you know
that obviously wasn't where God needed me to be and

(15:24):
he allowed me to.

Speaker 10 (15:25):
Make some choices too.

Speaker 12 (15:27):
But once I got more worldly around more worldly minded
people who behaved in different ways, of course, it affected
my focus on Christ. And so I like to make
people understand that, you know, we don't.

Speaker 10 (15:43):
Walk away from Christ.

Speaker 12 (15:45):
We start will fall astray from the teachings and the
con teachings of the Word of God. It should be
a twenty four seven three sixty five. That is who
we are and who were striving to be. Can we
do it all the time? No, but the focus of

(16:06):
our lives should be there. And it's difficult when the world,
or Satan or the devil, these negative forces of life
are out here and you're faced with the ability to
be a part of it or to pull in a
different direction. But I was exposed to it like every
other human is, and those things guided me away from

(16:30):
the teachings of God. So I fell astray from the
teaching of the Lord. I ain't walk away from him,
and he never will walk away from you. He'll wait
on you to decide that you want to hold his
hand and allow him to guide you. And my experiences
in Christ is full of those episodes in my life
where God was allowing me to make a choice. He's

(16:53):
trying to take me to go in one direction. I
was choosing to go in another direction. But I know
he never left me because that the same light. When
I say that I was walking in the light when
I was seven years old, it's the same light that
has continually been at force in my spiritual walk, in

(17:14):
my love walk in life.

Speaker 10 (17:17):
It hasn't changed.

Speaker 12 (17:19):
And I know people will ask a lot of questions, so, well,
how can you go from singing the love songs and
then come over to Christ. Well, it's very easy for
me to understand that because the love in a relationship,

(17:39):
which is primarily what after seven saying about, is different
aspects of the things that we all go through in
establishing a loving relationship with a partner, and we always
did it in a rather respectable way. But at the
end of the day, the word love is God and

(18:04):
God is the representation of love. So no matter if
you were singing about the relationship of a man and
a woman and that man in a woman relationship is
centered around love, well, the line is so thin between
are you are you glorifying.

Speaker 10 (18:24):
The sexual aspects of a relationship or you.

Speaker 12 (18:27):
Talking about the emotions and the ups and downs and
how difficult it is to maintain a loving, lasting friendship, lovingship.
And if that relationship is bound by love, then that
means bound by God, which is nothing the same. It's
the same God that's in your life when you just

(18:50):
being yourself, and it's the same God that's in your
person that you're loving. That's the same God that is
loving on them. And if two people or striving to
be in love, we sang about it, and we made
it a situation more of a teaching and guiding aspect

(19:11):
of how Aftra sevens approached to a clean and healthy
relationship of love.

Speaker 10 (19:17):
Where now what.

Speaker 12 (19:18):
I'm doing with the Word of God is I have
the privilege now to share with people something that I
knew when I was seven years old. That God and
the Spirit of God is the same spirit that is
in Him, is what he put in his son Jesus Christ.
That same spirit that dwells in God and dwells in

(19:43):
his son Jesus Christ, it's the same spirit that's in
me and in you. Now, whether or not you are
a believer, that is another one of those free moral
will things that you can choose to to see whether
it's true or not, or you just go on your

(20:05):
path by yourself. But for me, I'm a believer. I've
been a believer my whole life. So even though I
may have been singing love songs, I still believe in
that God and love is the same thing. I still
believe that when you read the Bible, if you substitute
the word God and you put love in the same
place where you see God, the text is gonna read

(20:28):
the same, The definition is gonna still be the same.
And when you believe and you're convicted by something, it
doesn't take you away from your love and passion of God.

Speaker 10 (20:38):
It's just you don't let.

