The Season of Divine Order and the Let's Talk to
the Lord Gospel radio talk show and Kingdom Our guests
for season two in of Let's Talk to the Lord
is gospel recording artists and pastor Pastor Kenneth Marsh. Kingdom
Pastor Kenneth Marsh, born to the late Elder Clarence and
(06:12):
Barbara Marsh, was two pounds at birth. The doctor said
he wouldn't walk or talk, but look at God. He
began ministry at the age of nine. As he grew
in ministry, God blessed him to have numerous groups El Shadday, Psalms,
(06:33):
Kenneth Marsh and Company, New Beginnings, Fresh Anointing and k
f M Singers, and currently Kenneth Marsh and Favored Music Ministry.
He has also opened for numerous gospel recording artists such
as Ty Trippett, the late Reverend Timothy Wright, and Hezekiah Walker,
(06:57):
just to name a few past Sir Kenneth Marsh, welcome
to let's talk to the Lord.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Thank you, sir, thank you so much. Peace and blessing
to you.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
And before we began our interview, after Marsh, in your
own words, please describe the story of your life.
Speaker 10 (07:23):
Well, I am grateful like it was read and from
my bio, I was born to the two awesome gifts
that God blessed to bring me in this world. They'll
the Clarence Marsh and Barbara Marsh right here in Baltimore.
Come out of five generations of preachers, singers, and cooks,
and I do it all. So I'm grateful for the
(07:46):
upbringing of my parents. I was a PK kid, so
I was in church. I told I tell people, yeah,
my parents was drug dealers. They drove me to church Sunday,
Monday to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. So now
that foundation is definitely in me and has kept me
(08:08):
going up to this point. So I give God praise
for that upbringing because it's well needed and it works.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
It works.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
Amen and Pastor Marris, please tell the Kingdom when and
where Christ found you and share a little of your
journey to relationship with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Speaker 10 (08:37):
Well, it started at a very early age for me.
The first song that I sung music wise was by
in nineteen seventy five by the late Great Joe Lagan
and the Mighty Clouds of Joy. If God Isn't Dead,
That was the first solo that I sung. And then
(08:58):
every third Sunday it was Missionary Sunday, and they allowed
me to get up and speak on the topic and
I came out of his season Let This Mind Be
in You, which was also in Christ Jesus.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (09:10):
It was something about that dove that I had to
keep putting it in there, and they allowed me to
minister on every Missionary Sunday and it just started from there.
God started to use me down through the years, and
I was grateful He saved my soul back in eighty
(09:31):
four and it started to just you know, take off
from there being groomed from ministry and you know, what's
in you has to come out. So being a p
K kid, it was like, really didn't have any of
the choice but to do it. So I was doing
both the music ministry, and I tell them that you know,
(09:56):
it goes both in both hand in hand preaching enemy ministry,
it goes in And I felt myself doing music ministry,
but I was preaching more than and I was like, Okay,
there's another part that God is doing here. So when
I finally accepted the call, God just started to tremendously
bless and open up doors. And I'm grateful for the
(10:20):
path that He has has brought me through this journey.
September will be fifty years of music ministry, and I've
been ministering the Word as well.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
So I give God praise for him.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
And what is your calling and purpose in the Body
of Christ and in the Kingdom of God.
Speaker 10 (10:47):
My calling is to reach those that has been held
down from doing the work of God. What I mean,
doing my my journey. There has been times that I've
been at different ministries, and I give God praise for
(11:09):
the gifts of music. But a lot of some places
that I was at that was the only place that
they held me at was the music level. But the
other part of ministry I couldn't really be able to
tap into because they held me at the music level.
So once God made a way for me to be
(11:32):
able to not be held down anymore and to be
able to work freely in ministry and give him all.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
My goal and.