Speaker 12 (20:40):
These false things you know be your false sense of
who God is and knowing who God is. So I've
always known that clear and clear since I can remember,
and that has been the guiding force in everything that
I do. So when you saw me dancing and singing
ready and Not, I don't give you as a thing

(21:03):
the same love and passion I had for sharing the
experience of a song like ready or Not. It's the
same passion that I'm given for the love of God.
Only thing different is God is our creator. God is
the ultimate of everything that we do in our life.
In John One, it says, in the beginning the Word

(21:26):
was the Word was God, and the Word was God
the same in the beginning. With God, all things were
made by Him, and without him was not anything made
that was made. So I'm just sure to say that
that's where my heart is, that's where my soul is,

(21:50):
is convicted by the word of God. And regardless that
I had made a choice to walk away from singing
about love and God in a man and woman's life,
now I'm ready to sing to the people and sing
to everybody so that you are day to day, our

(22:10):
to our My music can be a tool in your
life to give you guidance toward to light, to give
you guidance towards the truth, and to seek understanding and
then understand the sacrifice that He made, the blood that
he shed to give us the righteousness of who we are,

(22:30):
and start to learn about who we are, what we
have a right to, who has authority over our life,
and certainly our mission is to dwell with Him and
other saints in the Kingdom of God.

Speaker 10 (22:45):
So that's that's a little bit of who I am.
I'm sure.

Speaker 12 (22:50):
Hopefully I got near to answering that question for you.

Speaker 10 (22:54):
Who is keeping menchell and what is guided my life?

Speaker 12 (22:58):
That those the things I've just to share with you
are these sustance of who I am, who my music is,
and where my purpose is. Well?

Speaker 13 (23:11):
Well, oh up, today's well so alone, and I.

Speaker 9 (23:26):
Need to be strong.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
Called the Lord.

Speaker 9 (23:32):
He nether things. He's on times all the time. I
begin to pray. I prayed to the Lord. I gave you, ma,
I gave you my these the face something in my life.

Speaker 13 (23:54):
Nothing's missing, nothing's missing, complete restorations.

Speaker 12 (23:59):
But I need this.

(26:56):

Speaker 11 (27:03):
And what is your calling and purpose to the Body
of Christ and the Kingdom of God.

Speaker 10 (27:10):
Well, my.

Speaker 12 (27:13):
Plight is to enlighten those because what I'm singing about
is about different aspects of the Word of God. Because
a lot of the lyrical content in my songs are
pretty much all geared towards lifting his name up, praising him,

(27:36):
exposing people to the things that our minds need to
be focused on more times in our lives than just
when we.

Speaker 10 (27:45):
Go to church on Sunday.

Speaker 12 (27:47):
But having a spiritual song that is laced with the
Word of God.

Speaker 10 (27:51):
I feel like I can give you.

Speaker 12 (27:53):
Some musical aspects and some lyrical content that have that
are based off of the Word of God, lace with
teachings of the Word of God that can provide you
assistance to have more of your focus in life, not
so focused on your everyday life, but have time to

(28:16):
sing along with a song that helps to free you
up from some of the toils and some of the
not so pleasant experiences. And a lot of times music.

Speaker 10 (28:29):
You know, they say music suits a savage, beasts and
every part of humans.

Speaker 12 (28:37):
In every country in what we know is the world,
there is music, and music affects mankind in a particular
way and their feelings. I feel like my music can
be a calming force, can provide guidance, can help you

(28:59):
cleanse your flesh through your praise. You praising and singing
these songs that I wrote will help to release some
of those demons that you.

Speaker 10 (29:12):
May have in your life.

Speaker 12 (29:13):
Because see, when you're praising God and you become convicted
by the word of God, then it takes over and
it will cleanse your heart. It can cleanse your mind,
it can purge you. The music that you're singing is
woven with the Word of God in it, it becomes.

Speaker 10 (29:32):
A powerful force. You know.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
We use jazz music and it calms us.

Speaker 10 (29:40):
In a way.

Speaker 12 (29:41):
The substance of a lyrical in a jazz may not
always have the effects of what the power of the
Word of God will do to you, but it does
something to you in a place in the space. Whether
it's Mozart music or you know, bop Beethoven, whether it's

(30:02):
Kendrick Lamar, whether it's Babyface music, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 10 (30:07):
There's a substance of the music that has a.

Speaker 12 (30:10):
Calming force or a party raise your hands shouts you
want to dance.

Speaker 10 (30:16):
Music has all of these aspects in it that allow.

Speaker 12 (30:20):
Us to have a particular feeling. I just like to
think that my music and my purpose. God came to
me and said that I want to use your life
to show people that you've been with me all the time.
I've never let you go. Keith Mitchell.