Speaker 10 (11:43):
Vision and ministry is to help those that have been
in those type of situations of wanting to do what
God has called them to do, but has been held back,
held down, not being able to flow in the ministry
that God has given them. And so that's where God
has me, has me at. And you know, you have
(12:05):
to be the first partaker of it. And I give
God praise because the first one had to start with
my wife. She loved music, loved music, but there was
the other side of her that she was just doing music,
doing music and not flowing into it. And God rest
his soul. Before my dad passed, he told my wife,
(12:28):
he said, daughter, it's time for you to walk into
your calling. And where God has her at now, Oh,
my gosh, when she ministers the word, I just sit
there and I look at like, Yep, she's free. So
when you're free to be able to flow into the
ministry that God calls you, it makes the difference because
(12:50):
you're not held down anymore.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Amen, Amen, and a man again Kingdom will be interviewing
Pastor marsh from the topic being in ministry and being
in good health and the importance of practicing good health
with ministry. So to begin kingdom in God's word, it declares,
(13:16):
be old, I will bring it health and healing. I
will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity
and security. A joyful heart is good medicine, but a
crushed spirit dries up the bones. Or do you not
(13:38):
know that your body is the temple of the Holy
Spirit within you who have from God? The prophet Jeremiah
declared in the thirtieth chapter and the seventeenth verse. For
I will restore health to you and heal you of
your wounds, says the Lord Kingdom. God addresses this topic
(14:01):
directly and indirectly in our Holy scriptures, emphasizing both physical
and spiritual health and well being. Thevitical laws addresses dietary
and care for the body. Healing is a well known
theme in our Holy scriptures, where Jesus heals many physical
(14:25):
ailments and disabilities, emphasizing the importance of health and well being. Kingdom,
prayer and health are connected. Apostle James declared in the
fifth Chapter. He instructs us that if there are any
sick among you, to let them, call for the elders
of the church to pray over them and anoint them
(14:48):
with oil in the name of our Lord, and the
prayer in faith will make the sick person well. The
new International version of Third John when An too, declares,
dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health,
and that all may go well with you, as your
soul is getting along well. The Amplified Bible declares, Beloved,
(15:13):
I pray that in every way you may succeed and
prosper and be in good health physically, just as I
know your soul prospers spiritually and Kingdom the God's Word
translation declares, dear friend, I pray that everything may go
(15:34):
well with you, and that you may be in good health,
as I know you are well in spirit Kingdom. The
Amplified Bible was developed by the Lachman Foundation in cooperation
with Zondervan and led by Francis Stewart. It began with
a vision to enhance the clarity of scripture by using
(15:57):
the Intex's application to terrify the meaning of Greek words
and bring clarity to God's words. Kingdom health was a
significant concern during Biblical times as it is today. The
wish for good health indicates an understanding of the physical
(16:20):
needs of believers and the importance of the physical well
being and serving God effectively. The ancient world, health was
often seen as something not firmly secure and something that
could easily change or even collapse, and something that's out
(16:41):
of one's control, and good health was seen as a
blessing from God that aligns with the Biblical view the
body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. So, Pastor
marsh what has your experience been with this topic as
it relates to ministry, And you know.
Speaker 10 (17:05):
Well, it's it's a very important topic because it definitely
hits a home for me to God be the glory.
It's been three weeks today that I had two heart attacks.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Jesus, and.
Speaker 10 (17:24):
I'm grateful I'm alive. God brought me through it. When
I came out to the hospital, there were some changes
that I had to be made. There were some things
that the doctors told me, and I had to make
some definite drastic changes for the better, because yes, we
(17:46):
love ministry, but how can we be effective in ministry
and our temples are not good? So there has been
some changes that I've had to take take care of
and I'm still in recovery.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
I'm back doing doing ministry, but I'm taking my time.
Speaker 10 (18:07):
I'm grateful to have a awesome a group of people
that are keeping watch over me, making sure I'm not
overdoing it.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
So we as the body of Christ, we have to
make sure that that that our temples are good.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
We have to.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Get checked, we have to do what needs to be
done to make sure that we are good, because if we.
Speaker 10 (18:33):
Go down, We're not gonna be no good to anybody
or ourselves if our bodies go down. So I'm definitely
finding out a couple of things that it's okay to
say no, It's okay to say I need rest, so
you have to you have to take care of your bodies.