Speaker 10 (30:39):
You had a purpose.

Speaker 12 (30:40):
I just allowed you to. You wanted to turn left,
I wanted you to go right. So when you turn
left at Mint, now you got to go over the
hill over the valley. You go back down over here
on the right left. And then I just waited on you.
It took you, Heath, twenty years or so after I
sat down with you. I wrote this music with you.

(31:02):
Because Keith, you never wrote a poem.

Speaker 11 (31:06):
In your life.

Speaker 12 (31:07):
I sat down and the I am talking about his God,
he sat down with me and guided my hand in
writing these songs. And I know it was him because
I didn't have any prior experience. I've never wrote poems.
I wasn't an English major. I wasn't this straight a student.
All these things I've learned on the pathway doing the.

Speaker 10 (31:30):
R and B music. I learned how to obviously have some.

Speaker 12 (31:34):
Aspect of writing a song and then recording the song.
Nobody showed me how to operate pro toos. I was
in a room where pro Tools was being and pro
Tools lady to them and there's a recording device. I
didn't know how to operate that. You know, God that Keith,

(31:55):
go buy the pro tools. I went about the pro tools,
sat down and didn't know how to plug it in,
start it go, none of that. I just seen other
people do it. But I was able to do that,
and I know it wasn't me. God has guided me
so in every aspect of this music, from the writing

(32:17):
the lyrics, from recording the vocals, to being able to
now distribute this music is available on all platforms all
over the world. All of these things are all God's
manipulation of me. What we have to learn how to

(32:37):
do is to sit back, let go, and let God
and believe and have faith that He's going to take over.
And that's what I'm experiencing in this experience from being
in After seven and now doing this solo project. This
is a God takeover for my life.

Speaker 11 (33:00):
Gonna say Humen and Kingdom. I will be interviewing and
discussing with doctor Mitchell from the different aspects of the
Kingdom of God. Kingdom, the Kingdom of God and Christianity
refers to the sovereign rule and reign of God over
all creation. It encompasses God's authority, righteousness, and dominion, and

(33:25):
it shows his active involvement with humankind. God's kingdom refers
both to the realm itself and to the active declaration
of His divine rule over his people. According to John
eighteen thirty six, where Jesus declares, My Kingdom is not

(33:46):
of this world. The aspectations of a divine kingdom sets
the stage for the New Testament revelation of its king, Christ,
our Messiah. Listeners, the Kingdom of God is a theocracy
where God is recognized as the ultimate ruler, and our

(34:08):
Bible is the law and has our policies and procedures,
and God the Holy Spirit is our advocate, lead guide
and comforter. Doctor Mitchell, please describe for the listeners the
moment you knew God was calling you to use your
music for a kingdom impact.

Speaker 12 (34:35):
I'd have to say that when when I first sat
down to write this music, I was in a dark space.
I was going through a divorce. I had recently walked
away from the group.

Speaker 10 (34:50):
After seven.

Speaker 12 (34:53):
I've left the group twice, so this was the first
time that I had walked away.

Speaker 10 (34:57):
From the group.

Speaker 12 (34:58):
So I was feeling in a in a dark space
where I didn't quite understand what direction I was going
to go in. And I would have to say, going
through those two examples of trials and tribulation that it
was the fact that I was attending World Changers Church

(35:21):
International in Atlanta, and I became a member there, and
the teachings of Preflo Dollar were so profound that it
was very easy for me to develop a part of
my existence that didn't have the understanding I knew about Christ.

Speaker 10 (35:40):
I knew I was a believer. I knew I was a.

Speaker 12 (35:43):
Saint, I had been baptized in Jesus's name, I had
spoken tongues, and I put a substantial amount of time
into the development of my spirit in my love walk
with Christ.

Speaker 10 (35:55):
But I did not have understanding.

Speaker 12 (35:57):
And doing those three and a half years that I
experienced with Kreflo going to his church, it opened my
mind and my heart and my spirit to a greater
understanding of who Christ was, what he represents.

Speaker 10 (36:13):
In my life.