(18:57):
The one thing I've found out that's stray will attack
your body in so many ways, and you have to
take care of yourself. These past couple months, it was
a lot of deaths that really hit me hard. September,
(19:18):
my mother buried, my mother, my single dropped in November.
My producer passed in January twenty twenty five. So it
was like, it was a lot of things that had
hit me that I needed to just take a break
(19:38):
and rest my body, rest my mind. But I was
continually going. I was trying to keep busy so I
wouldn't think of the things that had just happened. Not knowing,
I was putting more pressure on my body instead of
just resting. So we have to take care of ourselves.
(19:58):
It's very important. If you feel something and you know
it's not right, go to check. Go get checked. I
always tell people go to the doctors. In fact, the
name of Jesus on it, but go to the doctors.
You have to take medicine for something, do it.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
I was one I did not.
Speaker 10 (20:17):
I was not a fan of taking medicine. Now I
have to take the medicine. If I miss it, I
feel it in my body. Once it's in my system,
I'm good. Is that saying that I don't believe that
God can't help me. I'm not saying that. I believe
God is the ultimate healer, but He has the doctors
(20:40):
here for a reason.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
So please just go get yourself checked. It's very important.
Speaker 10 (20:47):
It will not only help you, but it will help
those that are around you, because those that are around you,
when you down, it affects them as well.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Ay Man and Kingdom, we know as a truth that
trying to serve God and the demands that it has
on our bodies, that the healthier we are, the easier
it is, especially when using your physical body in preaching,
playing the drums, directing the choir, setting up for services, cooking, cleaning,
(21:22):
speaking about the physical activities that come with the work
of the ministry. If we are ill, obviously it will
be difficult to partake or perform activities. So good health
is really a major part. Much cannot be done sick.
Usually when sickness comes, we cancel engagements, etc. Also when
(21:44):
it comes to us, bearing fruit and the fruit of
the spirit really amplifies here because we are talking about
a healthy spirit Man, and fruits and vegetables make us
for a healthy strong body. Along with working out and
jogging and lifting weights, keeps our bodies solid and healthy
(22:05):
and our spirit man also as we watch what we
eat physically and what we eat spiritually speaking that they
work hand in hand. So pastor Marge, please speak about
being healthy and physically working out to keep the physical
of healthy.
Speaker 10 (22:27):
Yes, it's a good thing to work out, doing walks,
working out with weights. I had just told my wife today,
I said that, you know, I really need to start
walking to try to make sure that my legs and
(22:51):
everything is you know, I'm still able to move them
and you know different things because not moving your legs
it could cause you to have blood clots, and no
one wants to wants to get blood clots or you know,
go even go through that type of situation. So exercising
(23:12):
is really good. You know what your body can can
tak my younger years, I love working out with weights.
Now that I'm where I'm at now, I can't work
out with the weights like I could when I was younger,
but it's still something that I can be able to
do that won't be so strenuous on my body.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
So you know what your body can take if you if.
Speaker 11 (23:37):
You want to do the walks, uh, do the walks
and do the walks, and then you know, just do
what you have to do so you can be so
you can be healthy, and because it.
Speaker 10 (23:52):
Will definitely make make things, make things, make things a
whole lot better.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
And lastly, but not least, we know some don't like
talking about the medical doctor, but our yearly physicals and mammograms, colonoscopies,
eye exams and shots, even though they are usually not
at the top of the list, but are important also.
(24:22):
So Pastor Mars, what is your advice and experience with
keeping our preventative checkups and exam schedules so we can
have early detection of anything that might be trying to
form in our bodies.
Speaker 10 (24:38):
Yes, please, I would say, please keep all of your appointments.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
I had to. I I learned that the hard way.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (24:51):
They say that, uh, when you get a certain age
that you have to go and get the colonosopy. Well,
I went way past the age. I didn't even go,
and things started to happen in my body. And when
(25:12):
I finally did go, come to find out, I did
not know that I had some things in my body
that was causing cancer.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
And I never knew it because why I was not
following up with my doctor's appointments.
Speaker 10 (25:33):
So I went on and started going and I'm grateful
that they caught everything at an early stage where now
I am cancer free, So I give God praise.