Speaker 12 (36:15):
As a result of him being in my life and
me knowing who He was, that he had way more
control over my life than I ever realized. But those
teachings that he spoke about became the substance of the

(36:36):
character of a lot of the songs that I wrote.
So during this period is where the awakening for me came.
When I sat down and started writing these songs, and
then writing the songs with the marrying music with the
lyrical content. And the lyrical content is coming from sermons

(36:57):
and for me taking you know, copious notes, and from
me getting all the scriptures that supported the messages and
the teachings, and Kreslol just had a way of teaching
that it empowers a listener who's paying attention. When they

(37:20):
leave the edifice of world changers, individually.

Speaker 10 (37:24):
You are powered.

Speaker 12 (37:25):
You leave with power, You leave with knowledge, revelation, knowledge,
And that's the part that I hadn't gotten early in
my early.

Speaker 10 (37:34):
Years of going to church.

Speaker 12 (37:38):
But when you get understanding, it empowers you. So that
empowerment is what took over along with my now season
ear as a singer melody. You get to sit and
see songs being developed by great producers Babyface, Geryld Simmons,

(38:02):
La Reid, you know, and a host of other producers
that we've worked with over the years. You get to
see the songs made, but you don't get to participate.
All you just get to do is sing that line,
sing it like this. So but that experience is what
seasoned my ear and my love and my passion for singing.

(38:28):
To the point to where I could put together this
album and I gave it over to God. And my
epiphany at the time was simply if I could take
the word of God, sermon messaging and somehow.

Speaker 10 (38:45):
Marry it with profound musical.

Speaker 12 (38:51):
Track composition, that I thought that would be an amazing tool.
And it's not like I'm doing something that others haven't
done before, But I think my version of it was
it needs to be all about Christ, and then the
music will make younger people listen to it because the

(39:13):
music makes you want to move. And then melody was
something that I've learned over the years singing gospel music
and then singing or R and B music to sing
it in a way that glorifies and magnifies the glory
of God and the message. When somebody else sings it,

(39:39):
it can change their life because you're singing nothing but
praise and worship over the love of God, the blood
of Jesus Christ, the sacrifice that he made, all of
the things that glorify and put godlyness up into a keen.

Speaker 10 (40:00):
The vibe is what I was trying to do with
the music.

Speaker 12 (40:05):
Whether if it was a slow song a mid tempo song,
it didn't matter. I owe him my life is one
of my titles. I Love Him is one of the
titles of the song. I just love to love the Lord.
That means I'm in love with love in Christ and
who he is in my life. He's alive, of course,

(40:28):
the anthem for your belief and your passion and your
love for who Jesus was. He's alive.

Speaker 10 (40:36):
That spirit is still here today.

Speaker 12 (40:39):
To put that out front so people understand the first
step in being a believer is.

Speaker 11 (40:46):
To know who.

Speaker 10 (40:49):
Jesus Christ is. He's the son of God and the
same spirit that's in him with and his father.

Speaker 12 (40:55):
Learning that and believing that is essential. The Kingdom, of course,
is an anthem. This is the song that is my
current release as of yesterday, and the Kingdom is the opportunity.

Speaker 10 (41:10):
As you spoke so eloquently a few minutes ago.

Speaker 12 (41:13):
John, that in the Kingdom, you know, it's just this
magnificent place. But there's some things, you know, our flesh,
there's no place for our flesh in the Kingdom.

Speaker 10 (41:26):
It's a spiritual situation.

Speaker 12 (41:29):
So we got to do here on earth and prepare
ourselves and prepare our spirit to be worthy to be
in the presence of God. And so there's some things
that we have to do while we hear you know,
and in the song the Kingdom, I say, unless you're
born again and walk with the spiritual life, your access

(41:52):
to the Lord, it could get denied. He gave you
lifetime to get in Christ, to speak his word, cause
his fool for your life. So you got to speak
the word on your life. If you want its blessings
on your life, you got to get with price I'm
saying is his kingdom is his dominion, but his dominion

(42:15):
is in our life and its far life, and that's.

Speaker 10 (42:18):
His way in the Kingdom.

Speaker 12 (42:20):
I'm just saying, the fundamentals of what I put into
my music are some of the tools and attributes that
we want to share with everybody. And let this praise
be something that.

Speaker 10 (42:36):
Walks with you all the time.

Speaker 12 (42:39):
And you know, I mean it's empowering to me because
it's something that I thought and God helped me manifest
it with his.

Speaker 10 (42:51):
Word in scripture and teachings. It's just how all of
it came together is again.

Speaker 12 (43:01):
An example of when you let go and let God.

Speaker 11 (43:05):
And doctor Mitchell, can you share some of your personal
encounters with God that shaped your faith in Him.

Speaker 12 (43:16):
Well, for sure, those a mirage of things that God
has done.

Speaker 10 (43:24):
The first thing is is putting me in a position
to have the.

Speaker 12 (43:33):
To have the health.

Speaker 10 (43:37):
After so many years of living.

Speaker 12 (43:41):
There are many many artists that don't have a voice,
the physical voice that God gave us. And you wouldn't
expect that someone who's got thirty four years in the
recording business to still have the kind of voice that
God has afforded me to put together this record. And

(44:04):
I'm not saying that my voice is like a Whitney
Houston or a Babyface Frankie Beverley. I'm not that kind
of a singer. But I do believe that I have
enough voice and enough commercial sound that it attracts a
listener to listen to the message and feel the compassion,

(44:28):
feel the conviction of what I'm singing about, to know
that you know how much this guy's got to really,
really really love Christ. And then when you sit back
and think, well, he's not a songwriter. He never wrote
any songs for after seven, He never wrote any songs
or anybody else but to write compelling lyricals.

Speaker 10 (44:52):
About God. I can't take credit for it. I take
credit for allowing.

Speaker 12 (44:59):
God to use me, because that's exactly what you did.
You know, when you don't have no experience at writing
a song, people come up with.

Speaker 10 (45:13):
Stories all the time.

Speaker 12 (45:17):
But the story has got to it's it's got to
move in a certain way where you just can't be
too detailed, but you can't be too undetailed, so that
the message is able to be told and accepted in
a way that.

Speaker 10 (45:36):
People feel it. You know, and when you when you when.

Speaker 12 (45:40):
You sit and you watch Babyface and Daryl l A
Read and you know great writers Jimmy and Terry Beyonce
is amazing writer. When you see people write these great songs,
you know, it's fascinating how they moved.

Speaker 10 (46:01):
Through a song.

Speaker 12 (46:02):
But it's only a few words, but it's the right
words connected here and here and there that when you
sing along, you don't even think about how they did it.
How did they take this part in that part and
this part.

Speaker 10 (46:19):
And I'm sitting here telling you as I was doing it.
It wasn't always a consciousness. It just felt good.

Speaker 12 (46:29):
Something felt good, and then you write it and oh no,
maybe I shouldn't say it like it, Maybe I should
say it like this.

Speaker 10 (46:35):
But over time I wrote.

Speaker 12 (46:38):
About twenty five thirty songs during that period that I
wrote Food for Your Life, and it got easier over time.
But I must say that that was the biggest writing.
This album was the biggest thing that I can tell you.
God came in and made a way out of no way,

(47:00):
and He's opening one.

Speaker 10 (47:01):
Door after the other. Even now, I've.

Speaker 12 (47:06):
Been asked to be the host of Charlotte Gospel music
video show. You know, I ain't had no experience being no.

Speaker 10 (47:18):
Host, let alone you know, a video show. But it's
a gospel video show, you know.

Speaker 12 (47:26):
And here I am now.

Speaker 10 (47:29):
With this record out and needing.

Speaker 12 (47:33):
As much exposure as you can get to support a
record like this, you know.

Speaker 10 (47:39):
But God made that happen. I wasn't seeking it.

Speaker 12 (47:42):
I wasn't looking forward to the last thing on my mind.

Speaker 10 (47:45):
I'm thinking about this record.

Speaker 12 (47:47):
But I'm just saying God, you know, signs and wonders,
is so hard for us to become believers. But I'm
just here to tell people humbly.

Speaker 6 (48:20):
Unless you're going again and mark with a spiritual life right,
your access to a lot it could be denied.

Speaker 1 (48:29):
Well, he gave you lifetime to get in CHRISTI to
speak his word because it's true for your life. Come on,
and if you want this blessed known your life, you.

Speaker 15 (48:38):
Have to get with Christ because he's the key.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