Speaker 6 (25:47):
But we have to follow up with our appointments. Keeping
out doctor's appointments is very very important. Today I had
to go see my cardiologists. Thursday I see my primary
doctor so and tomorrow I start therapy.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
So all this week is what making sure the body
is good. So we have to make sure that we
keep our appointments so.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
We will know.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
That our levels are good. If our levels are not
where supposed where they're supposed to be at.
Speaker 10 (26:27):
Then we can be able to do what needs to
be done. So keeping our appointments is very very important.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
And Pastor Mersh, is there anything else about this topic
that we may have missed that you would like to
add at this time.
Speaker 10 (26:46):
Now, I just wanted to realize that, you know, please
just keep your appointments. If you feel something not right,
please just going in and get it checked, because waiting,
you never know, it could get worse. Going in when
(27:07):
you're not feeling well, it could possibly something be going
on that they can catch and help to make sure
that you know you don't have to go through that
type of issues again and you can be able to
be better and able to do what God has caused
all of us to do. We must be healthy.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
Amen, Pastor Kenneth March. Please share your booking information social
media and websites to our listeners.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
And please talk briefly about the music being featured during
this podcast. We just heard Raise Our Praise and we're
getting ready to hear Ordinariy.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yes, I am so grateful for Raise Our Praise. That
was the first single that we did back in twenty
twenty one, and I'm grateful for that song.
Speaker 10 (29:11):
Good friend of my good friend of mine, Deacon John
Gregory Graham originally from Baltimore, but he moved to Rocky Mountain,
North Carolina. He had been telling me for a good while, Bro,
you gotta come over the house. I got some music.
I got some music. I got some music, and I
was like, okay. So I finally went over there and
(29:33):
heard the music and he said, you can record it.
And I was so honored that the Lord laid on
his heart to do that, and God started to bless
raise our praise all over the country. We won some
awards for it and everything, and now we're up to
(29:54):
the news. Single that has just been released.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
A Minute tell Us a little Bit about Ordinary.
Speaker 10 (30:03):
Ordinary was produced and arranged by the late Great Spell
Award winning Gods for Recording Artists, Minister Isaiah Donelle Thomas,
who passed in January of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
We worked on the song about a year ago, and
we were going so much.
Speaker 10 (30:27):
We were preaching and traveling and everything and going with that,
making sure about your health. I had told Minister Isaiah
and executive producer. They saw that that I was going
so much, whereas it was starting to affect my voice.
I wasn't able to do what I knew I could
do because I had been preaching and not getting the rest,
(30:50):
and they gave me some time off to get myself together.
And when I came back, we just went in got
allow us to go to the studio, knocked everything out,
everything well, and this song was released on November the seventeenth.
We Minister Isaiah ministered the song at my anniversary in September.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
The song came out on November.
Speaker 10 (31:14):
The seventeenth, and he transitioned in January of twenty twenty five,
so he produced and arranged Ordinary. And I am so
excited how the song has been blessing people.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
It is all over the country.
Speaker 10 (31:29):
We've been nominated for a couple of awards for it,
and I'm just so grateful for the song. We ministered
the song yesterday in the closing of My Kingdom Favorite Conference,
and the God just blessed the band, the music and
shout out to my Bishop Agnes M. Smith, Prelate of
(31:51):
the Pillar Truth Churches, the Apostolic Faith International.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
She was sitting in the poolpit and I just turned
to her and I said, Bishop, you want to sing Ordinary?
Speaker 10 (32:00):
She grabbed the bike and if she didn't sing Ordinary
and I just stood there and just smiled. So God
has blessed Ordinary to bless the masses, and I'm just
so grateful.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
And how may the Kingdom purchase your music and support
your ministry.
Speaker 12 (32:19):
You can be able to purchase it. It's on all
music outlets, all the music digital outlets. It's on Spotify,
all the music outlets, and you can purchase it there.
Speaker 10 (32:35):
We're about to start preparing to do do a video
for Ordinary. We're working on that in the next month
or so to be doing a video for Ordinary. But
it's on all digital outlets and Kingdom.
